So, again, who is hurt by sanctions against Russia? The consumers and taxpayers of western and central Europe. Not Russia or Russians. The gas produced in Russia will still be sold elsewhere in the world, and Russian citizens are, if anything, better off than they were before the sanctions were imposed.

Makes a million a year. Not bad for someone who, after an expensive private education, left Durham University with only a 2:2 in English.
I once had a girlfriend who opined that Durham University was where people study if they are from wealthy families but cannot get into Oxford or Cambridge. That was in relation to a barrister who was a friend of a couple she knew, someone with a very unusual name— something like “Mauleverer”.
In fact, I met said barrister when we attended a dinner party (not my favourite activity) in Blackheath in, I think, 1987 or thereabouts, at which that barrister was also a guest. I was a belated Bar School student at the time (though about 31). The barrister in question must have been 40-something, but in my opinion looked 50+.
The hostess was a charming blonde lady of Polish origins (but I think born in the UK), whose familiar name I forget and was something like Dushka (but not that). Her husband was a friendly chap who seemed amused by that barrister’s seemingly dog-like devotion to the hostess.
If truth be known, the barrister in question struck me as a bit of a nitwit, and I was told that the hostess later said to my girlfriend that I had given more of an impression of being a senior barrister than the said real senior barrister, despite my being ten years younger and a mere Bar student.
Well, perhaps my view was wrong, or at least superficial, because I believe that I read that the barrister in question was then or not long afterwards a silk (QC, now of course KC) and later became a commercial arbitrator and judge (I think in Hong Kong), as well as a trustee of one or two well-known institutions. So maybe he was not a nitwit, at least not entirely. Or maybe our social system rewards people from privileged backgrounds who make the right noises. Take your choice.

The flower of Ukrainian & Russian youth are dying in trenches, with no meaningful change in territory
Tweeter “Mido” needs to know that, without the almost endless arms, ammunition, money, medical supplies, and other aid (eg food) being channeled to the Kiev regime from the West, the war would stop in a matter of weeks, perhaps even days, and what is left of the Ukrainian state and society would simply cease to function, also in weeks or days. Even state benefits and pensions in Ukraine are now being underwritten by the NWO/ZOG states.
As for troops, the Kiev regime is already pressing into service all sorts of people hitherto exempt. Kiev is running out of cannon-fodder.
Never assume that progress, or civilization, or culture, cannot just stop, or be destroyed, or that society cannot fall into decadence, backwardness, and evil. In the UK, a gradual slide is happening right now, all around us, but most people are still blind to it.

“A furious mother took the fight against crime into her own hands and confronted ‘scumbag’ thieves this week, taking back a bike they had allegedly stolen after claiming that police officers ‘didn’t want to help.’
It comes as police forces are blasted for increasingly failing to tackle the crime that matters to ordinary people: petty thefts, mobile phone snatches and break-ins.
The emergency services are facing extraordinary pressures, and are taking as long as 18 hours to respond to 999 callouts such as burglaries and domestic incidents, data has shown.
The time taken to respond to ‘Grade Two’ incidents, in which there is no threat to life but the call is a ‘priority’ situation rose to four hours and 20 minutes on average in 2021, up from three hours just two years previously.
Britain’s police were warned to get back to basics earlier this month after a damning report found that public confidence in the service is ‘hanging by a thread’ due to their failures to tackle crime.
His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary Andy Cooke urged officers to stay out of political matters and stop intervening in Twitter spats, and instead focus on deterring and solving crime and disorder.“

Ah, so the worst performing force was Gloucestershire, the very same police force I now know to have been responsible for my having had to attend a “voluntary” (so-called) interview in Hampshire in 2021: see “Diary Blog, 15 January 2022“, above. Any policeman (whether from Gloucestershire or Hampshire) should have seen, before I said a word, that there was no shred of evidence against me. Still, when a Hampshire policeman spells “Gloucestershire” as “gloustishire“, in an official report, what can one expect?
I note also that the second-worst is apparently Derbyshire Police, the force which put out so much time and effort and “resources” (e.g. 3 policemen delivering one summons) in the persecution/prosecution of satirical singer Alison Chabloz.
Is there a lesson in there for the police of Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, and Hampshire?
Police! Do what H.M. Chief Inspector of Constabulary says— stop “monitoring” (snooping) on Twitter and socio-political blogs such as mine, and get back to where you once belonged, deterring and investigating (real) crime.

And here’s Kay Burley my friends. A nasty shameless trash
Trash “journalist” Kay Burley thinks it normal and even funny that politically-motivated persons within the banking industry can deprive a British citizen of essential banking services. She herself has evidently not considered why it is that people who are political dissidents are now being deprived of such services. Farage is far from being the only one.
Another manifestation of Britain’s gradual decline into a kind of fake “communitarian” police state, an unusual one where real crime is allowed to run unchecked, but political “crime” (e.g. noting Jewish behaviour online) is penalized.
Kay burley is worse than the politicians. She is the biggest hypocrite in tv. She sold her soul to the devil year's ago.

Sad that so many of our treasured institutions have been taken over by enemies of the British people. RNLI, National Trust, Oxfam (decades ago) etc.
I now read that the person who is the CEO of the RNLI gets £181,000 a year. In itself arguably OK, but people pay their donated pennies for real rescue work, not so that migrant-invader parasites can get a taxi service to the UK; also, most of the volunteers are not paid much and, sitting atop the chaos, a layer of “woke” swine are both spreading propaganda and facilitating migration-invasion, while receiving large unmerited salaries. Nein danke.
Late thoughts about the situation in France
I watched a few minutes of Sky TV coverage. The reporter persisted in calling the (mainly non-white) rioters “protesters“, which became actually ludicrous when she pointed out a sporting goods shop that had been looted of its weapons and ammunition, and said that the situation was now more difficult for the authorities because “the protesters” were now well-armed!
Then there is the usual msm propaganda covering up the fact that the rioters are overwhelmingly non-white. That happened over a decade ago in the UK, too, during the “shopping riots” sparked off by the death of yet another useless non-white criminal, that time in London.
What would I do, had I state power in France?
First, I should order the French police and Army to open fire on the rioters. Then again. Then again, repeated until the streets are cleared and all opposition crushed.
Secondly, I should put in place a programme to deport the unwanted inhabitants of the urban banlieues to French Guiana, the French part of South America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Guiana.

“The Home Office is planning to house hundreds of migrants in marquees across the country.

This brings the official number of migrant crossings this month to 3,303 in 68 boats – an average of 49 people crammed into each inflatable dinghy or other small craft.

“Iceland suspends annual whale hunt in move that likely spells end to controversial practice.
Decision comes after a government report found the hunt does not comply with Iceland’s Animal Welfare Act.
Iceland’s government has said it is suspending this year’s whale hunt until the end of August due to animal welfare concerns, a move that is likely to bring the controversial practice to an end.
Animal rights groups and environmentalists hailed the decision, with the Humane Society International calling it “a major milestone in compassionate whale conservation”.
Shocking video clips broadcast by the veterinary authority showed a whale’s agony as it was hunted for five hours.
The country has only one remaining whaling company, Hvalur, and its licence to hunt fin whales expires in 2023. Another company stopped for good in 2020, saying it was no longer profitable.
Iceland’s whaling season runs from mid-June to mid-September, and it is doubtful Hvalur would head out to sea that late in the season.

What now? Is there time (and the requisite high-level military support) for Putin to order a massive and unrestrained strategic missile attack (a last-ditch and bitter action to achieve battlefield victory) on Kiev, regardless of the Wagner Group situation? We have to just sit and wait to see.
Navigation on the Moskva river, which runs through the Russian 🇷🇺 capital Moscow, was temporarily suspended on Saturday amid a mutiny by the Wagner mercenary group, the state TASS news agency TASS reported, citing the authoritieshttps://t.co/Qg18KzpHCohttps://t.co/tcL4MsKyqF
Well, if Prigozhin actually topples Putin, then he follows in the tradition of Russian revolutionary leaders (and others) having (in the Russian word) “sat” in prison. Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky etc. They were there mainly for political crimes, though, whereas Prigozhin was imprisoned for crimes of acquisition: fraud, theft, robbery, burglary. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Prigozhin#Early_life. He did 9 years altogether.
Also, the conditions of confinement for the Bolshevik leaders were comfortable, once they arrived in Siberian exile. Houses in remote villages, not much restraint on their liberty, and Lenin was even allowed a hunting rifle with ammunition, as was, I think, Stalin!
Prigozhin’s 9 years of Soviet-era prison must have been far less easy. He’s a tough ex-con, among other things.
At any rate, it looks at present as if PMC Wagner is the Praetorian Guard of Russia now. Tomorrow? Maybe, maybe not— “tomorrow is another day“…

https://t.co/1OlfSsQwzn She survived the siege in part cause her family were theater set designers and always had plenty of carpenter’s glue lying around. During the worst times they smeared it on bread and ate it like jelly. Someone tell #JackMonroe.
Ha. If “Jack Monroe” were to eat glue, at least she might be unable to utter more lies. Well, it’s a thought…
All & any of which would equally testify as to my legitimacy & my intentions in the ongoing quest to expose Jack Monroe for the thief, liar & fraud that she is. I am sure that i can count on @frugally_minded to confirm that she knows my real name 4/.
“Jack Monroe” is still, as of today, being sent between £3.50 and £44 a month by each of 414 utter mugs. Thousands of pounds being sent to her monthly, in cash, and for absolutely nothing.
I cannot see Reeves successfully running a bath or even a corner shop, given the depth of financial competence & judgment needed to plan, run & rescue the sliding post-Tory Bexshit UK capitalist economy so it works sustainably again for the many as well as the few. So. GIGO.🇵🇸🇺🇦
If the opinion polls are correct, Labour may form the next government, but when people vote “Labour”, they are actually getting pro-Israel careerists and money-grubbers such as Rachel Reeves, who is little different, though possibly better-educated, than the likes of Iain Duncan Dunce Smith.
Labour is now just a label; some of its own MPs have said as much.

Slightly reminiscent of the staged “popular uprising” against Ceausescu in 1989. Not that it was not popular in the sense of many, probably most, Romanians liking it, but it was not popular in the sense that the “plebs” took an active part. It was a stage-managed thing, and many of those on the streets were aware of that. They knew that they were just “spear-carriers” in a show put on for the overseas and domestic TV audience.

Don't think I've ever seen Jack as "positive". All I see from her are snark, bullying and threats.
Poor people know more about cooking on a budget than a scrounging middle class grifter such as Jack Monroe. Poor people don't need condescending advice, they need money. Jack is called out for missing charity money, unfulfilled patreon subscriptions, and missing legal funds
It really is incredible how many people (at least on Twitter) think that saying “effing Tories” and making the right noises about the cost of living under them (with the assumption that fake “Labour” would be much much better, of course) constitutes something massive. As for those “recipes”, have you seen them? I should prefer bread and cheese, or just bread…
“Jack Monroe” is not the only one making a fairly good living out of Twitter “activism” of that sort. There are a number of others, e.g. “@supertanskiii”. Completely useless pseudo-activists who are basically “grifters” (at best).
That useless NIgerian parasite, “@FemiSorry”, is another one.
Her recipes are frequently debunked as inedible, unworkable or nutritionally devoid.
Its all an act from Jack Monroe, her entire back story falls apart at the lightest scrutiny, and she's been caught lying and grifting too many times to be credible.https://t.co/zM5NRDPC8P
The lack of real ideology (going beyond vague nationalism and fawning over replicas of pre-1917 Russianism such as the Orthodox Church) in Putin’s Russia worked only so long as there was relative peace and prosperity. Now, the peace and much of the prosperity has gone or is going, and hope with it, and that leaves a vacuum. Russians need more than bread alone.
Not so good this week, and in fact one of my worst-ever scores, 4/10, the same as political journalist John Rentoul. The only answers I knew were those to questions 5, 7, 8, and 10, and I was even uncertain about one or two of them..

Ukraine now is a failed state. In fact it is not really a state at all. It has scarcely any industry still functioning, its agriculture continues but soon will be unable to export, its population is declining via low birth rates, and about 20% of that population has fled to other countries. It cannot replace its Army personnel who are being killed in large numbers, and has had to resort to press-gangs pulling young men off the streets.
Now we see that even more money from the American taxpayer will be sent in order that Ukraine will be able to offer its citizens basic goods and services— water, food, medical help.
Without foreign arms, ammunition, and money (much of which money is stolen by the members of the Zelensky “government”), “Ukraine” as a quasi-state would almost immediately cease to exist. The war would end shortly thereafter.

Day 36 since the deadline to sue Lee Anderson expired. Rich poverty-cosplayer Jack Monroe @BootstrapCook lies & harasses those asking for refunds & transparency after taking 100s of 1,000s of donations for 1 year. 15 days ago she doxxed a creditor. 4d ago she didn’t show in court
“Jack Monroe” has obviously decided that she cannot simply refund cheated and actively-aggrieved donors in case the trickle of refund demands becomes a flood. She has therefore resorted once again to outright lies, now apparently even claiming to her hardcore mug followers that she has “successfully sued Lee Anderson” (or so many of said mugs believe). In reality, of course, she never sued the MP Lee Anderson (after a year, the time limitation barred action), and simply raised funds in order, ostensibly, to sue him, but then diverted those funds to her own use.
Why is “Jack Monroe” not being actively investigated by Essex Police? I know that that police force has been very busy seizing “racist” teddy bears from English people, but it might consider investigating some real crime as well.
If Jack Monroe is too sick and mentally unwell to answer basic questions about financial transparency and where money has gone then she’s too sick to be at events like @greenbelt and other engagements.
To hell with what “Jack Monroe” may or may not need. She should be being investigated on multiple allegations of fraud.
“Panicdemic”/”scamdemic”
Wonderful thread in which an historian uses their skills at evaluating evidence to 'clinically' deconstruct the appeal from 'Italian doctors' at the start of the pandemic. https://t.co/SI0jjGtb7i
— Mike Haynes – a Jobbing Leftie Historian (@JobbingLeftieH) June 17, 2023
The “panicdemic” started not because truly qualified scientists urged “lockdowns”, as well as the facemask nonsense and ludicrous other “measures” such as Boris-idiot’s “rule of six”, but because people not in any way qualified were promoting a panic agenda. One of the worst, of course, was the idiotic Professor Ferguson, member (why?) of “SAGE” (aka, for me, “DUMB”, the “Department Under Matt and Boris”); Ferguson trained in physics and statistics, not medicine.
Huge numbers of other specifically-unqualified persons added to the clamour for “stricter measures” etc— doctors who were just ordinary GPs, or specialists in other disciplines (eg psychiatry), and numerous “doctors” on Twitter, who on closer inspection turned out to be “doctors” of sociology, Trade Union Studies, criminology etc (if even those).
The results of the shutdown of society for ~2 years have been terrible: an enormous and continuing death toll, the NHS working even less efficiently, the economy facing severe and continuing downturn, the public facing harder and harder times; and so on.
Of course, the so-called “pandemic” was weaponized and used by Western governments (mainly), guided by transnational bodies such as the WEF, in order to introduce and test methods for the psychological control of mass populations. “The Great Reset” etc.
Imagine idiots like that thinking that “Jack Monroe” has somehow “beaten” Lee Anderson MP, when in fact she never even started a libel action against him, would have lost spectacularly had she done so, and has now slunk away even from attending the County Court matter in which she is the defendant, and in which one of the people she cheated via Patreon is the claimant (“plaintiff”, as was, years ago).
Stunning to consider that idiots of that type all have a vote…
Jack monroe is a horrible little grifter who exaggerated her situation & who took peoples kindness and used it to her own monetary advantage with evidence of wrongdoing, she is now doubling down & refusing to own up by using the “mental health” card as a way to deflect criticism
I hope that “grifter”/fraudster “Jack Monroe” does stop getting subsidized by (as of today) 413 utter mugs via Patreon, and that she really does fall to the point where she is living on State benefits alone. Let’s see then whether she can feed herself (as she claims) on about 33p a day (11p x 3) or (as she confusingly also claims) £20 a week (for 4 people, so £5 a week or 70p a day per person).
It’s all nonsense and lies, of course. “Jack Monroe” has thousands of pounds per month in cash via the Patreon grift/scam, and some other sources of income as well.
This woman is way beyond the age of protection afforded to children. There is a very fishy backstory to her nomination for a peerage, and I am amazed our national media are not rooting around to find out what it is.
I think that there is some kind of familial relationship; one certainly seems likely from her looks.
Really dubious and bad honour. @RishiSunak involving @RoyalFamily. Ironically Stanley Johnson would’ve been more deserving at least he has done good work all his life for the environment and conservation and protection of wild animals.

Well, this week brings another victory over political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 5/10, whereas I managed 8/10. I did not know the answer to question 2, and I could not think of the answer to question 3 even though I “really” knew it.
Some woman called Charlotte Owen, apparently once “assistant” to Boris Johnson, is to be likewise elevated, at the early age of 29. Does that reward merit, or supine mediocrity (or worse)? I wonder.
I notice that Ben Houchen, once seen as a potential political star, has likewise been elevated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Houchen. A consolation prize, I suppose, for losing out on a Parliamentary seat now that the fortunes of the Conservative Party are diving in the opinion polls. The same would have been true of Alok Sharma and, possibly, Nadine Dorries, had their peerages not been blocked. Sharma and Houchen would certainly not have been re-elected or elected, respectively.

One cannot expect loyalty or even basic decency from most people. When I was disbarred (wrongfully and actually unlawfully) in 2016, some 8 years after I had ceased Bar practice, and by reason of a malicious and contrived complaint by a pack of Jews, not one member of the Bar spoke up either to support me or to defend the principles of free speech and freedom of expression. The days of the free and fearless independent Bar of England have long gone. All that remains is a mass of craven careerists, fearful that “the authorities” (suborned by the Jew/Israel lobby) will look unfavourably upon them, and/or that Jewish solicitors will blackball them in terms of giving them work.

In 1953 Britain looked to a young woman, for a new age. In 2023 Britain was renewed in the face and body of an old man. Both, perhaps, felt quite fitting, for the moment.
The 1953 Coronation still had something somehow sacred about it, even if perhaps not 100% genuine. Compare that to the Coronation of the new Charles III. He looked uncertain, like someone —to use the current phrase— “cosplaying” the role; an actor in a poor production, an actor slightly miscast.
The bizarre thing about this is that all it can do is wound Sunak and the party overall. Resigning reduces the prospect of Sunak’s removal. There are fewer MPs to write letters. There’s no alternative candidate. No clear alternative strategy. Apparently, just bloodlust.

BBC should either have done better due diligence or taken these issues more seriously before giving her a platform. There are credible and serious unanswered questions about her dealings with money she has solicited from the public for more than one unfulfilled purpose
QT famously screens their audience heavily. So, one assumes, producers know who they’re booking as talking heads. Which begs the question — who does it serve to bring on someone as discredited & ill-informed as Jack Monroe?
Jack Monroe is a habitual liar, abusive narcissist and shameless grifter who has taken thousands in cash from donors then laughed about blowing it on drink drugs and sideboards.

Re. that second poll, for me it means that 10% of the UK population are direct enemies of our country and people, that 27% are non-Brits and/or enemies and/or completely stupid, that 13% are stupid or totally unaware or blind to what is happening all around them, but that about 49% or 50%, half of the entire population, are aware and perhaps angry. Well, this week I again managed to beat political journalist John Rentoul. I scored 6/10 as against his self-awarded five and a half. I did not know the answers to questions 3, 6, 7, and 10. I just missed the last one, thinking that it might be the cassowary [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassowary] (which can reach well over 6 feet in height). Apparently, though, that is only the third or fourth tallest bird.

Very true. So many people are misled by that kind of “Mrs Thatcher housewife’s shopping basket” economics. One would have thought that John Rentoul would know better, or is he just (as in days of Blair) parrotting the “centrist” Labour Party line?
As a former barrister (wrongfully and unlawfully disbarred in 2016 and not in actual Bar practice since 2008), I have applied a little thought to such questions.
My view is that sentencing has become absurd in the UK. While many defendants are certainly not given sufficient —or any— time in incarceration, despite having been convicted of very unpleasant offences, including crimes of very considerable violence, there is at the same time routine over-sentencing.
Many defendants are sentenced to, say, 5 years (for whatever), when 4 or 3 would be more than adequate (and, in terms of actual punishment, about the same).
At the same time, there are quite a few people incarcerated for no good reason at all, as in the recent free speech case of “Sven Longshanks” (James Allchurch), sentenced to 2.5 years for supposedly “inciting racial hatred” (he was convicted on 10 out of 15 charges). He will be in prison, probably, until 2024. Political “crime” in our “free country” (as was).
I am not going to do an entire study of this one, but take a look at the Wikipedia entry: mixed Indian heritage; failed, at an early stage, to continue with a law degree, despite having been, in part, privately educated; seems to be a lesbian or something similar; “elected” (selected) as MP at age 23; took “several months” off from her MP duties in 2021; “celebrated” the attacks on statues of English historical figures.
Another deadhead MP.
An example of her views:
Troubling to hear Esther McVey at #PMQs refer to Travellers as a “blight on the local community” just a day after #RomaniResistanceDay.
GRT people face a huge amount of discrimination. Such hateful language, and Tory laws criminalising their way of life, only contribute to it.

Mirabile dictu! Seems that Esther McVey has actually said something with which I can agree.
Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow will take into account, among its plans, the West's intention to supply Ukraine with F-16 aircraft
If it turns out that the Russian air force or ground forces cannot deal with the increasing influx of sophisticated weapons systems being supplied to the Kiev regime, the end result may be that the Russian leadership will decide to destroy both the bases of those aircraft and also any nearby urban areas.
As previously blogged, it should never have come to this. The invasion should have and could have been essentially over within a week, with Kiev taken, and Zelensky’s cabal eliminated or driven into exile.
While the G7 countries in Hiroshima are introducing anti-Russian sanctions and discussing support for Ukraine, China is deepening its cooperation with Moscow, writes the German newspaper "Spiegel".
In Bakhmut, one of the last fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed The so-called "Nest" is located on the outskirts – now completely destroyed, military correspondents report. pic.twitter.com/u7vVvqW12H
The small area still defended by Kiev-regime forces in Bakhmut/Artyomovsk is now 100 acres or so, about the same acreage as Kensington Gardens in London.
What always strikes me about the Israeli police response to any incident is how swift it is. Not one, but several, and often many, police, security agents, soldiers etc are on the scene quickly, usually in seconds, at least in the Old City of Jerusalem or in the central parts of Tel Aviv. Reminiscent of the quick reaction of the militia in Moscow in Soviet times, if there were any sort of public disorder. The Israelis must have huge numbers of police personnel.

In a well-known and probably (?) apocryphal saying, Lenin is supposed to have opined that “in order to destroy a nation, first destroy its currency“. I suppose that he could not have foreseen the possibility that a nation’s integrity, credibility, and soul could be destroyed by migration-invasion, an invasion not through feat of arms, but through the moral weakness and/or self-hate of the people of the invaded country itself (whipped up, as usual, by “them”, the “you know who” element). He would not have believed it possible.
I have blogged briefly about that silly “ho”, Clare Moseley, in the past. Like so many English people, perhaps especially women, who attach themselves to “anti-racist”-type causes (“refugees welcome”, anti-apartheid etc), intellect is limited, emotionalism uncontrolled, hypocrisy common, and both knowledge and experience of the subject-matter usually absent.
They usually have mental health “issues” as well. See also:

There is nothing wrong with being “antisemitic” anyway, and in the UK it is not a crime, despite what many ignorant Twitter types often tweet.
