The escalating drone attacks on Russian civilians by the forces of the Kiev regime are a plain campaign of provocation, the aim being to provoke Russia into responding with an overwhelming rocket attack on Kiev or elsewhere, thus (Zelensky hopes) dragging NATO into the war as a direct combatant-power, which might result in all Europe going up in flames.

After four hours of waiting, she’s seen by a doctor — who tells her to make her own way to another hospital to wait in the Accident & Emergency department to get tested there instead.

Comes home and calls the hospital, who transfers her to a maternity service, also staffed by an African woman with an indecipherable accent, totally indifferent to the urgency of the situation. Tells her to come into the hospital and wait.

We went to this same hospital months ago, when we thought she had miscarried. Took seven hours to see us, and after telling us twice we had probably lost the baby, they did an ultrasound which showed she was fine. Somehow, they managed to miss A SECOND BABY with the ultrasound, though.

So now she’s in A&E for another few hours, either for a life-threatening condition that’s getting worse while she waits, or for something a quick scan and an Aspirin prescription will fix in moments.

No wonder maternal mortality has increased.

The incompetence, inefficiency, waste, and negligence in NHS maternity services is astounding. It’s not just strain on the system from demand: it’s that frontline staff are not compassionate or qualified.

Nobody seems willing to criticise this because it’s mean, but so many people who interact with NHS services have a bad story.

It doesn’t have to be like this. I don’t care what needs to change to make it work. Just make it fit for purpose.“]

Were the UK to leave NATO, and cultivate better relations with Russia, we should be able to get gas and probably oil at cost.

A remarkably stupid “analysis” from that self-styled “journalist”. Hardly any UK governments over the past half century or more have enjoyed popular-vote majorities, and most MPs likewise are elected on less than 50% of the vote (often below 40%, and occasionally below 30%).

It may be true that, in most if not all constituencies, Reform UK could be beaten were all non-Reform voters to vote tactically for the most likely non-Reform candidate, but only those who prioritize beating Reform above all other issues and motivations would do that.

Indeed, the rise of the NSDAP in Germany was not swift and overwhelming. It took 14 years for the NSDAP to become the unchallenged government (in 1933), and 13 years for it to enter government at all (in 1932). In 1928, the NSDAP had a popular vote of only 2.6% nationwide, but by 1932 that vote had increased to about 33%, and in 1933 reached 44%.

That tweeted report says that, out of 19,000 council seats in England, Reform hold fewer than 2,500. True, but the “reporter” failed to add the fact that only 4,850 of those 19,000 council seats were actually up for election on 7 May 2026, by reason of our antiquated and stupid local electoral system.

Reform gained nearly 1,500 seats on 7 May, about a third of the seats actually up for election.

Were all 19,000 council seats to have been contested last week, it is highly likely that Reform would have done as well across the board, and now have over 6,000 councillors, quite likely many more.

Incidentally, the fake “journalist” there, Jack Dart, was a LibDem councillor at Torbay during 2019-2023, but was found guilty of malpractice. He has never been any sort of recognized journalist, even in local press or online outlets.

Jack Dart dropped out of a law degree course in 2018, and in the second year. He has never had a job except for some online campaigning against Brexit and for such bodies as the pro-migration “charity”, “Care4Calais” (best known for the egregious sexual and fraudulent activities of its founder, Clare Moseley).

Jack Dart also runs, or ran, a pro-Starmer website and online campaign called Hold the Line. That went well…

Some partisan voices are yet worth listening to, at least at times. Not that one.

Almost certainly correct but, as previously blogged, when some political favoured niece or nephew takes over as Prime Minister by default, and prefers not to get politically validated by the electorate via a fairly swift general election, chances are that he or she, and also the political party (in this case, Labour), are toast; lame duck government followed by crushing electoral meltdown in the end.

I wonder who the surviving 5 Labour MPs would be.

What that says to me is that the Iranian leadership have recognized (how could they not?) the air and sea superiority, indeed supremacy, of the US and its “tail wags dog” “ally”, Israel. The Iranian leadership may therefore be resigned to losing much, perhaps all, of their own oil production and transit as part of the damage from the war, and so have decided to go all-out to close (now, or soon) the Strait of Hormuz, in order to bring down the international economic order.

Should it so decide, Turkey could cut off almost all of Israel’s oil supply.

Apropos of nothing (?), I have never yet met a Kuwaiti that I could, even marginally, like, trust, or respect. Dishonest, unclean-looking, and unpleasant even by the low standards of the Gulf Arabs generally.

While I imagine it would be possible for American forces to take and make a bridgehead on some shore, or offshore island, and possible even keep that area occupied for a considerable time, the USA has not the strength, or the will, and certainly not the airlift capacity, to invade Iran and occupy it, or a large part of it.

Iran is the 17th-largest country by area in the world (Iraq is the 58th-), has about 93M inhabitants (Iraq has about 46M).

The land area alone is vast: about 7x the size of that of the UK, 3x the size of Ukraine and, while of course smaller than that of the USA (Iran is about a 6th of the size of the whole USA), still about the size of Alaska or, to put it another way, 4x the size of California 10x the size of Florida, or 12x the size of the State of New York.

Bottom line— the USA, were it to attempt invasion, would be unable to occupy or hold more than a small part of Iran. Kharg Island, maybe, but only at the cost of constant drone and rocket attack on that island and on all ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranians seem to be repeating their mistake of 2025, attacking all over the place rather than concentrating their resources on a few key targets (which to me would be the ben-Gurion Airport, central Tel Aviv, and the Dimona nuclear area. That would leave many other potential targets unattacked, but not everywhere can be attacked with sufficient force. It was once said that “to govern is to choose“; same applies.

All the same, as far as one can judge, the attacks on Israel, so far, seem to be more like minor nuisances to the population as a whole, rather than the wholesale destruction and carnage the Israeli Jews have visited upon the people of Iran, Lebanon etc. Certainly, had the Iranian missiles and drones hit any schools or hospitals, and killed any children and/or patients, you can be sure that UK/US TV and Press would have screamed unceasingly about it.

As always, Trump is like a big child, doing something that has unexpected consequences, then wailing for help from its parents.

I lived for many years, on and off, in London, though not (thankfully) for the past 25 years.

Had I 10,000 men and pleins pouvoirs, I could restore order, permanently, to London within a month.

In the specific situation shown, the first volley would take down 90% of the untermenschen, and the rest would either flee or be detained easily enough, having once seen what happened to their “friends”.

That judge should be put up against a wall. Her judgment on sentence makes no sense at all from the viewpoint of protecting the public in Canada.

In a proper society, the invaders (probably Congolese) would be put up against a wall.

Yes, these events are reported, at least in the UK and mainland Europe, maybe not or not much in the USA, but “somehow” the news is always less intense when it comes to Israeli-perpetrated atrocities like that, whereas when someone tries to shoot a few Jews in the Netherlands, or Michigan, that is reported upon far more heavily than families wiped out in Lebanon, or schools bombed or rocketed in Iran, with hundreds of children killed and wounded. Most people in the USA, and a great many in the UK, get their news from outlets owned or influenced by Jews.
