Diary Blog, 26 January 2022, with a few thoughts about Southend-on-Sea and the Southend West by-election

The “panicdemic, together with its absurd “laws”, “rules” and “guidance”, has exposed, brutally, the level of psychopathology in large parts of the population. In various ways. Those who fear, not “the virus”, at root, but everything outside their own circle. The obsessive and pointless mask-wearing is one example. Another is the alacrity seen in those suddenly given petty power to tell others to wear a facemask, wear it differently or better, stay x-feet away from other shoppers (or from the said obsessive), and so on.

“The virus” has also exposed what little real respect most people now have for civil liberties, or even logic. So it was that the people —many, perhaps most, of them— accepted the ludicrous “Rule of Six” made up by the part-Jew, part-Levantine chancer and liar posing as Prime Minister.

Doubt about the official narrative has grown, but only slowly, and it may be that the System overplayed its hand, in that the conspiratorial “SAGE” committee (I used to call it “DUMB”— the “Department Under Matt and Boris”) heralded the “Omicron variant” as something likely to kill hundreds of thousands.

Well, now, only weeks after the latest alarmist predictions of the egregious Professor Ferguson and his cohorts, we see that “Omicron” is killing almost no-one, despite the frenzied testing and consequent announcement of millions of “cases”.

The public is waking up, though seems to have little real anger about having been played for two years. The System has spun it as “the measures taken mean that —if we keep “vaccinating”— we can live with Covid“. That spin or gloss pats on the back SAGE, the No.10 chancer, the government as a whole, and the poor saps otherwise known as The Great British Public…

Thus the Government (weakly opposed by the “we can run workhouses better” fake Opposition) can remove the various restrictions without having to admit to having got it wrong for 2 years, and without having to impliedly admit that the “panicdemic” was also —largely, not entirely— a “scamdemic”, and the measures taken for other reasons.

Southend West by-election

I have already blogged briefly about the upcoming by-election at Southend West, set down for 3 February 2022: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/01/13/diary-blog-13-january-2022/.

Seems that the latest news is that canvassers for the Conservative Party have been met with “a wall of disapproval” never previously encountered. That may mean a very low turnout as people “vote with their feet”. They cannot vote for any credible alternative because they have been denied that option.

The System parties have decided that, as with the Jo Cox assassination, the David Amess incident must be marked by the voters being denied a proper choice at the by-election, leaving standing only the “Conservative” Party candidate and a ragbag of small and/or joke parties and independents.

It will be interesting to see what proportion of the vote will go to Steve Laws (UKIP), who is somewhat known, by reason of his monitoring of, and tweeting about, the cross-Channel migration-invasion. He seems to be the front runner after the “Conservative” woman, though Catherine Blaiklock (English Democrats) may get quite a few votes.

I doubt whether Jayda Fransen (standing as Independent) will do well, but perhaps the Southend West voters will confound me.

Southend is not an area I know. I have been there, though only for an hour or so, and long ago, in 1977 or 1978.

I had returned from a youthful misadventure in Rhodesia, aged 20-21, and had signed up for a temporary job doing various kinds of casual work. One such, for a few days, was travelling around London delivering booze to various places as the driver’s mate, hauling crates around.

I remember that one destination was Pentonville Prison (for the guards), a cavalry barracks in Hounslow (the Sergeant’s Mess), and a bingo hall in some concrete town in Essex (Basildon? I forget now). Also, to what was either the Conservative Club, or the Naval and Military Club, Southend-on-Sea.

I remember that the Club to which we delivered was on a kind of bluff or clifftop overlooking the sea. There was a greensward between the Club and the clifftop. A tree growing there too (a monkeypuzzle tree? Or is that my memory inventing something?).

The sun was just setting over the sea, and that, together with the Union Jack on a flagpole, rendered the scene somehow elegiac. The Evening Hymn and Last Post might have been fitting.

Looking now at Google Maps and Google Earth, I think that that club was “Naval and Military” rather than “Conservative”. The latter seems to have been in a less pleasant setting in the middle of the town, and to have closed permanently a few years ago, a function of the declining membership of the Conservative Party: https://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/16385600.southend-conservative-club-close-doors-final-time/.

I remember the day mentioned partly because, having launched a crate of Scotch down a wooden chute to the cellar from the street, it had unfortunately slid down far too fast, and right into the gammy leg of the steward, who let out a few oaths that were certainly blue, and possibly naval, though not necessarily Conservative.

Thanks to the incredible resources now available via Google, Google Earth etc, I have just tracked down the place: Naval and Military Club, 20 Royal Terrace, Southend-on-Sea.

[Naval and Military Club, Southend-on-Sea]

Still going, it seems.

I have just been looking at some photos of Southend. Not terribly pleasant-looking overall. In a way surprising that it is a Conservative Party stronghold.

In fact, that seems not as clearcut as the election results for Southend West and other other local constituency (Rochford and Southend East) would suggest. Quite a high level of poverty, and the Southend local council is a non-Conservative minority-coalition administration, with little more than a third of all councillors Conservatives (20 out of 51).

The well-known anti-poverty campaigner and creator of recipes made on a shoestring, “Jack” Monroe, aka “the Bootstrap Cook”, is from Southend: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Monroe.

I notice that the local newspaper report on the closure of the Conservative Club in 2018 reported that Southend “is not safe at night“…

BBC “News”

This morning, watched, for the first time in a while, a whole half-hour of BBC TV news. Of the 30 minutes, about 20 mins was given over to the idiot posing as Prime Minister, and as to whether he broke his own ludicrous “Covid” “rules” or “laws”. Then we had 5 minutes about Ukraine and the possibility of invasion by Russian forces. A strange disproportion, to my mind: 20 mins about the idiot at Downing Street, and his cake and wine, but only 5 mins about the possibility (I would think probability) of (more) war in Ukraine.

The remaining 5 mins was mostly the weather report and forecast, the most accurate part of the whole broadcast.

The bit about Ukraine was mostly devoted to someone called James Nixey, an expert from the Chatham House think tank formerly (and surely better-) called the Royal Institute of International Affairs [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chatham_House].

I have little quarrel with what the said Nixey had to say, though it did not tell me anything that I did not already know (but then the news broadcasts are supposedly for the population as a whole).

I noticed that Nixey had on the bookshelves behind him (at his home, apparently, at Pangbourne) a couple of books which I myself have; I saw one about George Blake. https://www.chathamhouse.org/about-us/our-people/james-nixey; https://uk.linkedin.com/in/james-nixey-3621a710.

Not that I do not think that there are not many very good people in the NHS, but the whole juggernaut has gone astray.

If true, it is one of the (very few) things “Boris” has done of which I approve wholeheartedly. Why lie about it? I would rather those innocent animals be rescued than many of the Afghans, some of whom hate us or despise us, and none of whom will ever be anything but a nuisance to us (at best). If “Madame Boris” (Carrie Johnson) got him to do it, well, never mind. It is the sort of thing a “first lady” should do— exercise compassionate influence.

Personal sanctions may be inconvenient to Putin (and those close to him) but they will not change his intent for a second. What is happening now around Ukraine is not the impetuous policy-on-the-hoof of the part-Jews David Cameron-Levita and Nicholas Sarkozy, when they stupidly decided to help the Libyan rebels in 2012. This is a long-considered and carefully worked-out plan by Putin, the Russian General Staff or Stavka, and the intelligence services, especially the GRU.

Putin and others see the Ukraine situation in the light of the 1100 years of conjoined close connection between Russia and Ukraine more than the 30 years of shambolic Ukrainian independence. They see it as a matter of territorial integrity (of the Slavonic heartlands), and also as a matter of existential national survival; they want a dead stop to NATO installing advanced weapons in Ukraine (and Poland, and the Baltic states).

What now? I myself would expect, as blogged recently, there to be an invasion at least of the Eastern part of Ukraine, and probably Kiev area too. I would expect the Spetsnaz forces of the Stavka, perhaps partly undercover, to create chaos in Kiev and some other key cities and non-urban locations first, before tanks roll in. and before the skies are full of descending parachutes.

I doubt that Russian forces plan to occupy anywhere much west of the Dnieper. Putin would rather install a pro-Russian Ukrainian government in Kiev, which would at least try to control the western part of Ukraine, while allowing the eastern part to exercise (pro-Russian) near-autonomy.

Russia gains little or nothing by delay. Every day that passes now makes a potential invasion or “incursion” slightly more difficult for Russian forces.

The Soviet Union always had awesome capabilities for swift mass deployment of forces (eg in Afghanistan), especially by air, and Russia’s newly-upgraded forces still have that, as far as I can see. The main reason that Russia did not simply invade a week or more ago was probably that Putin needed to “condition” the European states and the USA to the idea of Russian incursion, so as to obviate a sudden “Cuban Missile Crisis” situation developing.

Now, Putin can be sure that all that the NATO core states (really just USA and UK) will do is to impose blah-blah “sanctions” on Russia and its leaders. No attempt at direct military parrying. Biden has said as much. As for “Boris”, he is just a spectator, really.

Putin would probably prefer to “win without war”, in the famous phrase of Sun-Tzu, but it seems doubtful that the Kiev government will give him what he wants (though the Kiev leaders do seem to be disenchanted with the USA’s lukewarm support, so there is a slight possibility).

As said previously, I doubt that Russian forces would invade, or need to invade, more than a few miles west of Kiev. Mostly in the eastern part of the country, where there are several million ethnic-Russian civilians living.

Also, Russia will try to work psychologically on the Ukrainian population, mainly in Kiev and east of the Dnieper. Anxiety, maybe panic etc. If unexpected sabotage etc takes place, the countdown has begun.

I would expect the storm to break, if it does, within a week or so of today.

Diary Blog, 24 January 2022, including thoughts about both Ukraine and deadhead MP Abena Oppong-Asare

Morning music

On this day a year ago

Looking again at that post, what is striking to me is how many tweets quoted therein are from tweeters now “cancelled”, removed from Twitter, usually (and like me) at the behest of the Jew-Zionist cabal on Twitter (the said Jew-Zionists even call themselves “J-Twitter”…).

Deadhead MP Abena Oppong-Asare

I happened to see a few tweets about yet another deadhead MP.

https://twitter.com/LauraMStuart9/status/1485384136999280640?s=20

Watch and listen to the ridiculous creature: https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1554427/Labour-MP-Abena-Oppong-Asare-cost-of-living-warm-home-discount-energy-bills-vn.

Back in her home country (Ghana), I suppose she would, at most, be running a market stall or something of the kind.

I am moved to write a little about her, despite there being too little information around for me to pen an entire article on her as yet.

This is her, a real “deadhead” MP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abena_Oppong-Asare. Note the all-too-typical characteristics of the breed: a superficially-impressive-sounding degree (Politics with International Relations) and a “Master’s” degree (in International Law with International Relations), but nothing behind it. In fact, these are soft degrees, the sort no-one ever fails.

After university, i.e. about 2005 or 2006, she seems to have worked as…nothing (at least according to Wikipedia). Indeed, her own website makes no mention of anything beyond “speaking up”, and “engaging” with “communities”: https://www.abenaoppongasare.com/about/.

This “speaking up” and “engaging” seems to have included being a councillor in South-East London for 4 years.

So were spent about 13 years, until Ms. Oppong-Asare was selected, then elected (2019), as MP for the rundown multikulti seat of Erith and Thamesmead (parts of which are 85% white, but parts majority non-white). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thamesmead; her vote-share was 48%. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erith_and_Thamesmead_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2010s

2015 London-Thamesmead, aerial view 2.jpg
[part of Thamesmead]

Sadly, the golf course shown above (a municipal one) was closed, after 23 years, in 2014, so that…yes… a developer could build more boxes for people, it seems. The developer’s plea that nature would be helped by such development is a classic example of such weaselling: https://www.fromthemurkydepths.co.uk/2020/12/28/peabody-look-to-partly-build-on-former-thamesmead-golf-course/. Still, the devil is always in the detail. I suppose that if an area has (?) been left to rewild, then that would be better for birds and animals than a golf course (but how big an area?).

[Thamesmead South]
[Thamesmead West]

The proportion of black Africans in the area is the highest in the UK (over a third of the population, it seems).

We have seen a certain type of MP elected not infrequently in recent years: Dawn Butler, Fiona Onasanya etc. Is it because the Labour Party wants to appeal to non-white voters? Not entirely; Fiona Onasanya was selected without interview to contest a constituency where only about 2% of the population is black. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2018/12/21/deadhead-mps-an-occasional-series-the-fiona-onasanya-story/.

See also: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7881187/I-need-write-forehead-Black-Labour-MPs-complain-racism-Parliament.html

It seems that Labour (at least under Corbyn and Miliband) was just obsessed by getting blacks in the House of Commons (and the Lords as well).

Under Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer, this has not much changed: Abena Oppong-Asare is now promoted Shadow Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury!

As to Thamesmead, I have never been there, though I recall visiting people in both Erith and Woolwich, nearby suburbs, in the late 1970s and then late 1980s (only one brief visit to each place, though). This is not a part of England that I can claim to know, I am glad to say.

I was just looking on wonderful Google Maps and Google Earth. Thamesmead does not look too bad in places, better than I expected from what I have heard over the years. Quite a lot of greenery, and much of the area does not look too crowded or (on the face of it) squalid, though some bits do look more like the expected concrete jungle. Here and there, one could imagine oneself in the former DDR (East Germany) or even the former Soviet Union.

Google Earth and Google Maps, a harmless but compelling addiction…

Well, there it is. I despise the present “Conservative” government, but Labour offers nothing better. As I have said before, that is the voters’ dilemma at present.

In my usual spirit of fairness, I now repost one of Ms. Oppong-Asare’s recent tweets (though the nature walk notified has by now already taken place):

Final thought: I suppose that, before long, even entirely legitimate comments such as the above will be banned and even criminalized for both “racism” and “misogyny”. Unless Britain wakes up soon, it’s finished except as a dystopian and Zionist-ruled multikulti hellhole.

Politically-misguided“? In what way? Tactically-misguided maybe…

When the “heretic”, Giordano Bruno, was burned at the stake in the Italy of 1600, monks hammered a wooden plug into his mouth so that he could not “blaspheme” as he died. Their justification for that was, also, because by blaspheming (if he blasphemed) he would be endangering his soul. i.e. it was for his own good! The Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan is being implemented by an illegitimate regime posing as a legitimate government. ZOG. Not that “Labour” (label) would be any different; they would just arrange the deckchairs differently on the deck of the Titanic. https://www.westernspring.co.uk/the-coudenhove-kalergi-plan-the-genocide-of-the-peoples-of-europe/.

Incidentally, you see various assertions that the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan does not exist. Well, read about it, preferably not from (((infested))) sources, then just look around you. It’s all happening right in front of us, in different ways.

Ukraine

Was just reading a Daily Mail report on the near future for gas supplies and prices: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10433561/Britain-face-record-breaking-gas-petrol-prices-Putin-launches-Russian-invasion-Ukraine.html.

Some of the reader comments are unintentionally funny, betraying an ignorance almost the size of Russia itself. Example:

AlyceInWonderland, Everywhere, United Kingdom, moments ago

But Russia helped the UK all through WW2 by fighting the Germans on their Northern front and also supplied the UK with Artic convoys.

[Reader comment, Daily Mail].

Leaving aside the misspelling (“Artic“), the reader seems to be unaware that the Soviet Union and the German Reich were at peace until late June 1941, nearly 22 months after Britain and France declared war on the Reich. That commentator is evidently also unaware that, so far from “Russia” supplying the UK during WW2, Britain and its Empire, as well as the USA, supplied the Soviet Union via the (British) Arctic convoys (the USA also supplied the Soviet Union via Alaska).

Regular readers of my blog will be aware that I have expressed the view that Russia must make its move on Ukraine soon or not at all. The US and, to a much smaller extent, UK, are funnelling arms to the Kiev government.

There is some suggestion that, unusually, the ground is not totally frozen. When it is, Russian armour can move more easily.

The Kiev regime is totally corrupt, and hugely inefficient. Ukraine’s armed forces are not capable of beating those of Russia, having been run down for 30 years. Since about 2005, Russia has been upgrading its armed forces from their 1990s post-Soviet low point.

Look at the map from the Daily Mail:

British Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab yesterday promised Britain would impose harsh sanctions on Russia should President Vladimir Putin authorise an invasion of neighbouring Ukraine (pictured)

The Dnieper river splits the country, as can be seen. East of that river, the population is mainly Russian or pro-Russian, especially towards the South and South-East. The same pro-Russian attitude applies in Crimea, which was taken back under direct Russian control several years ago.

The most anti-Russian or Ukrainian-nationalist area of Ukraine is in the western part, centred on Lvov (“Lviv” on the newspaper map).

Were Putin to order the annexation or effective annexation of the Eastern Ukraine, where the population is mainly pro-Russian, it would be accomplished without major difficulty. That would also join the Eastern Ukraine undeniably to Crimea.

The present rumours of an advance on Kiev may or may not be true, but if so would be for the purpose of installing a pro-Russian government de facto. Whether Russia would occupy all or even most of Western Ukraine is, I should imagine, doubtful. It can be seen that Kiev sits between the two main parts of Ukraine. The Russians might take Kiev but then only occupy a belt perhaps 50 miles from the Dnieper.

Kiev has 3 million inhabitants, and is the 7th-most-populous city in all of Europe inc. European Russia and European Turkey (after Istanbul, Moscow, London, St. Petersburg, Berlin, and Madrid).

It was surprising even to me to see that Kiev has considerably more inhabitants than Paris (which is 9th on the list); we should always keep learning.

In fact, Kharkov (“Kharkiv” on that map) is 18th on that list, between Munich (17th) and Milan (19th).

Ukraine has 41 million inhabitants, down from over 50 million in late-Soviet days: “Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Ukraine’s population hit a peak of roughly 52 million in 1993. However, due to its death rate exceeding its birth rate, mass emigration, poor living conditions, and low-quality health care,[321][322] the total population decreased by 6.6 million.” [Wikipedia].

The population arithmetic may be questionable, or in dispute, but the basic fact is not: Ukraine has been appallingly-badly run since 1991. Corruption has been unbelievable. Where did the money go? Well, one of the richest individuals in the UK is an expatriate Ukrainian Jew, apparently worth £15 BILLION… and he is only one of many.

If Russia occupies a generally North-South line, somewhere west of Kiev, it can install a pro-Russian government, which can then grant the eastern or south-eastern part of Ukraine autonomy, meaning it will be almost as if part of Russia.

In fact, with Kharkov and Donetsk in Russian hands, together with Kiev and Dnipro [former Dnipropetrovsk], four out of the five largest cities will be controlled by Russia, together with much of the population of Ukraine, including 8M+ Russians. The rump to the west would retain only two really large cities (Odessa and Lvov).

It may be that a pro-Russian regime or government de facto in Kiev would be able to control, after a while, most of Ukraine. Whether a dissident regime could fall back on Lvov and the western areas, and survive, is an open question.

As for the UK, this really is not our battle, but of course the USA and UK governments are controlled by NWO/ZOG. Those cabals and ruling circles are pushing their agenda, an agenda that has nothing at all to do with the interests of the British (or American) people.

If Russia invades Ukraine, but fails to take out Kiev, then Kiev will be a centre of resistance, and will give the present government legitimacy in the eyes of the world. Taken out (Kiev, that is), the present government will be just a bunch of exiles in London or Lvov, without quite the same weight.

Traditionally (except during WW2), UK governments have not recognized governments de jure but only de facto. If a government is in practical power, it is treated as effectively “the” government, and legitimate.

[Update, 24 January 2023: Superficially, it could be said that my above analysis was flawed, in that I predicted a good chance of easy annexation of Eastern Ukraine. As we now know, that did not happen. However, it did not happen not because it could not have happened but because the Russian Army General Staff, as well as the GRU (military intelligence), and indeed much of the Russian Army, proved to be unfit for purpose, “a colossus on legs of straw“…

Having said that, the game is as yet not at an end].

Sits in a well-paid sinecure in Washington D.C., and pushes for war far far away, in Eastern Europe.

Slightly misleading, in that not all Russian forces can be concentrated on Ukraine. Still, even if Russia were to deploy only a fifth of its power, the disparity would still be overwhelming.

That was especially apparent in 2020. I myself had one —brief— argument with a bloody ch…I mean Chinese…student of some kind, and stormed out of at least one shop where the assistant, for once in her miserable life, had the power to order the customer around (she thought).

Those tweets are still behind the curve. There will probably be no need for outright compulsion. It will just be made increasingly hard to live on anything beyond a down-and-out level without the “digital passport”, which will before too long be in the form of an implanted microchip.

Think how most people in the UK and other advanced countries now live. It is not compulsory to have personal Internet access, or debit/credit cards, or a mobile telephone. It is just that life is increasingly difficult without them.

I recall, years ago, circa 2007, asking whether I might pay for a business hotel (already booked by card) because I had a superfluity of cash at the time, and being told I could use cash, but only if I both showed ID and paid a deposit (I think £100 or £50) in cash upfront. Now? Maybe cash is not even accepted; I rarely, practically never, stay in hotels these days (15 years ago, I probably spent about half of the month in hotels).

That is how the microchipped population will be created, not by force but by guile, and because convenience will trump freedom.

Yes, mere weeks ago even the egregious “Covid criminal”, Professor Ferguson, was still being respectfully listened to by BBC drones as he predicted hundreds of thousands of dying (from Omicron, Delta etc) patients would swamp the NHS. In fact, the hospitals are half-empty in many areas.

Strange to think that that boy, aged 13 in the photo, would eventually have been Tsar of all the Russias, had both he and Tsarism itself survived the brutal onslaught of Bolshevism. He was murdered just before his 14th birthday.

The grande luxe cars of that era certainly had style.

Germany was devastated during the 1941-1945 period of history; it does not want that to happen, and even worse, a second time. (True, Estonia suffered greatly as well…).

Who pays for propaganda-journalism of that type? As for the ludicrous conclusion that “the UK has no intention of letting Ukraine fall“, it will take more than a few tweets by Liz Truss, a few remarks by Boris-idiot, and a few planes filled with weapons, to ensure that. How many such flights were sent to the equally-useless and corrupt Afghan government in Kabul?

I wonder whether Biden might accept any Russian offer to decide the matter by a referendum of the people of Eastern Ukraine? I suppose not, because 90% would want to separate from Ukraine and, in some way, cohere with Russia.

Putin will, in these last days, still try to “win without war”, in the words of Sun-Tzu, but as every day passes, more arms and ammo are flown into Ukraine by the USA, UK and others. That obviously makes a swift invasion, at least into Eastern Ukraine, more likely.

Almost all correct from Rory Stewart, but is he correct in saying that Britain is still “a great country”? I think not. Not now. It could be, though, that under the right ideology and the right leadership, Britain could rise again, if it changed some demographics and some habits.

Incidentally, I blogged about Stewart a few years ago: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/03/will-rory-stewart-mp-be-prime-minister/.

Stewart, like so many in UK politics, talks a good game, indeed better than most, but adds up to less than the sum of his many parts. Read my assessment, which I have updated with add-ons since it was written in 2019: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/03/will-rory-stewart-mp-be-prime-minister/.

Of course, Stewart is no longer an MP, and so could not, as things stand, be a Conservative Party leadership candidate.

I would rather trust Putin and Russia any day rather than those Qatari bastards.

Look at Twitter. Every well-connected American msm Jew is anti-Putin, anti-Russia: David Frum, Ben Shapiro etc.

Coudenhove-Kalergi propaganda

A reader of the blog sent me an article from a Scottish newspaper.

Actually frightening, not just because the author explicitly commends what he calls the “brownification” of Europe, but also because he thinks that the population of the world is not really very high, whereas the truth is that the natural world is now breaking under the strain of numbers, most of which hordes are non-white.

When was it that the journalistic trade in London became almost entirely Jewish? I suppose sometime in the 1980s or 1990s. Certainly, looking at what was once “Fleet Street”, that trade has become so and, today, almost every newspaper scribbler, at least in the national Press, seems to be Jewish, or at least partly so.

I wonder what percentage of Americans want war with Russia over Ukraine or Eastern Ukraine? Whatever the answer to that, I imagine that the figure drops towards zero if those polled are told that war with Russia means a nuclear attack near to their own homes.

Morning music

[Hermitage (formerly, Winter Palace), St. Petersburg, Russia]

On this day a year ago

In that year-ago blog post, I saw a few things that now make me laugh all over again, like the very true assertion, contained in a tweet from one of the huge number of Twitter accounts now closed down by the online censors: “Leftism is when you think the best way to stick it to your boss is to ensure he has an unending supply of cheap imported labor..”

Quite. In a nutshell. That Twitter account was American, but it applies just as well here in the UK. Those (eg the “refugees welcome” dimwits) who think that you can have unlimited or almost unlimited mass immigration, yet still have a high-income, high-skilled economy (and also a properly-funded Welfare State), are just completely wrongheaded.

I myself never use “Right”, Left” terminology in any sense which confers legitimacy upon it.

The only extra point to add (and only necessary because there is so much deliberate misinformation around, especially on Twitter) is that many of the migrant-invaders entering the UK will never enter the UK workforce as such, because they not only have no usable skills, meaning skills useful in an advanced economy, but also either speak no English at all, or only at the most basic level (and in many cases never will).

In other words, mass immigration creates a huge drag on the society and economy; you could even call it a millstone around our collective neck.

Of course, the self-describing “Left” have pretty much given up any struggle to create a better society. They have no ideology (beyond vague “anti-racism”, “anti-sexism” etc) which might underpin such a struggle. Socialism in the old sense more or less died in and after 1989, the last significant year of the 1956-1989 ~33-year cycle. What is left is effectively worthless, a farrago of mixed-up nonsense, not only ideologically vague, but practically confused.

The above example about mass immigration is just one example of the confusion. Another is about free speech online. The virtue-signallers of the self-describing “Left” almost all celebrate the removal of social-national Twitter accounts such as mine (rubbed out in 2018 after a conspiracy by a pack of Zionist Jews); the same virtue-signallers celebrate equally the removal of Twitter accounts belonging to so-called “alt-Right” figures such as Katie Hopkins, and those of dissidents such as David Icke.

The “online fora” (Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, ebay etc) are of course all run and actually owned by hugely wealthy companies (and individuals, mostly Jews), but the self-describing “Left” has nothing to say about all that, still less any plan to change the structure; for them, all that matters is that “fascists” (those with whom they disagree) are removed from having any online “platform” (where they might enjoy freedom of expression).

They just do not see that what has happened is that they, and those like them, are now contained in a big gilded cage, where they can squawk endlessly about “racism”, “sexism” etc while having not the slightest real impact on the world.

The same kind of dissonance as over immigration is seen in the attitude of the same people about Palestine, Israel, and the Jewish situation in the world. They (most of them) oppose Israel as a state, and go halfway toward such ideas as “BDS” (economic boycotts of Israel, and avoidance of Israeli products etc), but the majority of them are still brainwashed by the whole “holocaust” farrago, and almost all of them no doubt think that the disastrous and destructive war against the German Reich was A Very Good Thing. Few would see a problem in the fact that exploitative Jewish control of economies, legal systems, political systems permeates what might be called “the Western world”, our world.

Even when they see fraudulent Jewish exploiters such as Philip Green, Robert Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein and others, those self-describing “Left” people see only finance-capitalists…

As Goethe put it in Faust, and from the mouth of Mephistopheles, “the good folk do not see the Devil, even when he sits on their shoulder.” The “Leftists” see only the part of the narrative that fits in with their pre-1989 ideology.

You saw all of the above in the UK Labour Party’s Corbyn and McDonnell double-act: Corbyn with his skeletal “ideology” composed of elements taken, half-baked, from 20thC history, such as the so-called “Battle of Cable Street”, selected and half-understood bits from the Spanish Civil War (“!No Pasaran” etc), anti-Israel support for Palestine, yet at the same time his lip-service to the “holocaust” farrago, and of course “anti-fascism”. As clunky as a Trabant.

Both “sides” of the Labour Party offer nothing to the British people (though neither does this shambolic “Conservative” government, of course).

Unusual travelogue

That YouTube account, though slightly irritating at times, is usually quite interesting. The subtitles are rubbish, but you don’t need to know Russian: mostly English commentary.

As for BAM (Baikal-Amur-Mainline), it was once said, by dissidents, that every Soviet generation had its large and, they claimed, not very useful, engineering project: inter alia, the White Sea Canal, the Turk-Sib railway, the Virgin Lands scheme, and BAM. True, but some of those are at least not useless, and some are also very impressive.

“Thought for the day”

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools
:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

[Kipling, If]

Once again, we see the impact one individual can have on a large-scale problem. The newspaper report is well worth reading.

Both major System parties are basically, and putting it politely, two faces of the same coin.

Only social nationalism has even a chance of saving anything worthwhile in Britain, but there is no social-national party worthy of the name, let alone any social-national movement.

If the State, controlled secretly by inner ruling circles and cabals, turns against the people, then the people have the inherent right to fight back, using whatever methods are expedient.

For “the welfare of the people is the highest law” [Cicero].

A few more thoughts about Ukraine

Any Russian incursion into Eastern Ukraine would have been bloodless, but will now not be, partly because the corrupt Kiev regime will probably try to resist, despite the vast bulk of the Eastern Ukraine population favouring Russia.

The arms and money (and “advisers”) from the UK and —mainly— USA being sent to Ukraine contain the seeds of a wider conflict, because any large-scale resistance by the Kiev government will probably result in retaliation against it by Russian forces. That might include massive attack on Kiev itself. Whether that will result in American direct involvement remains to be seen, though I doubt that the USA has the will to fight Russia directly, on the ground.

Eastern Ukraine was part of the Russo-Slavonic polity for over a thousand years. It was under Muscovite control for hundreds of years. The present corrupt, and basically Jew-dominated, Ukraine, has only been around for 29-30 years as a (failed) state. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Ukraine.

Without interference from outside, Eastern Ukraine would fall under Russian control as willingly as Austria joined with the German Reich in 1938.

As for the USA, does it have the will to put its own safety on the line for the Kiev regime? I doubt it. Biden’s recent statement was a nod and wink to Russia that this will not cause a superpower conflict (if Russia still counts as a superpower…perhaps not, but near enough!).

Yes, the USA probably does have many times the military-destructive power of Russia, but the fact is that Russia could still annihilate most if not all American cities if it so chose, albeit at a like cost. You can only wipe out a city once, no matter how many and how powerful are your nuclear weapons.

As for political leadership, Biden seems to have some form of dementia. If he had to resign, the government of the USA would be, at least nominally, in the hands of part-black, part-Indian, part (small part) Irish, Kamala Harris, but one can assume that the “deep state”, i.e. the secret cabals and ruling circles, would continue to pull the strings. NWO, if you like, and “ZOG”.

Russia looks like it is about to make a big move on the geopolitical chessboard.

Yes, the “panicdemic” has only partly succeeded in corralling the public worldwide, and only partly in the UK as well. Suddenly, “Covid” “restrictions” are going to be stood down, only weeks after the latest scam propaganda over “Omicron”, and how hundreds of thousands would be filling NHS hospitals. All lies.

However, the repressive laws will mostly still be there, ready to be used and indeed repurposed, any time that the “secret state” decides.

Yes, Gates was investing in vaccines over a year before the “panicdemic” started (or was started)…

In looking at recent UK governments, it is always a battle between malice and sheer incompetence…

Jew found guilty of harassment-related death is hiding in Israel

https://www.timesofisrael.com/france-seeks-extradition-of-french-israeli-hacker-for-death-following-phone-hoax/.

One notices that, on UK Twitter, many of the fanatical Jew-Zionists, who have been harassing non-Jews (and even some anti-Zionist Jews) for years, either have pseudonymous “sock accounts”, or hide full-time behind pseudonyms. Some have been exposed, some not (as yet). Time to go en ratissage, to see if others can be uncovered.

Not mentioned in that Times of Israel report is the fact that the fugitive Jew(s) (how many of them are there?) also targeted brave and now-deceased “revisionist” historian (surely most good historians are revisionist?), Robert Faurisson [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Faurisson], in poor health at the time. Well, you would not expect decent behaviour from “them”, would you? In that respect, “they” never disappoint.

Tweeter “@MaierViv” is worth following, for those who still have a Twitter account. The Jew-Zionists have been trying for years to have her expelled, so far without having succeeded.

Rachel Reeves, MP, Shadow Cabinet minister under Keir Starmer, and (of course) a member of Labour Friends of Israel (like the rest of the Shadow Cabinet). I have as yet been unable to discover whether she is part-Jewish or not; my instinct is that she is, but I have as yet no direct evidence of the fact, if it is a fact.

The (((Lobby)))…

There is a ~33-year cycle, as I have blogged on previous occasions: 1923, 1956, 1989, 2022.

The New World Order was proclaimed openly by President Bush snr. in early 1990. Socialism collapsed worldwide from the 1989 pivot-year, symbolized of course by the literal collapse of the Berlin Wall. South Africa was destroyed as a white European country in Africa, destroyed from within. The UK Labour Party removed “Clause Four” (nationalization etc) from its Constitution in the early 1990s. The USA started its campaign of attacking Iraq, in order to remove the anti-Israel states in general; since then, we have seen Iraq, Syria, Libya and Lebanon effectively neutralized, and Egypt controlled from a distance by bribery and infiltration. A few examples…

The post-1989 effect ripples on, as do the effects from 1956 etc. A new impetus is now brought in, which can be summarized as putting into effect, as far as possible, the “White Genocide” implicit in the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan, meaning the destruction of white Europe, and its replacement by a mixed race population, ruled over and/or influenced by (brainwashed by) Jews and part-Jews. That, and the microchipping of the population of the Earth, starting with the advanced countries.

That silly woman, “@furnessgirl”, used to attack me on Twitter before the Jew-Zionist lobby had me expelled. Typical of much of the self-describing “Left” (a meaningless descriptor) on Twitter. Seems to be, like so many of them, fairly comfortably-off, and lives far away from the multikulti urban hellholes which she thinks should be “enriched” by more mass immigration; and so on.

What a surprise— not only a Remain whiner but, as we see so many times, yet another one totally brainwashed by the “panicdemic” propaganda.

As for Henry Williamson, the author of Tarka the Otter, he was a good man, insofar as anyone is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Williamson.

[Tarka the Otter; first edition woodcut]

How typical of the “@furnessgirl” type to dismiss a man such as Henry Williamson with the dismissive or “cancelling” (?) “…a fascist“. Someone who loved animals and wanted to protect them; someone who wanted to avoid a second disastrous 20thC war in Europe (he fought in the first one); someone who saw the good National Socialism had brought to Germany.

As I said, a silly woman, who thinks that she is very clever.

In fairness to her, though, I do agree with her tweet below:

One of the things that infuriate me is that you can be almost certain that, if a British schoolteacher or trainee schoolteacher appears on a TV quiz show, he/she/it will be frighteningly ignorant.

It is hardly surprising that children in the UK so often come out of up to 13 years of full-time primary and secondary education almost devoid of any real knowledge at all, when those who have taught them are themselves often unbelievably ignorant.

I think that a very great deal of the huge amount of money (£99 Billion p.a. at present, 4.5% of national income) which the UK state spends on “education” (as it fondly supposes), is just wasted. https://ifs.org.uk/publications/15858.

In the late 1930s, Britain and France started to offer worthless guarantees to states in Central and Eastern Europe. When Poland called in the chit, in September 1939, and despite the fact that both Britain and France did declare war on the German Reich because of the invasion of Poland by the German Reich, the chit or guarantee was worth nothing.

Poland was still invaded (indeed also invaded from the East, by Soviet forces). No French or British forces fought (or ever could have fought) in or for Poland. As for the Soviet Union, Britain and France did even less to stop its 1939 invasion of Poland; even the words were muted.

Now we see the UK, which has virtually no useful armed forces anyway, alternately threatening Russia (over Ukraine, which was part of the Muscovite state for well over a thousand years, and has had less than 30 recent years of chaotic and corrupt “independence”), and then back-pedalling. The less Liz Truss says, the less foolish she will seem.

When push comes to shove, what then? The USA has been pumping weapons and money into the Kiev regime’s reserves. Let’s say that Russia annexes Eastern Ukraine, where the population are heavily pro-Russian. The shambolic army and militias of the Kiev regime will be defeated. Will the USA declare then war on Russia? I very much doubt that. Obviously, the same applies to the UK. That is not even a question.

In the end, Russia will prevail here. Its leaders may want to win without war, as per Sun Tzu: “to win without war is the supreme excellence“: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_War; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Tzu.

Having said that, even if the Russian leaders would prefer to achieve victory without having to fight, there is no doubt that they will fight if they have to. That applies particularly knowing, as they do, that the opposing forces are unable to resist for long, and that the USA will not want to get involved directly.

Russia would prefer to have a referendum in Eastern Ukraine (only) on whether that region should reintegrate with Russia. Such a referendum would result in a —genuinely— 95%+ vote in favour. Somewhat similar to what happened in Crimea.

The Kiev government would never accept such a referendum. It stands by its view on “territorial integrity”, but that integrity rests on a mere 29-30 years of “independence”, out of about 1,100 years. In Soviet times the Ukraine-Russia border was really just lines on a map, almost meaningless.

So there we have it. The tendentious Defence Correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, Con Coughlin (very pro-Israel etc)[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Con_Coughlin] scribbles that “this is only the start, if we appease Putin now“. So…what does Coughlin want Britain to do? Fire our —few— nuclear missiles on Russia?

Not very clever as a strategy, when dozens (at least) of Russian missiles would then devastate the small UK (which is only a 72nd of the area of Russia). Fight for Ukraine in Ukraine? Again, unintelligent, when the Russian armies massed near Ukraine are already twice the size of the whole British Army.

Anyway, why? Why should British soldiers fight for the Kiev regime? It is a corrupt —and very Israeli-dominated— cabal, which has little legitimacy.

If the UK helps Russia, we can open new trading links, get cheap natural gas, and forget about trying to be a poundland world policeman; that was finished half a century ago at least.

It’s KIEV, not “Kyiv”…

Amazingly self-assured performance from such a young girl. Incidentally, “valenki” are felt boots (traditional Russian winter footwear).

Short foray

Made a foray into a small suburbanized town about 6 miles from my now-humble home. Driving along, and waiting in the car for a while, I was observing the local people. At the railway station, quite a few (what I took to be) 16-18 y-o school students waiting. Every single one was looking at, indeed absorbed in, her or his mobile device, apparently oblivious to other people, the natural world, everything. Few seemed to be typing (if that is the right word); just silently, it seemed, staring down at the device. Strange society…

The other oddity was how many of the older people in the main —in fact only— shopping street were wearing facemasks while walking along; that despite the sun and a light breeze (and the low temperature). About half. The facemask nonsense has become ingrained in the more “conditioned” or less-thinking part of the public.

POLICE were called to Ringwood School this morning (Monday) as a small group of anti-Covid vaccination protesters forced their way onto its grounds.

The alarm was raised around 8.20am amid reports six people demonstrating against pupils being given the jab had turned up at the school in Parsonage Barn Lane. They gained entry via the reception area.

Twelve patrol cars were said to have been at the scene while officers dealt with the incident as both the Hampshire force and the school assured there was no danger to youngsters or staff.” [local newspaper report].

So no less than 12 police cars were sent to monitor a tiny and peaceful local civic protest involving only six individuals? No wonder the police are unable to deploy resources to deal with ordinary crime. Just as well that no-one made an “anti-Semitic” remark, or it might have been necessary to call for armed anti-terror police back-up…

Quite often now, it appears that this country has gone absolutely mad.

Historical views on history and monarchy

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-10404373/The-Queen-RIGHT-axe-Prince-Andrew-sake-monarchy-says-WILSON.html

Was reading the above article on the Royal Family and UK monarchy by scribbler A.N. Wilson.

Long ago now, I reviewed a book by A.N. Wilson on Amazon UK, where I was about 40th most popular reviewer (out of millions). Later, around 2012, the Jew-Zionist lobby had me barred from reviewing on Amazon UK (and on the separate American site…so much for “free speech” in the occupied USA…). All my reviews were then hidden from the public, and remain so.

One of the reviews effectively lost was the one about a book on British history in the 20th century, by A.N. Wilson. My view had been that his book was a really good read, but at the same time riddled with historical inaccuracies, absurd conclusions, and simple spelling mistakes. This article is similar in some respects.

Look at this:

“…we should not take the durability of the institution for granted.

At the end of World War I, when Russia, Germany, Austria and many other European nations were replacing their monarchs with forms of government in every way more tyrannical and bloody, George V, our king, once quietly remarked: ‘I’m going to have to work hard to keep my job.’

He and his wife, Queen Mary, did indeed work to develop the concept of constitutional monarchy.

Far from endangering parliamentary democracy, it strengthened it. With a monarch as head of state, there is continuity and stability — it is no accident we remained a democracy when countries without kings or emperors ended up with leaders such as Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini and Franco.”

Well, let’s see. “At the end of WW1...” etc: In 1917, the rule of Nikolai II in Russia was replaced by that of the Provisional Government under Prince Lvov and Alexander Kerensky. It was not “tyrannical” or “bloody“, but was chaotic and unable to rule. Indeed, one could argue that the previous years of Nikolai’s rule, at least since the 1905 uprising, had been at times both tyrannical and bloody, especially if the Russian participation in WW1 is placed on the scales.

True, the Bolshevik government, which replaced the Provisional government later in 1917, was certainly bloody and, in the lay sense, tyrannical, and that was so even under Lenin, certainly later yet under Stalin.

Germany after WW1 was not a tyranny. The Weimar Republic was decadent, badly-run, verged on disorder at times, and was quite illiberal towards those who, like Hitler, were German nationalists, but it cannot really be called either tyrannical or bloody. Neither was the government of Hitler, in its 6 years of relative peace (1933-1939). It was dictatorial; it was not tyrannical. There is a difference. As for “bloody”, not so, overall.

Austria did become a kind of dictatorship, but only after 1933, under Dollfuss and, subsequently, Schuschnigg, but for the preceding 14 years had been a constitutional democracy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Austrian_Republic.

What about Wilson’s contention that ” He [George V of England] and his wife, Queen Mary, did indeed work to develop the concept of constitutional monarchy.” True up to a point. Wilson’s phrasing is awkward. The “concept of constitutional monarchy” had been developing in England and the UK for centuries, certainly since the English Civil War and the century following (17th/18th centuries).

Moreover, the same process was happening across Europe; certainly that was so in the 19th Century. It was not confined to the UK by any means.

As for Italy, Mussolini was dictatorial, though not officially a dictator (though he presented himself as such). Some who were (thankfully) repressed under his rule (notably the Mafia and other criminals, and Stalinist Communists) would say (wrongly) that he was a tyrant, but Italy remained a constitutional monarchy right the way through Mussolini’s rule, a fact that Wilson either does not know or fails to mention.

An Allied invasion of Sicily began in July 1943, leading to the collapse of the Fascist regime and the fall of Mussolini on 25 July. Mussolini was deposed and arrested by order of King Victor Emmanuel III in co-operation with the majority of the members of the Grand Council of Fascism, which passed a motion of no confidence. On 8 September, Italy signed the Armistice of Cassibile, ending its war with the Allies.” [Wikipedia].

In fact, Italy only ceased to be a monarchy in 1946, following a mass referendum.

So Wilson seems once again to need either a history lesson or a lesson in how to express himself. Having said that, I certainly agree with most of his criticism, in the article, of Harry (“the Royal Cuck”), Meghan Markle (“the Royal Mulatta”), Andrew Windsor, and others, such as the horrible and entitled (mostly in both senses) moneygrubbing “younger members of the Royal Family”.

I believe that A.N. Wilson was once a regular guest of the Queen at table, at Windsor Castle, but was (sometime in the 1980s, or maybe a little later) cold-shouldered after he wrote a piece in the Evening Standard about what he had heard at dinner.

I see that I am not the only one to have noticed Wilson’s factual inaccuracies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._N._Wilson#Critiques_of_Wilson’s_work.

I stick with my view, held for nearly two years now, that much of the Covid madness has been a very-large-scale psychological experiment in mass conditioning, designed to result, down the line, in an almost robotic and very Pavlovian response to the orders of the System.

Remember the early/mid 2020 “social distancing”, with lines of shoppers obediently x-metres or feet away from each other, only moving forward on the orders of deadhead supermarket “marshals”? Then there has been the facemask nonsense, as noted in the tweet. Also, the almost-useless and often dangerous “vaccines” and “boosters”, and the equally-useless mass “testing” for “the virus”.

Somewhere not far down the line, there will be the microchipping of the population . Those refusing to be microchipped will be, pretty much, social outcasts, unable to travel internationally or even within the UK (or wherever), all but unable to access services, all but unable to buy food or car fuel (as cash is phased out). Already, I read, many under-24 people are accustomed to using cards for almost all purchases, and use cash as little as once or twice per month. They will be easily persuaded to be microchipped. The microchipping will come in “not with a bang but a whimper”, and few will see the dangers and implications; even fewer will resist.

We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children”— 14 words…

It may be, that not very far in the future, the societies of Western and Central Europe will fall into complete decadence, their economies ruined, their legal and political systems ineffective and scarcely operational. A kind of Dark Age may be coming. If so, what really matters is to be prepared to seed a new pan-European civilization and culture, which can eliminate evil and disorder, so that a better future, and far future, will be able to exist.

I posted the above film clip out of amusement, really. I (quite genuinely) wonder why idiots like that speaker, and her tiny and lumpenproletarian audience, waste time on demonstrations like that. Still, there it is.

A long time ago, in the 1980s, I was —very unusually— coming out of the Circle Line station at King’s Cross. It was a a summer afternoon. There was, just before the stairs leading to the street, a bank of public telephones. I happened to notice that there was a small black diary or notebook on the floor. I picked it up and looked at it, thinking that I might post it back to the owner, or hand it in to the police.

Said diary turned out to belong to someone at an address nearby, so I walked there. Why not? I was in no hurry, and I like to help people if I can.

I noticed that the appointments for the coming weeks were all this march, that demo, and feminist workshops etc. It was a slice of life straight out of a Private Eye parody, or the then “AgitProp” sections of magazines such as Time Out, or City Limits [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Out_(magazine); https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_Limits_(magazine)].

I soon arrived at the flat where the diary’s owner lived, 1930s social housing. I (dressed in a pinstripe suit, and sporting a silk tie) knocked at the door. A strange, rather red-faced and intense young woman opened the door, but only about 6 inches. I explained that I had found the diary and where. She looked very suspicious; taking the diary, she shut the door without a word of thanks! I suppose that when the (1980s version) of the “woke” revolution (was going to come), courtesy, or indeed simple politeness, and gratitude, would be unnecessary…

Perhaps the odd young woman thought that I was a member of MI5 or Special Branch who had stolen her diary to get intelligence, and/or was wanting to get to know her or even recruit her. Or did she imagine that I wanted to rape her (or whatever)? God knows. Stupid creature. As often said, “no good deed goes unpunished”…

Did the young woman use the public telephones to avoid any telephone tap on her own telephone? Or did she simply not have a telephone in the flat? Mobile telephones were effectively unknown then, of course.

I wonder where said young woman is now? Probably a member of the Labour Party (Corbyn faction), and/or a local Labour councillor, now aged 60+ and with decades of silly militancy behind her. Or did she fall by the wayside en route to the post-Marxist promised land, marry some accountant or solicitor, and acquire a suburban house, and a holiday home in some place unaffected by the collapse of white England? Who knows?

National Socialism has passed into history, but the essence of it, in a new form, will rise up to rule Europe.

I believe in public service broadcasting, but the BBC has not been that, in any serious way, for years, for many years.

I believe in the original dictum of Lord Reith: “inform, educate, and entertainin that order of priority.

The major strategic mistake the BBC made, at least 50 years ago, was to compete with ITV (and commercial radio) for “ratings”, i.e. cheap popularity. The whole point of having the licence fee (meaning a tax on owning a TV) was, or should have been, to create a TV and radio service which concentrated on relatively “high-minded” stuff. Instead of that, the BBC established Radio 1 and, on TV, dumbed down, first of all, BBC1 TV and then BBC2 TV.

The dumbing-down continued, particularly from the 1980s. In the 1990s and thereafter, the BBC television output gradually declined in quality, and the new efforts were generally poor. BBC Three television was markedly rubbish (it was eventually put online-only), though one bright spot was the new BBC Four, which is now (now that BBC 2 TV is so poor) the only decent BBC TV station, the only one with any intellectual pretension.

As for radio, the World Service was reduced from something really worthwhile in the 1970s and 1980s to very poor in terms of quality through the 1990s, and by 2010 to rock-bottom.

The process continues. On radio, it is noticeable that the dumbing-down continues; Radio 3 output is sometimes close to some of that on Radio 2 these days.

I therefore welcome the announcement that the BBC licence fee (tax) is going to be abolished. I welcome it on principle, and also because, these days, something like the BBC, a huge and bloated corporation run by and staffed by, largely, an in-group, almost all thinking the same way (and mostly the wrong way), is totally anachronistic.

Turn on your TV. How many channels are there? 100? More. Yes, mostly rubbish, but many not, or not completely. Do the few BBC ones really offer anything different from the rest? I say no. Ads? The BBC may not have paid advertising, but it advertises its own shows all the time, which is equally irritating.

Now we have the Internet as well. There is just no justification for subsidizing what the BBC, most of the time, now does.

At one time, almost every country in the world, even the tiniest, had its own “national airline” or “flagcarrier”. That was basically an outcome of international conditions that, by the 1980s, had already been superseded by new norms that better reflected reality. The BBC, as it now is, has no place of significance in the world, and no right to be subsidized by a punitive tax.

I also look forward, of course, to the overpaid BBC drones and “celebrities” having their rice-bowls taken away, but that is a secondary, though pleasant, thought.

Interesting, if true.

I have little doubt that a proper study would confirm a similar rate in the UK, maybe 50,000+.

Britain, where nuts are treated as serious protesters

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10395493/Hammer-wielding-activist-scales-BBCs-Broadcasting-House-starts-destroying-Eric-Gill-sculpture.html

This is what Britain has become; it has descended into a place where any nut with a hammer and a narrow view of history can destroy a statue, a painting, a mural, or some other artwork, while the politically-correct and hugely-ignorant police stand around doing nothing, and as other ignorant persons applaud the vandalism online or otherwise.

As for the nut himself in this case, some cigarette-smoking “chav” type, he apparently shouted out to passers-by, including women, who were telling him to stop vandalizing, that they were “paedos”. What can one say?

Eric Gill [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Gill] certainly was perverse, but so have been many other artists of note. Gill’s art is not 100% to my taste either, but that does not necessarily mean that it can just be destroyed by the first idiot that turns up with a hammer and a contrived grievance.

Society is built on order. There are worrying signs in the UK that disorder is slowly taking over, and I am not talking only about idiots vandalizing statues or artworks.

Upcoming Southend West by-election

It is not worthwhile blogging about the upcoming Southend West by-election in any great detail, because the Labour and Liberal Democrat parties are boycotting the event out of “respect” for the assassinated MP whose death triggered the by-election. That means that, as with the by-election at Batley and Spen held some years ago after the Jo Cox assassination, the voters of Southend will be denied the array of choice (however false) that they would usually have.

Not even Green Party and Reform UK (the latest Farage vehicle) will be standing candidates.

Wikipedia has opened a page about the by-election, which is set down for 3 February 2022: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Southend_West_by-election.

As can be seen on Wikipedia, a number of minor candidates are standing. Two of at least passing interest are Steve Laws (UKIP), well-known for his reportage tweeting about the continuing cross-Channel migration-invasion, and Jayda Fransen (standing as Independent, but formerly a member of two or three parties).

I have blogged about Jayda Fransen in the past: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2020/09/11/diary-blog-11-september-2020-including-a-few-notes-about-jayda-fransen-and-her-new-british-freedom-party/.

Southend West has been held by the Conservative Party since its creation in 1950, the Con vote peaking the following year at 69.1%.

The MP elected in 1950, 1951 and 1955 was the very wealthy Anglo-American, Henry “Chips” Channon, famous for his indiscreet diaries [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Channon]. His rather mediocre son, Paul Channon, “inherited” the seat and was elected in a by-election in 1959, holding the seat thereafter until 1992, when David Amess was elected on a vote-share of 38.8% (LibDems second on 33.1%). In every subsequent election, Amess’s vote never dipped below 46%.

In 2019, Amess was elected with a solid 59.2% of the vote (Labour second on 28.1%; LibDems third with 11.4%).

In the by-election, The Conservative Party candidate, one Anna Firth, a barrister and Sevenoaks District Council councillor [https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-firth-095271202/], has tried to reach the House of Commons on two previous occasions. Looks like it will be “third time lucky” for her.

I could not see Anna Firth’s name on the chambers’ website for the set with which Ms. Firth is supposedly connected (Hailsham Chambers), so it looks as though she is no longer there. The Daily Mail and Linked-In also mention her as CEO of an “e-learning” organization (some kind of taxpayer-funded “social enterprise”, it appears), so maybe she is no longer in active practice at the Bar at all: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10299379/Conservatives-select-candidate-Southend-West-election.html.

There is minor interest around this by-election, in seeing firstly what vote-share Ms. Firth will get, in the absence of any real competition; also, as to the number of protest votes going to UKIP’s Steve Laws and to Jayda Fransen. Steve Laws may do better than Ms. Fransen; we shall see.

[Update, 12 January 2023: Well, Anna Firth, the Conservative candidate [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Firth], won easily, as expected. In the absence of any serious opposition, her vote-share was 86.1%, almost up to a North Korean level. The turnout was a pathetic 24%. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Southend_West_by-election#Results].

Stupid idiotic puppet.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday when I saw the monkeyhouse on TV, and then Boris-idiot exiting to his car, in the open air, black muzzle-mask in place.

What goes around comes around..

She has a point. I agree with her. The very few MPs I have met in my life have mostly been pretty stupid; in fact they have all been.

Parliament, like the NHS, the Bar, the Church, Oxford and Cambridge universities (in fact, most universities), the trade unions, and much else in Britain, is running on empty.

Someone in public life who seems not to be a complete idiot. There must be some mistake…

It has taken the msm about 20 years to catch up with me, or to where I was.

I recently blogged that “Boris” would not survive beyond the summer of 2022. Looks like I should have written “Spring”…

Exactly. The same phenomenon, or a similar one, seen from 2017 to 2019 continues: many voters with nowhere to go, as shown in the graphic below.

If only there were a credible social-national party. It might have been able to really launch in the past two years of a headless Government and an equally-clueless Labour-label “Opposition”.

The German Reich and the Soviet Union fought and died, the Reich quickly in 1945, the Soviet Union slowly over decades. It was a fated and fateful encounter. There is today no reason, good or otherwise, for Europe, including Eastern Europe, to exhaust itself in terror and bloodshed.

Very picturesque, even if the music (by Shostakovitch) added for the amateur YouTube video is anachronistic (I think that the film itself is from the famous 1960s War and Peace).

I prefer the (Khatchaturian) music in the video below:

It would be a fatal error to imagine that that could not happen. All serious wargames since 1960 that postulated use of tactical nuclear weapons have ended up with strategic nuclear weapons being used.

What would that mean in the UK? First, sudden and deadly Spetsnaz attacks by lethal special forces units on ground targets in this country— early-warning stations, ports, air bases, transport infrastructure, Internet infrastructure, and on heads of state and government. Then nuclear attacks on the same, if still in one piece.

Russia is about 72x the area of the UK. Nuclear attacks on Russia by NATO (mainly USA) would cause undreamt-of destruction, but Russia would survive, and rebuild, even if it took a hundred years. Were the UK to be attacked with nuclear weapons, almost all of the country would be flattened. Britain might not survive in any recognizable form.

The whole idea of Britain joining the Americans in war with Russia is mad. Why do it? So that Jew oligarchs can continue to exploit Ukraine? So that Ukraine, which prior to 1991 was never an independent state, can keep its present borders, which contain —especially in the East— large numbers of Russians and pro-Russians? So that the New World Order can expand its power?

Britain, disastrously, went to war in 1914 and then in 1939, both times for no good reason. Not again, I hope.

Steve Laws is standing in the Southend West by-election on 3 February 2022. I would normally not recommend a vote for UKIP, but in the absence of any real social-national candidate, Laws deserves at least a protest vote, if anyone there is going to vote at all.

On this day a year ago

If I say so myself, another blog post that has worn very well indeed.

From 2019

I see that the blog post about the Jew-Zionists plotting in the Labour Party, below, from almost three years ago, has had a few hits. Having just reread it, I think that it, also, has stood the test of time rather well: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/07/11/9853/.

I have still not worked out why almost all Jews, at least on Twitter, are fanatically pro-lockdowns, the “vaccines”, and pro the facemask nonsense (almost all facemasks are useless, as can be seen easily in cold temperatures, where the vapour is seen escaping as people breathe; “Covid” is water-borne…).

No doubt the Jews concerned would claim that they hold those views because they are terribly intelligent and/or educated, but my experience of them as a group leads me to think not…

A puzzle.

Basically, a billion pounds a year wasted on a horde of uninvited, useless, often hostile interlopers and invaders. While British people freeze in doorways, sleep in cars, and otherwise struggle.

The “refugees welcome” dimwits, and moneygrubbing cheats such as expenses fraudster “lord” Dubs (a Jew who entered the UK just before WW2). should be placed before a people’s court.

“Call no man happy until he is dead”

Nearly 4 years ago, I posted a blog article with the above title. In it, I examined, inter alia and I hope humorously, the post-school life-courses of a few people I knew as a teenager. https://ianrobertmillard.org/2018/07/02/call-no-man-happy-until-he-is-dead/

Now, the fates of a few other people I knew, but this time I knew them between the ages of 5-10. Of the three people noted, two are already dead, despite having been my contemporaries. A reminder that we must all do what we can for the race and the world during our short incarnations.

The first is Dominic Beer, who when I knew him, aged 5-7, was a small child of a like age, who lived across a wide road from my own home in Caversham Heights, now and even then a suburb of Reading, situated on high ground across the Thames, a few miles from the town itself and on the border of Oxfordshire.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caversham_Heights].

Dominic was a dark-haired, quick-witted, clever child, quite friendly, who seemed older than his years. As I recall, his mother was smallish and dark-haired too; I do not recall his father (maybe I never saw him), though I vaguely recall that Dominic had a (younger?) sister.

Not sure why, but I got the impression when visiting his home, if I recall aright (this was around 1961-62, i.e. 60 years ago), that there was something different, perhaps foreign, about Dominic and his family. I now know that Beer can be German or Jewish, but I would not have known that then.

I knew no Jews, and the only German I had ever encountered, outside the realms of comic books and war films on black and white TV, or watching my All Our Yesterdays [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Our_Yesterdays_(TV_series)] with my grandparents (my grandfather having been both at Dunkirk and in Burma during WW2), was my mother’s German part-time au pair, Ilka, a kind, bespectacled girl of about 18, who really worked for (and lived with) another family in the neighbourhood, but with whom she did not get on well; Ilka therefore split her time.

I still remember that, when she returned to Germany, Ilka gave my brothers and me little wash-bags with items such as coloured soap in the shape of a puppy-dog. Very German, I suppose. A nice girl. She must be, if still alive, about 78 now.

Be that as it may, I lost touch with Dominic Beer (despite the physical proximity of our homes) after his parents moved him from Caversham Primary School (a couple of miles away) to a private prep school called Hemdean House (not very far, maybe a half-mile, from our homes). I think that, before that, when still aged about 5, we had shared, with a couple of other children, rides to and from school in an ancient green car known as “Mr. Shute’s taxi”. Old Mr. Shute had a garage (I think no fuel, and mainly repairs done) some distance away, but still within the area.

Dominic apparently went on to the well-known school, Leighton Park, a Quaker establishment in Reading, the alumni of which have included Michael Foot (one-time Labour Party leader), Richard Rodney Bennett (composer), David Lean (film director), and Nathaniel Parker (actor), among many others.

Whatever his origins, Dominic was apparently “converted” to active Christianity while a student [Wadham, Oxford]. I saw this:

Dominic went to Wadham College, Oxford in 1975 to study German and History, but even then was considering medicine. Discovering that having no science A-levels did not necessarily disbar him, he started 1st MB at Guys in 1978, and graduated in 1984. He developed an interest in psychiatry and began a training rotation at Guys, interrupting this with Wellcome Foundation support to gain his MD in the history of psychiatry.

In 1994 he was appointed consultant at Bexley Hospital, Kent, for a locked 15-bedded ‘challenging behaviour’ ward, and shocked by the lack of purpose and definition, the bad conditions, and the siege mentality, he and colleagues researched psychiatric intensive care units nationally. This led to founding the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU) and to co-editing the first textbook in the field, Psychiatric Intensive Care.

As his career progressed until early retirement on medical grounds in 2011, he held many teaching, lecturing and examining posts within London University; published some 70 research papers; refereed for journals; took on more management and fund-raising responsibilities; and was recognised as a leader who modelled his concern that patients requiring psychiatric intensive care should be treated in ‘a decent and concerned way’. That same colleague described his light touch in tricky situations (‘extraordinary legerdemain’), his calming presence, and his being always unflappable. They still ask sometimes ‘What would Dominic do?’ “[See also: https://www.cmf.org.uk/resources/publications/content/?context=article&id=26079].

So when, in the mid/late 1970s, I was struggling with political matters and theory, while also working in low-level occupations, or travelling and having misadventures in places like Rhodesia, Dominic was a medical student. Was my life “the road less travelled”?

I saw this, too:

Dr Dominic Beer was a consultant psychiatrist with Oxleas Mental Health Trust for many years. He was a PICU and challenging behaviour expert but also a cricketer, historian, artist and family man. He died in April 2013 from cancer and is survived by his loving wife and four children, parents, sister, friends, innumerable clinicians and patients whose lives he touched with his counsel and wisdom.” [http://www.beerharrismemorialtrust.org/dominic.htm].

Dominic Beer was also, in later life, a noted painter.

Dominic died, it seems, in 2013, from cancer.

[Addendum, 18 January 2022: just saw this Daily Telegraph obit., but it is behind a paywall, and I refuse to pay, so have not read it: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/10186242/Dominic-Beer.html].

Another child I knew up to the age of 9 or 10 was one Michael Streather, who was like a 50-year old professor at the age of 8! He later attended Christ’s Hospital and then, after degrees at Bristol, York, and City University in London, became another one involved with mental health, though as strategic analyst of health services, his last title being “Head of Intelligence (Mental Health)”, based at Cambridge, where it seems that he was also an active member of the Labour Party:

I am pretty sure that he is the one wearing sunglasses in the above tweet photos.

Michael Streather died, it seems, in 2019, at age 62 or so.

A third contemporary, Mark Burgess, is still living, and thriving; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Burgess_(children%27s_author).

Like Michael Streather, a Christ’s Hospital scholar, and another child who always struck me as middle-aged despite being only 8 or so. I remember him as someone who had a serious problem with his legs (he used crutches) at age (?) 7 or 8. A serious child, by my recollection.

His Wikipedia entry does not, oddly, mention either the crutches or his home in Caversham Heights from when he was aged 7 or 8 until at least the age of 14 (in 1970, when I last met him at his parents’ large but seemingly slightly gloomy —just an impression from long ago— house, walking distance from my own, after my family returned from Australia).

It seems that Mark Burgess has written and illustrated 30 books and illustrated nearly 40 others as well. Quite an achievement.

Interesting, to track people through life.

I have read, over decades, enormous quantities from Americans about how their supposed Constitutional right to bear arms guarantees their liberty etc. How is that working out? Not well, I think. As Hitler said, “it’s not the weapon, it’s the man behind it [that matters].”
