Even if the headlines are “true” to some extent (though, as always with “them”, hugely overblown), I think that one has to ask the reason why. The Gaza brutality, ethnic cleansing and quasi-genocide is only part of the reason…

I was just looking at the Betfair Politics website. At Wellingborough, Labour remain even-money favourite; Cons are at around 7/1 from 6/1 yesterday.

At Kingswood (Bristol), both Labour and the Greens are around even money. The LibDems, whom I thought would be the main challenge to any Labour upset, have drifted out to 70/1, having been 2/1 only yesterday (Cons 10/1, Reform UK 85/1).

[Update, same day: the LibDems are now back to 2/1; maybe there was an error on the Betfair site, or more interest in the LibDems— I do not know. The betting now is similar to yesterday’s market: Lab even money, LibDems and Greens 2/1, but Cons are now out to 21/1, and Reform UK to 120/1].

The betting market is an unreliable guide to the result of by-elections, but it looks as though the punters, at least, are saying Wellingborough Lab, but Kingswood either Green or Lab.

I still think that it might be fairly close in Wellingborough, despite the Bone scandals and the unpopularity of the Government, but it is obviously Labour’s contest to lose. Many usual Con voters may vote Labour purely as a protest; many will also abstain in disgusted apathy. At Kingswood, I cannot see the Con candidate having any realistic chance.

If the Cons lose both seats badly, will Sunak resign? Maybe not, but there might be enough discontent in the Conservative Party MP ranks to stiffen the backs of the —usually spineless— Con MPs, and for there to be a leadership challenge.

It is hard to see that any new Conservative Party leader could turn around the fortunes of the Cons so close to a general election but, on the other hand, it might be those MPs’ last despairing throw, hoping against hope that a new figurehead might, if not win GE 2024, at least mitigate the expected losses, saving maybe 50-100 seats; i.e. instead of Con Party ending up with 50-100 seats, they might hope for 100-150 or even more.

The sad thing about that tweet is that the tweeter seems to think that “Labour” will make a difference once it forms a government, as will probably happen later this year. All major Labour people now are Labour Friends of Israel members, and/or freemasons. Join the dots…

In the primaries held so far, Biden got 100% of the delegates and 83.4% of the popular vote (Phillips got 7% of the popular vote). Phillips is not even on the ballot of several state primaries.

If Biden were to be, as seems almost inevitable, the Democratic candidate, and if he were to be re-elected and then die in office, that would put Kamala Harris into the White House. The msm in the UK, USA etc can no longer conceal the military crisis overwhelming the Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev. The military chief, Zaluzhny, has been replaced, and the ranks of the Kiev-regime forces are being thinned by both battlefield casualties and the unwillingness of both Ukrainian men and foreign volunteers and mercenaries to serve.

The foreigners have mostly been killed, captured, or have returned home, while Ukrainian men in very large numbers are avoiding the draft, either by remaining in foreign countries or by keeping their heads down in Ukraine itself. The Kiev regime employs brutal press-gangs to capture draft-evaders. One has to ask, though, whether people forced to join up under violent duress are going to be of much use in the field.

Strategically, as noted on the blog for 2 years now, Russia cannot lose this conflict, and will not. Tactically, both sides have encountered problems, but in terms of both manpower and arms, Russia now has the edge, very obviously.

I would not rule out a large-scale Russian offensive in 2024, though it may be that Putin will prefer to see what happens politically in the USA first. The US Presidential Election is in November 2024.

Likewise, Ukraine’s economy is on (Western) life-support.

Demographically, the population numbers are in freefall. 500,000 dead on or around the battlefields, huge numbers in foreign countries, and few children being born.

Either Charlotte Owen is related to “Boris” Johnson (the most likely possibility), or he was having some kind of affair with her; there is a third possibility, i.e. that she somehow knows something very seriously discreditable about Johnson.

I once heard Ben Houchen on the radio. Quite impressive. In fact, more so than most “dirty democratic politicians“, as Hitler termed them. However, I have found in my life that, usually, the most impressive-seeming people are “all hat and no cattle“, in the Texan phrase.

I think that I must pen, sometime, a little monograph, in the manner of Sherlock Holmes, but not about types of cigar ash; about impressive-seeming people and how few of them achieve greatness or even adequacy.

The West has already come to an understanding that it is impossible to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia; it will fight for its interests to the end. Vladimir Putin told American journalist Tucker Carlson about this.

Putin: The West fears a strong China more than a strong Russia because there are 150 million people in Russia, and one and a half billion in China, and the Chinese economy is developing by leaps and bounds – more than five percent a year, it was even more. It’s “panicdemic“, and/or “scamdemic“…

“Good man” is debatable. After all, “no-one can rule guiltlessly” [Saint-Just], but Putin is certainly at least as good a man as those opposing him, both here and in Russia itself.

People usually want things to be black-and-white, simple. Not everything is black-and-white. Look at modern history. There were people, some people, in the SS and even, rather later, in the KGB and GRU, who meant well, were relatively honourable, and who might be described in the superficial sense as “good” people, and there were those in the USA and UK, and also in the internal opposition(s) to both National Socialist and Soviet socialist rule, who were rather “bad” people.

If life is a chess game, it is often “three-dimensional chess”.

Wall. Squad. End.

It seems to me —as far as I have read etc— that Israel is now quite centralized on Tel Aviv and its region, though the Jerusalem area has as many or more inhabitants. The economy is centred on that region. The Israeli state can absorb a certain amount of conflict in border areas (Gaza, the Golan Heights and Northern Israel, even the West Bank), so long as the central belt around Tel Aviv is still functioning.

The increasing capabilities of Hezbollah, especially what seems to be their fast-upgraded missile programme, threaten Tel Aviv and the surrounding region. The Israeli ruling circles are therefore probably contemplating a massive attack on southern Lebanon to destroy the Hezbollah infrastructure before missiles of real power rain down on Tel Aviv.

The Israelis are willing to take a hit in terms of international perception of Israel, a public relations hit, and also an economic hit, so long as that Hezbollah infrastructure can be at least badly damaged.

Were Hezbollah or other powers able to heavily damage Tel Aviv itself, the Israeli economy would tank, and the exodus (?) of dual-passport Jews from Israel —30,000+ since October 2023— would become a flood.

Less an ordinary by-election, more a possible template for GE 2024. As I have blogged previously, there is a mood somewhere between anger and apathy, a mood which has become palpable in recent years, recent months.

The electorate now hates and despises the Conservative Party, whose governments now seem totally incompetent and ineffective. However, fake Labour is not much liked or respected either. “Least worst”, if you like.

As the Guardian report about Wellingborough indicates, that electoral mood leads people either to vote Labour as least-worst option, or to protest via Reform UK.

Sadly, no real social-national party is available.

The electorate’s present main emotion is wanting to stamp on the Government, on the misnamed Conservative Party, and on its MPs.

Talking point: a medical episode

I do not usually blog about any medical conditions that may impact me, but in this case something wider, about the NHS, is illustrated.

When I lived for a year in Kazakhstan (1996-1997), I suddenly became almost deaf at one point. Ear wax. The wife of a Russian colonel with whom I was friendly took me to a local hospital not far from where I lived; I think that it was about a mile up the same long boulevard, Prospekt Lenina.

The treatment was basic but effective. A giant “watering can” was filled with water. I was enjoined to kneel down with my head sideways over a large receptacle. A metal cone about 2 feet deep was then positioned over one of my ears. One nurse held the cone as the other poured the water quickly but steadily into the cone.

The feeling —not pain exactly, but pressure— was almost unbearable for a second. It reminded me of a couple of experiences during scuba dive training. Then it was over, and a plug of ear wax the size of a little finger was floating in the water. Blessed relief. Hearing was restored.

I think —cannot now recall— that either the treatment was free or involved a small fee. I wanted to give the nurses themselves some money, but Ludmilla, the colonel’s wife, told me that that would not be necessary. She was always saving me from “wasting” money (and/or from the odd blonde), as when we were at the “Zilyony Bazaar” (“Green Market”), the Central Market in Almaty, and she would not hear of me having my fortune told by an ancient Kazakh woman sitting on the ground, and who used small animal bones to do her divinations. Ludmilla was a strong character, a contrast to her very easy-going husband.

The next time I had a similar problem, about 2015, the local GP surgery made me an appointment to see a nurse. I did attend, but in fact felt OK by the time I attended, and the nurse said that she could not see any wax anyway. So nothing had to be done.

Well, here we are in 2024. I was informed by the same GP surgery that they “no longer offer” any ear wax removal. A private clinic was recommended. It operates out of a small and quiet NHS hospital in a coastal village about 5 miles from my home. I made the appointment. £15 non-refundable deposit and £65 for the treatment. I could have had it done earlier, but am in fact going next week.

So there it is. Something that used to be free on the NHS now has to be paid for, or no treatment. I am not exactly affluent these days, and even a sum as small as £80 is not nothing (as the Russians say), but one can well imagine that there are many who would struggle to find the fee demanded.

The NHS is less and less useful. Here we are, with GPs earning, in most cases, £100,000-£200,000 a year, monies coming out of all our taxes (even if, like me, you are not employed, you still pay out via VAT etc), and they no longer offer what was a minor but still very useful service. A sign of the way things are going.

The NHS lost its way many years ago. It now seems, often, to be run mainly for the benefit of those employed in it.

It is not just a question of supplying the NHS with more money, or higher staff salaries, bonuses etc. It is a question of making sure that the people are offered services, and that the outcomes are good. Also, that the people needing medical (and dental) help, and their families, are not messed around and ripped-off (eg by having to pay exorbitant parking fees).

At least I myself shall not have to pay for parking next week; having been to that small hospital once before, I know that parking is free, just as in the Good Old Days (or today in the USA, France and I think almost everywhere else).

Sorry to see that notice. I was a member of Lincoln’s Inn from 1986 until I was (wrongfully and unlawfully) disbarred in 2016, at which point my membership of the Inn was, effectively, terminated automatically.

As a very frequent user of Lincoln’s Inn Library, I knew Catherine for many years (1988 to about 2002). She was from the North (maybe North East) of England, from a family in a coal-mining community. Beyond that, I knew little of her personal life, though I believe that she got married at some point after having joined Lincoln’s Inn (and the photograph in that tweet, showing a ring, would seem to support that).

Mortality. It comes to us all. Catherine, I now see, was actually 6 years younger than me. It reminds us that we must stand up for truth and justice etc while we live, no matter what challenges the forces of Evil array against us.

Well, looked at from an ethics-free view (and/or from the Israeli point of view), that operation has the hallmarks of skill and cunning. Equally obviously, to kill patients prostrate in a hospital (one photo shows a single bullet-hole in the centre of a hospital pillow, with blood around it) is pretty abhorrent and, indeed, very wicked, something one would associate with the worst criminals and terrorists.

Frederick Forsyth was or is very pro-Israeli. I saw something from him once to the effect that terrorists who then gain state power (as happened in Israel/Palestine when the various Jew-Zionist terrorists of the Irgun, Palmach, Stern Gang /”Lehi” etc became part of the Israeli power structure) can leave their terrorism behind and become “normal” political leaders of “normal” states.

Forsyth’s view may have had its arguments when he was most fervently pro-Israel, in the 1960s, 1970s, but now the facts have changed or become more evident: Israel’s massacres of Arab civilians every few years, and of course the truth coming out more in the West about the ethnic cleansing (mass murder, and theft of land) carried out by the Jews in Israel/Palestine from 1948 to the present day.

Forsyth himself, who always strikes me as rather dim, at least politically, was cheated out of much of his invested money by a Jew he trusted (“Roger” Something), insult then being added to injury by the said Jew receiving a mere suspended sentence for the embezzlement of millions of pounds. That episode is, incidentally, absent from Wikipedia. “They” seem to have been “editing” (sabotaging) again…

Regular readers will be aware that I am to be sentenced tomorrow for allegedly having posted “grossly offensive” (anti-Jew-Zionist) material on 5 out of some 1,700 blog posts published since this blog started in late 2016.

It may be that part of the sentence will include a restriction on the publication of the blog. If so, the restriction might last for a year. We shall see.

Freedom of expression on political, social and even historical topics is as good as dead in the UK, and those responsible are, for the most part, those who may well be called “the usual suspects”.

What the Israeli Jews are doing in Gaza is not, under any reasonable or fair assessment, or view, “self-defence”. The killing of tens of thousands, almost all civilians, half of them under 18, a quarter (approximately) under 12 years of age. The wounding of several times that number.

I do not mean that they have “too much money” relative to me (that is very easy!) or even in relation to most people, or most wealthy people (“wealthy” in a more ordinary sense); no, what I mean is that people on the Musk, Bezos, Gates level of wealth literally have too much money.

The ultra-wealthy have so much money that they do not know what to do with it, except get a team of people working on how to further increase the hoard of wealth that the ultra-wealthy have already.

In the end, all it becomes is a kind of Masque of the Red Death game or competition; whoever has the most beans, the highest figures on a computer screen, is the winner. A winner, someone who has won something and nothing. Ask Steve Jobs. Oh…you can’t…

Some of the ultra-wealthy are themselves casting around, trying to find something worthy to do with at least some of their vast wealth. Merely being rich is not enough, not when you are that rich. Several of such people (eg Musk) are in control of assets worth around USD $220 BILLION, i.e. two hundred and twenty thousand million! When you consider that a massive mega-yacht might cost USD $500 million or, at most (?), USD $1 billion (thus costing the buyer maybe less than half of one percent of his asset-value), you see both the problem and the consequent frustration.

As for smaller toys (houses, estates, cars etc) they are as nothing in comparison to the wealth some hold. Even hugely “overpriced” artworks the same.

Look at the competition among a handful of the ultra-wealthy to build their own rockets. An exercise in showing off toys, really, the aim being what? To send groups of tourists into orbit? How pointless.

To have “too much” wealth (without putting any particular figure on it) is like eating 100 pizzas a day, drinking 10 bottles of Chateau Margaux each day, or even drinking 10 gallons of water, and is dangerous for a person’s health; in the case of wealth, also dangerous for society.

…and that is what it would be like in France under Marine le Pen, in Germany under the AfD, and in the UK under Farage or Reform UK. Controlled opposition. The touchstone is what any political group says about Israel, the Jew-Zionist lobby, and generally the “JQ”. If they are ideologically unsound on that, you can chuck them in the bin.

It is, apparently, “antisemitic” for non-Jews to play Jewish roles such as Robert Oppenheimer (the nuclear physicist) in a recent TV series, but Jews play white European roles all the time. Apparently, that’s OK (and, no doubt, to prevent that or even complain about it would be —you guessed it— “antisemitic“).

Blacks too, can play any European role (however absurdly), but I have yet to see a European actor playing Nelson Mandela or Muhammad Ali… That will never happen; if it did, our cities would burn to the ground (be burned to the ground).

As noted many times on this blog, the propaganda is not aimed at the adult audience, primarily; the main target is the under-18 demographic, especially children, and the aim is to normalize the existence, and prominence, of non-whites in every part of our society, even when (as in almost any European historical setting) there were no blacks at all. It’s almost funny…just as the Soviet Union and the whole “East bloc” (and almost all Western observers) pretended, during the 1980s, that its system, way of life etc would go on pretty much forever (only to find that all that collapsed almost, not quite, overnight in various socialist states in 1989, 1990, 1991), the UK ruling groups are themselves pretty much stuck in a bubble of belief not unalike that Soviet/socialist mindset.

I saw the “East bloc” a few times in the late 1980s, and had a lot of contact with Soviet and ex-Soviet people all through that decade. I get a similar feeling looking at our UK society. The facade is still there, but it is held together with string and glue…

Look at this latest “conscript the British public to fight Russia” nonsense. To some extent, it may be an attempt to prevent the wipe-out of the Conservative Party at GE 2024, but it goes much wider than that. Similar nonsense has come out of Washington, Brussels, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Finland in the past 2 weeks.

In the UK, there seem to be Army top brass, as well as many members of the public, who believe that not only should the UK “fight Russia” but that “we” can (also, note the illusion that the UK is still a “nation”…). Also, that the projected (promoted?) Third World War (against Russia) will be somewhat like a conflation of WW1 and WW2. The usual mistake— “fighting the last war”.

I have as yet seen no colourful graphics from the Daily Mail, Express etc describing vividly what the blasted and irradiated remnant of the UK might be like after a nuclear war…

Sounds desperate. Maybe, though, that is how John Rentoul and the other Westminster Bubble people really think— that the past 10-20 years in the UK has been really great… maybe life has been, for them and, overall, about 5% of the population…

So a general heating of the political/military atmosphere of the world this year.

Always interesting to see the areas where such events took place. En route back across Europe by car (Turkey to UK) in the summer 2001, my wife and I stumbled upon a small family-run hotel in the Ardennes.

On its own, with no houses nearby, and on a minor road. All around, the country was heavily-wooded, and the hotel (a large 19thC house with a pleasant garden) had had a small restaurant extension added circa 1960 (I think), looking like —and furnished in— the style of some of the scenes in the film North by Northwest.

As we dined, initially alone in the restaurant (later, one other couple appeared, but I think that we were the only other hotel guests), we were told by the waitress (a young woman, one of the owning family) that during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944, that house had been the headquarters (or one such) for the American commander, Patton, and that we were occupying the room that Patton himself had used as a bedroom during part of those times (either during or after the actual battle; the exact details were not specified).

The norm in the past has been for the opinion polls to narrow as a general election approaches. This time, with only 10 months to go, and possibly only 8 months, the polls are widening. Why?

For me it is clear that the widening is not because the voters love fake (and Zionist-ruled) “Labour”, and/or wishy-washy bureaucrat-dictator Starmer, but because they —including many former Con voters— actually now hate —and I do mean hate— this incompetent and hopeless “Conservative” government, and want to stamp on it until it dies. They want to kill off (politically) as many Con Party MPs as possible.

No point in going again through all the reasons, but part of, or added to, that long list would obviously be the endless pseudo-“tough” talk on immigration combined with no action whatsoever. Also, now, the craven “support” given to the evil Israeli regime and the UK Jewish lobby; also now the billions (more) being wasted on “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime), together with the suggestion that the UK should be placed on a war footing (notionally against Russia), with whatever civil rights still existing removed (eg the fast-disappearing free speech rights). Even the reintroduction of conscription or “National Service”. Madness.

Rain, sleet, and no shelter or any food for many. Meanwhile, the Jews (both in and out of Israel) claim that their ancestors had it worse in early/mid 1940s Poland, and that their actions in Gaza are legitimate “self-defence”…

That should be the stance taken by all European political leaders.

“Containment” is not at all necessary, because Russia in 2024 has no ideology that would make expansion in any way its national goal, as contrasted with pre-1990s Soviet Marxism-Leninism.

“Ukraine” should really consist of only the territory west of the Dnieper.

However rough, and in places savage, was the Hamas attack in October, the Israelis have now killed tens of thousands in what amounts to a quasi-genocidal retaliation. The wounded, many badly wounded (amputations, mutilations etc), must be approaching a hundred thousand in number. Half have been under-18, and a quarter, more or less, small children and babies.

The Jews, not only in Israel, but in the UK, USA, France etc have tried to justify such terrible retaliation as “self-defence” but, certainly after the first few days, that really does not wash.

There is also the point that, if some of the Palestinian Arabs sometimes behave monstrously, it is mainly because they have been made monstrous, over 70-80 years, by the Israelis.

War has, of course, a human cost. Sometimes there is no alternative to war, but often there is.

One sometimes wonders what drives System political drones such as Angela Rayner. Political tribalism, aka Labour right or wrong? Personal (inc. financial) selfishness, or acquisitiveness? Egoism and/or egotism?

Hard for me to understand, because I have always been described by others (not always favourably, though) as an idealist. I suppose that I could have joined, in youth, one of the two main System parties, which might have led eventually to a Parliamentary seat and —who knows?— to a ministerial portfolio, perhaps even to the Cabinet.

I am, however, not a careerist. In the end, ideology, belief, truth matters to me; policy matters to me; results matter to me; beyond that, the well-being of people and animals matters to me.

What incredible impudence! The German Government is going to gift the Kiev regime 80 more tanks, and 450 other armoured vehicles. This is almost direct involvement in the war.

Russia has not, as yet, deployed more than a small fraction of its mighty military-destructive power. The West must back-pedal on the present headlong rush to regional and even world war.

I can only hope that the prevailing winds across the UK continue to blow from west to east…

The inhabitants of Gaza are now worse off than were the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto in the early 1940s. History can certainly take some surprising turns.

Gaza was, after all, the location for the fight between David and Goliath.

One of the most interesting pieces of news I have read recently is that 14% of Israelis with dual nationality have fled the country in the past 3 months. Israel is doomed.

What we, those of us interested in the future of the European peoples, must do is to prepare as best we can for what might well be the situation after the next great war. Preservation of a core of European humanity, and the foundation of a society to provide a basis for a superculture, indeed for successive supercultures of the far future. Maggie Fleming Animal Hospice

A regular reader of the blog alerted me yesterday to what sounds like a wonderful animal-welfare place in Scotland.

The worst bit is over and now it’s time to enjoy life, find love, and enjoy the things that make them come alive. 

I started The Maggie Fleming Animal Hospice in March 2016 in memory of my friend Maggie who died alone and in a lot of pain at the vet hospital. You can read more about Maggie here. Maggie had died alone and I thought I’d never be able to smile or laugh or love again, but even though I could hardly think for the grief, the words ‘The Maggie Fleming Animal Hospice’ came into my mind, and once the thought was there it wasn’t going to loosen its grip any. Six months and a few signs along the way later the hospice was born.

When new folk arrive, I promise them that for so long as they want to be here life will be good, and when the day comes and they are tired and they have had enough, I’ll listen even if it’s the last thing in the world I want to hear, and we’ll face it together.

The hospice and sanctuary gives life-long and end-of-life care to terminally-ill companion and farmed animals who have been abandoned in the final stages of their lives or who would otherwise have lived and died in the food system. The hospice and sanctuary Waltons-esque family – 154 at last count – is made up of hens, cockerels, sheep, pigs, cats, dogs, quail, turkeys, and as of spring 2021, nine lambs. 

Comfort, kindness, respect, compassion, dignity, joy and freedom – altogether, love – make life worth living, no matter how long we get to enjoy the ride. Whatever shape carries us through this world, in my experience of facing death with so many of my friends, ultimately in life and in death we all want the same things. We run towards  security and comfort, contentment and trust – love – and we cower away from worry, loneliness, pain and fear – the absence of love.“

Blacks are far more susceptible to schizophrenia than white people. Not “prejudice” but fact. In fact, I can remember one incident from the time when I was in chambers in London in 1993 and did a regular voluntary Saturday morning stint at a law centre in an inner city neighbourhood.

A respectable-looking black woman, apparently a nursing sister from, if I recall, Swindon, was telling me all about the abuse she had endured from her (white/English) colleagues at her place of work. It sounded terrible. Abused daily (because of “racism”, of course), and assaulted. They had even tried to inject her with something, holding her down to do so.

I asked questions to clarify what had actually happened. As the story was politely probed, the supposed nurse began to sweat slightly, and started to look uncomfortable as the inconsistencies came out. She left, eventually, when the nonsense became apparent even to her.

All in her mind, of course. No-one had assaulted her, no-one had tried to inject her.

Another time, an old black woman was convinced that her neighbours were beaming waves of some sort through the wall at her. Other allegations were also made, which might have had serious consequences had anyone believed them..

As far as I know, it has not been discovered why blacks are more likely than Europeans to be schizophrenic.

Incidentally, were the facts of yesterday’s case not so unpleasant, I should find it amusing that, while MI5 wastes so much time tracking and snooping on so called “far right” people, certain blogs etc, they all but ignore an obvious menace like the defendant above, who actually tried to gatecrash their own HQ. They did not even pass the details on to the police, it seems.
