The Conservative candidate (a woman, after the former male MP’s peccadillo; the thinking is so obvious, you can almost see the Con wheels turning) was a poor candidate; indeed, “thick as two short planks”, like so many State schoolteachers today, but that had little to do with the result.
The previous LibDem high point was in 2001 (35.8%).
What we have here is widespread dissatisfaction and indeed disgust at the present Boris-idiot misgovernment, which resulted at the by-election in much voter-abstention, probably much switching from Con to LibDem, and some tactical voting by those who might formerly have voted Labour.
For me, the most interesting aspect has been the collapse of the Labour vote.
The aforementioned tactical voting no doubt had much to do with the fall in Labour support from 19.5% to 3.7%.
The fall in numerical terms was even more stark— 11,654 Labour votes in 2019 compared to a mere 1,562 at the by-election, out of a total eligible electorate of about 76,000. The same candidate, too.
Interestingly, Labour’s highest vote-share in the constituency was not in the peak Blair years of 1997 or 2001 but in 2017, when Corbyn was Labour Party leader. 27.1%.
The lowest Labour share before this by-election came in 2010 (8.9%).
This is not, by any stretch, a good result for Jew-lobby or Israel-lobby puppet Keir Starmer. Even in 2019, the same Labour candidate managed 19.5%, over five times better than at this by-election. Some of the fall was no doubt by reason of (arguably) intelligent tactical voting; not all, though.
The four pseudo-national parties standing only managed 2.3%, taking all four together (Reform UK being top, at 1.1%).
Conclusion? “Conservatives” despised, and fake “Labour” also despised. As to the LibDem victors, as on previous occasions they have managed to present themselves as some kind of alternative, in the absence of a real one.
Wakefield by-election
The Wakefield by-election requires less analysis. The Labour candidate won easily. Factors were the imprisonment of the former (Con) MP for sexual assault on boys, and the general disenchantment with the Boris-idiot government, in a constituency which has returned Labour MPs since 1932, with the exception of 2019.
The high point for Labour was 1966 (65.39%). Sometimes, however, the margin of victory has been narrow. In recent decades, the Labour vote has been in general but slow decline. Even this by-election resulted in only 47.9%, about the same level as in most recent general elections.
It seems clear that, while the Labour vote-share did increase from 2019 (47.9% from 39.8%), that increase is quite modest. The Conservative decrease was rather greater. Seems that abstentions of former Con voters, rather than switches to Lab, were the drivers here.
As for the plethora of other candidates, only a local Pakistani independent saved his deposit (7.6%). The Yorkshire Party managed 4.3%.
The five broadly “nationalist” or pseudo-nationalist candidates got about 5% as a bloc, the top being Reform UK, on 1.9%, the lowest being Jayda Fransen, standing as Independent, with 0.1% (23 actual votes, out of a turnout of 27,466).
Labour will no doubt hail the Wakefield by-election result as “the Red Wall coming home” or some such. I think not. The Labour result was unspectacular in all the circumstances. I note that the Labour candidate was white English (albeit gay, so ticking at least one “woke” box). It may be that many English voters voted for him partly on the basis that he is white (Wakefield is about 90% white).
The two by-election results will be an unwelcome if not unexpected blow to Boris-idiot, who is hiding in Rwanda (presumably unable to find a fridge this time).
All the same, Labour’s performance has been pretty underwhelming; dull in Wakefield, and (despite the tactical voting aspect) disastrous in Tiverton/Honiton.
I should say that, if the Conservative Party can ditch Boris-idiot, and then somehow manage to find a leader at least not completely hopeless, they might well be able to fend off a Labour victory in 2023 or 2024.

Increasingly, in looking at blog posts both recent and old, I notice blank spaces where embedded tweets or YouTube videos used to be. I saw the same with my late mother-in-law. Having said that, the costs of care (even basic care) are huge, and the private organizations doing it are often a rip-off. Also, there is the point that the market value of real property has exploded in the UK over the past half-century, and that has intensified since 2000 or so. Thus the “net worth” of many has accumulated not because of the “graft” they have done in their lives, but partly, perhaps largely, because of the febrile UK property marketplace, burning hot because of cheap money and government policy.
There are many who do not have houses worth £500,000, a million, or more. There is an argument that the taxpayers, including all those poor people without real property, should not have to protect the inheritance expectations of the offspring of those who have accumulated capital via over-valued houses.

In the final analysis, if Russia hesitates now, its one chance to reset the NWO/ZOG agenda will have been lost. In a year’s time, any invasion of Ukraine will be ten times more difficult than it is now. This is not only a chance to seize Eastern Ukraine and Kiev (and possibly also Odessa and the littoral from Trans-Dniestria to Crimea, including the estuary of the Dnieper), but also a chance to redraw, strategically, the map of Europe as a whole, and a chance to derail the 2022-2055 agenda of the New World Order.
As to the flying visit to Kiev (yesterday) of Boris-idiot, there is really no point in blogging about it; a clown visiting a clown.

I suppose that turnout will be very low; we shall see. Anyone who voted Labour, LibDem, or Green last time is completely disenfranchised in this pseudo-democratic farce, and will feel unable to support any of the minor candidates standing. Many former Conservative Party voters will also not bother to vote, I should expect.
Anyone of a broadly “national” or social-national orientation has a choice, though a poor one: Jayda Fransen (Independent), Steve Laws (UKIP), or Catherine Blaiklock (English Democrats). “Heritage” and “English Constitution” (whatever that may be) are also standing.
Of the above lot, I think that Steve Laws is the best choice for a protest vote.

1989 saw the open proclamation by President Bush (snr) of the New World Order [NWO]; also the collapse, or the start of the final collapse, of socialism (in all forms) worldwide. Also, the emergence of China as a true world power, and the start of the destruction by the USA [NWO] and Israel of the Arab/Muslim oil bloc, and so its post-1956 stranglehold over the West.
2022 seems to be about to witness the installation of a worldwide biosecurity police state, which may include the microchipping of the entire population of the planet (thus the ability to control and track —and then target— anyone at the will of the NWO, 24/7).
This seems to be co-inciding with the implementation of the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan (“white genocide” if you like, meaning the elimination of the European peoples as truly European, racially), and that includes the flooding of all Europe, but particularly Western and Central Europe, by blacks and browns (migrant invaders).

Anyone who has visited an NHS hospital in the past 18 months (as I have, several times, as a specially-permitted visitor) must have noticed that hospitals have been largely empty, the few staff almost unoccupied. There are, probably, exceptions to my impression(s), perhaps in a few large cities, but I have seen what I have seen.

The pseudo-socialists on Twitter are just me-too idiots, whose only aim is to “deplatform” those with whose views and ideas they disapprove. No ideas about society, except that everything would, they imagine, be much better if advanced white societies were flooded even more by the backward and unpleasant from the black/brown areas of the Earth. They are basically “useful idiots” for those pushing the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan.
In fact, there is a need to depopulate, but the devil is in the detail. What is needed now is for the European populations to stay pretty much at their present levels, but for there to be a large-scale diminution of the non-European populations.

Wales is small (the same size as New Jersey, at about 8,000 square miles), and has three million people. Its resources traditionally lay in sub-surface minerals and rocks: coal, slate etc, now not hugely valuable or competitive internationally.
The agricultural sector relies on subsidy, much of Welsh agriculture consisting of uneconomic hill farms.
Tourism exists, mainly in some coastal towns but also elsewhere.
An independent Wales would be a very poor little state.
Aaron Bastani’s tweet, above, seems to envisage an independent socialist Wales. It seems to me that Wales is better off as part of the UK. After all, without UK (English) subsidy, Wales would have little money to subsidize its farming sector, the coal mines are merely historical now (and part of the “heritage tourism” trade), the slate mines still exist here and there but are hardly the basis for statehood’s necessary income, and tourism could not bear the financial load of true “statehood”. What else is there? Not much, I think.
In my view, a truly independent and socialist Wales would be as poor as North Korea after a while. An extreme view? Not really. How would the Welsh Government fund hospitals, schools, and so on?
Not that it could not be done. Will is all. If the 3,000,000 people resident in Wales (many of them now English) were to vote for real independence, they could make it work, up to a point. Why not? However, they would have to accept living standards far below even the modest ones now existent.
A good example of the political, or social, or ideological cover the “Covid” “panicdemic”/”scamdemic” gives to political apparatchiki. Had those “Abos” been detained for any other reason, or under any other excuse, the pseudo-socialists, “human rights” bods etc, even the msm talking heads, would have been outraged and up in arms against it. Not this time, because…”Covid”…the magic word that quells all opposition.

When the Hungarian Uprising occurred in 1956, those most closely involved with the repression of the population (secret policemen etc) were caught, and some of them suffered the supreme penalty at the hands of the rebels.
Britain was once proud of its civil rights. Even during WW2, when rights were partly suspended, few openly called for the introduction of a complete police state…yet here now in the UK, we see mediocre System msm mouthpieces openly calling for a system of secret informers, denunciation of neighbours and family members, authoritarian police presence on the streets and checking “papers”, and “volunteer co-workers” helping the State to keep the population repressed.
All that, notionally, for suppression of a virus which has (supposedly) killed about ONE in every FOUR THOUSAND people in the world (1 in 1,000 in the UK)…
