Saw my first two facemask loonies of the season. One old (80+ years) man, buying fish at a stall, with his (unmasked) wife, and then, in the entrance area of a supermarket, an old woman accompanied by a peculiar young (teen) girl, the girl unmasked and eating, as she trailed behind, a gingerbread-man before 0900 in the morning. The old woman was so concerned about her own health that she bought two packs of cigarettes…

“Proportionate“? Hamas operatives supposedly killed somewhere between 500 and 1,300 Jews and others about 2 years ago. Quite many of those were in fact killed by the usual triggerhappy Israeli Jew soldiers, operating a kind of scorched earth protocol.

The “soldiers” of the Kiev regime are brave enough when fighting an unarmed Ukrainian civilian, and in a proportion of about 15 to 1, but on the battlefield they are not so successful, and are being pushed back daily by Russian forces (the Kiev regime is losing up to 2,000 men every day, not including a huge number of desertions).

Naturally, no-one wants to serve in the Kiev-regime army; the front-lines are a death sentence. That is why the corrupt and brutal dictatorship has to beat up and kidnap citizens on the streets.

Take the case of someone who builds his own house on land his family have occupied for generations. An American tweet. I do not have to hand the exact statistics of the UK in relation to this, except that the Jewish population in the UK is closer to 0.5%, but the overall situation is similar, mutatis mutandis.

That opinion poll is even more stunning than many other recent polls. Translates to a House of Commons with about 441 Reform UK MPs (a huge overall majority), 53 Greens (making the Greens the official Opposition, albeit a very weak one), 42 SNP, 40 LibDems, 21 Cons, 18 Lab [etc].

You can see why the Greens, despite their pathetic bad-joke policies, are overtaking Labour in some polls, such as this one. Labour is empty of not only helpful policy offerings, but empty of decent sentiment, and also devoid of people who are both competent and incorrupt.

Those who want something at least semi-socialist (if naively so) are going Green. Also, to punish the fakery of Starmer-stein “Labour”.

Reform, too, is being supported not for its policies —or personalities— as such, but because it at least promises to cut some of the immigration and migration invasion, and bring back some law and order. People are supporting it for that, and because each vote for Reform means one more knife stuck into both Lab and Con, as in Murder on the Orient Express. People are getting seriously angry at both Lab and Con, as I have blogged for some time. Reform UK and Farage are the main beneficiaries of that.

That is why all the recent petty (and contrived) scandal and scuttlebutt about Farage and his people is not cutting through. People know Farage and Reform are flawed but will vote for them anyway, to get at Con and Lab, to stamp on them.

For me, Reform is a good way to being down the fake “two main parties” (and dustbin alternative LibDem) System. If/when Reform fails to rule the UK properly, real social nationalism can arise. “At the end stands Victory!“…

I would love to see all those Lab and Con careerists lose their seats, as well as incomes, perks, side-hustles etc. Upset and tears, no doubt, but “Moscow does not believe in tears“, in the old saying.

That was tweeted by a Jew in Australia, but you see the same sort of sentiment on Twitter/X etc in the UK.

Look at the Gaza slaughter. Nearly 100,000 Arab Palestinians killed by Jews over the past two years or so, as against maybe 500 Jews killed two years ago by Hamas operatives in southern Israel/Palestine. A ratio of 200:1.

“Targeting civilians?” What has the Jewish state of Israel been doing for many decades, and particularly in the past couple of years? Gaza alone: 200,000 dead and injured, the vast majority civilians, the majority women and children.

“They” really cannot see themselves. Group-delusion.

Jews around the world are and have been, many of them, applauding the Gaza slaughter; few have openly opposed it.

Indeed, according to Jew-Zionist organizations such as the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, perhaps 96% of UK Jews support Israel, which at least implies that they, or most of them, support what Israel has been doing in Gaza for over two years.

Goodwin means manslaughter, not murder; otherwise correct.

The usual pro-“ethnic minority” (who will soon be, collectively, the majority…) tweeters are all attacking Goodwin, saying “it was just a slap” etc… Bottom line, a n** killed a white man who was trying to ask for decent behaviour, and now the untermensch will be out in about 3 years. Fact.

In what way can this pose as “democracy”?

The only good thing is that a real and angry head of steam is building up in this country. If it blows, Starmer-stein, Angela Rayner, Yvette Cooper, Rachel Reeves, Lammy etc will be blown off their perches forever.

For once, I wholeheartedly agree with Shelagh Fogarty. We Europeans do not have to respect the backward “customs” and habits of non-Europeans. We can ban both male and female genital mutilation (eg Jewish and Muslim circumcision), we can ban halal meat slaughter, we can ban kosher meat slaughter. (etc). We are Europeans, in Europe, and therefore hold society to European standards.

It would help, though, if British and other European-origin women actually learned to behave properly. Many do, some do not.

“A friend of mine was very high-ranking in the British Army during the Iraq war and knew Tony Blair personally. When I asked what he was like he told me that Blair is ‘demon-possessed’. He was quite serious and meant this literally. This surprised me as he is a mild-mannered, diplomatic man and not given to overstatement.”

I have no idea of the provenance and authenticity of that statement, but it rings true.

Fraudulent perjurer and one-time Con politician (“con” in both senses), Jeffrey Archer, says that he has been surprised by how many people he has “met in the street” who say they are going to vote for Farage and Reform UK. I expect that it would surprise a dishonest chancer of the Archer type. He fails to see (or prefers not to see) that voters are turning to Reform not because Farage is (as Archer puts it) “the best mob orator since Michael Foot or Tony Benn” (the now-deceased fake “socialist” traitors and poseurs) but because the old System parties, Con, Lab, and LibDem, have run the UK into the ground, particularly over the last 35 years, arguably for far longer. The voters are intending to vote Reform not because of Farage, or indeed Reform itself, but because Reform is the only (quasi-) credible game in town that is not Lib, Lab, or Con.

It must be easier for Archer to “meet people in the street” now. The only time I myself ever saw him in the street was in the 1980s (I forget when exactly, probably circa 1985), somewhere in the Westminster area. As he exited one of several cars, his retinue of bodyguards and/or other idiots got in my way as I walked along the pavement. I actually had to walk onto the roadway to get past as that silly little man, about 5 feet tall, marched self-importantly inside a building, surrounded by his entourage of besuited nobodies. F*** him…

The devil is in the detail. Government, both central and local, needs revenue from various taxes, but what matters is not only how much is raised but also how and where it is spent. Much of the tax burden accomplishes little because the monies raised are mis-spent.

In fact, if that poll is realized in a general election, the fake Conservative Party will have only 3 MPs more (11) than the fairly pathetic Green Party (8).

The fact is, that “digital ID” would do nothing to stop or “control” illegal migration-invasion (which is, in any case, only 5% or so of all migration into the UK).

Academic argument anyway. The Starmer-stein government of utter clowns may be able to get the proposed new law (and this would require new law) through the Commons, thanks to his GE 2024 majority of young, know-nothing, fake-Labour MPs, but to get the new law through the Lords may be a great deal more difficult.

Many older people do not even have a “smartphone”. I had a mobile telephone before most people; from 1992, I think, certainly in 1993, but now that I do not have to have one (as I did when a practising barrister), I choose not to have one, for several reasons.

Will older people (65+) not in possession of a smartphone be forced to buy one? Will they be exempted? We do not know.

Such telephones cost hundreds of pounds, too.

I can see this being yet another Starmer disaster for Labour. Good in that respect, then.

I disagree that 16-y-o people should vote. I should prefer a voting age of 28.

As to Starmer-stein’s desperate ploy to increase the Labour vote in 2028 or 2029, I doubt that it will have the huge effect for which he and his cronies may be hoping. The 16-17 year-olds may, most of them, prefer Labour to other parties (at present), but most will not vote, and many may not vote for Labour, especially after the spending cuts etc.

I noted years ago on the blog that Starmer-stein seemed to be politically clueless.

The “Ukrainian Army” is a collection of sacrificial cannon-fodder, commanded (ineptly) by a bunch of thugs posing as military officers, right up to the rank of general. It is losing (by death, serious injury, and capture) about 1,000 a day, which is probably 2,000 a day if you take into account desertions. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that there are no volunteers any more, and that the regime has to use press-gangs to kidnap people off the street.

This could end with the USA on one side, and virtually every other country in the world on the other side.

The 20th Century was “the American Century” but we are now in a successor-situation.

If Moscow or Petersburg are hit by serious missile attacks, Kiev might find itself flattened by nuclear attack, and if the Germans continue to assist the Kiev regime to that extent, Germany makes itself a target.

Has that ship not already sailed? Interesting, though. Were Turkey to use its massive army against Israel, that might be the end of Israel, notwithstanding Israel’s nuclear weapons.

It is only just over a century since Ottoman Turkey ruled what are now called Lebanon, Israel, Syria, and many more current regional states beside.

One thing is for sure: the American bombing of the nuclear bases or laboratories makes no immediate difference to the current Iran-Israel war, which is being fought at long-range using conventional weapons— missiles with high-explosive warheads, drones and, on the Israeli side, bombers and fighter-bombers. In the short-term, therefore, the matter will be decided by the side that can keep on delivering warheads onto significant targets.

There must be some way for Russia to eliminate that troublesome Khazar.

Whatever the facts re. damage to those bases may be in reality, the overriding fact is that the actual war Iran-Israel will continue regardless.

The Israeli Jews (?) are out of control. Gaza is the obvious, but not the only, example.

If Iranian missile launches continue, will the Israelis, perhaps starting to run out of ground-to-air missiles, then prioritize the defence of Tel Aviv etc, moving missiles to those areas from perceivedly less important places? Hard to say at present.

As said, that may or may not be true, but in any event will not change the basic dynamics of the Iran-Israel war that Israel, after all, started recently. All that matters is how many missiles each side has.

If Netanyahu was, for once, telling the truth when saying a day or two ago that Iran still has 27,000 missiles (some sources give figures as low as 2,000), many too advanced to be easily intercepted, and if it is also true (as many claim) that Israel is running out of anti-missile missiles, then those claimed 27,000 Iranian weapons will be able to reduce Tel Aviv and other urban areas in Israel/Occupied Palestine to rubble, akin to the devastation which the Israelis have wrought in Gaza.

Ah. Another “volunteer” is escorted to his transport, waiting to take him to the frontline killing fields. The Jewish-Zionist plot to bring down Corbyn

The website Declassified UK has published a review of a book on the anti-Corbyn campaign, headlined “Morgan McSweeney’s ‘plot without precedent in Labour history’— A new book chronicles how Labour strategist Morgan McSweeney used ‘any means necessary’ to destroy Corbyn as leader and install Starmer.”

As one would expect, the book and the review both term the anti-Corbyn plotters “the Right“, rather than “Jews” or “Jew-Zionists”; and they use the now so-outdated “Right/Left” descriptors.

In fact, the plot to topple Corbyn was plainly one planned and funded by pro-Israeli, and probably actual Israeli, sources at root, though carried out by Zionists or pro-Zionists not all of which were Jews (though many were).

I followed Corbyn’s progress on the blog almost from when the blog started in late 2016; certainly from 2017. It was clear to me that there was a basically Jewish —and almost certainly also Israeli— conspiracy to topple him.

Not that I much favoured Corbyn, a relatively uneducated man with simplistic socialist policy viewpoints. Also, while being anti-Israeli, Corbyn always gave lip-service to some of the Zionist propaganda regulars, such as the WW2 “holocaust” narrative. He was not ruthless enough to crush his enemies.

Still, Corbyn was at least a recognizable and relatively decent English type. Starmer (“Starmer-stein”) has no decency and is just a careerist drone, out for what he can get, as witness his grabbing whatever freebies, expenses-paid items, holiday trips etc he and his Jewish wife can grab. Also, of course, his directionless travel on policy.

The fake-Labour “welfare” cuts, the cheating of the pensioners, unemployed, sick, disabled etc. The U-turn on the “trans” nonsense, too. On the one hand on his knees (literally, with Angela Rayner) before the black mobs of “Black Lives Matter”, but then playing the poundshop Stalin when English people got angry at the migration-invasion.

I wonder. I am minded to think that, even if a temporary peace is agreed soon, it will not last. Russia must take and retain all of the territory east of the Dnieper.

Balashikha is, inter alia, a kind of colony for high-ranking Russian military people, situated east of Moscow, and a kind of outer suburb.

The Kiev regime seems to be able to hit individuals in Russia quite efficiently. It is an open question whether the Kiev-regime secret services have, or have had, the help of the CIA and/or MOSSAD to do that. Not the CIA any more, I should have thought.

Of course, such assassinations, while high-profile, do not change the fact that, on the ground in Ukraine, Russian forces continue to advance steadily on all relevant sectors of the front.

As I predicted long ago on the blog. I said that Starmer-stein would try to “solve” the “small boats” migration-invasion by “processing” claims (rubberstamping them) swiftly, possibly overseas, thus magically turning illegal immigrants into legal ones, then emptying the asylum hotels by gifting the invaders council housing or State-paid private rental housing that should be going to British people.

I hope that the voters of Runcorn and Helsby send a firm message —by voting Reform— to Starmer-stein at the by-election next Thursday.

Runcorn and Helsby, this is your chance to make history.

On those figures, Reform would have well over 250 MPs, Labour fewer than 190, and the Cons only 75. The Cons might then be the third-largest party in the Commons, but possibly only the fourth-largest. Terminal.

That evil spirit, Ursula von der Leyen, talks about peace, while supplying the brutal and corrupt Kiev regime dictatorship with huge amounts of arms, ammunition, and EU taxpayers’ money.

The fact is that, proportionate to the population(s), non-whites commit far more crimes than white English/British people.

In fact, even publishing the formal national origins of persons convicted does not and will not tell the whole story, because many of the non-whites committing crimes hold “British” nationality; indeed, many were born here. In quite many cases, those non-whites committing crimes have parents and indeed even grandparents born here, by reason of the mass immigration that has hit Britain in the past 80 years (mostly the past 60 years, indeed the past 30).

I recall how amazed I was, as a belated Bar pupil (trainee barrister) and then junior barrister (early 1990s) to see how high was the proportion of non-whites on trial in the criminal courts of London. That was 33-34 years ago. Imagine now!

If you were to take out the figures relating to “travellers” (Irish tinkers) etc, the proportion of actual English/British defendants would be even smaller, very considerably so,

Time flies to such an extent that, when I read that book, 14-15 years ago, around 2010 or 2011, I got halfway through before I realized that I had known the author’s mother (though only slightly) in the early 1980s, when I was taking a part-time Russian language course at a language institute near Euston Square in Central London. The language school was part of what is now the University of Westminster. Ludmilla Matthews was one of about 5 teachers I had. I think that her subject was Russian Conversation.

Ludmilla Matthews had something not quite right with one of her feet. She was kind enough to say once that my (in fact quite rudimentary) Russian at the time was “stylish“. I remember her mainly for having talked to me about her reluctant acquaintanceship with a (literally) mad Russian or Russian/Polish girl. That was after said girl had almost kidnapped me by guile, having said that I looked like St. Herman of Alaska (I had a beard at the time), and that she had an icon of St. Herman above her bed at her home in Kensington, and would I like to see it? You get the picture.

Once again, therefore, a minority Reform government, 72 short of an absolute Commons majority, and about 62 short of a working majority.

On those figures, the Cons are perilously close to becoming the 4th-largest party in the Commons, and utterly irrelevant.

Late thoughts

This blog punches above its weight. It may only have a relatively small number of regular readers (and far fewer commentators), but it has influenced many many people. It has reached directly about 150 states and territories in the world, and quite possibly all 200 or so indirectly.

I have always taken the view that “one human soul is a big audience“, and that if I can influence one young Alexander, Adolf Hitler, Mahatma Gandhi or, indeed, Moses, then the fact that I do not have a huge audience or a readership of millions becomes irrelevant. As Dietrich Eckart said when nearing the end of his life, “do not mourn me…I shall have influenced history more than any other German“.

I often see used distinctive phrases I myself have used (first) in the past, whether on the blog or from tweets when I still had a Twitter account (a pack of Jews had me expelled from Twitter in 2018, following a concerted campaign or conspiracy which lasted several years, and which continues).

For example, I think I was the first to use the terms “migration invasion” and “migrant invaders”, since echoed by many politicians and others, including even some Prominente from System parties.

If you put a drop of intense ultramarine dye into a pool, pond or lake, after a while, the water goes blue; all the water. My blog has that kind of influence, despite the fact that most of my blog posts have been read by, at most, only a few thousand people (each), even after several years.

It is because my blog has influence far beyond its actual numbers of readers that the Jew-Zionist lobby has made extensive efforts to shut it down over the past 8-9 years since first publication in late 2016.

Well, so far I am still here, and the blog is still being published near-daily, despite malicious complaints by Jews, despite backstairs attempts to procure prosecutions (by Israel puppets such as ex-MP —now “lord”— Ian Austin), despite repeated police interference, despite my having been put on trial in 2023, despite my having been sentenced in 2024, despite everything.

On the macro level, I see things beginning to move my way.

It is the latest in a string of incidents in which police have investigated people for social media posts, including newspaper columnist Allison Pearson, feminist writer Julie Bindel, and former policeman Harry Miller, whose name was added to a database for his ‘non-crime hate incident’. Mr Miller, who founded the Fair Cop campaign group, said of Mrs Jones’s treatment: ‘It flies in the face of our freedoms and it’s wrong. That’s far more akin to a European police force – or even worse a Stasi police force.’

At around 1.30pm last Tuesday, while Mrs Jones was looking after her baby grandson at a nearby house, a detective sergeant and another officer knocked at her door and spoke to her husband Lee, 54, via an intercom.

A shocked Mrs Jones rushed home fearing something tragic had happened to a loved one. At 2.15pm she received a phone call from an officer thought to be the same sergeant who knocked on her door and was told the police had received a complaint about her recent social media posts.

Speaking exclusively to the MoS, she said: ‘[The officer] said, ‘We’ve had a complaint,’ and I immediately asked, ‘From who?’, and he said, ‘Well, I can’t tell you that’.’

She asked if Cllr Sedgwick or his partner had made the complaint. ‘[The officer’s] exact words were ‘Your thought process is correct in that’,’ said Mrs Jones. ‘I asked the police officer, have I committed any sort of crime. Why did you call at my door? They said, ‘Someone has spoken to us about your social media posts.’

‘I then said, ‘If I don’t take your advice and continue doing what I am doing, will I be committing a crime?’ He said no. I then asked. ‘What will you do about it?’ He said, ‘There’s not a lot we can do, we are just giving you advice’.’

Regular readers of the blog will know that I have had similar experiences over the past decade (see below), all instigated by the Jew-Zionist lobby cabals, but you will not see or hear Toby Young, his “Free Speech Union”, the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, or scribbler Allison Pearson mention that, or defend my rights.

Saw a few minutes of Sky News Press Preview. Guest? The Jew (I think the name was Rosenberg) who apparently heads the Board of Deputies of British Jews, i.e. the voice of the Jews, or most of them (?), in the UK. Needless to say, pro-Zelensky etc.

Zelensky’s “offer” to resign if he gets what he has been demanding for several years, i.e. Ukraine’s membership of NATO, is of course just a bad joke, a complete nullity.

The fact is that the balance of power in that war, and in Eastern Europe, perhaps all of Europe, has tipped decisively. Zelensky is an irrelevance now, and his Kiev regime is obviously going to implode; either that, or Russian tanks will be in or around Kiev by 2027 at the latest.

Likewise, Starmer, Macron, and whoever now heads Germany, are sidelined.

This may change everything, even in the UK.

So it’s no shock to read that a recent survey commissioned by Channel 4 found that 52 per cent of Britons aged 13 to 27 have lost faith in democracy and would welcome a dictator – a strong leader ‘who does not have to bother with parliament and elections’. 

A third of my generation believe ‘the UK would be a better place if the Army was in charge’. 

Other polls have found that many of us are likely to back the death penalty, while a Mail on Sunday survey this week found that two-thirds of us favour castrating sex offenders.

These reports have caused much alarm among liberal commentators – for whom democracy and the social contract are sacrosanct. 

They don’t want to face the brutal truth that the social contract has been ripped up by a political class that has long refused to put the interests of ordinary British people first, or to deliver on our repeatedly expressed wishes at the ballot box – on immigration, crime, tax and much else.

Drug use, shoplifting and defrauding the state go unpunished. Millions of economically burdensome migrants from places and cultures vastly different from our own are invited in, housed and fed at our expense – and we are attacked and slurred as bigots if we complain.

As for democracy, it’s obvious from the visible decline in our country – which worsened after the 2008 financial crash and which has accelerated under Keir Starmer – that it isn’t delivering the right results.

Our supposed parliamentary rule is either an illusion, an anachronism or, if it does exist, clearly not fit for purpose.

After Labour’s landslide win last summer, it rapidly dawned on many of us who had voted for the first time that we were essentially politically impotent.

Britain is crying out for leadership that can steer the country to safety.

Gen Z’s demands are not unreasonable: fairer taxes, affordable homes, cheaper energy and an end to unlimited immigration. 

We ask that everyone contributes their fair share and that crime is properly punished.

We want to trust our neighbours, and talk to them in our own language. We want a sense of identity and belonging.

Which is why, I believe, we now need decisive action: a leader who would declare a state of emergency in response to illegal migration.

Without a strong leader who can reverse deindustrialisation, neoliberal economic policy and mass immigration, our country seems condemned to a future of being riddled with crime, political strife and social unrest.

Yet perhaps, out of this ongoing catastrophe, renewal will come. 

History, after all, has a way of throwing up great men or women when the hour calls for them.

Where to start? Firstly, “freedom” and “democracy” are not the same concept or even similar concepts. The linkage, though it exists, is loose.

I examined the idea of democracy some years ago on the blog:

Of course, if people lack shelter, clothing, warmth, food, other needs and/or wants, then “freedom”, let alone the existing form of supposed “democracy”, will not seem of the most pressing importance.

One has to wonder why the Daily Mail is allowing such views, those of this Charlie Downes, to be blasted so explosively on its pages. It seems to me that the main reason is that the Conservative Party is as good as dead among the vast majority of the electorate, and the Labour Party is in a similar condition except that it is still psychologically embedded in the mentality of the voters of much of the North of England and, also, most of the blacks and browns vote Labour en masse, and they are now 20% of the whole electorate, much more in the great cities.

Labour support among white people (the people formerly known as British) is no more than about 10% (at most), in reality. Maybe only 5%.

The Daily Mail’s owners, and others, now look for a party neither socialist nor national socialist/social nationalist but which may capture mass support. Reform UK.

A quasi-dictatorial period may be necessary in the UK, but only if the policies are those I have promulgated on the blog over the past 8 years. Basically social national policies. Anything else is useless and wrongheaded.

Arguably the most interesting aspect of the latest polling is the apparent continuing collapse of the Conservative Party (predicted, of course, on this blog). Not only 4th placed, after the LibDems in 3rd, but with little better than half as many MPs as the LibDems.

I read today that CCHQ may be unable to pay the rent on its office building. I would not be surprised to see quite a few Con Party MPs now jump to Reform in the hope of being accepted as candidates for the seats they currently occupy as “Conservatives”. I wonder how many will be deemed acceptable. If they delay too long crossing the line, they may not be accepted.

Double Twit Time

Saw two silly twits on Sky News earlier, being interviewed separately. The first was someone called General Shirreff (retired) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Shirreff], who thinks that war with Russia is all but inevitable, that the UK should double or triple the amount it spends on armed services in all ways, and that it is essential for the UK to back up “Ukraine” (the Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev).

I find it disturbing that an officer previously at such a high rank and with such heavy responsibilities until retirement should actually think that Britain should embroil itself even further in the brutal, shambolic, and corrupt Kiev-regime war, and try to confront Russia in Eastern Europe.

Come to that, the UK should also have steered clear of a number of other late-19thC and early 20thC conflicts: the Balkan war(s) of the 1990s, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Libyan uprising.

President Kennedy said, of General Curtis LeMay [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_LeMay], that, in a war requiring an all-out attack, you would want LeMay commanding the first wave of the bomber force, but that he was the last person who should decide whether there should be a war at all. Having heard General Shirreff’s attempt at geopolitical argument, I rather think that that is also my view of General Shirreff.

Any war with Russia would leave what is left of this country, and worth defending, in ruins. Irradiated ruins, over which those of us who survive will crawl in misery. Nein danke!

The said Chalk, who lost his Commons seat in 2024, was briefly Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice under Sunak. My thoughts about him, having now heard him (I was only peripherally aware of his existence, previously) relate more to his ideas about how to fund the justice system than to his actual decisions when in high office. He wants even more cuts to the “welfare” (social security) budget, and for that money to be directed to the courts, legal professions, prisons etc. A rehash of 2010-2015 “austerity” nonsense, in short, but with money given to the legal and justice system (and defence). He seemed a smug bastard, rather full of himself. Again, nein danke!

There comes a point when many people wonder whether we still have much worth “defending”. In fact, I think that many have already reached such a conclusion, which is why recruitment to the armed forces has become a thorny issue. I saw an ad for the Army today, showing an entirely black platoon in the field. Has the Army given up trying to recruit real British people?

The voters are willing to take any option that seems to have a chance. The System parties have all failed. If only there were a proper social-national party able to take on the challenge. The “Parliamentary road” is not the way forward, as such, but may have a part to play. All roads lead to Rome.

The truth is that, since the 1970s, paid work has become far more stressful in the UK. The “long hours culture”, “present-ism”, no proper lunch hours, the vulgar trend of people eating at their desks, the perceived “need” to be on-call in the evenings or at weekends etc. All for other peoples’ profits and self-aggrandisement.

As Fiona Syms (ex-wife of an ex-MP) knows well enough, Reform UK is not really a “fringe party”. It has only 5 MPs because the electoral system in this country is both grotesquely unfair and grotesquely illogical.

At GE 2024 (and in rough terms), out of every 20 eligible voters, 8 did not vote, 4 voted Labour, 3 voted Conservative, 2 voted Reform UK, 2 voted LibDem, and 1 voted Green.

If Reform UK is “a fringe party“, then so is not only the Green Party, but also the LibDems (who got 500,000 fewer votes than Reform UK), and indeed the Conservatives, who received only slightly more than 1.5x the votes cast for Reform UK. Even Labour only received just over 2.3x the Reform UK vote.

In actual numbers: Labour 9,708,716; Conservatives 6,828,925; Reform UK 4,117,620; LibDems 3,519,143; Green Party 1,841,888.
