“Rishi Sunak has been given a glimmer of hope as a major new poll by Lord Ashcroft suggests that more than half of voters have yet to definitively make up their minds.
With less than five weeks until the General Election, the research shared exclusively with the Daily Mail found only four in ten have ‘definitely decided’ how to vote.
But in a sign of the mountain the Tories still have to climb, the poll gives Labour a 23 point lead.
Overall, it puts Labour on a 47 per cent vote share, with the Tories on 24 per cent, and Reform UK on 11 per cent.”
Assuming honesty and relative accuracy of the poll, several points stand out for me.
Firstly, that this poll is not at all the “glimmer of hope” for Sunak and the Cons that the report accompanying it is spinning.
42% have “definitely decided” which way they are going to vote. Looking at recent polling elsewhere, that must greatly favour Labour. As for “...leaning towards a party” but “not definitely sure“, that could apply to any of the parties, but if most end up with Labour, then it is possible that Lab could end up, overall, topping 50%, leaving the Cons with a MP cadre in the single figures.
It might also mean, thinking of my previous speculation on the blog, that there are more people than polls suggest willing to vote Reform UK, if only as a protest, or as a method of giving the time-expired Conservative Party a kicking without having to vote Labour. “Secret” Reform UK voters. Do they even exist? We do not know. I think that they may exist, but in what numbers?
Anything up to 31% of eligible voters may not vote, it seems.
One big unanswered question is how many under-40s and especially under-25s will bother to vote, they being heavily pro-Labour.
On the other hand, the over-70s are the only age demographic more likely to vote Con than Lab. If significant numbers either vote Labour (unlikely) or Reform UK (much more likely) or simply abstain (not unlikely) then Sunak and the Cons really are in trouble.
Other takeaways include the fact (if it is a fact) that only 23% think that Sunak etc can do better than others at “running the economy” (Lab 37%; Don’t Know 39%, tellingly). For a Prime Minister with a banking and financial/business background, and who was, not so long ago, Chancellor of the Exchequer, that is very much a thumbs-down.
The voters’ assessments of the characters of Sunak and Starmer are not so very different.
Sunak is assessed by only 8% as being “up to the job“, while only 12% assess him as even being “competent“. That’s damning. (Starmer’s equivalent ratings were 18% and 21%, scarcely a ringing endorsement, but still far better than Sunak).
Ashford’s poll figures, fed into Electoral Calculus [https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/userpoll.html] suggest a result of Labour MPs 513, Cons 71, LibDems 31, SNP 12, Greens 2, Plaid 3, Reform 0, Northern Irish 18.
Very very bad for the Conservative Party, but not quite existentially so..
On that basis, there would still be a considerable Con bloc of 71 MPs, and the Cons would still be the official Opposition, however ineffective.
My own feeling, whether it be right or wrong, is still that the Cons may be reduced to below 50 MPs, and that the LibDems may exceed that by default (tactical voting), thus making the LibDems the Opposition in the Commons.
If that were to occur, the defeat would be existential for the Cons. No “bright young” (mostly idiot) careerists (think Liz Truss, once upon a time…) would want to join, and big donors would not bother to pump money into funding the Cons. A “death spiral”, as people say.
Election date— Thursday 4 July 2024. Less than 5 weeks to go.

The American government seems to have lost, if not its mind, then any sense of perspective.
If Country A sells or, even worse, gives Country B arms and ammunition, and especially if that is with the express intent that Country B should attack the territory of Country C, then that is pretty close to being an act of war by Country A against Country C.

That led to people publishing confidential and dangerously defamatory information about me. And lots more people publishing crude and dehumanising abuse of me. As with “Boris”-idiot, there is something of the onion, or the matrioshka, about Starmer. Several layers, but nothing (or something quite different and/or alien) at the centre.
Performative Labour tribalist (who however always looks uncomfortable with that), one-time criminal defence barrister turned high-level public prosecution lawyer, the not-quite-true faux-proletarian background (parents not so poor, and who sent him to a partly fee-paying school in a good part of Surrey), the (half-) Polish-Jewish wife, and the children brought up as if fully-Jewish… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Starmer.
“Lady Starmer is Jewish and Sir Keir has talked about keeping the tradition of family Friday night dinners, where they are often joined by her father for prayers.“
So I suppose that Starmer wears one of those little skullcaps, a yarmulka (I think) on such occasions? Maybe, maybe not. I have not seen anything as to whether all attendees at such dinners do or not. The Jewish prayer part of that paragraph seems to suggest that Starmer does wear such headgear but (needless to say) I have never seen a photo of him wearing it.
“The YouGov/Sky News poll asked this week whether voters thought he would be a good or bad prime minister. Almost half – 47% – said bad. The older the voter, the more pessimistic they are.
Sir Keir is starting from a low base – not as bad as Rishi Sunak, but still bad. By contrast, only 33% said they thought he’d be good.
That level of enthusiasm suggests Sir Keir may not enjoy much of a public opinion honeymoon, just at a point where he is likely to have to start by making difficult decisions, most notably on raising taxes.
One of the themes of this election has been the party’s clarity that while it will promise not to raise income tax, national insurance and corporation tax, no such bar exists on other taxes.“
[Sky News]
He will probably raise the level of VAT. Even a 1% rise would harvest a huge amount of money. Pretty tough on poorer people, though…Maybe an increase in fuel duty, too (sold —or not— to the public as “green”, of course…).
Where is Starmer, ideologically?
“Starmer’s politics have been described as unclear and “hard to define”.[142][143][144] When he was elected as Labour leader, Starmer was widely believed to belong to the soft left of the Labour Party.[145] However, he has since moved to the political centre-ground.[146][147] By the September 2023 shadow cabinet reshuffle, most analysts concluded that Starmer had moved to the right of the party, and had demoted and marginalised those on the soft left, replacing them with Blairites.[148][149][150][128][127]
So, again, Starmer is impossible to pin down. Not socialist, not really even a social-democrat, yet also without any of the respect for private enterprise or private views that one used to see in the “small-c” conservatives.
“In April 2023, Starmer gave an interview to The Economist on defining Starmerism.[152][154] In this interview, two main strands of Starmerism were identified.[154]
The first strand focused on a critique of the British state for being too ineffective and over-centralised. The answer to this critique was to base governance on five main missions to be followed over two terms of government; these missions would determine all government policy.
Boiled down, what that seems to suggest is another Iain Dunce Duncan Smith-style attempt to harry the poor, sick, disabled (and the middle-aged not yet of State Pension age) to poorly-paid work “opportunities”, while cutting back social security “welfare” payments harshly. Also, Starmer will cave in to the any demands of the EU.
There is no obvious suggestion that Starmer and Rachel Reeves are interested in the effect of robotics and AI, which together may destroy existing jobs by the million, thus positing the need for Basic Income.
The last strand featured is as bad, or worse: caving in to the demands of the housebuilding industry.
Starmer will probably allow the large housebuilding companies to spread their expensive but often jerry-built “little boxes, made of ticky-tacky” across the English countryside.
Starmer will no doubt talk about the “housing crisis” but fail to note that most of that is consequential upon the migration invasion (a million or more every year now). Sajid Javid, another pro-Israel puppet (now washed-up politically), also showed himself unwilling to see the facts:
Try 10-15 million (over the past 25 years, including births to immigrants)…
As to the mass immigration influx itself, Starmer-Labour will eventually stop most of the cross-Channel small-boat invasion by the simple expedient of setting up “processing centres” (maybe simple offices) in Northern France. There, the would-be invaders will, almost all of them, have their applications to enter the UK rubber-stamped.
At present, 80% of those arriving here and claiming “asylum” have their applications approved anyway (under a system that was out of date decades ago), so Starmer will simply lower the bar even further so that 90% or 95% are approved (filtering out, it will be claimed, any known criminals or terrorists— all bs of course). The public will then be sedated into complacency— far fewer “small boats” (or invaders ferried in by the RNLI, Navy, Border “Farce” etc) will be seen arriving.
In fact, the more obvious criminal/terrorist invaders will still arrive, using the “small boat” or “back of truck” methods, but the numbers will be only about a twentieth of the number now arriving. As to the rest, armed with their new Starmer-visas, they will just take the ordinary ferries.
Of course, Starmer will not “solve” the migration-invasion crisis, but just cover it up. That is what he does. There is a massive dishonesty lurking in Starmer.
More? “Starmer has pledged to halve the rates of violence against women and girls, halve the rates of serious violent crime, halve the incidents of knife crime, increase confidence in the criminal justice system, and create a ‘Charging Commission’ which would be “tasked with coming up with reforms to reverse the decline in the number of offences being solved”.[190] He has also committed to placing specialist domestic violence workers in the control rooms of every police force responding to 999 calls to support victims of abuse.[191]
After confirming he would not scrap the current two-child benefit cap, Starmer was criticised by many within his own party.[193]“
[Wikipedia]
There is a thread there, a thread of antipathy to civil rights; a thread of authoritarianism .
Remember how Starmer wanted even fiercer, more restrictive, and longer-lasting “lockdowns” during the 2020-2022 currency of the “Covid” panicdemic/scamdemic?
My response?
There are times in history when authoritarian government is inescapable; even outright —though temporary— dictatorship. However, that should not be the norm, particularly in a country such as the UK, with its history of gradually-broadening rights and freedoms.
In other words, Starmer is a “chosen” part of the whole NWO/ZOG matrix, and that of course includes the plan to destroy the future of the European peoples, the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalergi_Plan.
Starmer may take part in Jewish pre-prandial or post-prandial (?) prayers (as he has stated) but, once again, that seems to be something merely performative with him, he being an atheist anyway.
Foreign policy is easy to predict: Starmer was willing to say that the “Israelis” have every right to shut off even water to the suffering children of Gaza. He is a Jewish-lobby and Israel-lobby puppet. Completely.
Other than that, Starmer will do whatever the “Americans” (the USA’s ruling circles and cabals) want him to do. So… “support” for Israel, “support” (money, arms etc ) for “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime) etc.
Incidentally, there is much election bs being talked by Labour Party supporters as to how Labour will be a kinder sort of government than that of Sunak’s clowns. I doubt it. I would not put anyone in charge of such as Rachel Reeves, Yvette Cooper, and the other Labour Friends of Israel types. As to Starmer, his support for Israel cutting off food and even water to the women and children of devastated Gaza shows just how far his much-trumpeted “compassion” goes…
If Starmer is willing to cut off food and water to the suffering civilians of Gaza, what might he be willing to do to the people of the UK?
I see no real centre to Starmer; even his doglike loyalty to Israel and the Jew-Zionist lobby seems performative, yet that is the only thing that seems to mean anything at all to him.
Starmer displays no obvious ideological loyalty (as such), no old-fashioned class-loyalty (to any social class or category), and no religious loyalty (an atheist, presumably originally Church of England).
Who, really, is this?
It is hard, of course, to see evil in someone as dull as Starmer, despite the oft-quoted words of Hannah Arendt about “the banality of evil“. The expectation, I think misguided, is that Evil, whether cosmic or on the mundane plane, will somehow be more interesting than the Good.
Starmer should worry people, not because he has expressed any particularly “evil”, or even “bad” ideas (he even weaselled ab out cutting off water to families in Gaza, tried to evade the question etc), or some kind of (obviously) sinister ideological base, but more because he, like those he gathers closely around him, has no ideas beyond the most shallow. Someone trying to be elected (in effect) as Prime Minister is expected to come up with at least a few ideas, if not a coherent ideology, and Starmer either does not or cannot.
Will Starmer-Labour create a better Britain? No. I see a harsher, more intrusive police state likely to emerge. Mass immigration will continue, perhaps in even greater volume, and our towns and cities will, despite the encroaching police state, become no-go areas policed by even-less responsive paramilitary police.
Economically? A gradual downturn. The spending cuts agenda apparently very likely, combined with the cost of the continuing migration invasion of parasites, as well as the backfire effect of sanctions against Russia will ensure that.
Starmer’s government will, as predicted by Matt Goodwin, become very unpopular very quickly. However, in the absence of any real Opposition in the Commons (the Con —or possibly LibDem— official Opposition, post-GE 2024, may have only about 50 MPs), it may be possible for social nationalism to make real headway outside, in the “real world”.
Election notes
Well, we now know that 4 July 2024 is to be the fateful day. Is it a co-incidence that that is Independence Day in the USA? Does the choice of day have some symbolic, even occultic, significance? Maybe not, but there seems to be no obvious reason for that day to be the day.

Ha. Quite. Scotland, were it to vote for the SNP’s faux-“Independence”, would not be governed by Westminster, true, but it would be governed by the EU, by American or NWO/ZOG influence (NATO etc), by the international banking system etc, and domestically probably by a Pakistani “Scotsman”. Who are the SNP trying to fool? The Scottish people, I suppose.
I see that the SNP is now predicted to win as few as 12 seats (out of 57) this year, from 48 (out of 59) won in 2019. I think that the SNP has had its day as an overwhelming force in Scotland. In 2015, it suddenly shot into prominence with 56 out of 59 Scottish Westminster seats, but the last 9 years have been riven with scandal and underperformance. Above all, not only has Independence not happened, fewer Scots now support it than did a decade ago; it is a minority cause.

Now the “blue sky” Hungarian-origined “thinker” —resident in California at last hearing, having left the UK and taken on U.S. citizenship— opines about the 2024 UK General Election.
He writes that “…somehow I donāt think Sunak does accept the inevitability of defeat.
You donāt get to be in his position, with all the success he has achieved in his career and his life, without exceptional drive and determination. I simply cannot believe that someone that impressive ā Oxford, Stanford, Goldman Sachs, Prime Minister within seven years of becoming an MP ā is content to just drift out of office without a fight.“
[Daily Mail]
Those words alone show how out of touch “Hilton” is, and how easily dazzled. Yes, Sunak got a degree from Oxford University (after having been at Winchester College, where he became Head Boy, it would be almost surprising had Sunak not gone on to Oxford). So what?
Sunak then went on to Stanford University, and graduated with an MBA. OK, but so what, really?
Indeed, and in all fairness, Hilton’s own academic achievement, coming from his level of poverty or near-poverty in childhood, was more creditable than that of Sunak: Christ’s Hospital (school) on a bursary, followed by Oxford University.
“Hilton” then praises Sunak for having worked (for about 2 years or so) at the Goldman Sachs financial outfit. Not everyone thinks that that is a recommendation, but “Hilton” is no doubt dazzled by the money Goldman Sachs pay some of their staff.
“Hilton” himself was brought up in a fair degree of poverty, by a mother abandoned by her husband; she and her son survived only by reason of the State benefits that “Hilton”, as well-overpaid and useless adviser to Cameron-Levita’s “Conservative” government (2010-2015), later did his best to take away from other poor, sick, and disabled people.
As the Germans say, “put a beggar on a horse and he rides it to death“…
As to Sunak’s money, much of it has come, directly or indirectly, from his marriage to a super-wealthy Indian, daughter of an Indian billionaire. Anyway, as far as I am concerned, I do not, without more, respect money-jugglers. Maybe “Hilton” does.
It must have been galling for “Hilton” to forever be around the wealthy and politically-powerful, including his own wife, Rachel Whetstone [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Whetstone], yet have only the hanger-on’s level of influence, and nowhere near as much wealth, though at Downing Street, “Hilton” was paid or overpaid some Ā£200,000 p.a., (worth maybe Ā£240,000 p.a, in 2024 money). Good pay, yes, but a high salary is not the same as having serious capital.
“Hilton” also forgets to note that Sunak is “in his position” purely because two other idiots, “Boris” Johnson and Liz Truss, had to resign. Sunak (like Truss) has never led his party into an election; the Premiership was simply gifted to him.
“Hilton” goes on to write that ” Now, after years of chaos, Britain seems to be on the right track. But, make no mistake, a Labour government would set things back. Whatās needed now from Sunak is energy, aggression and inspiration ā and then he could pull off an even greater upset than John Major achieved in 1992.”
Absolutely asinine.
“Hilton”, the not very successful spin-meister, seems to imagine that, if only Sunak and the “Conservatives” were to really attack Starmer and his crew, the electorate will rally round the Cons. A brainless “analysis”, though I agree with Hilton that Starmer really offers nothing but a change of personnel.
As for “Britain seems to be on the right track“, from where does “Hilton” get that idea? It flies in the face of facts flagrantly obvious to anyone with eyes and any perceptiveness at all; Britain is quite obviously not“on the right track“.
A million unwanted non-Europeans, mostly (at best) parasites, entering the UK every year; a health service on its knees; a police service unable or unwilling to do its proper job, but at the same time all too eager to “cosplay” as a poundland Stasi or KGB, snooping on tweets and blogs; poor pay for most, and a continuing squeeze on the State benefits which sustained the young “Hilton” and his mother; a housing crisis caused or made far worse by the all but uncontrolled mass migration invasion; potholed and unrepaired roads and highways; a government throwing money and military support at “Ukraine” (the corrupt, brutal, and shambolic Kiev regime of the Jew Zelensky) and Israel; filthy rivers…it just goes on.
I suppose that the Daily Mail paid “Hilton” well for his little piece of “analysis”, if you can even call it that. Money wasted.
To my mind, whatever Sunak now says will either accomplish nothing to mitigate what must surely be a catastrophic election result for the Con Party, or may well make it all worse for them.
So far, a disastrous General Election announcement, with Sunak all but washed away by heavy rain; a visit to the Titanic museum in Belfast (you couldn’t make it up!); and now the announcement that, if re-elected, the “Conservatives” will reintroduce mandatory 1950s-style conscription (with a few semi-“woke” tweaks) for all (?) 18-y-o young men (and women?).
As I noted on the blog yesterday, the “National Service” idea seems designed to appeal to some kind of “false memory” delusion in some 70-100 year old Con Party voters, rather than being serious policy.
As I noted yesterday, after a date in 1957 no young men born after August 1939 were called-up (drafted), and call-up ceased in 1960 (though a relative few served until 1963).
So someone today would have to be at least 85 to have actually experienced the former “National Service”, which varied much.
For example, one of my uncles served, on an easy and almost 9-5 basis, as a lecturer in the Army Education Corps; his son, my slightly-older cousin, not seen by me since 1970, became a lecturer at Oxford University and then senior lecturer (mainly American Literature, I think) at Edinburgh University; he has apparently also written a number of books on literature, published by Oxford University Press.
Meanwhile, another uncle, circa 1950, was some kind of accountant in the Pay Corps, based in places such as North Wales, as far as I know. Hardly thrilling. Other and less fortunate conscripts, though, found themselves fighting in swamps and mountains against people out to kill them. Korea, Malaya, Cyprus etc.
At any rate, that “National Service” idea alone has probably cost the Con Party a million General Election votes overall.
With everything so wrong in the country, Sunak goes with conscription as his Big Idea?! He really should have stayed in the world of corporate finance, juggling money.
I think that “Hilton” should go home to California, if that is where he now mainly lives, and stop trying to comment on a British society and political landscape which he no longer understands, if he ever did.
Al-Qassam launched about 10-12 long-range rockets, from Rafah, travelling 100-110km to hit Tel Aviv, after a hiatus of 4 months. The Iron dome failed to intercept the rockets, more than 8 direct impacts were made, causing material damage and the ignition of fire. pic.twitter.com/S8plXtmr1B
The importance of that is less in the limited material damage done, and more the fact that, despite the devastation of Gaza, despite the huge number of casualties (mostly civilian), despite the Israeli ground invasion, despite everything, the Hamas organization in Gaza remains able to fire rockets capable of penetrating the defences of Tel Aviv and causing at least some damage.

The Labour Party cannot get through this campaign while remaining so vague and abstract on their plan for public spending cuts. Talking about teeny tiny gains from non-doms and private school fees won't cut it. Everybody knows this.#BBCLauraK
Au contraire, that is exactly what Starmer-Labour can do. Yes, they have no publicly-palatable plan, and secretly are planning to do a Cameron/Osborne Mark 2, but up to the 4th of July they will just rely on the hatred and contempt felt by the voters for Sunak’s hapless bunch of clowns.
Most people want rid of the “Conservatives”; the fact that Labour will also be terrible in government, maybe worse, scarcely impinges. Only 5 and a half weeks left before the General Election. Postal voting will be happening from about 3 weeks from now. Time is not on the side of Sunak and his party.

“Britain is in its worst financial position in 70 years” Bloomberg quotes the director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) Johnson, who said that the next British government will face problems not seen since the 1950s and that politicians have three ways out of the crisis: painful spending cuts, tax hikes to 80 maximum or significant increase in debt.”
“Labour”-label will probably continue to degrade public services, social security etc. The spending cuts of 2010-2015 began, or began to be planned, under Labour’s, Gordon Brown’s, government in the years prior to 2010.
Look at Rachel Reeves. Is she someone anyone at all would trust to be decent or “caring”? I think not.

Rosindell also blocked the Parliamentary bill that would have stopped animals being used in circuses. What a horrible person.
Sadly, Rosindell’s seat is Romford, Essex, a safe Con Party constituency.

“Thinking about why the Tories have called the election early despite clearly being in for a drubbing, I agree with @AMercouris of the Duran: the entire establishment is most worried not about Tory v Labour but about the possibility of alternative parties making gains, however small.
The more time that goes by, the more the voters realise how much they hate both the Tories and Labour. If these are the only choices, vast swathes of the people will simply stay away from the polls (as they stayed away from the recent local elections). But if there are alternative candidates from Reform and the Workers party, and those parties have the time to organise their campaigns while the war criminals continue to become ever more unpopular, there’s every chance they could win a few seats.
Even without winning seats, they could prevent Labour from getting its landslide by gaining vote shares in many constituencies that Labour hopes to take from the Tories.
Getting a stable Labour government installed on a low turnout seems to be the main aim of the ruling class right now. It’s been clear they’ve been grooming Starmer as the next PM for a long time. He’s 100% their man ā a servile lackey who will commit any crime required and an ultra-zionist. And he has the huge advantage of trade union backing at a time when more and more anti-worker measures are going to be implemented and more aggressive wars launched.
A hung parliament would be a nightmare for this agenda, as would a parliament with anti-EU and/or antiwar troublemakers putting pressure on the ‘uniparty’ loyalists and exacerbating the crisis of legitimacy by making embarrassing demands from the back benches.
Anyone considering whether / how to vote should remember that this election has no ability to solve any of our problems, which stem from the capitalist system itself ā from the global capitalist crisis of overproduction (and consequent poverty, unemployment and inflation) and from the desperate imperialist war drive.
The only useful thing you can do with your vote is use it to back Workers Party or independent candidates if they STAND AGAINST NATO, OPPOSE THE LABOUR PARTY, AND OPPOSE THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA.
If we can get a few anti-Nato, anti-genocide MPs in Parliament, it will be a major irritation to the establishment, and a permanent reminder to the British people that their will is ignored by the vast majority of their ‘elected representatives’. If we can help deny Labour the huge majority that the corporate media are confidently predicting, so much the better.”
I agree with the basic premise, but not with the conclusion there. If the Con Party can be all but wiped out this year, left with only a risible rump of deadhead MPs, that may unbalance the whole “2 main parties” System scam, leaving a vacuum that social nationalism may then fill, though not immediately (because no real social-national party exists).

“…If such authentic souls, such honest anthroposophists can be found … then an upward movement and dynamic will arise. If such souls do not appear, then decadence will take its inexorable downward course… Today humanity stands before a great crisis: either it will see all civilization collapsing into the abyss, or else spirituality will raise civilization up by the power of the Michael impetus, through which the Christ impetus works, thus continuing, enriching and sustaining it.‘” [Rudolf Steiner 1861-1925].
Five years or so ago, when I wrote the above blog post, I highlighted a number of possible events that might end, or almost end, our present civilization. A possible and possibly contrived pandemic was one, and one of the others was nuclear war.
Since 2019, the push, mainly in the West, for war, especially war with the Russian Federation, has become almost a clamour.
We look at, perhaps particularly, the First World War, and ask “why on Earth did they do it?“, it seems so senseless on looking back. Yet look now: a ridiculous contrived Russian ogre has been conjured into existence, supposedly threatening Central and Western Europe.
The fact that Russian forces have failed even to crush the corrupt and shambolic regime in Kiev seems not to have dented the “Russia threatens us” narrative. The Russians may have been unable to take or destroy Kiev, but they, we are told, now certainly threaten Warsaw, Berlin, Paris, and London.
There again, Russia today is merely and ordinarily nationalist; there is no inherently-expansionist Marxist-Leninist ideology, as there was during the currency of the Soviet Union.
The whole idea is senseless.
More and more powerful missiles and other arms are being given to the “Ukrainians” (the Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev). Only today, a Russian nuclear early-warning station was destroyed.
Be under no illusions: nuclear war on the strategic level might be triggered by only one incident, leading to an intercontinental nuclear exchange within days. Such an event or series of events has been foretold in major staff college war games over the past 60 years.
Were such a catastrophe to happen, the way back for our whole civilization would be long and hard, if it could even take place. Almost everything we know and live among would cease to exist. 99% of the world’s population, certainly Europe’s, would not survive.
Well, this week brings another victory over political journalist John Rentoul, who scored a very modest 3/10; I trumped that with 5/10. I knew the answers to questions 2, 4, 6, and 9; I literally guessed no. 3 (I think it was in the back of my mind, though; I may have seen it somewhere, somewhen).
“16th century possible murder victim laid to rest at St Mary the Virgin, in South Baddesley, after remains found on Sowley Beach in the New Forest.
A suspected New Forest murder victim was this week buried in a āonce-in-a-lifetimeā service, some 500 years after he met his end.
The remains of the unknown man were laid to rest about five centuries after he was initially disposed of in a āclandestineā fashion, as revealed by the A&T.
The 25-minute ceremony took place two years after his medieval-era skeleton was found in mysterious circumstances on a beach near South Baddesley.
[Steve West/A&T]
As reported in the A&T, after a lengthy investigation, archaeologists have since concluded that āfoul playā may explain how he came to be there.
Tuesdayās special funeral took place at St Mary the Virgin, in South Baddesley. Around 50 attendees ā comprising nearby residents, those who had been involved in research and local historians ā came to pay their respects.
Mourners were greeted and handed a leaflet titled āThe Funeral and Burial of the 16th Century Man Known only to Godā.
The Very Rev Gordon Wynne conducted the service, which included a medieval hymn before the handmade wooden casket was buried in the church graveyard.
The funeral comes after police were alerted in May 2022 by local resident Graham Coulter who helped excavate the human remains after half a skull became exposed in the mud near the mouth of Lymington River.
Speaking after the ceremony, the chartered surveyor, who lives in Lymington, said: āI think itās a nice reflection on Christianity and mankind.āItās very moving. Itās nice people turned up to give him a proper send-off.ā
The rare remains ā of which 80% of the body was still present ā were recovered from Sowley Beach. They were given a radiocarbon dating estimating them to have been buried in AD1450-1650.
An osteoarchaeologist who studied the 5ft 4in (1.63m) skeleton concluded it was likely to have been a 20 to 25-year-old adult male.“
[Graham Coulter, finder of the skeleton (picture: Steve West)]
[skull at time of discovery]
[New Milton Advertiser & Lymington Times; n.b. I have corrected a few errors of spelling etc]
The full report is a good read, though it is disappointing to see that the senior archaeologist at the local council thinks that 1450-1650 comes within the “mediaeval” period. Either the Renaissance or, just about, the early Enlightenment.
It was amusing somehow to read that a person holidaying in the area, and who attended that religious service, was one Kathryn Tudor! Like something from The Morning of the Magicians [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Morning_of_the_Magicians].
Mrs. Tudor, however, is another who seems to imagine that the period in question was “mediaeval” (as does the local newspaper). Our English education must be to blame. G.K. Chesterton expressed a similar irritation to mine via his fictional Father Brown detective-priest, and that was a century ago.
Have I identified an historical gap in the market for detectives in literature? 1450 to 1650. I have never heard of a fictional detective operating in those centuries.
Well, that story is a delightful English vignette. Somehow charming, intriguing, and unsullied by contact with too much of England in 2024. More like something out of M.R. James [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M._R._James].
“A second haul of alcohol has been stolen from a Lymington store, which has now seen more than Ā£1,000 worth taken over the two incidents.
As reported by the A&T yesterday (Thursday) 21 bottles of champagne valued at £717 were taken from Marks & Spencer on St Thomas Street on Tuesday 30th April, and CCTV pictures were released of a pair wanted by police.
Now officers have made a second appeal over an incident at the same store between 1.10pm and 1.40pm on Wednesday 15th May, when the eight bottles of champagne and spirits valued at Ā£326 were taken.“
How time flies. When I first heard of Rupert Sheldrake, in the early 1980s, he was a still-youthful 39 or 40, and I was in my mid-twenties. Now he is 81, nearly 82, incredibly, and I myself am no longer young (67).
“I think it’s dangerous that people should be allowed by our liberal societies to put that kind of nonsense into currency” [John Maddox].
You can see the kind of thinking that leads to those people who doubt orthodox views, whether re. “climate change” aka “global warming”, or re. the “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic, or other matters, being pilloried, while others (msm talking heads, scribblers etc) parrot System orthodoxy, and say that the dissidents or freethinkers should be incarcerated, deprived of medical services, bankrupted etc.
Who has contributed more to science and to this country, Sheldrake, or Maddox? I say Sheldrake.
Incidentally, I see that Sheldrake’s wife, Jill Purce, is also an interesting personality (I had not known of her until today): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jill_Purce.
“The NHS has today been accused of providing ‘inadequate’ pain relief to women who have suffered agonising childbirths.
Under health service guidance, new mums can be discharged just a day after undergoing a C-section or vaginal birth.
But they are advised to take just paracetamol or ibuprofen to manage symptoms.
Campaigners and doctors slammed the move, claiming it was yet another example of women’s pain issues in healthcare being ignored or underplayed.“
[Daily Mail]
Still clapping?
The fact is that we now have health rationing in the UK. There has always been an element of that but it is now becoming impossible to ignore. It is not OK to simply repeat the old slogans of “our NHS” etc and how the rest of the world supposedly envies it (which is not true in respect of most advanced countries).
I am totally in favour of “free at point of use”, but the existing NHS model is just not working. Resourcing is one factor, but attitude and ethos is another one, and one that must be addressed. Also, pervasive maladministration.
The elephant in the room, though, is mass immigration. A population of 56 million when I was growing up has become one, officially, of 65 million, and probably 70 million in reality, with about a million more coming in every single year. Something has to give. Various things are giving, are cracking. Health provision is one of those.

SUNAK WARNS LABOUR'S IMMIGRATION POLICIES COULD HARM ECONOMY
In his inaugural campaign speech leading up to the British general election on July 4th, Prime Minister Sunak asserted that only his party could be trusted to manage the economy and secure borders effectively.
Ha ha! Has the little Indian money-juggler somehow failed to understand that, under “Conservative” misgovernment, immigration is running at about a million a year now, out of which “only” about 50,000 are coming here on small boats (in reality, often ferried in by UK Border Force, RNLI, and Royal Navy)?
Has Sunak not understood that 80% of “asylum-seekers”, even those entering in backs of trucks or on rubber boats, are eventually given “Leave to Remain” under a system and legal framework which came from the 1950s and is now totally ridiculous and out of date ?
No, Sunak knows all that. He just hopes that the British people do not.
Labour, of course, will just do the same but in a different way, by allowing almost all to enter the UK “legally”. Reality? No difference in terms of end-result.
Labour confirms it will give 16 yr olds the vote. Here's Labour's plan to rewire Britain's democracy ššhttps://t.co/UA2ukmAI16
Persons aged 16 are far more likely to vote Labour, at present (about 90%); thus Labour hopes to entrench its likely large majority of 2024 in 2029.
“Man proposes, God disposes“, though. Those 16-18 y-o voters of 2024, and their successors, might go another way completely after 5 years of (as I firmly expect) useless and yet repressive Starmer-Labour government.
On the wider point, if Goodwin is correct and Starmer intends to prevent any real democratic revolt against his planned “woke” tyranny, then he must expect the consequences. As John F. Kennedy said, “those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable“.
Imagine, if you will, Britain in 2034, after 10 years of Starmer-Labour.
A population of about 80 million or more, more non-European than white, at least in the main cities and towns; the country in an irreversible economic slide, with pay very low, and with State benefits equally low and restricted to ever-smaller groups; pensions not keeping pace with inflation; the roads scarcely repaired; the NHS even worse than under the “Conservatives”, and become a world leader in…waiting lists, poor treatment, and negligence; ever-greater numbers of blacks and browns (etc) flooding in, but the numbers officially concealed; Jewish-Zionist supremacism ever-more evident, but any criticism muzzled by even more restrictive and repressive “hate speech” laws.
Needless to say, by 2034, let alone 2044, the central areas of the cities will have become almost no-go areas for real Brits, as crime and disorder take hold. London is already halfway there.
In those circumstances, any measures taken by the British people themselves would be justified.

So that writes off the votes of the tiny minority of the young who might have voted Con. Beyond that, this is not a serious policy idea, more an attempt to shore up the collapsing Con vote among those 70+.
National Service ended over 60 years ago (gradually from 1957, though anyone born after 30 September 1939 was exempted). The last call-up was at the end of 1960; the last conscriptee was discharged in 1963.
In other words, only those (some) people of 85+, and who served under legal compulsion, would still be alive today.
Incidentally, who do you think will be taking all available jobs while the UK-born 18-21 y-o contingent are polishing boots, being beasted on assault courses, or being taught how to shoot hostile targets and not the local farmworkers? That’s right— the recent immigrants.
Just the way to achieve “community cohesion”…
This is some kind of pathetic appeal to misplaced nostalgia, designed (perhaps stupidly) to appeal to the very elderly (most of whom still vote Con anyway).
A few years ago, I would have supported this, but with all of the Ukraine/Israel war etc and my eyes open to government propaganda, I'm not sure if I'd support my son signing up to be exploited as propaganda government fodder. https://t.co/VKDyNVcr3P
You will not get much of interest from the likes of that “Akunjee” character.
Only the most awake (not “woke”) people understand that the NWO/ZOG System has chosen Starmer as its puppet to become an “elected” (via rigged selection and election procedures, FPTP voting etc) dictator, casting Britain into the pit of migration invasion, mass race-mixing and mixed breeding, and gigantic repression on free speech, dwarfing anything yet seen.

I still cannot understand why Sunak went out in the pouring rain to announce GE 2024. Was he trying to show the population that he is stoic, or a tough guy of some kind? What it said to me is that he is an absolute idiot, for all his paper qualifications; someone who does not know enough to put on a raincoat when it is raining hard, or at least have someone hold an umbrella over him. Someone such as that has not the basic nous to be Prime Minister.
Actually, what is the point of “National Service” even if the scheme could be enforced? In any serious war with Russia (the scenario constantly being pushed; no other exists), there will probably be a nuclear exchange before very long. The UK would be a, perhaps the, prime target for Russian attack. The “National Service” “chocolate soldiers” would be but pillars of ash long before being deployed anywhere outside the UK.
Come to think of it, how exactly would UK troops on any large scale be deployed? Both the air force and navy are now very small, and the air lift capacity very limited as well. As for the Royal Navy, its new aircraft carrier could carry a large number of troops, but it is not even defended by many naval fighter aircraft. It would probably be sunk long before it got to the Black Sea or Baltic.
I was out early today, before 0700 hrs, and the English countryside was arguably at its best in the fresh breeze and sun of the early summer (though I also very much love the autumn). How terrible if those green trees and sculptured ranks of hedges and topiary were to become a charred and irradiated wasteland, all because of a completely unnecessary and contrived war with Russia…

Antonov hits the nail on the head. Washington's reckless actions are only pushing us closer to conflict. Instead of prolonging this proxy war, it's time to think about real diplomacy and the future of US-Russia relations. Peace should be the priority, not endless military aid.
“Antonov: No one in Washington is thinking about the future of relations between the US and Russia “The American authorities do not think about the future of Russian-American relations and are engaged in destroying them”, said the Russian ambassador to the USA, Anatoly Antonov, commenting on the new American package of military aid to Kiev.“

'We have to draw a line somewhere. We cannot just keep taking people from war torn countries.'@GoodwinMJ argues why Britain should not take in refugees from Gaza.
Jewish woman, one Zoe Grunewald, wants the UK (not herself personally, of course; she probably lives in a leafy suburb or other area far from the terrible society that is already developing by reason of migration-invasion) to take millions of “refugees”.
I also disagree with her view that “we” (British people) feel “proud” that “we” accepted Jewish “refugees” in the 1930s. Many of us actually think that that was a catastrophic error.
In principle, there are maybe 800 million people worldwide who, under the present framework, might have a “legitimate” claim to be granted asylum. Add to that the hundreds of millions who might make claim to asylum illegitimately, and you see the point— the UK cannot, could never take a billion or more persons, a number about 15x the present UK population.
It is often said that that would never happen, that the number who might come here is far lower. Perhaps, but then what is that number? 150 million (which would triple the existing UK population)? Even that would completely collapse our present society. Lower yet, say 75 million? That would still double the existing UK population, and would also shatter our society, irrevocably.
At present, about a million migrant-invaders are coming to the UK each year. Most are not “asylum-seekers”, but that is irrelevant; all that matters is the total number.
Matt Goodwin should have made those points, not his poor point about how a couple of foreign girls in the UK put paraglider motifs on their clothing after the October 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas operatives.

At long last, the truth is coming out about the corrupt, brutal and shambolic dictatorship of the Jew Zelensky and his cabal.
Soon, the Kiev regime’s front lines will crumble, and the Russian forces will be able to roll across the eastern part of Ukraine, i.e. the lands east of the Dnieper. Once Kharkov falls, or is bypassed, there will be nothing to stop Russian forces from occupying those huge areas indefinitely.

One side-effect of the continuing Israeli crimes (whether they be officially labelled “war crimes” or not) is that the —in any case, steadily weakening— effect of the Jewish/Israeli “holocaust” propaganda re. the early 1940s is yet further diluted, if you like.

I feel very sorry for the Palestinian Arabs, suffering as they are under the yoke of the Israeli Jews, but I would not want many or even any to come to the UK.
For one thing, many of them, quite understandably, blame the UK and maybe its people for allowing the UK to do the bidding of the Jewish/Zionist/Israel lobby, sending military aid etc to Israel, and so on; there may be a degree of hostility.
Secondly, if large numbers, perhaps the more active of the Palestinian Arabs, come to the UK, the resistance to Israel in Israel/Palestine itself will be weakened.
Thirdly, of course, I oppose the migration-invasion in general.

Mirabile dictu! For once, I agree with “Judge” Rinder (TV show “judge” character).
Do I understand from that clip that Andrew Pierce, that little puppet of finance-capitalist propaganda posing as analysis, actually had the gall to try to argue the point?
The water companies should be taken into national ownership forthwith, and with little if any compensation paid to the mostly foreign shareholders.

Implicit in much of the media coverage of Robert Fico –in the BBC, the Guardian, the FT– is that he somehow deserved to get shot because he happens to hold views they disagree with. It's disgusting.
That tendency has been around for a long time in the UK, but more pointedly since small upsurges of British national politics started to be listened to by a significant minority.

āWhy is [the Jewish lobby] so much more powerful than people with disabilities?ā
— Campaign Against Antisemitism (@antisemitism) May 16, 2024
…”and answer came there none“…
I myself could attempt an answer but, as many will know, the small but (inevitably) well-funded “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] managed to have me put on trial late last year —November 2023— after some 7 years of malicious and lying complaints by them, including the very weird ex-MP, now “Lord”, Ian Austin, writing directly to the Director of Public Prosecutions about me).
The Hampshire Constabulary and “Clown” Prosecution Service eventually caved in to the whining demands of the Jewish/Zionist/Israel lobby.
Representing myself, I very nearly got off at half-time on the equivalent of “no case to answer”, but was convicted in the end of having published 5 blog posts containing material deemed to have been “grossly offensive” under Communications Act 2003, s.127, a piece of law so badly flawed that the Law Commission has recommended its repeal.
The case hinged upon 5 blog posts out of about 1,800 published since late 2016, and out of about 1,000 published in the 3 years prior to charge (3 years being the “backstop” time limitation).
The CPS and police wasted hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours of their supposedly precious time “trawling” (as the woman in charge of the CPS office in question put it) through thousands of pages of material.
The result was that, despite the “Clown” Prosecution Service and its outside Counsel having tried to make this pitiful little matter into a “State Trial” (in the historical sense), the sentence of the learned District Judge in question was that I undertake 15 “rehabilitation days” (mostly, in fact, quite short meetings) with the Probation Service (and spread over the nine months of March-December 2024), and pay notional costs totalling Ā£734.
I missed a trick in that I perhaps could have asked for a reduction in costs based on the fact that the CPS asked for an adjournment of a week so that their Counsel could apply for a Criminal Behaviour Order against me, which he did. The very experienced District Judge (a former Deputy Chief Metropolitan Magistrate) however refused that Application and preferred my argument; indeed, he anticipated much of it.
I was tired, unsurprisingly, and failed to ask for the costs of the unnecessary extra (part-) day in court.
Never mind. All comes to he who waits…
So, reverting to that question about the Jewish lobby on the radio, I prefer not to make the fairly obvious answer as to why all those political candidates (not sure for what election; maybe the Manchester mayoral election; maybe not) turned out for the Jewish lobby, but not for the elderly, disabled and poor English people. I think that my blog readers will guess aright.
Incidentally, I am still paying off that £734 costs order by instalments. If anyone would care to help by donating a few pounds and/or sharing the link, I should be most grateful: https://www.givesendgo.com/GC14J.
Finally, I had until today never heard of Eddie Nestor MBE. Sounds like an honest fellow, anyway: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Nestor. The West Indians often seem more alert than echt-English people in respect of “this question”.
If only more people on radio and TV (especially white English people) were willing to stand up —even a little— to “that” special-interest lobby in the honest way that the said Nestor has done.
More about the legal case Wilson v. Mendelsohn, Newbon, and Cantor [for more, see previous blog posts]
The Defendants did win some aspects of the litigation, but given the offers made pre-trial, theyād have had to win on almost everything to avoid paying my costs.
“Here we go. One of the Defendants has told me this:
āHe [Mark Lewis of Patron Law] also told me that there was no way I could lose any money as I would win at least one of the claims and the costs would be so substantial to you that it would end up in credit to my side.
This advice began to change dramatically after the result came in. When I said that I won two of the four, he responded with a very different picture.ā
I do not know if this is true. But, if it is true, then: (a) it is terrible advice; and (b) it suggests Lewis continued to provide advice to this Defendant after identifying a conflict in May 2023. If true, it is scandalous conduct. @MLewisLawyer @sra_solicitors.”
The Defendants did win some aspects of the litigation, but given the offers made pre-trial, theyād have had to win on almost everything to avoid paying my costs.
We are supposedly a civilized society under law. That means that, unlike in the Old Wild West, Mark Lewis (and/or his pack of colleagues) cannot be tarred and feathered, and then run out of town on a rail (or rails), but what can be done is for the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority to take action resulting in Lewis’s removal from the solicitors’ roll.
Incidentally, Lewis is a longstanding “Patron” and co-conspirator with the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”.
Lewis has been acting both dishonestly and fraudulently for many years. Time to boot him out and back to Eilat (Israel) where he apparently now has his domicile.

I also liked the several comments by old soldiers now wishing that they had fought for Hitler.

As said, both dishonest and incompetent, in the case of Lewis. As to Daniel Berke, I have no idea of how competent or incompetent he is in the civil law field (I read that he is a criminal solicitor), but on the face of the above, he seems as incompetent as Lewis.
Perhaps MentalZone and Cantor could sue Berke and Lewis for their court fees?

As I opined some time ago, there seems to have been professional negligence on the part of Lewis, and that may now apply to Berke as well.
Incidentally, Berke also opines about “antisemitism” being connected to “mental illness”:
Seems that Berke’s knowledge of both “antisemitism” and mental illness is as sketchy as his knowledge of civil procedure seems to be. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/07/18/theyre-coming-to-take-me-away-ha-ha/ [updated consistently], in which I examined the incontrovertible links between Jew-Zionism, Jewish “antifascism”, and mental illness.
Itās been reported that pubs showing Eurovision have been issued threats by activists.

Yet anywhere hosting anti-Zionists, whether political (London Forum, Patriotic Alternative, Keep Talking etc), entertainers (Alison Chabloz, Gilad Atzmon), metaphysical speakers (eg David Icke) or whatever, will be “hounded” by packs of Jews such as the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], “Hope not Hate” (“HnH”] and others.
When will the Daily Mail (etc) cover that story? Never…
Fair enough, but Neil is completely at one with Israel and the Jew-Zionist lobby, and the Jewish element has been the driving force behind the attack on freedom of expression throughout the Western world: so-called “race relations” and “anti-hate” laws (designed to shut down socio-political debate), “holocaust” “denial” laws (designed to make aspects of modern history off-limits to both non-Jewish historians and members of the public) etc.
Incidentally, should anyone wish to help defray the costs of my own recent free speech trial, the crowdfunder is still open: https://www.givesendgo.com/GC14J.
Iāve never watched nor voted in Eurovision Song Contest. Always regarded it as something of a European musical embarrassment. But that changes tonight when I will tune in to vote for the young Israeli. I hope she wins. https://t.co/POk74C1ZCU

Like Andrew Neil (pre-2024), I have never watched Eurovision and (unlike Neil) do not intend to change my habit today. I have no interest at all in the Israeli contestant, positive or negative, or in any of the other howling freaks and noisemakers taking part.

[The Guardian]
As I predicted on the blog recently. Not only are even the maximum numbers, as planned, pathetic compared to the numbers actually entering the UK (even “illegally”) but there is no guarantee that Rwanda government policy will not change, or the government be replaced by one unwilling to continue the agreement.
In any case, once Labour replaces the Conservative Party as UK Government, sometime within the next 8 months, the Rwanda idea will end up where it always was going to end up— in the dustbin.

Where Goodwin goes wrong is in assuming that the Rwanda “plan” is workable, whereas, even if, on its premises, it were to work perfectly, and so be the means of deporting all “illegal” migrant-invaders, it would not touch those “processed” and then allowed to stay, and they are the vast majority of the illegals processed at present.
Neither would the Rwanda plan touch the “legal” immigrants (and they are 20x the number of the “illegals”), meaning that the net result of the Rwanda “plan”, even if it were to work perfectly, would be that about 1% of all immigrants arriving at present might be deported.
The puzzle is, not so much that the Rwanda “plan” is being pushed by the present doomed government party, but that Matt Goodwin is also pushing it, and Farage, and Reform UK. Some kind of “controlled opposition” scam, yet again, as seen with both UKIP and Brexit Party, the idea being to forestall any real potential social-national upsurge.

“After stopping a mugger and protecting his girlfriend, a Marine reflected on his actions and decided the criminal deserved an apology.
To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last. Date: 2010-09-27, 1:43 am. E.S.T.
I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriendās purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message.
First, Iād like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didnāt expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason.. my girlfriend was happy that I just returned safely from my 2nd tour as a Combat Marine in Afghanistan ..
She had just bought me that Kimber Custom Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ⦠isnāt it?!
I know it probably wasnāt fun walking back to wherever youād come from with crap in your pants. Iām sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again].
After I called your mother or āMommaā as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what youād done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, ā on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 153 gallons and was extremely grateful!
I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Goās, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink āpimp mobileā that was parked at the curb ā¦.. after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driverās side of the car.
Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DAās office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.).
In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you ⦠but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path youāve chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day!
Thoughtfully yours, Semper Fi...”

Smug Jewish woman living in South-East England blames the victim of Israeli-Jewish state terrorism for the said Palestinian civilian victim having been made homeless.
According to the Jewish woman, Israel cannot be blamed. After all, all it has done is use advanced weaponry such as missiles to destroy the homes of about a million people, and kill tens of thousands, mostly women and children.
Why should Jews in Israel (or those in the UK who support the Gaza “operation”) be blamed for that? Puzzling, nicht wahr?
Naturally, the Palestinian Arab civilians are themselves to blame if Israeli forces have killed or wounded them, and/or destroyed their homes…to say anything else would probably be called “antisemitic“…
MiningWatch Canada is estimating that ā[Three] billion tons of mined metals and minerals will be needed to power the energy transitionā ā a āmassiveā increase especially for six critical minerals: lithium, graphite, copper, cobalt, nickel and rare earth minerals
Mining requires the extraction of solid ores, often after removing vast amounts of overlying rock. Then the ore must be processed, creating an enormous quantity of waste ā about 100 billion tonnes a year, more than any other human-made waste stream.
18,740 pounds of purified rock to produce 2.2 pounds of vanadium 35,275 pounds of ore for 2.2 pounds of cerium 110,230 pounds of rock for 2.2 pounds of gallium 2,645,550 pounds of ore to get 2.2 pounds of lutecium Also staggering amounts of ore are needed for other metals.
The potential demand for rare metals is exponential. We are already consuming over two billion tonnes of metals every year ā the equivalent of more than 500 Eiffel Towers a day.
As rare metals have become ubiquitous in green and digital technologies, the exceedingly toxic sludge they produce has been contaminating water, soil, the atmosphere, and the flames of blast furnaces.
I have seen the destruction of mountains, lakes and pristine waterways all in the name of #GreenEnergy. A recent report by the Blacksmith Institute identifies the mining industry as the second-most-polluting industry in the world. Soon to be Number # 1 Why? Green energy.
Wind turbines guzzle more raw materials than previous technologies: āFor an equivalent installed capacity, solar and wind facilities require up to 15 times more concrete, 90 times more aluminum, and 50 times more iron, copper, and glass than fossil fuels or nuclear energy.
If youāve gotten this far still believing that renewables are clean and green, well, I have a bridge to sell you. We thought we could free ourselves from the shortages, tensions, and crises created by our appetite for oil and coal.

People are totally sick and tired of the “Conservative” Party, and cannot wait to stamp on it. Labour has very little real support, but is preferred by default. The expected near wipeout of the Conservative Party will happen (I believe), but once it has happened, the same problems will confront this country, and Labour, under Jewish/Israel puppet Starmer, has no answers.
At present it looks as though Starmer-Labour will continue to give unbridled support to the Israeli state and the UK Jewish lobby, continue to support the Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev, and fail to stop the migration-invasion (but will simply rubberstamp “applications” so the invasion does not continue to make the news broadcasts or the front pages of the popular Press).
The expected Labour “elected” dictatorship will also crack down even more on free speech in the UK.

“Kyiv’s indifference to dead soldiers undermines the morale of Ukrainians The number of dead Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers is so great that their remains cannot be identified.
n February, Zelensky announced Ukrainian Armed Forces losses of 31,000 people, but US estimates put the number much higher, with about 70,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed by August last year.
Many of those listed as missing were captured by Russian troops. However, most died and have not yet been identified. This hits the already undermined morale of Ukraine, according to the West.
Discontent among the civilian population is growing. Last October, a major protest took place in Kyiv. Relatives of soldiers demand answers from the authorities. Confirming a death is especially problematic when Ukrainian officials do not have a body, but even when they do, it can be a long and arduous process. DNA testing is patchy. Relatives are trying to get around the bureaucracy. They go from morgue to morgue, sometimes with the help of volunteers, examining bodies and trying to identify them first from photographs and then asking relevant family members for genetic samples. And even if they have proof of death, they face a trial and wait for a decision of two to six months. The authorities are delaying the process. After all, if the fact of death is established, they have to pay the family of the deceased 15 million hryvnia, or about $386,000 in installments, writes the New York Times.“

Yes. One frequently sees Jews on Twitter etc [pretending to be] upset that “their family” died, or were displaced, or inconvenienced, during the early 1940s; people that those descended from them and alive today never knew, of course.
British or German people just do not weaponize (or, indeed, monetize via books, films, “reparations”, and “restitution”) their family histories in that way.
My own maternal grandfather [b.1901] was at Dunkirk in 1940, and later in Burma. My maternal grandmother [b.1900] lost two brothers in the First World War (both, I believe, captains of the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry).
British (and German) people accept such events as historical, and do not constantly try to use them as tags on which to hang contemporary socio-political issues.

This post by Andrew Neil yesterday spells out the cost and reward of failure. Its a scandal!
Holyrood serves no purpose other than to fill the trough for politicians, who otherwise would not survive in the real world of work.
Only 14% of the Welsh support the use of gender quotas when selecting political candidates. Again, woke ideas are nowhere near as popular as elites think (YouGov).
Strange minor incident. Taking a nap this afternoon, after having had a very early start today, I was awoken by a knock at the door of our tiny flat (the days of country houses and Caribbean villas being now long gone). I heard my wife agreeing to donate to the county’s air ambulance charity.
I was rather suspicious about the man at the door wanting bank details “to set up a direct debit“, so intervened and told the fellow that we would give another way. He left with superficial politeness; I could see that he was unhappy at being challenged (though I am not particularly aggressive).
I was concerned, so thought to call the police on their 101 non-emergency service. It then took something like 20 minutes to get beyond the recorded messages and just to get to talk to a human being (a pleasant-sounding lady) from the police and give her the details.
I also tried, twice, to telephone the air ambulance charity people themselves but, after an initial recorded message, was informed “your call cannot be transferred” and an unobtainable signal.
I looked up what the CEO of that charity gets paid: about £119,000 a year.
That small incident was typical of the way in which everything in this country is so screwed and just does not work. For a start, the air ambulance should be an official service, not a ragbag of private charities across the UK.
Secondly, it should be illegal for fundraisers to go around knocking on doors like itinerant gypsies. The public need to be protected.
Thirdly, how is it that the CEO of such a small charity (30 employees) gets a fairly generous salary? Yet their only public telephone number is non-operational. It’s poor.
There are too many boondoggles around, to use the American phrase. The “Major Tom” nonsense, with the quasi-fraudulent daughter and son-in-law, has surely brought that to public attention.
Fourthly, the police are almost absent when you need them. At the same time, the county police have apparently spent many many hours snooping upon and “monitoring” this blog, as they do the social media posts of others. The police need to get back to doing actual, real police work.
As a matter of fact, the Police and Crime Commissioner for the county will be elected this week. At present, it is some useless and enormous woman, a Conservative Party member.

If the Kiev regime imagines that a new army of forced and unwilling recruits will save the day, it is very much mistaken.
When the weather is warmer, and the Stavka gives the order, it is likely that the Russian armies in the east will start to roll, covered by massive artillery barrages and air cover. Any new forces recruited by the Kiev regime will simply be rolled over.

As to the renewed attack on disability benefits, desperate clutching at straws by a government trying to appeal to people who know nothing, read the Sun, Star etc, and who might be persuaded to vote Conservative as a result of all this kefuffle.
I doubt whether it will work. People in all sorts of conditions of life want rid of this government and its venal, ignorant MPs, and are just waiting for the opportunity to put their “X” in any box but the one marked “Conservative Party”.
This contrived storm around disability benefits is also designed to deflect attention from the renewed slaughter in Gaza.
While there is a section of the UK electorate easily fooled by rhetoric against State benefits generally, those voters are mainly those already intending to vote Con at GE 2024; probably already within the Con “core vote” bloc which is about 20% of the entire electorate. That 20% can probably be characterized broadly as “over 65, retired, owner-occupiers, living in Southern England”.
Using the Electoral Calculus website, the most recent opinion polling indicates that, after GE 2024, the number of Con Party MPs might well be below 50. This contrived storm is a desperate attempt to seize back the initiative; I doubt that it will work.
Disabled people have already got the rough end of the stick when it comes to day-to-day living

“Ay, there’s the rub“… “Labour”-label is no real alternative, just a different set of freeloading, “Friends of Israel” puppets.
Mel Stride is the latest in a long line of smug, entitled yet completely ignorant MPs pronouncing on such questions.
A few tweets, or a blog post, will not wipe the smug and self-satisfied smile off the mug of a creature of his sort, and the state of free speech is such that I cannot really say what might.
I happened to see an old Peter Cushing/Christopher Lee vampire film yesterday. When it comes to most MPs, certainly most MPs on the “Conservative” benches, my feeling is similar to that of Peter Cushing and others “driving the point home” in such a film…
I myself do not receive any disability benefits, but understand the issues. How is it that a Cabinet minister with specific responsibility for those issues seems to be so lacking, both in knowledge of them, and in both reason and compassion?
Huge numbers of people (in my opinion, far greater than the number who favour Labour-label) want to stamp on and wipe out the “Conservative” Party. I am one of them.

I believe that military people refer to such methods (boobytrapping cans of food etc with explosives or poison) as “technical attack”.
When dealing with such as the IRA in the 1970s, or the ZANLA terrorists in the Rhodesia of the same period, it might have been justified (in rural areas where arms dumps or support stores were found), but surely not when applied as a form of terrorism on an urbanized civilian population.
Weāve spent months warning that Israel is bombing areas it told Palestinians were āsafe.ā Unfortunately, it takes an investigation by mainstream US outlets to legitimize the truth.
The coming months/years will see countless investigations that confirm what weāve known all along. pic.twitter.com/bj745b42pH
I have seen the usual Jew-Zionist lawyers arguing narrow legalistic points about whether what the Israeli Jews are doing in Palestine and particularly in Gaza is “genocide” or not. The reality is that this is at least a quasi-genocide. If it falls slightly short of a fully-delineated, legally-rubberstamped “genocide”, that is really only of academic interest.
Incidentally, Jews wanted to destroy the German people in the 1940s. That was why the atomic scientists, almost all of whom were Jews, developed the first atom bomb. They did so despite there having been a small theoretical possibility that the first full test would set alight Earth’s atmosphere and destroy all life on Earth.
The atom bombs were designed to be dropped on Berlin and other German cities, not Japanese ones. Those working on them were willing to accept that much of Central Europe might be devastated and irradiated.
Ironically, the terrible and devastating defeat of the German Reich in the Spring of 1945 saved Germany and much of Central Europe generally from atomic devastation.
Yes, he did. I once knew a woman in the private security industry, and she told me (about 5 years after the event) that people directly involved in the case had told her that Madeley certainly did it. Hearsay twice over, admittedly, but plausible all the same.
(I should add that, actually, Madeley never denied having taken the Champagne; he denied that he had any dishonest intent).
There are many cases where a famous person, famous as an individual or because a member of a famous family, has been acquitted in circumstances where a not-famous person would have been convicted. One, remembered from my time in the USA was this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Kennedy_Smith. Guilty, in my opinion. but acquitted.

[“that which the Israelis are doing is ethnic cleansing”]
Anyone who supports Israeli war crimes, or the Jewish-Zionist lobby in the West, should be ashamed. That especially applies to those in official positions at all levels.

“So we are now in a different situation. We’re looking at Ukraine. Russia, in the last two and a half years has built up an enormously powerful and successful force. This is battle hardened, well-equipped, well-led, well-trained, highly disciplined.
The Ukrainian force has been annihilated. They’ve lost over 600,000 dead on the battlefield. There’s nothing left. The place is falling apart. And most of the money you were talking about will never get there. It’s simply sent through the washing machine over to defense and then to the defense industries, and then the donations flow back to the hill. So it doesn’t, you know, it’s not a question that we’re sending 60 billion and putting it into Zelensky’s hands now.
Now Zelensky and his friends will profit, no doubt about it. Let’s not kid ourselves. They’ll get some of it. How much? Who knows? I mean, this is the most corrupt country in the world. This is a country that has missing children, probably at this point in the hundreds of thousands. Prostitution, out of control. I mean, you’re talking about criminality on a scale that we in the west can’t even begin to imagine. It’s a tragedy. It’s the worst of all possible outcomes. The Ukrainian nation has been destroyed. Why? Because it’s mortgaged to our vanity.
In the west, Russia must be taught a lesson. Russia must be destroyed. Putin must be removed. Really? Why? Well, because we’ve decided that we want to strip Russia of its resources. So we turned Ukraine into a battering ram designed to stab Russia in the heart. The Russians woke up, not completely, but at the last minute, and decided, well, we probably should intervene here and stop what’s happening and signal just how serious this is, in our estimation. So they did, and they found out it’s much worse than we thought.
The force is much larger, much better trained. It has much more equipment. This is a far more serious problem. And as a result, they had to step back, establish a defense, build up their forces, and now they’re moving, and they’re going to finish the job.
Finish the job means everything from Odessa up to Kharkov is back in Russian hands. And those areas are originally Russian anyway, as has been pointed out. Your question is, what happens to the rest of the country that is west of the Dnieper River, this rump, Ukraine, and I think it’s going to become a giant demilitarized zone, a DMZ, similar to what we have between north and South Korea. There will be nothing there. There won’t be any fighting forces of any kind. And the Ukrainians can live there. And they may have some form of administration, but they’re not going to be permitted to ever again present a direct threat to Russia.
You pointed to the CIA stations and laboratories inside Ukraine. The Russians have overrun those. They know what’s there. They know what we’ve been trying to do. They know that we’ve been experimenting biologically with various weapons that could be used against them. This is insanity. And it was never necessary.
No one in the United States supported that. No one in the United States was consulted. So what do they do? They lie. They create a narrative. Russia is a revanchist nation. Russia is the Soviet Union reborn. We must stop it and defend democracy. That’s all crap. That’s nothing to do with any of it. And of course, Kiev is not a democratic state. Zelensky is not a democratic leader. He makes Stalin look good. So he’s going to go out of business. He’s going to vanish here over the next 30 to 60 days.
Whether he succumbs to whatever the Ukrainians decide to do with him on the ground, I don’t know. I’m sure that his foreign mercenaries that are surrounding him, special ops types from the United States and Britain and other countries, will do everything they can to keep him alive. But at some point, even they may abandon him. But the narrative persists because the media is an arm of the government.
This is very similar to what Noam Chomsky wrote about during Vietnam. Manufactured consent creates the illusion that this is something we all want. No, we didn’t want it. We didn’t ask anybody to open the borders. We did not ask for millions of people that we don’t know and know nothing about to come into the United States. And what do we do with millions of people who can’t find work? Especially if we go into the serious financial crisis that every sane person on the planet is predicting is coming.
What else can we say? I wish I could paint a positive picture.“
[Colonel Douglas MacGregor].
I agree with most of that. The Colonel has repeated pretty much what I have said on the blog, for 2 years, should happen.
