I can agree with some, perhaps much, of what is written by Matt Goodwin, but he sees the threat to Western civilization as coming only from radical Islamism. I have seen allegations online that Mason is tied up with British security and/or intelligence. Maybe. I find him hard to pin down either politically or even in terms of economics. Another red flag, at least for me. Someone who seems to run with the quarry and chase with the hunters.
When Mason was reporting on the Greek financial crisis, he was plainly (even expressly, I think) pro-Syriza, the supposed socialist “party of the people”, which took power for a while, but then repressed the real voice of the Greeks (Golden Dawn), and then sold out the Greek people to transnational forces of capital and the EU. I have no idea how true any of that may be, but I have long been suspicious of the part-Jew scribbler and talking head, Paul Mason: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Mason_(journalist). A decade ago, I found his books (I read two of them) interesting (on economic and some social matters), but his political standpoint seemed to be an odd and very silly 1960s conflation of Marxism and anarcho-syndicalism.

I should say that, in my opinion, Mason’s overall attitude to the British people is one of snarling contempt.

His degree was a “soft” one (Music and Politics, awarded by the University of Sheffield), after which he trained as a music teacher, then did some postgraduate research, again in the musical field. He taught music at Loughborough University for several years until 1988, when he was 28.
Mason moved to London in 1988, but his source(s) of income over the following 3 years are unknown; he then became, apparently, a “freelance journalist” for about 4 years (the date of starting doing that is vague), until employed from about 1995 on several different publications as writer and editor, the latter role having been at Computer Weekly.
From 2001 to 2013, Mason was on BBC Newsnight, and then was Economics Editor of Channel 4 News (2014-2016). After that, again freelance. He also now runs a political “consultancy”.
For whatever reason, Mason has been rejected (so far) in his quest to become a Labour MP, a quest which I predicted a decade ago in one of my popular reviews on Amazon UK, where I was voted one of the so-called “Top Reviewers”.
Sadly, readers of this blog cannot verify what I have just written— the Jewish lobby had all my Amazon UK reviews removed many years ago (thus proving, once again, that democracy and civil rights cannot co-exist for very long with a substantial Jewish population, not in any country).
As noted, Mason has tried to become a Labour MP in three constituencies so far, and reached the shortlist in two of them before having been rejected. Now, rumour has it that Mason will be selected to fight the Islington North seat presently held by Jeremy Corbyn, who has been sacked, to put it plainly, by Keir Starmer.

There was a small pro-migrant demonstration (about 20 idiots). The spokeswoman seemed to be some deluded old bat who said that the Government was at fault for not “processing” quickly enough the migrants’ asylum claims, so that they could be “settled”. Settled where? In houses and flats which should be going to British people.
I should be willing to bet that the deluded old bat in question thinks that everyone in the UK should have higher pay, better State benefits, better NHS services etc. How on Earth does she (and all those who think like her) imagine that those aims can be accomplished, when a million migrants a year are entering the UK, many of them completely unemployable? Those hordes are, at best, a millstone round the neck of the British people, and at worst a hostile enemy force and bloc.
Incidentally, the invaders on the barge will not be detained there. Oh, no. They will live there, sheltered and fed, and provided with medical and dental services. They will not only be free to go out to Portland or Weymouth or elsewhere, but also provided with a free shuttle bus service from the barge to the nearest town (running from morning until into the evening), and some pocket money (I believe about £40 a week).

Ukraine needs a new start. Ideally, the Russians should take all of Eastern Ukraine (Ukraine east of the Dnieper), as well as Crimea, and also a 50-mile-deep strip along the Black Sea littoral. Odessa and Kiev should have some kind of special status, either condominium status or as autonomous cities. A Ukrainian state, presumably based on Lvov, can then exist in the two-thirds of Ukraine west of the Dnieper and north of that coastal strip.

We need to get serious about crime. This is a joke.
You only have to look at the newspapers to see that that is so. The national ones do not carry the whole story. You see the picture better in the local newspapers (whether print or online). Even quite violent criminals with long and bad records are getting, quite often, suspended sentences, or even such leniency as conditional discharges.
As for thefts, unless the value involved is prodigious, a non-custodial sentence is the norm. Indeed, even where the record is very long and there are aggravating factors, e.g. having committed a “minor” theft (which can still be into the hundreds of pounds) during the currency of a suspended sentence, the time given is usually something like 1 or 2 months, meaning that the convict will be released in, quite likely, a couple of weeks (half of the headline sentence, minus any time spent in custody, but also administrative early release in many cases).
How long is a “long” record? In many cases, not even dozens but even hundreds of convictions, if relatively minor. For example, a shoplifting offence where the value is less than £200 carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in prison, in theory, but a more typical result is a penalty notice and fine of £80 rather than a trial, if the matter is admitted.
In fact, most smallish thefts of that sort never get to court, or even to the police (who now usually only attend stores if there has been a struggle of some sort). It is often left to the store staff to sort out (eg by expelling and banning the perpetrator). That’s when the perpetrator is caught at all.
If you look at local newspapers, you often see that, before a minor offender such as a shoplifter is imprisoned, the defendant will usually have been caught and convicted dozens and perhaps caught (and/or seen) by shop staff hundreds of times, and even then the sentence of imprisonment might be measured in weeks, maybe 10 weeks or similar, meaning out in about a month.
Not that I am a “hanger and flogger”, far from it, but it has become a bit of a joke.
The same is even true of offences involving violence, not uncommonly.
I noticed in the newspapers recently a trial of a gang involved in a series of high-value ATM ram-raids across the South of England. The amount taken was in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, and the damage done to shops and stolen cars (Range-Rovers etc) was even greater. Four or five were convicted at Crown Court. The leader got, I think, over 6 years, but will be released in 3 years; another pair got 3 years (so out in 18 months), and one got a non-custodial sentence.
Of course, say something online about, say, the Jewish lobby, and the police and CPS take much more interest (as the country folds…).
At the same time as the above-discussed cases, Sven Longshanks (James Allchurch) got 2.5 years (so will spend over a year in prison) for being rude about Jews etc on his Internet podcasts! The whole system is now mad. There was another recent case where someone got something like 6 years or more for supposedly having belonged to a banned organization, and also for having a copy (either in print or downloaded from the Internet) of the 1970s manual, The Anarchist’s Cookbook, which is now prohibited in the UK. Just mad.

I blogged a couple of months ago about my two younger brothers, one in the UK and one in Australia, both of whom have been sportsmen all their lives, and neither of which had ever had cardiac problems until they were “vaccinated” with the “Covid” “vaccines”, as well as each having “boosters”.
Last year, both were taken to hospital as emergency heart cases. Both had to have by-pass operations (one a triple by-pass). Though both are now recovered, for me those incidents are at least anecdotal proof of the dangers of these botched “vaccines”. I am glad that I resisted the several attempts made to offer me the bloody stuff.

Turns out that (since a day or two ago) a few more mugs have seen the light and so stopped paying her between £3.50 and £44 a month for nothing but a virtue-signal that no-one even sees. Still, 479 mugs paying out does add up to between £1,677 and £21,076 each month.

Well, that must be right. Let us say, for the purposes of argument and suspending disbelief, that the Kiev-regime forces win everything they say they want, and thus push Russian forces out of the regions of Lugansk, Donetsk, and Crimea, leaving the Russian civilians who live there to flee, be killed, or be subjected to ethnic Ukrainian martial law (unable even to speak Russian in public). What then?
Do the politicians and military top brass of NATO states think that Russia would let that happen, or let that happen without revenge and retaliation?
Were it to happen that Russian forces were pushed back to beyond the pre-2014 borders, Russia would probably respond by flattening Kiev and the major cities of eastern Ukraine, then marching in new armies over the rubble.
The fact remains that, regardless of the military fantasies of the Zelensky regime, or the likes of the BBC and Sky News, Russia cannot lose this conflict in the end. If it prevails on the conventional battlefield, it has not “lost”, though such a victory would be bitter and not exactly a “win”. On the other hand, if the Kiev regime prevails on the battlefield, all that happens is that Russia uses the weapons (including nuclear) which it possesses and which the Kiev regime does not possess and will not possess even in 20 years or even 100 years.
I repeat, Russia cannot “lose” this war, and the Kiev regime cannot “win”.
There is a third possibility, which is that the war drags on, with the Western powers supplying more and advanced weaponry etc, until a bloody stalemate ensues, as in WW1. The West will not give Kiev and Zelensky weapons that are nuclear or can hit Moscow and other long-range targets (Moscow is 300 miles from the Ukraine border, 500 miles from Kiev).
If such a battlefield stalemate were to occur (and we are not very far from that now, really), the West would be waiting for Putin to die and/or be replaced. That assumes that the replacement would be more conciliatory. He might not be.
Still, I think that 2023 might yet see an unexpected Russian advance, with much of eastern Ukraine falling into Russian hands.

This is an idea I have discussed in the past on the blog: Russia to absorb the part of Ukraine (about or nearly half, ignoring Crimea) which lies east of the Dnieper river; the present regime in Kiev to move to Lvov and rule from there the west and southwest of Ukraine.
Kiev is a problem, lying as it does on the Dnieper. It is historically bound to Russia (after all, Ukraine as a state only goes back to 1991), but its status is unlikely to be agreed upon. Its (pre-war) population of 3M is about 8% or more of the whole population of the Ukraine.; it is the 7th-biggest city in Europe.

That has been increasingly my feeling over the past weeks. Kim Leadbeater, the Labour candidate, is plainly as thick as two short planks, and has quite obviously been drilled to deliver pathetic soundbites such as “there is no magic money tree“. She is one personification of why Labour is going nowhere but down.
Most of the Muslims in the by-election area seem to have all but given up on Labour now that it is back under Jewish-lobby control.
If in 2019, Tracy Brabin and Labour only got 42.7%, almost half of that that would have been the Muslim vote. If, in this by-election, most of that Muslim vote disappears to Galloway (or to abstention), that would seem to reduce Labour to a vote-share around 30%. If half of the English former (2019) Labour voters abstain or vote elsewhere, the Labour vote might reduce to around 20%, or less. That might knock Labour into third place.
Having said that, there is still all to play for at Batley and Spen. The Labour candidate still has as ammunition her local roots, the tradition of Labour voting locally, and the sympathy vote around the assassination of her sister (former MP Jo Cox) by a socio-political dissident. I have to say that I myself am sceptical that that sympathy vote even exists, but there it is.
Incidentally, there has been much msm and Twitter noise around the egg attack on Labour leafletters. Has it not occurred to anyone that that may have been locals expressing their opinion of the last thick-as-two-short -planks MP, Tracy Brabin, who was (it seems) one of those attacked? The teacher from Batley has been let down by the conservative party /Labour party/ Teachers union/teaching fraternity/His colleagues/His school/His Headmaster/His school governors.
Leaving aside the rigged 2016 by-election, in which “Labour” was the only major (i.e. System) party standing, it can be seen that the Labour vote rose in 2017 to 55.5%, compared to only 43.2% when Jo Cox was the candidate in 2015.
In 2019, the Labour vote fell back to 42.7%, but that was still in the same region as the 43.2% Jo Cox managed, or her predecessor, Mike Wood, whose last vote, in 2010, was only 41.5%.
Yes, the betting market only gets election results right about half of the time. Labour is now between 7/2 and 4/1 against, but the Conservatives are 1/4 on…very firm favourites. The result is not completely certain, so I should say that that odds-on offer is not a value bet. I myself would not bet on Labour winning, but 4/1 might yet be a value bet for anyone willing to risk a little money.

I have to say that I agree with what the Muslim below says about this:

The fact that I would rather that no large Muslim populations existed in the UK is a separate matter.
Imagine a “teacher” so ignorant that he or she has never heard of the word “alms”! Sadly, schoolteaching, especially in the State sector, tends to be something in the UK that people do when they can do little else. The standards are often abysmal (as can be seen on TV quiz shows).

I cannot say that I have a huge amount of time for Galloway, but at first I thought that he would do well to get 5% of the vote. As the by-election campaign has progressed, I have realized that that was a gross underestimate. He may well get not only most of the Muslim votes but also a sizeable chunk of disaffected white English former Labour votes. If so, he could be in with a good chance of at least coming in second.
Unlikely that Galloway will win (though I thought that of the LibDems at Chesham and Amersham). If he did, though, that really would be a political earthquake, not because Galloway might go on to form a party of any size, but because it would show that vast numbers of people in the UK are very tired and angry at the way in which this country has been misgoverned for decades.
Hartlepool, Chesham and Amersham, Batley and Spen. Are they listening? How can they be forced to listen?…
So much economic illiteracy this morning. I just heard Tom Newton Dunn confidently asserting that the government has “very little money left.” This horse shit never ends.
Exactly. The simple people think in terms of government having a kind of Mrs. Thatcher’s purse, or a chest with money in it (in gold coins, very likely), and that once that is spent, “there is no money left”. Few, even MPs or candidates, bother to learn even basic macro-economics, and that is why you get stupid people such as Kim Leadbeater, the doomed (?) Labour candidate at Batley and Spen (though she only joined Labour about 6 or 7 weeks ago!) parrotting nonsense about “magic money trees” etc. Pitiful.
Kim Leadbeater, despite not even having belonged to Labour for more than a month or two, is clearly part of that corrupt, dishonest, PR-spinning, Blairite-Brownite, New Labour ghastliness. After all, her own sister was a Labour-label MP who herself was married to a sex pest quasi-rapist (who made about £200,000 a year from a charity)… The people don’t want that kind of “Labour”.
If I were a voter of Batley and Spen, I would demand full disclosure from Kim Leadbeater about her income, and from where exactly it comes.
It’s dishonest and cynical how many Labour leaflets in Batley and Spen feature nothing but Kashmir, Palestine, Islamophobia yet also directly contradict the party’s current record on these issues. As if Muslims don’t care about local and domestic issues? And won’t see through it?

As if it changes anything at all that Boris-idiot has a majority of 80 or one of 81! Labour would have to win about 80 by-elections to force out the present government.
What if Labour manages to retain Batley an Spen? Unlikely, but what if? Well, Starmer would probably not be forced out. Apart from that, nothing. Either another Jewish-lobby puppet such as Rachel Reeves or Lisa Nandy would take over, or Angela Rayner, who seems as thick as two short planks, and who also bent the knee, alongside Starmer, to both the Jewish lobby and the black mobs; or maybe some creature such as Dawn Butler would become Labour leader, thus accelerating Labour’s demise.
In fact, even if Labour wins at Batley and Spen, the snatched victory would mean nothing. The margin would probably be tiny, and all of Labour’s problems of role, identity, meaning, and purpose, would remain.
At present, I am thinking that the result might be (probably will be) Conservatives to win, followed (possibly) by Galloway, and with Labour in third place.
