Saturday quiz

As I often reiterate (because many people assume, wrongly, that I believe in judicial harshness), I am generally not a “hanger and flogger”, but here we have an example of how things have slid into near-lawlessness.

When I was initially at the English Bar (early 1990s), it was a given that “breach of trust” cases of embezzlement, especially where the sums were substantial, would normally result in incarceration, yet here we have a case involving over half a million pounds, continuing for quite a while (2+ years), and the defrauding of a medical practice but also 8 actual doctors, and the defendant gets a “suspended”…

The only aspect more severe is that that embezzler woman will have to pick up litter or do similar work for a few weeks, whereas I was excused any unpaid slave-labour.

My own sentence in 2024 (for telling the truth) was 15 “rehabilitation” “days” (in fact, each “day” was between 20 and 120 minutes, the average being about 30 minutes or so) with a young lady from the Probation Service, and a financial penalty of over £700 (about a third was crowdfunded).

Quite. Every day, persons of various types are stabbed, often fatally, in the UK (something that was very rare until a few decades ago, i.e. when mass immigration really got going).

Now, because the most recent (and non-fatal) victims are Jews in a heavily-Jewish area, the sky has fallen in. Suddenly, the “British” (Labour Friends of Israel) Government and the fake “Conservative” (Conservative Friends of Israel) “Opposition” are totally hysterical, calling this unpleasant but relatively minor incident in one street of a London suburb a “national security emergency“.

Starmer-stein, Kemi Badenoch etc are the sort of idiots who pose as national politicians —and even try to pose as statesmen (and women)—when a country is sliding fast to utter degradation.

I heard a somewhat similar tale long ago, sometime around 1990, about an event which is said to have happened in the late 1980s.

Apparently, the well-known (and at the time I think estranged rather than divorced from Camilla Parker Bowles) Brigadier Parker Bowles was in command of a TEWT (Tactical Exercise Without Troops), the sort of war game people do at Staff College and similar.

Some Nigerian officers of fairly high rank were on that course. They had to gain a pass for diplomatic or political reasons. They could not be failed.

At one point, they were near a bridge. The scenario described was that uninvolved civilians were fleeing across the bridge from an advancing enemy force which had almost caught up with them and could not be engaged by home forces without immense death and injury to those civilians. The question was posed— what should be done?

The Brigadier expected the Africans to give the obvious and correct answer: civilians to be allowed through the lines and passed back to safe areas in the rear, and only after that would home forces open fire on the enemy forces. However, the senior African officer gave an unexpected reply to that question, namely “Kill dem all“… (both civilians and enemy).

Brigadier Parker Bowles apparently, turned to his British officers, simply said, “Well, gentlemen, there you have it…” and, without a word more, strode off to his waiting car.

The Africans all passed the course despite getting most things wrong.

I was glad when Trump was first elected, and then later re-elected, and for one reason only, i.e. that he would probably not trigger or launch a nuclear war with Russia. To that extent, my “choice” (notional only, because I am not, nor ever have been, a U.S. citizen, though I was once a “resident alien” issued with a Green Card) has been validated by events. However, much of what is happening in the USA now is somewhere between tragedy and farce.

In fact, it is said that that particular video, above, is yet another AI production. Not unlikely, but my point still stands.

On a related topic, how long before a “long-lost piece of AGFA film” is “found”, and will appear to “prove” that German labour prison/labour camps in Poland in the early 1940s “really did” have “gas chambers”?

The old woman was so concerned about her own health that she bought two packs of cigarettes…

“Proportionate“? Hamas operatives supposedly killed somewhere between 500 and 1,300 Jews and others about 2 years ago. Quite many of those were in fact killed by the usual triggerhappy Israeli Jew soldiers, operating a kind of scorched earth protocol.

The “soldiers” of the Kiev regime are brave enough when fighting an unarmed Ukrainian civilian, and in a proportion of about 15 to 1, but on the battlefield they are not so successful, and are being pushed back daily by Russian forces (the Kiev regime is losing up to 2,000 men every day, not including a huge number of desertions).

Naturally, no-one wants to serve in the Kiev-regime army; the front-lines are a death sentence. That is why the corrupt and brutal dictatorship has to beat up and kidnap citizens on the streets.

Take the case of someone who builds his own house on land his family have occupied for generations. In an unguarded moment, he allows someone, perhaps someone rightly or otherwise evicted from other houses, to stay there, and that feral person, when the owner is not paying attention, takes over, makes the true owner live in inferior circumstances nearby, then exhibits all the characteristics of the true owner, despite being just an illegitimate squatter…

An American tweet. I do not have to hand the exact statistics of the UK in relation to this, except that the Jewish population in the UK is closer to 0.5%, but the overall situation is similar, mutatis mutandis.

That opinion poll is even more stunning than many other recent polls. Translates to a House of Commons with about 441 Reform UK MPs (a huge overall majority), 53 Greens (making the Greens the official Opposition, albeit a very weak one), 42 SNP, 40 LibDems, 21 Cons, 18 Lab [etc].

You can see why the Greens, despite their pathetic bad-joke policies, are overtaking Labour in some polls, such as this one. Labour is empty of not only helpful policy offerings, but empty of decent sentiment, and also devoid of people who are both competent and incorrupt.

Those who want something at least semi-socialist (if naively so) are going Green. Also, to punish the fakery of Starmer-stein “Labour”.

Reform, too, is being supported not for its policies —or personalities— as such, but because it at least promises to cut some of the immigration and migration invasion, and bring back some law and order. People are supporting it for that, and because each vote for Reform means one more knife stuck into both Lab and Con, as in Murder on the Orient Express. People are getting seriously angry at both Lab and Con, as I have blogged for some time. Reform UK and Farage are the main beneficiaries of that.

That is why all the recent petty (and contrived) scandal and scuttlebutt about Farage and his people is not cutting through. People know Farage and Reform are flawed but will vote for them anyway, to get at Con and Lab, to stamp on them.

For me, Reform is a good way to being down the fake “two main parties” (and dustbin alternative LibDem) System. If/when Reform fails to rule the UK properly, real social nationalism can arise. “At the end stands Victory!“…

I would love to see all those Lab and Con careerists lose their seats, as well as incomes, perks, side-hustles etc. Upset and tears, no doubt, but “Moscow does not believe in tears“, in the old saying.

Look at the Gaza slaughter. Nearly 100,000 Arab Palestinians killed by Jews over the past two years or so, as against maybe 500 Jews killed two years ago by Hamas operatives in southern Israel/Palestine. A ratio of 200:1.

“Targeting civilians?” What has the Jewish state of Israel been doing for many decades, and particularly in the past couple of years? Gaza alone: 200,000 dead and injured, the vast majority civilians, the majority women and children.

“They” really cannot see themselves. Group-delusion.

Jews around the world are and have been, many of them, applauding the Gaza slaughter; few have openly opposed it.

Indeed, according to Jew-Zionist organizations such as the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, perhaps 96% of UK Jews support Israel, which at least implies that they, or most of them, support what Israel has been doing in Gaza for over two years.

Goodwin means manslaughter, not murder; otherwise correct.

The usual pro-“ethnic minority” (who will soon be, collectively, the majority…) tweeters are all attacking Goodwin, saying “it was just a slap” etc… Bottom line, a n** killed a white man who was trying to ask for decent behaviour, and now the untermensch will be out in about 3 years. Fact.

In what way can this pose as “democracy”?

The only good thing is that a real and angry head of steam is building up in this country. If it blows, Starmer-stein, Angela Rayner, Yvette Cooper, Rachel Reeves, Lammy etc will be blown off their perches forever.

For once, I wholeheartedly agree with Shelagh Fogarty. We Europeans do not have to respect the backward “customs” and habits of non-Europeans. We can ban both male and female genital mutilation (eg Jewish and Muslim circumcision), we can ban halal meat slaughter, we can ban kosher meat slaughter. (etc). We are Europeans, in Europe, and therefore hold society to European standards.

It would help, though, if British and other European-origin women actually learned to behave properly. Many do, some do not.

Eventually, the slide to chaos may create, a few years down the line, a need for a “Britischer Freikorps“.

I have actually been inside Wandsworth Prison, sometime around 1994, though only as an official legal visitor (barrister), there to consult with a lay client who was an abscondee or deserter from the Angolan Security Service. I was escorted inside the prison by a polite older type of prison officer (guard). There was discussion about the nice flower beds there. In other words, my experience was very different from that of a prisoner or, indeed, a family member visiting an inmate.

Inside, my conference took place in a rather odd room with pipes along the ceiling and walls, all painted a kind of depressing Victorian pale green. As I went in, I could see, not too far away, what looked like prisoners walking round in a large circle, some wearing civilian clothes, so presumably on remand awaiting trial. Though not smelly, the prison interior exuded a kind of slightly unclean ambience; hard to describe. As if it all needed a thorough clean.

That was over 30 years ago. Looks as though the prison, along with others, has since descended into chaos.

One thing about that Sky News report puzzles me; I have noticed the same previously. Why do so many of the UK’s urban “criminal classes”, even the seemingly white British ones, talk in a kind of pseudo-Jamaican patois? Maybe Lammy could answer that question, at least (?).

The UK could be getting oil and gas at cost, maybe even below cost, from Russia, dependent on UK foreign policy stances, but the System parties refuse to negotiate what could be a huge boon for the British people.

I do not know whether the pseudo-Conservative “Moderates” exist outside the lady’s own mind (I suspect not); neither do I know whether they are the product of a bottle of whatever the lady may habitually drink.

In any event, the “Moderates” idea goes nowhere. UK politics (as this blog has always predicted) are becoming more “extreme”. People want clear and radical policies to —and I use the word advisedly— save this country at a very late hour.

At a guess, an educated guess, I should say that the policies for which that lady advocates (pro-immigration, getting rid of the Triple Lock, rejoining the EU, supporting the Kiev regime etc) would, as a compendium, probably attract the votes of, at best, 5% of the population. At best. Totally out of touch. In any case, there is already a party that pushes such policies— the LibDems (currently around 10% in the polls, but mainly because they are a default choice or “dustbin party”).

At, again, a guess, I should think that the membership of the so-called “Moderates” consists of the lady herself and however many bottles she can line up.

If “Rachel from Accounts and Customer Relations” Reeves scraps the Triple Lock, almost all voters from about age 50 or 55 will scrap her and, with her, Labour. At a time when Labour are running at about 20% in the opinion polls, that would be the final nail, if not already hammered home, in the Labour coffin.

Runcorn and Helsby by-election

Well, the by-election is to be held the day after tomorrow, Thursday 1 May 2025. The chance for the voters of that area to make British political history. At present, Reform and Labour are neck-and-neck, according to the opinion polls. I have already blogged that I think that Reform can smash it, but that depends on all Reform-leaning voters getting out and voting, if they have not already done so by postal ballot. As for 2024 General Election Con voters, the Conservative Party candidate has no chance at all at the by-election (and got only 16% last year); so to stick it to Labour, vote Reform.

Any 2024 Labour voters wanting to send a message to Starmer-stein can either vote Reform (or, failing that, at least for some other party that is standing a candidate) or simply abstain.

If Reform can win the by-election, then both Labour and Con are doomed; if Labour manage to hang on, that too says that Labour is doomed, because Runcorn and Helsby was the 16th most-Labour seat as recently as July last year. A mere Labour win, unconvincing, would say that most of the country hates Starmer-stein and his fake Labour-label.

I agree with tweeter “@CambrayXX”. Who are the Labour Party supporters in these polls? I think that the answer is that the UK is now about 20% non-white. Labour Party support is running at about 25%. Most blacks and browns (and other non-Brits) vote Labour.

By my reckoning, and using Electoral Calculus, those figures would give Reform 271 MPs, Labour 176, LibDems 69, Cons 68. Enough of the surviving Con MPs would defect to Reform, or make an accommodation, to give Reform a working majority.

Hard to understand why any white English/Welsh/Scottish person would vote Labour-label now. The policies are indistinguishable from those pursued by “Conservatives” David Cameron-Levita and George Osborne from 2010-2015.

I think that, especially in the North of England, there are still people around who support Labour in the same manner as they do their local football team— unthinkingly, and because their grandparents did; and maybe they have not noticed that Starmer-stein’s Labour-label of 2025 is just not the same party Labour was in 1975, or 1965, or 1945. It has become a different party with a similar label.

The same or similar is true of many unthinking “Conservative” voters in the more southerly parts of the UK.

Who would vote for that Labour-label drone? Dishonest and useless. A local council “grifter”.

Seems that the Labour brand, so to speak, is being trashed not mainly by the drunken behaviour of thuggish ex-MP, Mike Amesbury, but more by Starmer-stein and his rabble of a fake Labour Cabinet. That woman in the doorway is going to vote not for Reform but for the Greens, as she finally said.

What a disappointment Dan Jarvis has been. I had thought that, as an ex-officer, and with a varied life-background, he would be better as an MP than he has been. Seems to be very pro the Jewish/Israel lobby, for one thing.

Actually, ex-officers usually are disappointing, not infrequently useless, both as MPs and, especially, as ministers (cf. Johnny Mercer, Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, Ben Wallace etc).

Stand by for the next “shock”— Starmer and Yvette Cooper “processing” asylum claims in France or even in Africa and Asia, and “allowing” (rubberstamping) 90%+ to come to the UK, then to claim housing, cash benefits, NHS and other services.

Somewhere down the line there will be a complete collapse of our society, possibly in, or followed by, a social/racial/civil war.

Incidentally, over 14,000 migrant-invaders have used the “small boats” method to arrive here this year, so far. That, though, is only about 5%, if that, of the total of migration to the UK so far this year. Over the whole of 2024, the total will be at least half a million, quite likely more.

I live very close to a small southern Hampshire coastal town, reputedly one of the most affluent in the UK. Over the past decade or so, I first noticed quite a few Chinese appearing in the streets, but at first not many blacks or browns, only the odd one. The proportion of all non-Europeans, compared to (real) British people, has risen inexorably. It is patent, quite visible on the streets, even here. In larger towns and cities, such as Southampton and Bournemouth, let alone London, it is much much worse, and still getting worse.

Much of Africa had functioning railways when Europeans ruled. Few of those lines are left (mostly in South Africa, but some elsewhere too). Some new lines are planned.

I myself have only travelled once on African rail but that was, again, under white European rule, in 1977, travelling from Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now “Zimbabwe”) to Gaborone in Botswana, an overnight journey that started just after midday, around 1300 hrs, at Bulawayo, and finished at seven-thirty the following morning at Gaborone. About 18 hours. The train then continued on into South Africa, finishing either at Ladysmith or Mafeking (I forget). That would have been inconvenient to me, so I hopped off in Botswana.

Fortunately, the train was not hit en route (as it had been several times previously) by rocket or small arms fire from African terrorists/guerrillas/”freedom fighters” in the Rhodesia-Botswana border area (take your pick as to designation), the Rhodesian Bush War being at or near its height at the time.

Actually, thinking about it, I did later travel three or four times more by rail in Africa: a couple of times by incredibly slow suburban rail in Alexandria, Egypt, but that was over 20 years later, in 1998: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/03/07/when-i-was-not-arrested-in-egypt/.

Also, a couple of times by very nice airconditioned train in Tunisia, in the mid-1980s.

I recall that, in 1984, when I was a taekwando beginner, I watched a film about South Korea’s advanced taekwando training academy, a modern white-painted concrete-and-glass building out in the Korean countryside. That film started with a contingent of trainees, all neat, none looking hot or sweaty, and all in white costume with black belts, jogging in perfect formation. The voiceover explained that the students had just finished a 10-mile run, and that all students at that academy were already of at least basic black belt standard when they started at the academy.

I wonder where Putin and the Stavka (Russian high command) will deploy those Korean troops. Clausewitz would seem to indicate that they be kept together rather than dispersed, thus forming a spearhead force that, concentrated on one area of the front, might be able to create a Schwerpunkt breakthrough.

The reasons for this latest injustice are, of course, obvious.

Firstly, Huw Edwards is a member of the System msm/political/talking head/scribbler club. Pro-migration invasion, pro-multikulti, pro-System, pro-Israel (probably), pro-Jew-lobby (almost certainly), pro-LGBTXYZ, pro-“trans” nonsense, and so on.

The lady sentenced to an incredibly harsh 31 months for an understandable (if unwise) tweet or whatever is not a member of that “club”. She is “just” a wife and (to use the very good American word) homemaker. A normal citizen, in short.

The System protects its own, such as Huw Edwards; ordinary citizens are treated like trash.

Secondly, Huw Edwards was guilty of a non-political offence. In the new sub-Stalinist Britain, socio-political “crimes” such as posting the “wrong sort of” tweet, or criticizing the Jewish lobby, or the migration invasion, are treated far more harshly than “real” crimes, non-political crimes.

Lucy Connolly has been treated harshly because of, and, in my opinion only because of, those two factors.

There was no evidence that any of the actual protesters or “rioters” were influenced by, or even saw, her tweet and/or her WhatsApp message (though that need not be proven to make out the offence). Still, those facts should surely mitigate sentence.

I have two or three further thoughts about the matter: firstly, that her husband or someone else should set up a GoFundMe or other crowdfunder for her; secondly, that she should have pleaded Not Guilty. She may well have been lucky in her jury.

It might also be worth her while to consider an appeal on sentence (alone).

As it is, 40% of 31 months translates to about 12 months and 1 week actually in prison. I believe that I read at the time of her arraignment that she was remanded in custody prior to sentence. That was sometime in August of this year, so she has already been in prison for —I think— over 2 months. That should mean that she can expect release within about 10 months. Still very harsh, in my view.

The sentencing judge (a Recorder, i.e. p/t judge, and barrister) apparently made the ridiculous remark today that “It is [a/the] strength of our society that it is both diverse and inclusive.” Does he really and honestly believe that?!

Incidentally, reading now the Evening Standard report published today [https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/tory-councillors-wife-lucy-connolly-jailed-for-31-months-for-inciting-race-hatred-b1188513.html], I see that “In a separate prosecution, father-of-three Tyler Kay was jailed for 38 months for re-posting part of Connolly’s offending message. The 26-year-old, of Ellfield Court, Northampton, admitted a charge of publishing material intended to stir up racial hatred.”

So another person has received a harsher yet sentence for merely having reposted part of one of Mrs. Connolly’s messages.

I have to say that Mrs. Connolly’s husband does not strike me as being or having been particularly outspoken in her defence, but I suppose that I could be mistaken about him. I should not like to think that his reserved response has anything to do with his pathetic local Conservative Party activity.

People have already lost faith in the UK political process, and the police. Until now, the courts have retained a measure of public respect. Will the courts and the judges now go the way of the politicians and police?

“Respect” is not quite the same as “fear”. Judge Jeffreys was feared but not respected. Look what happened to him.

I was not familiar with the facts of the case until (just now) reading the above link, but if the defendant did actually nothing, neither by deed nor by word (of incitement, though he did say things of an insulting and profane character), then how could any judge, properly directing himself, either find the defendant guilty (even on a plea of guilty, which may have been procured by fear of a heavier sentence yet) or hand down any custodial sentence?

I see now, in the Daily Telegraph report, that the defendant did in fact push at a police riot shield, though once only.

The judge was fair enough to have gone into recess at the trial, until further video evidence was screened.

Surely appealable, at least on sentence.

Indeed, if the defendant’s only action had been to be at the scene, and even if, so to speak, “silently in agreement” with the acts done by others, then that surely would not be enough? His words actually said were at worst ambiguous, in my view. Meaning that, on those premises, arguende, there was no actus reus sufficient in law (?). However, the pushing of the riot shield might (and obviously did) change that, in the mind of the judge. Rather thin, though.

Even if the judge felt impelled to imprison that defendant, surely 3 months would have been more than enough? He would then have been released within 4-5 weeks. Now, he will be spending about 5 months in prison, unless he gets bail pending any appeal on sentence.

Excessive.

Again, plainly excessive. A suspended sentence would have been appropriate; the immediate 15 months, in all the circumstances, and seeing the strong personal/family mitigation— savage. As it is, the defendant will only be released after 5 months (minus a few days).

Starmer and his compliant judges may have repressed the recent protests (which were coming to an end anyway— the (((Hope not Hate))) cabal just invented the spectre of 100 more “far right” protests— but, in my opinion, people are getting even angrier, albeit under the surface, and with both the general situation in the country and about the “elected” dictatorship (“elected” by a mere 20% of eligible voters) of Two-Tier Keir.

People are just wary of openly saying or publishing online anything now, because of the open repression of free speech, and because of the police-state over-reaction by both Two-Tier Keir and those judges who have recently been giving out Cold War East European-style “People’s Court” sentences (for political “crimes” only).

“ZELENSKY APPROVED PLAN TO BLOW UP NORD STREAM PIPELINES

Despite the mainstream media saying for months that Russia blew up the pipelines, the Wall Street Journal has now revealed it was planned and executed by Ukraine at a cost of $300,000.

When the CIA learned of the plan they told Zelesnky to abort it, however it still went ahead. According to senior Ukrainian defense and security officials, the pipelines were a legitimate target. They are jointly owned by Russian, German, French, and Dutch companies, and the explosion caused 800 million cubic meters of gas, equivalent to about 3 months of Danish gas supplies, to escape.

It’s a problem for Germany, as a senior official said: “An attack of this scale is a sufficient reason to trigger the collective defense clause of NATO, but our critical infrastructure was blown up by a country that we support with massive weapons shipments and billions in cash.” Ukraine still officially denies involvement in the attack.

Apart from that, throwing money at a trade union or its members, in order to ensure a period without strikes, is easy enough, and not some masterstroke of Labour Party industrial relations.
