I happened to see the two ridiculous tweets below:

So the often-heavily-criticized Jolyon Maugham [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jolyon_Maugham], a part-Jew barrister and “activist”, here supporting egregious and self-publicizing Jewish solicitor Mark Lewis, is applauded by one Charlotte Proudman, apparently a mainly academic lawyer and barrister who has attended or researched at no less than five universities in the UK and USA. I do not think that I had heard of her before today.

Ms. Proudman should read my blog posts, written several years ago about Lewis, before expressing an opinion:

So far from having been “grossly unfair“, as Ms. Proudman opines (having apparently read only a brief and one-sided scribble on the Legal Business online platform), the decision of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority [SRA] regarding Lewis was impeccably fair and, in punishing Lewis very leniently, bent over backwards to be fair. Even his small fine was reduced from £7,500 to £2,500 because his Counsel said on his behalf that Lewis (the ludicrously so-called “top lawyer“, if you believe the tabloid Press) owned no real property, and in fact owned nothing at time of the hearing in 2018 but his clothes, a private pension worth £70 a week, and a mobility scooter.

After the SRA hearing, Lewis took off for Israel, where he now lives.

Looking at what Lewis wrote online to various people, including a Jewish teenager, I was surprised that Lewis was not struck off the roll of solicitors.

I wonder whether Ms. Proudman thinks that the decision of the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal in my case was “grossly unfair“? I doubt it, even though I was both wrongfully, and actually unlawfully, disbarred (at the instigation of a pack of politically-motivated Jews) for having merely tweeted five (5) tweets, all of which were completely true and accurate: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

Incidentally, this (below) is the profile photograph of herself that Ms. Proudman seems to think appropriate to publish on her Twitter account (which profile describes her as a barrister etc):

i.e. “trans” persons, not “women“…

Polls of that sort are of course unscientific, and anything on Twitter more so, because of the well-known biases. All the same, it is clear that the present Government has run out of road. It is hitting as many buttons as possible to shore up at least the core Conservative-leaning vote: pledging to retain the pension Triple Lock, pledging to at least reduce net immigration (how about stopping the inward flow, and starting an outward flow?) etc, but it seems hopeless.

Actions speak louder than words. Something that the “Conservative” Party ministers and Prime Ministers of the past 13+ years seem not to understand. Mass immigration has continued unabated under Sunak and, as Chancellor, he also paused, for one year, the Triple Lock.

Ha. I like that.

Send that to Greta Nut.

This can probably only end one way, across Europe.

Many people in Germany want to get rid of those predators and scavengers, and to have a more contemporary version of the German Reich of the 1930s.

None of the System parties have anything to offer 90%+ of the real British people.

Quockerwodger“? A word I had never previously seen. What about that (((influential third party)))? What or who could that be?

Interesting gadget. Hope that the thieves who steal car keys from entrance hall tables do not find out about it, though (having said that, I doubt that many car thieves read my blog).

“Jack Monroe” is surely a busted flush. Even the utter mugs donating to her on Patreon are waking up: 396 as of today, the first time that the number has dropped below 400 (only a few days ago it was still 414). Last year, there were nearly 900 of those mugs, partly by reason of (now effectively withdrawn) endorsements by TV talking heads and cuisine “experts” Nigella Lawson and Jay Rayner (and others).

Still, 396 mugs each sending “Jack Monroe” between £3.50 and £44 monthly. As said previously, “not a bad little earner“, to use the Essex argot. Must still add up to at least a few thousand in cash. Monthly. For nothing.

If the fall continues, “Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook”, may have to either go on the dole or whatever again (she made a whole media career out of having done that once, for a year or so, a decade or more ago). Or perhaps her affluent/wealthy family of buy-to-let parasites, who live in the same area as her, will help her out. I doubt whether she would be employable as anything. I read somewhere that she has only had a couple of jobs (for short periods, and long ago), one arranged via her father, answering the telephones at the Essex fire brigade, the other in a fish and chip shop.

Sven Longshanks

A reminder that the appeal for Sven Longshanks (James Allchurch) is still up. The aim is to raise funds both to assist him while he still sits in prison (i.e. until early/mid 2024), and also to help him resettle once released.

Until today, I was unaware that Maugham no longer practises as a barrister in chambers (he specialized in tax law). Apparently, he left his last chambers in 2020.

Look at that twit.

I have seen tweets saying that Maugham is a “grifter”, living off donations to the Good Law Project. I have no idea whether that be so, and I also note that the GLP is supported by not only individual donations but also large grants from several well-known trust funds, not least that of the rather odd Rausing people (the descendants of the man who invented Tetrapak in Sweden); they also give or have given money to the mainly Jewish “Hope not Hate” crowd.

How much Maugham pays himself (in effect) as Director of the GLP I have no idea (and the website of the GLP is silent on the subject).

I remember seeing Maugham on a “celebrity” episode of University Challenge. He stood out from the rest as combining a very-obviously huge opinion of himself with equally-huge ignorance of almost everything. Very funny.

I have no idea how well (or not) Jolyon Maugham was regarded as a tax barrister, before he launched “Woke Law Project”, but it gives pause for thought how many cases “GLP” has lost or not “won”.

As for Maugham being a KC, these days about 10% of all barristers hold letters patent as KC; it is not the accolade it once was. At one time, only a few barristers a year were made up to KC or QC; now dozens are.

“Jack Monroe” may not have ordered or asked for the above harassment to happen, but she is all the same behind it in the wider sense. She “doxxed” (revealed publicly the address of) the person involved, and she knows very well that her most fervent supporters are often those with mental health problems (as well as the very dim). In other words, she lit the blue touchpaper.

I myself have not yet read this instantly-infamous email, though I think that I can guess at least a little of what is in it.

Incidentally, Osborne is yet another part-Jew.

So many people assume that because one enemy of the people has “Conservative” on the label, and another “Labour“, that they are not both part of the System together, or are somehow “opposed”. Only superficially.

Exactly. Give a poor man £1 and he will almost certainly spend it, and have to spend it. Give £1 to a rich man and he will either bank it or buy a hedging asset (eg over-valued real property) with it.

Will such places one day be resettled, or will they stand forever as ruined testament to the horrors of war? I wonder.

Where is that? Chatham House, I think.

Thousands of village halls across Britain are facing closure because they do not comply with new anti-terrorism legislation introduced after the Manchester Arena atrocity.

Jobsworths are insisting that venues of all sizes have to implement strict security measures, including training and evacuation plans.

[Daily Mail].

How depressing, and how typical of what this country has become.

Essex, again. Just like that other online “grifter” and fake, “Jack Monroe”.

So “Supertanskiii” was at Glastonbury, where tickets cost £340 minimum? Seems that ranting pointlessly on Twitter etc against this admittedly incompetent “Conservative” government, while begging for donations, is fairly lucrative, though she claims that she was “booked to perform” at some kind of fringe event at Glastonbury. As what, another one-trick pony?

So maybe she did not have to buy a ticket. I have no idea.

Of course, many, perhaps most, of the “antifascist”and other ranting fanatics on Twitter are not quite normal mentally.

No-one, I see, has suggested that that Glastonbury “mental health” incident might have been invented, inflated and/or exploited as a “grifting” opportunity (in the manner of “Jack Monroe”). Who knows?

My own visit to the Kremlin, in 1993, was less formal. I paid my (?)20 roubles (in the money of 1993) and bought tourist entry, together with entry to the Kremlin churches (some shown in that tweet), which were very interesting (I was the only visitor to the churches then, probably because it was early in the day, about 0900 hours, and I had been one of the first “tourists” into the Kremlin).

[Kremlin from the air]

I was the second tourist visitor into the Kremlin that sunny day in the early summer of 1993, and would have been first had a Russian family not got ahead of me as I slept in the sun, sitting on a wall by the not-yet-open ticket kiosk, and having already done an hour of hard swimming at the almost-empty huge open-air swimming pool “Moskva” in Kropotkinskaya (now replaced by a replica of the cathedral that was on the site prior to the 1930s).

[Swimming-pool “Moskva”, 1970s, near Metro-station Kropotkinskaya]

Looking today at the website below, I see that the little wooden ticket kiosk (with its typically Soviet inconvenient little ticket-window about 5 feet from ground-level) is now no more, replaced by a large ultra-modern ticketing hall, tickets also being available online (something of course not dreamt-of in 1993).

“Supertanskiii” is sort-of similar to the “Jack Monroe” “grift” but, unlike “Jack Monroe”, she does not even pretend to offer “recipes” looking like mixed-up dog food, or indeed to offer anything at all beyond a continual “f*** the Tories” Twitter rant. Incredibly, though, some mugs are actually willing to chuck donations at her for that.

When you see the sort of utter mugs that send money to “Jack Monroe” or “Supertanskiii”, you start to understand part of why this country is in such a mess, at least in places and in aspects. Too many mugs. This has nothing to do with the blacks, browns, Jews etc. These are all or 99.99% white British people who imagine themselves to be well-meaning or at least “progressive”. Not the same mugs who support “Boris”-idiot, far from it, but on the same sort of unthinking level.

The same sort of “mug-dom” is seen in those who imagine that replacing Indian money-juggler Sunak with Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer is going to change everything for the better. Wake up.

Saturday quiz

Well, this week brings another victory over political journal John Rentoul. I scored 7/10 as against his 4/10. I did not know the answers to question 5 (actually, I “hit the post” with the name), or questions 6 and 9, and I pretty much guessed numbers 3 and 7, if truth be known.

From the newspapers

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12227635/Border-Force-intercepts-3-000-migrants-month.html

The Home Office is planning to house hundreds of migrants in marquees across the country.

The government’s plans come as today it was revealed that the number of Channel crossings by people in small boats so far this month is now higher than the number for June last year.

According to official figures, 312 asylum seekers were intercepted in eight boats by UK officials yesterday.

[“Intercepted“? You mean “ferried to the UK”].

This brings the official number of migrant crossings this month to 3,303 in 68 boats – an average of 49 people crammed into each inflatable dinghy or other small craft.

More people thought to be migrants arrived in Dover earlier today as people smugglers took advantage of the weather of low winds and no rainfall.

Border Force vessel Ranger was spotted this afternoon patrolling the 21-mile Dover Straits after dropping a group of migrants at the port.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/21/iceland-suspends-annual-whale-hunt-in-move-that-likely-spells-end-to-controversial-practice

Iceland suspends annual whale hunt in move that likely spells end to controversial practice.

Decision comes after a government report found the hunt does not comply with Iceland’s Animal Welfare Act.

Iceland’s government has said it is suspending this year’s whale hunt until the end of August due to animal welfare concerns, a move that is likely to bring the controversial practice to an end.

Animal rights groups and environmentalists hailed the decision, with the Humane Society International calling it “a major milestone in compassionate whale conservation”.

Shocking video clips broadcast by the veterinary authority showed a whale’s agony as it was hunted for five hours.

The country has only one remaining whaling company, Hvalur, and its licence to hunt fin whales expires in 2023. Another company stopped for good in 2020, saying it was no longer profitable.

Iceland’s whaling season runs from mid-June to mid-September, and it is doubtful Hvalur would head out to sea that late in the season.

Annual quotas authorise the killing of 209 fin whales – the second-longest marine mammal after the blue whale – and 217 minke whales, one of the smallest species. But catches have fallen drastically in recent years due to a dwindling market for whale meat.

[The Guardian].

At last. Good news.

…but why call her (“Jack Monroe”, alias Melissa Hadjicostas) “they“? It’s not “their silence” but “her silence”. Proper English.

Jack Monroe is an out and out fraud.

Is that so? Truth or speculation? I do not know at present.

Thinking ahead, what happens if the present Russian Government is toppled? What replaces it? Would that be one willing to (in effect) surrender to the NWO/ZOG cabals, or one willing to really take the fight to Zelensky in Kiev?

Nothing firm is known as yet.

Truth is, of course, the first casualty. Speculation abounds, and of course the “usual suspects” are stirring everything, as are other pro-Zelensky tweeters.

I imagine that even the Russian overseas diplomatic missions do not know what is going on, not even the SVR and GRU.

Again, who he? I have no idea. Is he a Wagner operator, or merely someone pretending to be one? If it is true (as claimed by many on Twitter) that official checkpoints are merely waving Wagner units through without check or opposition, then that mirrors what happened in previous Russian upheavals, from the Yeltsin and Gorbachev eras right back to the two Russian revolutions of 1917.

What now? Is there time (and the requisite high-level military support) for Putin to order a massive and unrestrained strategic missile attack (a last-ditch and bitter action to achieve battlefield victory) on Kiev, regardless of the Wagner Group situation? We have to just sit and wait to see.

Well, if Prigozhin actually topples Putin, then he follows in the tradition of Russian revolutionary leaders (and others) having (in the Russian word) “sat” in prison. Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky etc. They were there mainly for political crimes, though, whereas Prigozhin was imprisoned for crimes of acquisition: fraud, theft, robbery, burglary. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Prigozhin#Early_life. He did 9 years altogether.

Also, the conditions of confinement for the Bolshevik leaders were comfortable, once they arrived in Siberian exile. Houses in remote villages, not much restraint on their liberty, and Lenin was even allowed a hunting rifle with ammunition, as was, I think, Stalin!

Prigozhin’s 9 years of Soviet-era prison must have been far less easy. He’s a tough ex-con, among other things.

At any rate, it looks at present as if PMC Wagner is the Praetorian Guard of Russia now. Tomorrow? Maybe, maybe not— “tomorrow is another day“…

I just noticed that one of my first few blog posts, from late 2016, got a couple of hits today. I still think that the topic, the “tipping-point”, is one well-worth examination: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2016/12/27/tipping-points-in-politics-and-life/.

Are they wrong about Rachel Reeves? I think not. I have examined and assessed her briefly a few times on the blog: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2021/05/10/diary-blog-10-may-2021-with-thoughts-about-rachel-reeves-and-the-floundering-labour-party/; https://ianrobertmillard.org/2023/05/23/diary-blog-23-may-2023/.

If the opinion polls are correct, Labour may form the next government, but when people vote “Labour”, they are actually getting pro-Israel careerists and money-grubbers such as Rachel Reeves, who is little different, though possibly better-educated, than the likes of Iain Duncan Dunce Smith.

Labour is now just a label; some of its own MPs have said as much.

Alarming.

Slightly reminiscent of the staged “popular uprising” against Ceausescu in 1989. Not that it was not popular in the sense of many, probably most, Romanians liking it, but it was not popular in the sense that the “plebs” took an active part. It was a stage-managed thing, and many of those on the streets were aware of that. They knew that they were just “spear-carriers” in a show put on for the overseas and domestic TV audience.

It really is incredible how many people (at least on Twitter) think that saying “effing Tories” and making the right noises about the cost of living under them (with the assumption that fake “Labour” would be much much better, of course) constitutes something massive. As for those “recipes”, have you seen them? I should prefer bread and cheese, or just bread…

“Jack Monroe” is not the only one making a fairly good living out of Twitter “activism” of that sort. There are a number of others, e.g. “@supertanskiii”. Completely useless pseudo-activists who are basically “grifters” (at best).

That useless NIgerian parasite, “@FemiSorry”, is another one.

True or bluff? I have no information (reliable information) at all.

The lack of real ideology (going beyond vague nationalism and fawning over replicas of pre-1917 Russianism such as the Orthodox Church) in Putin’s Russia worked only so long as there was relative peace and prosperity. Now, the peace and much of the prosperity has gone or is going, and hope with it, and that leaves a vacuum. Russians need more than bread alone.

Looks as though a deal has been struck somewhere behind the scenes.

Research by the Conservatives has suggested Sir Keir Starmer’s controversial expansion of the electorate would be sufficient to swing every general election.

It would include 3.4million European Union nationals who had lived in the UK before Brexit and obtained ‘settled status’, along with 2.7million more who have been here for less than five years.

Migration invasion

We know what will probably have to happen in the end, but if we print it, or say it publicly, we face prosecution on some kind of faked-up toytown police-state basis.

“Jack Monroe”

I have blogged quite a bit about “Jack Monroe” over the past 8 months.

“Jack Monroe” has been defrauding or otherwise cheating the public for at least a decade.

As I predicted (on the blog) would happen or, rather, not happen, there never was a libel case launched or even formally started against Lee Anderson or Martin Daubney.

Mark Lewis, the Israel-based Jewish lawyer once retained by “Jack Monroe” in another (rather simple) matter years ago, has not even emerged from his kennel in relation to the Lee Anderson non-case.

In other words, crazed “Monroe” simply made up the “libel case” and used it as yet another opportunity to extract money from mugs such as “@jdpoc” (see below).

Incidentally, Dan Wootton calls “Jack Monroe” a “celebrity chef”. Too kind. She is scarcely even a cook, let alone a “chef”. Her food mostly looks like a dog’s dinner and, from what I have read, largely consists of pasta with a bit of cheap sauce on it. She has never been trained as a “chef” or even a cook, as is abundantly obvious from the photos and recipes she used to post online.

“Celebrity”? I suppose, though only in a very minor way, and years ago. She is now pretty irrelevant, and real chefs now offer real budget food online, or in the Press.

The sort of people who regard “Jack Monroe” as a positive force rather than a lying “grifter” are the same sort that used to enthuse, desperately, about the Big Issue being a “really good magazine” rather than just a virtue-signalling bore that people (including me) might buy just as an act of charity.

That “John O’Connell”/”@jdpoc” tweeter is yet another professed “antifascist” with (admitted) mental problems. The idiot used to tweet occasionally, with one or two similarly-“odd” others, against me.

I find it puzzling that, even now, some of the more stupid or “woke” scribblers in the msm continue to promote lying “grifter”/fraud “Jack Monroe”. I also find it odd that the police have not investigated her (as far as I know) for criminal fraud. A black woman is facing trial at Bristol for, allegedly, having crowdfunded for a legal case which never happened, and she having then, or so it is alleged, kept the money for herself

Why is the black woman on trial, but Greek Cypriot sort-of “white” woman, “Jack Monroe” (b. Melissa Hadjicostas) is not? Is it “cos the Bristol woman is black“, in the adapted words of “Ali G”? Or is it because “Jack” has so many “woke” and/or LGBTQXYZ friends in the mainstream media?

Almost everything about “Jack Monroe” is fake: her biography (as recounted by herself), her background, her circumstances, her food, her way of life, her “grifting” and moneygrubbing, you name it…

EU economic sanctions mean that Russia cannot import food products from the EU. Result? Russia simply and quite easily produces the foodstuffs itself. Check.

Exactly. As I have blogged previously, Russia, with its huge landmass (72x the size of the UK), diverse climatic zones, and scientific capabilities, can easily create an autarky.

On the front line with the “musicians”.

I wonder how “secret” are those secrets?

Do not forget “the men behind the wire”.

I have no idea whether the above details are correct. If they are, persons wishing to help “Sven Longshanks” (James Allchurch) out a little can send him money, using the official channel: https://www.gov.uk/send-prisoner-money.

The same details, if accurate, can be used to send cards, letters or books to “Sven Longshanks”. The address of that prison is:

HMP Swansea
200 Oystermouth Road
Swansea
SA1 3SR.

I shall be looking for confirmation of the contact details on Twitter.

n.b. Books sent to UK prisons should be paperback only, new, not used, and shipped from suppliers such as Amazon (but different prisons have different policies; some accept Amazon, some do not; if an Amazon delivery cannot be completed, you will be credited with the money after a week or two).

Israel as a state was founded on ethnic cleansing, theft, outright murder etc. “They” always try to pose as “victims”, even while committing criminal acts. Not only in the Middle East, either.

Interesting.

The real hard-line Jews now often tend to be those who, while loudly supportive of Zionism and Israel, do not want to live there. A holiday in Tel Aviv once a year is enough for them, rather like the pilgrimage to Mecca of many Muslims (though the analogy is hardly exact— most Muslims would not be allowed to live in Saudi Arabia anyway, and their religion does not have that as its ideal).

The screeching Jew-Zionist fanatics of London, New York and elsewhere mostly obsess about “antisemitism” on Twitter, or on blogs such as mine, rather than going to “settle” in Israel/Palestine.

In the old saying, “old sins cast long shadows“.

Not very long ago, the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” in the UK was given over £600,000 by wealthy Jews, many donating anonymously. From where did that money originate? I do not know. The evil “CAA” cabal is now using that money to attack free speech in the UK. Their methods are sometimes called “lawfare”, i.e. the abuse of law, the police, the CPS, and the justice system generally for malicious and/or political motives.

The West’s democracy is failing at least partly because, in many states, including the UK, the so-called “democracy” is a fake. In any case, we talk about “democracy”, but what does the term mean anyway? See my discussion at https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/15/has-parliamentary-democracy-as-we-have-known-it-until-now-had-its-day-in-the-uk/.

Don’t forget births to that foreign contingent. Over 20 years, how many more millions?

Look at that idiot. Typical of many MPs; so many are, basically, uncultured nobodies these days, without intellect, without culture, without background.

Here he is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_Clarke-Smith.

Clarke-Smith was born in Clifton, Nottingham in 1980. He grew up on a council estate in Nottingham and was the first member of his family to go to university, studying politics at Nottingham Trent University and later gaining a PGCE in religious education. He became a teacher at an International School in Romania.”

[Wikipedia]

So below mediocre, really…

I think that the MP for Bassetlaw will be an MP for not much longer. He will then have to return to teaching, if anyone will give him a job (or he can live off the earnings of his Romanian wife, an NHS doctor, apparently).

In the old German saying, “put a beggar on a horse and he will ride it to death“…

Hancock deserves a good kicking, for several reasons.

Russia must race ahead to create as much of an autarky as is convenient in a short time.

The “musicians” play on through the night…

The more the USA, UK, other NATO states ratchet up the war by providing ever-more powerful weapons systems to the Kiev regime, the more likely it is that cold logic will eventually dictate that the Russian side will simply flatten the major cities of Ukraine and the bases and airfields from which such planes fly.

If Sweden were ever hit by a nuclear missile, say on Stockholm, that would be the end of Sweden, as a state of even marginal importance, for a century or more. Having said that, the way Sweden is going demographically, a nuclear strike on Stockholm just might result in no deaths of (real) Swedish people at all!

I like that! Looks really useful.

Can you believe that that cretin was ever a British Cabinet Minister? He comes across as the very personification of a mid-life crisis. Or possibly as a parody of one, on a TV comedy sketch show.

Having said that, look at a small selection of other idiots who have been Cabinet ministers in recent years— Liz Truss, Woollyhead Trussbanger (aka Kwasi Kwarteng), Gavin Williamson [see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/02/deadhead-mps-an-occasional-series-the-gavin-williamson-story/], James Cleverly, Priti Patel, Iain “Dunce” Duncan Smith etc. Not to mention one “Boris”-idiot.

We must never forget “the men behind the wire”.

This looks hopeful, on the face of it. Kennedy is all for taking away the ricebowl of the Kiev regime. At the same time, Biden is very clearly mentally unfit to continue in his office.

Economic sanctions

Economic sanctions either do not work at all or have unexpected consequences. When I visited Rhodesia in 1977, aged 20, I half-expected to see a country weighed down by sanctions imposed by the UN. What I found was a country where those who owned cars mostly drove quite new ones. The UK complied with the sanctions regime, but France, Germany, Japan etc did not, judging by the cars seen on the road. Outside the capital, Salisbury (now Harare), though, there were often empty roads— one sanction that did have an effect was that on fuel, which was rationed.

I noticed that books were hard to get. The main bookshop (I was told it was the main one) in Salisbury had few if any serious books (and none of my then-favourite Penguin Classics), but plenty of books from South Africa, most seemingly (my perception, anyway) about how to take care of your horse/dog/cat/tropical fish. You could buy Wilbur Smith adventures, another South African import [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilbur_Smith]. Also, no American or British news and current events magazines, no Time, Newsweek, Spectator etc. Rather poor South African magazines such as Scope were available. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scope_(magazine).

The dearth of serious reading material was probably the result of both sanctions and the disinclination of most Rhodesians to spend time on intellectual pursuits even of a superficial nature.

As to other effects of the sanctions regime against Rhodesia, imported booze (from Europe or North America) was almost unobtainable, but that did not affect me personally during my time there, because my main drink, apart from water and orange juice, was beer, and the local product was of high quality (Lion Lager or Simba, pronounced “Shumba“, or South African Castle Pilsner, my favourite).

The Rhodesians tried to get around sanctions by diversifying, producing admittedly inferior substitutes for previously imported products. Everything from chocolate to whisky, and even some firearms. I remember seeing ads in the local press for a highly inaccurate submachinegun called the Rho-gun. I seem to recall that the price was about $290 (Rhodesian dollars, not exchangeable outside the country officially, though I did manage to sell quite a few —at a poor exchange rate— to a businessman in Gaborone, Botswana, after I left Rhodesia).

See: https://guns.fandom.com/wiki/BHS_Rhogun and https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/Rhogun. For sale to (white) Rhodesians with the appropriate permit. The Rhodesian military had far better arms, mostly either from South Africa or from elsewhere (and pre-dating UDI Independence from the UK). [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodesia%27s_Unilateral_Declaration_of_Independence]. See also: https://www.nytimes.com/1977/01/03/archives/travelers-get-armed-guard-on-a-road-vital-to-rhodesia.html.

I noticed that “white goods” such as refrigerators, icemaking machines etc were very expensive, whereas locally-produced food such as oranges, nuts, and biltong (meat, often beef or antelope, dried in the sun) etc was not too expensive.

As for exports (supposedly impossible under the UN sanctions regime), the Rhodesians were able to export minerals and some fruit etc. Years later, I discovered that the Soviet Union, one of the states pressing for harder sanctions against Rhodesia (and South Africa) had in fact been secretly buying Rhodesian exports (at a substantial discount). Chromium and other minerals, and Mazoe oranges (sold in the Soviet Union as “Chinese”, apparently). All shipped out of Mozambique.

Tobacco was another prime export, sold on world markets by a sanctions-busting operation based, I think, in Rotterdam.

The idea that Russia will be “brought to its knees” by economic sanctions is a pipe-dream. In fact, such sanctions help Russia in a “be cruel to be kind” way. They force Russia to diversify, and to improve agriculture and horticulture. The sanctions have also forced Russia to create new trading links, and to strengthen existing ones.

Unless a true movement can emerge in the UK and mainland Europe pretty rapidly, that must be correct.

Exactly.

In 2016, one of the five tweets that got me disbarred, at the instigation of two connected packs of Jews, was that describing Sarkozy —accurately, except that he is not a full Jew, only part— as “a corrupt little Jew“. Well, scroll on 6-7 years and here we are…

Incidentally, my disbarment was both wrongful and actually unlawful: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

Another of the five supposedly “grossly offensive” tweets posted by me, as a result of which I was unlawfully disbarred, was that describing snivelling cocaine user and drunk, Gove, as corrupt, as a fraudster and as a freeloader, and also as being in the pocket of the Israel/Jewish lobby.

Well, any argument on that now?

Look at the above news report. Speculators and parasites are favoured by Gove’s latest policy U-turn. Not all are Jews (and not all Jews are speculators and/or parasites) but, at the same time…

So, of the five “offensive” tweets, turns out that, in fact, two were undoubtedly —and now provably— simple true statements of fact, as were also (in reality) the other three tweets in question.

Corbyn was not even decently “antisemitic”, despite the constant (((whine))) about him. In general, a complete idiot.

700,000 immigrants last year. That’s “net”, meaning maybe a million entered but 300,000 (mainly real British people going to Australia, NZ, Canada etc) left.

Britain as a dustbin.

As, I think, Lord Green of Deddington said in the Lords recently, that amount of immigration means that, just to stand still, Britain requires 300 new dwellings every single day!

Horrible little blots such as Tom Harwood are now showing tiny bits of the Green Belt as scruffy here and there. The exceptions that prove the rule— the Green Belt must be saved and, yes, improved.

Starmer can now, I hope, kiss goodbye to his desired Commons majority in 2024. Much as I want rid of the “Conservatives”, Starmer-Labour is now showing its hand…and it is looking even worse.

It has nothing much to do with “dream of home ownership“. In any case, who wants to own a concrete or brick box in a hellhole landscape, and in which “neighbourhood” your “neighbours” may well be persons of backward culture not long off the boat (literally)?

Is that an honest poll? I wonder. Of course, the public has had 1-2 years of brainwashing or conditioning.

I wonder whether the results might have been different had the question made the point that if Ukraine joins NATO and has a war with Russia, it will be mandatory for all NATO states to join in. That is to say, it would be mandatory to join in a war against Russia which would almost certainly either be or become nuclear.

I suppose that, even were the question to elucidate the situation to the people asked, a few lunatics would still want to fight Russia, but most might think that the utter destruction of their homes and whole way of life would be a high price to pay for supporting “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime)…

Starmer still no more popular than Sunak, give or take a couple of points. Both stupid wasters unpopular with 60%-69% of the voters.

I daresay that, in a month’s time, once people realize that Starmer wants to continue to import millions of unwanted migrant-invaders, and destroy what is left of the still-beautiful English countryside so that millions of hutches can be built to house them, the popularity of Starmer —and so, Labour— will fall further yet.

The whole two-party system (with LibDem/dustbin add-on) is very ingrained. It is, in itself, a potent form of conditioning or brainwashing.

Thoughts

Thinking about that visit to Rhodesia in 1977: many people imagine that a collapsing society looks like Germany in 1945 (or 1923). Not so. I was in Poland (several times) in 1988 and 1989; also, in the DDR/East Germany, and Czechoslovakia.

The whole socialist system fell apart in late 1989. Yet the police still patrolled, the borders were maintained and guarded (until the Berlin Wall fell), utilities still worked, and there were few political demonstrations, let alone riots or the like. Letters continued to be delivered. Shops remained open, even if they had little to sell in some cases. The seismic changes were about to happen, but there were only slight external signs of that.

One got a sense of considerable discontent, talking to people in Poland and Czechoslovakia (on those visits and elsewhere as well), but the surface normality prevailed. The police still functioned, even in Poland (I myself picked up two tickets for, in the American phrase, “jaywalking”, i.e. crossing the road at the wrong place). Fined on the spot…twice. A recidivist.

Turning from those situations to the UK, there often seems to be little public appetite for swift political change. Frustrating for many of us.

We have seen, over 20 years, almost uncontrolled mass immigration (including, now, direct migration-invasion in small boats across the Channel, thousands of the bastards per day), crushing “austerity” for the poorer half of the society, ridiculous policies about the “Covid” “panicdemic” etc, an inability of Government to supply (directly, or via the private and/or third sectors) services vital to the people (such as trains, road repair, NHS or other healthcare, social care for various groups). Also, a failure to guard our borders, and a failure to clamp down on real crime (theft, drug abuse, social nuisance etc)., while kow-towing to Jewish/Zionist pressure re. social media non-crime.

Now we see idiots such as Ann Widdecombe criticizing parents who cannot afford to feed their children cheese sandwiches, while pumping billions out to “Ukraine” (the Jewish regime in Kiev) and to house and feed unwanted nuisances who have arrived via unauthorized Channel crossings.

Talk to people, and you get a sense of weary resignation in them, rather than anger, though that may also be there, under the urbane English exterior.

Still, there is everything yet to play for. The NSDAP vote in Germany was only 2.6% in 1928. Events happened, and the NSDAP triumphed only 4-5 years later.

From the newspapers

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/may/17/online-estate-agent-purplebricks-sold-charles-dunstone-strike

Purplebricks, the once high-flying online estate agent that reached a peak valuation of more than £1.3bn, has been sold to Charles Dunstone-backed rival Strike for £1 with all of its more than 750 staff put at risk of redundancy.

Purplebricks launched in 2014 and received early backing from Neil Woodford, the former star stockpicker. It floated on London’s junior market, Aim, in December 2015.”

[The Guardian].

Another example of the madness of crowds, and the madness of finance-capitalism, though I concede that there are arguments to the contrary.

Remember Lastminute.com? The newspapers boosted that simple and actually not very clever idea, made an entitled/privileged and silly woman (and her Jewish business partner) incredibly wealthy in the speculative scramble, but it ended with the small shareholders all wiped out; cheated, in reality.

The woman was even elevated to the Lords by David Cameron-Levita. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lastminute.com and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Lane_Fox.

The only thing that can be said is that at least most of those small shareholders lost only a few hundred pounds, if that, their share allocations having been very small.

Lastminute is still, I think, trading, technically. I tried to use the booking service once, about 20 years ago. Useless.

As to Purplebricks, looks as if many shareholders are now left with the value of their shareholding being worth little more than 1% of the peak valuation.

This week, I scored 7/10, thus again beating political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 5/10. I did not know the answers to questions 1, 6, and 7.

Inexorably, the war moves towards total war. The Russian side cannot tolerate forever the continual escalation.

Ukraine (Kiev-regime) is running out of soldiers. One can see why.

Hard for the Jews (in Israel) to continue to present themselves as perennial “victims” when advanced jet aircraft supplied by or paid for by the American taxpayer mercilessly attack Arab real victims, who have no means of self-defence at all.

Comment about Starmer’s latest speech. I agree with the extract quoted by Rentoul but, having said that, one could say that “Labour” is no longer “socialist” or even broadly “social” (politically) and is (just like the “Conservatives”) also completely out of touch.

Both System parties, and both entirely in the pocket of the Jewish-supremacist lobby.

Import the uncivilized non-white world (and allow the non-whites to breed prolifically, and also fail to control them) and you import these sorts of social problems.

Not that all such problems are caused by non-whites, but most are. About 90%, even though the non-whites are “only” about 20% of the UK population, and about 40%-50% (?) of the London population.

The Eastern European states, and the poorer EU states generally, love the EU for its financial largesse, the redistribution of wealth from the “old EU” to the “new EU”. Ireland, the Baltic states, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, etc. For the larger, longer-membership, western and central European states, the wealthier ones, the EU is disastrous. UK (until recently), France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands; also Sweden, Denmark etc.

There is also the problem of non-white migration-invasion.

The original EEC/EC was not so bad — relaxed trade and travel, even relatively easy residence and work—. It worked because the original EEC populations were closely-related northern European nations, and because it was primarily a trading bloc, not an ever-expanding political project.

There was no non-white migration-invasion, because Libya under Gaddafi, Morocco, and Algeria all stopped Africans from coming across the Mediterranean; also, the NWO had not yet destabilized the Middle East and Afghanistan. Even the Roma Gypsies were “imprisoned” behind the so-called “Iron Curtain” until 1989, and so unable to travel to the UK and other parts of Western Europe.

In the long-term, perhaps even medium-term, Israel is doomed.

The “musicians” are still playing.

Britain’s compensation bill for victims killed or maimed by AstraZeneca‘s Covid jab could theoretically exceed £1billion, MailOnline can reveal.

Around 90 families are currently pursuing legal action against the pharmaceutical titan, claiming the jab was essentially a defective product.

Lawyers representing the claimants believe that some of the cases could be worth up to £20m in compensation, which is roughly 160 times more than the £120,000 Government support available. They hope to be able to prove that the vaccine was to blame in court.

I think that many people, even today, will be honest if they find a purse or wallet. In the past few years, I myself have found two or three. One was a kind of wallet I happened to see in a clifftop parking place. I was there, unusually, early one morning, not long after dawn. I saw the item in the half-light, was curious, so went to pick it up.

The wallet contained about £50 in cash, I think also a debit card, a couple of other bits and pieces, and a student railcard in the name of some girl.

I went home, thinking that the girl must be fairly local, in view of the station which had issued the railcard, only about 8 miles from that car park. Her surname was unusual, so I called the few telephone numbers (landlines) with the same name. Only one answered. An old lady, so no-go.

In the end, I drove to the local police station (its desk manned by an old fellow, a civilian support person) and gave in the wallet. I made the point that there was a large college near the rail station which issued the card, so the girl was almost certainly one of the students there.

I hope that the girl got back her money and the rest. As for what a young girl aged 16-18 was doing in a clifftop car park and (presumably) after dark, and how she managed to lose her wallet, maybe it is better not to speculate…

The second wallet was larger, newer, and packed with both money and cards (an incredible number, literally dozens, neatly and individually carefully tucked into pockets), and had been left in a shopping trolley at Waitrose. I took it in to the help desk, and a member of staff took it from me. Probably the woman who lost it got it back soon afterwards. I imagine that she must have called the store in a panic.

Not that I promise to be a good citizen if someone leaves an attache case containing a million pounds somewhere, which amount of cash could not, in my view, be the property of any honest person. No, the (so far, hypothetical) million pounds stays with me, in that event.

The Conservative Democratic conference. Hall almost empty. Rows and rows of empty seats. The photos show no more than 100 in the audience. In fact, I think that I addressed a larger audience than this one when I spoke at the London Forum in 2017.

Hard to judge the age demographic accurately from the photos, but apart from a few younger persons under 30 (possibly students), and a few youngish blonde women (possibly journalists), the audience seems to have been predominantly grey-haired or bald. I should say, at a guess, that there were more people over 70 than there were people under 50.

She looks and sounds drunk.

The USA (and therefore the world) has a problem— a plainly demented President, and the Vice-President a drunken black/Tamil Indian woman.

There is a myth that as a country we cannot afford our state pensions. And that myth is central to Iain Duncan Smith’s proposals to raise the state pension age to 75.

But there is a problem with the premise of IDS’s bright idea. The reality is that according to the OBR, public spending on the state pension is expected to rise by less than 1 per cent of GDP between 2017-18 and 2022-23.

In the even more distant future, the OBR forecasts that by keeping the current system in place, by the 2060s when those people currently in their twenties are drawing down on a state pension, our country will only be spending around 2 per cent more as a share of our GDP.

No government wishing to be re-elected will ignore the largest voting bloc in the country, therefore there will need to be some form of income support for this group. The cost increase is clearly not beyond the realms of manageability under current forecasts.

The poorest pensioners are the ones who are most reliant on the state pension – moving the goalposts is a callous response to a rise in poverty among the elderly. Under IDS’s plans, the elderly will have to work longer in an unforgiving job market typified by low wages and zero-hours contracts. Do we really want to condemn a 70-year-old to in-work poverty? It’s utterly cruel

Serious government policy in the 21st century should focus on how we ensure everyone from cradle-to-grave shares in the wealth of our nation. A universal basic income, a shorter working week, and the maintenance of the triple lock system: these are the policies of tomorrow.

[The Independent]

If implemented, a plan such as that suggested by Iain Duncan Smith, under present circumstances, would mean that people 65-75, i.e. at the age where most people now are receiving State pensions, and who are often managing long-term health problems, would be made subject to the ridiculous and shambolic, yet extremely repressive DWP regime started under Labour after 2005 and then made far harsher by “Dunce” Duncan Smith (his real name is plain “Smith”) after 2010.

I do not understand how Smith has lasted this long politically, being terminally thick, having falsified his CV several times, and having cost the State huge amounts via his half-baked programmes. That is not even taking into account his own outright frauds in respect of his MP expenses. Hundreds of thousands of pounds. I also do not understand how he has survived generally. He must be well-guarded.

That last in fact is a major reason why things are as they are in the UK: instead of MPs and ministers being afraid of the people, the poor British people are afraid of the cruel, corrupt, and freeloading MPs and ministers.

Something has to be done about the state of the UK. That much is becoming obvious to almost everyone. That, however, just begs the question, in a political milieu where the main System parties are very similar in policy terms.

For once, I agree with Ash Sarkar.

She is, in a sense, correct here too, sadly. Except that she wants the UK to become non-white (like her), and I (of course) do not.

The non-European, non-white population is exploding. Their birth rate is far higher than that of (real) British people, and of course there is the continuing migration invasion, not only via small boats crossing the Channel but also via so-called “legal” immigration. All in all, over 700,000 in the past year alone.

All System parties either support or do nothing to stop the invasion of non-whites into the UK. Meanwhile, idiots or malicious grifters of the Ash Sarkar type applaud our upcoming racial and national demise.

The laws re. free speech or, rather, repressing free speech, are now so harsh that I cannot say here what should be done with System political frauds, malicious groups (both Zionist groups and those who can mainly be described as their “useful idiots”), and other enemies of the people. My readers will have to read between the lines.

Ha ha! It seems to work… More would have worked even better.

A “chimp-out”, as the Americans say…

It is more important to eliminate Zionism in the UK, France, and USA (etc) than to oppose it in the Middle East.

[FYI: I have no connection with any existing political party or movement].

Every day, hundreds, sometimes thousands.

For me, socialism effectively died in 1989 (I tend not to use the poorly-defined “Left/Right” descriptors). Look at a mild version of socialism, that of the Labour Party in the UK. It veered between socialism and social-democracy in the 1956-1989 period, then chucked out its socialist elements during the 1990s, under Blair.

Look at Labour now. It is very very obvious that Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer will do nothing radical to help the poorer part of the society, but will try, so to speak, “to run the workhouses better”, and no more.

Ironically, Labour might have recovered some old-style socialism under Corbyn, had he stayed on, but of course the Jewish lobby finished off Corbyn and anyone supportive of him in Labour. Most of them have been expelled or stamped on hard enough to shut them up.

Labour’s “offer” to the voting public amounts to a possibly more efficient (maybe not even that) version of what the Conservative Party has been doing for 13 years.

Labour is doing well in the opinion polls by default, purely because the “Conservative” misgovernment is so bloody awful.

Putin has more patience than I would have in the same circumstances.

1980s— catapults and rocks. 1990s— rockets akin to large fireworks. 2023— more sophisticated rockets. 2030? 2040? The Israelis must be wondering what might be coming down the track…

Ha ha! “You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time” [Abraham Lincoln].

I wonder what the percentage would be if Jews outside Israel were included in the question?

If only white European people would stop oppressing blacks, and let the blacks “rule themselves”…oh, no, wait…

Very true, but Starmer-Labour would/will be very similar.

Again, very true, but the main drivers of censorship —and against freedom of expression— in the UK are the fanatical Jew-Zionists.

As for “Tories“, we can already see that the Israel-lobby puppets in the Labour Shadow Cabinet would be, if anything, even worse.

Again, all true, except that the upcoming local elections will change little or nothing in terms of actual improvements to anything.

I should like to see a reduction of about 4/5ths in the world population, leaving 1/5th, mostly northern European. Not because of “hate” toward the non-Europeans but because, firstly, the natural world is under unprecedented strain and, secondly, only a European population in Europe (particularly) and northern Eurasia can form the basis for a necessary quantum leap in human evolution.

Obscure hit noticed

Well, a first (I think) for the blog today. No less than 8 hits (possibly from only one person, though) from Tadzhikistan (my preferred spelling, btw), one of the wildest corners of the old Soviet “empire” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tajikistan].

Those who know about such things tell me that the location of hits from overseas is unreliable, by reason of “proxy servers”, but I prefer just to believe that someone in Dushanbe or wherever, for whatever reason, has been reading my output.

I recall that, when I was on the committee of the Central Asia and Transcaucasia Law Association (CATLA) in the mid-1990s, someone had been reporting from Dushanbe (former Stalinabad, during the 1930s and 1940s) on the telephone, before gasping that she had to run “because a tank has just come around the corner“; there was a civil war going on at the time.

[Rudaki (formerly Lenin) Avenue, Dushanbe, Tadjikistan, the main thoroughfare]

The blog has had a few very obscure hits before, including one or two from Antarctica.

For me, the main danger of AI is that it will become so inconvenient for people to avoid its effects and control that most will become almost slaves to a mechanized, digitized society in which the individual (and free speech, and free thought) may be of little value.

Appalling. I see so many similar situations, all over the country, certainly all over what I think is the best part of England, meaning below a line stretching from the Bristol Channel to the Wash. (yes, I know that there are also some beautiful areas elsewhere, such as Herefordshire).
