The “traveller” disease

https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/26581543.two-donkeys-drugs-counterfeit-cash-seized-selby-area

“Two donkeys, Class A drugs and counterfeit cash have been seized as part of a major police operation in North Yorkshire.

Police carried out an animal welfare warrant alongside the RSPCA, North Yorkshire Council and Trading Standards, where two donkeys were seized over concerns about unnecessary suffering.

The donkeys were found among other animals, and the site was also issued a number of animal welfare notices.

North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers and partners also identified suspected illegal puppy breeding, which is now subject to further investigation and enforcement activity.”

In Selby, officers executed a drugs warrant where a quantity of Class A drugs and counterfeit cash were found.

One person was arrested as part of this investigation, police confirmed.

Meanwhile, officers working with the DVSA filed 14 Traffic Offence Reports in Escrick – one of which involved a vehicle being seized for being driven with no tax and another seized for no insurance.”

The words “traveller”, or “Irish tinker” are nowhere to be seen in that news report. Self-censorship.

The huge nuisance of the so-called “travellers” has to be addressed as a matter of urgency once Britain has a real government, one that cares about the British people, the environment, animals, and birds.

One —yes, admittedly, very unpleasant— day, and the whole problem would be solved forever.

Well, that probably means that Switzerland will join much of the rest of mainland Europe in being devastated, somewhere not far down the line.

Russia now has about 2 years in which to conquer and hold (at least) the whole of Eastern Ukraine. Attrition alone cannot do it in the time available.

Images not clear enough to make a definite judgment.

The bigger issue, of course, is whether the UK should be hosting or facilitating American air operations at all. I say not.

The “Socialist Worker” mob, the ever-present and inevitable “Socialist Worker” mob. I can recall them (at least, their nominal forbears in political stupidity) as long ago as 1975, when I was 18. I am now 70.

Complete idiots. The political equivalent of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Noisy irrelevances.

I believe that the Socialist Worker Party was started and led at first by a Jew called Ygael Gluckstein, who used the Anglicized nom de guerre “Tony Cliff”. According to Wikipedia, it now has a notional membership of 6,000, of which the core membership is about 2,000: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Workers_Party_(UK). I believe that the membership was at one time (1970s) rather higher in number.

The “SWP”, as mentioned, has been a fringe or crank party for about 76 years, under a few names (as “SWP” since 1977). You would think that, after 76 years, its adherents would by now understand that they are going nowhere. I suppose that, as implied, the members are not the most intelligent or mentally balanced in the political realm.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Workers_Party_(UK)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Workers_Party_(UK)

I see now from Wikipedia that Gluckstein/”Cliff” went up the chimney in 2000, and that others are now in charge of the splintered SWP.

The most recent “leader” of the SWP seems to have been “Comrade Delta”, aka one Martin Smith, who however was removed after he allegedly committed rape and sexual assault against members. The other “leader” noted by Wikipedia is one Alex Callinicos, of partly (Southern African) Greek origin, and who is now 76: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Callinicos. Surprisingly, Callinicos is descended from (is the grandson of) the famous Lord Acton: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dalberg-Acton,_1st_Baron_Acton.

In the manner of, as already noted, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, or Salvation Army bands at Christmas-time, the SWP’s presence (being noisy and objectionable) at by-elections seems to be unavoidable.

Incidentally, but interestingly, the Callinicos person is related, via his grandfather Lord Acton, to the Austro-German (though also part-Jew) nationalist Count Arco auf Valley [1897-1945] who assassinated the Jew Kurt Eisner, the revolutionary socialist who became President of the short-lived People’s State of Bavaria (November 1918-February 1919).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Eisner.

Looking at a longer version of that clip, it seemed to me that the political cretins of the SWP today are in every respect indistinguishable from those of several decades ago. They look the same, have the same or virtually the same placards, shout out the same tired “antifascist”/”antiracist” slogans. Nothing has changed…except the whole world and society around them. They should be in a museum (perhaps with the advances in robotics and AI, they eventually will be).

Ha ha! Deport Tugendhat to his beloved Israel. He has relatives there…

More seriously, the “Conservative” Party must be getting really desperate now. Latest poll had them on 17%, and personally I should not be surprised if they get only 15%, maybe even as low as 10%, should the next general election only be held in 2028 or 2029.

Much more difficult in a relatively small and crowded country such as Britain. Still, on the right road, I think. I have blogged a bit about “prepping” in the British/European context (as distinct from North America, Australasia etc). Use the search box on the blog.

Starmer-stein’s mandate, as Prime Minister, was very doubtful: in 2024, in rough terms, out of every 20 eligible voters, 8 did not actually vote, 4 voted Labour, 3 voted Con, 2 voted Reform, 2 voted LibDem, and 1 voted Green. Labour was voted for by 4 out of 20 eligible voters (4 out of 12 actually-voting voters).

Burnham has merely inherited Starmer-stein’s purple (via the equivalent of a palace revoilution) and, naturally (in political reality, if not in strict British Constitutional terms), has far less of a mandate than Starmer-stein. He has no programme beyond that of trying to please as many likely or potential voters as possible. He is totally out of his depth in every way.

Salutary tale

https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-16154307/Swedish-Piddington-BANNED-migrants-13-years-1988-Sjobo-shocked-Europe-controversial-referendum-Nearly-40-years-later-wish-ban-voted-never-lifted.html

“It is a familiar political story in a place that became infamous almost 40 years ago, when many of its residents voted to reject the arrival of refugees, in a referendum that sent shockwaves across Sweden and Europe.

In 1987, Sweden adopted a new strategy to distribute refugees more evenly across the country, and asked Sjobo, then a town of around 15,400, to take in around 15 people.

‘Anyone can understand that the next generation of Swedes will no longer be blonde and blue-eyed,’ Sven-Olle Olsson, a municipal councillor who was vehemently opposed, said at the time. He organised a referendum on the issue.

The ‘No’ side won the referendum with almost 68 per cent of votes, triggering a political storm in the country.

There are parallels to be drawn from the case in the recent ‘independence’ referendum held in the British village of Piddington in a symbolic protest against plans to accommodate 1,250 asylum seekers in a nearby military site.

Things have changed ‘enormously’ in Sjobo since 1988, according to Ms Ramel, now a municipal councillor herself who is trying to change Sjobo’s image.

She said the municipality now fulfils its requirements by welcoming new arrivals, even taking in more than some other towns in the region.

The anti-migration Sweden Democrats emerged from the election as Sweden’s third-largest party, after winning 62 seats in the 349-member parliament.

The party won 43 per cent of votes in Sjobo in the 2022 general election, still enjoying strong support in the southern town known for its contentious September 1988 referendum.

That support remained strong in this month’s election, with the Sweden Democrats taking more than a third of the vote in several of Sjobo’s polling districts.

The party won 38.8 per cent in Sjobo Linne, 33.8 per cent in Sjobo Emanuel and 36.1 per cent in Sjobo Farsinga in the parliamentary election.

‘In the end, Sjobo residents were right, if you want to put it that way,’ 89-year-old Bengt Lundgren, who voted for the Sweden Democrats in the recent election, said with a broad grin.

Sweden struggles to integrate its immigrants.

Around 20 per cent of its population is born abroad, according to 2025 data from Statistics Sweden.

The Oxfordshire village of Piddington held its own unofficial referendum over migration on September 16.

Some 285 of the 312 residents who voted backed a symbolic declaration of independence from Britain, in protest at plans to house 1,200 asylum seekers at a former military base nearby.

The vote had no legal force, but campaigners hope the gesture will send a message to Westminster over the proposed asylum accommodation at the former Ministry of Defence site at Bicester.“

As far as I am concerned, if the Swedes become no longer really Swedish at all, there is no reason for that country to exist. Same goes, mutatis mutandis, for this country. See also:

As previously blogged, in purely careerist terms, Shabana Mahmood has “played a blinder”: a Pakistani woman whose only legal work background was a 1-year Bar pupillage, followed by a year or two as a “gopher” in a provincial firm of solicitors, gets into the old MP racket and is made “Lord Chancellor” and then Home Secretary! You couldn’t make it up! Now she invites thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, from some of the most backward parts of the world, arguably, to come and live as total parasites off the backs of the British people.

Britain, better said many of the British, seem to have a death wish. Would I be made a Cabinet minister, or even an MP, in Pakistan? I think not (yes, I know that the Mahmood woman was born in Birmingham. Do you really think that makes any significant difference?).

Completely wrong, and politically explosive. The Triple Lock is not “unaffordable“. Stop throwing billions away on “Ukraine” (Zelensky’s dictatorship), on the housing, feeding, and otherwise funding of the now millions of black/brown migrant-invaders; the same goes for other huge wastes of money (Britain just gave £650M to Angola, a country completely unconnected to Britain or its history, so that the corrupt and totally useless Angolans can improve their airport. That is only one of hundreds of examples).

I declare an interest. I myself do benefit, marginally, from the Triple Lock. My State Pension (only about half of the full rate, by reason mainly of my time overseas) does increase by a slightly larger amount by reason of the Triple Lock. We are talking about a few pounds, if that, per week…

Any political party, whatever the reason or excuse, binning the Triple Lock can consider itself binned forever by any voters aged, say, 55+ (pensioners and those who hurtle towards State Pension age).

The idea of a State social care service that works is a good one, albeit one that has been obvious, and the service obviously needed, for many years. It has to be paid for, and there have to be enough employees to operate it. So how will it be paid for, and from where will come the huge number of employees needed?

A corrupt, shambolic, thug-regime.

If the City of London falls away, the UK economy, as it now is, will nosedive.

I do not like to advise young people, say 18-30, to abandon this country, but I should certainly say (as have Nick Griffin and others) that they should at least leave London and the other larger conurbations (which are in any case becoming —or have already become— non-white). I can understand why so many are seeking other locations in the world, especially in the Anglosphere, for medium to long-term residence.

[“Russian missiles and drone aircraft are doubling the cost of the war for Europe.

THE RUSSIAN MILITARY IS INCREASINGLY EFFECTIVELY DESTROYING THE UKRAINIAN ECONOMY AND THE TAX BASE OF THE KYIV REGIME.

We are now truly at a turning point, where the policy of each player is being determined. Continued support for Ukraine will lead to the collapse of the traditional political system in Europe.

Russia should continue to destroy the tax base of the Ukrainian economy, thereby increasing the cost of the war for Europe, so that Europeans can consider whether they can afford to find an additional 30-40 billion at a time when opposition is growing in EU countries.

There is no guaranteed funding for Kyiv for the next year. If it becomes clear that Ukraine cannot last even a year, the question will be raised in the EU: why did we need all of this?“]

Britain could have cost-price oil and gas.

Leave NATO, close down U.S. bases (under RAF or other flag), and stop giving arms, ammunition, money, and other help to the corrupt Kiev regime. In return, cheap gas, cheap oil, and a guaranteed huge market in Russia for British goods and services.

[“Russia has reactivated the “Dead Hand” retaliatory nuclear strike system, according to The Sunday Times.
The publication reports that the secret underground complex, “Facility 1335,” linked to the Soviet “Perimeter” system, has been expanded in the Ural Mountains and is now fully operational again.
Its purpose is to ensure the transmission of retaliatory orders, even after a massive attack on Russia.

“Wars and rumours of wars“, to quote Revelation. There is certainly a good deal of chatter around. More seriously, i.e. in terms of actual events, the dial is being turned up in various ways: the situation in both the Persian/Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea; the intensification in and around Ukraine/Russia; the North Polar region (noting the new U.S. bases about to be constructed in Greenland); the uncertainty around the AI technology and the robotics technology (both in itself and around its possible economic and social effects); the continuing mass migration invasion of Europe; the increasing political instability in Europe.

When, rather than if.

Trump says that the American taxpayers will cover the bill for all such damage. Another “own goal”, thanks to Israel and the American Jewish lobby. Well done, idiot.

Schwerpunkt: Central Israel, especially Tel Aviv and ben-Gurion Airport. Also, in the Negev Desert in the south, the Dimona nuclear plant.

Hold them upside down until all the gold falls from their pockets.

[“Iran has more missiles than anyone thinks Iran’s missile and launcher capabilities are vastly underestimated by the West (IDF, CENTCOM, media). Iran has been building, stockpiling and mass-producing missiles and launchers for 35+ years through a huge ecosystem of state, private companies, startups, universities and research centers — far more advanced and resilient than North Korea’s smaller, fully state-owned program, says analyst Patricia Marins.

Key points:

Claims that Iran is “running out” of missiles or launchers are nonsense — they manufacture 10–12 different models capable of reaching Israel, with some in production for nearly 30 years

Only ~30 launchers have been visually confirmed destroyed so far

Iran has hundreds of hidden underground silos (mapped: ~25 bases with 4–6 silos each; real number likely 50–100 → 200–600 silos total). Many use revolver systems (rotate and reload automatically, ~8 missiles per drum)

Iran hasn’t even started massively using silos yet — deliberately avoiding exposing them to satellites. They still prefer mobile launchers while working to suppress Israeli/US drone/surveillance dominance first

The West keeps repeating the same mistake (like with Russian missiles in Ukraine) — underestimating long-term production capacity and strategic depth.”]

Interesting, if accurate.

I think it far more likely that the Solicitors Regulation Authority has (not for the first time) caught up with Lewis and so he has locked his now-quite-inactive Twitter/X account to avoid the embarrassment of random questions about that from people.

The UK Jew/Israel lobby almost succeeded, at first, in protecting Lewis from publicity (online, and in the Press etc) in 2018, when he was being prosecuted by the SRA for abusing people online. It may be that we shall discover that Lewis is again being put before another disciplinary tribunal, this time on more serious charges.

Incidentally, while Lewis had at one time a flat in Eilat, Israel, more recent information (unverified) seems to suggest that he is based, when not in the UK, in Netanya, near Tel Aviv.

That woman, Fiona-Natasha Syms, is the ex-wife of the former (until 2024) Conservative MP for Poole. Despite, in the past, having been generally pro-Israel, pro-Jew etc, she found that, when she expressed her horror at the mass slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinian Arab civilians, the majority women and children, in Gaza, and the injury and mutilation of hundreds of thousands of others, her UK-resident Jewish “friends” all turned against her.

While it cannot be said for certain, it seems likely that either Israeli online hackers or other fanatically-Zionist Jews have targeted her. She, as someone who could not be, plausibly, labelled “antisemitic” (let alone “Nazi”, “neo-Nazi” etc), and as someone once well-connected in the Conservative Party, was a dangerous voice of truth and conscience about Gaza, Palestine, Israel etc on Twitter/X, and has probably been targeted by Jewish and/or Israeli elements for that reason.

[“I have talked to some Israeli officials and read a good deal of Israeli media. Here is how the war in Iran is perceived there so far:

1) On a tactical level, they believe it has gone very well and Israel has destroyed more of the Iranian military capability than expected.

2) They are disappointed that the regime has not been weakened as much as expected and that they remain in firm control. In particular the lack of a “rise up” among the population is a cause of concern.

3) They are finding Trump to be unreliable. While Israel favors a prolonged campaign to ensure total dismantlement of threats, Trump has signaled a desire to end the war “soon,” creating a potential rift in war aims.

4) Hezbollah is stronger than expected. It has hit Israel with drones and missiles and killed soldiers. They have recovered better than expected.

5) The inability of Ben-Gurion airport to withstand closing and chaos has shown fragility in Israeli social cohesion.

6) They are disappointed in the lack of support from Gulf States who want an end to the war rather than the escalation Israel wants.

7) Israel accepts that the regime in Tehran will survive and just hopes that this weakens them in preparation for the next round.

8) There is a growing fear among Israeli strategists that they are winning the war but losing the region. While military targets are being obliterated, the civilian infrastructure damage is causing a backlash.

9) The war is proving very expensive. The need to divert NIS 28 billion ($9 billion) to the military has forced the government to freeze social projects, leading to the first significant anti-government protests since the war began, specifically from the middle class bearing the tax burden.

10) They are aware that the war is very unpopular in the US and that Israel is being blamed. They are concerned about the ramifications for the alliance
.

While Netanyahu is painting this as a huge success, it really doesn’t look like one to Israeli strategic planners. The public knows it as well.“]

[“The removal of historical figures such as Winston Churchill from English banknotes may appear trivial to some.

But it isn’t.

It matters far more than many people realise.

Because what we are witnessing is not an isolated decision about banknote design.

It is part of something much larger: a slow but relentless erosion of our national culture, identity, and collective memory.

As Professor Frank Furedi has observed, we are living through what he calls “the War Against the Past.”

Across the Western world, an assortment of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion bureaucrats, radical activists, and increasingly compliant public institutions are engaged in a cultural project that seeks to delegitimise our national histories and strip away the symbols that once anchored our collective identity and memory.

The pattern is now familiar.

Statues are toppled.

Historical figures are reframed as morally suspect or “divisive”.

Public institutions rename buildings, spaces, Tube lines.

School and university reading lists are “decolonised”.

The past itself is rewritten to emphasise only its sins while ignoring its achievements.

Even the quiet symbolism of everyday life — the images on our currency, the names of our streets, the monuments in our squares — is steadily edited and sanitised.

What replaces these symbols is rarely anything meaningful.

Instead of historically significant figures who helped shape the nation, we are offered neutral, universal imagery that stands for almost nothing at all — landscapes, wildlife, abstractions.

On the surface this seems harmless.

But symbolism matters.

For centuries, historical figures served as cultural signposts, reminders of the history, struggles and achievements that shaped the nation and its people.

Remove those signposts, and something subtle but important begins to change.

The past becomes distant. Then contested. And then disposable.

Gradually, the story of a nation — its triumphs, failures, and defining moments — is hollowed out.

In its place emerges a new idea of national identity that is deliberately thin: one that defines Britain not through its history or traditions but through the abstract celebration of diversity itself.

In other words, the only thing that is meant to define us is that we have no defining identity at all.

The endpoint of this cultural project is not inclusion but historical amnesia, or cultural erasure.

A society that is detached from its past, uncertain of its traditions, and unsure of what binds it together.

This is what Sir Roger Scruton meant when he wrote: “A society that loses its memory loses its identity.”

And that loss happens gradually, through thousands of seemingly small decisions — a statue removed here, a curriculum altered there, a historical figure quietly replaced on a banknote.

Each individual change may appear insignificant.

But taken together they represent something far more profound: the slow disconnection of a people from their own history and collective memory.

A people who no longer really know who “we” are.

I doubt the bureaucrats who made this decision at the Bank of England fully grasp the cultural significance of what they are doing.

But intention is not the point. The effect is what matters.

When we remove the symbols of our past, we further weaken the very foundations of our identity.

Or Orwell warned: “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”

This is what is happening and accelerating around us.

This is what Furedi meant by the “War Against Our Past”.

And this is why it really matters.

Not because of one banknote.

But because of the much larger cultural story it represents.“]

[Matt Goodwin]

While I have great hostility to what Churchill did (especially the globally-disastrous war against the German Reich), he was and is still a towering modern historical figure (though arguably not quite as “towering” as his present admirers think).

I certainly not only agree with what Goodwin and others said there but have myself blogged about all of that previously, in some cases years ago. “Mental landscape“, “societal landscape” etc.

To adapt one of Marx’s best-known aphorisms, though, the point is not only to understand what is happening, but to change the direction of travel, and that will almost certainly not be a “peaceful” process.

The whole idea of “political appointees” to ambassadorial positions (common in the US, rare in the UK) is not a good one.

James Callaghan appointed his son-in-law, Peter Jay, as Ambassador to the US in the mid-1970s. He was a disaster, and his wife, Margaret Jay, even more so, especially when she had a flagrant affair with a Jew journalist: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Jay,_Baroness_Jay_of_Paddington#Personal_life and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Jay_(journalist).

As a matter of fact, that Jew political scribbler, Bernstein [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Bernstein], I seem to recall reading somewhere, was also, at one time, I think 1980s, involved with a Czech couple involved with SovBloc espionage, and who also ran some kind of informal group-sex club in the Washington D.C. and nearby Maryland/Virginia areas.

I never met any of the above-named people, I am glad to say, but I recall that someone I knew met, separately and in the course of business, both Margaret Jay and Peter Jay in the 1980s. Margaret Jay was described to me as “a horrid media person“, while Peter Jay (described to me as “a peculiar, excited, rubber-lipped person“) was a kind of glorified receptionist and greeter (sub nom “Chief of Staff”) to the Jewish criminal, speculator, and major MOSSAD asset, Robert “Maxwell”.
