Quite. I had occasion to visit a small hospital (a routine annual test, not for treatment) a week or two ago. Not busy (they have no A & E). I was the only member of the public there, on entering the hospital, but there was a person standing there with a box of facemasks. He proffered one, using tongs, like an air hostess offering a hot mini-towel.
I thought to keep my disapproval light, so merely asked (in mock-surprise), “oh, you are still doing that?”, to which the mask-profferor replied, slightly censoriously, “this is a hospital“…
As to the hospital itself— deserted. In mid-afternoon. I saw one or two nurses around; literally one or two, no-one else. No doctors, no patients.
I found the place to which I was going. The staff there (two nurses) were very pleasant. They discovered that the administration had messed up the appointments again, they said (meaning the obviously West Indian girl on the telephone a few days previously, and who was based elsewhere— there are very few blacks in my part of the country, so far).
The nurses quickly sorted everything out, and I was out of the hospital 10 minutes later.
I wondered, as I walked over to the car, parked in the convenient (and temporarily free) car park, what on Earth has happened to the NHS. That hospital, never crowded, used to be fairly busy until the evening.
I heard a story from someone else in that vein. The difficulty of even getting an appointment to actually see a GP now, and the Kafka-esque goings on around mostly useless “telephone appointments” arranged by dragon-like receptionists. Also, re. that patient’s GP, who now apparently only bothers to work two days per week!
Does that GP get paid 40% of the average (I think) £120,000? So £48,000 a year for only two days each week?
This week, I once again beat political commentator John Rentoul, scoring 6/10 as against his eccentrically-scored 4.5/10. I did not know the answers to questions 3, 5, 7, and 8.

Msm reporting that the Jew Zelensky, figurehead of the Kiev regime, is “open to negotiation” with Putin. A sure sign that the Kiev regime is in trouble, militarily.
Despite reports of Ukrainian counter-attacks and even a counter-offensive, it seems clear that Russian forces are slowly winning the battle of attrition in the Ukrainian south and southeast.
As blogged previously, if the Russians can draw a line from the south, along the Dnieper river, through Zaporozhye and Dnipro [former Dnepropetrovsk], then up to Kharkov, then all Ukrainian forces east of that line are doomed, and most, in fairly open country, will be captured or killed.
Having said that, Zelensky’s pre-condition for negotiation, that all Russian forces be withdrawn (from where, though? The Donbass? Crimea?) is simply a stumbling-block which renders meaningful negotiation impossible.
Even the more limited demand, a return to pre-invasion positions, is really impossible.
Meanwhile, hawks in Washington and New York (many of them Jewish, or connected with the Jewish lobby) are calling for the West to send tanks, and even jet fighters, to the Kiev regime.
I am wondering whether, in the end, Russia will have only one card to play…and will play it, whether only tactically, meaning in the Ukrainian space, or strategically, beyond Ukraine.

The “Wiesenthal watch” is a Patek Philippe, the so-called “Rolls-Royce of watches”. They do keep their value well. I knew of a couple of such watches sold by the writer and diplomat Miguel Serrano [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miguel_Serrano], who was very friendly with a London-based friend of mine.
Serrano wanted to sell a couple of Patek Philippe watches at (if I remember aright) Sotheby’s. I cannot now recall exactly when that was, either late 1980s or early 1990s. I think late 80s.
One of the watches had been given to Serrano by Indira Gandhi [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indira_Gandhi]. Serrano had been Indira Gandhi’s lover (while he was in India as Ambassador, from 1957), though that fact is absent from Wikipedia etc. Serrano himself made no great secret of the liaison, at least to trusted friends, and was apparently invited to Indira Gandhi’s funeral after her assassination.
I cannot recall now how much the watches fetched at auction; many thousands, and perhaps over £20,000. A lot, bearing in mind that this was over 30 years ago.
The watches were left in the keeping of my friend, who showed them to me; she put them up for auction for Serrano, who was still in Chile.

I cannot remember when exactly it was that I blogged about (inter alia) the 1980s/1990s Greenham Common (UK) “peace women”, but I expect my commentary can be found via the search function on the blog. Similar loonies.

Incidentally and incredibly, even though the last missiles left Greenham Common in 1991, even though the Americans left Greenham in 1992 and even though the UK Ministry of Defence closed the base in 1993, putting it up for sale (the area being almost all designated by 1997 as public parkland), the “Greenham Women” stayed, some of them, until 2000! To me that proves that without their having “political activism” to do, some of them had nothing to do with their time or their lives. They were unable to accept that their protests (for 19 years!) had actually achieved nothing and in any case had been superseded by large-scale international events. Like the Japanese soldier in the 1970s, fighting a lone war in the jungle, 30 years after the Pacific War had ended.“

Apart from anything else, the scandal, which has been going on for over 20 years, is a salutary reminder that merely appointing a woman to head something is not a panacea against administrative incompetence and misfeasance. Often the contrary.

Why is the ordinary msm not covering this invasion? Because the msm is part of a System which is importing non-whites as part of a massive transnational conspiracy.

Latest news from reliable sources is that Alison has been moved into a new cell, and she now has a “lovely view” out of her window onto a well-kept garden with a lawn, a gardener, a picnic table and a duck pond complete with mallards and 15 ducklings.
Alison has by now already served about a quarter of her 11-week (headline, 22-week) sentence. To date, 18 days out of 77.
