“Stay behind” units in 1940: an historical note

The Second World War, with its complexities, nuances, twists and turns, and ideological subtleties, is endlessly fascinating. I happened to see a local newspaper story about part of Churchill’s idea of how to “fight on the beaches, fight on the landing-grounds” etc.

Churchill, though a genuinely world-historical figure, unlike Boris Johnson (who tries to ape his style and manner), does have a few characteristics in common with his latter-day copier. One is that he was largely ineffective as head of government when given his head; also, he was a person with, often, very silly ideas. Churchill was no good as a strategist; as for tactics, his ideas were really straight out of boys’ comic books.

The Norway operation in 1940; the British Expeditionary Force in France, also in 1940 (my own grandfather was on the Dunkirk beaches), the idea of invading France via the Cote-d’Azur in 1944, the Fall of France, the Fall of Greece (including Crete), and so on, give some idea of Churchill’s lack of strategic nous.

Stay-behind units were organized, with the idea that they might not last more than 12 days after any German “reverse D-Day”.

It was presumed that German invasion forces would strike initially at the London area:

“Operation Sealion, Hitler’s plan to invade across the Channel, almost saw the German 6th Army land at Lyme Regis in 1940 and push inland to Bristol and Gloucester.

Meanwhile the 9th and 16th Armies were to attack from Portsmouth to Dover, sweeping northwards to capture London and East Anglia, Britain’s breadbasket.” [DorsetLive].

Despite the chilling ruthlessness of their remit, the “Auxiliary Units” had a delightfully Wodehousian aspect:

“Grouped into “operational patrols” of four to eight men, AU members needed excellent local knowledge – making gamekeepers and poachers ideal candidates.

But known members of local patrols include bakers, carpenters, car salesmen, dairy farmers, electricians, fishmongers, miners and train drivers.

“The staff of Charborough Park – a country house estate now belonging to South Dorset MP Richard Drax – were also formed into an AU patrol.

The chauffeurs, foresters, gamekeeper and gardener of Sir Reginald Aylmer Ranfurly Plunkett-Ernle-Erle-Drax, Mr Drax’s grandfather, moonlighted as would-be saboteurs and assassins.” [DorsetLive].

There were, it seems, about 6,500 volunteers in such “stay behind” units, most of whom were organized around the southern and eastern coasts of England.

Had “Operation Sealion” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Sea_Lion] ever been launched into action, the defending forces, including the 6,500 Auxiliary Unit fighters, would have faced an onslaught by 600,000 German troops (100,000 on the first day), backed by 650 tanks and 4,500 horses: https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/17353462.nazi-d-day-made-south-coast-target/. The Auxiliary Units would have been mosquitos biting elephants.

As for the conventional forces defending, “The Germans put the British defences at 320,000 men, with machine gun nests positioned 300 yards from the coastline, artillery guns 1,000 yards inland and another line of artillery and machine gun nests 3,000 yards back.

A line of more than 600 armoured cars and tanks were said to have been positioned two miles inland and a reserve of 50,000 men a further two miles back.” [The Argus].

In fact, Operation Sealion was not a ready to roll plan such as had been Fall Gelb, “Case Yellow” (or “Operation Yellow”), the plan for the invasion of France [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manstein_Plan]. Sealion was called Unternehmen Seelöwe, not “Fall Seelöwe“.

My German is poorer than it should be (bearing in mind that I did take German at school, and I did also have a couple of crash courses later, when I was in my twenties), but the difference in designation seems to be that one plan was ready-to-go, while the other was somewhere between that and a contingency plan.

It is known that Hitler wanted Britain, and the British Empire, as an ally against the expansionism of both the Soviet Union and the U.S.A. His preference in 1940 was for an armistice, not for conquest by invasion.

Apart from Hitler’s preference for alliance, there were operational reasons why Sealion never proceeded: lack of total air superiority was one, but another perhaps more important was the lack of carrying capacity by sea of the German navy. There were not enough barges to carry the armies required, and not enough defence for those barges.

If, however, the invasion had happened, “[the Auxiliary Units]…would disappear to their OB, wait for the Germans to go over the top of them and attack the rear...”

“Patrols would attack bridges, convoys, fuel dumps and so on, breaking the supply chain and holding up the advance of the blitzkrieg, giving the regular army time to regroup and counterattack.”

“Equipped with suppressed sniper’s rifles, the fighters would also be expected to assassinate anyone who might expose their underground operations.

“Patrols would take out collaborators as well as local policemen and intelligence officers – innocent men, killed just for knowing their identities…”

“Anyone who stumbled across their OB would also be killed. And if a patrol member was injured and couldn’t get back the OB, they were obligated to shoot him...”

There were, then, two underlying assumptions or, better said, hopes, on the part of the Auxiliary Units: the first was that the units would survive for 12-14 days; the second was that the main British forces would be able to mount a successful counterattack.

As to whether the stay-behind fighters could survive for 14 days, my assessment is that they could do so easily if they did nothing or very little; once they started to shoot people and blow things up, it would be a different story.

The Germans might not have been able to do much to repress any stay-behind activity in the first confused days following invasion, but once those early days had passed, the Feldgendarmerie and SS would rather rapidly have started to arrest or kill suspects.

It is remarkable that the British plans included the assassination, on a default basis, of British police and Army personnel, or local residents, who knew of their existence! That might soon have backfired, with other such people helping the Germans to eliminate such ruthless persons hiding in their neighbourhoods. We shall never know. What we can be fairly sure about is that the Auxiliary Units would have had little impact on the eventual result, in big-picture terms.

As for the Auxiliary Units as the basis for a possible “British Resistance”, impossible. Limited stocks of weaponry and ammunition, no help from external sources, and the German security grip tightening steadily.

Could British home forces have defeated a German invasion force, had it landed in the numbers suggested? Doubtful. For one thing, the projected German force was to have been 600,000 after a few days; the defending forces would have numbered under 400,000.

Secondly, the quality of German tanks, light weapons etc outmatched the British; the same was true of the fitness of German troops. Red Cross reports of the period (from France) noted that British soldiers captured were often undernourished, stunted, with poor teeth and poor fitness, a result of the social conditions prevalent in the UK in the 1920s and 1930s. The German prisoners taken by the British were found to be, almost universally, in a good state of health and fitness, the result of, mainly, 7 years of National Socialist government.

Another point is that the German forces will mostly have seen action in Poland or France, whereas the British home forces were mostly without recent battle experience.

It is true that large wargames (a major one took place at Sandhurst in 1974) have generally resulted in German defeat following a 1940 invasion of Britain, but those results were based on destruction of much of the invasion force at sea, and failure to execute the invasion plan with sufficient boldness. History is full of examples of invasions that should have failed, but did not. Alexander’s invasion of the Persian Empire, and William of Normandy’s 1066 invasion of England, are but two. Indeed, Hitler’s own experiences in 1939-41 (Norway, France, Poland, the Soviet Union, Greece, Yugoslavia etc show that boldness can bring victory even in unlikely circumstances. Rommel’s victories in North Africa were usually achieved against the odds.

It can certainly be argued that Hitler should have pressed on in 1940, even in circumstances of high risk. Britain would have quickly folded, and then, under new political leadership, found a new role, with the Empire, as a “dual-rulership” of much of the Earth, in collaboration with the German Reich.

On those premises, huge destruction and misery would have been avoided, both in the 1940s and thereafter. The world would have been a far better place now, had that happened.

As to the results further down the line, had a German invasion succeeded, one has to say that, in some ways, perhaps most ways, Britain itself might have been —80 years on— better for it. There would have been no migration-invasion by blacks and browns, and no Jewish-Zionist exploitation. Services such as the NHS would have been available earlier and better.

Incidentally, a German victory in 1940 would not have meant long-term German occupation, certainly not after a few years, and not necessarily a harsh one. The main aim, for Hitler, would have been disarmament or control of the British Army, navy and air force.

Hitler’s preferred ruler of Britain, we now know, was none other than Lloyd George! The Security Service, MI5, was well aware of this, and monitored him closely.

“Lloyd George was consistently pro-German after 1923,[169] in part due to his growing conviction that Germany had been treated unfairly at Versailles. He supported German demands for territorial concessions and recognition of its “great power” status; he paid much less attention to the security concerns of France, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Belgium.

[170] In a speech in 1933, he warned that if Adolf Hitler were overthrown Communism would replace him in Germany.[171] In August 1934, he insisted Germany could not wage war, and assured European nations that there would be no risk of war during the next ten years.[172] 

In September 1936, he visited Germany to talk with Hitler. Hitler said he was pleased to have met “the man who won the war”; Lloyd George was moved, and called Hitler “the greatest living German”.[166]: 247  Lloyd George also visited Germany’s public works programmes and was impressed. On his return to Britain, he wrote an article for the Daily Express praising Hitler and stating: “The Germans have definitely made up their minds never to quarrel with us again.“[166]: 248 

He believed Hitler was “the George Washington of Germany”; that he was rearming Germany for defence and not for offensive war; that a war between Germany and the Soviet Union would not happen for at least ten years; that Hitler admired the British and wanted their friendship but that there was no British leadership to exploit this.” [Wikipedia].

Strange. My memory tells me precisely the reverse, as far as the years up to 2010 are concerned. It is a complex picture, but I recall a country where things were OK (speaking very very generally) until 1997 (I was mostly out of the UK that exact year, though), one where a gradual “communitarian” police statism started to develop under Blair and Brown, and one in which (and here I do agree with the tweeter) there was a catastrophic decline in standards from…well, the tweeter says 2010 (i.e. when Cameron-Levita and his clique became the Government), but I think earlier, maybe from 2005 or so (under Gordon Brown).

I recall returning to the UK from France in 2009, having not been here for a year (I had been spending half my time in France since 2005, and was also in a number of other countries during 2005-2010), and noticing the social darkness that had already descended, a year before David Cameron-Levita became Prime Minister.

The (Pakistani?) tweeter is obviously a simplistic Labour Party partisan, who thinks in unsophisticated ways: Labour government 1997— good, Conservative government 2010— bad. If only life were that simple.

Britain may be short of housing, energy, water, good jobs, a decent and working society generally, and good government, but we shall never, it seems, run out of comedians. Sometimes there seem to be thousands of them, though few I have seen or heard (on TV or radio) are actually very comic.

Now I wonder whether there is a common theme about those cases when Toby Young and the “Free Speech Union” stayed guiltily silent?…

In 2004-2005, for nearly two years, I lived in a farmhouse in the constituency, near Milton Abbot (6 miles NW of Tavistock), having moved out of Polapit Tamar House, 8 miles away across the Tamar in Cornwall (a lovely place then, though since I lived there split up into numerous dwelling units, and currently on sale for £7M).

Geoffrey Cox became MP for Torridge and West Devon in 2005, but at that time I was too busy trying to make a living at the Bar to take any notice of System politics, certainly did not vote, and was unaware, I think, even of the bastard’s name.

The constituency is hard-core Conservative Party territory, though. All the farmers and landowners vote Conservative (despite being a “subsidized industry” by any other name). The fallibility of human memory

We do not have to consider the almost-ubiquitous “holocaust” fakery, hoaxes, or “memories” which simply could not have happened, to understand that human memory often cannot be relied upon. Ignorance of fact can also play a role.

I have just seen a tweet in which the tweeter reminisces about his school trip to the Soviet Union in 1984 or 1985. The trip apparently consisted of a week in Leningrad and a week in Moscow.

Inter alia, the tweeter concerned tweets that he visited the Hermitage (in Leningrad), and walked on the surface of the frozen Volga…

Well, I suppose that the above memory could be accurate, but probably is not. Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) is on the river Neva; Moscow is on the Moscow river or Moskva.

The Volga has a quite convoluted course, and at its nearest to Moscow is only about 85 miles away, at the meeting-place of the Volga with the Moskva-Volga Canal (aka Moscow Canal): https://factsanddetails.com/russia/Places/sub9_9a/entry-7029.html. It goes nowhere very near St. Petersburg.

The Moscow river is a tributary of the river Oka, which is in turn a tributary of the river Volga.

The upshot of the above is that the tweet I saw could be accurate but quite likely is not. The tweeter probably walked on the frozen Neva, or perhaps the Moskva, or the Moskva-Volga Canal.

Memory cannot always be relied upon. My own memory is (I have found) better than that of almost anyone else I have ever met, but is still occasionally inaccurate.

Talking of memories of Russia, I saw another tweet today, which contained a picture of the interior of the GUM complex near Red Square. Marble floors, clean, redolent of luxury.

I first saw GUM in 1993, when most of the shop units were empty, the (then white) marble floors containing wide cracks in places, and a snack bar in the area on the ground floor was doing a good trade in open sandwiches (red caviar on buttered white bread); I had one myself, I think.

When I returned to Moscow in 2007, all changed. Tan marble, everything clean and tidy, and the shops were all occupied; they included Thomas Pink, Armani etc. Not very busy, perhaps because it was a weekday and early evening, or perhaps because of the high prices. In 1993, it was also not busy, though then because there was rather little to buy. I believe that, in Soviet days, GUM was always packed, as was the toy shop Detsky Mir (“Children’s World”) next door (with access then from GUM as well as from the street). In 1993, I wandered in from GUM, out of curiosity. The few outsized soft toys were charged at extortionate prices. Oddly, or perhaps not, no children and few adults there.

“Dirty democratic politicians” [Hitler]

The underlying problem here is that, in the early 1940s, Winston Churchill’s misguided government basically threw away the Empire as it existed in the Caribbean. The Americans took over, strategically, while the various islands stayed nominally under British rule (some are now independent, some are “British Overseas Territories” and still get a considerable financial subsidy from the UK).

Another good reason not to vote for Ed Davey and the pathetic rump of the LibDems. Davey may be slightly more intelligent than the LibDems’ previous leader, Jo Swinson (a total Jewish-lobby puppet) but that, after all, would scarcely be difficult. Davey is another Orange Book Lib Dem Con-lite MP, and not all that “lite”, really.

The fact is that large numbers were infected by “the virus” in hospital. Instead of encouraging North Korea-lite “clapathons”, the Government, Opposition (such as it is) and msm should have been looking at why many UK hospitals are basically filthy.

The main problem with the hospital side of the NHS is that the administration is terrible. No proper leadership, no efficient administration, no accountability. That leads to general sloppiness. The old “Matron” is long gone, and should probably be reinstated, as should proper cleaning regimes (i.e. not some poorly-paid and probably useless immigrant broom-pusher from an outsourcing company).

It is always dangerous to criticize a sentence handed down by a judge, when one has not heard the evidence given in court, has not noted the demeanour of the defendant, and when a newspaper report is, as most are, incomplete (and in some cases, not entirely accurate in what is reported).

Having said that, I find the above case troubling for reasons that go beyond the facts of the case itself.

The defendant had, years before, been convicted of possession of a knife in public, as the newspaper notes, “…among his previous convictions“.

There is more here than meets the eye. Why did someone stab the defendant in the back earlier the same evening?

In some parts of the country, London in particular, such events are now far more frequent than they once were, a consequence in part of decades of black-brown mass immigration.

However, New Milton, a fairly quiet corner of Hampshire, is not accustomed to such activity. The age demographic is high, and that little town is really rather dead in the evening. I know it and, at one time, in years past, used the station quite often, not infrequently arriving late in the evening from London Waterloo.

The first stabbing was obviously not random. There are unexplained currents in the case. Also, one would expect a defendant in such a case to be rather young, perhaps a teenager, not 31. I am also puzzled at the apparent fact that the defendant himself had been stabbed, in the back, yet was (as far as can be gleaned) uninjured. Also, if a third party had been convicted re. that backstabbing or surrounding events, why only of possession and not, e.g., GBH with intent?

As to the instant case, I should say that the defendant was lucky in his judge, and it looks as though his defence Counsel did well. The sentence (even taking into account unpaid work, and a financial penalty etc) was surely merciful.

I am uneasy, however, that someone who, not in self-defence (the defendant having returned home and then slightly later revisited the railway station with a knife) stabbed the uninvolved victim (who merely looked like the earlier backstabber), that victim only avoiding serious injury and possible death by the lucky chance of wearing thick motorcycle clothing.

Another question: the defendant was stabbed in the back, yet chose not to alert the police. Why not? They would surely have attended quite swiftly in such a situation. As said, there seem to be hidden aspects here.

My overall question, though, is what on Earth is happening in the UK? Persons being stabbed in quiet parts of Southern England. Almost unheard of 50 or 60 years ago. One cannot even put it down, in this case, to the dreadful effects of non-white immigration. The part of England in the report is still largely English.

I would not want to be thought to be in any way in favour of ridiculous, ignorant aliens such as Zahra Sultana, but that second tweet is very true. Britain is completely contaminated and infested by “the Zionist element”.

Not that I am naive enough to think that white Northern European people can never be corrupt and greedy for money. It is a question of degree. In the UK, corruption of that sort has been generally, though certainly not entirely, absent. In places such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kurdistan etc, the corruption is ubiquitous.

Whatever happened to...Jon Holbrook?

I happened to be looking at some past blog posts, and saw the following one from January this year: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2021/01/31/diary-blog-31-january-2021-including-support-for-a-dissident-barrister/. It made me wonder what happened to the barrister mentioned.

The tweet stated: ‘Free speech is dying & Islamists & other Muslims are playing a central role. Who will lead the struggle to reinstate free speech as the foundation of all other freedoms?’

The panel said it took into account the context in which the tweet was made, which was in response to a tweet calling for the Charlie Hebdo magazine to be shut down following the beheading of Samuel Paty by an Islamist. ‘The panel considered that the ordinary reasonable reader would understand the tweet to mean that the Muslim community was to blame for curtailing free speech.’” [Bar Disciplinary Tribunal].

In essence, that Holbrook case echoed mine of October 2016, but in a more muted way. In Holbrook’s case, the msm (especially the Daily Mail) came out in his support, and there was no huge kefuffle about him or his supposed political defaults. The penalty visited upon Holbrook was trivial by comparison. The reason is clear to me.

Holbrook’s tweets mentioned Muslims but not Jews; thus the Jew lobby on Twitter and offline did not have a serious go at Holbrook, whereas I was “crucified” in the msm Press, on Sky TV, online on Twitter etc. Google “Ian Millard barrister” and you will see the difference.

Strange that Holbrook thinks that Muslims in the UK are destroying free speech, when their behaviour, in terms of repression of free speech, is as almost nothing compared to that of Jews.

Or maybe Holbrook is just afraid to see the truth about the Jew-Zionist lobby (and then feel compelled to say something about it…). Holbrook, unlike me, was supported by the usual (and pro-Israel) pseudo free speech crowd: the Spectator, Toby Young and his “Free Speech Union” (free speech unless you say anything about the Jewish lobby…) etc, all of that lot, even Melanie Phillips!

Holbrook may have survived, notionally, at the Bar (and is appealing the £500 fine and the connected determination), but has accepted that his 30-year Bar career is at an end, his chambers having “cancelled” him.

Holbrook is (I presume) too law-abiding and well-behaved to take direct action against those who “cancelled” and/.or insulted him, and is relying on the written word to put his case.

In the meantime, his backstabbing former colleagues, and those who kicked him when down, carry on earning, while he (I also presume) does not. That is his real punishment.

Heard the BBC Radio 4 News in the car. What led the news agenda? No, none of those, and neither was the news about the Ethiopian civil war, nor even about the huge numbers of migrant-invaders now crossing the Channel daily.

No, the main item on BBC News (radio and TV) today is that it is alleged that a cricketer in Yorkshire may have called a Pakistani…wait for it…a “Paki”!” Many years ago, at that. That is today’s big headline!

In fact, it seems that the socio-political operation was successful: the Chairman of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and others have resigned, and the club will now be headed by an Indian businessman called Patel.

That cricket club, until 1992, would not sign players born outside Yorkshire itself! Like bees, any others were considered “exotic”.

Tell me again how the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan is a “conspiracy theory”…

Glasgow has a population of 600,000 in the city itself, 900,000+ in the urban/suburban area, and about 1.9M in the region.

Even if all the ~10,000 people on Greta’s march came from Glasgow city (they did not), then that represents, at best, 1 out of 60 people of that city. Or about 1 out of 180 in the wider region.

The author of the cited piece says that many dissidents are forced to “keep quiet” in order to avoid being “cancelled”. He does not explore the possibility that some dissidents, “cancelled”, censored, unable to express views, or put forward ideas, might decide to strike back at their imprisoners, or tormentors, or at the self-appointed “leaders” and “influencers” of the very sick society that is developing fast in the UK, USA etc. Action directe?

On the wider point, the people generally, “the plebs” if you like, do not want “authoritarianism” as such; they want “authority”, in the sense of statesmen in charge of government, rather than clowns like “Boris” and his cronies. People who know what they want for the country, and know how to get things done. Look at the part-Jew/Levantine chancer! A salutary warning (in general)

Iran

Since 1989 (the first year of the present 33-year cycle), the transnational conspiracy often called the New World Order or “NWO” (internationally), and Zionist Occupation Government or “ZOG” in terms of the domestic politics of various countries, has gradually disempowered the Arabs and other Muslims, while strengthening the hand of the Israeli state and (to use an old term) “World Jewry”.

Indeed, the very public proclamation of the New World Order, in early 1990, in a speech by President Bush (senior), was the prelude to the first war against Iraq, more than a decade before his son, George W. Bush, continued the assault by invading Iraq itself. The 2001 attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan was the casus belli for war with Iraq, despite Iraq (and Iran) having apparently known nothing of it.

Israel’s main enemies in geopolitical terms, meaning Iraq, Syria, Egypt, were gradually destabilized and removed from the board, from 1989 to 2021, thus leaving Israel pre-eminent in the region.

Smaller and generally anti-Israel states were dealt with in more or less the same way: Libya, Tunisia, Yemen.

That leaves Iran as the only obstacle to Israel’s regional supremacy. Iran’s ancient history and large (and —overall— not-badly-educated) population, its oil, its industrial capacity, all make Iran a target for Israel and “World Jewry”.

It cannot be long before Israel attacks Iran with tacit or overt US support. Suitable excuses will no doubt be produced, anything from Iran’s nuclear programme to cartoons mocking the so-called “holocaust” farrago.

Once Iran is attacked and reduced (in strategic areas) to rubble, there will be a campaign to “overthrow the regime” (as in Iraq, Syria, Ukraine etc), and maybe foment a civil war.

The result, if the Israeli, American, and other Jews are successful, will be (in effect) a Greater Israel. The venal Gulf Arabs have already surrendered to Israel and its wider Jewish diaspora. Diplomatic relations, and airline flights, between Dubai and Israel, Bahrain and Israel.

No surprise to me. The Gulf Arabs worship the “Money Power”, and have little other (culture, identity, even religion) to oppose such worship. Saudi Arabia has made no public statement, but is on the same page.

Israel does not have to immediately plant its flag of conquest over the capitals of the region. Slow, gradual annexation by commerce and the Jewish-American cultural influence will do the job.

Can Iran do anything to stop the above-delineated process? I wonder.

Sabrina Miller is the Jewish Zionist girl student who was at least the figurehead behind the Israel-lobby campaign to have anti-Israel academic, Professor David Miller, sacked from Bristol University, a campaign which was successful (though the Professor is now taking legal action).

Sabrina Miller’s piece about bestiality betrays no understanding about the decent treatment of animals. As a Jewish individual, she quite likely supports (though I have no direct information that she does) the cruel Jewish practice of kosher (kashrut) slaughter of animals. If so, that is, again, hardly surprising.

I should add that she seems to imply, in that piece, that she herself might favour vegetarianism. If so, a positive tick as far as that goes.

There is an intensifying repression of free speech in the UK, particularly when it comes to any mention of Jews that is not laudatory, so I suppose that I must not draw too wide a set of conclusions from the above…

[Update, 15 September 2025: in the 4 years since the blog post was published, much water under the bridge. Dr. David Miller won his employment case against Bristol University, but was not reinstated. He has since become a regular presenter on Press TV (an Iranian channel broadcasting in English), and is currently being privately prosecuted (under the notorious Communications Act 2003, s.127) by the pack of malicious Jews known as “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”. Poppy Day

It is not November yet. It is true, though, that poppy-wearing is dying out.

Remembrance Day, or as my maternal grandmother [1900-1988] always called it, in the old way, Armistice Day, was a creation of the First World War and its aftermath, kept going after 1945.

There are now no British people alive who were alive during that first terrible conflict, and none who were much more than children during the second.

There is, of course, another aspect, in that the burgeoning population of blacks, browns, and those of mixed race etc have no real organic connection to England or Britain, so naturally feel no nostalgic emotional need to wear a poppy.

Ridley Road TV series

I mentioned, in a recent blog post, the BBC drama series Ridley Road [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridley_Road_(TV_series)], pointing out that (as noted by the Jewish Chronicle), it is, in conception, entirely a Jewish production, and obviously meant as — in fact, ahistorical and inaccurate— propaganda lauding some Jewish spies, thugs, and gangsters in the London of the early 1960s: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2021/10/18/diary-blog-18-october-2021/.

I have now seen part of the first episode, about 20 minutes. I do not usually have the patience to keep watching after a poor start.

Pretty poor; in fact worse (as entertainment) than I had expected. I may see some more at some future time, but I doubt it.

Various critics, including some Jews, have apparently not been hugely impressed by the plot, let alone the details.

I should imagine that the series will sink without trace.

I made the mistake of switching on the car radio this afternoon. The once-interesting (long ago) PM show. 10 minutes was enough. “Covid” nonsense, “COP26” nonsense, and little else. Turns out that Greta Nut has been interviewed (again?) by Andrew Marr.

Incredible. What other poorly-educated, mentally-afflicted teenager (who has actually done nothing anyway) gets respectfully interviewed by someone who is (rightly or wrongly) a major msm current affairs bod? Why should anyone be interested in what Greta Nut thinks about US Government policy? PM presenter Evan Davis then referred to her as “Greta”. She thus joins the select few known universally by first name, such as “Boris”, “Fidel”, “Jesus” etc.

This is a farce, but of course is just part of the propaganda campaign internationally. “Greta” has no more part to play, of her own, than does a ventriloquist’s dummy.

Interesting film

The above film (in German, but with English subtitles) came to my attention thanks to a reader of this blog. There have been other films about Ludwig II of Bavaria, notably that of the director, Visconti: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_(film). I saw that film in the mid-1980s, but the original English-language version has been lost. The surviving dubbed versions (in Italian and German) are still available.

Ludwig II: a complex and disturbed person, but who left, famously, two great legacies— his castles, and the works of Wagner, who was supported financially by Ludwig.

What is less well-known (see the YouTube video below) is that Ludwig also did a huge amount to improve Bavaria in other ways, including the fields of education, transport and public sanitation.

Ludwig was one of two people considered as candidates suitable to be anointed as Kaiser of the united Germany. The other candidate was successful, and became Wilhelm II of Germany. The history of Germany and Europe might have been happier had Ludwig been chosen.

Wagner later went on to establish the Bayreuth Festspiel, which still exists (I myself have been to Bayreuth, though not to the Festspiel).

As for the fanatics who oppose me, they all seem to be dying…; in fact, a number have already died, I believe. “Instant karma”, or just unconnected karma?

There is a huge attack on freedom of expression across the Western world (in much of the rest of the world, such freedom rarely existed anyway). Most of the attack is by the Jewish-Zionist element.

Contrast that with my own treatment— disbarred, wrongfully, for having tweeted general comments about society and politics (in the end, just 5 tweets!). In fact, all of those tweets have stood the test of time, such as the one about the corrupt little Jew, Sarkozy, and that about Jewish-lobby puppet and expenses cheat, Michael Gove (at the time, I did not know that the little bastard was (or is still?) also both a drunk and a cocaine abuser).

Note: I should add that I was actually quite wrongfully disbarred in 2016. Not my assertion alone, incidentally.

In fact, the Bar Standards Board wrote to me a couple of years after my “trial” in 2016 to offer me a “retrial” (new hearing), because I should have been “tried” before a 3-person Tribunal panel (which has no power to disbar) instead of a 5-person panel (which does have the power to disbar).

I decided not to bother with a new hearing, partly because I thought that, had it gone back to Tribunal, and had I then been found “guilty” (such terminology is not in fact used), I might have been fined, and had no money with which to pay any likely fine. Maybe I was wrong. Still, I may change my mind, just to spite (((them)))!

Further, since the notorious Henry Hendron cases, it has been accepted that a barrister not holding a Practice Certificate both at time of “offence” and time of Tribunal, cannot be “tried” at all by the Bar regulation system, let alone disbarred. I myself last held a Practice Certificate in 2008, six years before the Jews (“UKLFI”) made their complaint against me, and two years before I joined Twitter.

As said above, I may decide to have the notional disbarment deleted, just to make the point, though obviously (?), at age 65, I have no wish to return to the practising Bar (which is now a dustbin full of trash anyway).

Readers might like to note also, that (contrary to what they may now read about me, as tweeted by a few crazed and fanatical Jews on Twitter) when I was at the practising Bar, I was mentioned favourably in the main legal directories, and was commended for my legal expositions, on several occasions, by judges in the High Court and County Court. As people say today, “just saying…”.

Apart from which, I have seen many tweets making the very good point that the recent assassination of an MP has made not only headlines but almost all the UK news for days, and the police and MI5 have been running round in circles every bit as much as the msm.

Jewish terrorism in the UK of the 1960s

I see that a Jewish scribbler who writes for, inter alia, the Daily Mail, seems to be enthusiastic about the Jewish thugs and other criminals who were part of the “62 Group”, formed in 1962 to attack the meetings of, but not exclusively, Colin Jordan. They also attacked social-national people caught alone in the streets etc.

The “62 Group” was modelled on the equally-thuggish “43 Group” of the mid-1940s.

It is, as bank managers say, “disappointing” to see the BBC make a drama series, Ridley Road, glorifying such criminals; disappointing but not surprising, as infested as the BBC now is.

I have not yet seen the TV drama in question, but I imagine that it is very cardboard cut-out, with the Jews all wonderful, brave, daring etc, and the social-national people largely unpleasant (and, of course, “wrong”) etc…

The reply is from one Stephen Applebaum (who also sometimes trolls on Twitter under the name “@rattus2384”, and who is a fervent supporter/activist for the tiny but well-funded “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”). His reply seems to imply, at least, an attitude impressed by the (alleged) fact (I did not know it) that the once-famous hairdresser Vidal Sassoon used knives as part of his “activity” with the “43 Group”. Very topical, with criminals stabbing people ranging from MPs to “ordinary citizens” in 2021 Britain. Not everyone, though, supports vigilantes, as at least one further reply to those tweets indicates.

The “62 Group” also included such as Gerry Gable, a half-Jew who, with others, burgled the home of historian David Irving [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Irving] in 1963, and who eventually (in the late 1970s or 1980s) married (small world) a much younger half-Jewish woman, Sonia [nee Hochfelder], whom I actually met a few times in 1976, when she attended a few meetings of the League of St. George. She even had a drink with me once.

A couple of cautionary points: firstly, the Wikipedia piece about David Irving is plainly very (((biased))). Sadly, Wikipedia is rather “infested” in some parts of its output.

Secondly, re. Gerry Gable, Sonia Gable/Hochfelder and their Jewish “antifascist” Searchlight magazine (which featured me a couple of times in the 1970s, and again in 1993, I seem to recall), a Google search turns up all sorts of allegations about them which may or may not be accurate.

The 1993 mention of me in Searchlight came after I wrote a short letter to the Independent newspaper, criticizing the then-quite-new “globalism” as it affected the post-Soviet European space from the Atlantic to the Urals. I was looking for it recently via Google, now that it is clear that I have been proven right.

Those mentioned above are now either dead or aged. Sassoon died in 2012, Gable is 84, and David Irving is 83. I think that Sonia Hochfelder was about a year or two older than me, which would make her 66-68 now.

As for Colin Jordan [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Jordan], I occasionally corresponded with him in, I think, 1975 or 1976 (I think the former). He (unsurprisingly!) thought little of my proposal that he subordinate his people and resources to me (aged 18/19 at the time)… His letters came from some farmstead in Yorkshire.

Looking now at Jordan’s Wikipedia entry, I see that he only died in 2009, a fact hitherto unknown to me. I had assumed that he had died many years before, maybe in the 1980s. Still, the ripples of those 1960s and 1970s days are still with us today. More about the Jewish-Zionist recapture of the Labour Party

I never thought much of Jeremy Corbyn, that unoriginal, poorly-educated, not particularly intelligent survival of 1970s London “socialist” meets “identity” politics. Corbyn, with his ludicrous “Cable Street”, “!Non Pasaran”, 1930s Popular Front-ism, his adulation of Fidel and Che (and, latterly, Chavez/Maduro).

Having said that, Corbyn, whose actual election as Labour leader was nothing short of miraculous, was recognizably British and, as I said in my blog, a type reminiscent of Labour people one met from time to time in the 1970s: the “Lenin” cap, the folded copy of, as it might be, Morning Star, Tribune, or Militant. The sort of fellow likely to be encountered at Collet’s London Bookshop in Charing Cross Road (a haunt of 1970s politicos of various sorts, and run by a little Jew).

Such people as Corbyn might also, I think, be encountered (though not by me) at local Labour or trade union meetings, steam fairs, heritage railways, the Durham Miners’ Gala, or the Tolpuddle Martyrs weekend.

I disagreed with much of Corbyn’s ideology, and with most of his (outdated and sometimes anti-British) policies. Having said that, he was decently anti-Zionist, though sadly gave lip-service to Zionist underpinnings such as the “holocaust” farrago and “anti-racism”, thus playing into the hands of the Jewish Zionist lobby, which itself is as “racist” as it gets, at root.

Zionism after all is basically a Jewish version of the Germanic “Blut und Boden” plus settler-colonialism (not that I oppose that…if done by real Europeans, though).

From the moment the Corbyn became Labour leader, there was a conspiracy launched against him. This was basically a Jewish/Zionist conspiracy, though making use of non-Jews (Chuka Umunna, Joan Ryan, Mary Creagh etc) and even the odd apostate Jew MP.

That conspiracy was funded by extremely wealthy Jew businessmen, and was able to rent quietly-situated houses in the country where secret meetings took place, and to utilize slush funds sourced directly from Israel.

Many will recall a (very) few TV programmes (very rarely seen in the msm) about the sheer scope of the Israeli/Jewish/Zionist lobby in the UK:

Sometimes that “lobby”, acting partly via Labour Friends of Israel and Conservative Friends of Israel, directs its attention to UK Middle East policy; sometimes, however, the interference is even more blatant, and extends to getting rid of MPs not willing to toe the Israel/Jewish lobby line.

Of course, the msm stories never mentioned “Jews” or “Jewish” or “Israel”…it was all about how “moderates” wanted to oust “extremist” Corbyn, though the idea that Corbyn was “anti-Semitic” became a drumming tom-tom over time.

The first ploy was to hold a leadership election to remove Corbyn. That misfired when most ordinary Labour members voted Corbyn rather than for the little Welsh windbag who opposed him.

The 2017 General Election, though superficially poor for Labour, was no worse, in percentage terms, than had occurred under Miliband and Brown.

The (((lobby))) then increased pressure on Corbyn himself, trying to pressure him to resign. That too failed, because Corbyn’s strong suit is that he has the hide of a rhinoceros.

Then came the 2019 General Election, at which Labour crashed, and the msm crowed about how “Boris” had won by a “landslide“. In seats, true, an 80-seat majority. FPTP voting did its work.

In terms of percentages, though, the Conservative Party garnered 43.6% of the popular vote, only 1.2 points higher than the 42.4% of 2017.

What made the difference? Several factors. One was the perception that Labour MPs were often dim black women. Other factors existed, but one stands out— the daily drip-drip of msm and (less important) social media poison about “Corbyn the anti-Semite”, “Corbyn the friend of terrorists”, “Corbyn the extremist” etc. BBC, Sky, the newspapers….and guess “what sort of people” are often the political editors and scribblers? That’s right… Zionist Jews.

Just off the top of my head, I can think of several organizations of mainstream media where the political editor(s) are Jewish: Sky News, LBC, various newspapers. No doubt other TV stations, radio stations and social media platforms are the same.

Now? Corbyn has been replaced by Keir Starmer, a dull fellow but, significantly, one married to a Jewish woman, and their children are being brought up as if fully Jewish.

The first tweeter, a scribbler who describes herself as “zionist“, and who has (supposedly) nearly 40,000 Twitter “followers”, asks the question. She gets just over a thousand retweets from her “followers” (and/or stray Twitter readers).

That may or may not mean that 39,000 of her “followers” either disagree with her, or cannot be bothered to retweet, or that they think that she should have given an alternative option such as “like” for “No”, or even “history can be and should be examined and revised, because an asserted “fact”, or asserted “facts”, are not a religious article of faith but a matter for consideration of all or any evidence.”

Still, there are 65 million inhabitants in the UK, and only about a thousand agreed with the proposition. 1 out of every 65,000. Or to put it another way, only 1 out of every 40 of her own supposed Twitter “followers”.

As to the second tweeter, he/she does not seem to have considered that 39,000 out of 40,000 “followers” disagree, that even some Jews think that history is a moveable feast, revision necessary and even inevitable, and that people have the right to question such doubtful propaganda as comprise the “holocaust” farrago.

Spitting Image

Younger readers of my blog will not recall Spitting Image, the satirical puppet show broadcast last in 1996 (apparently, there is a now a new version on pay-TV): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spitting_Image.

The show was wildly popular in the late 1980s Thatcher period and, later, during the time of the John Major government. Politicians and other international figures were cuttingly, even cruelly, mocked: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spitting_Image#International_politicians.

I just saw this amusing take-off of the UK television quiz show, Mastermind [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastermind_(British_game_show)], satirizing the Israeli Prime Minister and former anti-British terrorist, Shamir [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yitzhak_Shamir]:

Needless to say, in the Britain of 2021, where the political field is completely ruled by Jewish/Zionist interests, such a show could never be broadcast. The Jewish pressure groups such as the very small but well-funded “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] would be on the case at once, whining about “antisemitism” and “race hate” etc.

Similar whining probably did occur even 30+ years ago, but the UK’s political, legal, and law-enforcement milieux were less “infested” then. Also, “they” had not managed to have Parliament pass bad and repressive laws against freedom of expression, such as Communications Act 2003, s.127.

Spitting Image was at least as cutting at times as the more recent cartoons and songs of Alison Chabloz, for which she has been serially prosecuted over the past 3 years, though her several months of imprisonment just recently were triggered not by satire but simply by her participation in an Internet “radio” podcast discussion. A sign of the times.

I notice that some replies to the above tweet make similar points:

Look at who is at the head of degraded UK politics today: the incompetent and in fact useless person posing as Prime Minister is part-Jew, part-Levantine, and a Conservative Friends of Israel member, while the equally useless Leader of the Opposition has a Jewish wife, his children are being brought up as if fully-Jewish, and he “has no problem” with the apparently “traditional” toasts to the President of Israel proposed at Jewish dinners (which he frequently attends). Starmer is a member of Labour Friends of Israel, as are all or almost all (I think all) the members of the Labour Shadow Cabinet.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of whatever happened on that day in 1974, the fact is that that was 47 years ago. Moreover, the actual terrorists, and armed paramilitary force operatives, of that period have not, since 1998, generally been pursued or prosecuted. My view is slightly different: assess students. Give the top 10% full grants to cover both tuition and living expenses. Give partial grants (maybe tuition only) to the next 20%. Anyone else to be permitted to attend any institution if they raise the funds themselves or take loans which would have to be repaid no matter what pay the lender eventually gets when employed or self-employed.

A large number of poorly-functioning academic institutions should probably be closed down.

People often think that “confronting” System MPs accomplishes something. Not really.

I can remember when System party conferences were huge, both huge affairs in terms of numbers and huge in terms of news and public attention. Now look. Are there even 100 people there, listening to some nonentity?

Ridley Road

I have not seen the new BBC TV drama series Ridley Road. It was first shown yesterday. I may watch the whole thing eventually. Needless to say, my provisional view is that the BBC should not be showing glorification of Jewish thugs, gangsters and, in effect, terrorists (the “62 Group”).

Incidentally, Ridley Road is a Jewish product through and through. I was just reading (as one does!) the report in the Jewish Chronicle: https://www.thejc.com/culture/tv/ridley-road-my-passion-project-1.520894.

The Jewish Chronicle does not disguise the fact that Ridley Road is a Jewish product; au contraire, it is proud of the fact:

Strange, I did not see the Jew comedian Baddiel complain when a recent TV production had Ann Boleyn, of all people, played by a black actress, and indeed one who is even American! I also never see any complaints from him —or others of his type— when Jewish actors and actresses play the roles of non-Jews… the arguably most egregious example of the latter situation was when the film Nicholas and Alexandra had Janet Suzman as the Tsaritsa Alexandra! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_and_Alexandra; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Suzman.

For me, that miscasting ruined what was otherwise quite a good film.

If that poor woman were to crush a couple of the bastards with her car, she would, I believe, be acquitted (of anything) by almost any jury in the land. As for that smug white-haired bastard, who seems to be a ringleader, I should imagine that the woman stopped from getting to hospital thinks that he deserves to be hit over the head (at the very least).

I am all in favour of English politeness (I myself am often too polite to nuisances and even enemies) but there has to come a time when action must be taken.

Those clips from LBC show a society which is starting to break down. If the authorities, the police, the courts, will not keep the peace, then either the people themselves will take action (eventually), or they will call for those willing to do so to seize all power and authority.

LBC reporter Rachel Venables says to the crazed woman interviewee that “protests work, but...”— Hello?! How do those para-terroristic “protests” “work”? They will result in not one more building being insulated. They just interfere with ordinary citizens.

That “protestor” bitch could not plausibly complain if she got a slap, or more, from the people she is impeding. To her, the woman trying to get to her aged mother in hospital is just collateral damage in a war against civilized Western society.

As for the view of that “protester” that she is fighting for the UK’s children— in fact she is doing the opposite, wanting society to start travelling back to the Stone Age. I wonder what that “protester” thinks about mass immigration (migration-invasion)? I would bet good money that she favours it… Evil creature, posing as “good”.

Remember 1989? In the years before 1989, next to no-one thought that huge changes were going to happen any time soon; in and after 1989, we saw what happened, starting in 1989 itself and rolling on afterwards: the collapse of socialism worldwide, the collapse of Arab oil power (and so strategic military power), the collapse under pressure of the anti-Israel states (notably Iraq and Syria, but also Egypt, Libya etc), the globalization of the finance-capitalist economies, including services.

2022 is the next pivotal year.

Where are the police, anyway, in clearing the UK’s roads? Surely they cannot all be busy pandering to Jewish nuisances complaining about online criticism?

I have never understood (or rather, only understood in more recent years) why the UK Government pandered to Sinn Fein/IRA in so many ways for so long.

For one thing, from Washington, or Langley, the UK is but part of the European space, with Northern Ireland a far smaller and less important piece of the jigsaw. The USA was facing the Warsaw Pact and Comecon in the 1970s, 1980s, and its priority was to keep Western and part of Central Europe onside, and in NATO. The UK government had to humour the USA “ally”.

Then you had the Irish lobby in the USA, not so influential at the State Department or in the CIA, but very influential in Congress.

The ignorance-level among many American “Irish” was huge. I myself recall that, in early 1990s New Jersey and New York City. The only sensible fellow was the owner of the old and famous McSorley’s Old Ale House, where I occasionally drank a few afternoon beers c.1990. The owner once or twice chatted with me. He fished in Ireland every year, and was not the kind of “Irish” American who thought that the UK was at war with the Republic of Ireland (many others did!).

Reverting to Northern Ireland, there was also the point that the UK government policy was to keep the Catholic/Republican population quiet. So government jobs were created in Belfast and Londonderry/Derry, social security was paid out almost no questions asked (even Gerry Adams, the Sinn Fein/IRA chief in Belfast, got the dole!), and public housing was improved greatly.

There was never a serious attempt to suppress rebellion, in the Soviet way.

At the same time, many UK mainstream journalists were sympathetic to the IRA in the early 1970s.

All of the above (except my digression re. McSorley’s pub), eventually led to the peace accords of 1998. A further aspect was the growing demographic strength of the Catholic/Republican community, which comprised about 30% of the population in 1970, but greater in 1998 (and about 40% now).
