Heard (admittedly at third-hand) a very disturbing story. It concerns a man who was driving home from or through Southampton. He apparently decided to stop the car for a while to take a few minutes’ rest. Why he stopped, I do not know; I myself never stop the car even on a cross-Europe journey (in the past; I never go anywhere now), let alone in the UK. In fact, sometimes I should stop and take a rest rather than drive on relentlessly into the night and snow (or whatever).
So this man (apparently in late fifties or early sixties) was sitting quietly in his parked car when, suddenly, several police cars appeared and boxed him in and, without warning, his door was yanked open and he himself pulled out despite his protesting that he had done nothing, and what had he done etc.
The police then proceeded to throw him roughly to the ground, treat him roughly, and handcuff him behind his back before he was bundled away to the police station. He and his car had already been searched for drugs, without result.
Later, he was released without charge, the police having tested him for drink and drugs (without result) and having explained that the area where he was arrested was known for drug-dealing! Why he particularly was targeted is unknown. Apparently, the man has bruises all over his body, which bruises were photographed. The matter is now in the hands of solicitors and, on the face of it, it looks as if the police are going to end up having to pay him out a goodly sum.
As I say, I have the above “facts” at third hand, via someone I know who was told by a great friend of the victim, that other person being a retired detective of the Metropolitan Police.
Britain is becoming very strange indeed. The police seem to scarcely enforce some laws, or merely record the fact that some crimes have taken place (and have been reported by victims), and often stand by when “protesters” such as “Insulate Britain”, or “Black Lives Matter” block motorways, create chaos in Central London, tear down statues, or vandalize artworks of which they disapprove.
Also, the national scandal of sexual abuse of English girls by non-whites has only been properly investigated sometimes or, in places, often not investigated at all.

The underlying problem here is that, in the early 1940s, Winston Churchill’s misguided government basically threw away the Empire as it existed in the Caribbean. The fact is that large numbers were infected by “the virus” in hospital. Instead of encouraging North Korea-lite “clapathons”, the Government, Opposition (such as it is) and msm should have been looking at why many UK hospitals are basically filthy.
The main problem with the hospital side of the NHS is that the administration is terrible. No proper leadership, no efficient administration, no accountability. That leads to general sloppiness. The old “Matron” is long gone, and should probably be reinstated, as should proper cleaning regimes (i.e. not some poorly-paid and probably useless immigrant broom-pusher from an outsourcing company).
It is always dangerous to criticize a sentence handed down by a judge, when one has not heard the evidence given in court, has not noted the demeanour of the defendant, and when a newspaper report is, as most are, incomplete (and in some cases, not entirely accurate in what is reported).
Having said that, I find the above case troubling for reasons that go beyond the facts of the case itself.
The defendant had, years before, been convicted of possession of a knife in public, as the newspaper notes, “…among his previous convictions“.
There is more here than meets the eye. Why did someone stab the defendant in the back earlier the same evening?
In some parts of the country, London in particular, such events are now far more frequent than they once were, a consequence in part of decades of black-brown mass immigration.
However, New Milton, a fairly quiet corner of Hampshire, is not accustomed to such activity. The age demographic is high, and that little town is really rather dead in the evening. I know it and, at one time, in years past, used the station quite often, not infrequently arriving late in the evening from London Waterloo.
The first stabbing was obviously not random. There are unexplained currents in the case. Also, one would expect a defendant in such a case to be rather young, perhaps a teenager, not 31. I am also puzzled at the apparent fact that the defendant himself had been stabbed, in the back, yet was (as far as can be gleaned) uninjured. Also, if a third party had been convicted re. that backstabbing or surrounding events, why only of possession and not, e.g., GBH with intent?
As to the instant case, I should say that the defendant was lucky in his judge, and it looks as though his defence Counsel did well. The sentence (even taking into account unpaid work, and a financial penalty etc) was surely merciful.
I am uneasy, however, that someone who, not in self-defence (the defendant having returned home and then slightly later revisited the railway station with a knife) stabbed the uninvolved victim (who merely looked like the earlier backstabber), that victim only avoiding serious injury and possible death by the lucky chance of wearing thick motorcycle clothing.
Another question: the defendant was stabbed in the back, yet chose not to alert the police. Why not? They would surely have attended quite swiftly in such a situation. As said, there seem to be hidden aspects here.
My overall question, though, is what on Earth is happening in the UK? Persons being stabbed in quiet parts of Southern England. Almost unheard of 50 or 60 years ago. One cannot even put it down, in this case, to the dreadful effects of non-white immigration. The part of England in the report is still largely English.

I often think back to the situation in Eastern Europe in the 1980s. I was there a few times in the late 1980s, and travelled there and back by both car and plane; Poland, Czechoslovakia, DDR (East Germany), spending over 90% of that time in Poland. I also had contact with Soviet matters in the 1980s, though did not visit Moscow until later (1993, and then in 2007).

Farthing did not “abandon” his Afghan staff. They were not allowed into the airport area. That was the decision either of the US Army, or of the Taliban. Yes, Farthing could have stayed in Kabul. That would have meant suffering and death for those 200 animals, possibly for him too, possibly for the Afghan staff of the charity (and yes, they are still in that same peril, but no worse peril because of his departure).

When the CPS declined to show the appeal judge [H.H. She was in prison for 3-4 days, after having been sentenced by a magistrate).

The present situation in Afghanistan is the “fault” of a number of parties or players: the backward Afghans themselves, the now-long-gone Soviet Union (for the 1979 invasion), the USA (for arming the Islamists, and for later invading Afghanistan along with NATO satraps —notably the UK—.
While I do not favour the importation of large numbers of Afghans (or any other brown/black people) to the UK, for me it is simply a matter of honour and gratitude to extract the relative few who worked openly with UK forces as interpreters, along with their immediate families. To abandon them to the “mercy” of the Islamists would be, for me, not a decent option.

It may be worth looking again at the Ekranoplan. Same goes for Zeppelins (lighter-than-air craft) and other “discarded” technological manifestations. The hovercraft was at first dismissed as a cranky idea; the inventor, Cockerell, received scant thanks or honour in his lifetime (though the UK government did eventually grant him a special payment).
Readers of the blog in recent days will have noted that the appeal of Alison Chabloz, from her magistrates’ court conviction and sentence of early 2021, failed on Friday. She was remanded, oddly, in custody, until sentencing (set down for tomorrow, Monday 16 August 2021).
I myself cannot see any proper reason why she was remanded in custody, despite the presiding judge saying that he was “minded” to increase the sentence handed down by the magistrates earlier in the year.
Alison has served about 9 weeks of an 18-week sentence, i.e. the usual proportion before having been released. If the sentence on Monday is custodial (there remains a small chance that it will not be), then the maximum would be 6 months, meaning that Alison would expect to be released halfway through, at 3 months.
Alison has now served over 2 months, has several days “credit” due her for time wrongfully served in 2020 (her appeal against that succeeded when the CPS declined to disclose the backstairs manipulations of the CAA fake charity and some political figures), and has now served another 3 days (inc. tomorrow). That being so, she should only have to “sit” (as the Russians say) for another 2-3 weeks, even if she is (ludicrous as that would be) given the maximum sentence of 6 months. That is assuming release halfway through the sentence.
Still, not very nice for Alison, who has only been convicted, this time, for expressing opinions on history and society, really. The UK is becoming a (gradually-expanding) police state.
If anyone wishes to support Alison at court tomorrow (Monday 16 August 2021), she is going to be produced in person for the sentence. I apprehend that several Jew-Zionists are intending to attend so that they can gloat. What more would one expect from such tasteless creatures?
The matter will come on “not before 1230” at Southwark Crown Court; presiding and sentencing judge: H.H. Judge Beddoe.
That does not mean that the matter will be heard at 1230. It might be 1230, it might be 1245. It might be later. Courts usually break for lunch at 1300 hrs until 1400 or even later (the High Court usually resumes at about 1430).
When I often appeared at the High Court, in the early/mid 1990s, matters were often set down “not before…”, often with a time estimate (anything from 5 minutes to several days).
So this matter might well only start after 1400 hrs. How long? Depends on what the judge wants to examine and what he wants to say.
The court is (quite short) walking distance from London Bridge, and slightly further (but still within easy walking distance) from London Bridge Underground.

Everything we now see on the international stage is connected to that: the “BLM” nonsense, the “panicdemic” measures and restrictions, much of the “climate change” stuff, the migration-invasion of Europe, the move to a “cashless” (totally-controlled) society. It’s all being co-ordinated.

As for “British Intelligence”, it (like much of Britain) has lived off its hump and its mostly undeserved reputation for a very very long time, and if it failed to notify its Whitehall and Downing Street customers in advance of the fall of the Shah of Iran, or of the Argentine invasion of the Falklands, or of the fall of the Soviet “empire” and the collapse of world socialism (and add to that the consequences of toppling Gaddafi), then it certainly is not surprising that its assessment of Taliban strength, order of battle, and of the general situation in Afghanistan was equally useless (it seems, looking from outside).
Possible today marks the end of something- or rather, Afghanistan catching up with something. The last decade saw the West lose all political will to conduct sustained interventionism. Hard to imagine in what circs West would intervene now. That moment feels as if it has passed.
“Intervention”, in order to create a new imperium in a given geopolitical space is one thing: Alexander, Rome, the British Empire, Germany seeking Lebensraum in 1939-42, the Soviet Union seeking Eastern/Central European hegemony after 1945; all of those had a strategy, a plan, and —crucially– “ideology”.
Then we have the US/”NATO” (NWO/ZOG) invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, and (attack on) Libya. No plan, no strategy, no idea of staying for the long-term and creating any new society, or colonizing those areas. Somewhere between pointless destruction and a geopolitical gesture.
Pathetic. The Western leaders of today are dwarfs in the geopolitical arena.

Reports from usually-reliable sources say that one of the two magistrates who usually flank the Circuit judge at such an appeal was discovered to be, or to have been, on the board of some “holocaust” “charity” concerned with the so-called Anne Frank “diary”! That magistrate was then removed from the appeal hearing.
I shall report the result when it has been declared, presumably tomorrow sometime.
