Does anything in this country work properly any more?

Who, really, would vote for a Nigerian woman who, though born in London, was brought up entirely in Nigeria and the USA, and only came to this country aged 16? That, alone…

Apart from underwhelming pay and conditions, at least for those enlisting in the ranks, who would want to join armed forces of a country that pretends to be squaring up to Russia and China (both of which have armed forces 20 or 30 times the size of the UK’s) yet cannot even defend its own shores against migrant-invaders?

What are recruits supposed to be defending? A multikulti, mixed-race population? The wealthy and selfish 1%, most of whom are not even British in any real way? The Jewish lobby? The completely rotten mainstream media, legal professions, and treacherous “political class”? What, then? The self-interested and pathetic “Royal Family”, now consisting of Charles, Camilla, the tame thick princeling William (now already 42 y o), the ridiculous entitled nobody, Harry, and of course Meghan Mulatta?

Forget it.

If Reform succeeds, but is then found wanting, the British people will finally turn to the only possible alternative except full Communism— social nationalism.

I imagine that the lesson learned by the Palestinians of Gaza (etc) is that, to match the overwhelming military power of the Israelis, the only way is to take and keep Jewish hostages. Not, of course, the lesson the Israelis wanted to teach…

Say what you want about those people, they are incredibly resilient.

Major political mistakes, banal corruption and simply poor analysis of the situation – ignorance of history and misunderstanding of the nature of ‘Ukrainism’ – played their role ,” Medvedev said.

– “Biden did the worst at one point, essentially starting a war between the collective West and Russia, which almost turned into a nuclear conflict with NATO.”

” Recently, he clearly did not fully understand what was happening. Yes, we must admit, such a war is economically beneficial for the United States. But the political costs and the real danger of a fatal conflict are much greater. But the old man was not ready for this. This is a case when the head of the world’s largest power completely failed to cope with the situation . As a result, the Democrats unfortunately lost the elections. If Biden’s problem is his inadequacy, then the fault of his administration is that it deliberately left a very difficult crisis legacy on the Russian track for its successors. The harmful side effects of Biden’s decisions will continue to manifest themselves for a very long time , “Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

– “That is why it will take decades for Russian-American relations to fully normalize. Although, in my opinion, in the current reality this is impossible in principle. And frankly, it is not clear whether it is necessary at all,” Medvedev concluded.”

Even leaving aside her pro-Jewish lobby, pro-Israel, quasi-“Conservative” politics, Liz Kendall is as thick as two short planks. Who on Earth would make her a Cabinet minister? Ah, yes…”Tel Aviv Keith” Starmer.

…and who on Earth would make that the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom? At least her present role cannot be lain at the door of Starmer; the “Conservatives” did that to themselves…

Like so many semi-educated blacks, Kemi Badenoch thinks that she is seriously intelligent. (cf. David Lammy, Shaun Bailey etc).

Look at what she did before becoming an MP. Another “diversity hire”.

Look also at the opinion polls! You can fool the British people much of the time (as the last 14+ years has proven), but there comes a point when even the British awaken from their sport and “celebrity” obsessions, and say “no, no, no”.

Diary Blog, 4 May 2024, including thoughts about the continuing migration-invasion of the UK

Morning music

[Edward Robert Hughes, Midsummer Eve]

Saturday quiz

This week 7/10, well beating political journalist John Rentoul, who scored a modest 3/10. I did not know the answers to questions 3, 5, and 10.

From the newspapers

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13383283/migrants-illegal-Channel-small-boats-rwanda.html

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13380415/Zimbabwean-asylum-seeker-jailed-hammer-60-convictions-remain-UK.html

A Zimbabwean asylum seeker who was jailed for possession of a hammer and racked up more than 60 convictions for drugs, robbery and assault has been granted leave to stay in the UK.

Zimbabwean Ashley Simbarashe Maparura has amassed a ‘dreadful catalogue’ of 68 convictions across several counties, a court heard.

The 34-year-old thug arrived in the UK around 2017 and quickly became involved in serious crimes including drugs, robbery and assault.

But in spite of his appalling criminal record, he was granted leave to remain in the country two months ago.

[Daily Mail]

The “Readers’ Comments” appended to that Daily Mail report show the level of public anger around such issues: look at this one—

https://www.openweb.com/share/2fywWtFMY0eLsDG0CsvMgTs0Qif

(“Moons12345 Northwest, United Kingdom 4 hours ago. Super , which of the barge protesters the other day will take him home, feed and house him for the next couple of years ? Please step forward you all seem very keen to support this type of person ? Any takers – no didn’t think so !“)

I doubt that such as Zoe Gardner (“@ZoeJardiniere” on Twitter/X) will be volunteering, despite having made a career out of supporting the migration-invasion of the UK. https://www.linkedin.com/in/zoe-gardner-8545b479/.

People of that sort sit, usually in leafy affluent areas, promoting the migration-invasion of Europe, including the UK, while “outsourcing” the consequent misery of the collapsing “multicultural” dystopia to others— the poorer people of this country.

At present, somewhere between three-quarters of a million and over a million immigrants are arriving in the UK each year. The vast majority, almost all, remain, though a couple of hundred of thousand people (but mostly real British people) are leaving each year, mostly to go to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Spain. The foreign influx in terms of population change is about 1M-1.5M. Every single year.

Few of those (maybe 5%, if that) are arriving in “small boats” (actually, ferried from just off the coast of France by the RNLI, Coastguard, Border Force, and Royal Navy, all of which organizational names are now a self-parody).

The flood of “dependent relatives”, “spouses”, “fiances/fiancees”, “students”, “asylum-seekers” and “highly skilled workers” (Indians who can work a computer) continues apace. About 3,000, every single day.

One of the worst aspects of both central and local government in the UK is the apparent inability of both politicians and officials to think things through. If we do this, what happens to that and that and that down the line?

Forget the Rwanda Plan, which is an object lesson in present-day UK governmental futility. Only applies to a few percent of immigrants anyway, and will only ever be able to deport a few hundred a week at best (and at huge cost per deportee and in toto), while thousands each week are arriving on the cross-Channel route alone.

Incidentally, about 80% of “asylum-seekers” are allowed to remain anyway, once “processed”.

The pathetic Rwanda “plan” is in any case going to be scrapped by the expected Labour Party “elected” dictatorship, which will be the Government of the UK by early next year at latest.

So we are living in a country where the population is changing fast, and not for the better.

By 2034, another 10M or more, maybe another 15M+ will have arrived. Most will be effectively unskilled, most will be more or less parasitic, quite a substantial minority will be hostile or criminal, many will not even speak, read, or write basic English, and the UK has nowhere even to warehouse these masses of unwanted invaders.

Meanwhile, the British people are becoming poorer, suffering ever-lower living standards, are unable, most of them, to buy or even rent suitable accommodation, and are sharing their ever-poorer, ever-less pleasant cities and towns with a multiracial, multicultural, polyglot mixture of peoples, mostly from the most backward countries of the world.

Political change, anyone?

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/world-brink-hybrid-world-war-32732436

World thinktank Globsec reckons a “sudden drop” in aid packages to Ukraine from the West could be the trigger for a Russian victory. The organisation says it would leave an “actual nuclear threat” in Russia’s hands after its withdrawal from nuclear deterrence treaties. Those nuclear threats may continue to grow as the aftershock of Ukraine’s war loss spreads rapidly through Europe.

[Daily Mirror]

The propaganda against Russia continues, with the now-usual claims that Russia wants to invade Western Europe etc. Oh, and the also-now-usual fake “parallels” with the 1930s and Germany’s expansionist policy then.

I wonder what cabals are behind this incessant push for war?

NWO. ZOG.

That Mirror report, though, does admit that we are on the brink of Russian victory in Ukraine. As this blog has said for over 2 years now, Russia cannot lose this war, and will not lose it.

One of a very large number of “Conservative” MPs realizing now, as “groundrush” suddenly comes upon them, that their days of freeloading uselessness are about to come to an end, and that their Commons seats are not “a grift for life”.

Can it be possible that Sadiq Khan will not be re-elected, after the sainted opinion polls had him, only last week, on twice the expected vote of Susan Hall? Interesting. The result is expected some time today.

I have not taken much interest in the contest. Susan Hall did not seem a very impressive candidate to me, but then look at Shaun Bailey, the West Indian Con Party “activist” and fake charity “grifter”, who was almost a joke candidate last time, yet very nearly won: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_London_mayoral_election.

Indeed, look at Sadiq Khan himself. Plainly not up to the job.

I certainly do not endorse all of the political positions of Laurence Fox, but how can the accuracy of his view above be denied?

We often see such slogans or expostulations as “England has fallen!” or “London has fallen!“, and may sometimes think that to say so is going “too far” but, really, now, I see it as being pretty close to the truth.

You read it here first” (quite possibly). I was saying all that years ago.

It was not wholly negligent, though, more —at some level— a deliberate try-out of techniques designed to make the population more compliant, less questioning, less free…

Both USA and EU are under one overall control. NWO/ZOG.

However, beyond the obvious hypocrisy, breaking of stupid “rules” etc, there is something more important, the fact that the whole structure of instant “laws”, “rules” etc was part of a massive scam on the public, both in the UK and across much of the world. “Covid” was never the modern Black Death it was claimed (and weaponized) to be. Scamdemic. Panicdemic.

It is clear when you look at those stupid and drunken young faces in the video that they have no fear of the so-called “deadly virus”. No fear at all. Why? Because they knew —100%— that there was nothing to fear.

The forces and puppets of Evil now know that a majority of the public can be easily controlled via a combination of fear, fear propaganda, social pressure, and repressive laws and “rules” brought in at will by whoever is notionally in power (in fact, political puppets and pygmies such as “Boris” Johnson, little Matt Hancock etc).

“Covid” (as an existential threat to large populations) was the biggest hoax since the “gas chambers” part of the whole WW2 “holocaust” narrative (farrago) was invented in the decades after WW2.

I don’t care about Shaun Bailey having been at a secret party during the stupid “lockdown” of the UK. I do care that a West Indian fake and freeloader is being elevated to the House of Lords when he is not only a freeloader but also (in effect) embezzler of monies from the charity he himself set up. The police investigated him, but in the end the CPS decided not to prosecute him. He may, they thought, only have been profligate and/or negligent, rather than an outright thief. Just the sort of person to be in the House of Lords, making law for the British public…oh, no, wait…

Oh, and a failed electoral candidate, rejected by the voters both as would-be MP and would-be Mayor of London.

While it is amusing to see that rubbish going up in flames, this is not serious political action. It is akin to the occasions when, for example, Israeli flags are burned, stepped upon etc by various factions or individuals, or when idiots desecrate Jewish graves. What on Earth is the point?

I do not have a lot of time for “gesture politics”.

Either she is related in some way to Johnson, or he was fucking her. No other obvious reason for someone with only a few years experience of anything (and that mostly as a “gopher” or “girl Friday” anyway) to be elevated to the Lords.

Having said that, the whole Resignation Honours List is one big finger put up by Johnson to both public and Parliament, so who knows?

The first government to abandon the “Triple Lock” will be abandoned, by the voters, those over 60 anyway, and they are now the ones that matter most.

As for William Hague, I remain disappointed that no-one ever gave him a good kicking.

That, on the other hand, might be a vote-winner in crucial, formerly Labour, constituencies, if the voters believe that it will be implemented.

She claims, this seething mess of chaotic, drug/drink-fuelled scamming and lying, to have a “spreadsheet” that she consults! Apart from that very implausible lie as to the “sue Lee Anderson” crowdfunder monies, the money that more than 400 utter mugs are still sending to her monthly via Patreon goes to her, not to “literally starving people“, or any foodbanks. Several thousand pounds per month. An outright thief and obvious psychopathic type.

She ought to join with the other online “grifters” such as “Supertanskiii”, and create an umbrella organization for grifters and frauds.

See also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder).

Why have Essex Police not properly investigated this blatant fraudster?

Of course “Jack Monroe” has not “given” the poor scammed lady’s money to anyone, unless to the local drug dealer or off-licence, or maybe some online furniture store or Tiffany jewellery outlet.

As remarked before, under other circumstances “Jack Monroe” might have become a career criminal of a more usual kind, or (in my opinion) even something like a serial killer, looking at her fairly obvious psychopathic tendencies.

As it is, she has cheated the elderly, poor and disabled, and is now defended only by the very very silly and unthinking, the unfocussedly-naive, Guardian-reading biens-pensants, crazed elderly lesbians and “trans”-persons, and “whiteknighting” men of 60+, often with mental or alcohol “issues”. Even the minor “celebrities”, such as “consumer rights” waste of space, Alice Beer, are now giving her the cold shoulder.

Look, though, at the standard of English thought acceptable from Daily Mail scribblers: “One motorist, who the campaigners explained their cause too, seemed fairly unimpressed“!

The scribbler, one Dan Sales, might like to amend that to: “one motorist, to whom the campaigners explained their cause...”; “to“, not “too“, and “to whom“…

Journalistic standards, as with other standards, have fallen though the floor in this country.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12209919/Full-audio-Student-rejected-classmates-claim-shes-CAT-scolded-teacher.html

Moment furious teacher berates pupil for questioning classmate’s claim that she ‘identifies as a CAT’ and for saying there are ‘two genders’.

The 13-year-old pupil said she was made to stay after the class at Rye College in East Sussex on ‘life education’ by the teacher, who can be heard in a secret recording calling her view that gender is binary ‘really despicable’ and ‘very sad’.

In the three-and-half-minute recording, the angry teacher is heard speaking to two girls and says they would report the children to a senior colleague, and they needed a ‘proper educational conversation about equality, diversity and inclusion’.

The recording begins with the teacher asking one of the pupils: ‘How dare you? You just really upset someone, saying things like [you] should be in an asylum.’

One of the girls responds: ‘I didn’t say that, I just said if they want to identify as a cow or something, then they are genuinely unwell, and they’re crazy.

‘You were questioning their identity,’ the teacher replies. ‘Where did you get this idea from that there’s only two genders?’

‘I just said my opinion,’ the pupil replies. ‘If I respect their opinion, can’t they respect mine?’

[Daily Mail]

We shall soon be in a world in which a man may be howled down for saying that two and two make four, in which people will persecute the heresy of calling a triangle a three-sided figure, and hang a man for maddening a mob with the news that grass is green.

[G.K. Chesterton]

We are pretty much there already…

That schoolteacher should not be a schoolteacher.

Good to see those young girls standing up for both free speech and reality.

Incidentally, once again the Daily Mail falls down linguistically, using “they” when what is meant is “she“. In this case, though, it may be deliberate sabotage from a scribbler or sub-editor.

The millionaire ‘Asylum King’: Son of Jewish immigrants rakes in £100k a DAY through lucrative deals housing asylum seeks in his Britannia Hotels chain (despite it being ranked the worst in UK)

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12209821/Meet-millionaire-Asylum-King-owns-Britannia-hotels.html

A hotel tycoon dubbed the ‘Asylum King’ lives in a £3.4million Cheshire mansion and is raking in nearly £100,000 of profit every day despite his chain being ranked the worst in the UK for an entire decade.

Alex Langsam has built up an estimated £248m fortune through Britannia Hotels, which enjoys lucrative taxpayer-funded contracts to house asylum seekers across its 60 sites – at least 17 of which are said to have been block-booked.

Mr Langsam – the son of Jewish parents who fled Hitler – studied economics at Aberystwyth University because, he once joked, it was the only place that would let him do so after he failed his maths O-level.

[Daily Mail]

Need one say anything? “Them”, again…

In fact, the 5-star Britannia Hotel in Grosvenor Place, London, which was opposite the U.S. Embassy in days of yore, had to change its name (I think) about 30 years ago, so as not to be connected with the Britannia Hotels group (that Grosvenor Square hotel has had a few name changes, and is now called the Biltmore Mayfair, charging £500+ per night).

Incredible that some “Jack Monroe” supporters are still fixated on the idea that “Jack Monroe” is “doing good” in some unspecified way. Absolutely stupid, absolutely unevidenced.

“Jack Monroe” will certainly never need a credit line so long as (as of today) 413 utter mugs are each still willing to send her, every month, between £3.50 and £44 via Patreon. That might and probably would spark a Third World War.

More likely, China would sit back and wait until NATO states and Russia were both badly damaged or even (as major powers) wiped out. China would then be the major, and perhaps only really big power in the world.

Even without that happening, one might wonder what would happen after a nuclear war between the USA/NATO and Russia. Leaving aside the contamination of air, water, and earth, what of the strategic situation? Large areas of the world would either be uninvolved or substantially uninvolved: Australasia, South and Central America, Africa, much of the Pacific region. India. Maybe China, again.

That then leads us to consider what the world would look like after the (radioactive) dust settles. No post-1945 American hegemony. No pre-1914 European hegemony. No Russian hegemony. Everyone looks to China, of course, but even that is by no means certain. Without American and European markets for its manufactured goods, the Chinese economy would stumble at best, fall to pieces at worst.

Yes, China would, at first, still have its vast armies and other forces, and nuclear weapons of its own, but for how long would its military strength endure, once its economy is destroyed?

American travelogue

Darkest America.

While the Biden administration sends billions to the Kiev regime, parts of the USA itself are like Africa, in every way. In fact, I once, in the 1980s, knew a young Nigerian woman who had travelled around Mississippi and who was shocked to see that there were blacks in Mississippi living worse than those in Nigeria! As she put it, “s****** in holes in the ground“!

Having said that, a glance at Google Earth street view shows other parts of the same city (Jackson, Mississippi) as new, even gleaming, and pleasant. That’s the American way…

Well, this week brings another victory over political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 5/10, whereas I managed 8/10. I did not know the answer to question 2, and I could not think of the answer to question 3 even though I “really” knew it.

From the newspapers

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12178353/Migrant-killer-21-suing-Home-Office-ruining-social-life.html

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12179613/Nadine-Dorries-resigns-hours-Boris-Johnson-force-election.html

If Nadine Dorries at least is not getting a peerage, that’s one slight mercy.

Still, other rubbish did get through. See https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jun/09/dame-priti-and-sir-party-marty-the-aides-and-allies-in-boris-johnsons-honours-list.

The Jew Dan Rosenfield [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Rosenfield] is to be elevated to the Lords, as is West Indian charity embezzler and failed London Mayoralty (etc) candidate, Shaun Bailey [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Bailey_(London_politician)#Career_before_politics].

Some woman called Charlotte Owen, apparently once “assistant” to Boris Johnson, is to be likewise elevated, at the early age of 29. Does that reward merit, or supine mediocrity (or worse)? I wonder.

I notice that Ben Houchen, once seen as a potential political star, has likewise been elevated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Houchen. A consolation prize, I suppose, for losing out on a Parliamentary seat now that the fortunes of the Conservative Party are diving in the opinion polls. The same would have been true of Alok Sharma and, possibly, Nadine Dorries, had their peerages not been blocked. Sharma and Houchen would certainly not have been re-elected or elected, respectively.

One cannot expect loyalty or even basic decency from most people. When I was disbarred (wrongfully and actually unlawfully) in 2016, some 8 years after I had ceased Bar practice, and by reason of a malicious and contrived complaint by a pack of Jews, not one member of the Bar spoke up either to support me or to defend the principles of free speech and freedom of expression. The days of the free and fearless independent Bar of England have long gone. All that remains is a mass of craven careerists, fearful that “the authorities” (suborned by the Jew/Israel lobby) will look unfavourably upon them, and/or that Jewish solicitors will blackball them in terms of giving them work.

Good to see that the appeal fund for Sven Longshanks (James Allchurch) continues to grow, albeit slowly.

This war is testing the artefacts of 21stC warfare, and reshaping what warfare is. The use of drones is only one example.

The 1953 Coronation still had something somehow sacred about it, even if perhaps not 100% genuine. Compare that to the Coronation of the new Charles III. He looked uncertain, like someone —to use the current phrase— “cosplaying” the role; an actor in a poor production, an actor slightly miscast.

Every. Single. Time.

Could it be true? Justin Trudeau’s mother was notoriously “free and easy” in younger days (she’s still alive, now 73: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Trudeau). I thought her older than that.

Among those who “enjoyed her favours” in the 1970s were at least two, possibly three, members of the Rolling Stones group, and Ted Kennedy, among many others. So why not Castro? However, Justin Trudeau was born in 1971, before the marriage really hit the rocks. Also, Pierre Trudeau (and so his wife) seem not to have met Castro by 1971.

Though not universally popular, Justin Trudeau’s father, Pierre Trudeau, seemed to take himself less seriously: I knew someone who was working at an international conference in the 1980s, I forget where exactly, and who was just about to be driven back to her hotel, when “a funny little man” jumped into the car next to the driver and asked, politely, for a lift. Pierre Trudeau. I think that he may still have been Prime Minister of Canada at that time (though maybe not, since he would have had his own allocated car if so).

One good thing about Pierre Trudeau: he was rather hostile to Israel.

Can you imagine what sort of “justice” such creatures might dispense, especially to social-national people? As it is, many lay magistrates now sitting are total deadheads. Neither can even Circuit Judges in Crown Courts be relied upon always, as when the noisy, demanding and/or whining Jewish element are wanting a stiff sentence for a social-national defendant. I think that “some recent cases” have made that evident.

Par for the course. The American cities run by blacks have all had massive frauds perpetrated upon their finances (and taxpayers). Also, huge mismanagement. Same or similar in the UK, mutatis mutandis.

Look at, for example, the “social enterprise” operated for a few years by Conservative Party mayoral candidate and Member of the London Assembly, Shaun Bailey:

In May 2006, Bailey co-founded MyGeneration, a charity addressing the social problems that affect struggling young people and their families. It was established shortly before Bailey was selected by the Conservative Party to stand in the recreated Hammersmith constituency.[17] In 2010, The Times reported that Bailey was at the centre of allegations that his North Kensington-based charity showed £16,000 worth of spending “without any supporting records”.[18] Between 2008 and 2009, almost half of the charity’s expenditure was on publicity and administration, not “direct charitable expenditure”. Of the £116,000 “charitable expenditure”, more than half was spent on travel and subsistence. The charity was closed in 2012 due to financial problems.” [Wikipedia].

He was lucky to get away with that, in my opinion. Apparently the police did investigate him, and interviewed him under caution, but did not charge him. Of course, “travel and subsistence” would probably not count as fraud (if accounted for), but whether it was necessary expenditure is another matter. Grey area.

Bailey stood for the position of Mayor, and very nearly won (with 45% of the vote), despite being (in my opinion) almost a joke candidate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Bailey_(London_politician).

Russia still has the edge in terms of quality of weapons and personnel, and would probably have air superiority as well.

This may be a now-or-never moment for Russia, either to strike quickly and overwhelmingly to secure at least the part of Ukraine east of the Dnieper river, and also the Kiev area, or to draw back and watch as the NWO/Zionist regime in Kiev has its armed forces and their weapons built up by NATO until Ukraine eventually joins NATO, at which point Russia will be completely outmanoeuvred strategically.

Kiev is only 500 miles from Moscow. The Ukrainian border is only 300 miles from Moscow, less than the distance from London to Edinburgh.

The end of the Second World War resulted in the East/West standoff called the Cold War. The Centre of Europe was squeezed out, and into one or other camp. The Fall of Socialism (and the Soviet Union) from 1989 opened up the situation. Now after 33 years, we see the start of what might turn out to be a new semi-permanent geopolitical reality akin to the Cold War but also with differences.

If Russia can secure its southern flank by removing the present Kiev regime, the rest of Europe can then develop better and closer relations with Russia. Russia will supply (as I have blogged for years) cheap gas; trade can improve again without the unnecessary sanctions insisted upon by the USA (meaning NWO). The USA can be shepherded back into its own natural sphere of influence (the Americas and Caribbean).

There is, also, no reason why the more “national” core of Ukraine, meaning the areas west of the Dnieper, and based on Lvov, could not continue to exist as a rump Ukraine, with a Ukrainian government, either autonomous or actually independent, so long as it remained peaceful and out of NATO.

Boris Johnson

Meanwhile, the idiot currently posing as Prime Minister of the UK is apparently going to Kiev tomorrow, no doubt in a pathetic attempt to revive Mrs. Thatcher’s “Falklands Factor”, which enabled her to stay as Prime Minister and win the 1983 General Election: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aftermath_of_the_Falklands_War#United_Kingdom.

A few differences are that Britain is not (thank God) either nominally or actually at war with Russia, nor likely to be; Britain could never “win” a war with Russia; the UK (and so “Boris”) is little more than a spectator in the Russia-Ukraine situation.

The truly ridiculous attempts of “Boris” —reprising his am-dram “Churchill” impression— to insert himself into the situation, merely underline his weakness and superfluity.

Us and Them

A fairly hard-hitting video by Paul Joseph Watson, “@PrisonPlanet”. I do not rate Watson very highly from the strict political point of view, but his interesting vlogs have awoken many, at least from unquestioning acceptance of the propaganda pumped out by the System.

Another ghastly crime against a small child

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10310411/TWO-tragic-children-murdered-failed-system.html

This time, the crime involved crazed lesbians, one of which (the actual murderess) was from some (unspecified but looking at the photo probably Irish tinker-“traveller”) “gypsy” origin, according to the newspaper report.

Dismissed as ‘racist homophobes’, the great grandparents who tried to save Star Hobson: Toddler’s injuries were ignored FIVE TIMES by social services after gipsy lesbian stepmother ‘convinced them relatives who raised alarm were malicious’ [Daily Mail].

Is there more of this sort of terrible abuse now, as compared to, say, 1960, or 1930? I do not know. The breakdown of society, and social norms, may be part of the problem, but there is a dearth of reliable information.

The cost of the panicdemic/scamdemic “measures” and relief

Still think that the “Boris”/Sunak “furlough” giveaway, and other nonsense such as “Test and Trace”, has been cost-free to individual members of the public? North Shropshire by-election

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_North_Shropshire_by-election.

The by-election in North Shropshire is taking place tomorrow. I have not bothered to blog about it because the seat has until now been considered safe for the Conservative Party. I have just read an appreciation by a Professor Jennings: https://news.sky.com/story/north-shropshire-by-election-could-a-surprise-be-on-the-cards-12495468.

There are 14 candidates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_North_Shropshire_by-election#Candidates.

The Conservative candidate is one Dr. Neil Shastri-Hurst, who seems to be of mixed origins, and who is both a barrister and a medical doctor (former Army doctor): see https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tory-candidate-branded-callous-over-25530760. The election is plainly his to lose, given the history of the seat.

Conservative Party candidates have won every election for the seat since 1832 (the seat was not in existence between 1885 and 1983), and the Conservative Party vote peaked in 2019 at 62.7%.

Labour, though traditionally usually coming in in second place, came close to ousting the Conservative candidate in 1997; only about 4 points separated the top two that year.

In 2019, the Labour candidate received a vote-share of 22.1%, but the same candidate had scored 31.1% in 2017.

The Conservative Party vote-share has risen uninterruptedly since 1997, whereas the Labour vote has generally declined; the 2017 Labour vote-share was higher than in most years.

It follows that, should the “unthinkable” occur and Shastri-Hurst not be elected, the shock to the Conservative Party (and “Boris”) would be seismic.

Among the 14 candidates are Reclaim Party (the Laurence Fox vehicle), Reform UK (the latest Nigel Farage pop-up), the rump of UKIP, and Heritage, as well as Green Party and the LibDems, whose best result in effect (as Liberal Party) was a second-place 31.6% in 1983.

In the past, it was likely that serious tactical voters would go Labour rather than LibDem, Labour having the higher likelihood of success in the seat, but that is an open question this time. The bookmakers put the Conservatives and LibDems neck-and-neck, and it seems that confidence is not high in the “Boris” camp. Having said that, bookmakers are often a poor source for election predictions, their odds reflecting (mainly) bets placed, many of which are placed far from the constituency.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/dec/13/bookies-make-lib-dems-favourite-in-north-shropshire-poll-owen-paterson-byelection.

Naturally, newspaper reports such as that, showing that the LibDems have a good chance, tend to encourage tactical voting.

As to how much the Conservative vote will be impacted by the smaller quasi-conservative parties such as Reform UK, Reclaim, UKIP and Heritage, hard to say but probably no more than 20% altogether. Still, that notional 20% could be crucial.

Turnout is forecast to be low, not least because many usually Conservative voters seem to despise “Boris” and his misgovernment, and so, unwilling to vote Labour or even LibDem, may simply abstain.

My assessment? I think that the LibDems must have a chance, anyway.

The usual Conservative vote may not turn out (though many will have voted by post already), the overall turnout may be low (favouring other parties), the majority of voters in such a seat will never vote for post-2010 Labour, and the four smaller baby-con parties will tap votes which would otherwise go Con.

The LibDems are not quite as zealous about Covid “restrictions” and “measures” (such as the facemask nonsense) as are the present Government and its Labour “enablers”. That may help the LibDems.

The Conservative candidate is non-white (apparently half-English) in a 95% white English constituency, though that may be of only peripheral importance, looking at non-white “Conservative” MPs elsewhere. I had never heard of him until today but, reading about him, he seems to be very much a “head over heart” person; the voters may not warm to him.

There again, many people just want to give both the “Boris” circus and the Labour “enablers” (who have just saved the Government’s bacon yet again) a good kick. That has to favour the LibDems. Still, fairly open even now.

It will be interesting to see how misnamed “Labour” does, too. About 31% in 2017, but only 22% in 2019 (both times under Corbyn). Now, under “Covid” zealot Starmer? If Labour cannot get at least 20%, it will be significant.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Shropshire_(UK_Parliament_constituency).

[Update, 14 December 2022: well, the above analysis stood up pretty well: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_North_Shropshire_by-election. In the event, the LibDem won “a famous victory” (famous for 5 or perhaps 15 minutes) with 47.2% of the vote (2019, 10%). The Con Party candidate crashed and burned (31.6%, down from 62.7% in 2019). Labour came in third, with a mere 9.7% (down from 22.1% in 2019)].

So to get a peerage now, if you cannot donate a million to a System political party, you have to do noteworthy things such as…set up a charity or “good cause” which closes after a year or two with all its monies “gone” under suspicious circumstances, then fail to become either an MP or Mayor of London, and then…oh. that’s it, except that it helps to be black or brown these days.

[Update, 1 February 2024: Well, he was indeed made into a “plastic peer”, in the 1922 Resignation Honours List: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Bailey,_Baron_Bailey_of_Paddington].

It has been a little while since antifa cheerleader Mike Stuchbery mentioned me on Twitter. Well, one “good turn” deserves another! https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/10/23/a-few-words-about-mike-stuchbery/.

At least Stuchbery has given up describing himself as “historian“. Now it is “journalist/content editor“…

A rigged contest between an incompetent government and the official opposition that is enabling most of that government’s dictatorial “Covid” laws and regulations.

I have blogged before about potential minority Labour governments which would depend on SNP support. Problem would be that the SNP would like another Independence referendum, or even actual Independence. The hypothetical minority Labour government could not of course grant the latter without a referendum. As to the former, the SNP would probably make the holding of such a referendum a sine qua non of any Commons support.

Were a Scottish Independence referendum to be held, and were the SNP to win a majority for breaking away from the UK, as soon as the break happened, there would be no SNP MPs at Westminster. That Labour government would then fall.

On the figures modelled, Labour could then govern with LibDem support, but recent elections have shown the Conservative Party far larger in the Commons than Labour. No SNP might mean no Labour government ever again. An interesting conundrum for Labour, if those modelled figures were to match electoral reality in the next 2-3 years.

That Tom Harwood person is obviously a “slithey tove”, and careerist, who is quite knowingly “controlled opposition”.

Pretty sad that a government can use the Whittys and Fergusons to give faked “credibility” to their agenda —or rather the agenda of a transnational conspiracy of which “Boris” and his clowns are mere puppets— and then use scribblers and talking heads to spread the fake news.

Strange anomaly

For some reason, far more hits on the blog today than usual; several hundred, in fact. The other unusual statistic is that two-thirds today are apparently from Germany, which is very anomalous. There are usually a few hits from Germany, but not hundreds! Deutschland erwache!?

For those who may be interested, this blog usually gets about 80% of its hits from the UK; the rest come from all over the world, though most are from the USA, Australia, and a few other countries (France, Germany, Canada, and —oddly?— China are usually represented). I have had hits from almost every country, even places such as Burkina Faso, Paraguay, and (once only, I think!) Antarctica. Perhaps Adolf, emerging from an Antarctic opening from the hollow Earth (by submarine or flying saucer?), with devotees of the Welteislehre! Only joking…

The atomization of the population, and the sophisticated tools now in use for repressing any collective political or socio-political dissent, may lead to a wave of “lone wolves”, unless a proper social-national movement comes into existence soon. That possible wave of lone wolves would be a pity, because only a social-national movement can save us.

Just imagine…that could, and in fact would, be President of the USA if Biden were to snuff it while in office! Still, look at Biden himself. Come to that, who are we to talk, looking at Boris-idiot, Gove, and the rest of that pack of clowns?

I would compare these venal MPs to members of another old-established occupation, but at least those others give their customers pleasure, and/or a presumably required service, and at least the public does not end up footing the bill.

I did not know that, not that that matters, I not being a voter in North Shropshire.

I have a better and more just idea, but do not think that I can express it. I might add that I am surprised that Griffin, a Cambridge graduate, cannot spell the word restaurateur.

Already, Oxford is very different to what it was, not in the time of Zuleika Dobson, or that of Brideshead Revisited, but to what it was in the early 1960s.

I recall going once or twice with my mother in or about 1962 to some kind of Oxfam volunteer thing on, I think, a Saturday (we lived between Reading and Wallingford, so not hugely far from Oxford). I recall tables strewn with donated clothing in some kind of church hall or the like. People were sorting them, I think.

I do remember fairly empty roads, even in Oxford itself. I think we drove past the famous meadow track where the 4-minute-mile had been broken in 1954; my mother remarked on it. Anyway, the point is that the city and surroundings seemed uncrowded, quite different to the congested Oxford of today, where driving and especially parking is a nightmare.

Inflation 5%…not very long ago it was about 2.5%. Then we have the “proposal” to increase the pension age more rapidly than had been planned before the “panicdemic”.

Still think that “furlough” payments, and the rest of the “Covid” madness, came at no cost to the individual citizen? Think again…

Incidentally, the hall where that noble performance of Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony was recorded, on 7 October 1944, was destroyed by Allied bombing only weeks, or even days, later. There is now nothing left of the Beethoven-saal but a few stones and a couple of plaques. Wikipedia has the date of its destruction as 1 January 1944, which is probably a mistake (it may have been 1 January 1945).

Press standards, and a few other thoughts

From a Daily Mirror report, penned by “journalists” Alec Whitaker and Lorraine King:

Bride-to-be Tiffany Anderson, 28, even done the books for Rhys Mason so he could a tab on his ill-gotten gains while he stored the drugs in the safe at her tanning studio.” https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/beauty-salon-boss-allowed-fiance-23881586

She “done the booksso he could a tab on his ill-gotten gains“?! Newspapers such as the Daily Mirror may not be great literature but they used to be at least halfway literate. Nowadays, supposed journalists are often seen writing such as “she was stood at the back“! Not only the Mirror, incidentally. The Daily Mail is also terrible. Others too.

Neither is the above sentence, about someone called Tiffany, an isolated mistake. Look at the sub-headline in the same report.

On the wider question, how is it that the defendants got off so lightly? The thug boyfriend got 27 months, so he will be out in a year. As for the “ho”…yes, that’s right...suspended sentence. Who needs a Get Out Of Jail Free Card when you have a couple of young children as an argument in mitigation to put before the sentencing judge?

Finally, the court was told that the amount made by the couple was uncertain. Maybe so, but they owned a Range-Rover (albeit a decade old).

If the State, if society, is unwilling to really repress drug dealers and users, it will never solve the problem…

Alison Chabloz

Nothing new about Alison Chabloz’s proposed appeal and/or bail application. I shall add detail as I have it.

In the meantime, at least Alison has now already served (as of tomorrow,14 April 2021) 2 full weeks of what is effectively, or in real terms, a 7-8 week sentence.

Straw in the wind?

I was at, inter alia, a filling station today. As I went into the kiosk to pay, a lady was just coming out. I noticed that she was unmasked, though had pulled up her loose woollen jumper in a ludicrous gesture to the Covid toytown police state regime; yet the mere fact that she had no facemask muzzle on made my heart leap. Freedom!

More seriously, few really have much (if any) fear of “the virus” now (for good reason) but are complying with the facemask nonsense purely out of conformism and convenience. The whole nonsense of the “panicdemic” is ebbing away, not before time.

Translation of tweeter “@HerbyMcfly”s tweet: “I only accept what the msm news outlets tell me. I have no idea about the “Great Reset” or other proven (and even admitted) matters that are often lazily called “conspiracy theories”. I cannot even understand why a serial and constant liar, chancer, and opportunist like Boris Johnson would lie again for political advantage...”

Truly, “democracy” (and education) is wasted on some people.

“Beginning to think”?! Good grief! Where has that tweeter been for the past 50 years?!

Tweeter “@BillDrysdale6” makes a good point. A similar example might be the fairly useless and certainly hypocritical utterances of Laurence Fox, the “Free Speech Union” etc. While they are (like Breitbart, Prison Planet Watson, UKIP, Brexit Party, Farage etc) “controlled opposition”, the utterances of those people and groups do start to awaken some people, if not “radicalize” them directly.

…and there is no semi-placebo vaccine available, ironically.

…”had enough”, perhaps, but “do anything much about it”, beyond posting on Twitter, I doubt it.

I have no quarrel with people trying to raise socio-political consciousness by tweeting, vlogging, blogging (as I myself do), but those activities alone will not trigger anything directly.

I, who once lived in London (mostly Little Venice, but also several other areas from time to time), now have not even visited the capital for over 4 years, and have not followed the contest for the position of Mayor in detail.

I imagine that Khan, though useless and unpleasant, will probably win; the “Conservative” candidate, Shaun Bailey, has never done anything but be a kind of “Uncle Tom” for various parts of the Conservative Party etc, except to run a “charity” which accomplished nothing, and which suffered from financial “irregularities” (though Bailey was never actually charged with anything). Let’s just say that the monies “disappeared” somewhere…[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Bailey_(AM)#Career_before_politics].

Bailey may or may not have been dishonest; he may have been simply incompetent and/or negligent. Just the person to run London! Oh, no…wait!

Since 2016, Bailey has been a “list” member of the London Assembly. Nearly £60,000 a year for doing not a lot…[https://www.london.gov.uk/about-us/governance-and-spending/spending-money-wisely/salaries-expenses-benefits-and-workforce-information].

Bailey recently held a press conference, but the only person he could get to be filmed with him was a woman who could best be described as a “Balkan fraud”, and who was actually convicted of fraud and forgery a number of years ago (in 2013). ‘Nuff said…(for now).

The bookmakers have Khan as 1/33 (thirty-three-to-one on) favourite at present. Bailey is at 45/1 (against), with the second favourite one Brian Rose, an American former banker and heroin addict [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Rose_(podcaster)], and who stands at present at 25/1 in the betting, thus far ahead of Bailey but far far behind Khan: https://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/london-mayoral-election/winner.

Laurence Fox, the actor and (supposed) “free speech” champion is a candidate (presently in the betting at 250/1).

There are 20 candidates altogether, and a more useless bunch it would be hard to find…[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_London_mayoral_election#Candidates].

They call a circus like that “democracy” (“democrappy”?)…
