Something such as Exodus is (or was), however, powerful political propaganda showing only one, and a very partial, side of a multi-sided struggle.

I happened to see a blog post from nearly two years ago. I think that the facts displayed should be far better known than they are.

They still think that thick-as-two-short-planks Nelson Mandela was both saintly and incredibly intelligent (in fact, he was a would-be terrorist leader who turned to African revolution at the age of 42, and after having failed his law degree several times, and the only reason he was not an active terrorist leader is because he was so inept at conspiracy, and was arrested before he could start a race war against South African whites).

I have to say that, were I the ruler of Dubai, I should have created a far better city-state than that ugly pastiche of Miami Beach and Monaco. The same goes for the other UAE emirates, and Qatar.

The weird thing, of course, about Muslim statelets such as the UAE and Qatar is that, on the one hand, they have the very latest technology, the latest and most expensive cars etc, but at the same time an underlying way of life which is feudal, mediaeval and, indeed, almost in the dark ages: Islam, and legal systems based on Islam.

The other odd thing about those Gulf statelets is that 90% of the population of most if not all of them is foreign, all of which foreigners are there short-term, in a few cases medium-term, trying to make and save money before they head home (as they have to do— they have no right to remain…).

Mini-states that take themselves too seriously are always open to ridicule, of course. I have never been to Monaco, but recall seeing a two or three-part series about the Principality, which has 510 acres, about the size (somewhat smaller) than Hyde Park (350 acres) and Kensington Gardens (265 acres) combined, and much smaller than New York’s Central Park (843 acres). The excessive respect (servility, indeed) shown by everyone there to its ruling prince, Albert, was very funny.

Not that there seemed to be anything terrible about this American-sounding fellow (the son, of course, of the American film actress, Grace Kelly), but it just is rather funny to see quite a bit of pomp and circumstance going on in this tiny semi-enclave not much bigger than Hyde Park; a Ruritanian feeling.

Pretty amazing, if anywhere near accurate. About 422 Reform MPs, 51 Greens, 49 LibDems, 44 SNP, 34 Lab, 14 Cons [etc].

That would be a stunning result, giving Reform a huge Commons majority of nearly a hundred MPs.

If that came to pass, you could pretty much knock out the Conservative Party completely. It would never recover. Labour probably much the same, though less clearly so, because the Conservative bases have been eroding for a long time despite, maybe even because of, the 14 years of (incompetent) Con Party government. Labour is still well-embedded in the trade unions, public services, and the ethnic minority “communities”.

Looks as though many of the actual “socialists” or play-socialists, have abandoned Labour for the Greens, just as a certain number of former Con voters have abandoned the Cons for the LibDems, and others for Reform UK.

Incidentally, if my present feeling is right about the Con vote declining to as low as 10% by 2028/2029 (partly because many of the very old people who are the Con mainstay will not be living by then, and partly because many will go either Reform or LibDem), then the Conservative Party might be left with only 1 MP, Labour about 30, the SNP, Greens, and LibDems 30-40 each, and Reform as many as 459 MPs out of 650.

As usual, I was well ahead of the curve, and have been referring to “Andrew Windsor” for some time…

I have been interested to see that, during the last few days, the number of individual visitors has increased very markedly. Several hundred each day, from about 20 countries, but with the majority of both visitors and hits (some people look at more than one blog post) coming from the USA and, after the USA, the UK.

There have been a few times in the past when high hundreds, even over a thousand, visitors visited in a single day, but not very many, if truth be known. I’m easy (“one human soul is a big audience“).

Our present civilization cannot continue to exist, still less evolve to a higher level, without a firm ethno-cultural foundation. In practice, that means a very significant proportion of white Northern European people in the world, and the world largely under the control of such people.

He then turned up to a Labour fundraiser in January 2024, and stood up, clutching pictures of his dead mother, talking about his murdered family, asking for Angela’s support for a ceasefire. She knew exactly who this man was. He was then thrown out of the meeting and on to the street by security like he was trash. She did nothing, and simply said “Thank you, you’ve made your point.”

Just take a moment to absorb what was happening here. A Palestinian man she was friendly with, whose family had been slaughtered by a British-facilitated Israeli onslaught, whose pleas to evacuate his wife and daughter had been ignored by her, stood up holding photos of his murdered mother, pleading for her to take a stand against the violence slaughtering her family.

It gets worse. A few days later she was interviewed about the incident by Sky News’ @BethRigby, who framed it as an example of the sort of threats that politicians have to face.

Here is one utterly repulsive example of the dehumanisation of Palestinians. Imagine this was a Israeli man whose family had been killed on 7th October. If the same thing had happened, it would have caused a national scandal and ruined Angela Rayner’s career long before any stamp duty row.

Since this hideous episode, so many of Dalloul’s loved ones have been murdered by the Israeli government that their names fill three pages. Angela served as deputy prime minister in a government which continued to arm and facilitate this genocide.

I used to have huge respect for Angela Rayner. But she’s someone whose pursuit of power led her to make an accommodation with the worst people in the history of the Labour Party. The great moral test of our time was Israel’s genocide, and a belief that Palestinians are human beings of equal worth. Angela failed that test. Her political demise should be mourned by no one.“]

I was reminded of the old joke about a Napoleonic-era battle. The battle is raging back and forth. On a nearby hill, non-combatants are watching, including a group of Jews. Look at the Jew-Zionist pro-Israel march in London last weekend. The organizers invited Reform UK’s Tice to attend. He accepted that invitation, and was there helping to carry the main banner, along with the “CAA” liar and perjurer Gideon Falter, the fat woman who is the current Israeli Ambassador in London, and the Chief Rabbi of the UK.

In short, the fix is in. They know that Reform is quite likely to form the next government. That being so, Reform’s leaders are being cultivated.

I still hope that Reform will destroy the existing System parties. Once Reform has done that, and once Reform fails to deal with the major problems of society, especially the migration invasion and resultant multikulti society, a real social-national upsurge can manifest.

The vast majority of immigrants coming to this country are, at best, parasites. Quite a few are engaged in various levels of criminal activity. A relatively small number are active terrorists or are terrorist support agents.

Treatment of animals in Egypt is often very bad, and most of the people there are cowardly wastes of space.

It is interesting to note that not only do Europeans run all or almost all of the animal welfare hospitals etc in Egypt, but also most of the efforts devoted to helping the Egyptian children etc born with various handicaps. The locals (I was told when I was there for a few months in the 1990s) regard such accidents or incidents of birth as a curse from God, and so need not be addressed at all. Backward Islamic or quasi-Islamic beliefs.

In Alexandria, that time is known as the International Period. Far more civilized than Alexandria as it now is.

The Egyptian in that Daily Mail report is typical. Willing to hurt a defenceless donkey, but running away when a European woman confronted him. Pity he was not himself whipped.

I could tell of a number of instances when I saw that Egyptian coward/bully mentality. There are exceptions, and some of the Egyptians are better than that, but I think a small minority.

Look at the pathetic Egyptian Army. As the old joke has it, the only time (in the past few thousand years) when the Egyptians won a military victory was in the second act of Aida.

Really, it has to be admitted that Africa generally, and including North Africa , should be under civilized European rule.

Reform UK, Labour, and the Runcorn and Helsby by-election

The most recent opinion poll about nationwide political sympathies:

Well, that poll (with notional LibDem vote around 12%, and Greens on 10%) would result in a Commons with 198 Lab MPs, 187 Reform, and 156 Con (51 Libdems, 27 SNP, 4 Greens). The only possible government on those numbers would be a Reform/Con arrangement of some sort, having a majority of 17, and a working majority slightly bigger. https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/userpoll.html.

The polls are variable at present, but all tell the same story— Reform UK either the most popular party or a close second. Bearing in mind that Reform voters are said to be more motivated to actually vote than Lab or Con voters (and that fewer Lab voters vote by post, Con and Reform voters tending —so far— to be older and, by reason of that, less healthy), the real picture could well be even better for Reform.

I see the reality as being that at least a plurality of voters are absolutely sick of what Britain is becoming, and are therefore clutching at the Reform straw even though, in many cases, underwhelmed by both Reform and Farage. The voters who support Reform want to hit out at, and perhaps bury, both Lab and Con.

This should make the Runcorn and Helsby by-election even more interesting. The betting market (which I have found an unreliable guide to by-election results) has Reform as strongly odds-on favourite to win (about 1/3, with Labour around 5/2, and Conservatives around 8/1; there are 15 candidates in all). https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/politics/market/1.241434500.

I think and have blogged that Reform will smash it, but I concede that there are a number of factors in play. The constituency has Runcorn town as main voter pool, but even that is over 90% white, so the George Galloway vehicle, Workers’ Party, will probably come in 4th or 5th.

Turnout may or may not be low; if it is, Reform will benefit, probably. I wonder how many former Labour voters will turn out to vote for a nominally “Labour” government that has cheated pensioners, is intent on cheating and bullying the sick, disabled and unemployed, and which is at the same time throwing money at “Ukraine” (the brutal Zionist dictatorship in Kiev) and foreign aid recipients. All that, and while also presiding over ever-worse migration invasion, and the consequent street crime now seen everywhere.

The “experts” are still saying that the by-election will be close between Reform and Labour, but Labour seems less credible with every passing day. No less than 700 migrant-invaders landed on the beaches of England yesterday alone!

The Conservative Party under the Nigerian woman is a busted flush. In any case, in 2024 the Cons only scored 16% in the Runcorn and Helsby constituency.

Any 2024 Conservative Party voters who want to stick it to Labour have no choice but to vote Reform, tactically.

This by-election will be a pure test of the popularity of both Starmer-stein’s fake “Labour” government and of Reform UK. Its importance is huge.

People usually want things to be black-and-white, simple. Not everything is black-and-white. Look at modern history. There were people, some people, in the SS and even, rather later, in the KGB and GRU, who meant well, were relatively honourable, and who might be described in the superficial sense as “good” people, and there were those in the USA and UK, and also in the internal opposition(s) to both National Socialist and Soviet socialist rule, who were rather “bad” people.

If life is a chess game, it is often “three-dimensional chess”.

It seems to me —as far as I have read etc— that Israel is now quite centralized on Tel Aviv and its region, though the Jerusalem area has as many or more inhabitants. The economy is centred on that region. The Israeli state can absorb a certain amount of conflict in border areas (Gaza, the Golan Heights and Northern Israel, even the West Bank), so long as the central belt around Tel Aviv is still functioning.

The increasing capabilities of Hezbollah, especially what seems to be their fast-upgraded missile programme, threaten Tel Aviv and the surrounding region. The Israeli ruling circles are therefore probably contemplating a massive attack on southern Lebanon to destroy the Hezbollah infrastructure before missiles of real power rain down on Tel Aviv.

The Israelis are willing to take a hit in terms of international perception of Israel, a public relations hit, and also an economic hit, so long as that Hezbollah infrastructure can be at least badly damaged.

Were Hezbollah or other powers able to heavily damage Tel Aviv itself, the Israeli economy would tank, and the exodus (?) of dual-passport Jews from Israel —30,000+ since October 2023— would become a flood.

What the Israeli Jews are doing in Gaza is not, under any reasonable or fair assessment, or view, “self-defence”. The killing of tens of thousands, almost all civilians, half of them under 18, a quarter (approximately) under 12 years of age. The wounding of several times that number.

I do not mean that they have “too much money” relative to me (that is very easy!) or even in relation to most people, or most wealthy people (“wealthy” in a more ordinary sense); no, what I mean is that people on the Musk, Bezos, Gates level of wealth literally have too much money.

The ultra-wealthy have so much money that they do not know what to do with it, except get a team of people working on how to further increase the hoard of wealth that the ultra-wealthy have already.

In the end, all it becomes is a kind of Masque of the Red Death game or competition; whoever has the most beans, the highest figures on a computer screen, is the winner. A winner, someone who has won something and nothing. Ask Steve Jobs. Oh…you can’t…

Some of the ultra-wealthy are themselves casting around, trying to find something worthy to do with at least some of their vast wealth. Merely being rich is not enough, not when you are that rich. Several of such people (eg Musk) are in control of assets worth around USD $220 BILLION, i.e. two hundred and twenty thousand million! When you consider that a massive mega-yacht might cost USD $500 million or, at most (?), USD $1 billion (thus costing the buyer maybe less than half of one percent of his asset-value), you see both the problem and the consequent frustration.

As for smaller toys (houses, estates, cars etc) they are as nothing in comparison to the wealth some hold. Even hugely “overpriced” artworks the same.

Look at the competition among a handful of the ultra-wealthy to build their own rockets. An exercise in showing off toys, really, the aim being what? To send groups of tourists into orbit? How pointless.

To have “too much” wealth (without putting any particular figure on it) is like eating 100 pizzas a day, drinking 10 bottles of Chateau Margaux each day, or even drinking 10 gallons of water, and is dangerous for a person’s health; in the case of wealth, also dangerous for society.

“Tinker” types. Reading all those reports, it seems that most of the incarceration imposed was for offences other than the animal cruelty crimes.

Sentences for cruelty to animals are still ludicrously light in this country.

A sentence of 5 years or so really means release in about 2-3 years. Another defendant in the above case even got off with only a light “community penalty” despite having, inter alia, rammed a police car (read the reports, though not all of the reports agree exactly on the facts).

Pathetic, nicht wahr? Lammy poses as a legal expert because (and how many similar examples have I seen in or from the “black community”?) he took his degree in the UK and then took a “Master’s degree” (a one-year course that hardly anyone fails) at Harvard (after having become a barrister in England). I see that the philosopher Roger Scruton has died.

I never met him, and rather disapproved of some —by no means all— of his views (as seen in the newspapers, mainly) and activities (e.g. foxhunting), but he was an important figure in his own field and in terms of socio-political life.

He was, arguably, better known in Central Europe than in the UK. I recall seeing a whole window full of his works, in Czech translation, in a Prague bookshop. That was in 1999, 11 years after I first saw the city (in 1988 it was still under socialist rule).

Scruton was at one time friendly with a couple of people I knew in South London. That would have been in the 1970s. He would visit on his bicycle (an Oxbridge affectation which must have been hazardous in South London even then); he was at that time sometimes at Goldsmiths’ College in New Cross and may have taught there on occasion, though his main base was Birkbeck College (University of London) in Bloomsbury.

Scruton apparently enjoyed talking philosophy with the people I knew, but he ditched them and cut off contact after one of them was reported upon by the trash press as being “far right”. He was afraid that the connection might damage his career, which was just starting to take off at the time.

Curious to read that, in 1974-76, when he was 30-32, Scruton read for the Bar, at the Inns of Court School of Law (which I myself attended in 1987-88). He was Called in 1978, at age 34, though he never practised. I wonder why he bothered to become a barrister; because the Bar was a —small-c— “conservative” profession? Maybe because being even nominally a barrister was putting two-fingers up to his modest origins in High Wycombe, and to the father who stopped speaking to him after he won a place at Cambridge? Was that also one reason why he took up foxhunting?

Scruton was certainly interested in money, setting up private companies etc. Again, perhaps a result of financial insecurity in his earlier life.

A mixed picture. Not unflawed, but a substantial figure.

The country that hates trees

Sometimes it seems to me that English people hate trees. In fact, most do not, but every now and then you see newspaper reports of disputes about them, such as one seen a couple of years ago, where most of the people living in a street of surpassing ugliness somewhere in the North East wanted the only tree in the street chopped down. It was not even very tall or wild. Similarly, the neighbour-disputes about trees. In most cases, the trees are not in any way “dangerous” (an idee fixe in England— in, say, Germany, trees often grow close to houses, as indeed is the case in, say, Russia).

I attribute part of the blame to the “Thatcher’s children” types, the kind of pleb-Cons who, especially in certain kinds of neighbourhood, spend much time on “Do It Yourself” repairs and “improvements”, when not washing and valeting their prized cars. God forbid that their little gardens (probably tarmacked or gravelled in front and laid to lawn in back, with statutory tiny and pointless “water feature” as recommended by some TV “landscape” guru) should have hedges or trees that might even, at times, look slightly “untidy”.

Times such as this week, when high winds are expected, tend to bring out the anti-tree idiots, afraid that trees that have stood for decades or even centuries will be uprooted.

I think that it was Chekhov who wrote that “for some people, a tree is sacred”. Amen.

Cruelty to animals

I saw this: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/cruel-brothers-starved-horses-death-21268360 and it reminded me that the law is far too lenient in dealing with cruelty to animals.

The defendants in this case are “travellers” of some sort. I have little time for Priti Patel, but if she can screw down on such horrible riff-raff I shall applaud her.

So Clive Lewis is out of the race before it even started. I cannot think why…(well, maybe I can…). Various factors.

I see that the Hotel Rivoli, decent but very basic, is only £95 equivalent per night even now, despite its good and central location (our room had a balcony and overlooked the Rue de Rivoli; it was one of the corner rooms shown in the photo below). I think that they charged £18 or so in the money of 30 years ago.

Opinion poll

An opinion poll released this evening shows that Labour’s likely share of the popular vote has declined 4 points even since the General Election. Not exactly a shock.

Labour should have stood up to the Jewish/Zionists (the “Israel lobby”) and hit back hard on issues such as the way British people are tricked, bamboozled and exploited. Never give the lobby an inch. Oh, and stop shedding fake tears over the hugely overblown “holocaust” farrago. Apart from anything else, the Second World War (in which about 80 million died, about a tenth of whom were German) ended 75 years ago!

The opinion poll indicates that 16% of voters do not favour any System party.
