An enemy of the British people

Madeline Odent's home in Hertfordshire was visited by police on Wednesday, following a series of tweets she sent on Tuesday explaining how household chemicals can destroy some statues
[above: Madeline Odent]

Police arrived at the home of an Oxford-educated museum curator last night after she tweeted a guide on how to use domestic chemicals to destroy bronze statues in the wake of recent Black Lives Matters protests.

Madeline Odent, the privately schooled curator of Royston Museum in Hertfordshire, sent an inflammatory series of tweets last night to her 5,164 followers, which was then shared thousands of times.

In the posts, the American-born banker’s wife revealed how to dissolve bronze statues, saying that the damage would be ‘irreversible’ and ‘practically impossible to stop’.” [Daily Mail]

A Jewess tweets support for the criminal Odent:

Quelle surprise. The gravediggers of our European heritage.

A war is coming, which may be in part a race war, but is really better considered as a culture war. The above Daily Mail report makes it clear that the woman featured has, in effect, declared war on the people of Britain and on all white Northern European culture and civilization.

There are many like her in the UK, often in privileged or influential positions. They think that they themselves are immune, protected by wealth, privilege and a police force which now often seems to have inbuilt bias towards affluent yet anti-British persons.

Many are asking when the police or government will act properly to protect these vestiges of our proud history. The answer is— probably never, because Westminster has fallen, the mainstream media have fallen (long ago), the police have fallen, the whole edifice of society is at least falling, and soon it will be up to the British people to take the necessary actions, those actions that “established authority” has quite deliberately decided not to take, to protect our culture, civilization and future.

Black Lives Matter and 'slave owner' were among the phrases daubed on the statue of Queen Victoria in Woodhouse Moor Park in Leeds before being removed today.

Who or what is behind the war on white people and our history?

Not the blacks, who are almost invariably incapable of organizing anything. No, you have to look to the Zionists and others embedded in the power structures. They are the ones who are using “Black Lives Matter” etc for their own purposes. Put another way, this is part of “The Great Replacement”, or to express the same idea in yet another way, “White Genocide”.

Not just the USA; the UK too. In fact all of Europe. The propaganda is incessant.

I am not exactly a fan of Katie Hopkins (or Churchill, for that matter), but her comments here are worth a hearing:

…and to shoplift with impunity, I suppose!

More seriously, resist facemasks, resist the petty tyrants trying to enforce “social distancing” etc. The virus has pretty much come and gone. The British people can now rise up and cast off their shackles. Only then can they fight in the upcoming culture wars.

Interesting

The patience of the British people is not inexhaustible: https://www.iambirmingham.co.uk/2020/06/10/lynch-mob-mentality-coventry-two-black-youths-chased-crowd/

Labour chooses suicide

The Labour Party thinks that all it has to do to win a general election is to wait for Boris-idiot and his government of fools to mess up. Well, there is some basis for that, as witness the latest opinion polling, but it is probably more accurate to say that the two parties are converging in the polls, but that all that is happening is that the Conservative Party is reverting to a slight lead over Labour.

When one looks at Labour Friends of Israel Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner bending the knee in fealty to the anti-British mob, it becomes impossible to see them as leading a government.

The Conservative Party did not win the 2019 General Election; Labour lost it. See below:

[above: voter migration 2017-2019]

In 2019, the misnamed “Conservatives” did not gain many voters (contrary to the msm narrative); their vote increased by only one percentage point vis a vis 2017. Labour, however, lost eight points vis a vis 2017. Half of those Labour losses were former Labour voters simply abstaining.

A major reason why Labour failed in 2019 is because very many English and Welsh people thought of it as anti-white. I doubt that Labour can get back from that. Politics is becoming polarized, partly on racial lines but more on racial-cultural lines.

The present government is plainly incompetent, but I doubt that Labour can persuade the voters that it can be trusted either.

My conclusion from the above is that the British people are crying out for social-national leadership, though largely unconsciously.

The latest UK censorship news…

https://twitter.com/Periander_Smith/status/1271190528638562304?s=20

Idiots like Piers Morgan start balls rolling but then find out that they keep rolling and end up doing damage all over the place. The msm talking heads, “our” corrupt and stupid MPs, the “celebrity” idiots, all bowing down to the black/brown mobs and “antifa” thugs, and all bending the knee in sign of fealty to the forces of evil destruction….where do they think this will end, this thing that they themselves have triggered? Either in the destruction of our civilization or in the destruction of the inferior elements in it.

That’s (((their))) idea. It’s called “The Great Replacement” and, if carried out, will be the end of everything decent in Western culture and civilization in the end…

Below, today’s thick Irish tweet of the day:

and a notorious Jew twitter troll (below) thinks that “the answer” is to “edit out” the word “nigger”… In the immortal words of Mandy Rice-Davies, “well, he would, wouldn’t he?”

Yes, let’s censor Fawlty Towers because one character in one episode uses one arguably undiplomatic word once or twice. Because the BBC now would never use offensive words…oh, no, wait…

Of course, anyone emigrating from the UK now is giving up the struggle against the untermenschen and barbarians…

The next few years (2020-2027) can be compared to the period 1987-1994. Huge changes.

The Tim Montgomeries of this world never quite awaken to what is behind manifestations such as the “bending knee” nonsense promoted by UK/USA msm, politicians, “celebrities” etc. (((NWO/ZOG))).

The “Tim Montgomeries” of this world regard events such as the tearing down of white Northern European history as just…events. Nothing behind it all. A kind of unplanned, unexpected wave of events, akin to a car crash. No, monsieur Montgomerie! Wake UP!

Wake up to the ZOG conspiracy that is behind this. Evil hiding in plain sight.

Oh, and, Montgomerie, forget this meaningless “right/left” idea. The true basis is European v. non-European.

As far as the UK is concerned, Coronavirus is now almost in the past. What is not in the past is the damage done (by “lockdown”/shutdown) to the economy. To say that is not to prioritize “money” before “people”. Countries without functioning economies cannot maintain sophisticated or even adequate health services (and if you think that Cuba proves otherwise, look more closely at Cuba).

Mandela statue

“What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander”, it is said. There is a possibility that the “freedom-fighter” will have his statue in London relocated to the bottom of the Thames soon.

I should imagine that, overall, Nelson Mandela did a great deal more harm in this world than the Bristol merchant and slave-trader Edward Colston.

In fact, this morning I heard some typical BBC Radio 4 propaganda piece about Robben Island, where Mandela was incarcerated after having been found guilty, in the 1960s, of plotting to start a race war in South Africa: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robben_Island

The BBC drone or guest broadcast that he himself had visited Robben Island, which he said is 7 miles off the coast (it’s 4 miles, but I suppose that I may have misheard kilometres as miles).

Robben Island Village
[above: Robben Island Village on Robben Island, South Africa]

By the way, when Mandela, who had been (somewhat) educated as a lawyer, turned to direct political violence in the mid-1950s, he was no naive young man. He was nearly 40 years old. In fact he failed his LLB (law degree) three times and only finally passed it in 1988, when he was a celebrity prisoner aged 70.

Incidentally, Mandela was not sent to Robben Island for “political activism”, but for conspiring to start a race war and for conspiring to commit sabotage etc. In the UK today, he would be convicted of terrorist offences on similar facts.

Most of the defence advocates for the several defendants were Jews.

At the end of the trial (which took 8 months), Mandela was allowed to make a 3 hour speech! Try that in a British court! So much for Mandela having been chucked into prison after an unjust show trial…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivonia_Trial

In fact, Mandela was moved from Robben Island in 1982 to another prison, where he had his own quarters and was given medical care at a high level (including a prostate operation at a hospital). Later, he was moved again, and lived in a house inside that prison. He even had his own cook! Hardly the GULAG archipelago…

Mandela’s 70th birthday in July 1988 attracted international attention, including a tribute concert at London’s Wembley Stadium that was televised and watched by an estimated 200 million viewers.[190] Although presented globally as a heroic figure, he faced personal problems when ANC leaders informed him that Winnie had set herself up as head of a gang, the “Mandela United Football Club”, which had been responsible for torturing and killing opponents—including children—in Soweto.” [Wikipedia]

I shall be interested to see whether Mandela’s statue in Parliament Square, London, is taken down by action directe.

Perplexing

Saw tweets from a very biased, anti-British, anti-white, academic historian (and now author), but what perplexes me is the reference here:

I had previously assumed (for several reasons) that this person must be Jew or part-Jew (despite the “Irish” surname), but this tweet puzzled me.

Admittedly, I am probably not very deeply informed about Jewish dietary rules (they call them kashrut), but my understanding is that oats, being vegetable, are what Jews call parev, i.e. neither dairy produce nor meat.

Surely “milk” made from oats is still parev, however like real milk it is? In any case, I had thought that anything parev could be eaten with either meat or dairy produce, so long as those two were themselves not mixed. I expect that I am missing something (or was the tweet a kind of joke?). (and why am I wasting time on this? I think that I need some breakfast myself…).

For those blissfully unaware of the existence of the above individual, she is “Lecturer in Twentieth-Century British History, Equality and Diversity Officer, World Histories Convenor“: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/history/about/staff/clr1y14.page and here are a couple of her recent tweets:

I read that the “Black Lives Matter” demonstration (anti-white semi-riot) planned for tomorrow (Saturday) has been called off because (real) British counter-demonstrators have been massing. Or as the traitorous Daily Mirror puts it, “Black Lives Matter protest in London’s Hyde Park cancelled over far-right fears“. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/black-lives-matter-protest-londons-22180297

For my account of my own “voluntary” (involuntary) encounter with the Essex Police, see below: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/

Now (Friday evening) I have just heard Cressida Dick, Common Purpose member and Commissioner of Metropolitan Police, say that those [i.e. “Black Lives Matter” non-whites and “Antifa” idiots and thugs] planning to come to London tomorrow to “protest” [i.e. deface and/or tear down statues of historical personalities] should not come to London because there are those “intent on disorder” [white British people —mainly, overwhelmingly— intent on defending their history, culture and civilization from untermenschen and/or the mob].

The inference is clear: the Metropolitan Police Commissioner is basically on the side of the mob, of the untermenschen, of the traitors. The mob are those merely “protesting”, the defenders of Britain are those “intent on disorder”. She just wants the “de-legitimizing” of the British people —and European bloodlines— to be done without [white] “disorder”…

The ordinary police are just tools, and are under the command now of subversives posing as “senior police officers”.

Peter Hitchens: “A combination of fiery Leftism and Ukip-type patriotism could be the very thing to sweep away the So-Called Conservative Party which represents nothing except the careers of its MPs and the interests of its donors” [Peter Hitchens, Daily Mail]

As usual, Hitchens gets it half-right… Britain does not want or need UKIP-style fake “patriotism” but true social-nationalism. Oh, and ditch that fake “left/right” stuff, that was outworn even before the Second World War.

Where Hitchens is at least on the right track is in noticing that the new revolutionary party (if one emerges) and its victory can be, I hope will be, both social and national; it needs to be both.

This made me laugh:

BBC World Service

The World Service was so good in the 1970s, 1980s, but is now pretty much unlistenable. Politically correct, with ignorant presenters, and all run (quite obviously) on a shoestring.

Oh, well, time to say goodnight. Goodnight England…

Diary Blog, 10 June 2020

First thoughts

I was going to talk about the mob rule which is being nourished and encouraged in the UK, but I have already said a lot about that (yesterday and also the day before), so I am going to talk about something else.

Several years ago, there was a plague of flying ants where I lived. They were the kind of fairly large insects that seem to emerge from cracks in walls etc, crawl for a while, then later take to the air. They bite (or sting) too, sometimes. They bit or stung our cats, I seem to remember.

There were, at first, thousands of them. An army of insects.

I hate killing things, for ethical or spiritual reasons, and also because I am not by nature violent, callous, cruel or bloodthirsty.

Had there been some way of capturing, and later releasing, the insects, I should have taken that path. As it was, there was no alternative. They had to go. They had to be eliminated. They were. It was not pleasant, but it had to be done. It was done. My modest residence was saved from being taken over by the creatures.

Well, there it is. An anecdote, perhaps not very interesting, but one which I wanted to relate, because those events happened at this time of year.

I suppose that those events were in my mind because of that, meaning because they happened at the same time of year, in early Summer…

More censorship…

Little Britain has been removed from NetflixBBC iPlayer and BritBox amid concerns that the use of blackface characters on the series is no longer acceptable.” [Daily Mail]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-8402623/Little-Britain-removed-Netflix-BBC-iPlayer-BritBox-blackface.html

I am not very familiar with Little Britain, mainly because I was living mostly in France when it was popular on TV (also because I am not a big watcher of comedy), but there is nothing wrong with so-called “blackface” anyway!

Where will this self-flagellating nonsense end?

Something like The Black and White Minstrel Show is now regarded as bad or even evil! In fact, it is just lighthearted entertainment. It might not be my own favourite kind of TV show, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_and_White_Minstrel_Show

This is not an isolated act. It is part of a global plot by sinister forces:

I’m going to bring down the U.S.A. by funding B.L.M. We’ll put them into a mental trap & make them blame the white people. The B.L.M. community is the easiest to manipulate.” – George Soros, September 2014.

Now add to that “and subvert the cultural and historical foundations of their society...” (and, in the UK, the police force!)

Coronavirus

At last, some reality from a Government spokesperson: “a child has as much chance of dying from Coronavirus as of being struck by lightning.” Quite. Until now, there has been the lie officially spread that “everyone can get it”, which, though true in itself, is disingenuous, inasmuch as a child certainly might get infected but if so will almost certainly be entirely unaware of it, completely asymptomatic, whereas a 90-year-old has at least some chance of requiring hospital treatment and possibly even dying, especially if he or she has “co-morbidities” (other health problems).

Bristolian and other statues

In fact, I do have one thing to add.

Happened to see a brief minute or two of some dim black woman, apparently the founder of “Black Lives Matter” in the UK, being interviewed by Kay Burley on Sky News this morning. It was asked as to whether she thought that it would be OK to leave controversial statues but put an explanatory plaque nearby. The black woman answered that it might be better to remove the statues but still have a plaque. So have a plaque explaining a statue which is not even there…

When you see many black people interviewed, or just talking, you realize why black-ruled countries are always in a state of complete chaos. They just cannot organize their thoughts properly, in almost all cases.

Good news from China (for once)

Tweets seen recently on various topics

So the censorship gathers pace. Superficially, the discontent of some blacks may seem to be at the root of it, but in reality the Jewish element, or part of it, is behind this.

This summer, a department at the University of Sheffield sent an email to students. A group of them had complained about their marks for an end-of-year essay. While a few had received Firsts, these students were given 2:2s and Thirds. “Thank you for raising the issue,” began the email, “and thank you also for your patience.” After reflection, the head of department and the director of “learning and teaching” had decided that, “our normal procedures… failed us. For this we apologise unreservedly”. The department had decided to “uplift all the marks… less at the top and more at the bottom”. The poorly performing students had their marks raised by nearly 40 per cent. The few who had done well saw their marks barely change. “Again, our apologies,” the message concluded, “but we hope that this is a satisfactory resolution.”

What happened at Sheffield is one part of a national story: the great university con…” [The New Statesman]

Well worth reading. This has been a developing scandal for over 20 years, if not 30 years. Huge numbers going to “uni” (often to the Uni of Nowhere), racking up student debt which will, in most cases, never be repaid, wasting national economic resources, the proud graduates then often being unable to find jobs beyond the most basic.

The proportion of students getting “good honours” – a First or 2:1 – has leapt from 47 to 79 per cent: at 13 universities, more than 90 per cent of students were given at least a 2:1 last year. And Oxbridge is leading the charge: 96 to 99 per cent of its English, history and languages students get “good honours”.“[The New Statesman]

Those are inflated grades from already-inflated grades. As recently as the 1980s, it was the norm for most students to get a 2:2. Tony Blair did…

Among the most culpable? Tony and indeed Cherie Blair, who promoted all this by making it easy to get McDegrees.

“This supposed university miracle can only have happened in one of three ways. The first is that schools have, over the past 30 years, supplied universities with students of a far higher calibre than in the recent past. This would be a notable achievement, as the university students of the past were the select few –In the 1970s and 1980s between 8 and 19 per cent of young British adults went on to higher education, whereas 50 per cent now do. The second is that universities have taken historically indifferent students and turned them into unusually capable graduates. And the third is the reality: the university miracle is a mirage.” [The New Statesman]

And see here:

As schools have become ever more rigid and exam-driven, the contagion has spread. As one Russell Group professor, wary of being named, puts it: “In schools now, students are being virtually spoon-fed, and that is feeding through.

Students are not taught to read, quickly and critically, and to communicate their ideas,” seconds Jones. “These most fundamental things are not being taught in schools. When we ask them to write, they are incredibly disorientated. And the students who are prepared are incredibly frustrated.” [The New Statesman]

and

““Ideas that students readily understood ten to 15 years ago, they struggle to understand today,” Peter Dorey, professor of British politics at the University of Cardiff, told the Commons inquiry in 2009. “Many of them are semi-literate.” Dorey described seminars in which students sat listlessly, waiting to be told how to “pass our exams”. “They will brazenly admit to having read nothing…” [The New Statesman]

You see that on Twitter, in the outpourings of the younger “journalists” even in mainstream newspapers, on TV too and in the legal profession as well: people unable to think, who just want to be told, for example, “This is Good, That is Bad, and Ian Millard is a ‘Neo-Nazi’ who (therefore…) is Very Bad.” And so on. I noticed it after I was disbarred for socio-political reasons in 2016: the tweets from ignorant little law student and pupil-barrister wannabees, all wanting to be seen to be condemning me. In fact, all that they have done is to condemn themselves.

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/

According to their study, one in five graduates in England could not handle literacy tasks more complicated than understanding the instructions on a packet of aspirin, while the numeracy level of 28 per cent was limited to estimating the fuel left on a petrol gauge.” [The New Statesman]

I doubt that this terrible situation will be sorted out any time soon. It suits too many people:

  • the students (“she is a straight-A student who got a First from Oxford”…not so impressive when you know that 50% of all the students get “Firsts” and 95%+ get either Firsts or Upper Seconds…) (and I deplore the “straight-A” Americanism, but that too is legion, now);
  • the parents;
  • the schools from which the students have come (“X% of our students go on to university”…);
  • the universities themselves (which can —and do— pretend that their results and standards are ever-improving);
  • the government (“our policies are working in education! 101% of students are now getting First-class degrees!”…etc).

Scandal, and the country is the poorer for it.

Diary Blog, 29 May 2020, including Thoughts About Unity Mitford

Unity Mitford

Unity Mitford by William Acton.jpg

Thinking about Unity Mitford, who died 72 years ago yesterday, some aspects of her life struck me especially.

This, below, struck me: both re Adolf Hitler’s very open daily schedule…and the fact that Unity sat near him for 10 months before being invited to join him!

She was obsessed with meeting Hitler, so she really set out to stalk him.

She set her mind on getting Hitler, and she discovered that Hitler’s movements could be ascertained. It’s one of the extraordinary things about Hitler’s daily life that he was so available to the public. You knew which café he’d be in, you knew which restaurant he’d be in, which hotel, and he would just go and meet people over sticky buns and cakes, and it was possible to meet him like that. And he was in the habit of eating in the Osteria Bavaria in Munich and she started sitting in the Osteria Bavaria every day. So he would have to come into the front part of the restaurant where there was this English girl.[4][5]

After ten months, Hitler finally invited her to his table, where they talked for over 30 minutes, with Hitler picking up her bill.” [from Channel 4 documentary, Hitler’s British Girl, published in Wikipedia]

We often see “documentaries” (incredibly biased and basically Jewish-Zionist propaganda), or lying “history” in the “Lugenpresse/Judenpresse“, to the effect that Hitler was always afraid of assassination, took huge security measures etc, but here, even in such a film (on Channel 4, no less), the producers are so keen to traduce Unity Mitford that they forget to lie about Hitler himself, for once!

True, and after a number of failed assassination attempts, Hitler’s security was improved from the mid-1930s, and more so during the Second World War itself, but he himself was a fatalist, who believed both in Fate (Schicksal) and in his own personal fate and destiny.

Unlike Stalin, Hitler was not afraid of the people that he ruled or, rather, in Hitler’s case, led.

That snippet about how Unity Mitford met Hitler does show her extreme persistence: to sit in a cafe-restaurant every or almost every day for nearly a year in order to be in close proximity to Hitler shows a devotion which is very telling.

The fact that Hitler was able to let his whereabouts be known in advance to the public (and the regularity of his attendances in favoured places) shows that not only was Hitler unafraid of the people who put him into office, but that there were few who wanted to attack him. Here was an assassin’s dream target, someone who lets his whereabouts be known in advance, and who often goes to the same places day after day, yet sits safely amid the German people.

The few assassination attempts of later years were perpetrated by Jews and/or Communists and/or persons of disordered mind, until the British Intelligence organizations tried their hand in 1939 and during the War itself. They failed, though (typically).

What also struck me is the synchronistic nature of it all: Unity Valkyrie were her names given at birth, a birth which took place in the small Canadian town of Swastika!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika,_Ontario

One must remember that that birth occurred in August 1914, long before the world knew of Hitler, the NSDAP, or the Third Reich. Hitler himself volunteered, in that same month, to enlist in the List Regiment of the Bavarian Army, the First World War having started about 5 weeks before.

The Swastika, in 1914, was an esoteric symbol in more ways than one. Most people in Europe would have been ignorant of its existence. As for the town of that name, its naming is lost in the mists of history.

[above: Swastika, Ontario, as it is today and, below, as it was in 1918]

Incredibly, the settlement of Swastika, Ontario, was not named by Unity’s father, who had an interest in one of the gold mines situated there (though not the nearby one which made Harry Oakes, much later murdered in the Bahamas, one of the richest men on Earth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Oakes

Unity’s father was David Freeman-Mitford; his father had been a Wagnerian, and personally acquainted with both Richard Wagner and Houston Stewart Chamberlain.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_Stewart_Chamberlain

Unity Mitford descended through the spheres to incarnate at Swastika and to be named Unity Valkyrie. In fact, her other name, Unity, also seems to me to be significant, symbolizing the union or alliance which might have been, but sadly never was, between two great empires, the British Empire and the new German Reich.

Every human being has personal attributes, personal flaws, characteristics arising or becoming manifest through their worldly ancestry, and the society and culture into which they incarnate. We must look beyond this to see the bigger picture.

This one made me laugh!

Reminds me of the “shopping riots” in England a decade ago. The trigger there was the “unfortunate” death of a black gangster in a “taxi” (gangster transport) at the hands of the London police. Soon thousands of (mainly) blacks and half-castes were roaming all over London stealing anything not nailed down, and burning down buildings at random.

The msm were careful to say “bands of white and black youths” because a few deracinated and useless white (ish) chavscums were there, amid the black mobs. As for “youths”, some were 40 or 50 years old (the Windrush generation? Just after that time?).

It is true that some of the American police are very forceful, and some are also trigger-happy (perhaps unsurprising now that many are trained by and in the manner of the Israel occupation forces “police”), but at the same time, the USA is very very different from the UK, something even those who holiday there fail to see (I myself am still nominally an attorney of the NY Bar, and in the past I lived in the USA on and off as well as travelling there on legal business —NJ, NY, SC and FLA). Some of its criminals are very vicious.

I like the photograph and the sentiment. As for the exact words, well “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”, per Oscar Wilde, and Griffin did have the decency to use quotation marks…

[above: Britain’s toytown police deal with a serious sunbathing incident on the South Coast]
[cf. Britain’s new poundland KGB, as seen in the arrests of Alison Chabloz, the satirical singer-songwriter, most recently arrested and mishandled only a week ago; a dozen goons invaded her bedroom; she was held for 8 hours before being released on “police bail”, her telephones etc taken from her for technical snoop purposes]

I should say that, not only is Hitchens right, but that it is almost inevitable. The “British” population (in fact I would call only about 2/3 “British” anyway) have shown themselves to be serfs at heart. Also, a decade ago they accepted without question the perceived “need” (which we now see was no “need” at all) for the poor, disabled, and unemployed to be brutalized, upset, put into destitution and, in some cases, starved to death, and all because they were somehow responsible for the world banking crash…and how did the “British” people know that? Because a part-Jap Friends of Israel MP called Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, a fraudster, embezzler and freeloader, said so, backed up by two Friends of Israel part-Jews, David Cameron-Levita and George Osborne, who had both lied their way into the centre of government.

Hitchens right again. The faith that “the plebs” have in the Government is in a way touching, though also pathetic. The manufactured fear of “the virus” (that in fact kills only about 1 in 2,000 of the population…) has translated itself into that pathetic reliance on what “the authorities” say, whether the person in “authority” is Boris-idiot (posing, ludicrously, as Prime Minister), little Matt Hancock (former tea boy at the Bank of England, now posing as Health Secretary), or the local toytown police, cruising around telling people not to sunbathe, use parks, or even drive cars or ride motorcycles to enjoy a drive somewhere on the empty (emptied) roads .

Woke tweet…

Those so blind that they will not see! The city is burning for three days, yet CNN calls these ghastly black riots “protests in Minneapolis”!

The Protocols of Zion and the British aristocracy

The Protocols are often described (by Jew-Zionists or those working for them) as “a forgery”. It would be more accurate to describe them as “literary fantasy” based on a matrix of fact. For example:

The aristocracy, who by right shared the labour of the working classes, were interested in the same being well-fed, healthy, and strong. We are interested in the opposite, i.e., in the degeneration of the Gentiles. Our strength lies in keeping the working man in perpetual want and impotence; because, by so doing, we retain him subject to our will and, in his own surroundings, he will never find either power or energy to stand up against us. Hunger will confer upon Capital more powerful rights over the labourer than ever the lawful power of the sovereign could confer upon the aristocracy.”
— Protocols; protocol 3.; Shanks’ translation

Under our auspices the populace exterminated the aristocracy which had supported and guarded the people for its own benefit, which benefit is inseparable from the welfare of the populace. Nowadays, having destroyed the privileges of the aristocracy, the people fall under the yoke of cunning profiteers and upstarts.”
— Protocols; protocol 3.; Shanks’ translation

It gave us the possibility among other things of playing the ace of trumps—namely, the abolition of privileges; in other words, the existence of the Gentile aristocracy, which was the only protection nations and countries had against ourselves. On the ruins of natural and hereditary aristocracy we built an aristocracy of our own on a plutocratic basis.”
— Protocols; protocol 1.; Shanks’ translation

Doesn’t that sound familiar? If it be said “but Britain (eg) still has an aristocracy“, my answer is “does it?“. What is called an aristocracy in the UK is in fact something fake, or 90% fake. Look at the “British aristocracy” and you find that most titles only go back to the first quarter of the 20th Century. Not to Richard the Lionheart. Not even Elizabeth I. Not even, the vast bulk of them, George III, nor even Victoria!

It is well-known that the majority of British hereditary titles date only from the 20th Century. Many were conferred as a result of bribery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maundy_Gregory#Selling_honours

Indeed, quite a few “aristocrats” in the UK today not only have a considerable admixture from the Americas, but even outright Jewish elements. One example is the family that own Highclere Castle, the place used in Downton Abbey. In fact, the old Lord Carnarvon, the 6th Earl, was rather proud of his part-Jew background (a quarter, but possibly half) and referred to it more than once in his amusing and sensationalist memoirs.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Herbert,_6th_Earl_of_Carnarvon

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Herbert,_5th_Earl_of_Carnarvon#Family

Even leaving that aside, we see that the title goes back only to 1793 (though the family had lesser or other titles since the 17th Century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_of_Carnarvon#Earls_of_Carnarvon,_first_creation_(1628) ); and that family is older than most…

Take another example, the Duke of Westminster. The present Duke, one of the richest men in Britain, is the 7th Duke. The dukedom only goes back to 1874! The family did have titles before that date, but the first was only granted in 1622 and was merely a (bought for cash) baronetcy.

There is a Jewish element there too:

The [6th] Duke of Westminster married Natalia Ayesha Phillips, the daughter of Lt-Col. Harold Pedro Joseph Phillips and his wife Georgina Wernher, in 1978.” [Wikipedia]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_of_Westminster

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Wernher

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgina_Kennard

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Grosvenor,_6th_Duke_of_Westminster

Ironically, the 2nd Duke was obsessed with the Jewish infiltration into the aristocracy, a fact noted by his estranged Duchess in her autobiography:

During the run-up to World War II, he supported various right-wing and anti-Semitic causes, including the Right Club. “His anti-Semitic rants were notorious,” according to a biographer of Coco Chanel.[15] In her book The Light of the Common Day, Lady Diana Cooper reminisces back to 1 September 1939. She and her husband, the prominent Conservative Duff Cooper, were lunching at London’s Savoy Grill with the Duke of Westminster. She recalls:[16] “when he [the Duke of Westminster] added that Hitler knew after all that we were his best friends, he set off the powder-magazine. “I hope,” Duff spat, “that by tomorrow he will know that we are his most implacable and remorseless enemies”. Next day “Bendor”, telephoning to a friend, said that if there was a war it would be entirely due to the Jews and Duff Cooper.”

The Duke, known for his pro-German sympathies, was reportedly instrumental in influencing his former mistress, Coco Chanel, to use her association with Winston Churchill to broker a bilateral peace agreement between the British and the Nazis.[17] It was in late 1943 or early 1944 that Chanel and her current lover, Nazi espionage agent Baron Hans Gunther von Dinklage, undertook such an assignment. Code named “Operation Modellhut”, it was an attempt through the British Embassy in Madrid, via Chanel, to influence Churchill, and thereby persuade the British to negotiate a separate peace with Germany. This mission as planned ultimately met with failure, as Churchill had no interest.” [Wikipedia]

It has died a death where I live, but then it never really got off the ground here anyway. What a stupid ritual…

Hitchens tweeting in support of the legal challenge to the probably unlawful “lockdown” toytown dictatorship. Glad to see that that fund has almost reached its goal (it’s about 80% attained), but the real challenge to the “lockdown” is already slowly happening, inasmuch as the English people (and Scottish and Welsh? the Scots seem a poor lot these days) are (as I predicted about 2 months ago) slowly simply ignoring the restrictions.

There is no mass march against the “lockdown” but public pressure, via gradual ignoring of the Boris-idiot “rules”, has now pressured the Government of idiots into giving way, though wanting to make it seem that Boris-idiot, his Cabinet of clowns and the toytown police are “really” still in charge.

That public pressure has come from more and more people waking up to the nonsense of “lockdown”, though the majority have still not thought through this: “hey, if only 1 person in every 2,000 dies from the virus, then I’m probably going to be OK even if I get infected“.

That of course is all the more true for anyone under 60. Small children have a —something like— 15 million to 1 chance of dying from it. Even people in their thirties have a tiny chance of dying from it. All the more so now that the virus has peaked (and may have peaked in early April!).

As a result of all this, people are not protesting, or marching, or even writing angry emails to “their” MPs. What they are doing is going out whenever they feel like it to wherever they want. The only problem is that hardly anything is open. If shops and cafes were open, millions would be flocking to them (until the money runs out, which for many may not be far away).

The Government (of idiots) is not in charge of anything. The whole thing is a gigantic con-trick.

“Britain’s policy on coronavirus has clearly been disastrous. The press might trumpet America’s 100,000 deaths. But America is a big country and, on the most sensible generalised measure of “excess deaths per million”, Britain’s rate is not just three times America’s but possibly the worst in the world, at 890 against American’s roughly 250. Even its deaths per million are higher than America’s

Johnson and Hancock remain in denial over the apparent reasons for this, that thousands of Britons appear to have died after being ejected or turned away from NHS hospitals, either dumped into care homes or having vital operations postponed. Thousands more may have died at home, through being terrified by Johnson into not seeking hospital care at all.”

This saga is approaching its end and there must be a reckoning. Perhaps some lives have been saved by lockdown. If so, it is strange that countries that rejected it, from Sweden to Taiwan, have seen a lower death rate than Britain. Meanwhile the longer lockdown lasts, the faster its cost rises towards the staggering total of £200bn. How many lives might that have saved?

With budget deficit now predicted to reach 17% of GDP, Britain now faces a double humiliation: the world’s highest coronavirus death rate and the worst resulting economic collapse. Johnson likes blood-curdling “worst-case scenarios”. Mine is that this will prove to be Britain’s most catastrophic and costly policy failure in modern times.

I agree with all of that. Boris-idiot and “financial genius and future PM” Rishi Sunak will now march the plebs —for whom they have nothing but contempt— into the valley of the shadow, “ably” assisted by little Matt Hancock (if he survives in Cabinet).

And the idiots, some of them, will probably still be standing outside their homes, clapping…

Still, this ludicrous misgovernment might just lead to a social-national upsurge by 2022 and, by Grace of God, victory in the end.

Diary Blog, 23-24 May 2020

The day started well enough: kefir, boiled pullet eggs, brown seeded toast with Cornish butter, lettuce. It went downhill when I saw a Daily Mail online report about ghastly Amber Rudd.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8349449/What-ex-Home-Secretary-Amber-Rudd-really-thinks-29-year-old-daughters-public-sex-life.html

When Amber Rudd was an active politician and MP [Con, Hastings and Rye 2010-2019], I despised her as a “Conservative” who voted for all the callous and cruel “welfare” spending cuts measures of the David Cameron-Levita government, as well as those continued by the Theresa May government.

Amber Rudd, who may be part-Jew on the paternal side, was totally in the pocket of the Jewish-Zionist lobby as MP:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/topic/amber-rudd/

https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/amber-rudd-accuses-labour-of-baiting-jews-with-hateful-language/

https://www.thejc.com/comment/comment/community-s-green-light-for-amber-rudd-1.53075

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/30/amber-rudd-pledges-134million-guard-every-jewish-school-college/

https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/amber-rudd-demands-jeremy-corbyn-suspend-local-labour-party-over-crying-wolf-antisemitism-motion

Theresa May and Amber Rudd added more repressions to the statute book, and started to ban political groups. Indeed, there are a number of mostly young people who are in prison today directly because of the activities of Amber Rudd.

I despised Amber Rudd for all of those activities, too.

Amber Rudd was married to unpleasant scribbler A.A. Gill (now deceased) and then involved with Kwasi Kwarteng MP [Con, Spelthorne], a one-time “African at Eton”, who eventually moved on to marry a (much younger) Amber Rudd lookalike.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-6957107/SEBASTIAN-SHAKESPEARE-Amber-Rudds-ex-Kwasi-Kwarteng-marry-City-lawyer-Harriet-Edwards.html

https://www.thehits.co.nz/spy/how-a-british-mp-managed-to-catch-her-husband-with-his-mistress/

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/amber-gives-green-light-to-suitors-hhn02r537

Rassenschande.

In fact, before she became an MP, Amber Rudd was involved with offshore financial manipulations which had a directly fraudulent and/or tax-evading basis:

https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2017/05/ambder-rudd-really-horrible/

These offshore and other companies were in fact owned, or partly-owned, by her own family. She was appointed director of one at age 24, having worked for what cannot have been more than a year, possibly two years, for J.P. Morgan in London and New York.

Like the CVs of so many MPs, Rudd’s is rather underwhelming when you look at it. Look at that of, eg, Iain Dunce Duncan Smith…

Those more or less faked CVs fool many, though. The Daily Mail writes this: “For many years, Amber worked as an investment banker before entering politics in 2010.” 1-2 years working for J.P. Morgan, and the rest of her pre-MP years working for her own family’s dodgy financial interests.

Finally, the nightmare of Amber Rudd as Home Secretary ended:

She later became DWP Secretary under Boris-idiot before resigning: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/07/amber-rudd-resigns-from-cabinet-and-surrenders-conservative-whip

After that, realizing that as a Remain partisan she had no political future at the age of 55, she declined to stand again for Hastings and Rye, where she was predicted to lose in 2019 anyway (though another Conservative Party candidate did win, in the end):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hastings_and_Rye_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2010s

Now it seems that Amber Rudd has two “consultancies” (well-paid sinecures, probably), one with Teneo, an organization which once had both Bill Clinton and Tony Blair on its advisory board:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teneo

A frankly disgusting woman, in every way. As for her daughter, I had never heard of her until today, but she seems to be yet another fake “journalist” (there are so many today; cf. Mike Stuchbery; cf. Tommy Robinson etc). Her “journalism” (as far as I have seen today via Google) consists of tweeting rubbish, together with scribbling occasional msm articles in a 1990s Sunday Times “Zoe Heller” way, a kind of first-person gossip style, with her family and her own daily life as content.

[since I posted the above, a reader writes, privately: “Unfortunately, the Internet is the perfect breeding ground for underbrained narcissists and exhibitionists like that Rudd daughter…you’re so right, just complete decadence…“]

Tweeters have taken to their keyboards. One here:

Hertz

The global car rental company, Hertz, has applied for bankruptcy protection in the USA and for the equivalent insolvency protection in the UK.

https://inews.co.uk/news/business/hertz-car-rental-company-files-bankruptcy-debt-2863120

Note to msm outlets: Do not say “firm” when you mean “company”, and do not say “bankruptcy” (re. UK companies) when you mean “insolvency”, “administration” or “liquidation” (in the UK, companies do not go “bankrupt“, they become “insolvent“)! I am probably wasting my time, though, bearing in mind the kind of “journalists” now scribbling (even the real ones)…

I have to say that I have only used Hertz once (in the Caribbean) and it was terrible: dishonest, rude, unhelpful. I switched to an excellent local family car rental place which was far better, though I was slightly scolded a couple of times by the matriarch in charge for having been seen driving from beaches in my swimming trunks, while sitting on a damp towel (which over time rots the seats, apparently).

Hey, look at that (above)! Anecdotal writing…Maybe I too could call myself a “journalist”! No…fakery like that is just not me…

More importantly, Hertz has 400 outlets, both branches and franchises, in the UK. I do not know how many, on average, work in each one, but maybe 10 in each, which would be 4,000 people’s jobs. Even if the figure is only 2,000, that’s still 2,000 more people on the dole, and maybe 10,000 people (family members etc) affected.

This is not looking good (I mean the whole or overall picture, not just Hertz). It is not mainly “the virus” that is causing this collapse in almost all sectors of the economy, but Government policy, and particularly the “lockdown” nonsense.

In Stalin’s day, and under his rule, the scientists who advised so negligently (such as that Imperial College professor, Ferguson) would have been tried and shot. Well, I do not necessarily advocate that, but that man and his colleagues have pretty much finished the UK as a major trading, touristic and manufacturing power, though the ultimate responsibility rests with the Cabinet of clowns, headed by the chief clown, Boris-idiot.

Prison Planet” Watson

If you needed any more reason to despise “Prison Planet” Watson, look below:

Whether one calls him “controlled opposition” or not, the fact is that someone like Watson is, at least politically, a waste of space. Where does his online ranting lead? Nowhere, though it may be argued that he keeps some people from falling asleep completely. For me, though, Watson is a kind of millennial Littlejohn.

Paul Golding and Tommy Robinson

Speaking of “controlled opposition”, I noticed that Paul Golding of Britain First was given a conditional discharge for failing to comply with Britain’s new poundland KGB police and their “anti-terror” remit.

Now I do not necessarily say that Golding and/or Britain First are consciously “controlled opposition”, but what can one think of a “party” that, after gaining hundreds of members (I believe that they claim or claimed 2,000+) did not (as far as I am aware) contest its “deregistration” as a party by the undemocratic Electoral Commission?

I was interested to read that Tommy Robinson was watching Golding’s trial at Westminster Mags last week. Birds of a feather?

You see, this is my problem about the “alt-Right” and the like: their strategy is not so much opaque as non-existent. Parties that cannot contest elections (because unregistered), movements without structure (eg the former EDL, or the “Football Lads’ Alliance”) and which lead nowhere, and leading personalities who are more like clan chiefs in Lebanon than European political leaders.

Who benefits from all this noise and clamorous nothingness? Britain needs a real social-national movement, even if it gets “deregistered” as a party able to contest elections, banned by the fake democracy in which we live. Elections are not the only fruit.

Ah well. This (below) made me laugh:

Good grief!…

A mosque at Piccadilly Circus? No…they cannot be serious…

Apropos of nothing

I saw a film this evening: Enigma. Better than average and better than expected. An absence of the usual Jew-Zionist anti-Hitler stuff (hence no Oscar! Arguably). Refreshing. Faction/fiction; only loosely based on actual events.

As a film, I enjoyed it; well-made, well-acted on the whole. I was interested to read that an Enigma machine seen was a real one owned by the producer, who was none other than Mick Jagger.

Obviously not a documentary-type of fiction or faction. The William and Mary “Bletchley Park” of the film was a far more classic place, architecturally, than the real Bletchley Park, a Victorian-Edwardian mish-mash.

A pretty good film (and it has the advantage of a John Barry score; I love John Barry’s unmistakeable music).

We have become muzzled, mouthless, voiceless, humiliated, regimented prisoners, shuffling about at the command of others, stopping when told to stop, moving when told to move, shouted at by jacks-in-office against whom we have no appeal.

In many cases, bodies supposed to stand up for us now lecture and browbeat us on behalf of the Government. But I think the worst thing of all has been the naked transformation of the police into a politicised state militia. I have had plenty of criticisms of the police before now, and take none of them back…their performance in this crisis has been deeply shocking and sad. They have acted as the agents of Ministers, openly taking one side in a political controversy, shouting angrily and menacingly at innocent citizens that they must go home and that, if they do not, they are ‘killing people’.

We are learning, during this induction period, to do what we are told and to become obedient, servile citizens of a new authoritarian State. We are unlearning the old rules of freedom.

All the things we used to take for granted now belong to the State, which can hand them back to us if we are good, and yank them away from us again if we are bad, or if it can think of an excuse.

And there will always be an excuse, a rise in the fictional ‘R’ rate, an ‘emergency’ that can be exaggerated into fear, whether it be a virus, a terror threat or even the new Middle Eastern war that I have long feared is coming.” [Peter Hitchens in the Daily Mail]

All the things we used to take for granted now belong to the State, which can hand them back to us if we are good, and yank them away from us again if we are bad, or if it can think of an excuse. A sign about the lockdown is pictured above in Pilsley

Britain 2020

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8351019/KATE-MANSEY-five-year-old-son-pain-decaying-molar.html

Britain 2020, a country in which a mother with a small child in pain cannot get to a dentist, even a private one, and is eventually “advised” by a dentist on the telephone to attempt a dental filling on her child herself!

This is the reality of the “lockdown” nonsense. People are suffering and, yes, in many cases dying, all because a crap government of Friends of Israel expenses cheats and frauds, “advised” by “scientists” who know nothing, have imposed on Britain a toytown police state patrolled by toytown police, its citizens’ opinions policed online and in real life (whatever “real life” now means) by a poundland KGB aided by a Twitter mob completely dominated, like the Government, by the Jew-Zionist element.

UK courts backlog

I dispute the “due to coronavirus”, though! Entirely because of this government’s absurd “lockdown” policy.

I seem to remember that, as a child in the early/mid 1960s, almost all my shoes and sandals came from Clark’s. Quite a few, anyway. One place, either Clark’s or the shoe department of a department store, had a radioactive machine into which you inserted a foot to see if the fit was OK. Banned now, of course. An interesting tweet by one Ed West, but why am I still surprised that a “deputy editor” and published author is apparently unaware that “motherlode” (also “mother lode”) is not spelled “motherload”? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_lode

I suppose that I should now be used to the ever-sliding standards in this country…

Looked the tweeter up on Wikipedia out of mere vulgar curiosity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_West_(journalist) and it turns out that he is the son of the once well-known foreign correspondent Richard West https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_West_(journalist) and the Irish columnist Mary Kenny https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Kenny.

I always wondered where Private Eye magazine got that term, “discussing Uganda“… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Kenny#%22Ugandan_discussions%22

If there ever was a pointless contest!…

True, I have been writing off the LibDems since the betrayals of 2010, but the trajectory remains downward.

Humpty-Dumpty LibDem was broken in 2010. Votes and seats slid in 2015 and then 2017 (though number of seats increased from 8 to 12 in 2017), though there was an upturn in 2019: over 3.5 million votes (an upturn of over 50%) but a decline in number of seats (from 12 to 11) thanks to the way the FPTP system and the boundaries of seats work in Britain (cf. 2017).

Looking into it a little more, it can be seen that the LibDems benefited a little from being the only 100% Remain party. Next time? I still think that the LibDems will be wiped out. Few of their MPs have a strong local following to set against the party-label vote swings. Also, what is the standout profile of the LibDems now? They have no real identity, it seems to me.

Surprisingly, the LibDem membership numbers are not unhealthy: over 120,000, it seems, which is in the same ballpark as the Conservative Party. However, that alone does not bring electoral success (cf. Labour, with perhaps 600,000 members).

I should expect the LibDems to decline further and perhaps to disappear, at least as an independent party.

Well, there it is. The print newspapers are mortally ill and maybe on their last legs. These screeds of rubbish have been declining in quality as long as I can remember. In the 1970s, the quality level was better by far. The old Daily Telegraph magazine, published on Fridays, contained serious reportage and interesting feature journalism: see

https://www.littlereddog.info/vintage-1970s-daily-telegraph-magazines-for-sale.html

Look at the Telegraph itself now! Uncritical Boris Johnson “Conservative” propaganda, and at an excruciatingly low intellectual level. Ironically, though, it was the Telegraph, in the 2005-2010 Parliament, that broke the MP expenses scandal, one of the most serious stories of the past half-century. It does say something about the UK’s “free Press”, though, that MP expenses were an open secret for years, certainly since 1997 and the corruption Blair brought into UK politics, yet were not investigated until the Telegraph decided to take it all seriously and to print.

In the 1970s, even some of the less-serious or less intellectual newspapers, such as the Sunday Express, sometimes contained interesting first-person accounts and so on.

Look at, say, The Times now! Pathetic and shallow “Conservative” and Zionist propaganda. As for the Sunday Times magazine, more or less what used to be called a “woman’s magazine“, full of ads and with little substance in its content.

I welcome the demise of the print newspapers and their fundamentally Zionist-contaminated agenda.

True, those newspapers all have an online presence now, but the Times and most of the Telegraph are behind a paywall and, like the others, have to compete for public attention with other sources of news, some of which are, mirabile dictu, not so (((infested and contaminated))).

Where I deviate from Hitchens in respect of the above is that the number of “lives blighted” should be at least 36,000, maybe as high as 90,000. Why? Most employees laid off have wives (or husbands), children too. Then there is the knock-on effect on the local retail sector as local purchasing power diminishes. Also, redundancies in the supply chain.

Not exactly surprising. There has been a Jewish coup in Labour, one over 4-5 years. Starmer is its figurehead. He is not a Jew, but is married to a Jewish woman (a lawyer) and their children are being brought up as Jewish…

I thought that the Jewish Chronicle had gone up the chimney. Seems not.

Alison Chabloz

I happened to see this rather inaccurate report about the Alison Chabloz case, which was heard two years ago:

https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0022018318792937?journalCode=clja

Despite being in the august pages of the Criminal Law Journal, the report, penned by one Laura Bliss of Edge Hill University in Lancashire [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_Hill_University] misdescribes (?) Alison Chabloz as “a holocaust revolutionist“! Well, if the cap fits, though “revisionist” was probably the term used in court. Ms. Bliss also mispells Elie Wiesel’s name as “Wiezel”. How about “weasel”?

Sadly, most of the report is behind a paywall.

Below: looks as though someone has woken up, at least…

My feelings exactly: Boris Johnson, Boris-idiot, completely out of his depth as Prime Minister, a part-Jew public entertainer, is turning the UK into a banana republic. It was already on the way there, but that idiot has made it official

Still, so what if he bunged one of his not-very-interesting-looking girlfriends a hundred grand or so out of public funds? Worse things happen in black Africa…oh, wait…

Seems that only 12% of people have really thought this through, while 47% are a panic-stricken mob.

Look at the graph below. Look at “actual impact”…

Nigel Farage

A complete busted flush. The man has the gall to continue whining about illegal migration (migration-invasion) to the UK, while having stabbed in the back his own party (parties, really, meaning both UKIP and Brexit Party) because he wanted to enable the victory of the misnamed “Conservative” Party, and (of as much importance for someone who is plainly another doormat for the Jewish lobby) the defeat of Corbyn’s Labour Party.

Of course, what he says about the invasion is true, but he carries no weight. It is partly because of his electoral manipulation that the present government has a large majority; thus a thick-as-two-short planks Ugandan Indian, Priti Patel, now sits, uselessly, as Home Secretary, doing nothing to stem the invasion (of which she herself and her parents were part, albeit in the wider sense).

and see here (below) a metropolis-based newspaper drone (columnist, deputy editor), one Sarah Baxter, laughing at concerns around the migration-invasion. Well, why should she worry? £500,000 a year (at a guess)? Large house or penthouse? Good neighbourhood(s)? Second home in the country?

Yes, he is right. Trust in the mass media, especially the BBC, is at rockbottom:

This is an organized and/or facilitated invasion of this country, an invasion by persons who have no connection with Britain, and who will be millstones round the neck of the people.

Anyone who supports the invasion in any way is treacherous.

This is, to be rather topical, like a foreign element entering an organism, breeding fast, and eventually killing the host.

Had to emerge from my cave to complete my appointed rounds. On the return journey, my less than contented mood was made worse as I went through a more or less suburban area, only to see some rabbits waiting at the end of their short drives or standing in gardens, about to participate in the State-promoted and socially-mandated “clapathon”. Not many, about one house out of about 20, I would say. Mostly very elderly, though there were a few odd children too. The sight of all the rabbits standing waiting, like robots, or serfs populating Potemkin villages, irritated me even more than it usually would.

Boris-idiot and the Chinese virus

Well, Boris Johnson’s shambolic amateur-night Churchill impression of yesterday has not exactly gone down a storm. I think that the infamous casting director who first rejected Richard Whiteley’s application had the right injunction: “Himoff!

Even that peculiar little “Misbegot”, Philip Schofield, is doing a Peter Finch “Network” reprise!

Yes?

In fact, the usually supine msm talking heads such as Schofield seem to be getting back a heady whiff of journalistic (or whatever) independence. Look at Piers Morgan, here tearing a strip off one of the barrow-boy “Conservative” MPs, former market gardener Andrew Bridgen [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Bridgen#Early_life_and_career]:

Reading some of the readers’ comments in, eg the Daily Mail, the public mood is now becoming unforgiving toward Boris-idiot and his Cabinet of fools. And that is before the furlough money tap is shut off…

Even the msm journalists are scathing toward “Boris” now. The only one I saw who is not critical was the ancient reactionary joke scribbler, Janet Daley, in the Telegraph.

I forecast after the 2019 election that, with Labour an irrelevance, any opposition to the “Boris” government of fools would come from within the Conservative Party itself. So it is proving to be.

The public too are now, too late, awakening to the horror of the full uselessness of “Boris” Johnson. Yet he can only be (lawfully) removed by his own MPs, and they are very unlikely to do that at this stage.

Tweets seen, etc

In one part of his mind, “Boris”-idiot knows that the Underground is the best incubator that the Chinese virus could ever find. Another part of “Boris”, however, imagines that all those workers that have to resume (or continue to) work in London can just hail a taxi! Or perhaps bicycle, or stroll, to their work, as do Oxford students en route to lectures and tutorials.

“Boris” should be told that London workers of all kinds do not all live in the purlieus of the Palace of Westminster, or bicycle from Mayfair or Belgravia. Some come in from as far away as Didcot, Diss, Margate and the Isle of Wight! Not to mention North Finchley, Epping, Morden and Ealing

The tweet below caught my attention mainly because it is typical of the times: semi-literate, yet the tweeter is apparently a writer who has written or broadcast for BBC, Sky News, Guardian, New York Times etc…

As I have blogged before, forcing the public to wear absurd facemasks or scarves round the mouth or face will not only not do much (if anything) to stop the Chinese virus, but will be the biggest boon the shoplifters and other criminals have had for years. Eyewitness and cctv evidence will become almost useless, and people will look rather alike in many cases, so facilitating petty (and perhaps also serious) crime.

Evening foray

So to Waitrose. The police, even in this quiet corner (with apologies to Gogol’s Dead Souls) seem to have become much more active. A police jeep saw me and, though ahead of me just before I turned from one road to another, circled around by another route so that the police were behind me after a minute or two. Being rather intuitive, I had guessed from the start that that is what he or they would do, but (having a clear licence and the car insured and MOT-compliant), I could not be bothered to outwit them. In the end, the police followed me all the way to Waitrose in the nearby town, but did not bother to stop me after I turned into the store car park. Still, a sign of the times…

As to Waitrose itself, no obvious shortage of anything and, as on my previous visit, few shoppers, though this time none wearing those pathetic masks or wound-round scarves.

Interesting tweet below, too!

and this (below):

“Furlough” scheme

The furlough payments scheme “should be extended”, it is said:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/12/extend-furlough-scheme-or-face-spiralling-job-losses-rishi-sunak-told

Why? It is not necessary once the absurd “lockdown” is lifted. The scheme costs £8 billion per month, almost as much as the entire NHS with its 2 million employees, which costs £11 billion a month.

It is suggested that the scheme might continue until September instead of end of June. Another £24 billion, almost as much as the wrongheaded HS2 project (in its entirety)! In fact, I would support the furlough extension if that meant that HS2 would be scrapped, but I doubt that ministers will do that. It would be too elegantly simple.

As for the idea floated around Westminster that employees might return part-time, and that the furlough payments be reduced accordingly, that idea would seem to have no logic at all behind it.

Kay Burley

I rarely bother with TV news these days. A kind of Soviet-style government mouthpiece, whatever the channel designation. However, I did see a few minutes of Sky News this [Tuesday] morning. Kay Burley interviewing Angela Rayner.

I do not have much time for Angela Rayner, but Kay Burley’s behaviour was extraordinary to those of us brought up to think that news presenters should be or at least seem “impartial”. To my mind, Kay Burley showed herself completely pro-Conservative Party, pro-Government. I am not talking about giving Angela Rayner a hard time as interviewee but Kay Burley simply shouting out her own opinions and refusing to leave open the possibility that the Government might have acted incompetently. In other words, she did not so much ask questions as demand that her view be accepted.

I have often seen Kay Burley cross the line into partisan territory. She was very hostile to Corbyn from 2015 to 2019, and totally in the pocket of the Jewish lobby; at least that was my strong impression. However, I always discounted the claims of Corbyn supporters that Kay Burley was biased in favour of the Conservative Party as such. No longer a question. She is.

Angela Rayner did try to remonstrate, mildly, with Kay Burley, about the latter’s behaviour in the interview, but to little effect. Indeed, Kay Burley hit back! This is what happens when fairly mediocre, not highly educated people, get jobs as news anchors, get paid a million a year or whatever, and then forget that they are only reporters or news facilitators, not active players. John Humphrys was another example.

Sanity breaks out here and there…

Coronavirus is not at epidemic levels in Britain, experts at Oxford University have said, with new figures showing that only a tiny proportion of the population is currently infected.

The latest data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggests that just 0.24 per cent of adults – approximately 136,000 people – have the virus. Separate surveillance by the Royal College of GPs indicates it may be even less.

Figures released last week showed just 0.037 per cent of people have the virus…” [Daily Telegraph]

Edwina Currie

Ghastly old Jewess Edwina Currie has apparently been on daytime TV, supporting the Government’s “policy” on “lockdown” etc. Poor Government!

https://twitter.com/lozhockers/status/1260106322701410304?s=20

https://twitter.com/BizPaul/status/1260106981609820161?s=20

Edwina Currie, like many Jews, especially women, “smiles”, or goes through the motions of what human beings do when they smile, when there is no actual reason to smile. I have never discovered why “they” do that. Like a nervous tic rather than any expression of humour or warmth.

As to Edwina Currie specifically, I remember well her overnight destruction of the UK egg market in 1988. My memory is not at all taxed. I remember that incident because I heard about it in specific circumstances that make it easy to recall. It was late at night and in December 1988, and I was at the Hotel Grand (now the Mercure Grand Warszawa) in Warsaw.

Ilustracja

I had just that evening arrived by train from Bielsko-Biala in the south of Poland. Outside, the snow lay heavy on the ground.

I turned on my radio and found the BBC World Service (which at the time was still worth listening to). The news from the UK had two main items: there had been a terrible train crash at Clapham, South London, with much loss of life; also, Edwina Currie, the government junior minister responsible for, inter alia, the egg industry, had said (wrongly) that most eggs in the UK were contaminated by salmonella. As a direct result of Edwina Currie’s mistake, 4 million hens were slaughtered.

Ain’t that the truth?!” [above]. Now, every Tom, Dick and Sharon has a “degree” from some place or other, quite many have a “Master’s”, involving a 1-year course, which no-one ever fails; in fact at Oxford and Cambridge you get a “Master’s” degree merely on payment of a small sum, with no course requirement, work, or dissertation required!

I am not making that up. In fact, I recall that my then girlfriend, in the 1980s, was sent a letter from Cambridge University warning her that if she wanted to be able to put “M.A.” after her name, she would have to pay (I think) £35, because the time limit was approaching (as I seem to recall). She had graduated around 1971. The limit must have been 10 or 15 years, if there was a limit. Maybe the University just wanted the money.

What a farce…

As for “academics”, “academia” in the wider sense is now full of fakes and simplistic ideologues such as the woman lecturer (I think from Southampton University), whose tweets I saw on Twitter recently, to the effect that books written by “Nazis” should be burned. These are among the gravediggers of European civilization. They must be stopped.

There are numerous “doctors” of this or that (esp. on Twitter) who actually use the title, despite not being medical doctors, academics in any formerly-accepted sense, or persons in either holy orders or scientific institutes. Infra dig, but that is what Britain today is like: just a bad joke.

Despite official figures (quite possibly inflated) showing that 30,000 or so people have died “of” (with) Coronavirus, i.e. about one person out of every 2,000 in the UK, and that only about 4 people (if that) out of every 10,000 are presently infected, the public panic has scarcely abated. Fear has been spread (by the Government, the Opposition, the NHS lobby, the msm etc), and it is now proving hard to rein back on that.

The “Great Replacement” continues…

This is key, but it is actually alarming that so many people, including those with “degrees” and recognized professional qualifications cannot see it. I had smoked salmon for breakfast this morning, and the weather became less cloudy. I do not imagine that the weather became less cloudy because I had smoked salmon for breakfast. It would have happened whether I had smoked salmon, devilled kidneys or raspberry pop-up tarts. cf. “lockdown” and Coronavirus.

Rishi Sunak and furlough

Sunak has extended the “furlough” scheme until October. A remarkable decision, and I think the wrong one. The right decision would have been to open up the economy completely or almost completely from this week or certainly by the end of the month.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52634759

What has now been done is to say to at least 7 million employees and self-employeds, “stay on holiday until the Autumn” on what amounts —for many of them— on full pay, once the costs of simply being employed are taken away (eg transport to and from work).

Yes, others are “working from home”, either actually or notionally, while yet others are, whether as “key workers” or not, still working normally. However, a quarter of the total workforce are now as good as economically inactive until October or even November. The economic fallout will be massive, as will be the upfront costs of “furloughing” all those people: £8 BN x 7 months = £56 billion.

As Lord King, the former Governor of the Bank of England said today, the economy will not be damaged as much by the furlough programme costs (if only because the cost of State borrowings is very low at present and can be spread over long future periods) as it will be by the fact that a quarter of the workforce is not doing anything productive, and because companies on the edge before the “virus” struck are now insolvent but kept in suspended animation by “furlough” monies to employees, loans to companies from the State, and rent holidays (and/or suspension of rent default proceedings in the courts).

The furlough payments will keep up demand to a certain extent, but only to a certain extent, in that payments are capped at £2,500 per month.

The effect on the currency is as yet unknown. Other European (and yet other) countries have similar schemes, so there may well be relativity, but eventually the pound sterling must fall vis a vis most other currencies, thus fuelling inflation in the UK.

I have seen inflation of that type. It has political effects. I am not talking about the utterly mad hyperinflation of Germany in 1923 but a lesser, yet still fast, inflation. When I first went to Poland in 1988, the taxi drivers had a little sticker by the meter. You paid a multiple of what the meter said. When I was there in Summer 1988 (for a couple of months), the stickers read “x2” and then “x4”. When I returned, a few months later, the stickers read “x8”, then “x12”. The following year, the year when the whole Soviet and Eastern European socialist system started to collapse visibly, the stickers read “x40” and then, I think, “x200″…

For a foreigner (what some Germans of the post-WW2 occupation of Berlin called, in a mix of English and Russian, a “valuta vulture” , “valuta” being the Russian for “foreign currency”), the collapse of the Polish zloty in the late 1980s had selfish positive effects: I for example could take a taxi to whatever passed for a good hotel (when I was first in Poland, I was not staying in hotels), have a breakfast, get a taxi onward, and pay (including tips) about £1 or £2 for breakfast and taxis combined. That was not much even in 1988.

Anything produced in Poland could be bought for pennies in English or American currency. For example, I bought a few Polish vinyl records of symphonic music for about 10p or 20p each.

The drawback was that very little was for sale anyway. The usual local shops were not well-stocked. Anything imported had to be bought at hard-currency-only “PEWEX” (pron. “Pevex”) shops: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pewex

Where did people get their dollars to spend at PEWEX? Mostly from the Polish diaspora, particularly the long-established Polish communities in the USA. Remittances to famly members.

One of Lenin’s probably apocryphal statements was “to destroy a country, first destroy its currency“. The fact is true, even if the attribution is not. Currency is a major factor of any state. States that do not have their own currency are joke states (eg Zimbabwe 2009-2019). States where the currency is very weak tend to be weak states (Weimar Germany in the early 1920s, Poland in the 1980s).

In Poland, the collapse of the zloty was not the cause of the collapse of the socialist system, but accompanied it, as did other trends, and the currency collapse was at least one cause of the collapse of “Polish” socialism.

The pound in 2020 or 2022 may not quite go the whole way of the Polish zloty of the 1980s, but “never say never”…

What the government of fools has done, in effect, is declare a national holiday on full pay for millions of people. For a further 4 months. At the same time, the most egregious restrictions of the “lockdown” nonsense are to be relaxed (before the mob ignore them anyway…), so allowing all those people “furloughed” some freedom to enjoy their unexpected weeks and months of leisure.

Evening forays

Well, I went out two evenings running, early evening. Only to Waitrose, though. On the main road (a rural or semi-rural A-road), some traffic, more than before (again). It is clear that the “lockdown”, put in place by a frightened and indeed panicked government of fools, is fraying at the edges.

Waitrose was slightly busier than yesterday, but on both days no queue to get in, and I have noticed that the black-clad Handmaid’s Tale militia (Waitrose marshals) have slackened off over the weeks. Still there, still going through the motions, but not as officiously as (one or two were) a few weeks ago.

Actually, I do not think that many people have died of Coronavirus in this part of southern England. I have seen two cases reported in the local Press since the scare began. That is in a population of 15,000 locally and, in a town about 12 miles away, another 20,000. Other small population centres as well. I have not been told personally about anyone at all who has even (knowingly) had “the virus”, let alone been hospitalized with it or died from it.

I saw a few idiots wearing what looked like home-made face-masks. Three, in fact. One ancient woman shopping with her husband (sans mask), one thin, brittle and unpleasant-looking woman aged around 60 (that’s youthful around here), and one typical male Guardian-reader, about 40 at a guess, complete with tote-bag. Yes, I am assuming wildly; I blame the “lockdown”…

As for panic buying, that seems to be yesterday’s news. Some types of pasta not available, and the flour shelf looked depleted, but the other most-scooped-up items, such as bleach, loo paper, kitchen roll etc were all in good supply. As for bread, over-supply, with many loaves on sale reduced to as little as 10p. What a difference a month makes.

As a matter of fact, I wonder how many (older) people remember the absurd sugar panic of (?) sometime in the late 1970s. It only lasted a week, had (as far as I can recall) no obvious cause, but had shoppers lining up to buy a dozen bags of sugar at a time. There were even a few scuffles or arguments in the aisles, I think. The “madness of crowds”.

Ah, maybe this [below] was what I had in mind:

https://www.theguardian.com/theguardian/2010/jul/09/archive-rationing-sugar-shortage-looms

1974. Earlier than I thought. Memory, even mine, is fallible. At least I did not “remember” having been gassed (6 times, in one case!), like some “holocaust” fakes!

Speaking of the 1940s, I was reading this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Sargant

“Selected patients for experimental operations with a high risk of death…”? Most of the criticisms of medicine and psychiatry in the Reich (sometimes justified criticisms) could be applied with as much or greater justice to the UK or USA. Fact. But Germany lost the War. Das ist’s…

I was just reading this:

https://www.loknstore.co.uk/articles/do-we-need-to-stockpile-essentials-for-a-hard-brexit/

Not sure that I believe the anecdotes in the first paragraph, but I suppose that I could be wrong.

On the way back to Schloss Millard, called in for a small amount of fuel at the (only) filling station. I saw an unmarked police car, a white Jeep-like vehicle with dark windows, akin to a Hummer (I never would have taken that to be a police vehicle) suddenly roar along the by-then empty main road, blue lights flashing (including a Kojak-style magnetic one on the roof).

What was that all about? A big undercover police operation in the area? A pensioner seen sitting on a clifftop bench, or walking along the pebbly shore, in defiance of “lockdown” “advice”? Maybe a dangerous “neo-Nazi” had been seen in the neighbourhood…In fact, Kojak‘s car light was red, but you get my meaning

After my shopping expedition, I sat down to watch the excellent Reilly, Ace of Spies on the nostalgia channel. I used to have it on DVD and, before that, on video. On this occasion, I was 15 minutes too early, so watched the ending of a marginally amusing “reality” show called Celebrity Dinner Date. What can I say? The “celebrity” (of whom I had never heard and whose name I have already forgotten) turned out to be a simian person of mixed race. He is apparently featured on the “Year of the Sex Olympics” show called Love Island, which I have never seen but understand to be a competition in which various instant “celebrities” have it off with each other somewhere in the tropics or subtropics.

The three girls who entertained the “celebrity” in turn were all English. The Germans have a word for it (as usual): Rassenschande.

The tweeter, above, has some sense, unlike the woman below:

She wants “full, policed lockdown, with clear orders…” I wonder whether she might be more at home somewhere like China, or North Korea? She has obviously no respect for what we English people used to call “civil rights”…

I was so struck by that tweet (though there are now many like it) and by the apparent fact that this Indian woman is (she claims— I had never heard of her) a regular face or voice on Sky and BBC, that I looked up her Wikipedia entry:

As a matter of fact, “journalists” and other scribblers not only often fail to report the truth, or report untruth, but do not seem even to know it when it should be within the ambit of their own lived experience! Look at the blog post, below, by Anna Blundy, who was, at the end of the 1990s, the Bureau Chief in Moscow for the London Times.

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/431674.Anna_Blundy

Ms. Blundy, who was (she says) part-basis for the fictional character Bridget Jones, writes this:

I was born in 1970 and grew up on my own with my mum while dad flew around the world to wars and summits. It was odd in those days, when most people didn’t go abroad, to be watching the news (in black and white) and taking it personally.”

When most people didn’t go abroad“? In (what must have been, at earliest) the late 1970s?! I can assure her that many many people, maybe even most people, in the UK did “go abroad” in the late 1970s! Maybe not to El Salvador, true…Do many go there even now? And she watched the TV news in black and white? In 1975 or 1980? Come on…

The lady now writes fiction, it seems. Good call.

Odd story

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-person-dressed-as-scary-17th-century-plague-doctor-sought-by-police-11980536

What a country we live in. People can dress up in all sorts of appalling ways so long as they are on an “LGBT” march or the Notting Hill Carnival, and anyone objecting can FO, but one man or woman dressing like a 17thC “plague doctor” (presumably to satirize the present “lockdown” nonsense and/or Coronavirus scare) and the police are out seeking to find him to lecture him, in case he “scares” anyone. After the population has been scared out of its skin by its own government! You couldn’t make it up!

Happened to see this

All I can say is that when I was first appearing, as a “second six pupil” (green, newly-qualified, barrister), in the County Courts and magistrates’ courts in London in 1993, the lower criminal and family courts especially were awash with black barristers. I did some criminal work, but not family. If I am honest, in the next few years I saw not one black (or brown) barrister who was anything other than incompetent. Maybe I was unlucky…I even saw an appalling creature (with teeth sawn to points, like a cannibal) at the High Court in 1994, where he was (thanks to his friends on scandal-hit Lambeth Council) defending a judicial review application. I could say more, but what’s the point?

Ghastly…

A reader of my blog sent this: https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2020/05/05/review-from-kosher-to-halal/

Home baking

Only for one brief period in my life did I any baking of bread; in the early 1980s. It lasted a few weeks. I got some excellent recipes from a book by the now-forgotten Robert Carrier (famous in the 1960s): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Carrier_(chef)

My first attempt and several others were all successful. It was only then that I went a bridge too far, making from Carrier’s book something called (if memory serves) Old English Spice Bread, which ended up the size, consistency and —almost— weight of a cannonball. It was not that I could not eat it, but that I could not even cut it! I tried to break it open by casting it down, with force, on a pavement. Result? a clunk, as if a piece of concrete had been dropped.

The cost was tremendous. A large amount of double cream, and various other ingredients. All for something half the size of a football and weighing a ton.

Ah…the wonder of the Internet… https://www.eatyourbooks.com/library/recipes/1852274/old-english-spice-bread

I might try ordinary brown bread again, if Waitrose ever has any flour or yeast or bicarb for sale again.

Turns out that Professor Ferguson broke his own lockdown in order to meet with his girlfriend (whose husband must be un mari complaisant). Ferguson has now resigned because of that trivia, not because his flawed advice (that there could be 250,000 deaths from Coronavirus in the UK) has led to the shutdown of most of the economy, to the imposition of a “police state-lite”, and maybe to the end of the UK as we have known it.

I knew as soon as I saw that bastard Ferguson that there was something wrong about him. I thought maybe drugs, but it seems that his craving lies elsewhere. It has to be admitted, though, that his girlfriend is not unattractive, on the face of it…

Meanwhile, Peter Hitchens has finally fallen out with Jewish Zionist Melanie “Mad Mel” Phillips:

Melanie Phillips is desperately trying to boost Boris-idiot by applauding his crazed “lockdown” nonsense. That has put Hitchens off her. I have to say, though, that his perspicacity fails him at times, as here below:

Was it really so surprising that a Jewess who is fanatically pro-Israel supported the war by which the major Western powers defeated one of the two or three greatest threats to Israel, i.e. Iraq under Saddam Hussein? Thus doing Israel’s dirty work. For which Israel paid not a shekel.

Anyway, back to the virus scare and the “lockdown” nonsense:

Hitchens has a long series of altercations with some Jew called Margulies, a lecturer in politics at the University of Essex, no less. The tweet below, is at or near the end of the exchange, as Margulies is put back in his box…

Good to see that the reputation of the University of Essex is being, er, maintained!

Millie

The Jamaican singer, Millie (Millie Small) has died. 73 years old. So I must have been only 7 when her one UK hit came out and was frequently on the radio and TV. I remember it well, maybe partly because “Millie/Millard”— similarity of names.

West Indians were then (1964) few in the UK, incredibly (despite what the msm propaganda would have people believe now). In the early to mid 1960s, I cannot remember ever seeing one —one!—, even in the poorer parts of Reading, let alone where my family lived, on the border of South Oxfordshire), until my family returned to the UK in late 1969, after nearly three years in Australia.

Rory Stewart

Rory Stewart has pulled out of the contest for Mayor of London. I have added another update to my blog post of a year ago about him:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/05/03/will-rory-stewart-mp-be-prime-minister/

My first thoughts about Stewart (at the time, as potential Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister) underwent change as I discovered more about him. Now, my judgment is far less favourable than it was a year ago.

Derbyshire news

Derbyshire’s chief “woodentop” is to “retire”:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/police-chief-whose-officers-filmed-21984105

Responsible not only for instituting a poundland KGB attitude to the public under the “lockdown” nonsense, but also in respect of the Alison Chabloz case. His “officers” (toytown police woodentops) behaved disgracefully on several occasions.

Now let’s hope that the Derbyshire voters also get rid of the “Police and Crime Commissioner” for that force, a dim Sikh who is in the pocket of the Jewish lobby.

“Lockdown” nonsense may start to be removed next week

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8292573/Boris-Johnson-admits-UKs-coronavirus-death-toll-appalling.html

About time. If I see much more of the (endlessly-repeated on radio and TV) braindead slogan “Stay at home; Protect the NHS; Save lives“, I myself may require immediate help as my blood-pressure goes into orbit.

Stray thoughts

Was he wrong? I would have agreed with his sentiment even a year ago. Now? [sighs]…millions of rabbits under house arrest, scared of their own shadows, lining up six feet apart; then there are the bookburners who think that books written by those they and their sort call “Nazi” should be burned, destroyed etc….and the bookburners include crazed women in academia, “professors” of third-rate universities, writers, journalists…the very people who, even 30 years ago would mostly have supported at least basic intellectual freedom. And so on.

Tomorrow the rabbits and their police zookeepers will all be clapping on command (according to the msm lie machines, anyway…in fact, I suspect that relatively few are boring the pants off the rest of us…not much clapping  is happening where I live).

The general level of quality is shockingly low now in the UK, from government and Parliament to the Press and TV “journalists”, to teachers and exams, to the “learned professions” (certainly the Bar and the solicitors’ profession), to the degraded “universities” and their fake “professors”, to the police (now on the lowest level imaginable).

So, while I feel that “never say never”, on this occasion Enoch Powell may not be right…not in the exact terms, anyway.

End “lockdown” now

What the government needs to do is to end the “lockdown”, right now, but also to keep advising people strongly, via the msm, re. washing hands (the only really effective way to prevent getting the virus) and reasonable social distancing (i.e. in particular avoiding crowded places and/or places where there are hot and excited people).

Michael Gove

Michael Gove, the pro-Israel, pro-Jewish lobby careerist MP and now Cabinet minister, is in the news again. It will be recalled that he was an expenses cheat in the 2005-2010 Parliament, to the extent that he was lucky not to be prosecuted for fraud. He is also a (supposedly former) cocaine abuser and drunk, who was also filmed in 2019, in the Chambers of the House of Commons, either dead drunk or drugged.

https://evolvepolitics.com/watch-michael-gove-accused-of-being-drunk-or-on-drugs-as-he-sways-and-stumbles-during-crucial-commons-debate/

Gove has a Jewish wife, Sarah Vine, who is a Daily Mail scribbler:

She is thought to come from a wealthy background and, although it is difficult to find out what her parents did, at the time of her marriage to Gove in 2001, they were resident in Monte Carlo. The wedding was at the beautiful village of Vence in the south of France and the reception was held at a local chateau.” [The Guardian]

It was a tweet about Gove which was one of five tweets (yes, that’s right, only 5 out of 150,000+) that got me disbarred in 2016, at the instigation of a pack of Jews: see https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/ , or google “Ian Millard barrister” for a one-sided msm view. Now, my tweet about Gove can be seen to have been obviously true (as were the other 4). At that time, Gove had not yet been exposed as a “cokehead”, just as a fraudster, embezzler, doormat for Jews and Israel, and a backstairs manipulator.

The emerging British toytown police state

It strikes me that, in most revolutions (in their uncontrolled “street” phase), it is not the intellectuals, not the ideologues, not the “responsible” trade unionists or the faux-revolutionary newspaper scribblers and TV talking heads who are the first to take to the barricades, but the delinquent youths and the —to use the contemporary colloquialism—  the “totally pissed-off— who do so. They are the ones who assault the police, hang the HVO secret police (Hungary 1956) , burn down the headquarters of the local Stasi and destroy its files (East Germany/DDR 1989) and who create the conditions for an actual revolution going beyond mere temporary upheaval.

Who are those who are “ignoring the rules” of toytown dystopian Britain in 2020? Not the bloggers, not the journalists (not even the dissident ones), not the pesudo-religious priests, priestesses and other frauds. No, we see that it is the youth, or part of it, plus a hard core of people willing to think for themselves and show themselves unafraid of the state, as well as (whisper it) the blacks and other non-Europeans in the UK (who have no thought for the principles of liberty, but who just want the practical or actual freedom to go to parks, play football on Brighton beach etc).

There is no revolution happening in Britain. Not yet, anyway. However, I notice that the young are the ones mostly ignoring the new repressive law and the police-invented “rules” taken from Government ministers’ mere wishes.

My local online newspaper reports that the police have, inter alia, tried to apprehend 7 youths fishing. My God, fishing! What devilment is this?! In fact, “when the officers arrived, the youths ran off“. Meanwhile, in other evil, police were called to a beach where youths had been reported to be using a jetski. My God, don’t they understand that they could be “spreading Coronavirus“, “literally killing people“, and “destroying the NHS“?

Well, no, actually. Because they are not. This pathetic poundland police state-ism is driving even me up the wall. Fishing in small groups (people who already know each other anyway), or using a jetski on the sea (much as I dislike jetskis) are not behaviours with the slightest chance of spreading this bloody Chinese virus.

In fact, the police were out of luck with the jetski “criminals” too, because it appears that, “by the time officers arrived, the youths and the jetski had gone, but officers found the remains of a barbecue on the beach.” A barbecue? The bastards!

Joking aside, what does it take for “Middle England” (let alone the brainwashed plebs) to defend what little is left of their liberties and civil rights?

Actually, my impression is that the vast bulk of the British people have sold their soul not for fame, money (in any large quantity), or other of the usual inducements. No. Just chuck them a family-pack of loo paper, some dried pasta, and a bottle of booze. That’s them sorted…and goodbye all the fine words about “democracy”, “a society under law” (nb. “law“, not laws“), “freedom”, “civil rights”, “human rights” etc.

I don’t want to hear any more about the (large fake anyway) “wartime spirit”, “Dunkirk spirit”, “Blitz spirit” etc, and how “we” fought “tyranny” (as propaganda had it in WW2 and, germinally, for several years beforehand, as well as since).

We see the 100-y-o ex-officer raising £20M or more for the NHS, and he is quite rightly being honoured. Having said that, why does a National Health Service need to have monies raised for it by ad hoc crowdfunding? The fact is that the NHS has been both underfunded and, at least equally important, maladministered for years, even decades. In the past decade, vast sums have been shaven off NHS budgets and, since 2017, nurses have had their pay frozen.

Will the £20M-£30M raised be properly deployed or applied? Come to that, I wonder whether that 100-year-old ex-officer himself voted Conservative in 2010, 2015, 2017 or 2019??

More tweets about the current madness

Yes, the virus has killed a significant number of people, but the expected mass onslaught of deaths has not arrived. The NHS has a huge number of empty beds for the time of year. Shopping report

I went out shopping for the first time in 2 days yesterday evening. Waitrose not crowded, in fact almost empty, but a few things caught my attention. The first was an odd-looking thin woman hovering around, inter alia, the (empty) dry pasta shelves, a scarf round her mouth (well, if she keeps it that way at home, I’m sure that her husband is grateful!). On approaching other shoppers, even 20 feet away, she held the scarf up to her mouth, tightly, as if in a plague zone (in a dystopian sci-fi film). Funny people. It’s hard not to hold silly people of her sort in contempt.

As for shortages, only —as before— dry pasta, flour and, to a lesser extent, rice. They are good for years, so I suppose that people are stockpiling in case civil war or complete disorder reigns. It could happen, so I find it hard to condemn the “selfishness” out of hand, even though I myself am not stockpiling (in any case, I now live in a humble little place and would scarcely have the storage space). All the other goods which were the object of the panic-buyers recently are in good supply: loo paper, kitchen roll, bottled water, pasta sauce, tinned fish. I bought a couple of cans of tinned red salmon, together with ready-made poppadums, Madras curry paste, fruit, vegetables (mainly carrots for juicing, on sale for only 25p a large bag— cheap), kefir etc. Only thing apart from flour and dry pasta completely unavailable seems to be bleach.

Strange…or is it?

The tweeter, one Millard (unrelated to me, incidentally), is perplexed. Well-meaning no doubt, volunteered for “Coronavirus” duty, to help NHS etc. Ignored. Why?

That tweeter has been the dupe of a propaganda campaign.

We have seen how the new “instant hospitals” set up to receive huge numbers of “Coronavirus” victims (patients) are not even necessary (though setting them up may have been the right decision, and the speed with which they were set up was impressive).

The largest such “Nightingale” hospital, in London, has only handled about 20 or 30 patients out of its maximum capacity of 4,000. Others, in other parts of the UK, have handled few —or no— patients. The one planned for Tyne and Wear is not even going to be opened now.

As I have blogged before, the Government took the Coronavirus crisis as an existential threat to the whole society, as not only a “national emergency” (as its panic-stricken TV ads aver), but also as a national emergency which might kill a quarter of a million or even a half-million people in the UK. In that, they were misled by their “experts” from Imperial College and elsewhere. Those “experts” more recently changed tack and projected a UK death toll of 5,700, but now seem to be unable to think of a suitably-credible new figure. In short, they are like racing tipsters who have lost all credibility and are simply tipping the favourite for the remaining races on the card.

The Government (perhaps with the right intentions, though many think not) took a “maximalist” approach to the virus situation. They closed down our society, closed down our economy, instituted police state rules and regulations. In short, they thought that a tsunami was coming, but when it came, it turned out to be only a larger than usual but not devastating wave.

Now the Goverment, as I wrote yesterday and the day before, has painted itself into a corner, unable to say to the people “well, thank God the expected disaster never happened, so lockdown is over and see you all at work and play tomorrow…”

That cannot happen, not for medical or public health reasons, but for political ones.

The peak has almost certainly passed in the UK, as it has in most if not all of Europe. Even in the USA, we see how deaths have levelled-off and then dropped in terms of daily totals in New York City.

Other parts of Europe have mostly decided to finish this “lockdown” stuff, but Britain is stubbornly refusing, no doubt because of the fear that the Government will look stupid. In reality, this regime is a headless chicken without Boris-idiot in place.

Contrasts

I saw this tweet and many similar to it:

While I resist the System propaganda around “Coronavirus”, the fact is that there is now a generation or two of pretty useless people, for whom all that matters is what people say about them on pathetic “social media” platforms. Many have so much, but they see only their own “suffering”, most of which is in their own empty heads. You only have to look at the TV they have spawned, such as “reality” TV (fake “real life” in Essex etc) and game shows involving such emptyheads screwing each other on islands etc.

I do not want to be too sweeping, but we are mainly talking about the under-40s and often the under-30s.

Sometimes I think that only a real chistka will get rid of them.

Some cheerful music for hard times

History moves on. The German Reich was the superior force, but not in terms of outward force, sadly. Thesis-antithesis-synthesis. We propose, oppose, but later move forward in a way neither of the opposed forces could have predicted. Slava!

The same is true of the oft-mentioned dichotomy, National Socialism v. Anthroposophy. Synthesis is coming even there. National Socialism was not 100% “correct” or “right” in all things and for all time; the same is certainly the case with Anthroposophy. The future waves of History will select what is worthy of survival from both.

Interesting

An interesting tweet by Andrew Neil:

I suppose that Israel is the safest place because…well, some would say because Israel has a strong medical and pharmaceutical sector (which is no surprise, with all the Jewish doctors in the world); others might respond that, if someone rolls a boulder from the top of a hill where 100 people are standing at various heights, and, as it gathers speed, various people are injured or killed by the boulder on its downhill course, then who is in the safest position of all? Surely the one who set the boulder moving from his place at the top of the hill…

The truth is that I do not know what really started this worldwide pandemic; few people do. It is, however, obviously being used for political and possibly geopolitical purposes.

Returning to Neil’s tweet, Britain is not even in the top-40 of “safest countries”. We really are down in the hole these days. Terrible.

Here’s one [below], from a plainly stupid woman who just wants to be told what to do and think.

Here’s another similar one (there are hundreds like her on Twitter), who does not want to be a free citizen, but just an obedient and compliant serf:

A couple more like those?

Most of the “willing slaves” seem to be women, but not all. At least Laura Kuenssberg and other journalists are starting to question the stupid “lockdown” policy which may well give the coup de grace to Britain’s faltering economy and society (and to what is left of civil rights in this country).

As for listening to the ludicrously-named “SAGE” “experts”, these are the same people who initially said that 250,000 (or even 500,000) would die from Coronavirus in the UK. At present about 12,000 people have died from “Coronavirus-related” conditions. In the same period, about 100,000 other people have died in the UK, and from all sorts of other conditions, diseases and events.

Many of the tweets seen today (and on every day) make one wonder whether it is even worth pretending to be a “democracy”, when so many people incapable of thinking, or whose attempts to think are crippled by their own neuroses, have the vote, the same vote that you and I have. Many are so easily manipulated. Worse, they want to be told “do this, don’t do that“. Societal masochism.

I might not always agree with Peter Hitchens, but most of his tweets are a blessed relief from the “me too”, “clap for victory” serfs on Twitter.

Here is Hitchens laughing at Nadine Dorries, the expenses cheat MP and total deadhead:

Nadine Dorries seems to imagine that a vaccine can be developed and rolled out in weeks! Or maybe she thinks that “lockdown” can just continue ad infinitum. What an idiot that stupid woman really is!

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/six-questions-that-neil-ferguson-should-be-asked

“In 2005, Ferguson said that up to 200 million people could be killed from bird flu. He told the Guardian that ‘around 40 million people died in 1918 Spanish flu outbreak… There are six times more people on the planet now so you could scale it up to around 200 million people probably.’ In the end, only 282 people died worldwide from the disease between 2003 and 2009.” [The Spectator]

In 2009, Ferguson and his Imperial team predicted that swine flu had a case fatality rate 0.3 per cent to 1.5 per cent. His most likely estimate was that the mortality rate was 0.4 per cent. A government estimate, based on Ferguson’s advice, said a ‘reasonable worst-case scenario’ was that the disease would lead to 65,000 UK deaths. In the end swine flu killed 457 people in the UK and had a death rate of just 0.026 per cent in those infected. Why did the Imperial team overestimate the fatality of the disease? Or to borrow Robinson’s words to Hancock this morning: ‘that prediction wasn’t just nonsense was it? It was dangerous nonsense.‘” [The Spectator]

Well, what about that? This is the man (see above) who is, with others, advising little Matt Hancock and the other Government clowns. This is the man whose opinions those (mostly women) tweeters want to go unquestioned by Laura Kuenssberg et al.

Prof Neil Ferguson

https://www.leadersleague.com/en/news/heroes-and-zeros-neil-ferguson

At least he is now saying that the Government needs an “exit strategy”.  He looks like a drug addict or something (I do not suppose that he actually is a drug addict but he does look rather odd). This country is very sick, and the sickness is worst at the centre of power and influence.

As a matter of fact, I (not a scientist, not a medic, but not devoid of sense either) disagree with Ferguson re. “exit strategy”. No, what the government needs to do is to end the “lockdown”, right now but keep advising people strongly via the msm re. washing hands (the only really effective way to prevent getting the virus) and reasonable social distancing (i.e. avoiding crowded places, places where there are hot and excited people etc).

Ha ha! I agree with Hitchens about this [below]!

Peter Hitchens seems to be agreeing with my view, expressed in the past day or two:

The Government knows that it has done a Sorcerer’s Apprentice over Coronavirus, and wants to stop it before the entire economy is wasted, but it cannot, politically, say it like that. There “has” to be, therefore, some fake “exit strategy” in unnecessary stages…

What worries me is that the public, or at least much of it, has now been brainwashed into thinking that the plague is abroad…only the Coronavirus church (NHS and Government) and Coronavirus saints, whether NHS staff, large donors, 100-year-old retired officers raising charitable funds for NHS, or elderly survivors, can redeem the people…

The public will now be unable to accept any simple honest statement from Downing Street which says “It’s over. We went too far. Coronavirus is a risk but a manageable one. You may now walk, drive, shop, go to work etc as you please, to extent that you did until we started this mass panic.”

I should think that what is gripping the present government of clowns is the fear that the public will see through them…

Clap clap…

This evening, for the first time, I actually saw people engaging in the Daily Hate…oh, no, wait, that was in Nineteen Eighty-Four, not in our wonderful caring society. I mean the regular “clap for [whoever]”. Two women (one dressed in what, on a cursory look, seemed to be pyjamas and a housecoat) and a small child, the latter banging on something like a frying pan. If you see the Government’s TV ads (propaganda) you think that millions are doing this, but these are the only people I have seen join in (if that is the bon mot when they were the only ones doing it), in several weeks.

Britain’s experiment in becoming a police state continues

I doubt that I am the only person disturbed by this: 2000 hrs, Westminster Bridge. The police lead the “Weekly Clap”:

Beyond the State’s Westminster propaganda display, a dark and fearful city where the inhabitants are under house arrest.

Not everyone is impressed:

An example of the dissonant idiocy into which this brainless government of fools has led us.

Willing slaves?

The people of Britain have been turned into scared rabbits.

Britain is not ready for the coronavirus lockdown to be lifted even if the government wanted to, a poll revealed today.

Research for MailOnline found 80 per cent would not feel safe going back to everyday life at the moment, with nearly 60 per cent saying they are not comfortable leaving the house.

Around half are now resigned to the draconian ‘social distancing’ curbs being in place into June – and 37 per cent say they will keep obeying the rules indefinitely if the government believes it is necessary.

[Daily Mail]

Government advisers have admitted to being surprised by the extent to which Britons have been obeying the regime, with politicians increasingly alarmed at the huge consequences for the economy and Treasury finances.” [Daily Mail]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8225891/Four-fifths-say-not-feel-safe-lockdown-lifted-now.html

Research for MailOnline by Redfield & Wilton found 80 per cent would not feel safe going back to everyday life at the moment

Four-fifths would feel unsafe going to a bar or restaurant if lockdown lifted now, and 62 per cent would feel unsafe going back to work

Four-fifths would feel unsafe going to a bar or restaurant if lockdown lifted now, and 62 per cent would feel unsafe going back to work

Some 37 per cent say they will keep obeying the rules indefinitely if the government believes it is necessary

Maybe this pathetic collapse of the national psychology is a logical consequence of 30 years of pervasive political correctness, “control” of thoughts and expression, scurrying semi-human (((creatures))) “reporting” and denouncing to police, employers, Twitter etc anyone expressing dissident thoughts or feelings.

Who would have thought it? Homo Sovieticus has been reincarnated in the UK…

Coronavirus

BBC Radio 4 Today Programme drone pushing the “lockdown saves lives” rubbish, when in fact, taken overall, far more will die because of “lockdown”. They will die of everything except Coronavirus.

Looks as if the UK government (ZOG regime) is intent on keeping the “Coronavirus crisis” going as long as possible. In fact, the regime may well be quite content that, in care homes and private homes, the very elderly and unwell are dying “quietly”, out of the public eye. It solves for the regime the care crisis that it itself has created via spending cuts since 2010.

Conspiracy theory? I think not (ask Dominic Cummings and his “weirdos and misfits”).

Time for a European alliance of ethnostates

Down with globalism!

“The world is not without kind people” (Russian proverb)

Therese Coffey

Deadhead DWP Secretary, Therese Coffey, is trending on Twitter:

This government of fools (illegitimate ZOG regime) is lost without its part-Jew public entertainer, Boris-idiot (who apparently has now been tested for Coronavirus and shows no sign of it, oddly, despite his supposedly having been almost dying from it for two weeks; surely he would show “antibodies”? Perhaps either I, or the commentator, more likely, need to understand better the situation, the virus, the testing procedure or the language used.

Looks like I was right to blog about Therese Coffey as a “deadhead MP”!

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/09/16/deadhead-mps-an-occasional-series-the-therese-coffey-story/

There is light at the end of the tunnel! Oh, no…it’s an approaching train!

Either Sky News or the useless “Office of Budget Responsibility” is looking for pie in the sky (Sky?). The near-collapse of the UK economy is already happening in reality, and the Government is now unlikely to finish this nonsense of “lockdown” any time soon, mainly because the Cabinet is now, in the absence of the part-Jew public entertainer Boris-idiot, posing as Prime Minister, akin to a headless chicken.

As for a swift “bouncing back”, where does that idea originate? In the Conservative Party propaganda department? Half of the world is still not functioning economically. By Autumn, the Coronavirus crisis/scare/whatever will be over, presumably, but in Europe (still our main trading area, despite Brexit) demand will be at rock-bottom. The same will be true of the USA/North America, our second most important area.

Domestic demand will be very weak too, in a situation where millions will be unemployed and where the “self-employed” (5 million people) will often be making little money. Pay generally is likely to be low. So from where does the “bounce-back” come?

Perhaps what is meant is that there will be a huge fall in activity, but then followed by an increase on that low figure.

Incidentally, I still see people tweeting the 2016 report about me in the Independent. The report was one-sided but at least partly-accurate. I disliked as much, or more, the accompanying headless photograph, presented as if me, but which was of some other barrister.

I do not smoke, have never been a cigarette smoker, and had far better shoes than the barrister in that Independent photo! The Independent also seemed ignorant of the fact that “to practise law” is written thus, and not “to practice law”, which is only the correct usage in the USA. A small but telling point, symptomatic of the crashing standards in the terminally-sick UK Press (Lugenpresse; Judenpresse…).

My blog

I had a pleasing spike in blog hits yesterday: 435 views from 286 individual visitors. Far above the usual range.

The madness gets madder (something I keep thinking impossible, and then am proven wrong…)

I blogged about such mad developments in UK and European society about 18 months ago, but the “window” keeps shifting toward ever-greater lunacy.

Life on the breadline

I do not blame “Bootstrap Cook”, aka Jack Monroe, for using the unpleasant “Mark Lewis Lawyer” in her libel case against the commentator, Katie Hopkins, and it worked out for the Bootstrap Cook, though as a one-time practising barrister I can say with absolute certainty that a precocious child could have won that case against Katie Hopkins, who was evidently either badly-advised or not advised (I do not know whether she was “her own lawyer”, which is usually a mistake).

Anyway, I saw this Washington Post profile:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/food/tin-can-cook-jack-monroe-is-determined-to-show-people-how-to-eat-well–no-matter-their-budget/2018/12/07/f8ae7654-f422-11e8-bc79-68604ed88993_story.html

I have to say that, of the few of her recipes seen by me via her Twitter profile, I have not been enthusiastic about many, but I admit that I have never actually made (or tasted) any of them (they may well be pleasant in actuality). However, I think that this person is performing a public service.

We see in Britain how many people are living on peanuts (sometimes literally), the result of Britain’s economic and social decline combined with —mostly— Conservative Party government policies which have made tough times worse for so many, while the wealthy and very wealthy have thrived in the past 10-20 years especially. Anything that helps people both to survive, and survive without unnecessary pain, must be good.

Many people in the UK cook little, and eat far too many takeways etc, which may be not only unhealthy if taken in excess, but relatively expensive if indulged in frequently. That becomes even more true for those on very low incomes. Often one sees TV reports about people living on pennies getting Chinese takeaways, Indian curry, or fish and chips, and spending their little money on that. Fish and chips ?£5-£10 per head, an Indian or Chinese even more; the Indian place, in a nearby town, and that I use occasionally for takeaway (it’s also a restaurant), is very good but works out at about £15 a head.

I do not forget that sometimes people living in a poor way need something that just briefly seems to make life worth living, even if it is not the most healthy option. George Orwell wrote about that in one of his essays.

I am not merely opining de haut en bas here. I have been down there a few times… especially in — and for several months— 1998, when I had to learn to live in London on plain rice, one piece of fruit per day, bits and pieces (I even ate fruit abandoned by traders at street markets and left in empty boxes by the stalls!).

I had to be “creative” with the Underground (I expect that their technology would defeat me these days) and otherwise had to walk everywhere, trudging morosely past places formerly frequented as a customer, such as Julie’s restaurant in Holland Park, Raoul’s cafe in Little Venice (where I had formerly breakfasted daily in the early/mid 1990s) and other places barred to me by lack of cash such as the once-lovely River Room at the Savoy Hotel (I believe much changed since those days), where I always ate and drank the same thing: “Atlantic Platter” of fish and shellfish, washed down by pretty much the best Chablis I ever had.

Inside the new-look Savoy hotel - The Caterer

[above: The River Room at the Savoy. Actually not looking completely different to how it was c.1994, if memory serves, but the tables are ugly square things now; they used to have beautiful big round tables, even for two people; also, there is a less opulent look somehow, the tables now without full heavy white tablecloths]

Silver lining: I lost rather a lot of weight on my enforced diet with enforced exercise; in fact everyone told me how well I was looking!

“Bootstrap Cook’s” stuff is worth a look, anyway: https://twitter.com/BootstrapCook

More “Coronavirus” lunacy

Shocking footage shows a man brandishing a stick after being confronted by a furious local after he ignored the coronavirus lockdown to go camping in Wales. The video was posted on social media after the camper was confronted by a group of locals who asked him to leave the site at Llyn Cowlyd near Trefriw on Saturday.”

The daughter of the 60-year-old in the footage told  North Wales Live : “My dad was with the owner of the land and all they did was ask them to leave and said that the police were on their way.

Then the man threatened to hit my dad in the head with the stick. She added: “When the police arrived, the campers said they were from Hull. The officers were mortified.

“”They were fined and they traced the number plate to make sure they returned home.”

Her dad added: “It was unbelievable that they travelled all the way from Hull to the top of a mountain to camp when the whole country is on lockdown and the government clearly has instructed everyone to stay home unless necessary.” [Daily Mirror]

Well, for me the lunacy is on the part of those locals. What possible harm in terms of spreading the virus can two people do, camping on a remote mountain? It seems that they left a mess. Well, fine them for that.

It just shows how quickly the masses have internalized the “we are slaves of the State and will do what the government says (even if very silly)” propaganda, given strength by the virus-“fear” aspect…Actually, what is borderline frightening is how easily supposedly rational individuals (as a mass) can be manipulated and controlled.

As for the locals, the story put me in mind, perhaps unfairly, of this:

The shutdown of the economy

Was just looking at the latest companies to actually go into administration. They are unlikely ever to return to active trading. Oasis, Warehouse and Debenhams. About 25,000 employees, currently on furlough, have nowhere to go when the stupid “lockdown” finishes. Their furlough money ends in June.

China

My feelings about China are torn: I hate the way the Chinese as a group abuse the natural world and especially the animals. In some ways they are very backward as a people. Also, the sheer numbers are an existential danger not only to Europe but to the whole planet. On the other hand, who could fail to be impressed by a display such as this?
