Greta Nut commentary

Interesting discussion and interview with “cancelled” (msm-censored) historian, David Starkey.

I had better not say what I think of Greta Thunberg, or what might happen in an ideal world. We do not have freedom of expression any more in the UK. I have blogged about her, though, including this from two years ago: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/09/29/greta-thunberg-system-approved-wunderkind/.

If Greta Thunberg did not exist, it would be necessary for the international conspiracy to invent her. Oh, no, wait…

Another interesting video

I rather like the tweets of @EternalEnglish. I urge any readers with Twitter accounts to follow that account while they can, before (((the usual suspects))) have it expunged. I might not agree with all of what he says, but, adapting the lyrics of “Meatloaf”, “nine out of ten ain’t bad”.

[Update, 3 October 2022: as I feared, the Jew lobby has now had tweeter “@EternalEnglish” removed from Twitter].

When I was a barrister practising from chambers in Exeter (2002-2008), I had contact with some of the Devon (and East Cornwall) hunting/shooting country set. Not necessarily “bad people”, but not particularly “good” either. Overall, just rather backward in terms of attitude, I should say.

Facemask nonsense

(Q: is “laughter the best medicine”?)

More tweets

I am no medic, but there has been, from the start, something not right about the whole System narrative around the Covid-19 “panicdemic”.

First of all, in early 2020, we were told that this was something almost akin to the 1970s British TV series, Survivors (no relation to the funny Alison Chabloz banned song of the same name): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivors_(1975_TV_series); incidentally, writing this, I notice that Survivors was remade in 2008, still with the same idea, i.e. that a Chinese lab releases a deadly virus, which spreads worldwide, changing everything…makes you think.

So, anyway, we were all thoroughly frightened in early 2020. However, measures such as the facemask nonsense were not implemented in the UK for about another 7 months. In some parts of Europe, notably Sweden, there was no panic, no facemask nonsense, all the bars and offices stayed open, and —quelle surprise— outcomes were better than in the UK and the other panicked parts of Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium etc).

Since then we have seen that, in the world as a whole (even on the very inflated and misapplied statistics used), maybe 5 million people have died of or, rather, with “the virus”, which figure sounds huge but is out of 8 BILLION people. In other words, roughly one person out of every 1,800.

In fact, most of the deceased had other life-threatening problems anyway, many have been very aged (thus with low immunity), and many have become part of the death-statistics simply because they had (unreliable) positive tests for “the virus” up to a month prior to their death (which might even have been in a car accident). Absurd.

The UK is now going to be hit with poverty and restriction thanks to the policies applied for nearly two years by part-Jew chancer “Boris” and Indian “clever boy” Rishi Sunak. Pensioners are going to be hit as far as they can be without alienating their mainly pro-Conservative Party votes entirely; taxes overall will be increased by stealth as far as possible.

Huge amounts that could have been spent improving infrastructure and/or the environment have been just squandered on nothing much, squandered for no reason.

The crazed “furlough” payments and other policies did not come free of charge, though the masses probably, in fact clearly, assumed that they did.

More tweets

Interesting. Even less favourable than I would have assumed. A small sample, though.

A far larger sample than with the previous tweets, but once you adjust for the inbuilt Remainer bias on Twitter, the result is, in reality, probably not far off 50-50 again.

Meanwhile, and while free speech in the UK is being destroyed by, mainly, Jew-Zionists, the BBC has seen fit to make a TV drama series, Ridley Road, portraying Jew terrorists, gangsters, and other thugs of the 1960s, as heroes.

Possible, yes. Also very short-lived.

As Labour is now, its only hope of office is to get to within about 50-60 seats of a Commons majority, and then to make a compact of some sort with the SNP and its MPs (numbering, at present, 45). However, the SNP would only make such a compact on the firm understanding of an early Indyref Mark 2. If that were to happen, and if, then, the SNP won such a second “indyref”, then the UK would break up, the SNP would no longer be in the Commons at all, and Labour as a party of government would be history.

Good point from Hitchens here. The point is valid also in respect of the Second World War. In the UK, great strides were being made in the 1930s in the areas of town planning, housing etc; the Depression poverty of the North was certainly not replicated in the South of England, generally speaking, certainly not in the late 1930s. The War spoiled much of the good that was happening. Britain only started to recover from its pyrrhic victory from or after 1955.

There are two basic aspects to the discussion over the Universal Credit cut: firstly, the compassionate or charitable aspect, i.e. monies provided to those in need because they are in need; if you like, the “Christian” or “spiritual” motivation. Then there is the other, more practical reason to redistribute some money via benefits, which is that of economic stimulation, because relatively poor people have to spend most if not all of what income they receive.

Waitrose foray

Went to get some items at supermarket in the nearby small town. On the way, saw a long line of cars waiting in line to fill up at the only immediately-local filling station. Panic-buying, basically.

In Waitrose, not many shoppers, but I noticed that all the loo paper except some extra-quality expensive stuff had gone. More panic-buying?

Otherwise, a few small gaps in the shelves but mostly normal. Fruit is less varied than in previous years.

I thought that, on the return journey, the filling station might be empty, but no, a number of cars still in line, though far fewer than when I went out. Still, that station must still have fuel.

I daresay that the panic over fuel will subside once people have filled their tanks. As to jerricans, some people are selfish and stupid, but most cans only hold 1, 2, or at most 4 gallons. My car’s tank holds about 15 or 16 gallons, so you would need 4-16 jerricans to replicate the amount.

I think that the panic-buy nonsense will subside soon, but I have no doubt that the more affluent and well-housed citizens are already stocking up on the usual suspects, i.e. tinned fish, pasta etc.

The selfishness and panic seen spotlight how inaccurate is the “we are all a happy multikulti nation, pulling together” (as seen last year in the faked lockdown-shutdown communitarianism, the enforced clapping etc). It was a lie. It is a lie. Britain is split in many ways: money, class, race, nationality, cultural norms etc. It is scarcely a nation at all now.

Does everyone keep thinking “which will be the first car or truck to slowly roll over those nuisances?“, or is that just me?…

“They” have wormed their way in everywhere in the UK since the late 19thC, but mainly since 1945.

Only the most “extreme” social national policies and actions can save Europe, especially the UK, now.

This is being triggered and encouraged. When there is a multiplicity of “threats” (albeit unreal), then the System can impose an even more Draconian repression. 2020 was only the start.

Diary Blog, 20 September 2021, including thoughts about the 33-year cycle and the 2022-2055 Zeitgeist

Morning music

One fact ought to be in the very forefront of our consciousness— that humanity is still at or near the beginning of its open-ended evolution.

In relation to that, I repost my blogging about such matters: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/26/the-tide-is-coming-in-reflections-on-the-possible-end-of-our-present-civilization-and-what-might-follow/.

I believe that Adolf Hitler said something to the effect that we are moving from interpretation of the world by intellect to “interpretation” by the Will. A comment probably influenced by both Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_as_Will_and_Representation; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Nietzsche#Will_to_power.

If harnessed, the Will can be a directly-causative force, either creative or destructive; if the latter, striking down the enemies of upward evolution without any need for direct contact. Thy Will be done.

Tweets seen today

As I have blogged previously, we are rapidly approaching the very significant year 2022, 33 years after the last such year (1989). It will be recalled that, in 1989, several trends ceased to be a main part of the “furniture” or “structure” of the world: notably, socialism in various guises, and the strength of the Arab/Muslim oil-rich bloc. Likewise, other trends stepped up: the New World Order, in particular.

Now we see, not only in the UK but worldwide, a push by the transnational “conspiracy” to force a biosecurity police state on the population(s): the facemask nonsense, the largely-ineffective vaccines (with “need” for constant monitoring, testing, and tracking of the population); the shutting down of electricity supplies, deliberately-engineered food shortages etc.

On Twitter, many of the Twitter-twits blame Brexit for the above. How can that be so, when countries such as Norway, Australia etc are affected as badly or worse than the UK? Brexit was badly-mishandled, admittedly. What else could be expected, with part-Jew chancer “Boris” as Prime Minister, and a “Cabinet of Clowns” as supporting cast?

The 1989-2022 agenda of the NWO was derailed by two main opposed-to-NWO/ZOG trends: the resurgence of Russia (however flawed that resurgence) under Putin from 1998 (Prime Minister from 1999), and the rise of Islamism.

The upcoming 2022-2055 Zeitgeist is also being seized by the NWO/ZOG cabals, but may be derailed, or partly-so, by opposed forces or trends which cannot be exactly predicted. Perhaps by, in part, the resurgence in Europe of social-nationalism,. Certainly that has been predicted by at least one former Chief of SIS (MI6).

No years can be without a future. If the spiritually-correct future is absent, an evil future will fill the void. Which of the two takes the leading role during 2022-2055 is very important for the future of Europe in particular.

That happened during the Miners’ Strike of the 1980s (Army personnel in police uniforms).

Diary Blog, 19 September 2021, including thoughts about the msm “blacks with everything” campaign and agenda

“Blacks with everything”

In the early 1960s, the Jewish playwright of The Kitchen, Arnold Wesker, wrote a play called Chips with Everything, the title being taken from the British urban workers’ cafes which offered a range of cooked food, every selection on the menu also including chips. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Wesker

Well, now in 2021, it seems that TV viewers in the UK have to accept “blacks with everything”.

I suppose that the difference is that, in the case of the East London cafes of 1960, at least the customers could choose whether to order the food or not (and, come to that, no doubt could order their fare “without chips” if they wanted).

In the UK television world of 2021, we have no choice. It’s “blacks with everything”, whether we want it, like it, or hate it. We hear much these days about “diversity”, but on mainstream “British” television these days, there is no diversity. There are blacks everywhere. Not only are they cast in almost every contemporary-UK production, often in leading roles, but in dramas or drama-docs set in the England of the 1970s, 1960s, 1950s, and 19th century! Even in those productions set in Tudor or mediaeval times!

This trend is of course ahistorical. I was born in the UK (in Berkshire) in 1956, and lived in the UK until mid-1967, and I scarcely saw any non-white people. There was a Caribbean black consultant I recall from the Royal Berks Hospital, and I remember seeing (?) Indians in a park in (I think) Rugby, when my family visited someone there. That’s all.

The BBC and other TV companies, however, present a different view. In their presentation, Britain was “multicultural” even in the times of Henry VIII! A recent production cast an American black actress as Anne Boleyn!

When you come to more recent times, TV dramas show places as different as Grantchester (Cambridgeshire) in the early 1950s (Grantchester) and Newcastle on Tyne in the 1960s (Inspector George Gently) as replete with blacks, as well as Indians and others. It’s a lie, but only those who were living at the time, or are particularly attached to historical investigation, will know that. The rest, meaning mainly the young, probably just accept those characterizations as accurate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grantchester_(TV_series); https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspector_George_Gently.

Endeavour is no different. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endeavour_(TV_series)

Likewise, TV ads. I have blogged about this a few times before, eg https://ianrobertmillard.org/2018/12/10/tv-ads-and-soaps-are-the-propaganda-preferred-by-the-system-in-the-uk/. The mixed couple, with the black “husband” figure, and the white (often blonde) “wife”, sometimes pregnant, sometimes with a couple of mixed-race children around.

We must be clear about this. The above situation is not some kind of accident. This is a campaign of propaganda and brainwashing being carried on with the aim of normalizing mixed liaisons, normalizing mixed-race offspring, normalizing a non-white and/or mixed-race society.

Will people like me be brainwashed by all that? No. That is not the intention. The intention is to indoctrinate the young. They grow up seeing these lying dramas, and so accepting a pseudo-“diverse” (actually ethnically-cleansed-of-whites) society as normal. It cheats the British people, the European peoples, the world as a whole, of a decent future.

Who is behind it? It is too simplistic to say, baldly, “the Jews”, though it is true that Jews permeate the industries in question: film, TV, advertising, (and scribbling for) newspapers and magazines etc. On the conceptual level, we are talking about “NWO/ZOG”, meaning the New World Order and Zionist Occupation Government cabals.

See: the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan (via Google).

Incidentally, the oft-heard argument that the aforesaid msm propaganda merely reflects society is another lie: according to censuses, the actual black population of the UK is only about 3%-4%, while the black/mixed population is only 2%/3%, so overall 5%-7% of the whole: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom#Ethnic_groups.

Of course, bearing in mind that there were virtually no blacks in the UK (except small groups in areas such as Tiger Bay and Notting Hill) until the 1970s, the proportion has grown exponentially.

A 2006 genetic study shows that more than 50 per cent of England’s gene pool contains Germanic Y chromosomes.[379] Another 2005 genetic analysis indicates that “about 75 per cent of the traceable ancestors of the modern British population had arrived in the British isles by about 6,200 years ago, at the start of the British Neolithic or Stone Age.” “[Wikipedia].

What is presently happening is an attempt to destroy the future of the British people and of all Europe. Anyone who supports such a vandalistic plan is an enemy, a mortal enemy.

Stagflation looks possible, recession looks possible. Large proportion of the population having its income cut. Means lower spending, lower turnover for businesses.

Politically, it will make a difference once people in sufficient numbers are hurting enough. However, to make a turn to social-nationalism possible (rather than simply a turn to System Labour from System Conservative), the hurt has to be very painful, and very widespread. If that were to happen, things might change quickly.

When there is real crime, the police are often useless, but if some Jew gets annoyed about something he has read on Twitter or Facebook (etc), they are on the case. The rot has attacked the head first, meaning the higher ranks of the police, which have been suborned by both the Jew-Zionist element and by the general societal madness now widely abroad (“Black Lives Matter”, LGBTXYZ etc).

It is perhaps all too easy to mock the sort of nonsense seen in those Swindon Police tweets, but behind the little communitarian drones posting stuff like that stands a much greater force for evil, meaning the 2022-2055 NWO/ZOG agenda, now gearing up to seize the Zeitgeist of the next 33 years, and to distort it for special-interest purposes.

I happened to see this website: https://www.anthroposophie.ch/en/arts-architecture/topics/articles/architecture/buildings-surrounding-the-goetheanum.html

In 1978, I was able to visit the Goetheanum, situated in Switzerland, not very far from Basel.

While I was in the area (one week), I had a few interesting experiences, and saw a few things the average tourist does not. Perhaps I shall blog another time about those aspects of my visit. Today, just a few photographs and notes about the Goetheanum and surrounding buildings.

When I visited the Goetheanum, the Glass House, originally a place used to work artistically on glass, housed the Natural Sciences section of the Anthroposophical Society. A remarkably modern-seeming building, considering that it was built in 1914.

Good point. Of course, “democracy” is not easily defined, even assuming that it is (whatever it is) a “good thing”. All true, but this is merely more “controlled opposition”.

The post-1945 world order has been falling apart for some time: the fall of socialism after 1989, the rise of China, the migration-invasion by blacks and browns into Europe and other formerly white European lands. As in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, there are now, in simple terms, three large players: USA (with client-states such as the UK), China (with its clients), and Russia, struggling but still there, still with massive armed forces and very large numbers of ICBMs.

Orwell was in some ways a prophet, but (having seen Stalinism crush almost everything before it in the 1930s and 1940s) could not imagine that socialism (Stalinism and all other forms of old-style socialism) would just disappear, as it —in effect— has done.

Our present world is not pure Nineteen Eighty-Four but only partly-so; there are elements of Brave New World as well, and other nuances. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_New_World; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four

Germany in 1914 and 1939 could not devastate the UK with nuclear weapons; China might be able to do that, though its present strategy seems to be simply to flood Europe with all sorts of Chinese immigrants, thus fulfilling the maxim of Sun Tzu: “to win without war is the supreme excellence“…[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Tzu; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_War].

At any rate, the UK has much to lose and nothing to gain by —once again— doing what the USA’s ruling circles want the UK to do. Much of what China does is appalling, but the UK is not in a position where it can challenge China, realistically.

Not all of them are vaccine inventors like Dame Sarah. One is described as a ‘frontline worker’ who ‘joined forces with other Asian-American medics to fight racial bias in the pandemic’. Another is a psychiatrist who has ‘campaigned against systemic racism in the healthcare profession’.

And so once again we see a major corporation making its peace with the new regime. There is barely any company, institution, school, publication or church which has not done the same, or is not about to do it.

With gathering speed and completeness, a total revolution in thought and morals is taking hold of Western societies, just at the moment when they should be girding themselves against pressure to become more like China.

The zero-Covid fanatics, ready to throttle our society in pursuit of an illusion of perfect safety, have greatly benefited from this. And in the weeks to come the zealots of man-made global warming will press their dogmatic agenda and their demands that we impoverish ourselves to save the planet (demands China refuses to follow).

If all this had happened in a few weeks, while Red Guards slouched on street corners and the leaders of the old regime were dragged off to the firing squad, we’d see it for what it is. But, as long as there are enough loo-rolls in the supermarket, and the electricity keeps flowing, most people will never notice the revolution raging all around them.” [Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday].

Hitchens’ column this week is also worth reading for comment about both the ever-shrinking British naval reach, and the facemask nonsense.

GB News

I have still not watched the doomed GB News “controlled opposition” TV station. I have watched a few clips on Twitter. Today I saw another grovelling interview of a character from the malicious Jew-Zionist pressure group and fake “charity” calling itself “Campaign Against Antisemitism”. This time it was CAA “Chief Executive” Gideon Falter.

The interviewer was one Michelle Dewberry [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Dewberry], described (I think rather kindly) by Wikipedia as “businesswoman, politician, presenter, and media personality.

The “businesswoman” bit seems to be based on two small businesses started 15-20 years ago, both of which seem to have bombed, though information seems limited.

As for “politician”, that seems to be founded on her two unsuccessful attempts to be elected as MP (once as Independent, once for Brexit Party).

As interviewer, I thought her grovellingly unwilling to challenge Falter. Other impressions? Semi-coherent, biased in presentation, and actually rather dull.

I do not suppose that Michelle Dewberry will find life tough once this TV station (pretending to be a media outlet for dissidence) collapses: she has a rather wealthy boyfriend [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Jordan#Personal_life].

How long before GB News does collapse? At a guess, 6-12 months.

[Update, 7 August 2022: seems that I was premature in predicting that GB News would disappear within 12 months. It is still around, though I myself have still not seen it even once.

GB News’ most recent filed profit/loss, only up to May 2021, shows a loss of £2.7M.

Interestingly, for a TV channel with such a name, the four main people at the channel have the following nationalities: Australian, Dutch, and British/American: see https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12859339/officers.

4 August 2021

A very truncated blog post today (by reason of a computer connection problem), so I shall write a little tonight, then add more tomorrow.

Facemask nonsense

While running a few errands yesterday (in the American phrase), I saw quite a few silly people still wearing masks even outdoors, including several people wearing them while walking on a clifftop overlooking the Channel! In a strong breeze of at least 15 mph, at that! I saw one family, a man, woman and two small children, all masked on the clifftop! They must have noticed my gaze, or realized the absurdity of their behaviour, because I noticed that when they walked back 10 minutes later, only the woman was still wearing the mask.

Admittedly, most people were not wearing the masks outdoors, but in a Tesco supermarket about 6 miles from my home, more wearing masks than not. However, no-one looked oddly at unmasked me, let alone said some, or any, virtue-signalling nonsense.

I get the impression that, now, the facemasks are less about any perceived (wrongly imagined) health benefits and more about saying “look, I am a member of the virtue-signallers’ tribe”…

Oddly, in view of the fact that most Jews (at least on Twitter) seem to be facemask zealots, I saw a horrible-looking Jewish woman unmasked; not at that supermarket, but in a large village somewhat inland; she was with not only three small children (one actually wearing one of those skullcaps…a yarmulka?), but also two even younger ones, pushed in a double pushchair. None were masked, in fact. An unpleasant sight all the same. An unusual thing to see in this part of the world.

When the country is under occupation and alien rule, rebellion is a duty.

Ha. Quite. Seems that the holes in cloth masks are 500,000x the size of “Covid-19” particles. In other words, facemasks are all but pointless. The main reason millions of “rabbits” are still wearing them (many even outside!) is because those deluded people want to proclaim that they are members of the tribe and/or good compliant citizen-serfs.

A couple of days ago, I saw two teenage girls, maybe 16-17, talking on the high street of a small town. Strong sunshine, a fairly strong breeze, no people anywhere near them either, and they were both wearing facemasks! One black mask and one polka dot mask. The masks did not match their outer clothing, anyway! Why were they behaving like that? God knows. Social conditioning. MSM conditioning. Such people are beyond reach. I drove on, shaking my head…

The illicit purported “laws” are now in place. Should the government of clowns want to mandate facemasks again, say in November, or December, 2021, and on some spurious biosecurity ground, they will be able to do so, and millions of citizen-serfs will obey, at once.

Exactly. Two people I know went down (if such be the bon mot) with “the virus”: my 20-something Australian niece (in London), who was told to drink water and take a few Paracetomol, and my then 99-y-o mother-in-law. The first recovered within a couple of weeks, the second never had any symptoms at all (routine testing in hospital discovered her supposed infection).

Reply to Martin Bright, of “Index on Censorship”…now headed by Ruth Smeeth, the half-Jew/Zionist pro-Israel propagandist, former Labour MP, and former “strictly protected” confidential contact of the US Embassy…https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Smeeth.

As I have blogged before, there is a large bloc of people in the UK who basically want to be controlled, told what to do, what to wear, what to think. Many are “Remainers”, many are (self-proclaimed) “antifascists”, and those on Twitter are often the (usually) idiotic who say that they are “FBPE” etc.

Not sure that I agree with Hitchens here. The few Trotskyists and similar “Leftists” I knew at and immediately after school were all pedestrian in mentality. Some claimed to be both Communist and anarchist! Trotskyism —a dummy intellectuality for the mediocre. Surprisingly (?), many Trotskyists have always been Jew or part-Jew (as, latter, is Hitchens).

I am also not in agreement with Hitchens when he refers to “Left wing” sympathies having been less popular in the (?) 1970s or late 1960s. I myself never use the terms “Left” and “Right” as meaningful, but certainly socialism of the old sort is just passe now, nicht wahr?

The above tweet typifies not only the view of John Rentoul, but also of the “New Labour” type of System commentator (and politician) generally. They think that politicians should —mainly— find out the public/msm view (via polling, focus groups etc) then do whatever that research suggests in order to be going with the popular tide; to be “electable”. I disagree. Leaders must lead, must make judgments based on their own views and assessments.

In 1928, Hitler and the NSDAP were very definitely not popular. They got only 2.8% of the popular vote. However, their integrity and vision impressed that same fickle public when, after the collapse of the world finance-capitalist economy in 1929, the vision of a German renaissance was held out. The NSDAP scored 33% in 1932 and, with Hitler as Chancellor, 44% in 1933.

Integrity. Congruence. Vision. Belief.

The sort of issue which happens when a superficially “liberal” regime (such as under the “Labour”-label governments from 1997-2010) passes kneejerk laws “for public protection”, but which scarcely protect the public while at the same time trashing the true rule of law and civil rights. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imprisonment_for_public_protection.

There have been other such laws, such as the very bad law known as Communications Act 2003, s.127, under whch jokers, satirists, socio-political commentators, and those discussing the fakery around the “holocaust” narrative have been harassed and even imprisoned. Singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz for one.

Even I myself was questioned, in 2017, after a cheeky Jew from Essex made malicious complaint to the police of his area about tweets I had —allegedly— posted. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/.

Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 may now face repeal, following the recent report by the Law Commission, but there are a number of other “kneejerk” laws still standing, such as that by which almost all firearms were criminalized in 1997. As usual emotion led thought: only three “gun massacres” have occurred in British civil history, of which two were pre-1997 (Dunblane and Hungerford).

As a result of politicians wanting to get public approbation for “doing something”, privately held pistols were effectively banned, even if held by clubs. Has that stopped “gun crime”? No. There was a later “spree shooting” (in 2011) by someone using licensed shotguns and rifles, and there have been innumerable shootings by criminal gangs and individuals.

Apsana Begum

Where does one start? First of all (obviously), she is not of English or British origins: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apsana_Begum. Secondly, she has (of course) never had a real job, just political agitation and the usual “diversity” and “anti-racism” bs.

“In response to allegations that the ex-Mayor Lutfur Rahman was behind her political career, Begum told Eastlondonlines: “It is grossly insulting, as well as being rooted in racism and misogyny, to assume that I have no agency of my own and that I must be a ‘proxy’ or ‘stooge’ for a man I have not spoken to for six years.” [Wikipedia]

Strangely enough, her defence at her recent fraud trial was quite or almost the reverse: that she had been coerced into doing things by her estranged husband…

I presume that Apsana Begum is still living in her council flat. While, in principle, I have no objection to an MP living in a council flat, MPs do get paid about £85,000 a year (plus fairly generous expenses), so it does seem unfair on the poor and homeless of Tower Hamlets that she continues to occupy a cheap flat when she could afford a better private one (or to buy one on a mortgage), and bearing in mind that Limehouse and Tower Hamlets is a safe Labour seat (and near-rotten borough), so she can probably expect to be the MP for a long long time (unless a national revolution occurs, please God).

In England, it is unlawful for newspapers or others to enquire about the detailed composition or views of members of a jury during or even after a trial, so we do not know the racial and/or religious composition of that acquitting jury. Pity…

Of all the countries in the world, the one I would have thought, years ago, would be least likely to turn into an NWO/ZOG “woke” dictatorship or tyranny would have been Australia, where I myself was at school for three years in the late 1960s (Middle Harbour PS and North Sydney Boys’ High).

Seems that times have changed, to put it tritely.

I was friendly, in 1996-97, with the Australian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, and his lady ambassadress. He updated me, when he and his wife were my guests at dinner (at my favourite small Georgian restaurant, where I and guests were usually the only diners) on the demographic changes since the 1960s, in particular the huge increase of both population and built area (especially in and around Sydney, where I had been as a child, living in Mosman and then Cremorne).

That population explosion and suburban expansion has continued.

In the late 1960s, Sydney had about 2.5M inhabitants; now it is 5.5M. Australia as a whole had about 12M people; now about 25M.

As for the composition of the population, far more mixed now: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demography_of_Australia#Immigration_and_country_of_birth

Chesham and Amersham by-election result

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesham_and_Amersham_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2020s

I called it wrong. My view, up to the morning of the by-election, was that the Conservative Party would hang on, though probably with a smallish majority. After all, even in the Labour landslide (perceived landslide, at least) of 1997, the Con vote in the constituency topped 50%, and the expenses-blodging of the Con MP made no difference at all in 2010 (60.4%).

Yesterday, during the day of the by-election, I saw from news and tweets that the LibDems were showing strongly, but I still did not think that, on balance, they could dislodge the Conservatives, who had held the seat with ease since its creation in 1974.

I was not alone in guessing at a likely successful Con defence. Here was the Chief Political Correspondent of the Financial Times, tweeting only yesterday afternoon…

…and that tweet was retweeted by Britain Elects [@BritainElects].

Now we know. The LibDem vote-share more than doubled to 56.7%. The Con vote slumped to 35.5% (from 55.4% in 2019).

The Green Party candidate managed third place, though losing her deposit; she scored 3.9%, poor compared to 2019’s 5.5%.

The Labour Party lost its deposit for the first time in the history of the constituency, scoring only 1.6% (compared to 12.9% in 2019). Only 622 votes, on a turnout of over 38,000.

Of the remaining four candidates, only Reform Party, the lame-duck successor to Brexit Party, scored above 1% (1.1%). Breakthrough Party 0.5%; Freedom Alliance 0.4% and, very much “tail-end Charlie”, Rejoin EU (0.3%). The last’s candidate, one-time Foreign Office man (and 1990s Con MEP) Brendan Donnelly, had made what must surely have been the least-convincing argument to the voters, i.e. that nothing could be done to help Chesham and Amersham people until the UK rejoined the EU!

My thoughts on the by-election, now that the results are known? First, of course, that this was the convergence of several factors such as, most importantly, the prevalence of tactical voting.

Former or otherwise Labour and Green voters seem to have taken the view that their preferred candidate was not going to win, and so they voted LibDem as the least-worse of the two main options.

Local factors (the usual LibDem strong suit) played a part: the trashing of the Green Belt by the present “Borshch Belt” government; the subservience of the “Conservative” government to the big housebuilding companies and their featureless tracts of expensive but unaesthetic housing; the continuing of the pointless and vandalistic HS2 rail project.

Turnout was low, about 52% (two-thirds of that of the 2019 General Election). Many former Conservative voters, perhaps angry at the HS2 situation, and/or the Con plans to build on the local Green Belt, seem to have stayed home.

My main interest in the by-election was to see how far Labour would slump. I correctly predicted from the start that Labour would lose its deposit, but I had envisaged a vote-share of just below 5%, not one well below 2%!

I suppose that Labour officials will be saying that Labour voters simply “lent their votes” to the LibDems, tactically. Some truth in that, of course, but for me the story is that Labour is very much on the way out now, and is perceived as a niche party rather than as an alternative government.

The Labour lost deposit in Chesham and Amersham will quicken interest in how Labour will do in the other by-election, at Batley and Spen, which is set down for 1 July 2021 (Thursday week). I have already blogged about that contest: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2021/06/04/the-batley-and-spen-by-election-2021/.

The result at Chesham and Amersham certainly reinforces the view that Labour has nothing at all to offer most English people, and that most English people are alert to that fact.

I have blogged fairly prolifically about Labour’s loss of a role and a purpose in the post-1989 space. What is extraordinary is that Labour’s remaining supporters do not see what is in front of their eyes. For them, there are two main System parties, and Labour is one of them, and all they need to do is wait until the pendulum swings back their way.

In reality, Labour has lost Scotland forever, and any “Independence” (however defined) will mean that Labour would not even be able to form a UK coalition or minority government with SNP support. The 59 Scottish seats are vital.

The breakdown of the old Labour-voting industrial communities in the North and Midlands, and in Wales, leaves Labour like a spare guest at a festivity.

One could imagine that a charismatic Labour leader with real ideas might be able to reinvent Labour, perhaps along the lines of Blue Labour [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Labour], a kind of very watered-down “national socialism” in an English context.

There is no sign at present that Labour can do that. Jewish-lobby puppet Keir Starmer is as dull as ditchwater, and has no interesting ideas at all politically or socially, like most barristers. Corbyn got halfway there, despite being not too intelligent and being almost uneducated.

Corbyn was too weak on the Jewish Question or “JQ”, while Starmer is just a complete puppet. Both also subscribe to the pathetic “Black Lives Matter” nonsense. Starmer was photographed on his knee, with Angela Rayner, displaying fealty to the nonsense. At least Boris-idiot has not done that!

Labour is now basically a party for some ethnic minorities, for some NHS and other public service employees, and for the sort of unthinking pseudo-“socialists” found on Twitter.

Of course, the LibDems will claim that this is the moment for their next big upsurge. Doubtful. The LibDems are currently polling, with the Greens, somewhere around 7%. The LibDems, and before them their ancestor-party, the Liberals, did this: have a big by-election success, followed by nothing very much. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962_Orpington_by-election; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1958_Torrington_by-election; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_Eastbourne_by-election.

Could there be similar upsets? I suppose so, if there is dissatisfaction with the Conservatives, a by-election, and a seat where there is a strong LibDem presence but also where Labour and others have no real chance of success. However, I doubt that the LibDems are really reviving across the board.

Update, 30 October 2023

Well, two and a half years on, and I have to admit that I thought that Labour would just fade away, and would have pretty much faded by now. Instead, though little if any of it is by reason of its own efforts, policy, or personalities, Labour is currently riding high, and the “Conservative” Party is the party that looks as if it could all but disappear after 2024.

That startling change has come about purely because the Con Party Government, meaning that bunch of idiots currently pretending to rule the UK, has proven itself just completely useless.

I do not think I can recall, at age 67, a UK government as poor, in all areas, as this one.

We have had Boris-idiot, and since then 49 (or was it 46?) days of the egregious “ho” Liz Truss posing as Prime Minister (assisted by Woollyhead Trussbanger, aka Kwasi Kwarteng); and now we have Indian money-juggler Sunak, and a Cabinet and Government largely composed of Indians, Jews and some white deadheads. Useless.

Labour are looking good to triumph purely by default. Not mainly. Purely.

Only 5/10 this week, though I still beat John Rentoul (again); he only scored 4/10. I did not know the answers to questions 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10 (could not remember what LED —exactly— means, and I hit the post on the Battle of Bannockburn, knowing that it was Edward I’s successor but not knowing who the hell that was).

The reference there is to Paul Halloran, the candidate at Batley and Spen of the “Heavy Woollen District Independents” in the 2019 General Election: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batley_and_Spen_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2020s. He scored 12.2%, a very creditable result. I mentioned the fact in my blog post of yesterday about the upcoming Batley and Spen by-election (1 July 2021): https://ianrobertmillard.org/2021/06/04/the-batley-and-spen-by-election-2021/.

It seems that the said Halloran has now joined the no-chance Reclaim Party set up by the actor Laurence Fox, who now stands for free speech (except, it seems, where Jews disapprove or are mentioned). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_Fox.

Halloran, Fox, and Reclaim Party have issued a statement: https://mailchi.mp/a466726a0fd3/media-statement-the-reclaim-party-and-paul-halloran?e=d4fb63896d.

https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/west-yorkshire-news/paul-halloran-wont-standing-batley-20751008

It is clear that Reclaim Party will never amount to anything. As far as the Batley and Spen by-election in July is concerned, the stand-aside will obviously help the Conservative candidate, but what is unknown is by how many votes. Halloran received 12.2% of the vote in 2019, true, but Fox, in the recent London Mayoral Election, only 1.9%.

I suppose that it might be surmised that Halloran, had he stood at Batley, might have garnered 5% of the by-election vote, possibly 10%, and maybe even 15%+, but the fact is that that is pure speculation. We do not know.

What we do know is that the above news is probably a blow for Labour. A few percent might decide this contest.

Chesham and Amersham by-election 2021

The Chesham and Amersham by-election is set down for 17 June 2021. It has been occasioned by the death of the sitting member, Cheryl Gillan [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Gillan].

I usually abide by the maxim de mortuis nihil nisi bonum (“[say] nothing but good of the [recent] dead”) but the fact is that the recently-deceased MP was little better than a persistent and outright thief [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Gillan#Expenses] who defrauded the taxpayer out of far more than was explicitly exposed during the 2009 expenses scandal.

As to the constituency, this is rock-solid Conservative Party territory, situated at the suburban and semi-rural Northern joint termini of the Metropolitan Line.

Since the seat was created in 1974, the Conservatives have held it, at first with Ian Gilmour [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Gilmour,_Baron_Gilmour_of_Craigmillar] and then with Cheryl Gillan, who “inherited” the seat in 1992.

The lowest ebb of Conservative Party fortunes at Chesham and Amersham was 1997, but even in that year of “Labour landslide” the Conservative vote held up at 50.4%. The high-water mark was the 1992 General Election (63.3%). Even the expenses scandal did not dent Cheryl Gillan’s vote (60.4% in 2010).

Second place in elections at Chesham and Amersham has usually gone to the Liberal Democrats, but UKIP (2015, 13.7%) and Labour (2017, 20.6%) have also featured.

The LibDem vote-share fell to only 9% (and a fourth-place) in the debacle of 2015, but recovered to 13% in 2017, and to 26.3% in 2019.

As for Labour, its low point was 2010 (5.6%), and its high point 2017 (20.6%).

Eight candidates contest the by-election, the other five being Green Party, Reform Party UK, Freedom Alliance, Breakthrough Party, and Rejoin EU.

Green Party got 5.5% at Chesham and Amersham in 2019.

Reform Party UK is the rump of Brexit Party, and scored 1% in the most recent London Assembly elections.

Rejoin EU managed to get a vote of 1.1% in the 2021 London Mayoral election. Its by-election candidate is Brendan Donnelly [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_Donnelly_(politician)], a one-time employee at the Foreign Office, who became a Conservative Party MEP in 1994, then left the Conservative Party, stood again in 1999 under the banner of the short-lived “Pro-Euro Conservative Party” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro-Euro_Conservative_Party], failed to be re-elected, and thereafter became a serial and unsuccessful pro-EU election candidate under several flags.

Freedom Alliance is a reaction to the toytown police state created by the 2020 Coronavirus events, and is based in Huddersfield [https://freedomalliance.co.uk/], though its Chesham and Amersham by-election candidate is a former Green Party councillor who lives in High Wycombe [https://freedomalliance.co.uk/england-candidates/].

As for Breakthrough Party, it describes itself as “a democratic socialist party, led by the younger generations...” [https://breakthroughparty.org.uk/]; https://www.thecanary.co/feature/2021/04/18/a-new-political-party-wants-a-breakthrough-for-young-people/. Its by-election candidate is Carla Gregory, aged 31, a charity worker: https://www.nationalworld.com/news/politics/chesham-and-amersham-by-election-mum-of-two-standing-for-new-breakthrough-party-to-be-voice-of-unheard-3241528.

The main interest in the by-election will be that of seeing how low Labour will sink.

Well, Hitchens is sometimes worth noting, but I have to say that when I had a Twitter account (a pack of Jew-Zionists had me expelled in 2018), Hitchens blocked me mainly if not entirely because he saw that I knew more than him. My later assessment of him: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/19/peter-hitchens-and-his-views/.

Not new, of course. I wrote the following blog post over two years ago, and about a Daily Telegraph article itself written in 2012: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/02/04/white-flight-in-a-small-country/.

NWO. ZOG. The Great Reset. It’s happening right in front of our eyes, yet the majority, perhaps the vast majority, are unaware, or think it is just something to do with a virus that has killed about one in a thousand British people (and even fewer worldwide)…

Fabricant, of course, is a Jew, and was at one time an employee or agent of SIS.

British foreign aid cuts

There is a case for foreign aid. It rests, in its purest form, on charity or compassion, just like social welfare, free medical care etc in the UK domestic context. In less obviously pure form, foreign aid can be regarded as an incident of “soft power” and diplomacy.

Having said that, much foreign aid is misapplied, wasted, or stolen. I could give examples from my own overseas experience.

On BBC TV News, I saw today some woman talking (from her own rather comfortable-looking home) about the recent decision to further cut foreign aid. She was one of the directors of the long-established charity, Save the Children, which —subject to correction— I think was founded in or at the end of the First World War.

Some reading this may recall that, after the Jo Cox assassination in 2016, it came to light that the husband of that MP, the (I always thought, seeing him on TV etc) rather thuggish Brendan Cox, was exposed as a sex pest and quasi-rapist. Well, what interested me more was the fact that (if I recall aright), as something like third in command of Save the Children, Brendan Cox was being paid something like £200,000 pa. Not bad for someone with a very underwhelming academic and other background. Worse, the actual head of Save the Children was getting over £300,000 (in fact, from memory, it was nearly £400,000).

Not that I think that the head of a large organization, even a charitable one, should not be paid decently or even well, bearing in mind the skills required and responsibility held, but all the same it sits unpleasantly to see people donating pennies, or hard-scrabbled pounds, while the fat cats at the top of the tree get hundreds of thousands of pounds (and expenses) every year.

The world of international aid charities is a rotten borough. I once met a woman who was getting very well paid indeed (the equivalent of maybe £100,000 a year in today’s money), for about 2-3 days a week working for DFID as a “consultant”; she had some academic job as well. She told me that she had even been offered more money, about double, working for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization [FAO] in Rome. Her job title? [would be] “expert in food poverty”!

There’s something unclean about all that. Carpetbagging hypocrisy.

The latest news (as yet unconfirmed) about the persecuted satirist and singer is that her appeal against conviction and sentence will take place on 13 August 2021. As said, this is as yet unconfirmed. The appeal had been set down for the two days of 3-4 June 2021, but was adjourned at the request of the Crown. It may be that the appeal will now be more narrowly focussed, i.e. focussed on strictly legal arguments, and that that is why it seems now to be set down for only one day.

In the past, little happened in the courts in August, but that was then.
