@mypawisstsuck. On what hard, experimental scientific basis do you make the assertion that 'Face masks help stop the spread of the virus.' https://t.co/YGhf20IEvR
Yes. They work to hugely increase mental health issues, suicides, poverty, unemployment, business closures, tyranny, destroying social relations & "collateral" deaths.
Or did you mean evidence that quarantining millions of healthy people saves lives? No, there is none for that.
Ah, it is you again Credulous, I mean @credula11. One day you will grasp that science works by the experimental objective testing of claims. I have always said there is no good evidence for compulsory muzzles. The Danish study underlines that absence. https://t.co/c6p2WiesI6
Indeed @theblogmire, 'Covidian' is a good name for our new age of unknowing and passionate turning away from hard knowledge , scepticism and enlightenment. 500 years of searching for truth end in a squalid, ignorant panic. https://t.co/lirGtmKG1V
See what you mean @natty_red, but the truth is that 1,600 people on average die in the the UK every day. Sad as this is for those affected, it is normal. What we have here is a problem of attribution. https://t.co/H1z2twARcY
God…first of all, British people all but genuflected to “the man in the white coat”; now they accept as gospel what “Dr. Hilary”, a TV talking head, says…
What I object to (mainly) is not black people being shown, as such, but mixed couples (commonly, black man with white woman) and “their” mixed-race children. I stand for a decent future for British, European and other people. The multikulti melting pot would destroy that. Therefore I oppose it.
All the same, fair’s fair. Priti Patel is one of life’s “winners”; after all, 99.99% of Indian women from East Africa, like her and yet unlike her, end up serving behind the counter of a grocery story somewhere like Kampala or Entebbe…
James Cleverly’s defence of Priti Patel is that civil servants don’t work hard enough. Smearing staff to excuse bullying is pretty low.
James Cleverly, a personification of much that is wrong with the political system in the UK: a half-caste with a “degree” in “Hospitality Management” from some degree mill. I was listening to Radio 4 in the early evening. There was a report about the delay to remedial work ordered to hundreds of tower blocks etc, ordered by reason of fire hazard after the Grenfell fire.
What struck me (apart from the typically-slow government reaction and equally typical maladministration) was amazement at how councils and private contractors were ever allowed to install cladding which, in one case mentioned, is said to be as flammable “as petrol“, leading to a necessity to maintain a 24/7 firewatch on that building (in which people are still actually living!). I thought that this country had building regulations and fire regulations…
Yesterday, we heard that the NHS has spent hundreds of millions of pounds buying medical protective equipment via a Spanish “go-between” (whose commissions added up to at least £20M!) and a jeweller based in Florida. What the hell is going on?
This person has immensely damaged Britain. His long history of personal gain at huge cost to the country is catastrophic. Good riddance you rat. #DominicCummningspic.twitter.com/4ve03qw1KP

What has been so extraordinary about the “resistible rise” of Cummings is that (ref. my blog posts about him) he actually has no track record of measurable achievement at all. Left university with a so-so degree, somehow got into Russian business (but nothing solid), tried to set up an airline in the 1990s using bits of decrepit Soviet property (the airline made one flight only). Then Cummings gets a job with the Conservative Party and somehow acquires a reputation for maverick brilliance. A mirage. In the old Soviet joke, “we hear that you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs. Well, we see the eggshells, but where’s the breakfast?”
I always believe in the Biblical injunction to “judge the tree by its fruits”. I judge an ideology by its effects and by the behaviour of its adherents. I judge a government by its acts, omissions and achievements. Look at the chaos of the present government, in every way!
Cummings is not entirely to blame for the present chaos, which is soon going to get worse, with mismanaged Brexit about to come down the line. Boris-idiot, posing as Prime Minister, is the main culprit. Others, such as Johnson’s “ho”, are mere extras in the drama, but have, in the absence of proper government, taken on the role of active players.
In fact, the “eminence” of Cummings is symptomatic of Britain at the present time. It is a situation that has developed over the past decade or so. The “not what you know but who you know” scenario. We have seen the emergence of the no-salary “intern”, able to work unpaid for a year or more (and so create the foundation for a career) because the affluent parents or a family trust pay for everything. We have seen the unworthy but well-connected, the privileged trustafarians etc, become MPs, ministers, Cabinet ministers, even Prime Ministers and members of the House of Lords. A few names? David Cameron-Levita, Ed Vaizey, Dido Harding.
In fact, the above is the flip-side of the likewise prevalent “identity” appointments: persons appointed to positions in government and/or as (very well-paid) TV talking heads because they are black, brown, female etc.
The exit of Dominic Cummings would be a good start. But without the exit of most of the Cabinet and, ideally, Boris Johnson too, I struggle to imagine a kind and compassionate country emerging.#Newsnight

The quality for which Boris Johnson will be remembered above all else is his unstinting ability to lie. A quality that should have excluded him from any role in public life, let alone that of Prime Minister.#Newsnight

I agree with that, but it has to be confined to bona fide and truly British citizens as recipients to be sustainable.
No.10 says the events of the past couple of days haven't changed their negotiating strategy. Maybe. But how is the site of the Brexiteers carrying their boxes up Downing Street going to convince anyone "Boris is going to dig in for hard Brexit here".
The succinct reply sums up my own cynical view: Boris-idiot…
Can you imagine how shallow that seems? Reinvent as in “pretend to be something else” or just rely on Fleet Street to create a different cartoon character?
Well, this week I again beat John Rentoul, I having scored 7/10 as against his 6/10; my score would have been 8/10, but the name of the German theologian of Question 7, though on the tip of my mental tongue, escapes me for the moment. In case anyone is interested, the other questions I cannot answer are numbers 2 and 9.
Memory is a strange thing. I wonder how much research is done into it.
Seeking a ruling from @johnrentoul on 'reset'. Only five letters and has a meaning of sorts. But it's suddenly in every headline, book titles, intros to news stories. I'm already sick of it but would appreciate opinion of the arbiter #Words
BRINO (Brexit In Name Only) was always the most likely option for the international conspiracy.
Trump
“Don’t get mad; get even” [American saying]
Trump should extend Presidential pardon to all social-national and allied prisoners held in U.S. Federal prisons. He should proclaim his intention as soon as possible, and pardon as many prisoners as he can while he can. It would be a good way of sticking it to the “antifa” swine.
“British” Christmas TV ads
I see growing discontent at the race-mixing propaganda posing as “just ordinary TV ads”. Christmas ads are just part of it. According to latest statistics, about 80% of the UK population still identify as “White British” and actual “blacks” (not including recent mixed-race) are supposedly “only” somewhere around 3%. Yet almost every TV ad now contains mainly blacks, or a mixed couple and “their” mixed-race children.
Sacked temporary teacher, serial grifter, “antifa” cheerleader (from a safe distance) and would-be (self-describing) “historian” and “journalist” Mike Stuchbery supports the propaganda:
Here's what I don't understand. There are BAME Britons. SE Asian Britons. Loads of them. What's wrong with putting them in a Christmas ad? The cheer of contrarians must be pretty bloody fragile if a PoC depicting celebrating Christmas annoys them. https://t.co/ofgGeahgLr
This is not mere happenstance. It is a deliberate and planned campaign. I have blogged about it in the past and it is getting worse. Google “Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan” for more. Alternatively, “the Great Replacement” and/or “White Genocide”.
I wondered whether the police would at some point take an interest in the GoFundMe appeal set up for Stuchbery by his associate “@antifashwitch”, Roanna Carleton Taylor of Derbyshire (it gathered in nearly £12,000 from gullible people who wanted Stuchbery to sue Tommy Robinson using it, but there never was a case brought). I now see that the Twitter tweets, going back years, of both “@antifashwitch” and her misnamed organization “@Resisting_Hate_”, have almost all been deleted.
I have no idea whether the two facts are connected, or whether she has been trying to delete potential evidence of fraud, but it has caught my attention today.
I believe that “antifashwitch” has a rather “dodgy” background generally. Her personal connections have, if the Internet is to be believed, been investigated by the police in the past, and not just for political matters.
Incidentally, the Pakistani named in the GoFundMe appeal is or was, supposedly, the solicitor (a one-man-band “firm”) who was going to act for Stuchbery. All very odd.
Do you have a source for that please @jennyrickson? I think we are only just beginning to grasp the damage done to 'our' NHS by the government which claimed to be saving it. Those who clapped for carers little knew what they *were* clapping for. https://t.co/qHoJjnGPaB
Keep it in proportion. A fascinating and thought-provoking ebsite which, I suspect, has never been studied in Downing Street , in Hancock HQ, or by @piersmorgan. https://t.co/fdusp3eULW
Not so @memphidos1. I clearly gave the number of 'infections' and also the (very small) share of them which are in fact serious. The worldometer site which I used as source does not give hospitalisation figures, or if it does I cannot locate them https://t.co/Cz5AqDhs9xhttps://t.co/77sa6gkeJA
1/2 I keep seeing shutdown zealots claiming that Sweden is in some sort of crisis. Here are the latest figures on Covid from Sweden 148,861 Currently 'Infected' Patients: 148,861 148,724 (100%) in Mild Condition 137 (0%) Serious or Critical Source https://t.co/Cz5AqDhs9x
Quite. As for the UK, the rural/suburban area of coastal Southern England where I live has 180,000 inhabitants within the District Council area. In the last week, 3 (three) deaths “from” (or “with“?) “the virus” have been notified. One death for every 60,000 people! Statistical zero. Yet for this, the population has been forced to comply with the facemask nonsense, shops and pubs and restaurants (a large part of the local economy) have been shut, and any medical services from GPs are telephone-consultation only.
Was that connected with “antifashwitch” too? I have no idea.
Non-white Christmas TV ads
Further to my comments earlier in today’s blog, I received this comment from a reader:
“I’ve noticed that the race mixing Christmas ads don’t mind showing an idealised England via small rural villages complete with a church in the centre, the catch is they don’t allow us to see a white family living there, it has to be mixed.
The problem is though, who do these multinationals think this nostalgia and yearning for an older England actually caters to? Is it the Indian wife in the ad? or the inevitable black husband of the white woman in another ad?
On the one hand they pander to the cultural identity of an ethnic group, while at the same time endorsing the erasure of that ethnic group via the mixing in the ads.
Note once again that the nature of the multinational is essentially parasitic, those images of England aren’t of them…” [a reader of this blog].
Well said, Blog Reader…If it were the other way around, it would be called “cultural appropriation” and so “wrong” (because white European people are always wrong…). Such TV ads (propaganda masquerading as ads…) are much more an “appropriation” (if not an expropriation!) than, say, The Black and White Minstrel Show etc, who were copying a longstanding American and European tradition of “blacking up”.
When are the hard-left and hard-right going to realise it isn't the number of people at your rallies that matter, but the number of people who actually vote for you.
That’s assuming that you are going down the Parliamentary road…
Hilarious. Johnson is the worst PM ever. Nothing is ever going to change that. He is, as a person, a hollow cardboard charlatan and should make room for an adult.
After the destruction of free speech generally, in broadcasting, on social media, on YouTube, on other video sites, what’s next? Blogging sites such as WordPress, unless they fight back.
Once all free speech is destroyed, there will be only one way to fight back…
The Celts believed that night preceded day, thus all four annual festivals began at sunset on the evening before. There is no doubt that that this festival was the most important of the four Celtic Festivals.
Samhain was a crucial time of year, loaded with symbolic significance for the pre-Christian Irish. As they watched the the sun descend into the western skies, the symbolic inference was that of a descent into the Otherworld.
This marked the thinning of the veil, as those within the Otherworld were free to roam the Earth. The Sidhe, (fairies as we know them, for we know so little of them) have the power of shapeshifting are deemed able to walk among us, unknown and unrecognisable to mortals.
The website of Bealtaine Cottage shows what a transformation is possible in a fairly dull and almost derelict area: https://bealtainecottage.com/before-permaculture/. That link is well worth clicking on, to see the “before and after” photographs.
The same could be said of Findhorn.
When I had a Twitter account, I occasionally interacted with the Bealtaine Cottage account, until a couple of malicious Jews trolled that other account, saying that the lady operating it should not be talking to a “neonazi” (after which she, rather foolishly, blocked me). “They” ruin everything; it is what they do…
The Internet holds out the promise of connection for isolated communities and individuals, commercial possibilities, help and advice etc. In a general societal collapse, such communities and individals could be the key to recovery, especially if the Internet continues. It was originally developed with that in mind: survival (after a nuclear war). What would happen now, I do not know.
Seems the UK is one of the least generous states in Western Europe. What a surprise…

Yet that talking head presenter and others (eg Peter Hitchens) are unwilling to make the leap from thinking that this whole “virus” disaster is a result of governmental incompetence, to thinking that there is a supranational agenda behind it.
Google these: The Great Reset, The Great Replacement, the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan, NWO, ZOG etc.
Incidentally, Brexit, as I suspected would happen, is going to be, at least mainly, Brexit In Name Only [“BRINO”]. Maybe 90% EU nonsense continuing, but under UK rather than EU banners.
Lockdown (shutdown)
[Boris-idiot, not very long ago…]
I suppose that, when we hear or read about historical events such as the 1930s and 1940s Soviet purges, or the hunt for heretics by the Roman Catholic Church in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance, we wonder “whatever can have possessed them?“, and perhaps we smugly conclude that it was a form of mass hysteria that could never afflict us. Well, think again…
Here we are in the UK, keeping (most people) to a ridiculous “Rule of Six”, something which has really no scientific basis, and was laid down (and the term itself coined) by the part-Jew public entertainer turned ridiculous “Prime Minister”; Boris-idiot.
“We” (most of the public) have been frightened out of “our” collective skin by a virus not infecting most people, and which kills about 1% of those who are infected in the UK. It has killed one individual person out of every 8,000 (!) on the Earth. Not one in eight, not one in 800, but one in 8,000!
“We” (most of the public) are wearing (being forced to wear) facemasks in shops, supermarkets, on trains (where a study has shown the chance of being infected without a facemask is only 11,000:1 (and so the chance of being infected on a train and then dying is about one in a million…). It’s mad.
Why are “we” complying with the above and other crazy “measures”? Well, partly because “we” (most people?) believe that “we” are both in danger of infection, and also that facemasks etc help to prevent that infection (which they do not, or only peripherally).
Then there is the fact that the “rules” are at least notionally “the law”, and most British people are still law-abiding most of the time. In fact, those “rules” may be legally invalid, but that is above most people’s heads, and so “caviar to the general”). Most of the public just take them as being prima facie valid.
For those not sufficiently intimidated, there is the toytown police with which to contend, brandishing their now-huge fines.
Finally, there is the combined effect of social pressure from the brainwashed many, and the guilt propaganda (“if you fail to wear a mask, you are careless about the lives and health of others, and are a kind of murderer or terrorist“).
The result of all that is huge pressure to conform, which is what this is all about, behind the scenes. Part of The Great Reset (openly admitted by the World Economic Forum etc).
You hear the conspiracy theories, about Agenda 21, and the 'Great Reset,' and you think: 'Pah! What a load of rubbish.' Then the WEF tweets this… https://t.co/MQ18qSUe6v
There is a direct financial link between Klaus Schwab's WEF (the great reset, 4th industrial revolution, etc.) and the creators of the PCR method that is now enabling this reset by faking an economy destroying pandemic.
The next step? Probably, long-term or permanent “isolation” (incarceration) of, not only “the sick” (including the vast majority of infectees who are asymptomatic), but also the dissidents, those opposed to migration-invasion, those opposed to the Jew-Zionist lobby etc…
Sadly it would seem there’s nothing we can do to stop the draconian measures. They are carrying on regardless of protests, comments, evidence, etc. Looks like the future is looking very bleak. WEF document The Great Reset is taking place imminently.
Idiot deadhead MP thinks (as many do) that Sweden is a strange land where people live isolated lives, probably in remote log cabins. In fact, most Swedes live in cities, towns, suburbs. Just like the UK…
We have read Schwab’s book "COVID-19: The Great Reset", hence we know perfectly well what you are up to. Don't try to downplay it now. We are awake, we will resist, and we will win.
Why ? C19 Is NOT ABOUT DISEASE ITS ABOUT GLOBAL CONTROL You hear WEF IMF BIS The Great Reset Digital World Currency To Control The World THEY NEED TO CONTROL THE PEOPLE To Live You Need to Buy You use currency to Buy THEIR PLAN is HEREhttps://t.co/6A3TF99dhUhttps://t.co/vi7TqC6ZSG
Proof positive here that the political class is working fully in sync with Schwab's WEF Great Reset/Fourth Industrial Revolution. They are all in on using the *covid crisis* to justify the Great Reset. This is what is really behind the lockdownshttps://t.co/PxdJjYAULj
No, because the real behind the scenes motive of lockdown is The Great Reset led by Davos, WEF & Blair Institute (with its embedded teams in EVERY government ‘to help with covid& political&economic fallout from covid’. We’re being manipulated by very dangerous anti democratic ppl
The virus is just a cover (a trojan horse) to bring about the great reset. The controlled collapse of the economy to reset it. It's happening worldwide (lockstep).Take a look at WEF website. It's all there. #agenda21#agenda30
What is the plan of the international conspiracy (or “consensus”)?
First of all, the destruction of Europe as the leading population in the world. There are several ways in which the international conspiracy is plotting that.
First of all, by encouraging migration-invasion by blacks, browns and “yellows” (mainly Chinese).
Secondly, by making Europeans a minority in their own lands. This has several aspects. Firstly, as above: migration-invasion. Secondly, by births to non-Europeans but in Europe; thirdly, the propaganda which puts white Northern Europeans down in terms of history, culture, ability etc. You name it. The “Black Lives Matter” nonsense, the attack on our history (statues, heroic tales, great personalities etc).
It would also include the fact that the actual “black” population of the UK is only about 3% or 4%, and the whole black/brown/other non-European population no more than 20%, yet pretty much every TV ad now has blacks and/or mixed race individuals in it, not infrequently a white/black couple (usually a white woman with a black “husband” or “boyfriend”). That also applies to the popular “soaps” such as Emmerdale, and even the period dramas set in the almost entirely white England of 1940, 1950 or 1960 or so: Inspector George Gently, Grantchester etc. “...and is there still honey for tea?“
Propaganda. It is noticed by many, though I think more by those who are older, maybe wiser and/or who actually remember what England/UK used to be like before the System “agenda” picked up the pace (to pick a year, before 1989, which was the last 33-year-cycle year. The next one is 2022…).
2022, the next really significant agenda-setting year.
Thirdly, the international conspiracy wants to marginalize Europe by the above methods, and then by reducing Europe to a vassal of NWO/ZOG, placing North America and China/Far East in the forefront.
My solution to that attack of Evil is, firstly, for the UK and all Europe to join forces with Russia and the Russian people; secondly, to remove non-Europeans (as large populations) from Europe; three, remove those who constitute a Trojan Horse in the UK and Europe; four, eliminate the decadence in culture and the msm.
BBC Radio 4 PM
Happened to hear the System current affairs show, PM, yesterday. They had on Professor Ferguson, he of the “800,000 will die in the UK by the Summer“, he of or formerly of “SAGE” (i.e. DUMB— Department Under Matt and Boris), he who broke his own “rule” when he allowed his married “ho” visit him three times during “lockdown” in the Spring.
Incredibly, PM did not tax him on his hypocrisy, neither, moe importantly, did the interviewer question Ferguson about his many disastrous mis-predictions, going back years, to the foot-and-mouth disaster of 2001. He was treated very respectfully, as an “expert”…It’s sick. Pure propaganda.

Over past 2 years…I’ve posted info on The Great Reset. It started with the EATLancet World Transformative diet “roll out” in January 2019. The WEF, Davos, EATLancet, certain global mega-corporations & a few elite think tanks are behind The Great Reset. https://t.co/43mNxdBWgA

"Back in March, [..] Parliament vastly increased the Government’s freedom to spend what it liked. The old limit, for emergency spending, was increased from a mere £11billion to almost £270billion a year." https://t.co/d0hPEWeXuv
“There was once a famous Chinese executioner so skilful with his razor-edged sword that crowds would pay to watch him behead criminals.
One day he came to a small provincial town where the authorities had given him a large fee to do away with a notorious killer.
He entered the arena and made several elegant and delicate passes with his weapon.
The condemned man sat gloomily before him, looking unimpressed with all this fuss. ‘Just get on with it!’ he growled.
The executioner bowed politely, smiled and said softly: ‘Kindly nod, please.’ The murderer did so and his head, already parted from his body by a stroke of incredible swiftness, tumbled from his shoulders.
I think we in this country are like that condemned man. A terrible thing has been done to us but we have not yet realised it.” [Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday].
“In a lecture of astonishing power and force last week, the former Supreme Court judge, Lord Sumption, revealed in sad detail what has happened to our country in the name of Covid.
I have placed a copy of it and a recording on the Peter Hitchens blog and I strongly advise you to read and watch it.
It says that Parliament has been elbowed aside by Ministers who rule by decree.
Now, Jonathan Sumption is not just a brilliant lawyer. He is also a distinguished historian.
Last year he gave the BBC’s Reith Lectures, and they were the best for many years. If he has any politics I have no idea what they are, but he uses language with immense care.
If he says this ‘has been the most significant interference with personal freedom in the history of our country. We have never sought to do such a thing before, even in wartime and even when faced with health crises far more serious than this one’, then you may be sure that this is so.
When he says ‘Ministers are accountable to no one, except once in five years at General Elections’, you may be sure that this is true. This a complete breach with centuries of law and tradition, and who can say where it might end?
When he points out that laws, backed by tyrannical, ruinous fines, are now made at televised press conferences and enforced by bluff by police forces operating far beyond their authority, then it is happening.
He accuses the Government of showing ‘a cavalier disregard for the limits of their legal powers’. This, he says, is how freedom dies.
And behind it lies an astonishing, previously unnoticed seizure of economic power, which has made the entire Covid panic possible.
I cannot say where or how this will end. It is my own growing belief that Johnson and Hancock do not understand what they are doing.” [Peter Hitchens, in The Mail on Sunday].
Peter Hitchens does not specifically implicate Common Purpose [motto: Leading Beyond Authority]. Those termites must eventually be dealt with.
Also, just because part-Jew public entertainer Johnson and Indian “clever boy” Sunak do not understand what is happening, it does not mean that others, pulling the strings, do not understand…
“The oddest thing about the Panicdemic is that nobody would know it existed if the Government and its mouthpiece the BBC did not constantly seek to terrify us into a state of servile fear.”
Very true.
If you read Hitchens’ article extracted above, do not fail to notice that the Mail refuses to allow readers’ comments. Obviously afraid that “Coudenhove-Kalergi”, “The Great Reset”, “NWO/ZOG” etc will be mentioned.

From where did this “Second Wave” arise? Not China. “The virus” is in abeyance there. If it exists at all, it has come from the British population that has been “locked down” for half a year. Or has the “new” wave been released deliberately? We do not know.

Thing is, they don't care. What defines these people – #brexshitters, #WeWillNotComply, anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers, ect ect – is that they're haters.
There's no reason to suspect that they don't also hate their own relatives (they won't have friends, obvs).

The smug certainty and judgmental little-mindedness oozes out of the tweet. Remain, climate change zealot, etc etc. No doubt believes that “gas chambers” existed. He lives in Cambridge. Oh, and he’s LibDem. He ticks all the boxes…
That is more or less my view. To me, “Tommy Robinson”, pro-Israel etc, is “controlled opposition”, just like Breitbart, Katie Hopkins, UKIP, Brexit Party etc, Prison Planet Watson, all the “alt-Right” wastes of space. However, what happened today was a manifestation of the toytown police state that is slowly becoming a real police state.
“Police cite Coronavirus restrictions“… Well, there we are. There it is. People who said, 7 months ago, that the “virus” “rules” would be misused for political purposes have been proven completely right…
The tweet below made me laugh:

Blasts from the past
I happened to see the Twitter account of airhead ex-Labour MP and (incredibly) minister, Caroline Flint. “Shallow” would be too kind a judgment. That led me to the tweets of another Blairite “Labour” ex-MP, Gloria del Piero. She managed to fall below even the Caroline Flint standard. Incredible. Both “Labour Friends of Israel” members.
Flint was also a noted expenses cheat and freeloader. She made millions out of being an MP for 22 years, not least by having the taxpayers buy her a second home (a flat in Victoria, Central London) via the MP expenses system. She also “employed” (also via expenses) her own husband, and claimed for anything and everything.
Corbyn was not the one who —mainly— destroyed Labour, but harpies of the above sort (Jacqui Smith, expenses fraudster, was another).
Actually, I had forgotten that the above two even existed. Happy days.
Heard on Radio 4 News this morning: “…before the festive period“. Before the what?! The...”festive period“?! No no no. Not “the festive period”, not “Hanukkah”, not “Kwanza”, not “Happy Holidays”. Christmas. That’s what you meant to say. Christmas.
Jewish influence. I noticed the same when I lived in New Jersey, 30 years ago.

I was just criticised for not giving enough prominence to the issue of the disastrous virus panic. This seems to me to be misplaced. Here, from 14 March, is my first major article (first of perhaps 30, plus many broadcasts etc) warning against that panic: https://t.co/zhmgLLbMX5
No, @ravinderbindra, I have met these people. Politicians are competent at nothing except ambition and outwitting their rivals, and they are driven largely by vanity. Few know anything, feel curiosity or have any experience of the world. https://t.co/bsOBLSwixB
'Panic hardens into habit. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in 2120, your great-great-grandchildren are still being compelled to wear face coverings, tracked and traced wherever they go and kept 7ft apart at all times, all over the world.' https://t.co/SrNfF4zsz5
I doubt that, but only because the System drones will soon be little more than fertilizer for the fields of tomorrow.
'Sir David Hare seems not to have noticed anything since the 1980s. He no longer knows how politicians dress, speak and act. He has even less idea of what newspapers are like' https://t.co/SrNfF4zsz5
'Johnson, the man who ruined Britain, continues to stamp across the landscape like a mad giant, squashing small businesses, obliterating jobs and then flinging funny money at the victims as if that could bring back what they have lost for ever.' https://t.co/SrNfF4zsz5
' The crisis which Johnson claims to be dealing with exists only in twisted statistics and shameless propaganda. Those of us who have tried using facts and reason to change his mind are more or less in despair. ' https://t.co/SrNfF4zsz5
'The funny money is visibly running out. Increasingly, I fear that anger is the only force that will bring this misery to an end. I hope not, for that will bring new miseries. Can nobody reach him, while there is still time?' https://t.co/SrNfF4zsz5
Saw something that sparked memories. In 2002, having taken a lease of a large country house on the Cornwall-Devon border and, a month or so later having joined provincial barristers’ chambers in Exeter, I was asked to sit as a “Lord Justice of Appeal” at a moot (a mock trial), held in the ancient Guildhall in the main street of Exeter.
My fellow “Lords Justices of Appeal” were a Professor Tettenborn from Exeter University (now at Swansea University and an influential legal academic), and the Mayor of Exeter, a humourless elderly fellow.
The three contenders were all final year law students. The one who stood out and was the unquestioned winner of the contest was a young man of Armenian or part-Armenian origins called Taghdissian. He was far ahead of the other two in both advocacy and law and was a worthy victor. However, before awarding him his laurels, the “Court” (privately, not aired in public) had to consider a technical matter, an ethical violation by him. He nearly lost his otherwise well-merited win.
I spoke to him at the reception afterward. My assessment: a sharp-witted, polite but somewhat arrogant young man who, if he mellowed, might be an asset to our chambers.
A year or two later, I heard that, in the chambers that that person had joined (not the same chambers to which I belonged, though I had in fact told both our senior Clerk and my Head of Chambers, who is now a circuit judge, that he was worth offering a place if he applied), there had been one or two suggestions of inappropriate personal behaviour from that young barrister. I do not think that anything more happened about that, though (and I know only what I was told, though told on good authority).
Now, I have just seen that that student of 2002 is still a member of those other chambers, and has political ambitions, being not only the head of the local Conservatives but having been a several-times candidate.
Taghdissian stood for the Conservatives at the 2017 General Election (for the Exeter seat), but came second. He was also one of six Conservative Party candidates on their party list for South West England in the 2019 European Elections; no Conservative Party candidates were elected. He had previously stood at the 2015 General Election, in the constituency of Cardiff West; placed second.
Taghdissian is evidently determined to get into major-league politics. I shall be interested to follow his progress.
More than a MILLION British women have missed #breastcancer screening as a result of the Westminster regime's obsession with a virus whose average aged victim is older than the average life expectancy. That may be (and I myself did not get to Moscow until 1993) but my view is that, even under Sovietism, the family bonds in Russia were as strong as in the West, indeed more so.
This is quite interesting, and puts a figure on Government propaganda spending in recent months: Government struck £119m Covid advertising deal weeks before first lockdown https://t.co/sADojq9rnM
As with “black lives matter” etc, if people cannot see that the “panicdemic” is a giant conspiracy (built on a real but limited public health problem) then they must be dim indeed.
“Elderly Covid patients were denied intensive care during the height of the pandemic. It’s been revealed a triage tool drawn up at the request of England’s chief medical officer stopped over 80s from receiving potentially life-saving treatment in a bid to try and stop the NHS from being overrun” [Daily Mail]
Professor Ferguson (again)
“Professor Neil Ferguson, the controversial academic whose modelling heavily influenced the national lockdown in March, was accused of scaremongering after saying that people ‘will catch Covid-19 and die’ if families are allowed to mix on Christmas Day.” [Daily Mail].
Why doesn’t someone chuck that bastard off a cliff?
and… “Psychologists said Covid-19 may cause birth rates to fall, people to stay single for longer and for women to become more promiscuous.” [Daily Mail]. Professor Ferguson and his married “ho” (and her cuckold husband) will no doubt be interested to read that…
Meanwhile…
“I work in a law firm and have been told that some of the function is being outsourced to India where qualified lawyers will be doing our jobs for a fraction of our salary. We have been told to expect redundancy announcements any minute. Its not just hospitality and travel industries that are affected.“
“ChristinaV, Guildford, United Kingdom” [Daily Mail Comments]
@ClarkeMicah I keep hearing, 'the cure is worse than the virus'… what cure? Lockdowns/restrictions haven't cured or even helped anything. They shouldn't be put in this positive way. The response is worse than the virus… that's the fact!
This devastating piece of work by @FraserNelson completely explodes the founding myth of the virus panic (and the stupid mantra 'we should have locked down sooner) that the NHS was about to be overwhelmed by Covid in March-April. Please read and share https://t.co/WEIFuMG6sC
The “cuck” “prince” is now once again talking about “unconscious bias”. What about “unconscious bias” in favour of people like him? After all, were he not a “royal prince”, who would be interested in “his” views (the views driven into him by the Mulatta)? In fact, looking at him, I think that Harry would find it hard to get any ordinary job, certainly beyond the entry level.
Exactly. An excellent training exercise for the SBS, but in the end the African migrant-invaders won. They are here, probably in some mothballed business hotel (not exactly the Ritz, but, hey! a lot of homeless Brits would take it!). Once their details (probably fake) are logged, the invaders will be given about £50 a week pocket money and eventually found housing that should go to British families and individuals. Disgrace.
A store in Berlin..Security asked them to put masks on…they said no. https://t.co/Oopf2Nd1a8
'I've seen quite enough civil disorder. I hate and fear it. I value the rule of law above all things. But I fear that if government policies continue there may be disorder. The government, and our governing class in general, need to act to avert this.' https://t.co/3otY4rC1aP
Hitchens is right. As for me, I too hate mobs and disorder, but also hate a society where the people are slaves or near-robots. The right balance between conformity and liberty (and licence) must be struck. The UK has, in the past 20 years, and plainly so in the past year, gone too far towards not only a serf-state, but a stupidly-governed serf-state.
All the safety valves are sealed. Opposition don't oppose. MPs don't scrutinise. Courts do not restrain. Much of the media wont criticise. When safety valves are blocked, you can expect the boiler to burst. Time these people did the jobs they're paid for. https://t.co/3otY4rC1aP
'The government takes away people's jobs, livelihoods and freedom. It governs by decree instead of by consent, what does it expect – that people will pour out on to the streets and wave flowers?' https://t.co/3otY4rC1aP
The BBC has so failed to abide by its Charter and Agreement, and the duty to be impartial on matters of controversy, that it should be disssolved and replaced with a new Public Service Broadcaster. I have defended it for years but cannot do so any longer. https://t.co/3otY4rC1aP
Again, I agree with Hitchens. I favour public service broadcasting, but the BBC is no longer that, or only incidentally. Lord Reith’s dictum, Inform. Educate, Entertain, is either ignored now, or complied with only in parody form.
The General Election of 2019 has washed up an almost embarrassing number of new deadhead MPs onto my golden shore. I have now an even wider choice than heretofore. Out of that mass, I have now chosen Selaine Saxby [Con, North Devon].
I have to admit that I had never heard of Selaine Saxby until yesterday. The material available online about her is sparse, but I think that one can come to an outline understanding of her character and background from what can be found.
Twitter has had much to say about Saxby, mostly critical:
The MP for North Devon has just gone and said some very cynical and mean-spirited things about Free School Meals.
One stand-out is: She hopes businesses which "are able to give away food for free … will not be seeking any further government support."https://t.co/piwkLA2OPp
Selaine Saxby, MP for North Devon, wrote that she 'very much' hoped businesses who helped feed hungry children 'will not be seeking any further government support' https://t.co/O6MdxvO2WS
You certainly do champion the hospitality industry. £500 a night hotels… on MP's expenses obviously (while also claiming rent) pic.twitter.com/6b5S89BmaW
.@SelaineSaxby has only been an MP for ten months, but she's already claimed £30,315.41 in expenses from the public purse. She voted not to feed poor children in the school holidays. 322 MPs voted against – here are their expenses https://t.co/u5t26PI7MTpic.twitter.com/QGZ7NaFHPC
I’m a Tory & have run Parliamentary offices for 30 years. I have huge issues with this administration & many of the new intake. There might be a reason you’re getting grief. Compassionate Conservatism seems to have passed you by. In a deadly pandemic your words are dreadful. pic.twitter.com/JYAU141wwE
Tell you what…I'll leave this here and just ask yourself "what pond life would allow children to starve during these unprecedented and difficult times?" Tory MPs! You are #ToryScumpic.twitter.com/DziIlVHTBt
You said anyone voluntarily feeding hungry children should not expect support from the government. It was crystal clear. You want to punish businesses for being humanitarians. Do they send you on some training course to rip the humanity out of you after you’ve become an MP?
As a former teacher who taught for over 34 years, rather than for 5 minutes, I know how complicated children’s lives can be, especially when they are living in poverty. You could have voted to help them; you didn’t. Shame on you.

I've seen angry responses from people who voted for you too. This is not an opposition thing, most people are angry about your post.
What I find extraordinary about Selaine Saxby’s original comment is not only that it shows a complete absence of any compassion for the poor and struggling, but that it also attacks the very people most likely to vote Conservative: business people, company directors etc.
Selaine Saxby’s background
I had not previously encountered the Christian name “Selaine”. My brief researches have discovered that (unlike, say, Sharon, Sarah, Selena) “Selaine” has no classical or other meaning. There is some suggestion that it might be of French origin, but I have discovered that, in the whole of the past century, and in the whole world where records are available, only 80 girls were named Selaine, almost all between the years 1970-1990, and mostly in Brazil. A mystery.
Selaine Saxby was born in November 1970 in Coventry, and will be 50 within a few weeks. Her father was a school headmaster. Her school education is not, apparently, in the public domain; she then read Mathematics and Management at Cambridge.
I saw a tweet to the effect that Selaine Saxby is “a lawyer”, but that seems to be wrong. I can find no trace of her ever having qualified as either solicitor or barrister.
Having been born in 1970, Selaine Saxby probably graduated in the early 1990s, about 1991 or 1992. The years between then and 2000 are blank, it seems. What was she doing in those ~8 years? Sitting on a beach? Surfing? Working for MI5? We do not know.
Selaine Saxby started an online sport bra company (Lessbounce Ltd) in 2000. It seems to have been modestly successful, but was liquidated in 2016, with debts.
Other activities have included raising money for charity (though she seems to have done that as a “consultant”, i.e. she was paid, so there is no need to look upon her as having been particularly altruistic…).
Her Lessbounce (Lesbounce?) company was obviously no more than modestly successful. When it collapsed in 2016, she had already been working for a year as salaried Chief of Staff (big title for smallish job?) for gay Conservative Party MP, Ben Howlett [Con, Bath, 2015-2017]. As to Ms. Saxby’s own private life, Wikipedia, the several profiles of her online, and the MP’s own website, are silent.
After Ben Howlett lost his seat at Bath in 2017, Ms. Saxby’s job disappeared, so she became a schoolteacher (mathematics) at a state secondary in Bideford (North Devon) for what seems to have been only a few months, until a date in 2019. She had previously fought a doomed campaign at Llanelli (Wales), in 2015, in which contest she finished last out of four candidates.
Ideology
Nothing much is known of Ms. Saxby’s ideological stances except that she voted Leave in 2016, and was elected on the “get Brexit done” basis. Her recent comments seem to reflect unthinking “Daily Mail” views on social welfare. She seems to have said nothing publicly on questions of race and culture.
Attitude to money
I note that, since her election, Selaine Saxby has claimed expenses which have been not huge, and I find it odd that her “staffing costs” seem to have been only £885 in the past year (the maximum claimable is something like £165,000). She claims to take “a packed lunch” to Westminster! If true, rather silly and almost vulgar in view of MPs’ pay and expenses, especially when MPs get excellent restaurant food at Westminster for a few pounds, i.e. heavily subsidized, like the old Soviet “Kremlyovsky payok” (Kremlin ration).
I wonder whether she is not basically a bit of a skinflint. That would seem to explain her comments about both hungry children and struggling businesses.
Ms. Saxby is, incredibly, a member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee in the Commons (she gets extra pay for that).
Conclusion
Selaine Saxby’s recent comments well qualify her as a deadhead MP. I have read her own website and what has been written about her online by Wikipedia, in the Press, on Conservative Home, the House of Commons online resource etc. Phrasing this in the colloquial, I do not detect a lot going on there…
Having said that, she is not going anywhere. North Devon has alternated between Conservative and LibDem for decades, and before that, Liberal, in toto for over a century. Nick Harvey held the seat for the LibDems for 23 years (1992-2015), and Selaine Saxby took over the seat from another Conservative Party MP in 2019.
The collapse of LibDemmery nationwide has meant that a number of their former strongholds are now safe Conservative seats. North Devon is one. It seems, therefore, that Ms. Saxby will be around for some time.
Update, 28 November 2023
Oh dearie, dearie me, what a tangled web we weave.
Notorious sycophant @SelaineSaxby claims there is no sewage issue in north Devon.
I suppose that she will go back to teaching in some girls’ school, taking in daily her briefly-famous packed lunch.
Update, 20 June 2025
Well, Selaine Saxby seems to have disappeared into the obscurity from which she emerged in 2019, though she is still tweeting once every few weeks on Twitter/X.
Incidentally, I see that at least one of my conclusions around her was wrong, i.e. that LibDemmery was collapsing; I think I can claim that I was right at the time, but that was 5 years ago; the times and tides have moved on.
The collapse in public support for both Labour and Conservative parties since the 2024 General Election has, ludicrously, boosted the LibDems by default, mainly in areas which otherwise might have stayed “Con”. Most polling seems to suggest that the LibDems will continue to have 50-75 MPs even after 2029, bad news for Selaine Saxby (if, as may be the case, she harbours hopes of a return to Parliament as Con MP for North Devon).
The fury over a bloke with dodgy tattoos on a woodwork show on Sky History shows how ridiculous “anti-fascism” has become. These time-rich tweeters really think they are the heirs to the heroes of Cable Street. They need to grow up, says Brendan O’Neillhttps://t.co/ZPuAnXpWdE
I must have missed that particular storm in a Twitter teacup. Typical, though. The self-described “Left” (a term which, like “Right”, I never use), or (pseudo-) “socialist” element has nohing much to say.
In 1989, socialism died, all over the world. That was as true of British socialism or social democracy as it was of Soviet socialism (which just expired and evaporated within a couple of years, being replaced by “oligarchic” kleptocracy), and Chinese socialism (which kept the names and forms of socialism while transforming into complete cut-throat capitalism under overall State supervision).
In Britain, the Labour Party changed from a social-democratic party with socialist roots and pretensions into a basically finance-capitalist party with social-democratic pretensions. Clause 4 (nationalization) was ditched; within a few years it was uncontroversial for the half-Jew Mandelson, Tony Blair’s most important ally, to say that he was “intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich“. Imagine Clement Attlee, Harold Wilson or, say, James Callaghan saying that (in public)!
As Labour became a non-socialist party in the 1990s, the more socialist-oriented element in it became infected more and more with the peripheral politics of identity.
As a frequent browser in Collet’s London Bookshop in Charing Cross Road in 1976 (aged 19), I saw that they had shelves devoted to books and magazines about “sexual politics” and the like, as well as what became known as “multiculturalism”. I was social-national even then, and thought that those areas were, even in the context of Marxist/post-Marxist ideology, sideshows at best. I was right then, but wrong down the line, because it was exactly that sort of stuff that eventually took over, not the Labour Party as such, but the more “socialist”-leaning element within it.
What are the concerns of those “socialists” on, say, Twitter? “Refugees” (most of whom are bogus anyway); “LGBT” etc; supporting all the “Covid-19” nonsense (facemasks, lockdowns etc); “black lives matter”. After all those, maybe poverty too, but the real old-style socialists focussed on relief of poverty as of prime importance, together with the whole socio-economic pattern of society. Also, those old-style activists had a idea of how to achieve their objectives. The post-Marxists have exchanged that for what amounts to a virtue-signalling whine.
The Twitterati who think themselves “socialist” (there are exceptions), especially the “antifa” element and the Jew-Zionists, find their greatest pleasure and victory when someone with whom they disagree (usually unthinkingly) is expelled from Twitter. Most interesting tweeters (like me, if I immodestly say so) are now gone from increasingly dull Twitter.
Also, the Twitterati are often found complacently reciting that xyz (like me) have rightly been expelled from Twitter because “Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc are commercial companies and can expel or deny service to anyone”. Pretty pathetic. A surrender to the marketplace, and a quasi-monopolistic marketplace at that. No thought as to the rights of the citizen qua citizen (eg free speech rights) going beyond mere contractual rights.
One might add that Twitter is the main playground of such people. Not the real world where real events happen and where questions of politics, questions of importance, are decided.
Whining on Twitter (“slacktivism”) becomes the substitute for real political or social action.
You can see all of that in the Corbyn saga of recent years. Corbyn Labour was not without its virtues, though Corbyn was really a surviving example of an old-style socialist surrounded by those new-style pseudo-socialist virtue-signallers; political coelacanth [“Coelacanths were thought to have become extinct in the Late Cretaceous, around 66 million years ago, but were rediscovered in 1938…The coelacanth was long considered a “living fossil““— Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coelacanth].
The result of the obsession with peripheral matters (perhaps the most bizarre and off-piste is re. “transphobia”) has been that Labour itself (and the so-called “Left” in general) has become politically almost irrelevant, despite the Labour Party being the only major “opposition” to a Conservative Party government of surpassing incompetence.
Matters of wide public concern: mass immigration and migration-invasion; education; NHS services; a future for the young; security for the old; the environment; housing; pay and benefits.
There are really only two groups now vying for ideological supremacy under the superficial show of politics: the System of “ZOG”, “NWO” etc, and social nationalism. The so-called “Left”, though vocal, is an irrelevance on the wider stage.
The year 2022, 33 years on from the last “reset” of world politics in and after 1989, will be of prime importance. Large-scale change.
If I was reverting to referencing benefits in response to every question & concern about poverty, unemployment & hungry children, I'd make an effort to fix the travesty of Universal Credit which is knowingly & deliberately pushing the most vulnerable into poverty, @BorisJohnson.
Yes but during the holidays 100% of state schools are closed. And it is no secret that universal credit is not enough for a family to live on and not quick or easy to get on if you have recently lost your job. Children are going to go hungry. How can you justify that?
As you’re such an expert on “many benefits”, please tell us how much money parents will get from Universal Credit, after loosing their incomes due to covid??? And then tell us how you’d pay your bills and “budget” on that??? Tories and their supporters are horrible people.
NEW: "The threat of sanctions is causing huge anxiety for people claiming Universal Credit who are shielding".@SeemaMalhotra1 says the continued threat of benefit sanctions when the government has lost control of the virus is completely untenablehttps://t.co/GKvBMptCVi
Imagine being so blindly loyal to a failing bunch of incompetent liars that you would read a pre-prepared statement advocating against providing school meals for children.
Brendan Clarke-Smith is Tory Scum. A pathetic, spinless little worm. https://t.co/iTXZadu82i
I had not previously heard of this backwoods MP. Seems that he was a teacher, somewhere; where? Only a (brief?) stint as headmaster of an unspecified school in Romania is noted. I suspect that he is yet another chancer and freeloader in the Commons. A Romanian wife who is a doctor in Bassetlaw, wherever that is (actually, Nottinghamshire). A prime candidate for my “Deadhead MPs” series. Watch this space.
Perhaps Clarke-Smith might think about how real pay and the real level of State benefits have declined over the years, placing many —even many who are in full-time work— in poverty. He himself has presumably been able to live off his wife’s earnings (at least to a large extent) for years.
Has anyone yet identified this superb citizen of Barnsley, who in a few clear phrases speaks more sense than you could hear in a month from the chattering classes in Parliament or on the disgraceful BBC? https://t.co/gDEogTqrzV
to vote against feeding poor children during a pandemic where parents are being denied universal credit, made redundant, unable to find new jobs bc the state of the economy, increasing costs EVERYWHERE etc just wow. but a pay rise for mp’s is apparently a necessity..?
Look at this despicable+seriously overweight man, claiming that "so much has been done for Universal Credit etc" completely ignoring the fact that a) UC is an utter shambles and b) hungry children can NOT wait for the months-long struggles to get food into their tummies🤬 https://t.co/7DlNtlg1eU
Sack this furlough & Universal Credit Shite. We need a Universal Basic Income. Minimum £1000 per month. This would still be less than minimum wage, more than the state pension, but liveable. Whether this is per person or household is debatable. This is affordable. 🙏😷🏴🏴🏴👍
Tory MPs blaming parents for children going hungry should really take a look at themselves. 10years of austerity, cuts to the system as well punitive universal credit measures has not helped people. Child poverty and homelessness has rocketed on their watch!
The idea that evil hypocrites such as Dunce Duncan Smith, the jew “lord” Freud, Esther McVey and Therese Coffey want to “help” people is naive, to say the least.
Why does @ChtyCommission allow Zionist groups to ‘police’ UK citizens using tactics synonymous with The Cheka police. How long before ‘volunteers’ claim leather coats on expenses? Make no mistake #Chekism is alive and well just watch Joe Glasman’s video. https://t.co/zZvuGe5HWg
I would recommend that you inject some realism into your life. And what risks are you actually referring to? 1/2 Yes, but Professor Gupta is *also* more qualified than her (or you) to judge (and more qualified than Johnson, come to that) and *she* disagrees with Whitty. Experts aren't an excuse for ceasing to think . Intelligent people grasp that @jtwentyman. https://t.co/Wi53DEKAFi
2/2 @jtwentyman. But the BBC can be proud of you. Amazingly, you have managed to get through the past six months *wholly* unaware of the existence of scientific controversy (among experts!) about the wisdom of shutdown policies. Gosh. https://t.co/Wi53DEKAFi
The facemask zealots all pretend to be following The Science, but in reality their zealotry goes far deeper and has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with some strange wish to conform.
@DFlatwhite. You miss the point. Whatever people say in exalted moments, they support the NHS (and boy, do they, through heavy taxation) because they expect it to be there for them and their families when they need it. https://t.co/2MdBl9QlUO
Happened to hear Lord “Gus” O’Donnell, former head of the Civil Service, on BBC Radio 4 PM, a show that became so pathetic and self-indulgent over the years that I stopped listening (in common with, I suspect, almost all of its one-time audience).
Switching over from Radio 3, I heard O’Donnell say something quite striking: churches, said he, had become “community hubs”, along with other places. He added that, instead of being the House of God, they were now the House of Good, by which he meant communitarian good works and societal cohesion.
It could be argued that the two are almost synonymous. “God, or whatever means the Good...”, as Louis MacNeice wrote in one of his poems, Meeting Point [https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/91396/meeting-point]. Another analogous substitution might be “Common Era” instead of Anno Domini, along with “Before Common Era”, BCE, instead of Before Christ (B.C.).
Having said that, and however good the motives for turning churches into combination coffee shops, cafes, souvenir shops, therapy centres, food bank outlets and concert halls (or village halls), the inevitable result of all the social and cultural noise is that a certain spiritual peace is lost. To put it in a more sensationalist way, God is squeezed out, though squeezed out, of course, for the best of motives…
I wonder whether Lord O’Donnell was ever connected with Common Purpose? I should not be surprised.

The “lockdown” and facemask nonsense is largely being driven by people (MPs and others) getting generous pay and expenses from public sources, and who are unaffected by the trashing of the economy.
Celebrating #GuyFawkes Night is more important than ever this year. Resisting foreign-inspired tyranny & homegrown traitors is a new duty as well as an old tradition.
Masks for us, but not for them. Late night bars for them, but not for us. Pay rise for them, but not for us. Quarantine for us, but not for them. Police raids for us, but….
Completely expected. The troupe of clowns pretending to be “our” government will do whatever they want to do, lie about it, weasel about it, and laugh at the people they pretend to govern.
The hypocrisy is ingrained. I have only ever seen one episode of The Simpsons, when I lived in New Jersey in the very early 1990s. I cannot recall the storyline, but the show ended with Bart Simpson sitting down and starting “…so, kids, now you know that war is always wrong...” before reconsidering…”oh…except the war against Saddam Hussein…oh, and the Second World War… and the First World War, and of course the War of Independence, and…” You get the idea.
Human beings are often hypocritical, and rarely totally congruent. The hypocrisy and incongruity rises to 99%+ in politicians of the type we have, those Adolf Hitler called “dirty democratic politicians”, though the UK versions are rarely even “democratic” in any real sense.
More accurately, government-created ghost towns. This madness is now totally out of control. Hardly anyone under 40 is at real risk of both becoming infected and suffering serious effects, yet the whole country is still more or less shut down.
In fact, even most people over 40, but under 70, are only at low risk.
When Alison Chabloz started getting seriously persecuted by the pack of Jews known as the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, manipulating compliant or suborned police, a few years ago, Martin Bashir [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Bashir], then recently-appointed BBC Religious Affairs Correspondent, was observed creeping around the garden of the house in the Derbyshire Peak District belonging to Alison Chabloz’s aged parents. In fact, “creep” seems to be the best description of the bastard.

True, but ditch the outdated and almost meaningless “Right”/”Left” stuff.
Who said you could @niceetoile? Burnham should be *opposing* these pointless, damaging shutdowns, not asking for extra money to make them temporarily bearable. Every week of shutdown means hundreds more jobs lost, dozens more businesses destroyed. For good. https://t.co/tIiT0qdYxG
Pushing the clocks forward to unnatural time was done in an irrational wartime panic in 1916, because Kaiser Wilhelm did it first. https://t.co/jXOe0WLNUP See also https://t.co/ScXJUj1gho
Yes. Putting the clocks back and forward is one of those things that are implemented for doubtful good reasons, but then get stuck and carry on for years, or decades, because society is too lazy to bin them. Other examples would include dog licences, radio licences and having only a ludicrously small amount of foreign currency purchaseable in person, the amount being written in your passport! All of the foregoing were in existence, though the licences were mostly ignored, until Mrs. Thatcher junked them in or about 1980.
We sometimes think that societal progress or change is automatic, when in fact, often, things do have to be actually disposed of actively.

We are spending so much time arguing about the rules no one seems to be focusing on compliance with the rules. I have to be honest. I’m struggling to find anyone who has any intention of obeying these regulations any more.
Which will be a perfect get-out for Boris-idiot and SAGE (“DUMB”— Department Under Matt and Boris). “Coronavirus flaring up? Oh, it’s because all those dissidents and Covidiots are not complying with our rules…”. Forgetting that France and Spain have had far stricter “lockdowns” etc and yet have a far worse death rate per 100,000 from (with) “the virus” than has the UK.
Just been told children seeing their friends represents “unnecessary contact”. We are so completely and utterly screwed.
OK, here’s another one. What is the science behind telling children who see each other every day inside a school they can’t see each other inside a house for a few hours over half-term.
Morning. We are now less than 3 hours away from Greater Manchester – population 2.8 million – being ordered into a Tier 3 lockdown. Against the wishes of its local democratically elected leaders. A lockdown the Chief Medical Officer has already said won't work.
The “virus” in the UK peaked in early April, and has been falling ever since, but only in the past couple of months has the population been forced to wear facemasks…Absurd. They make no difference at all.
If London is still a functioning city in 12 months time it will be a miracle.
Wales announces circuit-breaker lockdown. Government continues to try and bully Manchester into Tier 3 lockdown. So my regular question. Can we see the scientific evidence that supports these interventions? Any evidence at all?

Latest conspiracy theory
What follows is the latest conspiracy theory about “the virus”. I know that it is the very latest, because I have just made it up. I have no evidence at all for it. Not that it might not just be true…
My instant theory is that an international conspiracy has decided to reduce both the world population and world economic activity by releasing a virus which, like multiple independently-targeted re-entry vehicles (MIRVs), will take multiple forms, killing some people, creating long-term infertility in others, and mutating to return in ever more deadly forms for years. Meanwhile, those behind the facade of national governments will keep both political and economic control, repressing dissent, preventing mass gatherings and even small conclaves.
Well, I make no claim as to the accuracy of the foregoing, but it may be correct all the same…
I was looking on Oddschecker Political for odds around current UK politics. I see that the betting is that “Boris” will depart from Downing Street next year (2021). That is the favourite bet, followed by this year! Few are willing to bet that he will still be there in 2022, 2023, or 2024.
I cannot say that I am surprised. Recently, I saw someone deflated, someone who has achieved a lifetime ambition only to find that it has turned to ashes in his hands.
“Boris” never was fitted to be a Prime Minister, or any kind of minister. For all his spouting of rote-learned Latin and Greek tags etc, he has not the intellectual horsepower; neither has he any real ideas. In fact, “Boris” is unsuitable in every possible way.
Look at that: the “British” police will brutalize a British (i.e. white) middleaged woman, but they will kneel down in surrender to a mob of blacks, and will do the bidding of a pack of organized Jews such as the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, which has suborned senior officers of several forces.
True (though I notice that the baby in the poster is non-European; the non-European population has to be reduced worldwide).
If record high temperatures are a sign of global warming, then logically record low temperatures are a sign of ….. Except, of course that there's no logic when the United Nations & global elite have their #NWO agenda to force down our throats.https://t.co/klb1ZWyGdc
Whether one takes at face value the “global warming” idea, or not, it is clear, surely, that something is happening to the global climate? It may or may not be caused by “emissions” of carbon gases; that is unproven. However, there seems to be, putting it this way, more happening in various ways than was the case at least in the last few centuries.

If those students were from the 60s/70s they'd charge out of the building and no one would be able to stop them. That is the problem with today's society. Too conformist.
The sheer conformism of the students is incredible. I saw some on a TV news broadcast. Not one said anything like “let’s all march/demonstrate/go home when we feel like it/ do whatever we want to do”. One even said that he does not like the “lockdown” but it must be necessary or some such BS…
Thinking beyond the immediate present, one wonders what those students are actually getting out of their “degree” courses. Presumably most will be rewarded for their passivity and conformity by being awarded “top” degrees (meaningless because almost all will get them), after which they will struggle to get any jobs, certainly any lucrative ones or any that aspire to being part of a “career”.

More than ten years ago I wrote about a disturbing brush with Britain's new militarised state police. After the worrying events on Saturday in London (I believe there should be an independent inquiry), this seems relevant: https://t.co/V1RR2AMuEe
1/2 My whole argument, from March onwards, has been one of proportion. Are these measures justified by the problem we face? I believe the answer has always been 'No'. But I do tire of being told I am a 'denier', that I don't care about deaths, or that I am a conspiracy theorist. https://t.co/tKU4FBYOcx
2/2 To say that the measures taken are grossly disproportionate is not to say we should have done nothing. But it it is certainly the case that *irrevocable* actions, such as the strangling of the economy and the destruction of jobs, should not have been taken in a panic. https://t.co/tKU4FBYOcx

I mean much more than that @lynnbritney2. The key to politics nowadays is the cultural, moral and educational struggle. The Tories have, mostly without understanding them, adopted the policies of the 1997 government. https://t.co/ewEbLusraw
Unsurprising. After all, what we have in the UK, whatever the party label, is ZOG— Zionist Occupation Government. Now if only Peter Hitchens (or others, for that matter) would make that clear in columns and on radio and TV (before the Zionist Jews gang up to get radio, TV and Press to sack him), that really would be a game-changer; but it is asking a lot to expect any msm journalist, scribbler, or talking head to sacrifice career, income etc for the truth.
Ten deaths! Out of thousands of cases recorded, and a population of maybe 70 million! This is madness. It is clear from the graph above that “the virus” peaked, in terms of deaths from (with) it, in early April, and that there is virtually no danger to most people now.

Egyptian man, 25, dating 80-year-old British grandmother says critics who don't believe he's really in love can 'go to hell' https://t.co/7peC6eSsEU
Oh, no, not another old fool…When I was living for a few months in Egypt (1997-98), I became friendly with a British woman and her Coptic Christian husband (an Egyptian). They told me that this sort of thing is a perennial problem: the older woman from (usually) the UK, aged 40-60 usually, but sometimes older, who “falls in love” with a younger Egyptian (20-40), sometimes a felucca skipper on the Nile, sometimes just someone met at a bar or hotel dance. These days, I suppose one has to add “met on Facebook” or similar to the possibilities…
The woman, divorced or widowed, but sometimes married (but if so, husband not en poste on the holiday) gets seduced and eventually marries the Egyptian. She returns to the UK to sell her house to fund her exciting new life, buys property in Egypt (put into the husband’s name), then, after another trip back to the UK, returns to find her husband living with his real or prior wife (whom the Englishwoman may have met, maybe at the “wedding”, when that other woman posed as the man’s “sister” or “cousin”!).
The British woman soon finds that she has been well and truly “stitched-up”, unable to reclaim her property or money, and quite likely finding that the “marriage” is not even valid under local law.
I might add that a few such marriages are genuine, as with the couple I met, but most are not.
You find this sort of thing reported on occasionally in the UK Press, not only re. Egypt but when British women even marry black Africans from some tribe or other. Absolutely ridiculous.

Well-intentioned, but writing letters and sending emails (or even blogging) only has limited influential effect in a corrupt system riven with Evil. Most MPs are willing collaborators with the forces destroying Britain and all Europe.
When Britain has a real government, it must launch a real inquiry (not the usual toothless “judge-led” or other PR exercise) into the decadence and subversion riddling our society and particularly the msm, which baleful influence has been growing for decades, and which has intensified recently (because 2022 is approaching). Something akin to the Star Chamber, or —for a limited time— the “troikas” of Stalin’s time.
We are presently being subjected to social mass conditioning on the grand scale: the “lockdown(s)”, the facemask muzzling of the population, the attempt to create a forest of fear from an acorn of reality. It is connected with “the Great Reset” and “the Great Replacement”. Look at TV ads, soaps, dramas on TV etc. All part of the evil conspiracy.
Quite so, @silveer_bug68 and the surrender of liberty is often actually popular at the time. It is only later that people ask 'How did we end up like this? Well, this is how . https://t.co/kOgdlIWs9r
Are you sure about that @peterwh44633307? What is your evidence? MPs are employed and paid by us. If they don't do the job we hired them for, and continue to draw large wages, a little brusqueness is quite justified. It would be in any other workplace. https://t.co/FAeEp41ZEF
What tweeter “@Sputnik71” means, I think, is that if MPs were “dense idiots”, they…well…would never be MPs at all! Ha ha! No doubt kind and well-meaning, but has he ever seen these idiots?! I refer him to my “Deadhead MPs” series for a small selection. A few names might give “Sputnik71” pause: Diane Abbott, Fiona Onasanya, Scott Mann, Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, Jess Phillips; and many more. See the Jess Phillips profile above in today’s blog; or another, such as this one about Kate Osamor: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2018/12/02/troop-cartload-barrel-or-family/
It is human nature to suppose that an MP or political leader must be extremely intelligent or at least quite intelligent, educated etc; otherwise he (or she) would not be there. Likewise, that a very wealthy person must be pretty aware and skilled to have their money. Sadly, no.
Many politicians have had both help and luck (though they do need ambition), while most (I concede not all) of the very wealthy simply inherited the loot. Zac Goldsmith. Where would he be, otherwise? An office bod, at best. Or look at Boris-idiot…
Likewise again, when the public are scared witless by “fake news” about a (real) virus being a kind of plague, it is human nature to comply with the “advice” (in the UK backed by fake “law”) and regulation laid down by “the authorities”.
The truth is that, unpleasant though “Covid-19” Coronavirus is for a relative few who both get it and also cannot fight off the symptoms, it has actually killed (even on officially-inflated statistics) under 50,000 people in the UK, out of over 70,000,000, roughly 1 person in 1,500, and most of the deaths were of the very elderly not expected to live long anyway. That is sad, but simply reality. Like life itself, arguably…
As for the world as a whole, a million deaths out of 8 thousand million people! One death for every 8,000 people living.
There is more behind this. The “virus” may have been deliberately created and/or deliberately released. Whatever the truth of that, it is being used to create a robot-society across much of the world.
It is amazing what people will do if they are told by authority that it is beneficial. I am wondering what is next, after mask-wearing has become commonplace and stopped alarming people. Perhaps 'I shaved my head to protect you' . Happened in China. https://t.co/UMXx4plj39
Nor is there any sign that this will ever end. The government's objective appears to be the complete suppression of the virus. Fanatical utopianism. I am reminded of 'We had to destroy the village in order to save it' and 'The operation was a success but the patient died'. https://t.co/nfu3S3BdyZ
Pfeffel reminds me increasingly of the US Army officer in Vietnam who explained amid the ruins 'We had to destroy the village in order to save it', and of the hospital spokesman who said 'The operation was a success but the patient died'.
“Pfeffel” of course being “Boris” (Boris Johnson, Boris-idiot).
When I lived in Almaty (former Alma-Ata), Kazakhstan (this was in 1996-1997), I once saw, from a car, on the road to the former Olympic skating facility in the mountains (I myself occasionally skated there), a quite large number of Kazakh people bathing naked, or wearing only swimming clothing, in a shallow stream or small river fed by mountain snow and flowing through a wooded glade. This was in October and the temperature in the foothills of the mountains was rather low. Such streams are very cold even in Summer (I know— I tried one once!).
[the ice-skating stadium, Medeo, Kazakhstan]
I later asked what the people were doing there and was told that Nazarbaeva, the wife of the President, had recommended bathing in that place as a cure (for almost anything). She claimed to have done so herself. Those brainless Kazakhs were bathing there because they believed her, and they believed her because she was the wife of the President.
Meanwhile, the formerly quite good Soviet medical facilities in the city (Alma-Ata was something of a showplace) were degrading because of funding being diverted from such spending to the offshore bank accounts of the few at the top of the new post-Soviet society in Kazakhstan. Who needs hospitals and medicines etc when a dip in a cold stream will cure you?…
You may say, “well, what do you expect?”, and I agree, but look at British people all going to Waitrose muzzled, and mainly out of both social conformity and because they have been fed a pack of rubbish by clowns posing as “Government” ministers or “Government experts”.
Some silly rabbits can even be seen walking outside, muzzled even though alone and with strong winds blowing!
Apparently, “Boris” was making £800,000 a year before he became PM, from book royalties (about £10,000), scribbling rubbish for newspapers, from after-dinner speeches and from TV appearances. Unbelievable.
It seems that he is whining about only getting £150,000 as PM. Admittedly, that is parsimonious, but at the end of the day, he volunteered, he wanted to show off by being PM (for he has no programme, no ideology, no real ideas), and he can always resign. Why not? He is useless anyway.
In fact, while the report claims that his ex-wife “cleaned him out”, they had two houses worth, together, some £5 million.
It seems that the house “Boris” owns with his present “ho” is now worth over £1.5M. Apparently, he still uses it from time to time. If they are short of money, they could sell it.
If “Boris” complains about the cost of having friends as guests at Chequers (£75 a head), the answer is simple: don’t do it. Also, I doubt that many “ordinary citizens” will feel sorry for him that his Downing Street flat has only a cleaner and no housekeeper, or that it costs him £7,000 a year out of his £150,000 (gross) salary.
In fact, if “Boris” was making £800,000 p.a. (gross) until 2018, did he not manage to put aside any of it?!
Reports of this sort from the “friends of Boris” are more likely to intensify public unease and dislike of the clown.
I suspect that that Daily Mail piece was written, not to create sympathy for the clown posing as Prime Minister but to provoke the opposite. The Conservative Party is ruthless. It stabs underperforming leaders in the back. The latter-day Mrs. Thatcher, Major, Hague, Dunce Duncan Smith, “Howard”. “Boris” is simply not up to the job. It’s a wrong fit for him, something many (including me) realized years ago, but is now apparent to almost everyone across the political spectrum.
My theory is that those influential in the Conservative Party are now thinking how to dump “Boris” and then blame the nonsense of the past 6+ months especially on him. The coming fallout, too.

Cascading climate disasters are no longer features of some dystopian future. They are the here and now, worsening for the next generation and perhaps longer, depending on humanity’s willingness to take action. https://t.co/b3sh2eVage
Whatever one may say about causation, it is fairly clear that big things are happening climatically. In my view, the only thing that can prevent the Earth becoming a shrivelled husk of what it should be is a gigantic population decrease, and that means a gigantic decrease in the non-white population(s), because white Northern Europeans are now only a tiny percentage of the world population.

@micolajane50. Why was 'lockdown' a mistake? Because it destroyed the economy, led to many needless deaths, gravely damaged liberty and achieved precisely nothing. More detail available on application. https://t.co/u81ZO5NW1S
Incredible that there are people who apparently need to ask “why was ‘lockdown’ a mistake?“, but there again, if you are fairly comfortably off, do not need (for whatever reason) to work for money, perhaps live in the country or outer suburbs and have little social life, you may not have been affected much if at all by the stupid “lockdown” imposition.
Indeed, you may have enjoyed the sense of peace and quiet as society all but shut down, as Nature reasserted itself. If you are or were in that position, your life was not much strained, assuming that you have at least some income. Deliveries of food and drink, ordered online; other shopping ordered online; books, DVDs etc. For those with higher incomes and better properties, there was always the swimming pool and tennis court in which to while away the days…and so on.
Such people can selfishly (not necessarily consciously selfishly) turn blind eyes to the shutdown of industry and commerce, to the terrible shortages affecting charities such as animal charities, among others, and to the socio-economic disaster created but which has not yet arrived (that will be in 2021-2022). They can also, perhaps, ignore the cost in pain and death of the semi-closure of the NHS, which has affected those with non-Coronavirus conditions.

I can only think of one fairly recent event that got the MPs off their chairs pretty excitedly, but having no wish to be bored by police nuisances at my door (again, it having happened a few times in 2017-2018), I do not think that I shall cite that event here.

Memory Lane
I hope that the readers of my blog do not object to the inclusion of some personal reminiscences. Having Saturn in Scorpio, I do tend to think back rather a lot. As the Germans say, “Ruckshau“.
I was just recalling former times, triggered by an email from someone.
Many many years ago, I had a —now-deceased— friend, a lecturer at the language centre of the University of Westminster, who lived in the London Borough of Barnet (I think he was within that borough— North Finchley). A good fellow, a noted translator of Dostoyevsky, called Ig Avsey: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2013/dec/09/ignat-avsey-obituary
In the late 1980s, I occasionally stayed overnight there (on a very uncomfortable and ancient leather sofa in the drawing room, a cold room decorated with Ig’s collection of massive railway clocks). When Ig remarried in 2000 (a very unsuitable match, to a youngish Russian woman resident in Latvia), the couple came and stayed overnight at the large country house of which my wife and I had a lease, in Cornwall. That was in 2002, I think. Once was enough, to be frank! Sadly, “there’s no fool like an old fool” when it comes to women…
Ig lived in a small close called Wolstonbury, which backed onto a golf course or land near a golf course. A strange menage. For a while, a fellow we both called “Uncle John” lived there too, a former student of Ig’s and an Oxford grad, but middle-aged and, like Ig, divorced. They always reminded me of “The Odd Couple“:
“Uncle John” was a very English person, who was still under the thumb of his ex-wife, Alla Figoff, a Leningrader by origin, and who was in fact another of my occasional teachers (Russian Conversation, I think). Alla lived in their former marital home, an apartment in Devonshire Place (in the West End), while Uncle John was living in one room at Ig’s place…and their two children were both at expensive schools paid for by Uncle John (Marlborough, I think; maybe also Bedales or Benenden, I cannot now remember).
Alla was killed, years later, in a fall from her balcony when she was full of whisky. Uncle John then met and married a very wealthy woman and resumed his place among the palatially-housed.
Ig was a good fellow, whose translations of Dostoyevsky were much-praised (one or two had, amazingly, never been translated previously, such as In the Village of Stepanchikovo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Village_of_Stepanchikovo).
Ig had been born in Latvia, his family having fled Russia during the Revolution and Civil War of 1917-1922. Fleeing Soviet forces again during the Second World War, he spent time in Germany before ending up in Britain when aged about 14, sometime around 1952.
Ig Avsey was the kind of Russian (or part-Russian: he was always rather secretive about his family) who is able to work at a project devotedly for years, without pay or plaudit; one thinks of Mitrokhin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasili_Mitrokhin.
Ig took a year’s sabbatical in order to translate The Brothers Karamazov for Penguin Classics. A decision which brought honour but was financially pretty disastrous. The year, taken on full pay with the blessing of the University, became a second year in which the University reduced his salary to half-pay, then a third on no pay at all. The money paid by the publishers did not begin to make up the shortfall. Ig was a perfectionist who wanted to get it right. For him, Dostoyevsky was the greatest of the Russian writers, I think. He would not compromise.
At the same time as Ig was translating Karamazov, at least two other translations came out, but they were little more than potboilers, produced carelessly because the market seemed to be hopeful. One even used Americanisms such as “district attorney” and “chief of police”! In pre-revolutionary Russia! In fact, Ig did consult me about a couple of odd things (to do with such designations).
The University eventually had enough of the endless absence and Ig was more or less forced into retirement. I do not think that his Penguin contract was very generous either. He was only getting pennies for each volume sold; how many pennies, I cannot recall.
Society needs people like that.

A stupid argument, @p___m___b I know as much as Matt Hancock and 'Boris' Johnson do about viruses. Why does *their* lack of specialist nowledge not trouble you, when they have destroyed the economy, whereas mine does, when I seek only to prevent further damage? https://t.co/Kkxo6pvtBT
So the BBC is now trying to make heroes out of the Jew thugs, gangsters and terrorists known as the “62 Group”…
The BBC is infested, contaminated.

Saw Doctor Zhivago for the first time in a few years; on BBC Four, the only good BBC TV station. Still a magnificent film, despite the relatively few flaws which could easily have been remedied by better pre-filming research, e.g. Communists calling non-Communists “Comrade“, which is erroneous (it would have been just by name or via the title “Citizen“).
