Well, this week I did not do so well. Only 4/10, one of my worst-ever scores. John Rentoul got 6/10. I did not know the answers to questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 10.
The police are now “too busy” (in their own minds, “too important”) to deal with the real crimes that matter to most people, just as most nurses are too busy or too important to deal with basic cleanliness of hospitals, (so cleaning has been outsourced to useless private companies).
The police, infested by Common Purpose etc, now seem more interested in censoring online or other opinion, and acting as a poundland KGB.
“Here is the Mattel company, with its new range of trouser-wearing, white-coated, stethoscoped ‘role model’ Barbies, frantically sucking up to the Spirit of the Age.
Not all of them are vaccine inventors like Dame Sarah. One is described as a ‘frontline worker’ who ‘joined forces with other Asian-American medics to fight racial bias in the pandemic’. Another is a psychiatrist who has ‘campaigned against systemic racism in the healthcare profession’.
And so once again we see a major corporation making its peace with the new regime. There is barely any company, institution, school, publication or church which has not done the same, or is not about to do it.
People who would have laughed at ‘loony Left’ councils 30 years ago now use language and follow rules which they once mocked when Ken Livingstone and his allies proposed them.
Those who claim to despise Jeremy Corbyn often follow the ideas he helped devise…
And it is not just that they join in. They are afraid to criticise. Huge areas of opinion are now closed off from discussion, for fear of cancellation, advertising boycotts, and generally being cast into the outer darkness.
With gathering speed and completeness, a total revolution in thought and morals is taking hold of Western societies, just at the moment when they should be girding themselves against pressure to become more like China.
The zero-Covid fanatics, ready to throttle our society in pursuit of an illusion of perfect safety, have greatly benefited from this. And in the weeks to come the zealots of man-made global warming will press their dogmatic agenda and their demands that we impoverish ourselves to save the planet (demands China refuses to follow).
If all this had happened in a few weeks, while Red Guards slouched on street corners and the leaders of the old regime were dragged off to the firing squad, we’d see it for what it is. But, as long as there are enough loo-rolls in the supermarket, and the electricity keeps flowing, most people will never notice the revolution raging all around them.” [Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday].
Hitchens’ column this week is also worth reading for comment about both the ever-shrinking British naval reach, and the facemask nonsense.
GB News
I have still not watched the doomed GB News “controlled opposition” TV station. I have watched a few clips on Twitter. Today I saw another grovelling interview of a character from the malicious Jew-Zionist pressure group and fake “charity” calling itself “Campaign Against Antisemitism”. This time it was CAA “Chief Executive” Gideon Falter.
The interviewer was one Michelle Dewberry [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Dewberry], described (I think rather kindly) by Wikipedia as “businesswoman, politician, presenter, and media personality.“
The “businesswoman” bit seems to be based on two small businesses started 15-20 years ago, both of which seem to have bombed, though information seems limited.
As for “politician”, that seems to be founded on her two unsuccessful attempts to be elected as MP (once as Independent, once for Brexit Party).
As interviewer, I thought her grovellingly unwilling to challenge Falter. Other impressions? Semi-coherent, biased in presentation, and actually rather dull.
I do not suppose that Michelle Dewberry will find life tough once this TV station (pretending to be a media outlet for dissidence) collapses: she has a rather wealthy boyfriend [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Jordan#Personal_life].
How long before GB News does collapse? At a guess, 6-12 months.
[Update, 7 August 2022: seems that I was premature in predicting that GB News would disappear within 12 months. It is still around, though I myself have still not seen it even once.
GB News’ most recent filed profit/loss, only up to May 2021, shows a loss of £2.7M.
Goodness me! Can this be right? Cloth face masks are 'comfort blankets' that do little to curb Covid spread, Sage adviser warns https://t.co/7j16kpIGqP
This whole nonsense of over-reaction to the virus must be ended! People who are completely or effectively OK are now being told to isolate, not to go out, not to go to work. Important functions such as control rooms for power generation and transport are ceasing to operate, all because of this pathetic testing and tracing regime.
At some point, the country must wake up from this whole delusion.
“Well, I now have to praise the BBC’s Nick Robinson for saying this on the Today programme on Wednesday: ‘The evidence is that the masks that most of us wear, the one I have got here in my pocket, a sort of cotton mask that you either make yourself or that you buy, gives you no protection at all, absolutely none.’ After ages of assuming that loose cloth masks are effective, this must be the first time a major BBC presenter has stated the experimental truth. Yet nobody seems to have noticed.” [Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday].
“Ultra-feminists despised the decent, honourable tasks of motherhood, claiming that the only road to fulfilment lay in wage-slavery outside the home. Any fool could have told them that paid employment is not the road to freedom, but they did not want to hear this. And nobody has yet devised a way of getting men to embrace the tasks wage-slave women no longer have time to do. So they don’t get done.” [Peter Hitchens, Mail on Sunday].

“Lots of idiots still admire Cuba, believing the propaganda of its nasty, despotic junta. I think this is because so many of the former student revolutionaries of the 1960s imagine themselves in beards and fatigues riding at the head of a triumphant revolutionary parade into the fallen citadels of conservative, Christian civilisation.
The truth about Cuba – that it is a miserable, rationed secret-police state that even has first-class money for the elite and second-class money for its ordinary people – has always been unwelcome.
So has the fact that this potentially wealthy country is run by drearymiddle-aged bureaucrats, fearful of their subjects, with brains of solid Marxist concrete, about as rebellious and romantic as a public lavatory. Yet the youthful, barricade-storming image must still be maintained. Its official radio station, a conduit of weary, censored propaganda, is called Rebel Radio.
But now a real rebellion against these self-styled rebels has broken out on the streets of Havana. It looks to me like a proper uprising from below, not orchestrated by anybody.
And the admirers of Castro’s squalid state – who still litter the BBC, the universities, the schools, the media and the Civil Service – don’t know what to do or say. For they do not want to admit that, like the man they long admired, they have themselves become an intolerant, inflexible ruling class.“[Peter Hitchens, Mail on Sunday]
Very true. I have argued all my life against idiots who thought that Marxist-Leninist or derivative regimes in the Soviet Union, Cuba, North Vietnam, Nicaragua, and now Venezuela were decent and worth supporting.
As far as Cuba is concerned, the sort of people who even now support it are (generalizing wildly) like the NHS doctor whose cottage near Totnes I was once (2001) thinking of renting. She could not show me the place because, I was told, she is “cycling in Cuba”. Cuba is revered by some because it trains vast numbers of health professionals, who are then ordered to work in other countries so that Cuba can get foreign exchange, or barter goods.
As for the British and other mugs who supported the Cuban-inspired Sandinistas in the 1980s, they are still around, those that never woke up (to reality, not “wokeness”), and now support Venezuela, “Black Lives Matter” etc. Nicaragua itself is now suffering under the ex-Sandinista rebel, Ortega, and is a complete mess, but the “woke” idiots have other idols these days.
“Che” would not necessarily now be on their side, had he escaped being given a couple of rounds in the head in Bolivia over 50 years ago:
Socialism of the old type has frozen Cuba in time, to an extent that even the Soviet Union was not. Occasionally one sees TV people doing travel shows about Cuba. I think that Michael Portillo did one mainly about Cuba’s shambolic trains; Chris Tarrant certainly did.
Cuba’s trains are apparently kept going by all sorts of weird and wonderful methods, rather like those “iconic” 1950s American cars that ferry tourists around Havana.
Havana itself is falling to pieces. Occasionally, buildings just collapse after decades of little or no maintenance.
To some extent, I can see why some British, other European, American, people “support” Cuba: it has stood its ground against its superpower neighbour, it has its own identity etc. Other people have felt that way about other small and embattled states: Rhodesia, Israel, Taiwan, even North Korea. However, that is a sentimental attachment (if any) better indulged from a distance.
Cuba is basically a shambles. Admittedly, I myself have only seen it directly from the air (overflying from Tampa, Florida, to Grand Cayman), and from the sea (between Cuba and Jamaica).
My only contact with Cuban bureaucracy was when some British and expat Iranian scientists asked me to help find a sponsor for their biofuel project (I called it, to myself, “making gold out of straw”). A couple of countries were interested. This was in or about 1995.
The Ukrainian Ambassador in London even accompanied me (in his rather nice chauffeur-driven Lexus limousine) to Porton Down research centre (Wiltshire) one day, to meet with the team at their labs. That led to nothing, but at least the Ukrainians were interested. The Cuban Ambassador did not even reply to my letter! That despite the fact that Cuba would have been ideal— a country in need of fuel, with a huge quantity of otherwise unusable biomass (sugar cane detritus), and with a large cadre of scientifically-trained labour. Useless. Well, there it is…
🇨🇺 All of Cuba was left without electricity, ten million people in the dark

know, I am not anti Israel. Quite the oppose. But this is an injustice that would be important to highlight wherever it was. And here, in case you missed it, is @chedwardes moving interview in @thetimeshttps://t.co/SXf5ZHsL2C
Robert Peston is Jewish (or possibly part-Jewish…I am uncertain), but not particularly, if at all, sectarian. He was not brought up to be sectarian, I believe I read somewhere. That kind of distinction was recognized, up to a point, in National Socialist Germany, under the “Nuremberg Laws”, where those who were Mischlingen, or part-Jew, were treated in law differently depending on whether they adhered to Jewish religious communities etc, or not: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Laws#Classifications_under_the_laws.
As can be seen in those tweets and reports, the Jews in Israel use “lawfare” (“legal” warfare) to get what they want. When that fails on its own, they use illegal methods, pressure, corruption, and ultimately violence. In the end, it is little different in the UK, France, and other places where Jews exist in large numbers.

Thanks @darrenjsaudners, but you'll be lucky if you get free minds for all. Voluntary masking( and much of it *is* voluntary) is a gesture of submission to the allegedly benevolent loving state. https://t.co/7Ea4IDpnTT
Yes. Much of the scare regime of the past 19+ months has been superficially “voluntary” (the idiots wearing facemasks while cycling in the country etc). There was some Jew, a few years ago, who ran a thing at Downing Street called the “Nudge Unit”, trying to pressure the public to do this or that without using law. Is that unit still around in some form?

Actually, @golbadock_dan it is a freedom, not a right. But it is one of the very few actual powers the people possess. Imagine if they held an election, and nobody came. A close-to-zero vote would deprive the current political class of legitimacy, and force major reform. https://t.co/oyPsMrP61Q
Peter Hitchens is sadly deluded here, though perhaps if only a tiny handful were to vote, it might present a moral challenge. That never happens. Not in major elections. Voting is usually pointless; abstention is always pointless. Something else might get rid of the present nuisances, but I think that, in the present climate, I prefer not to suggest it…

The “panicdemic” has been, and continues to be, an incredible moment in the history, especially, of the Western world. The moment in time when the masses were put to the test as regards their wish to be free people, and chose serfdom, all because they were subjected to a (so far) almost 18-month propaganda fear campaign, backed up by a (so far) toytown police state.
Peter Hitchens has been warning of this horrible consequence from the start of this lockdown fiasco. https://t.co/nQZCPK06Ev
You hardly have to be Dr. Schacht to understand that expansion of the money supply leads directly to inflation, and may lead to hyper-inflation.
As to the rich rushing to park their money in fixed assets, look at, for example, the frantic rush to buy country estates over the past few years and especially recently. In fact, there are few estates in England or Scotland on the market, and those that do come onto the market are often sold within weeks or even days.
Apart from land and housing, the price of gold has continued to rise quite fast.
It is not a question of whether your records contain anything potentially embarrassing (mine certainly do not), but one of principle, just as it is a matter of principle that one should be free to walk, travel, shop etc without wearing a (pointless in any case) muzzle, as with the facemask nonsense; or just as one should be able to drive from A to B without some plod demanding to know whether you have reasonable cause to be on the roads.

#TakeOffYourMask I will take it off when I wish to, not when some clowns on social media tell me to. Quite frankly wearing it for 5-10 mins when i'm in a shop is no issue whatsoever and I have asthma.
An idiot who thinks it oppressive to be encouraged by tweets to take off his facemask muzzle, but is only wearing one in the first place because he was told to, on pain of prosecution, because idiots in government (eg “Boris”) have ordered him to wear one…
Another idiot. Even leaving aside the fact that the facemask nonsense keeps no-one “safe”, she says that “it’s none of your business what I wear“, yet no doubt (like all the facemask zealots) thinks that people should be forced, by both oppressive law and social pressure, to wear a facemask.
I just saw another similar tweet, from a similar tweeter, who wants everyone to wear facemasks until allowed not to, yet whose Twitter profile says “no prisons, no borders“! Twitter has slowly become the realm of the mentally-ill and/or “antifa” idiots, and/or Jews, and/or pseudo-socialists, and/or those who think that freedom means freedom to comply with government impositions.
The vast majority of people, despite having been brainwashed for a year and a half, in their hearts know that the endless nonsense (facemasks, hand gel everywhere, ridiculous one-way systems inside shops etc) is just that— nonsense. They all, or most of them, pretend to comply because of the combination of enforcement and social pressure (“laws”, “rules”, “advice”, posters, police, fines, security guards, self-important shop people).
Having said that, the past year and a half has had a huge effect. It has pretty much destroyed the illusion that the British people have “freedom” (or even want it). Spineless.
Masks will continue to perform a useful function in society. It will help identify the weak, the anxious & the stupidly suggestible. Always good to know #TakeOffYourMask

Someone needs a lesson in arithmetic, unless he is referring to his own shared history of that bakery. Perhaps. Still, a sad report. Gone after 91 years. Just one of the casualties of the past couple of years.
Labour continues to bump along almost at the bottom of major-party credibility. As I have blogged often previously, Labour’s problem was not Corbyn, as such; neither is it Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer, as such. It stems more from Labour’s disappearing traditional base, and from Labour’s now almost invisible identity.
The opinion poll above does not show Conservative Party popularity so much as Labour Party unpopularity, of course. The point is, for what does Labour stand? Anything? As many have said, half-joking, it seems to be something akin to “workhouses are good, but we say let’s run them efficiently, and more fairly”. I do not think that that will attract many voters.
Of course, there are still pockets of die-hard Labour right-or-wrong support around. The sort of old-style Northern English tribalism that can be seen on TV in the Daily Mirror journalist Kevin Maguire (who in fact lives in some comfort in London).
That kind of ping-pong, cuckoo clock Con-Lab-Con-Lab politics is so out of date now. Especially when the policies of the supposed political rivals are almost identical.
In July, there will be held the Batley and Spen by-election. Labour is putting up the sister of the assassinated MP, Jo Cox, which MP has been all but canonized by the msm since her death in 2016.
I shall blog about the by-election when all runners and riders are in the frame, but what occurs to me at this stage is how desperate Labour must be to select as candidate someone purely because her sister was assassinated. Labour obviously hopes for some kind of sympathy vote, or “solidarity” vote. I doubt that it will work, but we shall have to see. Labour really has no other card to play.
Reality v. semblance
Nobody should be disciplined for stating a biological fact.
“Nearly a third of all prosecutions brought under Covid-19 laws in the first year of the pandemic were incorrectly charged, a review has found…Police forces around the UK were handed powers by the government last March to enforce the ‘stay at home’ message and break up large gatherings of people…Officers were also empowered to prosecute people for breaking lockdown, not wearing masks on public transport, throwing house parties, and meeting in the street in groups.
However a Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) review of court cases which had been concluded by March 31 this year found that 549 out of 1,821 had been incorrectly charged…Every one of the 270 prosecutions brought under the Coronavirus Act 2020 – which granted powers to direct infectious people into quarantine – had either been abandoned or convictions overturned.
The review also found that the wrong offences contained in a myriad of versions of the Health Protection regulations had been deployed by police officers.
The problems with the use of coronavirus offences were first identified last April, just days into the pandemic, when journalists noticed that a woman had been wrongly prosecuted and convicted under the Coronavirus Act in Newcastle.
The review found the Health Protection regulations had also been misapplied by police, using out-of-date rules and making mistakes such as deploying an offence specific to Wales for a London prosecution.
The review found that 1,272 of the 1,551 Health Protection regulation cases had been correctly charged, with some prosecutions abandoned due to insufficient evidence.
More than 1,000 Covid-19 cases have been brought to courts through the Single Justice Procedure, which allows a magistrate to deal with the case administratively instead of at an open court hearing.
Those cases are not reviewed at court by a prosecutor, and are instead processed by police forces.” [Evening Standard].
So once again the police failed to know, understand, and properly apply laws and regulations and, in this case, conflating these with (supposed) “rules”, and with cretinous “advice” given out by politicians and their ridiculous advisers.
That Metropolitan Police reply to the Jew troll Twitter account, “@gnasherjew”, displays an ignorance of the law irritatingly common among the police today.
Crown Court and other judges in, for example, the Alison Chabloz cases, have made it clear time after time in recent years that “antisemitism” is not a crime in England. Not a “hate crime”, not any kind of crime.
The same goes for so-called “holocaust” “denial” (an incident of historical revision and/or revisionism).
To use the language of the old-style bank managers, it is “disappointing” that the police, charged with upholding the law, so often now seem not to know or understand what the law actually is…
Twitter is full of the fact that the fake “British nationalist” known as Tommy Robinson has attended the quite small pro-Israel march in London, estimated as fewer than 10,000 (I think), compared to the 200,000-strong anti-Israel march recently.
The pro-Israel “activists” of that sort (others being “Prison Planet” Watson, Katie Hopkins etc) are just a distraction; wastes of space.
The Jews who organized today’s small pro-Israel demonstration (only 1,500 attended, out of 250,000+ Jews in the UK), have issued statements criticizing “Robinson” for having attended. They despise him, yet there he was, literally wrapping himself in the Israeli flag! What more can he possibly do to try to ingratiate himself with “them”?
In fact, was I too generous in thinking that the crowd today numbered even 1,500?
I predicted that attendance would be under 1,000 at the Zionist Fed. "Solidarity with Israel" rally today. A Sky News reporter estimated 150. Wonder why she didn't mention well known attendees like the guy in the middle of this pic: ex-BNP member, EDL leader Tommy Robinson? pic.twitter.com/ObakeFGM9y

If that were an Arab or other young person, who travelled from the UK to the Middle East to be trained in the use of weapons and explosives, not only would it be a tabloid newspaper story but, also, the “anti-terror” police and others would take an interest. Jewish? Israel? Oh, no problem…
The complacency of the police and others is incredible.
The MOSSAD defector, “Ostrovsky”, wrote in his book By Way of Deception (I read it in the USA when it was published in 1990) that MOSSAD and other elements of the Israeli state maintain arms caches in all foreign states where Jews live in any number, except the USA. I presume that ownership of weapons is so widespread in the USA that arms caches are unnecessary (or that the USA is thought to be completely under “their” control at Federal level). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Ostrovsky
This is as close to “preparation of acts of terror” as one could imagine without an actual proven operational plan: young Jews going to Israel and receiving such training (and/or “other” training?), arms caches prepared etc, yet nothing is done.
The Zionists are now embedded in the UK state and its institutions (police, MI5, MI6 etc), not to mention both Government (the Boris-idiot government being the most Zionist ever) and Opposition (Keir Starmer is just a Zionist monkey-on-a-stick).
Jewish-Zionist supremacism has to be dealt with in the UK once and for all.
Alison Chabloz
[Alison Chabloz]
Alison Chabloz, the persecuted singer-songwriter and satirist, has appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on a charge under the Public Order Act 1986.
When I first heard of the case, I realized that such a charge requires the approval of the Attorney-General. [“A-G”] It seems however, that PC Plod and the CPS do not know the law, because such approval was for some reason not sought before (should have been long before) the matter came to a court hearing.
I hear that, today in Court, retrospective or retroactiveapproval was sought! Really, the nonsense should have been dismissed, but it seems that a 6-week adjournment has been granted in order that the personal approval of the A-G, as required by law, can be obtained.
The present A-G is Suella Braverman, whose appointment has been very heavily criticized in the past couple of years. She is of expatriate Indian origin, and apparently a Buddhist. She is believed to have a Jewish husband.
“After meeting with her…the Board of Deputies of British Jews said in a…statement that she is “not in any way antisemitic”, saying it believed that she did not “intentionally use antisemitic language”, while finding that she “is clearly a good friend of the Jewish community” [Wikipedia] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suella_Braverman
We shall have to wait and see whether this rather “unusual” case against Alison Chabloz receives the required approval of the Attorney-General, or not.
One wonders about the state of the police and CPS these days when they bring a case to court that requires the approval of the Attorney-General, and when the CPS has neither received nor even sought any such approval! What a waste of public money and court time! Is it a “pay peanuts get monkeys” scenario? I don’t know.
This country is so screwed now that only a social national revolution can save it.
I have more information, but will blog anon about the case (if it actually proceeds, which must be doubtful).
[Update, 17 March 2022: The Attorney-General’s consent was not given, so the charges were reduced and changed to a level where consent was not necessary]

The Roman Empire slowly collapsed from not one but many causes. However, one was the combination of decadence, luxury, profligacy and cultural degeneration at the top of that society; another was mass immigration into Rome and Italy generally from all parts of the Empire.
There is no exact parallel with the Europe of today and the Britain of today. Close enough, though.

I knew that this sort of censorship happened. I have long argued that the most pernicious “cancel culture” is the one directed toward pro Palestinian speech. But I was shocked at how blatant it was. They were very clear I was being fired for criticism of US policy toward Israel.
I am lucky, however, that I have an independent platform at my own small leftist magazine. This means that I have more ability to speak, because I can survive without getting another newspaper column. If I was freelance it would be much more difficult.
The editor in chief told me, in writing, that I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone that he was policing my tweets because officially I was “free to speak.” He tried to “confidentially” patrol my public speech. But I am not going to keep something like that silent.
ah yes because when I get canceled, it's cancel culture but they when get canceled it's just whining, for the things I believe are better than what they believe.
It has been very obvious that cancel culture (not the best name but that's another story) would never be something
that is restricted to canceling the "bad guys". It has been very clear that this is an all-encompassing phenomenon that will come back to bite *anyone* expressing a dissenting opinion, no matter how well-reasoned that dissenting opinion is.
“The incident, on May 29, 2018, began as Ms Lancaster was about to leave the Tesco store and Doris’s son was swinging on a metal bar.”
“Doris [black defendant], believing [white victim] Ms Lancaster’s basket had touched her son’s head, shouted “you have met the wrong woman you white b***h”, the court heard.
“She shoved Ms Lancaster inside the store, hurled racial abuse, and told her: “Watch out, watch what happens to you when you come outside”, Southwark Crown Court heard.“
“She then shoved Ms Lancaster on the shoulder, forcing her to stumble forward”.“
“Ms Lancaster, who works in the travel industry, suffered injuries to her head and knees, and was left with post-traumatic stress disorder, the court heard.“
“Doris, who was sentenced via videolink from her home, admitted assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.“
“Darryl Cherrett, her barrister, said Doris has learning difficulties and mental health difficulties.”
“She entered guilty pleas last month on the first day of her trial, with the judge agreeing for her to be sentenced remotely as she was not going to send her straight to prison.”
Sentence? A “suspended” (plus some “mental health” and “rehabilitation” bs). I wonder what a white person would have got, had the roles been reversed?
Several other aspects of that case are troubling: the judge apparently decided to give a non-custodial sentence before even having heard the full history, or any mitigation; the defendant being allowed to sit at home to be “sentenced”; the fact that this low-IQ and lunatic black woman has children at all; finally, a barrister called “Darryl” (chalk that one up to my prejudice). Well, there it is. Britain in 2021…
In the 1980s and later, I myself would sometimes visit that market, off Edgware Road, more to walk through than buy, though I did once buy an excellent-quality 2-flask spirit set in tan leather-covered steel from a woman vending from an old suitcase (and probably without a licence). Secondhand but pristine. £10, I think. Provenance (of both flasks and woman) unknown, beyond both obviously having come from Scotland.
Unfortunately, but inevitably, the “big battalions” of the (ZOG) Government, Opposition, msm, and their Twitterati camp followers, have won the argument for the majority of the public mind, won not on merit but because the fear propaganda has been massive and is now embedded.
It will be a different story once people realize that they are permanently poor, marginalized, unable to travel without huge expense and convenience, corralled and controlled, and muzzled everywhere. Then, they will look desperately for a solution…and a leader.
…and to think that I thought that only Russians eat ice-cream in the street when the temperature is sub-zero! Having said that, I myself once or twice had a Baskin-Robbins cone (probably coffee-flavour…I am very much a creature of habit) in a frozen Manhattan, a long long time ago.
These ancient remedies and preventatives are very useful, but we must not lose completely the advanced knowledge developed over the past 500 years (much of it in the past century). If world society steps back, let it then step forward twice, and our society bounce back even if and when a short-to-medium term disaster occurs.

If the police don't understand the law, how do they expect the public to understand them?
I'm not sure why we're supposed to respect the police if they can't get one of the most basic and fundamental parts of their job right.
I have experienced similar problems with the police a few times over the past few years, particularly in 2017 and 2018. Police who not only do not know the specific law they themselves are purporting to enforce, but are simply unwilling to be instructed by me, a former practising barrister (one wrongfully disbarred some 8 years after I ceased practice: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/) as to what the law is.
What the law is, not what stray police constables think that it is or might be, and certainly not what malicious Jew-Zionist individuals would like it to be.
A commemorative medal celebrating the century of carlsberg in 1911 given to workers of the brewery, what's interesting is the use of a certain symbol on closer inspection, clear evidence the symbol was used openly and with no connection to a later political party,my collection pic.twitter.com/C84mezbhS2
I have never been to Copenhagen, but I once read somewhere that, until quite recent times (possibly 1980s), the gates of the Carlsberg brewery had Swastikas either on the gateposts or worked into the brickwork of those gateposts. Maybe the latter. I doubt that they are still there today, wherever they used to be.
Interesting claims
Leaflet from Germany claims that leading “German” politicians, including Merkel, are Jew or part-Jew:

If I may say so, @johnrentoul, that is the most complete bilge, and shows you have not been paying attention. I am disappointed, and had thought better of you. My blog, going back to March, should link to most of my writing on the matter. Please take a look. https://t.co/3iCNkeZtft
The journalist John Rentoul usually presents himself quite well, a political “all-seeing eye”, but I have noticed that he normally scores below me in the Saturday quiz in theinewspaper, so it may be that he is not a fount of knowledge after all.

Then take the next logical step and stop calling “holocaust” “deniers”, “deniers“. “Historians” would be OK, where appropriate, or “historical revisionists“.

Exactly. The Government is not respected but the “Labour” “Oppositon” is just irrelevant, and is unwilling to oppose “lockdown”, the facemask nonsense etc; indeed, wants more “controls”!
Labour (label) just has nothing to offer. The fact that Keir Starmer is a puppet of the Jewish lobby (meaning Zionist lobby, Israel lobby, NWO/ZOG) is not very relevant in terms of public attitudes, because the public is mostly asleep. Jew-Zionist “control” is rather “caviar to the general”. What does sink Starmer is that (as I blogged before he even took over from Corbyn) he is as dull as ditchwater.
I was listening on the car radio to the pathetic BBC Radio 4 PM show yesterday. Vox pop from Liverpool. A mixture of the half-witted and the lunatic, with a couple of more or less sensible voices as well. One of the best assaults on the pandemic hoax in the mainstream press published in the Mail this morning. Seems to be a crack opening up between the liberal elite with their global Communist #GreatReset and some of the old capitalist elite. Big shift!https://t.co/ZJs3cQO6yA
The Keys of this Blood is well worth reading even today, 30 years after first publication (which is when I first read it).
“Martin wrote this book as a geopolitical and georeligious analysis of the last decades of the 20th century. He identifies this period as the millennium end-game for a new world order, which has three main contenders. It will establish the first ever one-world government. Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev, and international business leaders are in competition to establish this one world government and that this competition will intensify around the turn of the 21st century (around 2000). The book further claims to be an inside account of what the pope is doing to win this geopolitical struggle and how he played an instrumental role in the collapse of the Iron Curtain.“
“Martin identifies the three main players vying for world domination in the world today and thus lays the ground for his historical analysis: materialism with the East and West in their communism or socialism and capitalism or liberalism, which he places on one side together, and the Roman Catholic Church, the only truly geopolitical spiritual organization in existence today. One of the two sides must win, for they cannot coexist.” [Wikipedia]
I wonder, though, whether Martin’s conclusion is still valid, bearing in mind that the present Pope (possibly the last Pope) is “on side” with secular globalism and with transnational ideas such as “The Great Reset” and “The Great Replacement”. Significantly, Pope Francis is a Jesuit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis.
The other great change since the book was published in 1990 has been the disappearance of socialism across the world. In all forms, not only the old SovBloc. In fact, that started to happen a few years before 1990.
We have seen that socialism has not only “failed”, if you like, but has become a shadow of its former self; if you like, a “spectre”, no longer “haunting Europe” like the 19thC/20thC communism of The Communist Manifesto, but lingering here and there, powerlessly, like wisps of mist.
The Roman Catholic presence, still powerful 30 years ago, has also faded. The child abuse scandals worldwide weakened the Church hugely, despite the fact that such crimes also existed and exist in other organizations such as those of the secular state(s).
The general materialism of the age, stronger since 1989, has also sapped all life from the Roman Catholic and other churches.
What is left on the main stage is transnational capitalism and, with it, a “communitarian” consensus/conspiracy on a huge scale. “Black Lives Matter” and the “virus” “panicdemic” are just parts of all that.

Actually, Jonathan Sumption is a distinguished historian with a great knowledge of human society, which he has put to practical use on the bench. Proportionality between action and supposed purpose is one of the things which history explores. https://t.co/EfWVz9wQcG
I mean, it is bizarre that Johnson is talking of a new big Navy and a space programme, while this is going on. Is he in an alternative reality? https://t.co/GITJ0yNplA
It does not surprise me that Boris-idiot is full of “ideas” such as a big navy, a space programme etc. They are the sort of puerile ideas that he has: bridges over not only rivers but even seas, superfast trains, cable cars, fantasy airports on fantasy islands. Schoolboy ideas.
“Boris” has no serious ideas at all; he’s just not up to it. Anything involving real thought about the direction of society is just too complicated for him. He is a simple pizza and booze (and ****) person, not someone fitted to be a Prime Minister.

Possibly a normal decline in the prevalence of the virus @amie0311. Who can say? But the timings mean that the decline after April 8 *cannot* have been caused by a shutdown on March 23. Almost two weeks too soon. https://t.co/zHiWanlflI
Pretty much the same @amie0311 , there is no evidence, not even correlation, that all these shutdowns have any effect. Amazing, I know, but there it is. My advice, stop believing what governments tell you without checking. https://t.co/2ZSeWfnvXH
The police are no longer enforcers of law but enforcers of arbitary Government diktats presented variously as “advice”, “rules” and “laws”.
The failure of press, Parliament, courts and public opinion to challenge arbitrary authority since March has created or revived the Strong State almost everywhere. This was what I was trying to warn against, while so many sat on their backsides. Probably too late now. https://t.co/FzjGYmkr3z

Presidential pardon
Trump still has over 2 months in which he can pardon social-national prisoners being held in Federal prisons. Just do it!
I was looking on Oddschecker Political for odds around current UK politics. I see that the betting is that “Boris” will depart from Downing Street next year (2021). That is the favourite bet, followed by this year! Few are willing to bet that he will still be there in 2022, 2023, or 2024.
I cannot say that I am surprised. Recently, I saw someone deflated, someone who has achieved a lifetime ambition only to find that it has turned to ashes in his hands.
“Boris” never was fitted to be a Prime Minister, or any kind of minister. For all his spouting of rote-learned Latin and Greek tags etc, he has not the intellectual horsepower; neither has he any real ideas. In fact, “Boris” is unsuitable in every possible way.
Look at that: the “British” police will brutalize a British (i.e. white) middleaged woman, but they will kneel down in surrender to a mob of blacks, and will do the bidding of a pack of organized Jews such as the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, which has suborned senior officers of several forces.
True (though I notice that the baby in the poster is non-European; the non-European population has to be reduced worldwide).
If record high temperatures are a sign of global warming, then logically record low temperatures are a sign of ….. Except, of course that there's no logic when the United Nations & global elite have their #NWO agenda to force down our throats.https://t.co/klb1ZWyGdc
Whether one takes at face value the “global warming” idea, or not, it is clear, surely, that something is happening to the global climate? It may or may not be caused by “emissions” of carbon gases; that is unproven. However, there seems to be, putting it this way, more happening in various ways than was the case at least in the last few centuries.

If those students were from the 60s/70s they'd charge out of the building and no one would be able to stop them. That is the problem with today's society. Too conformist.
The sheer conformism of the students is incredible. I saw some on a TV news broadcast. Not one said anything like “let’s all march/demonstrate/go home when we feel like it/ do whatever we want to do”. One even said that he does not like the “lockdown” but it must be necessary or some such BS…
Thinking beyond the immediate present, one wonders what those students are actually getting out of their “degree” courses. Presumably most will be rewarded for their passivity and conformity by being awarded “top” degrees (meaningless because almost all will get them), after which they will struggle to get any jobs, certainly any lucrative ones or any that aspire to being part of a “career”.

More than ten years ago I wrote about a disturbing brush with Britain's new militarised state police. After the worrying events on Saturday in London (I believe there should be an independent inquiry), this seems relevant: https://t.co/V1RR2AMuEe
1/2 My whole argument, from March onwards, has been one of proportion. Are these measures justified by the problem we face? I believe the answer has always been 'No'. But I do tire of being told I am a 'denier', that I don't care about deaths, or that I am a conspiracy theorist. https://t.co/tKU4FBYOcx
2/2 To say that the measures taken are grossly disproportionate is not to say we should have done nothing. But it it is certainly the case that *irrevocable* actions, such as the strangling of the economy and the destruction of jobs, should not have been taken in a panic. https://t.co/tKU4FBYOcx

I mean much more than that @lynnbritney2. The key to politics nowadays is the cultural, moral and educational struggle. The Tories have, mostly without understanding them, adopted the policies of the 1997 government. https://t.co/ewEbLusraw
Unsurprising. After all, what we have in the UK, whatever the party label, is ZOG— Zionist Occupation Government. Now if only Peter Hitchens (or others, for that matter) would make that clear in columns and on radio and TV (before the Zionist Jews gang up to get radio, TV and Press to sack him), that really would be a game-changer; but it is asking a lot to expect any msm journalist, scribbler, or talking head to sacrifice career, income etc for the truth.
Ten deaths! Out of thousands of cases recorded, and a population of maybe 70 million! This is madness. It is clear from the graph above that “the virus” peaked, in terms of deaths from (with) it, in early April, and that there is virtually no danger to most people now.

Egyptian man, 25, dating 80-year-old British grandmother says critics who don't believe he's really in love can 'go to hell' https://t.co/7peC6eSsEU
Oh, no, not another old fool…When I was living for a few months in Egypt (1997-98), I became friendly with a British woman and her Coptic Christian husband (an Egyptian). They told me that this sort of thing is a perennial problem: the older woman from (usually) the UK, aged 40-60 usually, but sometimes older, who “falls in love” with a younger Egyptian (20-40), sometimes a felucca skipper on the Nile, sometimes just someone met at a bar or hotel dance. These days, I suppose one has to add “met on Facebook” or similar to the possibilities…
The woman, divorced or widowed, but sometimes married (but if so, husband not en poste on the holiday) gets seduced and eventually marries the Egyptian. She returns to the UK to sell her house to fund her exciting new life, buys property in Egypt (put into the husband’s name), then, after another trip back to the UK, returns to find her husband living with his real or prior wife (whom the Englishwoman may have met, maybe at the “wedding”, when that other woman posed as the man’s “sister” or “cousin”!).
The British woman soon finds that she has been well and truly “stitched-up”, unable to reclaim her property or money, and quite likely finding that the “marriage” is not even valid under local law.
I might add that a few such marriages are genuine, as with the couple I met, but most are not.
You find this sort of thing reported on occasionally in the UK Press, not only re. Egypt but when British women even marry black Africans from some tribe or other. Absolutely ridiculous.

If my white Northern Irish parents worked in Japan and I was born there ,Am I Japanese ? No I'm not I'm an Ulsterman born in Japan . Same goes for minorities here they ain't English Scottish Welsh Northern Irish .
Plus do we want our green and pleasant land covered in housing, schools, new cities, etc., to allow for the extra millions of migrants, legal and illegal? I for one do not. I enjoy our countryside, eating food grown here and these options will be gone.
What hope was there for UKIP, when its own former leaders are unsure whether, had they been born in Japan (eg in transit), or lived there, they would be Japanese? What a bunch of clowns!
Looks as though Batten needs to look at the Nuremberg Laws (the real ones, not the Jew-Zionist “edited highlights”…
UKIP is of course on a very different page vis a vis my own ideological basis. It never was social-national, and was never heavily attacked by the Jew element in the msm, a very bad sign (individual Jews tweeted etc against UKIP, but the core Zionist element was untroubled by it). UKIP was always given Press coverage, TV coverage; Farage the con-man extraordinaire was forever on Newsnight, Question Time, the TV news etc. Permitted opposition. Controlled opposition.
When UKIP was still a functioning party with a real chance of forming a small House of Commons bloc, I tweeted about it quite frequently. I am talking about between 2010-2015. After 2015, I understood that UKIP’s chance had gone (in fact, it peaked around 2014), cheated as it was by the UK’s pseudo-democratic electoral system: 12.6% of the national vote but only a small fraction of 1% of the MPs, in fact only 1 MP out of 650 (and he was a defected Conservative Party MP anyway).
I did blog a little about UKIP in the runup to the 2017 General Election. I knew that it would sink like a stone. The only reason that I now blog about it (for the first time in about a year) is because I saw those absurd Batten tweets. I was not going to blog today, but I can tack this bit about UKIP onto the start of tomorrow’s blog post.
UKIP has almost fallen into obscurity. Its not-bad 2015 General Election percentage (12.6%) fell to 1.8% in 2017, under the dim Paul Nuttall; that was the first decline in national vote-share that UKIP had ever suffered since its foundation. The 2019 General Election result was even worse: under the ludicrous Patricia Mountain, UKIP’s vote fell to 0.1%, i.e. one vote out of every thousand.
How far do such facts take you? I was once a guest at a private tennis club in North London. I had gone out of politeness. Despite having played occasionally since childhood, I still scarcely know the rules or how to play properly; anyone who knows me knows that I am not very sport-oriented. I did once score a direct hit from some distance with a tennis ball, on the bottom of a Ukrainian lady who had stooped to pick up another ball, but that hardly counts!
That London tennis club was rather formal. You had to wear the right clothing etc; it also had a pleasant bar, from which one could watch people playing. I saw a doubles match and, to my untutored eye, they looked not much different from the professionals who play at Wimbledon. Of course they were different, and that is the point. There was a far greater gulf between my inept level of play and the doubles-players than there was between them and the Wimbledon champions.
Champions, or the top people in every category of activity, are ipso facto better than almost all others. However, they may not be much better than a mass, perhaps a vast mass, just below that championship level. It is that tiny amount of edge that makes the difference.
Applying that to races and, yes, in big-picture “scientific” terms the DNA of the Northern European is very very close to other peoples, and even to the most backward peoples. It is that tiny difference that, all the same, matters.
“In your nothing I hope to find my everything“; “In deinem Nichts hoff ‘ ich, das All zu finden“[Goethe, Faust; Faust answering Mephistopheles, who has said that Faust’s belief is nothing].
Well, leaving such observations and reverting to the mundane world of UK politics as it is, and UKIP, I notice that even Wikipedia has found little to say of some of the post-Farage “leaders” of UKIP. In one case, that of someone called Wauchope, apparently (never heard of him), even the year of his birth is uncertain!
UKIP is said still to have 25,000 members, though I doubt that.
I see that one Freddy Vachha is now the “leader” of this embarrassing joke of a party. An Indian accountant. The tide has gone out, leaving some odd bits and pieces on the sand.

@Charlotte3003G @simondolan@ClarkeMicah Nine out of 10 people in England live in areas that haven't seen a Covid case in a MONTH and fresh lockdown based on 'dodgy data' is not needed, professor sayshttps://t.co/8yMQhTtISF
Proud crank as I am, @TomRidleyUK, I rather thought that it was amateur virologists who had devised the UK's mad national self-harm policy of strangling the economy, shutting the schools and harassing the population with fearmongering propaganda. We cranks were against that . https://t.co/6m2a8s76H3
Regular readers of this blog will recall the encounters I had with a couple of similar brainwashed would-be lecturing idiots a while ago.
If staff in businesses, or anyone else, act like cartoon labour camp overseers or prison guards, then they must expect to be laughed at.
Resist the facemask nonsense! Only wear a facemask if you really have no choice, and if you do wear a mask, make sure that you do so in a manner that makes it clear that you mock the nonsense and the government of clowns. Laugh at those who take it all seriously. Laugh at the rabbits!
The Army, Navy, Marines are all recruiting now on TV. They are finding it hard going to recruit many. I wonder why? Could it be that potential recruits realize that the armed services have become a joke? Also, that they abandon their people once their useful service has ended?
Take a look at Twitter. The Jewish-Zionist cabal on Twitter constantly tweets in favour of the migrant-invaders, “generously” wanting more to invade us. Yes, that Jewish mob on Twitter are all wonderfully generous with other people’s money, State funds etc, wanting the UK to take in anyone who manages to get here, no matter how hostile or useless. The same is true of “refugees welcome” dimwits and hypocrites such as Gary Lineker, Yvette Cooper, Lily Allen and all the other usual suspects.
Batten is too late. Regular readers of my blog will know that I suggested at least a year ago that Harry and the Royal Mulatta should (and would) relocate from the UK to Southern California.
I went on to suggest that they become a “reality TV” sitcom mix, perhaps living a pseudo-“royal” life in a little house; just Harry, the Mulatta, their baby, the dog (if not abandoned) and a butler, a Benson type. “Royal Married with Children“, with the Mulatta running her henpecked “cuck” husband ragged with impossible demands, as she tries to be a contender for political positions.
Sometimes I think that I am a male Cassandra, always predicting accurately, but rarely listened to…
Well, “historian” (TV presenter) Neil Oliver may be belatedly speaking up for some free speech now, but I seem to recall that he tweeted against me years ago when I still had a Twitter account. I have never seen anything from him supporting me, eg when I was disbarred for posting 5 tweets (out of 150,000+) on socio-political matters. I likewise did not see him support Jez Turner (imprisoned for making a speech) or Alison Chabloz (persecuted, prosecuted and convicted for singing satirical songs).
I also recall how biased Oliver was when some matters involving WW2 came up on his TV show, Coast.
Scotland does seem to be even worse on free speech than England. The combined influence of Jew-Zionism, freemasonry, Common Purpose (Police Scotland is riddled with both of the last two) and post-socialist SNP petty authoritarianism.
Ironic. What does Batten think that UKIP were? Quite. Controlled opposition. Just like Brexit Party, Tommy Robinson, Breitbart, “Prison Planet” Watson, Katie Hopkins etc.
Only machineguns can sort out this upsurge of madness in the USA. What it says to me is not “there is disorder now” but “if the US system ever weakens greatly, which is quite possible, there will be civil war“. Those unpleasant scenes may well be just the start.
I noticed in Waitrose that Ben & Jerry’s icecream is not selling, and has been reduced in price as a consequence. Don’t bother to sabotage it. Just boycott it.
Why does @ChtyCommission allow Zionist groups to ‘police’ UK citizens using tactics synonymous with The Cheka police. How long before ‘volunteers’ claim leather coats on expenses? Make no mistake #Chekism is alive and well just watch Joe Glasman’s video. https://t.co/zZvuGe5HWg
Just how did batshit 🤪Gavin Williamson get to be where he is? His story is even more puzzling than we could have ever imagined. Deadhead MPs, An Occasional Series: The Gavin Williamson Story https://t.co/kwWOfvwx83 via @ianrmillard
Hard to know what to think. The Greenland ice cover is vast and deep, certainly, and Wikipedia says that “If the Greenland ice sheet were to melt away completely, the world’s sea level would rise by more than 7 m (23 ft).“
If that were to happen, a scenario that has interested me since the late 1970s (along with the possible melting of polar ice proper, both from Arctic and Antarctic), then most of the major cities of the world would be drowned, situated as most are on or near sea-level.
A rise of 23ft would flood much of London, New York, Tokyo, St. Petersburg, to name only a few of the most obvious.
On the other hand, we know that Greenland has been at times warmer than it now is. The Vikings farmed there; there are remains of farmsteads from quite ancient times, certainly from the first millennium AD: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland#History.
Not all of Greenland is ice and snow, however. In that vast land, over nine times the size of the UK, there is farming, in the southern part, by the coast.
I doubt that humanity can do much to change the climate in a significant way, but the issue is naturally one of utmost seriousness.
Less seriously, I just read that “Greenlandic coffee is a “flaming” dessert coffee (set alight before serving) made with coffee, whiskey, Kahlúa, Grand Marnier, and whipped cream. It is stronger than the familiar Irish dessert coffee.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland#Cuisine. After a few of those, the sting of living in Greenland must at least be made less painful!
If you went, as orchestral conductor, or as ordinary tourist, to another country, and then tried to trash the traditional festivals of that country, you would be jeered at and quite possibly attacked or deported. In Britain, all sorts of oddities arrive, aided by traitors in the BBC etc, and want to disrespect us. I know that Rule Britannia is now simply an expression of an Empire that no longer exists, but it does stand for part of the national psyche. The part not yet contaminated. It must not be blotted out by the “woke”, the non-whites, the cosmopolitan Jews etc. As performed at the Proms, it is both emotional and fun. It must remain.
