I have blogged about this previously. Farage is, as the report notes, not alone. Repression on freedom of expression by banks (bank staff) has been a fact for a few years now. Laura Towler, Sam Melia, and Mark Collett, all of Patriotic Alternative, had their personal bank accounts closed. Straight political bias.
The only thing that will stop the trend to censorship and repression is if bank directors, managers etc are held accountable directly. The same goes for MPs, msm talking heads etc.

As the report does say, previous hot-June records were reached in both 1940 and 1976. Even the headline, “hottest June on record“, though technically correct, is misleading, because many will assume that records go back to maybe 1700 or so, which is not the case on a reliable or consistent basis.
In historical terms, 139 years (1884-2023) is almost nothing.

“What is conservative about privatisation? What has it conserved? How has it helped the nation be stronger and safer?

The modern Left is keen to nationalise childhood and what used to be the family. It defies any attempts to reform the NHS or the schools for the benefit of the public. But it long ago abandoned its 1945 enthusiasm for state ownership of the commanding heights of the economy.

And you might say that if Labour will not renationalise these failed private enterprises, what use is it? And I would agree with you.

That case is evidently an extreme example of a phenomenon often seen, perhaps especially in the UK, i.e. a woman trying to hold down a bigger job than that which she can handle, and trying to compete with male colleagues etc, while completely falling to pieces psychologically.

Sheree Spencer, the defendant, will be out in a couple of years, but (presumably) will now lose her (supposedly) “high-flying” Civil Service position. Also, one presumes that, while she is enjoying life in some women’s prison over the next two years, her husband will probably divorce her, and (as primary care-taker of their offspring) will be awarded the “family” house, very likely, or most of its value. She will therefore come out of prison to no house, no family, no job, and no future, aged 47 or 48.

Ukraine
As I blogged yesterday, it looks as though no breakthrough will be made on either side until after the thaw of the spring gives way to summer. I still have in my mind my dream (blogged about a few days ago) about 1 July being the start of a war, perhaps one involving the whole of Europe.
In the meantime, I am assuming that the Russian forces will continue to degrade the infrastructure of Ukraine in the major centres, particularly Kiev area.
Peace talks have effectively been ruled out by the Jew Zelensky. The pre-condition for even a limited ceasefire seems to be that Russia gives up all territory within the pre-2014 Ukraine borders, including Crimea. For Russia, that is unthinkable. After all, even if the forces of the Kiev regime were to achieve total victory, they would be in no better position than if Russian forces were to withdraw now. That being so, there is no incentive for Russia to withdraw now, even were it willing to do so.
The NWO/ZOG centres are now funnelling arms to the Kiev regime on a scale thought impossible 11 months ago. Russia will probably thus be pushed into a massive offensive when summer comes.

That was what happened in the Royal Navy and the U.S. Navy.
I recall that, when I first lived in the USA, in 1989 or 1990, the first US Navy ship to go mixed-sex was deployed to the Gulf. An aircraft-carrier, I think. The sailors did not object to nearly 100 women sailors joining the crew, but their wives certainly did! With some reason: when the deployment finished, it turned out that about 90 of the —less than 100— women on board had been made pregnant…
As for the Royal Navy, it matters little now, because the Royal Navy scarcely exists as an effective force. Apart from the paucity of ships, there is the question of the quality of many of the officers and men.
I happened to see about 15 mins of a documentary about a British warship. About a third of the complement seemed to be women. The junior officers (men and women) seemed to be incredibly dim, and rather wet (in a non-oceanic way). Drunk, too.
As for the crew, their shore leave in Italy ended with many drunk and near-incapable. Admittedly, rather an old naval tradition, but it was unpleasant to see, especially, the female members of the crew so drunk that they were unable to walk, falling into the gutter in their short skirts, just as they presumably did in the “left behind” UK towns from where many of them must have originated.

Christmas University Challenge
This evening, Hull University v. West of England University (“UWE”— at one time, Bristol Poly).
The two teams of alumni were not much good, though I thought that Hull (whose team won easily) was a slight cut above the other teams seen in recent days. Though I still think that I did at least as well as the winning team, I was lost on some of the mathematical and scientific questions (and, of course, popular music). On the other hand, so were most of the contestants.
I have to say that I was shocked at the ignorance of the UWE team, who could not even get the name of the US President in office in 1957 (Eisenhower), despite two of the team having reported for the BBC and (I think) Channel 4 for years. Unbelievable.

It is hard enough to beat a human grandmaster. In 1971 (I think), I took part in the Marlow International Chess Tournament, held in a school at Marlow, Buckinghamshire on a weekend in July. I camped in the grounds.
I took part in a “simultaneous exhibition”, in which a famous and very strong player takes on a number of others; in this case me and 19 others against Jana Hartston, a women’s grandmaster, former Czech women’s champion, and also (being then married to William Hartston, himself a grandmaster) British Women’s Champion.
I decided that I had no chance against her, so rather than trying to play seriously, started with a few conventional moves followed by an outrageously oblique one (not thought through at all). The result was mildly comical: the serious and youngish woman (she was herself only ~24 at the time; I was, I think, still 14) came swiftly around the rectangle of desks, each housing a chessboard. When she came for the third or fourth time to me, I made my move.
Madame Hartston paused, evidently puzzled for a moment, then made a swift move before moving on. I tried the same tactic again the next time round, but she barely paused.
I was checkmated after about 20 moves, if that, and was the second player to be beaten by her.
In the main tournament, I also fared badly, not lasting very long before being knocked out.
