To my mind, assuming we avoid nuclear war etc, the result of the next UK general election will be something like Reform UK 30%, Labour 25%, Con 18%, LibDems maybe 12%, Greens maybe 8%.
That would in turn result in Reform UK having 319 Commons seats (Lab 157, LibDem 60, Con 50, Greens 4 etc).

I was at a BBQ with friends last night, everyone there said they’ll vote for Reform. In the past, they’ve voted for diff parties. No one trusts Labour not to hike taxes to an unacceptable level and ex Tory voters feel let down.

I myself still think that <50 is a possibility for the Cons. I concede that the many experts and specialists are against me, but my reasons are as previously blogged:
the fact that few 2019 and earlier Con voters now think of the Con Party and Government as anything other than completely useless;
that there are many (or are there?) “secret” Reform UK intending or possible voters; and
that there are many voters who will vote tactically to sink the Cons, even if many of the same voters hate, despise or fear Starmer-Labour.
A point or so fewer for the Cons, a point extra for Labour, a point extra for the LibDems, and a point or so more for Reform UK, and the Con cadre of MPs would reduce to only 30.

But, once again, the neighbours who live downstairs, below my flat, have decided to have another all-night party. And unlike me, they don’t have to wake up for work.
Because, unlike me, they don’t have to work.
They qualify for social housing; their rent is subsidised by the large and rising amount of council tax I am forced to pay each month —on top of ruinous income taxes, national insurance contributions and student loan repayments.
The majority of the tenants in my housing block are unemployed; I see few of them leaving the house for work in the morning.
My interactions with them are limited to hostile glaring mixed in with the occasional attempted mugging. On the rare occasion I have female company I have to escort my dates to and from the bus stop to stop them being sexually harassed.
What scraps of my salary the State allows me to keep are eaten up immediately by rent. I pay almost half my post-tax income to live on an ex-council estate in Zone 3, London, with the smell of weed continually hanging in the air.
Unless I achieve an income of more than £200,000 it will simply be impossible to secure a mortgage on a house the same size as the one my parents bought in 1989.
My friends work in high-powered finance and legal careers but, like me, struggle on with flatshares well into their late 20s, if not their early 30s.
They are spending the best decade of their life working until midnight seven days a week for the chance to attain the same middle-class lifestyle their parents achieved much earlier in life.
The reward for being wildly successful financially in 2024? To live in a semi-detached house that was built for unskilled professionals in inner London a century ago.
And that’s not all …
If I decide to have children, which you might think ought to be encouraged given the demographic crisis facing Western nations like Britain, I will have to contend with extortionate childcare costs, or deprive my household of a second income.
Renting a three-bedroom flat in a safe part of London will cost in excess of £3,000 a month; my children will have to grow up in far more cramped conditions than I did, most likely having to share a room and perhaps dodging stray bullets.
The only feasible route out of this incredibly depressing situation is to leave the city I grew up in and commute two hours both ways from a town I have no local connection to —where I have no friends or family living nearby.
Even with cheaper housing, I will still have to send my kids to local schools where they will be bombarded with relentless propaganda about how to ‘change their gender’, acknowledge their ‘whiteness’, and apologise for the British Empire.
It is certainly true that previous generations of young people faced more challenging circumstances. I am not (yet) being asked to walk across No Mans Land and into a sea of barbed wire and machine guns.
But it is one thing being asked to suffer for a cause like liberty in Europe, or to grimace through destitution because of seemingly uncontrollable events like the Wall Street Crash. It is quite another to be economically enslaved to the point of infertility to sustain a growing population of resentful dependents.
And I am one of the lucky ones...”

This afternoon, for reasons too trivial and unnecessary to mention, I drove through a fairly unspoiled and rare part of the South of England. Mostly on unclassified roads, and mostly through a great estate.
The beneficial effects of careful estate management were evident: beautifully trimmed hedgerows, and massive trees which must have been centuries-old, and lining the roads devoid of traffic (I saw scarcely another vehicle). The only hazard on those roads consisted of silly young pheasant, too silly to get out of the way, though I managed to avoid hitting any.

It seems that she will now be released having served half her headline 18-week sentence, but minus the 4 days and part-days that she served in 2020 prior to her successful appeal.
The firm expectation now is that Alison will be released from prison on Friday 28 May 2021 (i.e. the day after tomorrow).

What has been so extraordinary about the “resistible rise” of Cummings is that (ref. my blog posts about him) he actually has no track record of measurable achievement at all. Left university with a so-so degree, somehow got into Russian business (but nothing solid), tried to set up an airline in the 1990s using bits of decrepit Soviet property (the airline made one flight only). Then Cummings gets a job with the Conservative Party and somehow acquires a reputation for maverick brilliance. A mirage. I always believe in the Biblical injunction to “judge the tree by its fruits”. I judge an ideology by its effects and by the behaviour of its adherents. I judge a government by its acts, omissions and achievements. Look at the chaos of the present government, in every way!

I agree with that, but it has to be confined to bona fide and truly British citizens as recipients to be sustainable.

“British” Christmas TV ads
I see growing discontent at the race-mixing propaganda posing as “just ordinary TV ads”. Christmas ads are just part of it. According to latest statistics, about 80% of the UK population still identify as “White British” and actual “blacks” (not including recent mixed-race) are supposedly “only” somewhere around 3%. Yet almost every TV ad now contains mainly blacks, or a mixed couple and “their” mixed-race children.
Sacked temporary teacher, serial grifter, “antifa” cheerleader (from a safe distance) and would-be (self-describing) “historian” and “journalist” Mike Stuchbery supports the propaganda:

This is not mere happenstance. It is a deliberate and planned campaign. I have blogged about it in the past and it is getting worse. Google “Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan” for more. Alternatively, “the Great Replacement” and/or “White Genocide”.
I wondered whether the police would at some point take an interest in the GoFundMe appeal set up for Stuchbery by his associate “@antifashwitch”, Roanna Carleton Taylor of Derbyshire (it gathered in nearly £12,000 from gullible people who wanted Stuchbery to sue Tommy Robinson using it, but there never was a case brought). I now see that the Twitter tweets, going back years, of both “@antifashwitch” and her misnamed organization “@Resisting_Hate_”, have almost all been deleted.
I have no idea whether the two facts are connected, or whether she has been trying to delete potential evidence of fraud, but it has caught my attention today.
I believe that “antifashwitch” has a rather “dodgy” background generally. Her personal connections have, if the Internet is to be believed, been investigated by the police in the past, and not just for political matters.
Incidentally, the Pakistani named in the GoFundMe appeal is or was, supposedly, the solicitor (a one-man-band “firm”) who was going to act for Stuchbery. All very odd.

Quite. As for the UK, the rural/suburban area of coastal Southern England where I live has 180,000 inhabitants within the District Council area. In the last week, 3 (three) deaths “from” (or “with“?) “the virus” have been notified. One death for every 60,000 people! Statistical zero. Yet for this, the population has been forced to comply with the facemask nonsense, shops and pubs and restaurants (a large part of the local economy) have been shut, and any medical services from GPs are telephone-consultation only.
Was that connected with “antifashwitch” too? I have no idea.
Non-white Christmas TV ads
Further to my comments earlier in today’s blog, I received this comment from a reader:
“I’ve noticed that the race mixing Christmas ads don’t mind showing an idealised England via small rural villages complete with a church in the centre, the catch is they don’t allow us to see a white family living there, it has to be mixed.
The problem is though, who do these multinationals think this nostalgia and yearning for an older England actually caters to? Is it the Indian wife in the ad? or the inevitable black husband of the white woman in another ad?
On the one hand they pander to the cultural identity of an ethnic group, while at the same time endorsing the erasure of that ethnic group via the mixing in the ads.

Well said, Blog Reader…If it were the other way around, it would be called “cultural appropriation” and so “wrong” (because white European people are always wrong…). Such TV ads (propaganda masquerading as ads…) are much more an “appropriation” (if not an expropriation!) than, say, The Black and White Minstrel Show etc, who were copying a longstanding American and European tradition of “blacking up”.
When are the hard-left and hard-right going to realise it isn't the number of people at your rallies that matter, but the number of people who actually vote for you.

Hilarious. Johnson is the worst PM ever. Nothing is ever going to change that. He is, as a person, a hollow cardboard charlatan and should make room for an adult.
