“Four of the Royal Navy’s smallest ships are preparing to head to the Arctic to represent Britain in a major NATO exercise after the fleet’s largest ship, the £3bn HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, was forced to pull out due to a ‘propeller issue’.
Four tiny P2000s, which normally patrol coastlines with crews of five, were seen making final preparations before heading to Norway for NATO’s largest joint exercise since the Cold War amid fears of escalating tensions on Europe’s eastern border.
Notably absent from today’s preparations was the 65,000-ton aircraft carrier, usually manned by a team of 780, which experts say could be docked for ‘a couple of months’ as engineers scramble to fix it. “

“Police broke up a snaking queue that formed outside a newly-opened NHS dental practice today, in scenes which illustrate the appointments crisis plaguing millions of desperate Brits.
One person stuck in the line outside the surgery in Bristol’s St Paul’s district was a disabled cancer patient who ‘had no choice’ but to brave the cold.
Meanwhile, a carer in her late 70s who chose to sit down on the path after waiting since 8.30am slammed the unacceptable delays.
A local news website compared the queue, eventually shut by police at 2.15pm, as being ‘reminiscent of Soviet-era Eastern Europe’, where queues for basic goods like food were an infamous part of daily life.“

I was blogging several years ago about how basic services in the UK were gradually ceasing to work. Journalists started to catch up with me a few years ago. Now, almost everyone accepts it as a fact.
Happened to come across the local history piece above. I was struck by the relatively lenient sentences. The ringleader (caught ripping off a bank, and in possession of gelignite, detonators etc), got 4 years. He had 10 previous convictions. Even in those days, when people convicted did either 2/3 or 3/4 of their sentence (I forget) rather than half (as today, in most cases), he would have still been out in about 2-3 years. That was in 1962. He would get far longer today.

“A Metropolitan Police officer charged with multiple rapes tied up one alleged victim and threatened to ‘slit’ her with a knife, a court heard yesterday.
Cliff Mitchell, 24, came under investigation by colleagues after his alleged victim was seen trying to escape from his car, her wrists bound with cable ties, it is claimed.
His fellow officers were summoned, and after that ‘harrowing’ incident, in September last year, an investigation began, Croydon Crown Court was told, leading to a series of allegations against the policeman.
Yesterday Mitchell, who is no longer in the force, faced 13 counts of rapeagainst two alleged victims. Six charges relate to one female – including one when she was aged just 12.“

Europe has already been devastated within living memory. The leaders of Europe, particularly in the councils of NATO and the EU, must stop provoking another and even more devastating war.
me too – never imagining the depth and breadth of dehumanising hatred of the Jews especially among the " cultured classes" utterly unable to find a shred of sympathetic solidarity with people murdered, raped, mutilated, burned. Thus it has been, for centuries – a shock it's now https://t.co/4ADh0HKy0J
After that first day in October 2023, which side has been doing the “murdering, mutilating, and burning”? (maybe not raping, I do not know).
As always, “they” see only their own hurt (whether actual or imagined). As someone once said, “they” can feel themselves to be the “victim” even as they beat you…
As for that specimen being interviewed— ghastly.
For me, and surely objectively, the idea that, after an admittedly egregious attack (by Hamas) lasting some hours, or one 24-hour period, the Israeli response has been “proportionate” or “self-defence” (killing or wounding, so far, about 100,000, mostly women and children, and young persons under-18), is almost mad. Completely disproportionate, and way beyond anything reasonably describable as “self-defence”.
The Hamas/Gazan side does not have planes, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, really powerful missiles, bombs etc.
After the initial one-day attack from Gaza in October 2023, and arguably a day or so later, nothing the Israeli side has done can possibly be called “proportionate” or “in self-defence“.

Interesting. Whatever one may say about China in terms of human rights, animal welfare etc, its advancement since the 1980s, in technological and other areas, has been phenomenal. As a matter of fact, one could make a case that even in the animal welfare and human rights areas, there has been an improvement, overall, since the days of Mao.
The Chinese people, though alarming in a sense, being so numerous etc, are certainly one of the great peoples of the world.

Less an ordinary by-election, more a possible template for GE 2024. As I have blogged previously, there is a mood somewhere between anger and apathy, a mood which has become palpable in recent years, recent months.
The electorate now hates and despises the Conservative Party, whose governments now seem totally incompetent and ineffective. However, fake Labour is not much liked or respected either. “Least worst”, if you like.
As the Guardian report about Wellingborough indicates, that electoral mood leads people either to vote Labour as least-worst option, or to protest via Reform UK.
Sadly, no real social-national party is available.
The electorate’s present main emotion is wanting to stamp on the Government, on the misnamed Conservative Party, and on its MPs.
“A BBC editor was hired as an expert witness to help at least 15 Somalian criminals fight deportation – including a vile offender who sexually attacked a deaf teenage girl.
Now an investigation by this newspaper can reveal Ms Harper has givenexpert witness evidence in a string of other controversial deportation appeals by Somali offenders – including for another three sex attackers, three drug dealers and a career criminal who spent a decade in British jails.
In one of the most shocking cases, Ms Harper warned that a Somali man who committed a horrific sexual assault on a profoundly deaf 17-year-old girl would be at ‘severely heightened risk’ if he was sent back to Somalia because he had committed a sex crime.
A judge disagreed and threw out his appeal against deportation. Astonishingly, this newspaper has discovered that, 16 months later, the 29-year-old attacker, who the MoS is banned from naming by a court order, has still not been kicked out of Britain and is living with relatives in a council flat.”

Talking point: a medical episode
I do not usually blog about any medical conditions that may impact me, but in this case something wider, about the NHS, is illustrated.
When I lived for a year in Kazakhstan (1996-1997), I suddenly became almost deaf at one point. Ear wax. The wife of a Russian colonel with whom I was friendly took me to a local hospital not far from where I lived; I think that it was about a mile up the same long boulevard, Prospekt Lenina.
The treatment was basic but effective. A giant “watering can” was filled with water. I was enjoined to kneel down with my head sideways over a large receptacle. A metal cone about 2 feet deep was then positioned over one of my ears. One nurse held the cone as the other poured the water quickly but steadily into the cone.
The feeling —not pain exactly, but pressure— was almost unbearable for a second. It reminded me of a couple of experiences during scuba dive training. Then it was over, and a plug of ear wax the size of a little finger was floating in the water. Blessed relief. Hearing was restored.
I think —cannot now recall— that either the treatment was free or involved a small fee. I wanted to give the nurses themselves some money, but Ludmilla, the colonel’s wife, told me that that would not be necessary. She was always saving me from “wasting” money (and/or from the odd blonde), as when we were at the “Zilyony Bazaar” (“Green Market”), the Central Market in Almaty, and she would not hear of me having my fortune told by an ancient Kazakh woman sitting on the ground, and who used small animal bones to do her divinations. Ludmilla was a strong character, a contrast to her very easy-going husband.
The next time I had a similar problem, about 2015, the local GP surgery made me an appointment to see a nurse. I did attend, but in fact felt OK by the time I attended, and the nurse said that she could not see any wax anyway. So nothing had to be done.
Well, here we are in 2024. I was informed by the same GP surgery that they “no longer offer” any ear wax removal. A private clinic was recommended. It operates out of a small and quiet NHS hospital in a coastal village about 5 miles from my home. I made the appointment. £15 non-refundable deposit and £65 for the treatment. I could have had it done earlier, but am in fact going next week.
So there it is. Something that used to be free on the NHS now has to be paid for, or no treatment. I am not exactly affluent these days, and even a sum as small as £80 is not nothing (as the Russians say), but one can well imagine that there are many who would struggle to find the fee demanded.
The NHS is less and less useful. Here we are, with GPs earning, in most cases, £100,000-£200,000 a year, monies coming out of all our taxes (even if, like me, you are not employed, you still pay out via VAT etc), and they no longer offer what was a minor but still very useful service. A sign of the way things are going.
The NHS lost its way many years ago. It now seems, often, to be run mainly for the benefit of those employed in it.
It is not just a question of supplying the NHS with more money, or higher staff salaries, bonuses etc. It is a question of making sure that the people are offered services, and that the outcomes are good. Also, that the people needing medical (and dental) help, and their families, are not messed around and ripped-off (eg by having to pay exorbitant parking fees).
At least I myself shall not have to pay for parking next week; having been to that small hospital once before, I know that parking is free, just as in the Good Old Days (or today in the USA, France and I think almost everywhere else).

The very concept of “free speech” is heavily under threat already in the UK (mainly from Jew-Zionists and the Israel lobby, and from unthinking police, CPS, and other “official” drones), but now we see that people are being criminalized simply for having it assumed that they are thinking something!

You see the Aaronovitch type of argument all the time from the “politically correct”/”woke” rabble: “British people commit crimes, so any riff-raff off the boat who commit crimes should not be deported.” Or…”some British people are sex offenders, so we must not characterize the “British” Pakistani community as harbouring a large number of rape gangs targeting young (real British) girls, because that harms ‘diversity’.”

Well, in the American phrase, “what goes around comes around”. By 2029, or 2034, Iran, other states around Israel, even Hezbollah, maybe even Hamas, will have far more sophisticated missiles and drones. I wonder what will happen then?
Those Israeli soldiers and their families may, in 5 or 10 years, be themselves “victims”, and will no doubt be able anyway to pose as such.

Israel presents an image of national unity, usually. The deep rifts within its society are hidden from view much of the time. Having said that, the only Israeli prime minister to have been assassinated (Rabin) was killed not by an Arab but by a Jew, and one supposedly connected with the Shin Beth security org. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yitzhak_Rabin#Assassination_and_aftermath.

The Jewish “human rights” lawyers in the UK have been remarkably quiet since Israeli forces started to kill or horribly wound tens of thousands of Gazan women and children; not to mention terrorizing the survivors, who are living in hunger and squalor.
The Israel Broadcasting Corporation reveals: "3,000 soldiers have undergone treatment at the army's psychiatric ward since the start of the Gaza war."
Still, I suppose that someone (of any race or nation) who is involved in the mass slaughter of women and children is quite likely to face psychological disturbance.
Any real British government would not accept these American weapons on British soil. They make the UK even more of a potential target.

Yet more evidence of how ridiculous Britain's post-Brexit immigration policy really is. We were promised high-skill, high-wage, highly-selective, low-cost immigration. Instead we got low-skill, low-wage, non-selective, non-graduate & high-cost immigrationhttps://t.co/9mY88fZaM7https://t.co/RlJshYXNhO
The Office for National Statistics just forecast that between today and 2036 Britain's population will grow by 6.6 million people –6.1 million of which will be due to international net migration
…and the rest will be from births to immigrant or previously immigrant or other non-white mothers.
If a social-national government cannot take power within the next decade, Britain is doomed and British society will become a chaotic and brutal dystopia.

“Exclusive: BBC staff are being told not to hire candidates who are “dismissive” of diversity and inclusion. A recruitment policy document says that applicants should be asked to “what opportunities do you see for you to promote, celebrate or encourage diversity and inclusion in your role?”
The guidelines tell recruiters “don’t hire; [candidates who are] unsuited to the organisation” if they are “dismissive or derisory of diversity and inclusion and surrounding topics”.
Managers are also directed not to offer jobs to candidates if they show a “lack of interest in learning more where no evidence of education and understanding of diversity and inclusion was given”.
Commenting on the recruitment guidelines, a BBC source said: “The BBC is not a welcoming place for those with conservative opinions. Management talks about diversity, without embracing diversity of thought.
The place that I have given years of my working life, and that I sincerely cherish, currently feels captured by Left-wing activists and is unable to deliver on our core principle of impartiality.”
“Hiring on the basis of adherence to diversity and inclusion ideology excludes most conservative-minded people, and indeed much of the population.”
[Steven Edginton, Daily Telegraph].
The BBC, even more than other msm, is a nest of treachery and evil, as shown by its propaganda output during the “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic.

It is with great regret that we report the death of Catherine McArdle, Deputy Librarian. Catherine passed away peacefully on Sunday 28 January. — The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn (@lincolnsinn) January 30, 2024
Sorry to see that notice. I was a member of Lincoln’s Inn from 1986 until I was (wrongfully and unlawfully) disbarred in 2016, at which point my membership of the Inn was, effectively, terminated automatically.
As a very frequent user of Lincoln’s Inn Library, I knew Catherine for many years (1988 to about 2002). She was from the North (maybe North East) of England, from a family in a coal-mining community. Beyond that, I knew little of her personal life, though I believe that she got married at some point after having joined Lincoln’s Inn (and the photograph in that tweet, showing a ring, would seem to support that).
A nice person.
[The Library, Lincoln’s Inn, London]
Mortality. It comes to us all. Catherine, I now see, was actually 6 years younger than me. It reminds us that we must stand up for truth and justice etc while we live, no matter what challenges the forces of Evil array against us.
The brave IDF dressing up as women and medical staff to murder 3 patients they allege are ‘terrorists’ in a hospital Now tell me Israel is a normal, democratic state pic.twitter.com/5swxmmX0q6
Well, looked at from an ethics-free view (and/or from the Israeli point of view), that operation has the hallmarks of skill and cunning. Equally obviously, to kill patients prostrate in a hospital (one photo shows a single bullet-hole in the centre of a hospital pillow, with blood around it) is pretty abhorrent and, indeed, very wicked, something one would associate with the worst criminals and terrorists.
Frederick Forsyth was or is very pro-Israeli. I saw something from him once to the effect that terrorists who then gain state power (as happened in Israel/Palestine when the various Jew-Zionist terrorists of the Irgun, Palmach, Stern Gang /”Lehi” etc became part of the Israeli power structure) can leave their terrorism behind and become “normal” political leaders of “normal” states.
Forsyth’s view may have had its arguments when he was most fervently pro-Israel, in the 1960s, 1970s, but now the facts have changed or become more evident: Israel’s massacres of Arab civilians every few years, and of course the truth coming out more in the West about the ethnic cleansing (mass murder, and theft of land) carried out by the Jews in Israel/Palestine from 1948 to the present day.
Forsyth himself, who always strikes me as rather dim, at least politically, was cheated out of much of his invested money by a Jew he trusted (“Roger” Something), insult then being added to injury by the said Jew receiving a mere suspended sentence for the embezzlement of millions of pounds. That episode is, incidentally, absent from Wikipedia. “They” seem to have been “editing” (sabotaging) again…

Regular readers will be aware that I am to be sentenced tomorrow for allegedly having posted “grossly offensive” (anti-Jew-Zionist) material on 5 out of some 1,700 blog posts published since this blog started in late 2016.
It may be that part of the sentence will include a restriction on the publication of the blog. If so, the restriction might last for a year. We shall see.
Freedom of expression on political, social and even historical topics is as good as dead in the UK, and those responsible are, for the most part, those who may well be called “the usual suspects”.
I hope to resume blogging soon, but if that proves not to be the case, I wish all well-intentioned readers well, and hope to resume transmission in due course.
Update, 28 July 2026
I should have updated this post earlier, not waited two and a half years.
Well, I was not, in the end, sentenced until mid-March 2024 (for having published the truth), because the underwhelming Counsel (instructed by the infested/suborned Clown Prosecution “Service”) was pressured by the CPS —but really by the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”— to make a doomed and poorly-drafted application to restrict my blogging (which continued on a near-daily basis right through the process of police snooping, trial, sentencing, and punishment, and still continues).
Regular readers will know that I am to be sentenced this week for allegedly having posted certain material on five (5) posts of this blog during 2020-2022.
Please be advised that it is possible (I do not know for sure) that the Crown will ask for my blog to be shut down for a year. So, if the blog soon ceases to publish new material, you will know why.
If that happens, “normal service” will be resumed later, probably this time next year.
I would not usually repost material from someone such as Myerson, but needs must.
The attitude of that Special Constable is not confined to the ranks of the “Specials”, or the “PCSO” joke police “co-workers”. I have had considerable trouble myself over the past decade with “real” police who, however, often do not actually know the law they purport to be laying down, and/or who invent their own version of the law and even, worse, have insisted to me that their cartoon version of the law is correct.
Over-estimation of their own lawful powers, unwillingness to listen to reason or the truth, and an attitude that they know best (they don’t). That is even before we get into the suborning of the UK police (sometimes up to “Police and Crime Commissioner” level) by Jew-Zionist cabals.
Look at what happened during the 2020-2022 panicdemic/scamdemic. Policemen, right up to Chief Constable level, demanding to know what shoppers had just bought in supermarkets so that they, the plods, could “decide”, in their “wisdom”, whether said shopping was “reasonable”.
Then we had police shouting from drones, at elderly couples walking on moors or hills, that they should go home, and sole campers or couples arrested at the behest of panicked and stupid farmers or others. All because of “Covid”, which in reality was killing hardly anyone. A stampede of fear-driven stupidity.
All too many people gave in to that kind of semi-lawless bullying by the police and those directing them.
Likewise, we now see that a considerable amount of police time is wasted —at the behest of “them” (((the usual suspects)))— on snooping upon blogs such as this, or upon social media, instead of the police doing their proper job.

The Ukrainian army has 880,000 people. And when we say that the whole world financially supports Ukraine, I would like to draw attention to where exactly the largest part of this money remains.
Thanks to Germany for allocating money to Ukrainian refugees, but it is necessary for Berlin to transfer this money to the budget of Ukraine, and Kyiv itself will distribute it to Ukrainians ,” said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.“

Rishi Sunak should save his party and the country by offering the British people a referendum on reducing mass immigration. It is the only thing that would give him a chance at the looming election. Here's whyhttps://t.co/cDIasJFYIn

7 in 8 of nearly 40,000 people would prefer Putin as UK Prime Minister over Sunak or Starmer. pic.twitter.com/0sSFFbQvYU
Unscientific, of course, but I think that it still says something, even if popular support for Putin in the UK is half or a quarter of the figure above.
Putin may not be a “nice person” (are Sunak, Starmer, and Schwab?) but he is effective, most of the time. Sunak and Starmer are dull nobodies, really, for all their career “success” and/or money. As for Schwab, just evil; sinister.
I saw Moscow in 1993. Russia was on its knees. It was until about 2000. Russians over the age of, say, thirty years of age, remember those days. I returned in 2007. Amazing difference (though the rough edges were still there).
Because (((the usual suspects))) own or influence the Western msm…
Another talking point
“South Africa – 1st for deaths by knife globally – 8th highest murder rate globally – a woman is more likely to be raped than learn to read – 32% unemployment rate – [only] 46% of children in secondary education.”
[from a tweet seen]
…and yet the whole System mass media, all the fake “celebrities”, all the “antifa” dimwits, pretty much all the Labour Party membership etc still think that South Africa is better than it was in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s. They still think that thick-as-two-short planks Nelson Mandela was both saintly and incredibly intelligent (in fact, he was a would-be terrorist leader who turned to African revolution at the age of 42, and after having failed his law degree several times, and the only reason he was not an active terrorist leader is because he was so inept at conspiracy, and was arrested before he could start a race war against South African whites).
Few people in the West are aware of the true facts, or that those behind Mandela and his botched race-war terror strategy were Jews, including at least one formerly involved in the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem in 1946: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_David_Hotel_bombing.
South Africa may have needed reform in the 1960-1990 period, but African “majority rule” was always going to be disastrous. It has been.
Not long ago British progressives were gushing over Joe Biden's immigration policy, saying we should replicate it in Britain. Now? Even the Economist admits it's a total disaster https://t.co/pvN2UoRskN
What the Israeli Jews are doing in Gaza is not, under any reasonable or fair assessment, or view, “self-defence”. The killing of tens of thousands, almost all civilians, half of them under 18, a quarter (approximately) under 12 years of age. The wounding of several times that number.
The Jew/Zionist lobby in the UK and elsewhere is, on the whole, supportive of the actions of the Israeli state. Their cries of “nothing to do with us, guv!” ring very hollow.
Possibly interesting, but without detailed knowledge of the Israeli order of battle in the Gaza operation, meaningless. I have no such knowledge, so the intelligence noted is not useful to me.
The news broadcast is in Arabic and (judging by the device at bottom right) is from Al Jazeera.

Anything taken to an excess, to an absurd excess, is just out of concordance with the Universe and reality in the macro sense.
When I look at Elon Musk, or that odd little man Jeff Bezos, or Bill Gates, or (before he went up the chimney) Steve Jobs, or the myriad “Russian” (mostly Jew) “oligarchs”, my primary thought is “they have too much money“.
I do not mean that they have “too much money” relative to me (that is very easy!) or even in relation to most people, or most wealthy people (“wealthy” in a more ordinary sense); no, what I mean is that people on the Musk, Bezos, Gates level of wealth literally have too much money.
The ultra-wealthy have so much money that they do not know what to do with it, except get a team of people working on how to further increase the hoard of wealth that the ultra-wealthy have already.
In the end, all it becomes is a kind of Masque of the Red Death game or competition; whoever has the most beans, the highest figures on a computer screen, is the winner. A winner, someone who has won something and nothing. Ask Steve Jobs. Oh…you can’t…
Some of the ultra-wealthy are themselves casting around, trying to find something worthy to do with at least some of their vast wealth. Merely being rich is not enough, not when you are that rich. Several of such people (eg Musk) are in control of assets worth around USD $220 BILLION, i.e. two hundred and twenty thousand million! When you consider that a massive mega-yacht might cost USD $500 million or, at most (?), USD $1 billion (thus costing the buyer maybe less than half of one percent of his asset-value), you see both the problem and the consequent frustration.
As for smaller toys (houses, estates, cars etc) they are as nothing in comparison to the wealth some hold. Even hugely “overpriced” artworks the same.
Look at the competition among a handful of the ultra-wealthy to build their own rockets. An exercise in showing off toys, really, the aim being what? To send groups of tourists into orbit? How pointless.
To have “too much” wealth (without putting any particular figure on it) is like eating 100 pizzas a day, drinking 10 bottles of Chateau Margaux each day, or even drinking 10 gallons of water, and is dangerous for a person’s health; in the case of wealth, also dangerous for society.

…and that is what it would be like in France under Marine le Pen, in Germany under the AfD, and in the UK under Farage or Reform UK. Controlled opposition. The touchstone is what any political group says about Israel, the Jew-Zionist lobby, and generally the “JQ”. If they are ideologically unsound on that, you can chuck them in the bin.
It is, apparently, “antisemitic” for non-Jews to play Jewish roles such as Robert Oppenheimer (the nuclear physicist) in a recent TV series, but Jews play white European roles all the time. Apparently, that’s OK (and, no doubt, to prevent that or even complain about it would be —you guessed it— “antisemitic“).
Blacks too, can play any European role (however absurdly), but I have yet to see a European actor playing Nelson Mandela or Muhammad Ali… That will never happen; if it did, our cities would burn to the ground (be burned to the ground).
As noted many times on this blog, the propaganda is not aimed at the adult audience, primarily; the main target is the under-18 demographic, especially children, and the aim is to normalize the existence, and prominence, of non-whites in every part of our society, even when (as in almost any European historical setting) there were no blacks at all. Also, to normalize mixed-race breeding.

It’s almost funny…just as the Soviet Union and the whole “East bloc” (and almost all Western observers) pretended, during the 1980s, that its system, way of life etc would go on pretty much forever (only to find that all that collapsed almost, not quite, overnight in various socialist states in 1989, 1990, 1991), the UK ruling groups are themselves pretty much stuck in a bubble of belief not unalike that Soviet/socialist mindset.
I saw the “East bloc” a few times in the late 1980s, and had a lot of contact with Soviet and ex-Soviet people all through that decade. I get a similar feeling looking at our UK society. The facade is still there, but it is held together with string and glue…
Look at this latest “conscript the British public to fight Russia” nonsense. To some extent, it may be an attempt to prevent the wipe-out of the Conservative Party at GE 2024, but it goes much wider than that. Similar nonsense has come out of Washington, Brussels, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Finland in the past 2 weeks.
In the UK, there seem to be Army top brass, as well as many members of the public, who believe that not only should the UK “fight Russia” but that “we” can (also, note the illusion that the UK is still a “nation”…). Also, that the projected (promoted?) Third World War (against Russia) will be somewhat like a conflation of WW1 and WW2. The usual mistake— “fighting the last war”.
I have as yet seen no colourful graphics from the Daily Mail, Express etc describing vividly what the blasted and irradiated remnant of the UK might be like after a nuclear war…

#BillyBraggIsAWanker… I'm more interested in why the Battle of the Bulge is trending. I met some Waffen SS veterans in the early 80s. A couple of them fought in it with Kampfgruppe Peiper
Hitler Jugend division, mostly 17 year olds, but officered by Liebestandarte veterans and commanded by Fritz Witt, Kurt "Panzer" Meyer (also captured at Falaise) and Wilhelm Mohnke. Fearsome soldiers. Your dad was lucky
Always interesting to see the areas where such events took place. En route back across Europe by car (Turkey to UK) in the summer 2001, my wife and I stumbled upon a small family-run hotel in the Ardennes.
On its own, with no houses nearby, and on a minor road. All around, the country was heavily-wooded, and the hotel (a large 19thC house with a pleasant garden) had had a small restaurant extension added circa 1960 (I think), looking like —and furnished in— the style of some of the scenes in the film North by Northwest.
As we dined, initially alone in the restaurant (later, one other couple appeared, but I think that we were the only other hotel guests), we were told by the waitress (a young woman, one of the owning family) that during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944, that house had been the headquarters (or one such) for the American commander, Patton, and that we were occupying the room that Patton himself had used as a bedroom during part of those times (either during or after the actual battle; the exact details were not specified).

The norm in the past has been for the opinion polls to narrow as a general election approaches. This time, with only 10 months to go, and possibly only 8 months, the polls are widening. Why?
For me it is clear that the widening is not because the voters love fake (and Zionist-ruled) “Labour”, and/or wishy-washy bureaucrat-dictator Starmer, but because they —including many former Con voters— actually now hate —and I do mean hate— this incompetent and hopeless “Conservative” government, and want to stamp on it until it dies. They want to kill off (politically) as many Con Party MPs as possible.
No point in going again through all the reasons, but part of, or added to, that long list would obviously be the endless pseudo-“tough” talk on immigration combined with no action whatsoever. Also, now, the craven “support” given to the evil Israeli regime and the UK Jewish lobby; also now the billions (more) being wasted on “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime), together with the suggestion that the UK should be placed on a war footing (notionally against Russia), with whatever civil rights still existing removed (eg the fast-disappearing free speech rights). Even the reintroduction of conscription or “National Service”. Madness.

▪️However, the "principle of containment" of Russia, modeled on the one that operated during the Cold War, is necessary, said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. pic.twitter.com/tfFp0X8dBn
“Containment” is not at all necessary, because Russia in 2024 has no ideology that would make expansion in any way its national goal, as contrasted with pre-1990s Soviet Marxism-Leninism.
After the unsuccessful counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the US administration is developing a new strategy for them that does not foresee the return of lost territories , writes the "Washington Post". pic.twitter.com/jjspOGLUuB
However rough, and in places savage, was the Hamas attack in October, the Israelis have now killed tens of thousands in what amounts to a quasi-genocidal retaliation. The wounded, many badly wounded (amputations, mutilations etc), must be approaching a hundred thousand in number. Half have been under-18, and a quarter, more or less, small children and babies.
The Jews, not only in Israel, but in the UK, USA, France etc have tried to justify such terrible retaliation as “self-defence” but, certainly after the first few days, that really does not wash.
There is also the point that, if some of the Palestinian Arabs sometimes behave monstrously, it is mainly because they have been made monstrous, over 70-80 years, by the Israelis.
War has, of course, a human cost. Sometimes there is no alternative to war, but often there is.
"I LOST MY FAMILY IN GAZA!" A Palestinian who lost his mother, brother & nieces to Israel's bombing in Gaza confronts Angela Raynor & the Labour Party at a Stockport fundraiser. One sometimes wonders what drives System political drones such as Angela Rayner. Political tribalism, aka Labour right or wrong? Personal (inc. financial) selfishness, or acquisitiveness? Egoism and/or egotism?
Hard for me to understand, because I have always been described by others (not always favourably, though) as an idealist. I suppose that I could have joined, in youth, one of the two main System parties, which might have led eventually to a Parliamentary seat and —who knows?— to a ministerial portfolio, perhaps even to the Cabinet.
I am, however, not a careerist. In the end, ideology, belief, truth matters to me; policy matters to me; results matter to me; beyond that, the well-being of people and animals matters to me.

This year, Germany also plans to train 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers.“
What incredible impudence! The German Government is going to gift the Kiev regime 80 more tanks, and 450 other armoured vehicles. This is almost direct involvement in the war.

Russia has not, as yet, deployed more than a small fraction of its mighty military-destructive power. The West must back-pedal on the present headlong rush to regional and even world war.

The inhabitants of Gaza are now worse off than were the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto in the early 1940s. History can certainly take some surprising turns.

One of the most interesting pieces of news I have read recently is that 14% of Israelis with dual nationality have fled the country in the past 3 months. Israel is doomed.

What we, those of us interested in the future of the European peoples, must do is to prepare as best we can for what might well be the situation after the next great war. Preservation of a core of European humanity, and the foundation of a society to provide a basis for a superculture, indeed for successive supercultures of the far future. We shall be there too, via reincarnation.
