The appointment of an unfunny and uninteresting pseudo-comic American lesbianka as London “Night-time Tsar” (paid £133,000+ p.a. for a 3-day week) must rate as one of the most absurd appointments of the last decade, along with the elevation of “Boris” Johnson’s alleged illegitimate daughter, Charlotte Owen, as a member of the House of Lords in 2023 at the age of 29, despite having had no significant work or academic background. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlotte_Owen,_Baroness_Owen_of_Alderley_Edge]
Having said that, I now see that, after the unexplained elevation of Charlotte Owen, an equally-absurd “ennoblement” occurred this very year, when one Carmen Smith of the joke-“nationalist” Welsh party, Plaid Cymru, was made a member of the House of Lords aged just 27. A woman whose academic background consists of having attended one year, if that, of a 3-year law degree in Wales, before she dropped out, and whose work experience consists of about 18-24 months as an office gopher for several organizations (she spent 6-10 months in each). Appointments of the type noted above bring the whole system of Parliament into (even more) opprobrium.
The Starmer-Labour government now intends to remove the remaining hereditary peers from the Lords. In principle, I would have no argument with that for several reasons: firstly, the hereditary peers (both those still sitting and the larger number removed by Blair in 1999) almost all had their “aristocratic” family pedigrees dating from as recently as 1900.
Until the era of George III (18thC), the House of Lords numbered only about 50 peers. By 1999, all but a handful of peers could trace their “aristocratic” lineage back only as far as the Lloyd George era of the early 20thC, when sales of honours happened on a wide scale.
The House of Lords has always, certainly from 1900, been a bit of a fake in terms of “aristocratic” credentials.
Having said that, Blair’s typically wrongheaded reform of 1999 has merely resulted in an ever-growing number of time-served ex-MPs, political donors, and low-grade cronies etc being given life peerages. Over 700 at latest count.
The two mentioned above, Charlotte Owen and Carmen Smith, are just the tip of the iceberg. As long ago as 2011, useless Oona King, half American black, half Jewish, was put into the Lords having lost her seat as MP in 2005, and having failed to become Mayor of London: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oona_King. She had ridden the “diversity” carousel to get that far, and continues to do so, though she retired from the House of Lords in 2024 and is now “head of diversity” at, of all things, Uber taxis.
I read Oona King’s book of memoirs, The Oona King Diaries: House Music, many years ago. Utterly cretinous. I should have been able to refer readers of the blog to my Amazon review of the book, but the “usual suspects” (malicious Jew-Zionists) had my reviews all taken down over a decade ago. I am now unable to review on Amazon, despite once having been voted a “top 100” reviewer. “Free society”?
There seems little point in having the House of Lords at all now, even as a so-called “revising chamber”, a job at which the Lords is useless anyway.

Russia could “win” this long and bitter conflict by simply flattening Kiev, but has not wanted to do that. Kiev was the first capital of Kievan Rus, before Moscow was even founded. It is a basic part of the Russian imperium, part of its history.
I would probably not imprison “two-tier” Keir Starmer or dictatorial expenses cheat and freeloader Yvette Cooper even had I the power to do so. ‘Nuff said…
Were non-whites allowed to participate? If so, the “too high” figure there should be even higher, to reflect English/British opinion.

We are in an era of political prosecutions, political convictions, and political sentencing, as in my “case”:
Legal and policing apartheid— and the English are usually on the wrong side of the tracks.
Only idiots and/or desperate Africans, South Asians, and Peruvians/Bolivians will join the Kiev-regime forces now. The early wave of would-be Rambo types, self-styled “dogs of war”, and clueless young adventurers is now history; most died in battle or went home in the end. Many were British ex-soldiers of, mostly, private-soldier rank, who found that the front lines were not only hazardous but very poorly-paid.
As for Ukrainians, most potential recruits are either evading the draft or have already avoided it by relocating to other countries.
Lift the sanctions. Take away Zelensky’s ricebowl. Stop fuelling this war which would not continue for more than a few weeks without the Western arms, ammunition, and money.
