Listening to Twitter clips of Rebecca Long-Bailey and her supporter Angela Rayner (candidate for Deputy Leader) on the Marr show, I really think that Labour must be on the way out, despite the fact that it had very considerable support among younger voters (under the age of 25, especially) at the 2019 General Election.

How does Rebecca Long-Bailey consider that Israel as a state is not a “racist endeavour”? It was founded by Jews for Jews! Yes, they do employ some others, mainly the Palestinian Arabs whose ancestors they defeated in their ethnic-cleansing war of 1948. Does that change the nature of the state? The whole enterprise is a Jew ethnostate! That is one reason (as well as a place to dump the Jews that Hitler wanted out of the Reich, out of Europe) why the Reich did not oppose its — then only potential— founding.

Endeavour

Watched a new episode of Endeavour. Quite well-executed as always, but the “agenda”, as in other series such as Grantchester etc, becomes so very obvious that it is silly. Every second character is black, South Asian or gay. This in the Oxford of 1970! Even the tinker “gypsy” children who find one of the bodies near their caravans are playing football with a black boy; and the mother of a “racist” teenager who is stabbed later blames the “British Movement” and its Parliamentary candidate, so redeeming herself as a true multikulti convertee. All a bit too desperate…

Endeavour has also continued the Inspector Morse and Lewis tradition of a few subtle or not so subtle jests in each film. In this case, a Bangladeshi restaurant called The Jolly Rajah and an apartment building called Tiffin Court…

Even leaving the above gripes aside, the plot this time was nowhere near as good as in most if not all previous episodes.

I suppose that Keir Starmer is the most obviously “System” candidate. I do not dislike his views or self enough to say that I am opposed to him, exactly. It is more that I find him underwhelming, a kind of nullity. There’s nothing much to hold on to either way, either by way of credit or criticism. He was neither hopeless nor brilliant as Director of Public Prosecutions, though as DPP he did not stand up for freedom of expression on social, political and historical topics, which is all-important at present. The Jews do not oppose him as candidate Labour leader. A worrying sign…

Another point about Keir Starmer that I have noticed is that he has few ideas about policy. There’s nothing new there. An occupational hazard among barristers, in my view. I know that I am not alone in thinking that Keir Starmer is weak on policy, having recently seen that some commentators agree with me on that.

Many know that the LBC radio station is basically (((occupied))). Even those who, like Nick Ferrari, are not actually Jewish, are very pro-Israel, always pro the Jewish lobby, often inviting Jew Zionists, such as the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” (“CAA”) criminals, onto their shows (where the Zionists are allowed to propagandize, and are rarely if ever put on the spot).

There is also the point that, unless I have misunderstood the Irish electoral process, the new government will only function as lead party in a coalition, Sinn Fein having only just pipped the other two main parties, with about 24% of the national popular vote.

I just saw another tweet to add to hundreds of others over the years, all of which say “my father liberated Belsen concentration camp”. Actually, a relative few say “my grandfather”, “uncle” or “I knew someone who…”). It has often been said that a small number of SAS soldiers stormed the Iranian Embassy nearly 40 years ago, but that hundreds (often not SAS or ex-SAS at all!) have claimed to have been there at the material time. So it is with “the liberation of Belsen”. Obviously, some British soldiers were there in 1945, but it becomes a bit stupid when everyone and his dog is supposed to have been there. Likewise, the fact that many unfortunate prisoners died at Belsen from disease or starvation at the end of the war (the result of epidemics, shortage of medicines, bombing of roads and railways) does not establish that, hundreds or thousands of miles to the East, Jews were “gassed”.

Katie Hopkins

Katie Hopkins seems to have been, in effect, expelled from Twitter. When the Jews got me expelled, Twitter weaselled about it being a “suspension”. I knew at once that it was a permanent expulsion. I also guessed correctly that it was meaningless, much like Twitter itself.

I doubt that Katie Hopkins will be “allowed” back on Twitter. She may realize before long that it really does not matter, because Twitter is 99% a waste of time in terms of real political influence. In her case though, I suppose that her various social media platforms were monetized, so she might suffer in that way.

The right-on idiot “antifa” types and pseudo-socialist scribblers etc are all ecstatic at her removal from their beloved echo-chamber, as seen in the triumphalism of the Daily Mirror report, below:

I suppose that I must reiterate my view about Katie Hopkins. I disliked her attitude and most of her views from the first time I saw her on TV, which was when she did a 5-minute op-ed piece on BBC Daily Politics about 8 or 9 years ago. Her target then was those on disability benefits, and her views echoed those of the government regime of David Cameron-Levita, Iain Dunce Duncan Smith and the Jew “lord” Freud, inter alia.

Over the years, Katie Hopkins became a kind of female British “shock jock”. Her views are mostly very different from mine. She says that she is pro-Jew, pro-Israel (I think that I read somewhere that she herself is part-Jew, but I may be mistaken), anti-Islam (I am with her there, up to a point), anti-Islamist (I agree with her there), anti-mass migration into Europe (I am certainly with her on that), but she is also pro-Conservative, anti-Welfare State, anti-renter/pro-landlord (that may have changed now that she herself has to rent a home) and generally “libertarian” (anathema to me).

So I do not approve of many of her political stances, but have no objection to her expressing them. Those who had her expelled from Twitter just want to close down free speech by making a spurious distinction between “free speech” and “hate speech”.

Who are “they”, in this context? Well, mainly the Jew-Zionist element, but also the idiot-“antifa” element. The funny thing is that the “antifa” element is mostly anti-Israel, but when it comes to Jewish-supremacist influence and power in the UK, USA, France etc, the “antifa” idiots line up behind the Jews! As the now long-deceased husband of a friend of mine once said “one Jew can lead a thousand Englishmen by the nose!” That is so so true, sadly…

The privatization of public space

I first spoke about this matter when I addressed the London Forum in early 2017. It was novel then; in fact, as far as I am aware, no-one then was raising the point that the citizen qua citizen has no legal right to post (or even to exist, online) on the private-enterprise Internet platforms such as Twitter, Facebook etc.

There is also the point (which I touched on briefly in my 2017 talk) that while, legally or in terms of strict economics, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, ebay, YouTube etc are not monopolies, in practical terms, in real terms, they are. Yes, you can leave Twitter and get on GAB, but Twitter has about 500 million users, while GAB has (?) about 500,000, if that.

I have often wondered what those imposing censorship by online mob (or backstairs influence) think will be the situation once they have banned everyone of whom they disapprove. Few seem to be aware that “the revolution devours its own children”.

Already I see some of the very “antifa” loudmouths and conspirators (who want others expelled from Twitter, “de-platformed”, “un-platformed” etc), themselves kicked off their platforms. “@resistinghate”, the small but unpleasant group fronted by Roanna Carleton Taylor of Derbyshire (formerly “@witchofpeace”, now “@antifashwitch”) has just been removed by Twitter, to take but one example.

For years, a minor Jew academic called Ben Gidley, with other Zionist Jews, tried to get Twitter to remove my account. They succeeded in the end (in 2018), but Gidley’s own accounts “@inthesoupagain” and “@antinazisunited” were also eventually removed or rendered inactive (though his personal Twitter account remains, I think, as does another of his Zionist fake “socialist” accounts, “@BobFromBrockley”).

I was wrong— after a week, Twitter “allowed” Katie Hopkins to resume tweeting…for now, on sufferance, like a person given a suspended sentence. Allowed her back on, so long as the Jewish lobby and the pseudo-socialists, and the pseudo-“human rights” pack do not convince some little person at a Twitter desk that she should not be removed again.

You see the issue: she has no right qua citizen to tweet, only the —effectively, no— rights available in contract to her as a party to a contract with Twitter. The laws of the UK, USA etc must eventually change to take account of the rights of a citizen qua citizen in contract with a quasi-monopoly.

Well, turn and turn about! Seems that I was right after all about Katie Hopkins: her Twitter account was later “suspended” for a second time, and this time permanently (just as mine was in 2018).

I sometimes think, in the manner of a latter-day G.K. Chesterton, that Twitter is a gigantic conspiracy to gather up all those interested in either commenting on society or changing it, then allowing the human atoms to bounce harmlessly off each other within the “echo-chamber”, never affecting anything seriously in the real world…

Well, Katie Hopkins never was allowed back onto Twitter, and “Resisting Hate” has also apparently been binned. Roanna, “Witch of Peace” and “@antifashwitch” has now become “@oilpaintwitch” and is not tweeting much about politics. I have no idea why (as I have seen alleged) the police suddenly took more interest in her weird activities of all kinds. There are a number of possibilities.

I never did discover what happened to the £11,000+ donated via the GoFundMe platform by about 700 mugs so that “antifa” cheerleader and petty online denouncer Mike Stuchbery could “sue Tommy Robinson”. Stuchbery’s Pakistani “legal team” (1-2 Pakistanis) seem, so far, to have drafted one “letter before action”, but that was about 2 years ago).

I do not say, necessarily, that Stuchbery and/or Roanna Carleton-Taylor simply “kept” the money, but if not, what happened to it? Perhaps we shall never know. Oh, by the way, Stuchbery has just this week been tweeting from Greece, where he is apparently residing in a villa while he enjoys the Greek food, drink, and weather for a few weeks…Not bad for someone who seems to be without gainful employment (though he sometimes ludicrously claims to “work three jobs”).

I myself did not see the TV interview with Eva Schloss, but I notice that while the Daily Mail report mentions “gas chambers” as background, the woman herself does not claim to have actually seen one, even though she was at Auschwitz for eight months!

In fact, I heard an American Jew grating on BBC Radio 4 Today this morning. He has been heavily involved in what he called “maintenance” of the Auschwitz site, which sounds like it was a rebuilding. He said “by the end, we had ‘restored’ it to what it looked like in 1945.” Is that so?

In January 1945, almost everything at Auschwitz was demolished by explosives and/or razed to the ground by fire. What visitors now see (in what is a whole tourist industry now) is a supposed “reconstruction”.

A few years ago, some (I think Swedish) tourists stole the famous “Arbeit Macht Frei” sign. It was recovered a few days later, but before that, in fact within a few hours of the theft, a facsimile had been installed. The facsimile was exactly like the “original”. How there came to be such a copy lying around ready for deployment was never explained.

I was in Poland a few times in the late 1980s, some of which time was spent, on two of those visits, in the fairly small Polish city of Bielsko-Biala, about 15-20 miles from the Auschwitz site.

I recall sitting having a beer at a deserted tourist hotel at Bielsko in December 1988 (I was not staying in the hotel…just there for the beer, so to speak). I saw a lone British tourist (from somewhere in Northern England, from the accent) talking to her Polish guide about how her main reason to be there was to visit the Auschwitz site. I myself never went there and I did not hear any Polish people (I was in the country, in several visits, for a total of about 2 months) once mention either “Auschwitz” or its modern Polish name, or anything to do with it.

Of course. After all, the mulatta is not far off 40, and as a rather minor TV star would have been over the hill in the USA by now, whereas she is now a “duchess” and a “British” “royal” (and, by the way, the removal of the “HRH” means nothing to most Americans, blind to such niceties; one congressman even tweeted that the mulatta and Harry are both “monarchs”!).

The mulatta has beaten the biological clock and her son will no doubt be quite wealthy thanks to (mainly) the Windsor connection. In Cockney-ese, MM has “played a blinder”.

There is no need to assume, as many have done, that the mulatta stalked and bagged Harry like a modern Diana (the Roman deity, not Harry’s mother); the relationship was no doubt on some level or levels a genuine one. However, there was no doubt also an element of calculation. In any case, MM was born, brought up and lived in a milieu of Southern Californian instant gratification. She has tried out the “British royal” thing for a couple of years now and says that “it is not working for me”.

I blogged quite a while ago that Harry was in danger of becoming that stock character of American sitcom-land, the henpecked husband. I should say that he has now gone beyond even that and has, in the American vernacular, become a “cuck”…

It occurs to me that Harry is also like another fictional character: Vronsky, in Anna Karenina. In that book, Anna and Vronsky are cold-shouldered by Petersburg society, and so decide to go to live in Italy. Anna settles to the life of an exile, but Vronsky finds himself homesick (and homesick as perhaps only a Russian can be). His Russian officer friends are all doing well in their careers etc, while he feels almost like an appendix to Anna: useless, pointless, resentful.

Harry of course is not Vronsky, not Russian, not completely exiled either. However, I think that the comparison stacks up. What about MM? Well, of course she is not exiled by living in North America anyway. She was born in the USA and has lived in (and indeed had her only real acting success in) Canada. Only Harry is being exiled, or exiling himself.

As to Harry’s view of the world, he seriously seems to believe that he has faced huge challenges in his life, when in reality he has never had to face a tenth or even a hundredth of those faced by most people. He’s a spoiled brat, basically. People have said that of MM, but it applies even more to Harry. MM is what she is. Harry knows better, or should. This will not end well.

I doubt that I am alone in thinking that the very well paid women in the msm should just shut up about how unfair their lives are and how underpaid they are. If I never saw or heard from Samira Ahmed, Carrie Gracie, Sarah Montague and the rest of that overpaid group, I should be more than content. While most people in the UK struggle, these women already make hundreds of thousands in most cases. Yes, it may be that the (male) idiot on the sofa or in the studio with them gets even more. Want equality? Then let’s reduce their pay and that of the men to a less-obscene level. Not £600,000 a year, not £300,000 a year. Something nearer to £100,000 or £150,000. Unwilling to accept that level of remuneration? Fine. Bye…

In reality, the BBC bought off Carrie Gracey, someone scarcely known to the public, for £700,000! Sarah Montague has just had £400,000 in cash thrown at her to shut her up. Yet they still whine about the “unfairness” of their lives! Just SHUT UP!

As for the BBC casually throwing away millions on such rubbish and other rubbish, that outdated waste of space really has come to the end of the patience of the people. I favour, greatly favour, public service broadcasting, but the BBC is not really that any more anyway. It has to be ruthlessly cut down and purged.

In 2007, I was still a practising barrister. One day, I had just finished a contractual dispute involving boatbuilding at Southampton. Right next door to Northern Rock, a branch (maybe a charity shop; I just saw the sign) of The Samaritans! I wish I had had a camera! I probably could have sold the photo to the national Press!

Having said that, I have been reading some tweets and other material about Matt Ridley. When it comes to scientific questions, he is interesting and may well be right in certain areas (e.g. re “Nature and Nurture”), but, like so many scientists (not to mention actors and others) becomes effectively an idiot as soon as he steps out of his magic circle into the realms of politics and, it seems, socio-economic policy.

Monty Don’s American Gardens

I like gardens, though not gardening! I very much like Monty Don’s odysseys across the history and geography of gardens. His Italian Gardens series was excellent. This latest series today included the Middleton Plantation in South Carolina, near to Charleston, where I once had colleagues. We had a small lunch and business meeting at that estate one weekend. Only about 6 or 7 people. I recall that I decided to go local, so ordered catfish and collard greens; you can’t get much more “Southern” than that!

I suppose that the Labour membership is thinking that a System figurehead such as ex-DPP Keir Starmer would not frighten the horses electorally. True, but he would also be a pretty dull choice. I am not sure how much Starmer really wants positive change, whereas Rebecca Long-Bailey does, not that my view of her is particularly kind either.

I see that the philosopher Roger Scruton has died.

I never met him, and rather disapproved of some —by no means all— of his views (as seen in the newspapers, mainly) and activities (e.g. foxhunting), but he was an important figure in his own field and in terms of socio-political life.

He was, arguably, better known in Central Europe than in the UK. I recall seeing a whole window full of his works, in Czech translation, in a Prague bookshop. That was in 1999, 11 years after I first saw the city (in 1988 it was still under socialist rule).

“Scruton published a rueful article in the Spectator magazine, lamenting the Maoist climate of intolerance sweeping through our institutions. ‘We in Britain are entering a dangerous social condition in which the direct expression of opinions that conflict — or merely seem to conflict — with a narrow set of orthodoxies is instantly punished by a band of self-appointed vigilantes,’ he wrote.” [Daily Mail].

Scruton was at one time friendly with a couple of people I knew in South London. That would have been in the 1970s. He would visit on his bicycle (an Oxbridge affectation which must have been hazardous in South London even then); he was at that time sometimes at Goldsmiths’ College in New Cross and may have taught there on occasion, though his main base was Birkbeck College (University of London) in Bloomsbury.

Scruton apparently enjoyed talking philosophy with the people I knew, but he ditched them and cut off contact after one of them was reported upon by the trash press as being “far right”. He was afraid that the connection might damage his career, which was just starting to take off at the time.

Curious to read that, in 1974-76, when he was 30-32, Scruton read for the Bar, at the Inns of Court School of Law (which I myself attended in 1987-88). He was Called in 1978, at age 34, though he never practised. I wonder why he bothered to become a barrister; because the Bar was a —small-c— “conservative” profession? Maybe because being even nominally a barrister was putting two-fingers up to his modest origins in High Wycombe, and to the father who stopped speaking to him after he won a place at Cambridge? Was that also one reason why he took up foxhunting?

Scruton was certainly interested in money, setting up private companies etc. Again, perhaps a result of financial insecurity in his earlier life.

A mixed picture. Not unflawed, but a substantial figure.

The country that hates trees

Sometimes it seems to me that English people hate trees. In fact, most do not, but every now and then you see newspaper reports of disputes about them, such as one seen a couple of years ago, where most of the people living in a street of surpassing ugliness somewhere in the North East wanted the only tree in the street chopped down. It was not even very tall or wild. Similarly, the neighbour-disputes about trees. In most cases, the trees are not in any way “dangerous” (an idee fixe in England— in, say, Germany, trees often grow close to houses, as indeed is the case in, say, Russia).

I attribute part of the blame to the “Thatcher’s children” types, the kind of pleb-Cons who, especially in certain kinds of neighbourhood, spend much time on “Do It Yourself” repairs and “improvements”, when not washing and valeting their prized cars. God forbid that their little gardens (probably tarmacked or gravelled in front and laid to lawn in back, with statutory tiny and pointless “water feature” as recommended by some TV “landscape” guru) should have hedges or trees that might even, at times, look slightly “untidy”.

Times such as this week, when high winds are expected, tend to bring out the anti-tree idiots, afraid that trees that have stood for decades or even centuries will be uprooted.

I think that it was Chekhov who wrote that “for some people, a tree is sacred”. Amen.

The defendants in this case are “travellers” of some sort. I have little time for Priti Patel, but if she can screw down on such horrible riff-raff I shall applaud her.

Opinion poll

An opinion poll released this evening shows that Labour’s likely share of the popular vote has declined 4 points even since the General Election. Not exactly a shock.

Labour leadership contest

It has become clear over the past weeks that the stand-out preference, for the Jewish lobby at least, is Jess Phillips. Now she has “suspended” an “aide” because said aide (Muslim, judging by the name) tweeted anti-Israel comments before she was in Phillips’ employ.

It is thus also clear that Jess Phillips is willing to do anything to gain and retain the support of the Jewish/Zionist lobby.

The above Jewish Chronicle report is interesting also because the suspended “aide” is in fact Jess Phillips’ Constituency Office Manager. Now Jess Phillips is somewhere near the top of the list of MPs in terms of claiming expenses. She claims at least 50% more than most and double or even triple what some MPs claim. Within those expenses, she also “employed” her own husband as “Constituency Support Manager” from her election in 2015 until February 2019. In effect, she seems to have employed him as “House Husband”. We are not talking peanuts here. Something like £50,000 a year. No-one can say that Jess Phillips has not made the most of having blagged her way into becoming a MP.

I suppose that Jess Phillips decided that it would be an easy hit for her opponents if she continued to “employ” her husband (something against Parliamentary rules for new MPs elected in or after 2017; but she was elected in 2015). That would seem to lead to the conclusion that she has had her eyes on Corbyn’s purple for a year at least.

I conclude also that the Zionist/Jewish/Israel lobby has decided to go for the candidate most willing to show herself or himself publicly as a complete doormat for Zionist and Israeli interests. Jess Phillips seems to fit. She is also very interested in money, as her expenses claims and other activities have proven.

Further, it seems that loyalty, for me personally a very high psychological value (after all, Meine Ehre heisst Treue…) means little to Jess Phillips. Her constituency office manager had worked for her for some time without a problem, and the tweets were all posted in the period 2014-2016, prior to that employment.

To gain the approval of the Jewish/Zionist lobby, Jess Phillips has thrown her employee (and in view of the intimacy of working relations between an MP and any constituency office manager, perhaps a friend) “under a bus”, in the oft-seen phrase.

The Zionist lobby has now laid down its arrogant “demands” to Labour: sign up to a document via which we shall control the Labour Party, its MPs, officers, members and supporters, or we shall destroy you.

Few Jews (<5%) vote Labour now anyway. The whole “community” numbers only 250,000-300,000 (though the statistics really need to be brought up to date and properly collated), so 5% of 250,000-300,000 = ~14,000 voters. What right have they to prioritize their own tribal interest(s)?

What makes “their” demands even more bizarre is that it was partly, indeed largely, because of the relentless attacks on Labour and Corbyn by Jewish Zionists in the Press, on radio, on TV and on social media that Labour lost the recent general election and lost it fairly badly (though in fact Labour still got 32.2% of the popular vote, as against 40% for the Conservative Party).

You can add to the above, the way in which “Labour” MPs (controlled or bribed or influenced by “the lobby”) attacked their own leader and Labour even during the election campaign itself!

I am not Labour, have never even voted for Labour, but if I were Labour, I would be disgusted at the antics of MPs such as Jess Phillips.

I have to admit, though, that she is cunning. Employment law was not something I specialized in when I was a practising barrister, so I hesitate to pronounce upon it now, but by suspending her constituency office manager rather than sacking her outright (or not doing anything), Jess Phillips can now say “I cannot comment because a disciplinary process is under way”…

Only complete subservience will now be acceptable to “the lobby”. Even Emily Thornberry, very pro-Jew, fairly pro-Israel and with a half-Jew husband (a High Court judge) is now unacceptable to “the lobby”!

I think that I can see why “the lobby” is going with Jess Phillips. Not because she is part-Jew (though I suspect that she may be; however, I have so far found no direct evidence), but because she is willing to do anything to progress her political career, has no loyalty to anyone or anything (inc. the Labour Party, which she has called “just a f***ing rose”, after its symbol); because, also, she has no ideology or political principle and is not really a person of any education or culture. Had to laugh at Bette Midler castigating Piers Morgan (not that I like him much) for attacking Harry and MM. She said that he should be ashamed, because they are “half” Morgan’s age! Hardly. MM is 38, and will be 39 this year; Harry is now 35. Piers Morgan is 54.

I can see why she assumed that Harry and MM are younger than they are. Their naivety and youthful sense of entitlement and that the world revolves around them. Alison Chabloz and the conspiracy to silence her

Yesterday’s (10 January 2020) hearing at Derby Crown Court was presided over by HH Judge Egbuna, who remarked that it was “vital” to ascertain whether the decision of the National Probation Service to press for prosecution of Alison Chabloz on the ground of breach of condition had been taken “professionally” or whether the decision had been a result of “political motivation”.

The judge was informed by Prosecution Counsel that the decision to proceed with a prosecution (and so trial for breach) was not taken or initiated by Alison Chabloz’s probation officer, as would be the normal situation; neither was that decision taken by his supervisor. It was the decision of someone above those levels.

Sounds as though the judge is seriously worried by possible interference in the judicial and quasi-judicial processes by (((someone))) or (((some organization)))…

The judge declared that Alison’s trial could not proceed until it had been established on what basis or bases the decision to prosecute had been taken, and by whom. The matter has now been adjourned until 25 June 2020.

That, however was not the end of (((their))) manipulations for the day. Alison Chabloz was arrested at court and taken to Derby Police Station, where she was “interviewed” (interrogated) by detectives about a complaint made by (((   ))). At length, late in the evening, she was given police bail until a date in mid-February, but only on the condition that she not post on her blog. That disgraceful “police-state” prohibition will, I apprehend, be challenged in court before very long.

Well, there we have it. A contrived “complaint” with the sole (main) aim of preventing Alison Chabloz from exercizing her right to free speech (which right “they” have almost destroyed in the UK, aided by “me too” rabbits on Twitter and elsewhere). What other objective? Well, I suppose that it also inconvenienced Alison Chabloz, and their little minds love to do things like that, as witness the false and malicious complaint the same “people” made about me three years ago:

It seems to be hard to find a name for it that is not vulgar. At one time it was called the King Arthur’s Castle Hotel, I think, and is now the Camelot Castle Hotel.

I stayed there once myself, but before (((those))) who “monitor” my blog get excited, I was not very engaged politically at the time (late 2001) and never met the owner, one Mappin, who inherited a large chunk of the Mappin & Webb jewellery business https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mappin_%26_Webb

I remember my stay there well. It was about a week or so before Christmas. Wet, windy, stormy in fact. My wife and I were looking around possible homes in the South West (we found one in the end, at least for a couple of years). Needing a place to stay overnight, I chose this castle hotel, which is right on the cliff at Tintagel.

I understand that the hotel has since been refurbished. At that time, though, it had an impressive if slightly gloomy ambience. In fact it was not much like a hotel at all. For one thing, despite the size of the place, my wife and I were the only guests. Also, the staff on duty that evening seemed to consist of a middle-aged couple: a pleasant but rather eccentric Austrian (I think) woman and her husband, I think English, bearded, rather lacking in joie de vivre and whose realm seemed to be the cavernous and dimly-lit bar, where he was deep in conversation with (I presumed) a friend.

We were shown several rooms, and ended up in what was, I think, the most expensive (£200 a night B&B, in 2001…well overpriced for what was offered). The room was very large, very cold (there was an almost antique double-bar fire set into the wall) and contained a four-poster bed. We were told that Elgar had stayed for some time in that room. I later discovered that he had composed much of his Second Symphony there:

I believe that numerous other artistic and other luminaries have stayed in that hotel in the past; Arnold Bax and Yeats among them.

The hotel was so shut down when I visited that it was unable to offer its guests (us) even a snack. We were advised that the inns in Tintagel village, which starts near where the hotel driveway ends, were good. We found simple pleasant Cornish fare at such an inn and then returned to the castle for a couple of drinks in the Great Hall (and it really deserves its title), alone apart from the bearded retainer who brought the drinks. A memorable experience, to sit there before a huge open fire reminiscent of an Errol Flynn film, the storm blowing outside.

In the morning, breakfast was served by an aged waitress, her tiny grand-daughter (in fact probably great-grand-daughter), aged about 3 or 4 (I am no good at guessing children’s ages) holding on to the woman’s skirts as our food and coffee were served to us (no point in having a buffet when only two people are breakfasting, of course). The huge breakfast gallery (in which we were still the only guests) overlooked the tempestuous sea breaking on the jagged rocks below. Shades of Rebecca…

  • Bail set by the the judge at Crown Court was unconditional;
  • The purported Internet/blog restriction was laid down by a Derbyshire police detective-sergeant and relates to the police bail granted in the evening vis-a-vis the latest malicious complaint made by (((  ))), not to the Crown Court proceedings;

Another interesting remark was, it seems, made by Prosecution Counsel to the judge at the Crown Court hearing, to the effect that, after he, Counsel for the Prosecution, sees whatever disclosure is made by the police and CPS, he himself might be minded to concede that there were no proper grounds for the prosecution.

If the above account is accurate, I am beginning to think that Alison Chabloz is on the home stretch here…

Update, 19 August 2020

As I predicted in the above update (of same date as, but later in time than, the original blog), the CPS decided in the end not to oppose Alison Chabloz’s appeal in the Crown Court. The CPS weaselled about how they still believed that her prosecution for breach was correct, but that in all the circumstances, the Crown would concede. They even brought in “Coronavirus”, the thick planks!

In reality, there is no way that the CPS wanted to admit that David Gauke (the then Justice Secretary), the CPS, and the privatiized probation monkeys (not to mention the police, including the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire, some thick Sikh) had been got at by the Jewish lobby. Result? Complete victory for Alison Chabloz. She and her Counsel did not even have to appear at Derby Crown Court; the matter was simply taken out of the list. Ha.

How Living in Goa for 5 Years Has Changed Me

I have never been there. I doubt that I would like it much.

I have lived in a number of countries in my life, from my own land, the UK (much of my life from 1956 to 2020); Australia (<3 years aged 10-13 in the late 1960s); USA (about 2 years altogether within the years 1989-1993 in New Jersey and New York City, and then, much later, shorter business and personal trips to South Carolina and Florida); France (4 years but commuting every couple of weeks to the UK); Kazakhstan (one year, 1996-1997); Rhodesia (part of 1977); Turkey (4-5 months altogether), Egypt (about 3-4 months altogether), the Eastern Caribbean (a few months). Shorter visits and holidays etc have been many and varied, from Moscow to Cayman, Liechtenstein to Alderney, Tunisia to Poland (where I spent a total of, probably, about 3 months in the late 1980s), North Cyprus to Qatar, among many others.

Now? I am too European —and maybe too advanced in years now— to live in countries controlled by non-Europeans (and to tolerate their dirt and disorganization).

Now Caroline Feraday is a single mother (no, not Lewis, apparently), and is living in a small house in an obscure Californian suburb, and working in an office, while Lewis himself, now living in Israel, was found to have sent a number of people obscene or offensive messages while, it was said in his defence (!), almost doolally on prescription drugs. Censured and fined by the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal in 2018, he was let off a heavier fine because having been, in effect, sacked by his law firm, the Tribunal heard that his only assets were his vulgar clothes, a pension worth £70 a week and a mobility scooter! Even his car was provided by the DWP, via the Motability scheme! The “top libel lawyer”…

Ha ha! Oh, yes, the voters of Redcar voted to support the Jews! That’s plausible (not)…

Anna Turley was known as completely pro-Israel etc, so why did the Redcar voters not support her and vote for her and so, via her, the Jews? (though I concede that it may just be that the Redcar electorate is composed of badly-educated plebs easily fooled by the Sun “newspaper”. I have never been there, so cannot say).

Still, good riddance!

I have blogged about this before, but it has now gone way beyond a joke when almost every single TV ad has to have a mixed-race couple (usually black man with white and often blonde woman) and usually mixed-race offspring. In fact, the situation now is worse even than it was when I blogged about that. It’s plainly a conspiracy, a kind of social engineering aimed at children and the young generally.
