Matthew Hancock

Seems that little Matt Hancock has once again exposed his own ignorance…

Regular blog readers may recall that I wrote about Hancock last year:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/09/09/deadhead-mps-an-occasional-series-the-matt-hancock-story/

Now he tries to seem terribly important and portentous as Health Secretary during our Coronavirus times, but somehow it just does not wash.

Italy

In fact, it looks very much as though Coronavirus has peaked in Italy

Despite the peak having probably been reached in Italy, its government has decided to extend “lockdown” until 3 May at earliest. Will there be an Italy left once the populace emerge blinking into the early Summer sunshine? I doubt it.

Does that mean that the UK government-of-fools will extend “lockdown” until June? If they do, they are looking for trouble.

This idiotic woman, below, has the same vote as you. Now do you see why our form of “democracy” leads to governments run by idiots and/or confidence tricksters?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/11347343/stockpiler-mum-bins-food-no-regret/

The bitch is not even giving the stuff that is still OK and within date to local foodbanks! It is not hard. Waitrose and other supermarkets have large bins beyond their checkouts.

Early tweets seen

Ah. Here’s one from some Twitter “celebrity” called Felton. He has 170,000 Twitter “followers”, no less, and is a TV comedy writer, apparently.

Absolutely peak Twitter stupidity. Thinks that people are “expert” because they have a few letters after their names and/or positions as government advisers. Not so. The principal government adviser on Coronavirus, one Ferguson, of Imperial College, said that UK deaths from the virus could reach 250,000. A month later, quite recently, he said 5,700! Hello? The actual figure, at time of writing, stands at just below 9,000.

While we are on the unpleasant but necessary topic of deaths from (actually, “with” or “related to“…) Coronavirus, we might remind ourselves that there are about 70 MILLION inhabitants of the UK. In other words, and in round figures, so far there has been 1 death for every 8,000 of the population.

Obviously, that is a serious public health problem, amounting to several thousand people having died in the past week, but it has to be seen in the context of the approximately 10,000-11,000 people per week who die in this week of the year anyway, taking the past five years’ average. The increase is actually below 1,000 per week, over the past week, and a matter of about 500 extra per week in the past month or so.

So far, only a few brave souls such as the scribbler and TV talking head, Peter Hitchens, have put their heads above the parapet and asked “is it right to shut down the whole economy, pretty much, for this, particularly when we do not really know what if any beneficial public health effect the ‘lockdown’ has?”

One might say “weigh a doubt against a certainty”: the “doubt” is what if any good effect the “lockdown” is having; the “certainty” is what negative effect the “lockdown” is having on the already-fragile UK economy.

Lies, damn lies and statistics…

The government of fools

What would I have done?

What would I myself have done, were I at the head of government? This:

Had I been the ruler of the UK (take that as you will), I should have ordered a complete lockdown for one week only. Complete. That would have sent the message to the population, and would have enabled preparation in NHS and police etc. After that, I should have pushed hard, with every tool available to government, the only measure we know beyond question halts Coronavirus spread, namely the thorough and effective washing of hands with soap and water, perhaps every 15 minutes.

I should have restricted gatherings of people in large excited groups and in very confined spaces (again, the only places we know spread this virus greatly) and would have recommended the responsible use of parks, beaches, shopping areas and so on. No-one wants to get this nasty condition, so I think that would have been as, or nearly as, effective as the “lockdown” that we now have.

The Underground, trains and buses (and equivalents outside London) would have to cease operations for the duration, or only allow a small proportion of “key workers” aboard, so that “social distancing” could be observed in those incubators of the virus.

That would have saved most of the economy from a terminal spiral. Now, as things are, we are approaching what amounts to a near-collapse economically, unless the “lockdown” stops very soon.

The “furlough” payments cannot be maintained indefinitely, and at present are due to determine in 2-3 months, at (I believe) the end of June. When that happens, huge numbers of employees will simply be made redundant. Retail, manufacturing, service. Many enterprises and indeed whole sectors were showing weakness before “Coronavirus” or “COVID-19” was ever a factor.

The political impact will be huge. The millions who cheered on Dunce Duncan Smith in his attacks on those without paid work, for example, will be shouting, not cheering, when they end up on “Universal Credit” and find that they get a weekly pittance and not the pay they had before the “crisis”.

Housing too. Millions will not be able to afford rents, and Housing Benefit will not cover rents in full. We then see the collapse of both the parasitic “Buy to Let” market and the wider housing market. Property will be worth 50% of what it now is. Perhaps even 25%. Impossible? 20 years ago, properties were about a fifth, even a tenth, of what they are now, supposedly, “worth”. Does the rocket only go up and never down? Will banks be lending freely after all this? I doubt it.

Going, going, gone…?

It will be recalled that some “expert” called Ferguson, from Imperial College, told the government and msm that over 250,000 people might be killed by Coronavirus in the UK. He later had to “revise” his estimate to…5,700. In fact, that seems to have been mistaken too, though less so (the death toll is now, officially, not far short of 9,000, though that may be partly because everyone who has Coronavirus is now (for the past 10 days or so) registered as a “Coronavirus death” even though the real cause of death may be some other condition).

Well, now we see that the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, based in the USA, and apparently the leading data collector for such things not only in the USA but in the whole world, has “revised” its 66,000 prediction for the UK to somewhere between 22,000 and 62,500! So much for “the experts”…

Silly, but it made me laugh…

Priti Patel

How can that freeloading and thick (in both senses) Israeli agent last, even in this government of fools?

Speculations and conspiracy theories

The present atmosphere gives rise to all manner of conspiracy theories. One or two may have elements of truth in them.

What if “COVID-19” (or some other one next year or the year after that) were to be deliberately released and designed to mutate, with the idea of reducing the population of the Earth to say a tenth of its present size? What if getting infected by the virus were not to confer immunity to most victims? What if second, third waves of slightly different viruses were to hit the world, leaving only 10% or 1% of the population alive and immune?

The atmosphere must be getting to me! I have only had one can of Pilsner Urquell!

In the end, one must have faith that the advanced section of present-day humanity (white Northern Europeans) will, even if only a tiny number of them, survive and thrive, creating a new and better culture and civilization down the line.

Keir Starmer and Robert Jenrick make Jewish Passover declarations

Ah…Keir Starmer and Robert Jenrick. A “Conservative” Cabinet minister, and the new “Labour” leader and head of the Shadow Cabinet. What could they possibly have in common? Well, how about these?

  • Keir Starmer: married to a Jewish woman lawyer; their half-Jewish children are being brought up as culturally Jewish; member of Labour Friends of Israel;
  • Robert Jenrick: married to a Jewish woman lawyer; their half-Jewish children are being brought up as culturally Jewish; member of Conservative Friends of Israel.

Get the picture?

Priti Patel and Yvette Cooper

As I have often noted, it was only the rise to power, in Uganda, of Idi Amin that stopped Priti Patel from spending her life behind the counter of a Kampala grocery store. She’s another member of Conservative Friends of Israel. Thick as two short planks. A proven agent of Israel, for which she was actually sacked by then Prime Minister Theresa May. Still, in the UK of today, being stupid and corrupt (and basically foreign) does not prevent someone from becoming an MP and even a Cabinet minister, albeit a bad-joke one.

Not that I like Yvette Cooper either: a proven expenses cheat in the 2005-2010 Parliament, together with her —then Cabinet minister— husband, Ed Balls. Member of Labour Friends of Israel. Moneygrasping. A “refugees welcome” drone, who claimed that she and her nasty husband, Balls, were ready to welcome “refugees” into their home (and that everyone should do the same). Oddly, the ghastly pair never did welcome “refugees” into one of their several homes (paid for over the years by the British taxpayers). The “refugees” (and the public) are still waiting…

Priti Patel? Yvette Cooper? I would like to [redacted], if truth be known. Ed Balls too. These are all enemies of the British people. Terrible people. Lying people. Moneygrasping people. Cruel people.

Ha ha!

Jewish Chronicle and Jewish News go up the chimney…

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/apr/08/jewish-chronicle-and-jewish-news-to-be-liquidated-and-staff-laid-off

I covered this news yesterday too:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2020/04/08/diary-blog-8-april-2020/

Really good news.

More good news

One unexpected bonus arising out of the Coronavirus crisis is that the police are so busy throwing their weight about, shouting at old couples walking on the fells of Northern England, at motorists who have decided to take their cars on —entirely harmless— drives, and at young ladies modestly sunbathing in London parks, that some of their other usual activities have been frozen until somewhere down the line. Not dealing with ordinary (real) crime, such as burglary, bank robbery, or even murder. Those crimes have all but fallen off a cliff during “lockdown”. No, I refer to online social media “crime” and particularly political “crime”.

According to relevant legislation, notably the notorious Communications Act 2003, s.127, and the laws dealing with procedure in the magistrates’ courts, any prosecution for “grossly offensive” tweets  or Facebook posts (etc) must be taken (i.e. charge made) within 6 months of complaint to police and/or CPS (there is now also a backstop limitation of 3 years, but that does not over-ride the 6-month limitation which starts to tick once the police and/or CPS have been notified of the alleged crime).

My readers will see the point. Malicious organizations and individuals, mostly Jewish, have fastened upon this bad law and abused it to try to shut down freedom of expression. The disgraced solicitor, Mark Lewis, now resident in Israel (apparently), was a leading figure in such evil abuse of the British legal system.

download

[above: self-promoting Jew solicitor, obscene Twitter troll and “lawfare” abuser, Mark Lewis, now an Israeli citizen and resident in Israel]

Tame police have gone along with that to a large extent, as witness numerous cases, most of which however never made it to court (a few did, mostly resulting in small fines, though there have been a few instances where heavier penalties were imposed, e.g. the case of Alison Chabloz, the satirical singer-songwriter). Here is my own story in relation to such “lawfare” abuse:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/

CZpdYWeW0AQXGc_

More thoughts about Communications Act 2003, s.127

Well, it seems that, by reason of Coronavirus, the police have a perfect excuse not to do both their proper job (dealing with real crime) —despite the falling-off of crime during the “lockdown”— and also their fairly-recently acquired joke-job (monitoring and censoring comment on social media).

Further to previous comment, the chances are that, at least in respect of socio-political views expressed on Twitter etc, any complaints by (((the usual suspects))) will be filed somewhere right at the back of the priority line, meaning that (bearing in mind the now-glacial work-rate of the CPS and courts) few if any such complaints will make it to a charge within the 6-month usual limitation period. A window of Internet freedom…

Happy time!

An interesting blog article

This article by “@CrimBarrister” is disturbing and worth reading:

https://crimbarrister.wordpress.com/2020/04/08/try-me-kangaroo-court-sport/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

The migration-invasion continues

Authorities helping migrants ashore could be seen not wearing PPE equipment to protect themselves from the coronavirus, despite reports of cases in the migrant camps in France

[above: a migrant-invader lands in Sussex. He looks happy, well-fed. The bastard even has what looks like a camera phone. No doubt signalling to thousands to follow on after him from France]

So UK police can misuse drones to spot elderly couples or solitary trekkers walking in the Peak District, but Border Force cannot do the same contra migrant-invaders in the Channel. We need a Feliks Dzerzhinsky…

Virtue-signalling Twitter idiots will say “oh, it was only 63, yesterday. Not so many...” but even if you —naively— assume that no others arrived surreptitiously, that is still about 2,000 in a month, 24,000 in a year. Most are single men. Even if you say that 6 share a house or flat, that’s still 4,000+ dwellings a year unavailable for British people. Same with medical services and everything else. And that is before they pick up English “hoes” (brainwashed into being “non-racist”…) and start to breed with them…Few have any skills in any area that might be of any use here, so they will mostly be on State benefits, inc. housing…

It sounds harsh, but these invaders should not be “rescued” but allowed to perish in the Channel, not given a free ride from a few miles off the French coast. They are invaders and must be treated as such.

Shoppers’ Corner

Despite the fact that I consider most of the restrictions now in play nonsense, I shall not be going out for a couple of days, perhaps not until Monday (written on Thursday). In the meantime, here I recount my experience of the outside world as seen yesterday, my first outing for 2 days.

Roads quiet in my little corner of Southern England, but not as empty as they were a week ago. At Waitrose, a long line of “socially-distancing” persons all waiting to be allowed entrance by the black-clad, scarf-wearing Handmaid’s Tale militia (Waitrose marshals). My fault for going early. Go half an hour before close and you can pretty much go straight in.

The shoppers looked fairly ordinary, though there were a few idiots (as I think, anyway) wearing Chinese-style masks and, in one case, medical gloves as well. In the car park…

Inside, once allowed in (as another shopper exited), no great shortage of anything except dried pasta, which I did not need (fortunately, as it was almost all gone again, and again only the unpopular stuff like wholewheat spaghetti left). In fact, this is certainly hoarding behaviour, because there was —again— fresh pasta available aplenty. Flour was mostly gone, as was stuff used in baking bread, such as bicarbonate of soda, yeast etc. Bleach was unavailable in large containers, only the spray stuff.

Everything else formerly in short supply because of panic-buying or bulk-buying was available: bread, eggs (restricted to one pack per customer), loo paper, kitchen roll, lemons. Not much chicken left. I myself was buying mainly bread, kitchen roll (restricted to one pack) and things you need for Indian dinners: Madras, Korma and other curry pastes, Patak’s Lime Pickle, poppadums, coconut cream, chutney etc. No real shortage, though most of the rice had gone.

The UK’s toytown police state and its poundland KGB

This is a toytown North Korea in genesis. If the police think that they can repress the public indefinitely, I think that they may be in for a big shock when (not if, but when) the (so-far-compliant) public mood shifts decisively.

When I heard that police woodentop commander from Northampton say that his men would be searching people’s shopping trolleys for “non-essential” shopping (who is some police woodentop to make that judgment anyway?) I could hardly believe my ears! Actions going well beyond even the repressive “instant tyranny” of the new overnight Coronavirus Act. “Leading beyond authority”? A typical Common Purpose drone. Toytown North Korea indeed.

I don’t think there is any possibility, any likelihood of these lockdown measures being lifted immediately or even imminently,”

“We don’t yet really have enough data from what has happened so far to know for sure the impact they’re having.” [Nicola Sturgeon, talking on Sky News]

So Nicola Sturgeon has no information as to the public health effects of the “lockdown”, but is prepared to extend the “lockdown” for a great deal longer?

Goodbye, Scottish economy…

After the “lockdown” is eased, politics will be interesting

The Government (UK) has decided to keep the lockdown going, possibly until May or even later. That despite the fact that proven Coronavirus cases have not been so numerous. In fact, there is a steady decline in new cases. My theory is that, with the person currently posing as Prime Minister in hospital, his Cabinet colleagues are unwilling to take the responsibility for ending the “house arrest of the British people”.

All the same, that “house arrest” has to be ended, and soon. The damage done to the UK economy may already be close to terminal. The EU economies too:

Our “democracy”…

We are not yet North Korea, but give it time…

Labour

A tweet from a week or so ago. Very true.

The new Europe, the new UK, starting in 2022

For years, I have been writing and speaking about 2022, the most significant year since 1989. In 2022, 33 years will have passed since the fall of socialism. From 2022, a new ideology must replace both old-style socialism (including social democracy) and globalist finance-capitalism and its political excrescences.

As far as the UK is concerned, there will never be so opportune a time for social-national politics and para-politics as from now, through 2022, and on from there. I myself shall not see the dawn of 2055 (2022 + 33) but I am still here at present, struggling for the right and just and, by Grace of God, will still be here in 2022 when I reach 66 years of age.

5b97c21dcc636

It has been said by some, by me too, that as things stand, politics, ordinary politics, start a party and get elected politics, holds out little prospect of success for us.

We have seen successively-greater waves of non-European immigration since 1945 change Britain out of all recognition. We know that that gradual invasion means that our sort of politics is always fighting its way uphill. The faster breeding rate of the non-Europeans adds yet another factor. On the other hand, even England is still about 85% “white” (European), despite the fact that some major cities are no longer majority non-white.

If the economy of the world goes into recession or even depression, the political realm will be changed out of recognition. Look at how, after 10 years of lying “there is no money” fake “austerity”, even a “Conservative” government has suddenly thrown open its coffers. Desperate times betoken desperate measures. The most radical ideologies may soon seem plausible to desperate and struggling people.

Politics, for us, is about people, about the race and, beyond even the race, the future race we wish to create.

Coronavirus

Seems that the public has become accustomed to the name and refuses to adopt the official “Covid-19” label.

As for our medical and scientific progress, look at this news item from 1918, prior to the arrival in New York of the worldwide “Spanish Flu”, which eventually killed millions.

“Soap and water” (and “fresh air”). Progress? What progress?

Note also the optimistic “will be less violent than [in 1917]”… which turned out to be quite mistaken.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2862336/

A New York Times report from 2009:

We do not yet know what is going to happen worldwide or in the UK in respect of the present outbreak, but the signs are worrying. The UK government response has been quite flabby: unco-ordinated, while giving out “fake news”, as suited thug Matt Hancock MP (only at the present time could such a person pose as a Cabinet minister), Secretary of State for Health, has done:

“Supermarkets have said Matt Hancock’s claim they will deliver food to those who are self-isolating over coronavirus fears was “totally made up”.

The health secretary said during a Question Time appearance on Thursday that the government was in talks with retailers about home deliveries.

“We are working with the supermarkets to make sure that, if people are self-isolating, then we will be able to get the food and supplies that they need,” he said.

However, supermarket sources have said they have not been involved in discussions.

Matt Hancock has totally made up what he said about working with supermarkets,” one executive told the BBC. “We haven’t heard anything from government directly.”

They said sales of cupboard basics, such as pasta and tinned goods, had “gone through the roof”.

Teams were working “round the clock” to keep shelves stocked, he said, adding: “We are using processes and staffing levels we set up in case of a no-deal Brexit.”

The supermarket exec added: “While I think people don’t need to panic buy and should just shop normally, I’m not sure the government can guarantee all food supply in all instances.”

One senior executive accused Mr Hancock of lying and told The Times: “I am really angry about it.”

Another said the Department of Health had got in touch with his company for the first time on Friday.”

A major problem in both the UK and USA is that the reins of “democratic” power are basically in the hands of idiots.

In the UK, we have someone posing as “Prime Minister” who shows every sign of repeating and enlarging upon his previous failures as journalist, editor, MP and Foreign Secretary (and that’s without even getting into his personal life), but doing that while intoning a rote-learned Latin or Greek tag, or making a silly joke.

In the end, for Boris-idiot, everything revolves around him, not in the sense of a Stalin, a Hitler, a Napoleon, who were centres of attention and power because they wished to achieve policy ends; in the case of Boris-idiot, the attention/power conflation is simply an end, indeed the end, in itself.

Below, a couple of well-meaning and logical tweets which will be totally ignored in the lemming-like rush to panic-buy:

Foxhunting

We dislike the sadists who use dogs to (illegally) root out badgers etc, or those who abuse other animals in the wild or in domestic or farm settings, yet foxhunting still continues despite the (typically) badly-drafted Tony Blair law passed nearly 20 years ago.

Foxhunting is an old and admittedly colourful tradition, which started several hundred years ago after the royals and aristocrats had hunted larger game to extinction or near extinction in the UK, or where such animals had been driven away by farming: bear, wolf, deer etc. It is now an archaic and cruel spectacle and practice which has had its day and should be banned outright.

I have no objection to drag-hunting or trail-hunting, so long as they are not used as an excuse for hunting the fox.

If hunts continue to hunt foxes, they have to be closed down by law.

I might add, that, in view of the illegality which is common in hunts, both in their hunting and in their preparations etc, as well as in the violent way they deal with protestors, they could scarcely complain if a greater degree of direct action were to be used by those opposed to hunting. The police in most rural areas are, at the least, turning blind eyes, or are complicit with the flouting of the hunting law. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Action directe…

Marr and Sophy Ridge

Saw bits of both The Andrew Marr Show (BBC1) and the Sophy Ridge on Sunday effort (SkyNews). Marr I have always found a peculiar dog’s dinner: a newspaper review, some discussion, one or two political interviews, a showbiz section, then cabaret to finish, the last at 0950 or so on a Sunday morning! For me, the format does not work. Today, the talking heads were

  • Israeli doormat, Priti Patel’s, former chief of staff (“No, Sir! She was no bully! No, Sir!”, which makes it rather odd that civil servants from three separate departments are lining up to denounce her and in some cases to sue her…); and
  • a couple of women journalists, neither very interesting and one irritatingly loud as well.

After that, there was an interview with a woman in Geneva, maybe Australian or New Zealander, who apparently is an expert in epidemics or something but who had little of interest to say.

Finally, Andrew Marr turned to John McDonnell, who has recovered from the post-election shock (when he looked like a frail pensioner tipped out of his wheelchair and mugged), and who now once again affects that “John Prescott” fake bonhomie that means so…little. McDonnell is very obviously a humourless and unpleasant man.

McDonnell still at least pretends to believe that Labour has a future, even under one of the three not very wise monkeys now contesting the leadership. McDonnell today seemed to me like nothing so much as a bored pianist, hitting most of the right notes but without enthusiasm. Living conditions, pay, poverty etc…No mention of mass immigration, though, which overall is such a terribly negative factor in the UK’s society, stretching NHS, schools, policing, housing and all the other areas. Also, reducing pay for almost everyone. More people seeking jobs means lower pay, overall.

CtgqCFYWIAA6yvR

The same applies to more people wanting social security, and every other type of State aid for citizens.

ClVU6MSWgAAmfK6

One notices, on Twitter in particular, how many people still look to Labour for socio-political salvation, but they are sadly misguided.

https://twitter.com/rozzleberry/status/1236578652449640448?s=20

Corbyn was actually better than the “three unwise monkeys” who are now vying for leadership, but he failed to get sufficient voter support (yes, partly by reason of the Jewish campaign against him in the msm and on social media, so be it…).

DLoVt8oXUAA5KMb

At present, there is no reason to think that Labour can get greatly (or any) more voter support than it got at the 2019 General Election, though it is true to say that, in a sense, what happened to Labour last year could happen to the Conservative Party next time, meaning 2019 Con-voters staying home (far more Lab voters stayed home in 2019 than switched to Conservative). If that happens next time, Con and Lab could find themselves not far apart, amid voter apathy and/or discontent.

As for Sophy Ridge on Sunday, pretty underwhelming. The lady herself seemed out of her depth and seemed to be reading from a script. Maybe others do that too, but if so they do it in a more polished manner. I was not familiar with her background, so looked her up:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophy_Ridge

Underwhelming, despite her career success at a relatively young age.

I doubt that I shall become a regular viewer.

A thought out of season

It could be that the Coronavirus peak in the UK will prove to be the biggest boon the criminal milieu has had since the Second World War blackout: police and courts, already stretched to the max, failing to function, streets empty, shops denuded of staff (both ordinary assistants and security staff). Not only that, but (if the epidemic is really bad) witnesses in trials failing to appear because unwell or deceased.

Disturbing people

People who play practical jokes rarely have a sense of humour. The newspaper report below features a couple perfectly happy to make their 3-y-o son unhappy in order to get Facebook “likes”. What appalling and stupid people.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/boy-3-left-gagging-after-21654153

The parents call that “harmless fun”. I think not. What does it teach the child? That it is OK to do silly, cruel things to others because you want to see them suffer? For so-called “fun”? These parents may well find that the seed they have planted turns into a tree which will fall on them in later years…

I find those parents, and others like them, disturbing. This is only a few steps removed from child abuse.

Labour Party poll

Jeremy Corbyn is bequeathing his successor a Labour Party so out of touch with mainstream British values that almost half of its members are ‘ashamed’ of their own country’s history, according to a new poll. After four years with Mr Corbyn at the helm, barely one in three of the Labour faithful are proud of the nation’s past, compared to more than 50 per cent of voters.” [Daily Mail, citing a YouGov poll]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8086771/Nearly-half-Labor-members-ashamed-countrys-history-new-poll-reveals.html

More than half of Brits – 53 per cent – were proud of the last 300 years of the nation’s history. But only 29 per cent of Labour members agreed, while 48 per cent of them said Britain’s past in that period was something to be ashamed of.” [Daily Mail]

I see two factors at work here. First of all, “Brits” in this context will include the blacks, browns, and all the rest who have flooded in (or been born here) in the past half century or so. They are not fully “British”, not really. Why should these aliens feel patriotic about our country?

Apart from that, there is the basically anti-British bias in education. Nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale eclipsed by (black woman) Mary Seacole, who ran a tea-room for officers during the Crimean War. Just one of many examples.

Anyway, it is clear that the Labour Party is in a slow but probably terminal decline. So is the Conservative Party, though.

Or to put it another way, “addled art”, a symptom of the society that produced it and tolerates it.

In Addled Art, [Sir Lionel] Lindsay stated that nature was never ugly; only in degeneration and decay could the spirit of ugliness dwell. So how did all this modern ugliness get foisted on an unsuspecting public? Lindsay’s answer was crisp. Three quarters of the European art dealers, critics & collectors were Jews. Jews excelled in the discovery of great values, well ahead of the Aryans. It was due to Jewish influence and Jewish money that nauseating paintings were sneakily slipped into galleries and private collections. “They have become the all-powerful masters of a rich and beautiful domain. They have their press, for making and destroying reputations, and in every country their agents are but hucksters”.

The commentary refers to Addled Art, first pub. Sydney, 1942.

Apply that extract about Addled Art to the Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin (etc) prominence since the 1980s. They were promoted by wealthy Jews such as Saatchi.

I once happened to share a table at a pavement cafe in Museum Street, London, with a fellow who was a Yugoslav (I think Croatian; this was 1989) and who had a nearby studio. He was a pretty fine artist (mostly sculpture, but also painting) judging from the photographs of his work that he showed to me. He told me that he was having to fight constantly against the prejudice against figurative art. The “experts”, critics, dealers did not want it. I suppose that most of those making money out of non-figurative art, in London (as in New York etc) were and are Jews.

Hirst. Emin. Others. Sick society. “Artists” as money-makers and little more…

A favourite piece of music

Nature or nurture?

An old question. In fact, one which has been debated since ancient times: “People learn to be Jewish from their parents.” [Juvenal, The Satires, Satire IX, lines 14.96-106]. I suppose that that is why the Jew establishment is far more strict in trying to ensure that Jewish festivals are celebrated by all Jews than are the Christian churches and rulers (at least since the 16thC) in relation even to the most important Christian festivals, Christmas and Easter (in the West, Christmas takes pole position, but in Russia and the Orthodox world generally, Easter is the more important of the two).

Even people with my general outlook, who might say that “race is the root-stock, culture is the fruit (or flower)”, are at the same time compelled to acknowledge the importance of environment: upbringing, education, the way children and young people are treated.

Those who take the view that race, ethnicity, nationality etc are of no importance are as mistaken as those who believe that only those factors are important causally in terms of producing finished members of society.

[above: Paris under German occupation, 1942]

I have not been to Paris since the 1990s, except to change planes a few times at CDG and Orly (and a couple of transfers between those airports). Even in the early 1990s, the changes, under the surface, were great as compared with the 1980s or, even more, my first visits, in 1970 and 1971. In 1971, when I stayed for three weeks with a very nice French couple in the 5th arrondisement, Paris was totally different from London. Now not quite so much. The EU, and/or societal change, has led to a degree of convergence (with the caveat that I have not stayed in Paris for about 25 years). At least I have missed the “City of Light” being invaded by Africa and the Middle East to the extent that it has been in the past two decades.

La belle France…

Mike Stuchbery and Tommy Robinson

It will be recalled that Stuchbery claims, risibly, to “work three jobs”. Here he is, today, in Munich, claiming to be on holiday, while playing at his faux “journalist” persona (he scribbles a bit for the pathetic online “newspaper”, Byline Times).

His UK associate, “Roanna, AntiFashWitch” is still remarkably quiet about what is happening to Stuchbery’s crowdfunded legal action against the activist known as Tommy Robinson. They have raised, in the past 4 months, just over half the £20,000 for which they appealed. Even now, some naive mug donates £5 or £10, about one donation per week.

To date, the only action taken by their retained solicitor seems to have been a simple and undetailed Letter before Action to Robinson (sub nom Stephen Yaxley-Lennon), sent in November 2019.

I have always been sceptical about the “legal action” they propose(d) and about what will happen to the (wholly inadequate) monies that they have raised from about 690 members of the public.

Priti Patel

I have been meaning to add Priti Patel to my “Deadhead MPs” series, but have always been sidetracked. At least this latest scandal involving her will provide extra material. “Always look on the bright side of life, doo doo, doo doo doo doo [etc]”.

I have from time to time observed that only the accession to power in Uganda of Idi Amin saved Priti Patel from spending her life behind the counter of a Kampala grocery store. Now we see (again, recalling her previous fiasco as International Development Secretary) that she has proven inadequate for the role of a Cabinet Minister. She simply does not have the horsepower…That, and the fact that her only way to deal with others is to try to intimidate them. I hope that she is binned soon. That will be another doormat for Israel gone up the chimney, at least politically.

Diary Blog, 3 February 2020

Good morning.

Streatham incident

A part of London I know slightly but not well. A couple of times, c.1980, I had a beer in the pub just about where the incident occurred. A few times, round about the same year, I had a milkshake or whatever in the local McDonalds (the first one I had ever patronized, I believe, and quite possibly the last, except for the odd visit to the ones in Victoria Street and at Marble Arch, and one in Maryland). I also had a (dishonest and generally non-paying) Sri Lankan instructing solicitor in Streatham in the early 1990s; I attended her office for a reception once. She killed herself a few weeks later. I think that the last time I was in Streatham was probably about 25 years ago.

Leaving aside reminiscence, it seems that the Government response to the latest terrorist incident is to say that —ill-defined— “terror” convicts will in future have to serve more or less their full sentence, rather than be released on licence earlier (most prisoners get out at half-time).

Tweets about the incident, many misinformed or simply laughable, now rain down…as do comments by the sort of idiot-MPs we now have in Parliament. For example, here is  Bell Ribeiro-Addy, the MP for Streatham, who went to the scene of the attack. She said: “The perpetrator didn’t serve his full sentence, which is questionable – what is more questionable is why he needed to be under surveillance. If someone needs to be under surveillance it brings the question on why they were released in the first place.” [Guardian]

This is what Wikipedia says about her:

Ribeiro-Addy was born and raised in Streatham, growing up on a council estate on Brixton Hill. She is Christian and of Ghanaian descent.[3][4] Privately educated at the independent Streatham & Clapham High School, Ribeiro-Addy graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with Ethics & Philosophy of Science from the University of Bradford later gaining a Master of Arts in Medical Law & Ethics at Queen Mary University of London, awarded in 2007, and a Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School, awarded in 2015.[5] She was the National Black Students’ Officer for the National Union of Students (NUS) from 2008 to 2010, national co-ordinator of the Student Assembly Against Racism, and the national convenor of the NUS’ Anti-Racism/Anti-Fascism campaign.

So…Bell Ribeiro-Addy has, as well as her grand-sounding but probably rather easy first degree and (ditto or double…) Masters’ degree, a “graduate diploma in law”, yet she seemingly cannot understand the simple concept that people are released from prison according to strict rules and regulations under law. They cannot be kept in prison for arbitrary reasons. This is the UK, not a banana republic like Ghana, from where Ms. Ribeiro-Addy’s parents came. The UK may be becoming a banana state, and MPs such as Ms. Ribeiro-Addy are accelerating that process, but we are, thankfully, not quite there yet. I feel a blog article in my “Deadhead MPs” series coming on…

The “Secret Barrister” on Twitter, often worth reading, has this to say about the governmental response:

It will be recalled that I have previously blogged about Dominic Cummings, Boris-idiot’s lunatic-in-chief:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2020/01/03/dominic-cummings-a-government-of-dystopia-and-lunacy-posing-as-genius/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/les-eminences-grises-of-dystopia/

Boris-idiot, Dominic Cummings and Priti Patel at the head of domestic policy; what could possibly go wrong?…

“Secret Barrister” adds:

The tweeter below attacks the “Secret Barrister”, but he himself has little (in fact nothing) intelligent to say, which means that he has a good chance of becoming a “Conservative” MP at some point in the future, so long as the Jew lobby does not dislike him.

Another tweeter seems to imagine that the terror attack might have been stopped, had the local police station still been open and full of police, though she adds a rider:

https://twitter.com/Nadine_Writes/status/1224022338842300417?s=20

Thus speaks a would-be “journalist” who writes for the Huffington Post joke “newspaper”. Her assignment for today? To look up the meaning of the word “uncanny”…Her usage reminds me of how (until someone told him he sounded stupid) Barack Obama would, in almost every second or third sentence, use the word “extraordinary”, and with great sonority…

As to the police, I do not see how their response can be faulted. They took out the terrorist only minutes (perhaps less than one minute) after he started his rampage.

It may be that the terrorist knew or assumed that he was under close surveillance, and that that was why he stole a knife rather than simply buying one with cash: had he bought one, the watchers would have assumed that he was about to attack; he probably underestimated the skill of the surveillance people, thinking that he could steal a knife without anyone seeing that he had done so. Having said that, some witnesses are saying that the terrorist took the knife openly. If that is right, my theory falls and I do not know what to think except that maybe the terrorist was seeking some spurious Islamist “martyrdom”, i.e. “suicide by cop”.

The governmental response is pathetic. The terrorist  had served a relatively short sentence. Had he had to serve the remaining months, would that have changed anything? No.

Now, while it is true that most (the vast majority of) Muslims in the UK would not commit such acts, or (arguably) even support them if done by others, a certain percentage of that Muslim population would either do them or support them. Active would-be terrorists are few.

There are, officially, about 2,660,000 Muslims in the UK, so the real figure may be about 3 million. Let us say that 1 in 10,000 is a terrorist or a would-be terrorist. That’s still 300. Not huge, but the State does not have the resources to keep 300 possible terrorists under 24/7 surveillance. What if the ratio is 1:1,000? That would be 3,000 terrorists. You see the problem. It takes dozens of operators, or at least 20 as a minimum, to keep close surveillance on even one person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 300 x 20 = 6,000 officers. 3,000 x 20 = 60,000 officers. No can do. Even if the number of police/MI5 etc needed is only 3,000, the burden is still too heavy. It’s not possible.

The only long-term solution is for the UK to become a relatively-homogenous ethnostate.

Mike Hoare

The legendary contract soldier, Mike Hoare, has died at the age of 100. Long ago, I knew a couple of people who had known him in Africa.

Of course, kneejerk “antifascists”, bien-pensant scribblers etc will denigrate someone of this sort, but Hoare was a hero who saved many people from torture and death during the Simba rebellion in the Congo (1964-65). Not only Europeans, but Africans too. Nuns etc. Read Congo Mercenary before you judge him harshly:

The sort of adventurer and hero “Not Wanted On Voyage” in contemporary Britain, sadly.

Scotland and England

For myself, I am content to let the Scots leave the UK should they wish it, though in my view it is an unconvincing “independence” that would see Scotland dominated by the EU and international finance, by (presumably) NATO too, and with a population likely to be swamped by mass non-European immigration over time (though Scotland is at present over 95% white, which is probably why few Scots sympathize with English people who despair at their country becoming black/brown— “I’m All Right, Jack”…).

Any pull-out by Scotland would of course have considerable repercussions in terms of rump-UK politics. The 650 Westminster MPs would become 591 and, with boundary changes, perhaps only about 560. The Conservative Party would be dominant in the short-term, with the Scottish SNP and LibDem contingent no longer there.

Diary Blog, 13 January 2020

I see that the philosopher Roger Scruton has died.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2020/01/12/sir-roger-scruton-conservative-philosopher-wide-interests-lightning/

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7879737/As-philosopher-Sir-Roger-Scruton-dies-75-TOBY-YOUNG-pays-tribute-eminent-intellectual.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Scruton

I never met him, and rather disapproved of some —by no means all— of his views (as seen in the newspapers, mainly) and activities (e.g. foxhunting), but he was an important figure in his own field and in terms of socio-political life.

He was, arguably, better known in Central Europe than in the UK. I recall seeing a whole window full of his works, in Czech translation, in a Prague bookshop. That was in 1999, 11 years after I first saw the city (in 1988 it was still under socialist rule).

“Scruton published a rueful article in the Spectator magazine, lamenting the Maoist climate of intolerance sweeping through our institutions. ‘We in Britain are entering a dangerous social condition in which the direct expression of opinions that conflict — or merely seem to conflict — with a narrow set of orthodoxies is instantly punished by a band of self-appointed vigilantes,’ he wrote.” [Daily Mail].

Bravo!

Naturally, those who supported his work in trying to bring greater freedom to the former socialist countries East of the “Iron Curtain” are out in force. Here is a tweet by the Jewish historian, Anne Applebaum:

Sadly, her support for freedom in socialist Central and Eastern Europe in the 1970s and 1980s was not reflected in her behaviour in blocking me on Twitter a few years ago. I  had never tweeted to her, as far as I can recall, so I assume that I was blocked for purely political reasons. Not very “freedom-loving”…Her works about Stalinism are interesting (and a very important resource), though. I myself own a copy of her book, GULAG: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulag:_A_History

https://epdf.pub/gulag-a-history74976bda855bfe907213efba5fb6b06345052.html

Scruton was at one time friendly with a couple of people I knew in South London. That would have been in the 1970s. He would visit on his bicycle (an Oxbridge affectation which must have been hazardous in South London even then); he was at that time sometimes at Goldsmiths’ College in New Cross and may have taught there on occasion, though his main base was Birkbeck College (University of London) in Bloomsbury.

Scruton apparently enjoyed talking philosophy with the people I knew, but he ditched them and cut off contact after one of them was reported upon by the trash press as being “far right”. He was afraid that the connection might damage his career, which was just starting to take off at the time.

Curious to read that, in 1974-76, when he was 30-32, Scruton read for the Bar, at the Inns of Court School of Law (which I myself attended in 1987-88). He was Called in 1978, at age 34, though he never practised. I wonder why he bothered to become a barrister; because the Bar was a —small-c— “conservative” profession? Maybe because being even nominally a barrister was putting two-fingers up to his modest origins in High Wycombe, and to the father who stopped speaking to him after he won a place at Cambridge? Was that also one reason why he took up foxhunting?

Scruton was certainly interested in money, setting up private companies etc. Again, perhaps a result of financial insecurity in his earlier life.

A mixed picture. Not unflawed, but a substantial figure.

Labour and the Jews

Charles James, author of a report which has been seen by The Daily Telegraph entitled “General Election Part Two: Why didn’t we win?”, wrote: “Many of us believe that the row about anti-Semitism has been stoked by the government of Israel and its helpers in the UK.”” [Daily Telegraph]

The country that hates trees

Sometimes it seems to me that English people hate trees. In fact, most do not, but every now and then you see newspaper reports of disputes about them, such as one seen a couple of years ago, where most of the people living in a street of surpassing ugliness somewhere in the North East wanted the only tree in the street chopped down. It was not even very tall or wild. Similarly, the neighbour-disputes about trees. In most cases, the trees are not in any way “dangerous” (an idee fixe in England— in, say, Germany, trees often grow close to houses, as indeed is the case in, say, Russia).

I attribute part of the blame to the “Thatcher’s children” types, the kind of pleb-Cons who, especially in certain kinds of neighbourhood, spend much time on “Do It Yourself” repairs and “improvements”, when not washing and valeting their prized cars. God forbid that their little gardens (probably tarmacked or gravelled in front and laid to lawn in back, with statutory tiny and pointless “water feature” as recommended by some TV “landscape” guru) should have hedges or trees that might even, at times, look slightly “untidy”.

Times such as this week, when high winds are expected, tend to bring out the anti-tree idiots, afraid that trees that have stood for decades or even centuries will be uprooted.

I think that it was Chekhov who wrote that “for some people, a tree is sacred”. Amen.

Cruelty to animals

I saw this: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/cruel-brothers-starved-horses-death-21268360 and it reminded me that the law is far too lenient in dealing with cruelty to animals.

The defendants in this case are “travellers” of some sort. I have little time for Priti Patel, but if she can screw down on such horrible riff-raff I shall applaud her.

Labour leadership

So Clive Lewis is out of the race before it even started. I cannot think why…(well, maybe I can…). Various factors.

Lewis, like Obama, is supposedly “black” by self-description, despite being, in reality, “mixed-race”, or in the language of the people, “a half-caste”:

I cannot imagine what degree of narcissism and low self-awareness Clive Lewis must have, to even imagine that he might be a suitable Labour leader and potential Prime Minister. Incredible.

À la recherche du temps perdu

I happened to see on a map the tiny street off the Rue de Rivoli where I stayed in a small hotel with my first wife in, I think, 1990: la Rue des Mauvais Garcons (Street of Bad Boys). No doubt my harsher critics will think that an apt street for me!

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rue_des_Mauvais-Gar%C3%A7ons

I see that the Hotel Rivoli, decent but very basic, is only £95 equivalent per night even now, despite its good and central location (our room had a balcony and overlooked the Rue de Rivoli; it was one of the corner rooms shown in the photo below). I think that they charged £18 or so in the money of 30 years ago.

Harry and the Royal Mulatta— latest

Opinion poll

An opinion poll released this evening shows that Labour’s likely share of the popular vote has declined 4 points even since the General Election. Not exactly a shock.

Labour should have stood up to the Jewish/Zionists (the “Israel lobby”) and hit back hard on issues such as the way British people are tricked, bamboozled and exploited. Never give the lobby an inch. Oh, and stop shedding fake tears over the hugely overblown “holocaust” farrago. Apart from anything else, the Second World War (in which about 80 million died, about a tenth of whom were German) ended 75 years ago!

The opinion poll indicates that 16% of voters do not favour any System party.

Corbyn

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7818831/Jeremy-Corbyn-tweets-happy-Hanukhah-message-sparking-fierce-response-Jewish-editor.html

Corbyn is still trying to say to the Jews, “hey, man! Respectttt!”. What an idiot. “They” will hate you whatever you say. Anyway, why wish them “Happy Hanukah”?

Many misguided Christians think that the Jewish religious festival of “Hanukah” is somehow analogous to Christmas, the profound Christian religious festival of birth and peace. Wrong. “Hanukah” is, like most other Jewish religious festivals, an ethno-nationalist celebration of resistance and victory (of Jewish triumphalism if you like), in this case the rebellion of the Jews against their Greco-Syrian overlords in the 2nd Century B.C. (or “B.C.E.”):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanukkah

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanukkah#Story

What was the Jewish response to Corbyn’s olive branch? “Jeremy Corbyn‘s annual ‘happy Hannukkah’ message to Jews in Britain and around the world has prompted a furious reaction from, amongst others, the editor of a Jewish newspaper, who told the Labour leader: ‘go f*** yourself!’“… [Daily Mail]

Need one say more? Corbyn has seen and experienced the way in which the Jewish lobby has conspired against him and the Labour Party for over four years. Why give them the satisfaction of throwing a peaceful greeting back in your face? Just cold-shoulder them.

As with the Diane Abbott situation, Corbyn seems incapable of learning from experience…

Meanwhile, Labour leadership contender Rebecca Long-Bailey is attacked by the Daily Mail (which seems to be afraid of her…):

  • “Labour frontrunner Rebecca Long-Bailey has said her political outlook was shaped by watching her father worry about losing his job at Salford Docks
  • But the Shadow Business Secretary, born in September 1979, would only have been two when the docks closed in 1982.” [Daily Mail]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7818065/Momentum-founder-advising-Labour-leadership-hopeful-Rebecca-Long-Bailey.html

Well, if Jews can be terribly upset about the death or disappearance of remote relatives that they never even met, and indeed who died or disappeared long before they, the descendants, were even born, why should Rebecca Long-Bailey not…? (well, you get the idea…).

Looks like there is something rotten in the state of Boris…

Blyth Valley

I am reading “mainstream” analyses saying, as my blog did in the days since the General Election, that the Conservatives only have those Northern and Midland seats “on loan”, though I do not use that term. I said that the Cons have “shallow roots” there.

The msm are still trying to say that huge numbers of voters turned to the Conservatives; but we know that the Conservative vote increased by a mere 1.2% nationally over 2017. The real story was and is the collapse of trust in Labour and support for Labour. It is probably true that the Con vote increased in those Northern and Midland areas by more than the national average, and did not increase, or it fell, in some other areas.

In the most striking result, perhaps, Blyth Valley went Con after 69 years (the seat was established in 1950 and won by Lab, by Alfred Robens who later, as Lord Robens, was chief of the National Coal Board).

The 2019 Con vote, however, only increased by 5.8% over 2017. The real story is earlier: the Con vote increased from 13.3% in 1997 to 15.9% in 2001, was 13.9% in 2005, and 16.6% in 2010; not much difference. However, the 21.7% the Cons got in 2015 jumped to 36.9% in 2017, then 42.7% in 2019.

What happened? What happened was that national sentiment increased and “proletarian” old-style “socialist” sentiment took second place to that.

Only once in the 69 years did the Conservatives come 2nd where there was a third candidate at Blyth Valley, and that was in 1960 when an Independent stood. The Conservative Party has otherwise always come 3rd or 4th.

In 2010, there was an identifiable “national” vote at Blyth Valley: BNP 4.4%, UKIP 4.3%, English Democrats 0.8%. So 9.5% in toto (Conservatives 13.3%, LibDems 27.2%, Lab 44.5%).

In 2015, only UKIP represented a kind of “national” vote, and received 22.3%, beating the Conservatives (21.7%). Lab won with 46.3%. You can see that Labour only beat the combined UKIP/Con vote by a couple of points.

In 2017, no UKIP or other “national” party, and Labour’s vote surged to 55.9%, easily beating the Conservatives’ 36.9%, but in 2019, Brexit Party stood, getting 8.3%, and the Labour vote collapsed to 40.9%, allowing the Conservatives to win on 42.7%.

For me, the dynamics are clear. The Brexit vote only went partly to Brexit Party (which also was probably perceived as not fully “national”. The Conservatives benefited, though —as said above— by only 5-6 points over 2017. Turnout was 3 points down from 2017. The Brexit Party votes were probably from former Labour voters. Labour only lost to the Cons at Blyth Valley by 1.8 points. Those 8.3% Brexit Party votes were crucial. Had Brexit Party not been there, the vote would have been closer by far; Lab might have won.

The old “proletarian” certainties have disappeared at Blyth Valley, along with the coal mines. Only traces remain. That has cut the ties binding the voters to Labour.

Leaving the Brexit issue aside, as presumably will be the case next time, it can be seen that Blyth Valley will either revert to Labour or may go to a new party, so long as it is both “national” and “social”…

That may be the case in most of the new “Conservative” seats.

NHS

What was that that Boris-idiot was saying about “no plans to sell off NHS”?

Dan Hodges, faux-proletarian, who lives in his mother’s house in Blackheath (she being the once-famous actress, Glenda Jackson), describes Corbyn supporters as “parasites”…So speaks the scribbler who scribbles for the Mail on Sunday (formerly for the Sunday Telegraph) and of whom Wikipedia says: “Hodges is the son of the actress and former Labour MP Glenda Jackson and her then husband Roy Hodges.[4] He worked as a parliamentary researcher for his mother between 1992 and 1997, describing it as ‘straight-forward nepotism’.” “His former colleague Mehdi Hasan described his…role with The Daily Telegraph as one where he “now performs the role of the right’s useful idiot”. “In 2014, Hodges co-founded the Migration Matters Trust, a pro-immigration pressure group chaired by Barbara RocheLord Dholakia and Nadhim Zahawi and run by Atul Hatwal.”

I know which group of (((parasites))) I should prefer to see driven out of Labour!

Boris Johnson “not in charge of his own government” [The Independent]

The Choice Is Not “Boris or Remain”: You Can Be For Brexit Yet Also Be Against Boris Johnson And His ZOG Cabinet

Preamble

The UK is in an extraordinary political and Constitutional mess. What is more extraordinary is that the person who should be trying to sort it out, as Prime Minister, is not only not doing so (and is in any case incapable of doing so, being totally unfit for his office), but is actively making the situation worse.

I do not often support the words of pro-Israel drone Douglas Murray,  but he has it at least largely right here [see below]:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7436835/MPs-decided-know-better-public-says-political-author-DOUGLAS-MURRAY.html

Boris Johnson etc

I have blogged in the recent past about Boris Johnson and also about his eminence grise, Dominic Cummings:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/les-eminences-grises-of-dystopia/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/09/01/boris-johnson-a-kind-of-coup-detat-and-the-likely-early-general-election-thoughts/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/07/25/the-boris-johnson-cabinet/

I have been saying for years that Boris Johnson is unfit for any office. Finally, after a decade or more, much of the the msm and also the more aware part of the public are catching up with me. I despise pretty much everything about Boris Johnson, who has been puffed for years as “Prime Minister in Waiting” by a dozy, complaisant or conspiring Press, radio and TV.

Boris is an idiot, the very words used to describe him by Israeli Embassy political intelligence officer Shai Masot, caught by Al Jazeera TV conspiring with former Labour MP Joan Ryan. The exact words? “…Boris is busy, you know. You know he is an idiot, but so far he has become the minister of foreign affairs without any kind of responsibilitiesWe like Boris”. Of course (((they))) do! Boris-Idiot will do anything that the Jewish lobby, Israel, or the “tail-wags-dog” USA want.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/video/2017/jan/07/israeli-official-shai-masot-discredit-uk-mps-undercover-video

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-idiot-shai-masot-sir-alan-duncan-filmed-secret-camera-take-down-mps-israel-a7515566.html

What is it about the UK, that an idiot is suddenly thought some kind of minor genius if he went to Eton and Oxford and can recall some of the Latin and Greek he learned at school? What is there in Boris behind the rote-learned classical Greek and the carefully-cultivated, careless “English” “upper class” persona? Which of course is largely a fake, because Boris is part-Jew, part-Circassian Turk, part God-knows-what, born in the USA, brought up partly there and also in Belgium.

Behind all the playacting, behind the Eton and Oxford, behind the pathetic am-dram reprise of Winston Churchill, what is in the middle of the onion? Anything? Nothing?

Boris Johnson, as I have repeatedly said (and with increasing frustration as he has been repeatedly promoted to the level of his incompetence— the Peter Principle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle), Boris is unfit to be in public life at all. In fact, he has outdone the Peter Principle, in that he has been incompetent in all of the jobs he has ever had (with the arguable exception of the editorship of The Spectator), yet has talked his way, with a fair wind from connections and msm, to become journalist, editor, MP, Mayor of London, MP again, Cabinet minister, and now Prime Minister, despite having been incompetent in all or almost all of those roles.

This government is an entirely illegitimate pro-Israel regime. All of its ministers and most of its MPs are members of Conservative Friends of Israel. Some are part-Jew, some  full, e.g. Grant Shapps, dodgy business type from the Hertfordshire Borshch Belt, who was head of the youth wing of UK “Bnai Brith”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%27nai_B%27rith

This government is undoubtedly the least impressive in living memory. Few of its members, if any, have real or substantial achievement to their name. Some, notably East African Asian Priti Patel, incredibly now again a Cabinet minister after having been sacked by Theresa May, are or were Israeli agents, certainly agents of influence, possibly more.

There is no doubt that the Boris Johnson government is set to increase the repression of free speech where it affects Jews and Zionism. There are probably secret plans to introduce the mediaeval-style laws against “holocaust” “denial” that we see in several other European states. That alone means that Boris-Idiot and his Cabinet and his government have to be removed. Whatever it takes. At present, Boris Idiot would find it hard to introduce such repressive laws (unless with the help of Labour Friends of Israel MPs), tightening even further the repression introduced (mainly) under Tony Blair and also Theresa May. The Commons votes might not be there for that. However, were the —misnamed— Conservatives to win a Commons majority, we should expect all sorts of police-state actions to increase as the “Conservative” ranks would be padded out with unthinking newly-elected lobby-fodder.

That horrible bastard John Mann, who might well soon have been deselected by his local Labour Party anyway, has now accepted a well-paid role as the Government’s “anti-Semitism” “tsar” and will not be standing for re-election :

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/7754dd94-d191-11e9-bfe0-b5ac4ce6ca95

Note the following:

Mann, who will be based in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, claims his sole aim is to make the UK a haven for the Jewish community.” (it already is, and that is a major problem).

In her last act as prime minister, Theresa May appointed Mann, who backed Brexit and this week voted with the government to try to block emergency legislation intended to stop no-deal, as an independent adviser to the government on tackling anti-semitism.”

“Boris Johnson has since upgraded the role, underlining the importance the government attaches to the issue.” [The Times].

There you have it: Theresa May and Boris Johnson (both of part-Jew origins: one of Johnson’s great-grandfathers was an Orthodox Jew rabbi in Lithuania!) head and headed the two most pro-Jew and pro-Zionist governments in British history. Arguably the two worst-ever from other points of view too.

CmmGfz5WgAAWy1mCm3s14vW8AA8yIkCtdcka4WAAApkQ6C7_6DhaW4AA5xQV

What about Brexit?

I have been pro-Brexit for years, well before the 2016 Referendum. Britain must try to get out of the EU “lobster-pot” (easy to enter, almost impossible to exit). I tweeted (until the Jew-Zionists had me barred from Twitter in 2018) and have blogged (since late 2016) about these matters.

Other states have voted not to go further into the lobster-pot. They were forced to “rethink” and “vote again”…Likewise, if states like Portugal and Austria elected any “far right” MPs, the EU cold-shouldered them until the “mistake” was “corrected”. The same squeeze is now being put onto Hungary and Italy. This is a tyranny, though —so far— of the “iron fist in velvet glove” variety.

As soon as the 2016 Referendum was over, I was predicting a long campaign by NWO/ZOG/EU to reverse the Referendum one way or another. Either Remain, or “BRINO” (Brexit In Name Only). I have no idea to what extent the criminal mishandling of the Brexit negotiations was deliberate, but I have my suspicions. Anyway, there it is.

The EEC was supposedly a matter of intra-Europe free trade and a customs union to facilitate that. When the UK joined the EEC and then voted (in a fixed referendum, in which the pro-EEC side had 10x the money to buy publicity etc…) to remain, in the 1970s, the bloc was still mainly beneficial. However, just as Bismarck’s Zollverein paved the way for a German unitary (unified) state in the late 19th Century, so the EEC paved the way for a transformation of the free states of Western and Central Europe into the EC and then, via Maastricht, the EU. The precursor to a one-Europe state.

I might not even object to that, were that EU superstate to be a true federation of equals and not under sinister “New World Order” [“NWO”] control, but that is not the case. NWO and “ZOG” [“Zionist Occupation Government”] work together to impose, over time, a ghastly and repressive tyranny, one that encompasses both Europe and North America and which aspires to control the whole world in time. George Orwell was a prophet. The EU is only part of the way towards the ultimate destination.

BhFozwVCQAAjLNT

We are therefore left with a paradox: I want the UK to get out, fully out, of the EU, but also want an end to the present Boris Johnson “Conservative” government.

There is no place for my views in the present black-and-white msm narrative being put before the public, which narrative has room only for a binary choice:

  • No Deal Brexit + Boris; or
  • Remain/Brexit In Name Only/EU-approved “deal” + No Boris.

I reject that binary choice. It is just a couple of flickering shadows on the wall of the cave.

The best thing would be for the UK to leave the EU, and for the Conservatives to be heavily defeated at a general election.

There is no prospect that Corbyn and his deadheads can run a successful government either, so that might well open the door for a real social-national movement and party (which latter does not exist at present; it must first exist, naturally).

Desperate times, desperate measures. Only when people need real leadership from a social-national party and leader can that party and leader arise from obscurity to their true stature.

Update, 9 September 2019

I wrote the words below some three months ago, in an earlier blog post about Boris-Idiot. They have worn rather well, if I say so myself. Give that man a cee-gar!

“We keep hearing that “Boris Johnson has the ability to be Prime Minister, but does he have the necessary character?”

My response is “where has Boris Johnson proven that he has the ability?”; on the contrary, he has, if anything, proven that he has not the ability.”

The Boris Johnson Cabinet

I start this examination of the new Boris Johnson government by posting part of an interview with Nicholas Soames MP [Con, Mid Sussex] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Soames

I have, of course, blogged about Boris Johnson before:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/07/19/after-a-2019-general-election-what/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/07/06/the-conservatives-boris-johnson-upcoming-political-events-and-the-currents-in-society/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/06/12/boris-a-story-for-our-times/

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/06/09/the-conservative-party-leadership-contenders-in-outline/

Any brief perusal of my above blogs about Boris Johnson will show that I am unremittingly hostile to him, despite the fact that I have always favoured Brexit (which he also now does, though only or mainly because it suits his narcissistic ambitions). What I want to do in this blog article is to examine those he has chosen to be in and around his Cabinet. I cannot examine every one for reasons of space and length, so I have chosen to focus on a few key players, as well as on the overall thrust of this new Cabinet.

Priti Patel

Thick as two short planks, Priti Patel is now a “British” Cabinet minister, having been saved from spending her life serving customers behind the counter of a Kampala grocery shop by her parents having immigrated to the UK, “several years” before Idi Amin became Ugandan leader in 1971.

Priti Patel is a member of Conservative Friends of Israel, and was exposed as being effectively an agent of Israel only 2 years ago. This daughter of Indian immigrants, this Israeli agent, this expenses-freeloader (she “employed” her husband part-time, on expenses, from 2014-2017) and supporter of harsh and cruel policies is now going to rule over British people as Home Secretary.

https://twitter.com/Citadelen/status/1154135023408336897

https://twitter.com/SFoP_Palestine/status/1154128443363086337

https://twitter.com/SFoP_Palestine/status/1154127392383705088

Hard to believe that an MP, let alone a Cabinet minister, could be as plainly thick as Priti Patel really is, but the fact that she is has been proven time and again. Example:

https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/24778/priti_patel/witham

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priti_Patel

Esther McVey

A few facts about Esther McVey in government:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/esther-mcvey-housing-minister-record-11831140

Now Minister of State for Housing, not normally a Cabinet post, but it seems that she is either being treated as a member of the Cabinet or is at least attending. It will be recalled that she was partly responsible for implementation of the ghastly “bedroom tax” created by [Conservative Friends of Israel] Iain Dunce Duncan Smith and jew “lord” Freud.

McVey is someone who was willing to accept and promote the attacks on the poor, disabled and unemployed (and the elderly) during her previous time in government. She is also a member of Conservative Friends of Israel. She is yet another one who is as thick as two short planks, her cartoon view of the world being expressed in a Liverpudlian accent almost impossible to understand.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esther_McVey

Dominic Raab

Half-Jew, though supposedly not brought up culturally Jewish. Hard-faced careerist. As far as I know, another member of Conservative Friends of Israel. Has visited and worked in Israel/Palestine.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/who-dominic-raab-foreign-secretary-12882420

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominic_Raab

Sajid Javid

A Pakistani, though born in the UK. A very weird individual, who is obsessed by the Jewess known as “the philosopher of selfishness”, Ayn Rand:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayn_Rand

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayn_Rand#Political_influence

Sajid Javid, a member of Conservative Friends of Israel, is so pro-Israel that he even spent his honeymoon there, despite he and his wife both being non-Jewish. As Home Secretary (2018-2019), he made the astonishing assertion that he supports the violent “antifa” thugs [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antifa_(United_States)

and he has been seen at Scotland Yard events alongside Jewish Zionist “activists” such as Stephen Silverman of the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA” cabal (Silverman being someone who has been exposed in open court as a serial troll and harasser, and who used pseudonyms to disguise his identity while doing that). Silverman and the CAA attempt to influence government and police policy in favour of Zionism and Israel, working with groups such as “UK Lawyers for Israel” etc, the memberships of which often overlap.

Javid, unsurprisingly in view of his background, thinks that mass immigration has benefited the UK!

Javid became a director of Deutsche Bank in 2000, leaving in 2009, by which time that bank had become one of the main “drivers” (causes) of the worldwide banking crisis:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Bank#Financial_crisis_years_(2007%E2%80%932012)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sajid_Javid#Banking_career

This person, Sajid Javid, is now the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Cabinet minister in charge of government finances, tax, overall financial strategy etc. Very worrying…

CYHP3gvWYAArn3_

Grant Shapps

Jew and member of Conservative Friends of Israel. Exposed in 2012 as having used two pseudonyms in order to basically cheat members of the public by selling them dodgy business and self-improvement courses! He even got into the Palace of Westminster using those false IDs! In fact the Jew has a history of dodgy business dealings, tax dodging and cheating the public.

Now Shapps has been appointed to the Cabinet as Transport Secretary! You really could not make it up. Speaking of transport, when will my train arrive?

Hitlers-train-Amerika

This “government” is, in the immortal words of Johnny Mercer MP (applied to Theresa May’s tenure) a “shitshow”. In fact, if the Theresa May government was a “shitshow”, Boris-idiot’s one is going to be a total shitshow!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Shapps

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Shapps#Denials_of_pseudonym_and_second_job

Mark Spencer

Not a Cabinet minister, but the new Government Chief Whip, who attends Cabinet and is a key figure, especially in a government with no majority and even with Democratic Unionist Party [DUP] support only a majority of 3 or 4, which will probably soon be 1 or 2, depending on the result of the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election and whether Charlie Elphicke MP [Con, Dover] is allowed to remain on bail (and so vote in the Commons), having been charged with three sexual assaults against two women:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jul/22/tory-mp-charlie-elphicke-charged-with-sexual-assault

The Guardian journalist and Chief Political Correspondent, Jessica Elgot (a Jewish Zionist who, if memory serves, blocked me on Twitter before I was expelled), has penned this cheerful piece about Spencer:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/23/relative-unknown-mark-spencer-becomes-chief-whip

Jessica Elgot’s Guardian piece somehow neglects to mention that “Spencer attracted criticism in early 2015 after suggesting that a man with learning difficulties who had been left without food or power after being sanctioned for arriving four minutes late at the benefit office should “learn the discipline of timekeeping“” [Wikipedia]; or that

In January 2016, Spencer was one of 72 MPs who voted down an amendment in Parliament on rental homes being “fit for human habitation” who were themselves landlords who derived an income from a property.” [Wikipedia]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Spencer_(British_politician)#Controversies

In other words, Mark Spencer is a hard-faced bully type, as well as being a parasite landlord. What a horrible bastard.

I wonder whether new Chief Whip, Mark Spencer MP, is also a member of Conservative Friends of Israel? IMO, odds-on…

The immediate reaction about the new government from John Rentoul

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/boris-johnson-reshuffle-cabinet-patel-raab-general-election-a9019661.html

My View

This is a disaster of a Cabinet, a disaster of a government, led by a part-Jew public entertainer who probably should never have been even a backbench MP, certainly never have become even a junior minister, let alone a Cabinet minister. That such a person is now Prime Minister of the UK, and leader of one of the two main System parties, is an indictment of that same political system. The political and electoral systems are broken. The House of Commons is full of trash.

What else? Well, as we have seen, all those examined (including Boris-idiot) are Conservative Friends of Israel, with at least one (I think maybe three) being in effect Israeli agent(s) of influence (if not more). The same will be true of the rest of the Cabinet.

This is not only the most pro-Jewish Lobby, pro-Israel Cabinet ever, but the least truly British (in any real sense; yes, they have British passports; actually, some have or had others, like Boris-idiot, who actually was a US citizen with a US passport until quite recently!); Sajid Javid— Pakistani; Dominic Raab— part-Jew, Priti Patel— Indian.

Even The Times of Israel impliedly agrees!

and the Jewish Chronicle!

*and look at this:

Johnson’s maternal great-grandfather was a Russian Jewish immigrant named Elias Avery Lowe.” [Breaking Israel News]

““I feel Jewish when I feel the Jewish people are threatened or under attack, that’s when it sort of comes out. When I suddenly get a whiff of antisemitism, it’s then that you feel angry and protective.” [Boris Johnson]

In addition to his Jewish ancestry, Johnson has even stronger ties to Israel through his Jewish stepmother, Jennifer Kidd Johnson, who married his father Stanley in 1981.

In 1984, Johnson, age 20, and his sister Rachel spent six weeks in Israel, volunteering on Kibbutz Kfar Hanasi, approximately 22 miles north of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel.

The visit was coordinated by Michael Comay, a career Israeli diplomat and close family friend of Johnson’s stepmother. Comay and his wife Joan connected the Johnson siblings with the overseas volunteer program at Kibbutz Kfar Hanassi.” [Breaking Israel News]

https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/134041/new-uk-prime-minister-descended-from-rabbi-feels-jewish/

Several of those appointed to Cabinet, including Raab, Priti Patel and Liz Truss, were co-authors of the notorious booklet Britannia Unchained, their credo being unrestrained finance capitalism and the British people as slaves to usurers and employers:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britannia_Unchained

Highlights?

  • “Britain needs to adopt a far-reaching form of free market economics, with fewer employment laws”;
  • “The British are among the worst idlers in the world. We work among the lowest hours, we retire early and our productivity is poor. Whereas Indian children aspire to be doctors or businessmen, the British are more interested in football and pop music.” [Wikipedia]

Well, I agree about the football and pop music etc, but the rest postulates as an ideal a dystopian economic slave-society (is that surprising, when you see that the booklet was written mostly by those from non-British, non-European backgrounds, societies where slavery and serfdom are still ubiquitous: India, Pakistan etc?)

What now?

So unfree is the UK already, that if I were to print what I really believe should be done to remove this government of evil, I should probably have the police at my door.

In terms of what might happen politically or electorally to remove this unelected System dictatorship led by Boris-idiot, it is a grace from God that its Commons majority is almost non-existent even with its bought (by Theresa May) DUP support. Soon it will have no majority in the Commons even with those bought DUP votes.

The Brexit dilemma is the first matter. It is suggested that Boris-idiot will try to leave the EU either without agreement with the EU, or with an agreement not much different than that Theresa May agreed, but which was rejected by the Commons. The probability must be that the same will happen again. If so, Johnson will before long face a no-confidence vote, which probably but not necessarily will lead to a general election. Johnson thinks that he can win such an election. Not if Brexit Party stands 650 candidates as promised. Brexit Party may sink the Conservative Party even if it itself fails to win a single seat.

On the other hand, if Boris Johnson makes an electoral pact with Nigel Farage, eg guaranteeing Brexit Party a free run in say 50 seats in return for the reverse in the remaining 600, that is a gamble which threatens to destroy the Conservative party as a main national party contesting all seats. It also risks creating a far more powerful because far more credible Brexit Party.

What if Johnson in effect caves in, accepting a poor “deal” with the EU (assuming that the Commons approve it)? That would be the end of Johnson as Prime Minister even if he were able to cling on for a while. At the next general election, he would probably lose his own seat, as would 100 or even 200 of his MPs.

What about other matters unconnected directly with Brexit? The Conservative majority is now effectively gone already, with quite a few anti-Boris MPs likely to abstain on critical votes. This “government” scarcely has the strength to be called “lame duck”.

It is worth noting that the Conservative Party has not managed to win a really substantial majority at a general election since the 1980s, though in 1992 and 2015 it had enough MPs to rule (leaving aside Brexit) without serious interruption (which is why Mrs May’s decision to hold a snap election in 2017 was such a great error).

In the end, Britain needs social nationalism. This weak and stupid government of aliens is the opposite, a would-be tyranny of non-Brits, non-Europeans, and pro-Israel dystopians. It is evil and must go.

and still the show goes on

Notes and updates

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7287171/The-gilded-life-Boris-Johnsons-new-team.html

Update, 27 July 2019

I was musing on exactly why Boris-idiot has appointed so many of what Ronnie Reagan might have described as “misfits, looney tunes and squalid criminals” to his Cabinet. Yes, they are mostly Leave supporters; yes, they are mostly those who supported Johnson in the Conservative Party leadership contest; but I think that there is another reason.

In my view, Boris-idiot was limited in his choice because so many potential ministers and Cabinet ministers simply would not and will not serve under Johnson. In fact many who served under Theresa May did not wait to see whether they might be reappointed or given other jobs. They ruled themselves out.

There are two or three aspects to this:

  • Many MPs and most former ministers despise Boris-idiot and simply cannot see him as a real Prime Minister of this country. They know that he was out of his depth as Foreign Secretary and that he is even more out of his depth as Prime Minister;
  • MPs mostly know very well that this government of crazies cannot last long, firstly because of its crazy and/or plain thick Cabinet ministers. When it falls, they do not want to be contaminated by association with it;
  • also, this government cannot last long because the Parliamentary arithmetic scarcely adds up even now. Once the Brecon and Radnorshire seat is lost (1 August 2019, this coming Thursday) and if Charlie Elphicke is convicted, later this year or early next year, of the sexual assault of two different women, the Government will have no majority at all, even with the DUP support bought by Theresa May. There is every chance that this government will be gone by Christmas. When that happens, the Conservative Party will probably either lose to Labour (i.e. get fewer seats), or at any rate get fewer seats than it now has. Either way, Boris will be gone as Prime Minister, his ignominious parody PM act having lasted only a few months.

Look at those who are now in Cabinet and in other ministerial posts! I have blogged already about some: Priti Patel as Home Secretary! This is a bad dream! Sajid Javid; Esther McVey!…; Grant Shapps…; Dominic Raab; Liz Truss (!); GAVIN WILLIAMSON…WHAT?!…the idiot who plays with his pet spider and wanted our troops to face the Russian Armed Forces with guns mounted on tractors or in the back of furniture lorries!…; even bloody Nadine Dorries is a minister of state now! Nadine Dorries, who was one of the biggest expenses freeloaders in the Commons, “employing” her recently-graduated daughters at the highest pay level permitted [in 2019, that level is £50,000 p.a.], and allowing one of them at least to occupy the taxpayer-funded flat in Central London meant to be for the MP’s own use, whereas Nadine Dorries actually commuted back daily to Bedfordshire (by rail, First Class, and of course again on expenses)! She also got all three (herself + 2 daughters) expensive new laptops and telephones etc on expenses! This is like a TV sketch writer’s joke!

I have little doubt that, just as his shambolic term as Mayor of London spawned the political comedy show The Thick of It, Boris Johnson’s term as Prime Minister will generate another political sit-com. The British people may not see the joke.

Well, enough for today, but anyone who saw Boris-idiot making promises of rail lines in Northern England when he was speaking in Manchester today saw a person well out of his depth, putting on a “prime ministerial” act and failing to raise to even a decent am-dram level. As a speaker, Johnson is poor (though his ad-lib humorous style might be OK for after-dinner speechifying). Content? Very poor. Delivery? Amateur and unconvincing.

Finally, one must ask why so many Conservative MPs voted for this clown to be their leader. I think that the answer is that most of the other candidates were also very poor, and even the few with potential to do the job of PM (leaving aside my firm ideological opposition to them) had impediments, such as that they were Remain supporters (eg Rory Stewart) or unconvincing recent Leave convertees (Jeremy Hunt and maybe Stewart), or with a negative public image (Michael Gove, a one-time cocaine abuser, as well as a flagrant expenses cheat in the 2005-2010 Parliament and possibly later).

The vote for Johnson, by most Conservative MPs, was a gamble, the gamble that the public entertainer and bullshitter can “reach the voters other MPs cannot reach”. I think that the Conservative Party is about to lose its shirt.

Update, 28 September 2019

Michael Gove, seen intoxicated through drink or drugs in the Chamber of the House of Commons recently! This is becoming just bizarre! (ignore the silly “Nazi newspapers” comment by the tweeter. “Nazi newspapers”? If only…!)

Update, 6 June 2021

Noticing that very many people from across the world have recently been hitting this mid-2019 blog post, I have decided that I should update it.

Well, since my article was posted, much water under bridge. My analysis, though correct in itself, was blown out of the water when political snake-oil salesman Nigel Farage stabbed his own party in the back during the 2019 General Election campaign by standing down most Brexit Party candidates, and thus gifting to “Boris” an apparent “landslide” victory and, as a consequence, an 80-seat House of Commons. Farage’s action has, as an extra consequence, probably finished off the Labour Party.

As to Brexit Party itself, Farage closed it down, having effectively killed it. He then started another party, “Reform Party”, which he then abandoned to its miserable fate. Farage is now to be seen promoting investment ideas online. Politically washed up (but wealthy…).

Some other matters have changed since I wrote the main post.

Charlie Elphicke [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Elphicke#Sexual_assault_charges_and_conviction] tood down as MP, was convicted and (in September 2020) imprisoned for 2 years. Arguably harsh for his very inept and minor sexual assaults. He will be released soon, after he has served 1 year. His now ex-wife was selected as candidate to replace him in 2019, and is now the MP in his place.

Both Sajid Javid and Esther McVey have left government but remain as MPs.

After a 2019 General Election, What?

I just read a typically unsatisfying yet not completely uninteresting article in the New Statesman [below].

https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2019/07/boris-johnson-all-roads-likely-lead-general-election

The conclusion of that article is that Boris Johnson will be forced to a general election before very long. Unlike msm talking heads, we have no need to say “whoever is the next Prime Minister”: the system is broken, the 100,000 elderly people actually given a vote love “Boris”, and so we, the other 65 million, are having imposed upon us the least honest, least competent, least loyal, least decent, least worthy, least genuinely British Prime Minister in living memory, perhaps ever.

The crunch is coming, but Boris Johnson has never kept to any “pledge” or promise, whether political or personal, so will not be bound by his “Leave EU by 31 October 2019” one either, in my view.

As I have blogged previously, Boris Johnson likes to be presented as a strong maverick character, whereas in fact he is actually rather weak: weak in logic, weak in general knowledge, weak in resolve, weak in ethical standards, weak politically.

Philip Hammond puts it more diplomatically: ” “He is actually a more complex personality than it sometimes seems,” Hammond said of Johnson in his interview. “He is a mainstream conservative on all topics except Brexit. I very much regret his attitude to Brexit. His own story, which is multicultural, multinational and liberal, speaks for itself.” [The Guardian].

Hammond’s words of course are two-edged and allude to Johnson’s part-Jew, part-Muslim, born-in-USA (and brought up largely in USA and Belgium) background, as well as his loose and indeed louche morality.

I may be overthinking this, because I do not see Boris Johnson as a determined —or indeed any sort of— planner (except in terms of trying to become Prime Minister for the past 20+ years), but I wonder whether Johnson foresaw that the Commons would block fulfilment of his “Brexit on WTO terms by 31 October” so-called “pledge”? After all, it would hardly require clairvoyance. The House of Commons has a large Remain majority.

If Boris Johnson “pledges” to leave on WTO terms on 31 October 2019 and if that is then blocked by the Remain majority in the Commons, Johnson can then sigh loudly in public and say “I did my best, but have been stabbed in the back by all those pro-EU MPs…”, thus absolving him from blame for not “delivering Brexit” (the EU will very likely grant further “extensons” etc…). Johnson can then present himself as the Tribune of the People, fighting the corrupt Remain MPs. A hero to fools…

From Johnson’s point of view, perfect. No need to actually negotiate with people who are more intelligent, more knowledgeable, better prepared than Johnson himself ever is, no need to put in much effort and, finally, also parking tanks on the lawn of Farage and Brexit Party (that less certain, though).

What if it goes wrong for Boris-Idiot and there is a no-confidence vote? I am wondering whether the prospect of this stupid clown as Prime Minister, even leaving aside Brexit, might not be enough to make some Conservative Party MPs abstain in a no-confidence vote. I would not bet against it.

If Labour put forward a no-confidence vote, and if that succeeds, it might not mean an immediate general election. The Conservatives can put forward another, less obviously clownish MP as their prime ministerial choice. If all the Conservatives and all the DUP support that person, then that freezes out Corbyn and Labour for a while.

What if there is a general election? If Brexit Party put up a fairly full slate of candidates in England, and if at least some form of Brexit has not happened by then, there might well be an explosion of rage from the half of the country (more than half) that voted Leave in 2016. That explosion might well not spare the Conservatives who have so badly handled the Brexit negotiations for the past 3 years. After all, that inept performance calls to mind the other stupidities of the past decade.

Scotland seems likely to vote at least 40% SNP in a general election, creating (maintaining) a bloc of about 40-50 Westminster MPs. As for England and Wales, if you take out the blacks and browns (etc), and you take out London (and Gibraltar, which has no votes in Westminster elections), the Leave vote was around 70%. What does this mean?

First of all, Brexit is not the only issue. The socio-economic problems of the country play more to Labour’s advantage. What is letting down Labour electorally now is that it is seen to be largely the party of the blacks and browns, the immigrants and their offspring, as well as public service workers, and those reliant on State benefits. I speak in broad-brush terms of course.

The people who are voting Labour now and might vote Labour in any 2019 general election are concentrated in quite few seats, about 200-250, but some polls are saying that only 40% of 2017 Labour voters will vote Labour if there is a general election this year. Translating that into seats is not easy, but it could mean a substantial reduction from the position now.

The above is however affected by the effect Brexit Party might have on the Conservative vote, bearing in mind that, as with Labour, as high as 60% of 2017 Conservative voters say that they will not be voting Con next time.

If Brexit Party puts up candidates all over England and Wales, and scores at least 15% nationwide, the present 312 Conservative seats will reduce to about 250 and possibly fewer. Most will fall to the LibDems or Labour, but no doubt Brexit Party could win a few too. If Brexit Party can score 20%+ nationwide, then there might be only 150 Conservative MPs left.

We are in minority, possibly coalition, territory. Either

  • Labour + SNP or
  • Labour + LibDems; or
  • Conservative + Brexit Party or
  • Conservative + LibDems

One intriguing fact is that Boris Johnson is apparently marginally more popular with Brexit Party members than he is with Conservative Party members.

My guess today (in this volatile climate, one alters perceptions almost daily) is that it is a race between Labour’s vote (especially in the North) collapsing and the Conservative vote collapsing in much of the country, and weakened further by the existence of Brexit Party (even if Brexit Party itself scarcely wins a seat).

I cannot see Boris-Idiot lasting for long as Prime Minister— he is completely unsuited for such a position; but having said that, the country has already gone half-mad…

Postscript

I had scarcely published the above when, about an hour after that, the Guardian published the report below:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jul/19/brussels-to-offer-boris-johnson-extension-on-no-deal-brexit

“Brussels to offer Boris Johnson extension”… Quelle surprise…

There is also this now:

Update, 10 April 2021

Nearly two years later from when I wrote the above blog post, we look back at the December 2019 General Election and see that most of the analysis was correct. What made the prediction of Conservative Party electoral collapse misfire was the event few —if any— predicted, meaning that Nigel Farage, snake oil salesman, stabbed his own party in the back, and withdrawing from active participation the majority of Brexit Party candidates, all of whom had actually paid for their own deposits (and more)!

All or almost all Conservative Party candidates were given a clear run by Brexit Party. Brexit Party candidates in some formerly Labour seats where the Conservative Party was always unlikely to win, were allowed to stand, as in Hartlepool, where the Brexit Party 2-i-c, Richard Tice, came a very close third and, had the party not been killed by its own leader, might have pulled off an historic coup in a seat Labour-held since it was created. Farage’s actions destroyed Brexit Party credibility during the campaign.

The net result was that, with most intended Brexit Party votes going to Conservative candidates, the Con Party achieved a huge 80-seat overall majority. Many Conservative candidates, especially in the North, won by fewer than 2,000 votes. Had Brexit Party put up more than a token fight, the Conservative Party might well not have achieved a majority at all.

As for Nigel Farage, after his treachery in 2019, he had the gall to wind up Brexit Party (literally, since it was set up as a private company) and start yet another party, Reform Party or Reform UK, which he then abandoned when offered a great deal of money in business. An out and out, controlled-opposition, con-man.
