Britain needs a real Border Force, not the present Border Farce which actually ferries migrant invaders into the UK!

Of course, the old East German force called the Grenzpolizei (Border Police) had a dual role, as much aimed at keeping the working-age population of the DDR in as keeping smugglers, spies etc out…

I have to say that the Grenzpolizei, on the couple of occasions when I encountered them, were both amiable and alarmingly efficient, for example when I and my driver were processed through a small crossing-point (we were the only car, in fact the only vehicle travelling West, in an hour spent there). They (politely, efficiently) emptied the contents of the car (a Volvo estate or station-wagon), then partially dismantled the car, taking out, entirely, various parts, including the seats (they did put it all together again later).

While many who are hostile to Reform will be crowing because Plaid Cymru won that by-election, in big-picture terms the second place for Reform is far more significant.

Plaid only does well in a few places in Wales, and makes no pretence of being a UK-wide party. It has 4 MPs at Westminster (out of 32 Welsh seats), 2 peers (out of 828), and 14 Senedd members (out of 60).

Reform has just captured 36% of the votes at the Caerphilly by-election, more than impressive from a standing start and for a party basically perceived as English.

The main System parties have been trashed by the voters who bothered to vote (turnout was just over 50%): Labour, the previous holders of the seat, fell from 45.9% to a mere 11%. The Conservative party fell far too, from 17.3% to a mere 2%. Reform’s 35% this time can be compared to its previous result (2.2%, though some sources say 1.7%; no matter).

This has huge implications for both local and Westminster elections in England, of course.

Reform has achieved this level of support not because people love it, its policies, or its leader, Farage, but because people now hate and despise both main System parties. The SNP suddenly became pre-eminent in Scotland in 2015 not because many Scots loved or much-supported it, but because the Labour and other parties’ votes collapsed.

Think about it. Labour support overall is running at about 15%-25%, say 20% or thereabouts. Britain is now 20% non-white; Muslims are about 8% or maybe 10% of the population. Until recently, almost all voted Labour. Hardly any white English voters, in particular, now intend to vote Labour.

Dan Hodges trying to spin the Caerphilly result as not terribly good for Reform UK, despite their vote having increased from around 2% to 36%! Look at Labour— 11%. Or Conservative Party— 2%.

Another way to look on the Caerphilly result might be to say that, if Reform can get a 36% result in a core part of Wales, what will it be getting in much of England.

I have no quarrel with that, but Dan Hodges is trying to stem the tide with words.

It may well be that Reform cannot get more, overall, than 35% or even a few points below that (in that poll, 29%). What Hodges does not seem to want to say, though, is that a party which gets even 29% in a general election can very easily still be the party that gets a plurality of votes and a plurality of Commons seats, maybe even a majority of seats.

On the figures above, Reform would still get about 370 Commons seats, and a solid majority. Labour might get 89 seats, the LibDems 69, the SNP 45, Cons about 21, and Greens 18.

Conservative Party would be only the fifth-largest party in the Commons.

Yes, but the idea that voters who dislike Reform will vote tactically on a big enough scale to stop the Reform deluge is very doubtful. Dent the juggernaut, yes, stop it, no. Some of the results might be unpredictable.

If Hodges says that Caerphilly was bad for Farage and Reform, how much worse was it for Starmer and Labour, or Badenoch and the Con Party?

So without tactical anti-Reform voting, an overall 25% vote for Reform UK would give Reform 200+ votes, maybe 250. With tactical voting, Reform might get “only” 150-200…

The System drones are getting desperate. Even 150 MPs is massive for a party which presently has half a dozen. Also, from where does the “25%” come? Reform is currently far higher in the polls and was, recently, as high as 36%.

The fact is that the “Overton Window” is moving fast now. The Lab and Con System parties are dying. Reform, though underwhelming, is a symptom of the (mainly) white, mainly English voters losing patience.

If Reform forms a government but then fails to do “the necessary”, real social nationalism can take the reins, with the support of enough people to take power. The NSDAP in Germany had only 2.6% of the national vote in 1928, but by 1932 had 33%, and Hitler was able to take over the rulership of the country.

If fake Labour can lose about three-quarters (in fact, more than 3/4) of their previous vote in formerly rock-solid Caerphilly, in South Wales, where Labour votes were once said to be “weighed not counted“, the fall in support in most parts of England must surely be as much or more, arguende. If so, then the number of Labour MPs in or after 2029 would surely be somewhere around 75.

Likewise, but even more striking, the Con vote in Caerphilly was around one-eighth of its previous level. Were that to happen in England and at a general election, the number of Con MPs would be around 15.

It has been said before on the blog, but…that, believe it or not, is our “Deputy Prime Minister”, a thick-as-two-short-planks woman with no cultural or intellectual background to speak of, and whose leisure pursuits (preferably paid for by others) include noisy brainless “clubs” in Ibiza, “vaping”, being tattooed (it appears), and God-knows-what else.

Sometimes even I find it hard to believe how far this country has fallen.

Looking at Twitter/X, it seems that many are assuming that Angela Rayner will replace Starmer as Labour Party leader eventually. Really? I have no time for Starmer-stein, but…Angela Rayner? Well, hopefully, Labour is going down to historic defeat in a few years, so the “Deputy Prime Minister” will never actually occupy 10, Downing Street.

On the wider picture, I now find this country one that, increasingly, I do not recognize, and filled with the sort of people with whom I have nothing at all in common beyond breathing and other core necessities.

More accurately, or put more simply, “they” do not empathize…

The Notting Hill Carnival, born as a tiny entity in 1966, and which still only involved 500 participants or so in the early 1970s, has become a monster. It is actually horrible.

I went once, out of curiosity. That would have been sometime in the early to mid 1980s, but I forget which exact year. My impressions: unpleasant and unpleasantly loud amplified “music” of some sort; costumed performers dancing on the back of trucks; nowhere to get a break from it, or the hot sun; pressing crowds, mostly though not entirely blacks. I recall buying a small bottle of not very pleasant palm wine for about twice what you might expect. I also recall having to walk all the way back to Little Venice because the Underground stations for miles around were shut for safety reasons, and there were of course no buses or taxis anywhere.

Never again.

In fact, most English people, including most local residents and business owners, would like to bin the Notting Hill Carnival, but the authorities are aware that that would cause black riots which would probably devastate half of London, so “Carnival”, attended now by 2 million from all over the country and beyond, still happens, tolerated not out of choice but because the authorities and English people are effectively blackmailed. A sort of parallel or metaphor for the unenthusiastic toleration of non-white populations in general in this country.

Many cannot even speak English to a rudimentary level, most have no qualifications of any sort, most cannot drive legally. What jobs can they do? Few, even if they want to, which most do not.

These “asylum-seekers” (or grantees, once approved) will be, at best, permanent parasites here. Some may also do cash-in-hand work such as illegal taxi-driving, pizza delivery etc. Quite a few will take part in various forms of criminal activity. A (relative) few will be active terrorists.

Not only can we not build a better society with such detritus, the flotsam and jetsam of the world, but we shall be unable even to maintain the society that we now have. You can already see it happening— the slide to dystopia.

The fanatical Jew-Zionists cannot see that, because their whole world-view is toxic, poisonous, self-interested.

The same thing can be seen, for example, when the Israeli planes bomb a hospital in Gaza or elsewhere, killing and horribly wounding hundreds of women and children, and the Jew-Zionist fanatics find out that a Hamas or Hezbollah platoon (or whatever) was hiding in a basement of that hospital and say “see, we were justified in bombing the hospital!“…

A few thoughts out of season

I read a couple of pieces in the online-only Independent newspaper and its connected Indy100 site. Semi-literate, semi-educated. Examples? In the Independent, in an interview with the ex-MP, Mike Amesbury, Amesbury described the three days he recently spent in prison as “…surreal…like an out-of-body experience“, which the Independent‘s scribbler, one Ellie Crabbe, wrote down as “an outer body experience“. No sub-editor (if they even have any) corrected Ms. Crabbe’s egregious mistake. Meanwhile, in the Indy100, one Harriet Brewis, described as “ the Chief Reporter at indy100, covering everything from scientific discoveries to online trends. She previously worked on the Evening Standard’s news desk, heading up the coronavirus blog throughout 2020 and writing the website’s leading stories“, writes that a lake in California has returned after long absence, the water having been extracted by “the greed of colonialists“! Ha ha… Is this an English news outlet, or a Cuban one?

The water extraction was in the USA of the late 19thC, as the article does say, so “colonialists” is a bit anachronistic, arguably, and not really accurate anyway, however bad the treatment of the local Indians/Native Americans may have been.

I might add that that report was published somewhere else a year or two ago. I recall reading it, or some version of it.

In fact, the Conservative Party may well soon be in fifth place in terms of numbers of Commons seats (after Reform, Labour, LibDems, and the SNP).

So that is some of the human and social cost of the policies of Starmer-stein, Rachel Reeves, and Liz Kendall (all members, incidentally, of Labour Friends of Israel). What, however of the political cost to Labour?

We see Labour already languishing in the opinion polls below 25%, in some at only 22%. I have already blogged about the fact that the UK population now has about 20% of its population non-white, and that those voters (those eligible and actually voting) probably now provide the vast bulk of Labour votes.

Since Starmer-stein lied his way to the office of Prime Minister in July 2024, his misgovernment has alienated the “average white families”, those above State Pension age, those approaching State Pension age, almost all British workers at or below average incomes, anyone concerned about the racial and cultural degradation of the country, anyone concerned about developers trashing the green countryside, and anyone at all concerned about the migration-invasion of between half a million and a million immigrants and/or invaders every single year.

Now, in addition to the above, Starmer-stein’s regime is about to hit not only the various types of disabled person, but also their families and others. The biggest hit will come in 2028 and 2029, just when the next general election is probably going to be held.

The result of all of that is that Labour will quite likely have (a trend forecast on the blog quite a while ago, a few years ago) votes mainly from (some of) the “blacks and browns”, and (some of) the public service workers, including (some of) the NHS workforce. Even the 18-24 demographic generally is turning away from Labour.

The electoral result may be that Labour can only score 22%, maybe only 20%, at the next general election. The Conservative Party, on present showing, may not even achieve that. The LibDems are the default “alternative” or “dustbin party”, so will pick up votes from both, but mainly from disaffected Con voters; perhaps 15% or so overall. Greens and several others will take (combined) about 10%-15% of votes. That leaves maybe 30% of the whole available for Reform.

Nature abhors a vacuum. If Reform gets to 30%, with Con and Lab both in the 20%-25% range, the earthquake will have happened. Reform will be in government with a 30 or even 50-seat majority, Labour may have fewer than 140 MPs, and the Con Party may slump to as few as 25.

Once the main System parties are displaced, the only real alternative to Reform, after 2029, will be real social nationalism.

The above nonsense is only part of huge wastage. The “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic “Test and Trace” programme alone was 4x worse. About £38 billion. I favour government spending, in principle, but the devil is in the detail. Syriza quickly sold out to international banking and the EU. The Golden Dawn people, many of them, still sit in prison.

It is almost funny how typical Westminster Bubble scribbler/talking-head types such as Nicholas Watt talk about speculative economic figures as if they have some kind of reality. “Real disposable household income to rise this year by twice as much as expected“…as of now, just empty words from “Rachel from Accounts”; meaningless.

I agree. Basic Income (at some level or levels) is the way to go. Do away with making amputees, the chronically-sick, and/or the unemployed jump through hoops. Shut down 90% of the DWP, and much of HMRC (which latter is like something written by Franz Kafka).

Not just a question of fairness or compassion. Basic Income works.

The first test of the public mood will probably be the Runcorn and Helsby by-election, about which I have blogged in the past few days. The pollsters and bookmakers are forecasting a probably marginal or modest win for Reform UK. I disagree, though I do see from where that comes, looking at the fact that, in 2024, the constituency was the 16th-safest Labour seat. However, much has changed since the General Election of 2024 and, in any case, only 4 out of every 20 eligible voters voted Labour even in 2024 (4 out of every 12 actual voters) in the country as a whole.

I am thinking that Reform will smash the by-election, despite the fact that Labour got over 50% in 2024 while Reform only got 18.1% (Cons 16%).

Everything has changed since July 2024:

a. the imperative desire to kick out a “Conservative” government headed by a (perceivedly) “unelected” and non-white PM (by voting Labour) is no longer there;

b. the continuing migration-invasion;

c. the harsh sentences given to people who supported the anti-invader protesters last summer;

d. the taking away of the pensioners’ Winter Fuel Allowance money;

e. the freeloading —and what amounts to casual petty corruption— of Starmer-stein, Rachel Reeves, Angela Rayner etc.

Now also the latest terrible attack on the sick, disabled, and unemployed, as bad as anything done by the Conservative Party in office 2010-2024.

Former Labour voters will either not vote or will change to Reform, to punish Labour. Former Conservative voters will (though how many ?) vote Reform as a quite (and the only) realistic way of sticking it to Labour, Starmer-stein and Rachel Reeves etc. People who favour Reform anyway will be motivated to vote because they know that this time they can win. People normally perhaps unlikely to vote, but who want to yell “NO!” to everything happening in this country, will mostly vote Reform.

On that basis, I think that it is possible that there could be a stunning win for Reform. If that happens, it will be the death-knell of the Starmer-stein fake “Labour”-label government, despite the fact that it has 4+ years left in office, in theory.

Election Day has not yet been notified but is widely expected to be 1 May 2025. Just under 5 weeks from today.

I missed the reports of the recent death of farmer Tony Martin, imprisoned in 1999 for having shot some “travellers” (Irish tinkers) who had targeted his rundown farmhouse by night.

I wonder whether he ever received it.

I was unaware in 1999 and 2001 that Martin had (probably in the 1970s) supported the National Front [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Front_(UK)], and was related by marriage to Andrew Fountaine [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Fountaine, an interesting if slightly alarming character whom I once saw, and heard speak (at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London in 1975, when I was aged 18-19).

Both Lopresti and his ex-wife, Andrea Jenkyns, lost their Commons seats in 2024. They were both members of Conservative Friends of Israel.

Hard to argue with that, but still a totally one-sided tweet. What about the proven and perverse brutality in Israeli prisons? That’s before we even start to consider the torture (often worse, and also often perverse) inflicted by Israel-contaminated America (and its allies) in the fairly recent past in Abu Ghraib, Bagram, Guantanamo, and elsewhere, and which continues in some places.

Note how that supporter of the Democratic Party puts down the poorer (poorer white?) people in his country. That party has lost its traditional anchoring in the American “working class”, and is now foundering or floundering in a morass of identity politics, fake history, and soundbite nonsense. The same sort of fate has overtaken both the Labour Party and the Conservative Party in the UK. Looking at misnamed “Labour”, it has little or no interest now in supporting the poorer part of the population, once its mainstay.

Can you imagine the old, pre-Blair, Labour Party effectively robbing pensioners of Winter Fuel Allowance, or similar, in order to throw that money and more to the Jew-Zionist dictatorship in Kiev, the bosses of which (including Zelensky) have each ripped off hundreds of millions of US dollars? I think not.

Would the old Labour Party be sheltering, feeding, and giving pocket money to migrant-invaders (in the hundreds of thousands), while —outside the repurposed business hotels housing the invaders, British ex-soldiers and others sleep in the streets? I think not.

Then there is the “anti-racism” nonsense, the “trans” nonsense etc, and looming over it all, the unquestioning support given by Starmer and all his hopeless Cabinet to Israel and the world (inc. UK) Jewish-Zionist lobby. After all, those political drones and corrupt freeloaders all belong to Labour Friends of Israel.

As for the “Conservatives”, no better. Both System parties are more or less a “uniparty” now. There are differences, yes, but few where it matters to the majority of the population.

The American voters, most of them, have clutched at the Trump straws; in the UK the equivalent, so far, would be Reform UK (though that is really just a System party in embryo, with mostly similar policies to the existing ones).

As British society gradually slides to dystopia, it can still happen that a small minority of social-national people may find a way to take power and rule this country properly. That minority need only be a few percent of the entire population, actively supported by another 10%, and mildly supported by another 20%.

I always had the impression about Starmer-Labour, even before it took over the reins of power, that it merely wanted to be in government, but had no real programme (a bit like Cameron-Levita’s government).

A long and interesting report from the Financial Times, from a correspondent presently in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, almost on the front-line, and the report published only 7 hours ago.

Looks as if the situation in that region of Eastern Ukraine is at a tipping point. Russian forces will soon prevail, precipitating a strategic withdrawal or even rout of Kiev-regime forces, and a huge strategic advantage for the Russian side.

Once the Kiev-regime incursion in the Kursk region of Russia, by north-eastern Ukraine, falters and fails, as seems inevitable, the Russian Stavka (high command) will be able to transfer thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of battle-hardened troops back to the Donetsk region front, thus further pressuring the Kiev-regime forces there.

One must feel sorry for those hapless Kiev-regime soldiers, sent to fight, inadequately trained, under poor field commanders and poor strategists, for the Jewish-Zionist regime in Kiev, all under cover of a fake “Ukrainian nationalism” which is merely doing the will of foreign NWO/ZOG cabals.

War is hell, of course, and in some respects becoming ever more hellish now that drones dominate the infantry battlefield, with robot tanks and robot soldiers probably not far down the line.

Hezbollah also boasts a range of anti-tank and anti-air systems, a fleet of thousands of drones, and dozens of tanks and armoured vehicles, and claims to have up to 100,000 active fighters – though INSS estimates the number is more likely 25,000 to 50,000.

And, like Hamas, Hezbollah has an extensive tunnel network along the Lebanese-Israeli border which serves as a strategic asset for clandestine movement, storage, and guerrilla warfare. 

While Jerusalem would assuredly emerge victorious thanks to its technological capabilities and raw numeric advantage in terms of firepower and manpower, Hezbollah would be able to inflict massive damage.

Its terrifying missile and drone arsenal is large enough to quickly overwhelm Israel’s air defences if deployed in earnest, and the thousands upon thousands of Hezbollah fighters that could stream into northern Israel would be continuously supported by well-established air and ground supply routes from its chief backer Iran via Iraq and Syria.

The Islamic Republic has thousands upon thousands of long-range and precision-guided missiles alongside hundreds of thousands of mid-range cruise missiles.

This appears to be the worst-case scenario feared by Israeli defence experts – a coordinated attack in which Iran, Hezbollah and other allies launch wave after wave of missile and drone strikes that overwhelm Israel’s air defences and devastate towns and cities. 

But many analysts say that terrifying prospect is unlikely…

Itzhak Brik, a former Major General in the IDF, told the Jerusalem Post that a full-scale war with Iran and its proxies could ultimately result in the destruction of the state of Israel.

‘Iran and its proxies have 250,000 missiles, rockets, and drones encircling Israel, which means about 4,000 munitions hitting the Israeli home front on a daily basis.

‘Population centres, Haifa Bay, water and electricity facilities, gas fields [in the Mediterranean Sea], IDF bases, and strategic civilian infrastructure… A regional war can ruin the State of Israel,’ he concluded.“

I have thought for some time, 1-2 years, that we are closer to the edge than most believe. Think back to 1914 and 1939.

Now it seems that Starmer (a complete NWO/ZOG/Israel lobby puppet) is pushing even more than the American hawks for “Ukraine” (the Jewish regime in Kiev) to be able to attack all parts of Russia with long-range missiles. This is akin to Russia or Belarus supplying Cuba with rockets and allowing them to be used on all parts of the USA. Think about it.

I had thought Rudolf Steiner mistaken in answering a woman who asked him, in the early 1920s, whether she might reincarnate with him in the later 20th/21st Century (Steiner died in 1925), that she might, were she willing to walk with him across broken glass in a devastated Europe.

I also thought, up until about 15 years ago, that nuclear war between NATO and the Soviet Union, and then Russia, would never happen, or be allowed to happen.

As things stand, I am seriously wondering how much time our present civilization has left.

Well, here we are again. On the “original” 11 September, meaning “9/11” 2001 (in the American format), I was in the back of a taxi driving down the Strand in London, with an American colleague. Mid-morning. He received a call from his wife in Charleston, South Carolina. Something about a plane crashing into the World Trade Center in Manhattan.

My colleague relayed the news to me, and the typically know-all London taxi driver told us that he already knew all about it.

My American colleague asked me where we could get to a TV. I replied that our office in London (off Berkeley Square in Mayfair) had one, but that there used to be a Dixons (electronics and home electrical goods store) in the Strand. We saw it, disembarked and went into that store. Hundreds of TV sets, all showing what looked like a disaster movie. A few customers wandering around, looking at the goods, seemingly unaware of the enormity of what was happening, vicariously, in front of them.

After about 10 minutes looking and listening, we left and went to my then office. The staff there were getting the latest on-the-ground and diplomatic news.

My American colleague was both grim and angry, and muttered something about how “we” should respond in the same way the Israelis always did. Needless to say, I disagreed, though as politely as I could. For one thing, the origins and motives of the perpetrators had not yet been established (he was saying that it must be the Iraqis, which of course turned out to be wrong). I do recall remarking that if a state was proven to have been behind the attack, then it was undoubtedly an act of war in terms of international law.

Of course, the 2001 WTC attack was used as the fuel for the American-led invasions of both Iraq and Afghanistan.

I well remember my American colleague’s anger, which I think was general across the USA, from what I not only saw on TV but also what I noted once or twice in the USA not long afterward; I flew to Washington about a week or so after the attacks.

I myself was relatively unemotional about it, despite the horrible images and evident suffering etc. That’s just me, I suppose. After all, many horrible things happen in the world, and the Americans themselves perpetrate quite a few of them. Having said that, the attack was an appalling outrage from almost any point of view.

Since then, of course, the Trade Center attack has spawned a hundred “conspiracy theories”, including the so-called “Dancing Israelis”: see https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12768362.five-israelis-were-seen-filming-as-jet-liners-ploughed-into-the-twin-towers-on-september-11-2001/.

That report is really worth reading. The Israeli intelligence connection to the “9/11” attack is more than a simple “conspiracy theory” that can be simply laughed off.

As with the Kennedy assassination, some of the “9/11” conspiracy theories, mutually contradictory as some are, cannot be entirely discounted.

One thing that I found odd at the time was that members of the bin Laden family living in the USA at the time were flown out of US airspace on private jets only a day or two after the attacks (the Pentagon also having been hit), and authorized in person, it seems, by George W. Bush, the U.S. President, and at a time before ordinary commercial flights were allowed to resume.

Of course, since the attacks of 2001, the area of the attack has been redeveloped.

The original “Twin Towers” complex was a very powerful architectural statement, partly because of the two almost identical main buildings:

In fact, there were minor differences. I went up both towers. Once only, in 1989, onto the open observation deck of the South Tower:

…and also once only to the Hors d’Oeuvrerie and Cellar in the Sky near the top of the North Tower, where I enjoyed the view and a couple of glasses of Californian Chardonnay with my first wife, an employee of the Federal Government. That would have been in 1990 or 1991.

In fact, during the years 1989-1993 I was occasionally at the World Trade Center, but only because I sometimes used the PATH line from Newark (New Jersey) into Manhattan, a service that terminated either at the WTC or at 33rd Street/Herald Square in Midtown (I more often went to Midtown).

Incidentally, one of the things I noticed about the South Tower was the speed of the very large express lift/elevator (the size of a room), which transported tourists to the floor below the Observation Deck in a matter of only a couple of minutes, if I recall aright. I think 107 floors. There was a staircase from there to the outside Observation Deck.

Having said that, such shouting matches and trivia do have their effect on voter response.

At this point, I have no idea who supposedly “won” the TV debate, or who is going to come out on top in the election.

The “Twitterati”, or Twitter/X twits, heavily pro-Kamala Harris, think that she has “won” the TV debate, but that is near-meaningless: they were also sure that the Remain side would win the Brexit Referendum, and that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

America is now so polarized that it would take a President ten times better than the two present contenders rolled together to patch it up.

It seems that today is a day for Memory Lane.

I notice that Larkbeare House in Exeter, not far from the barristers’ chambers where I was professionally based during the years 2002-2008 (though actually resident much of the time after 2005 and until mid-2009 in France), is up for sale.

Larkbeare House was, at that time (and, indeed, since 1876), the Judges’ Lodgings. High Court and Circuit Judges on the Western Circuit of the Bar [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuits_of_England_and_Wales] would stay there when sitting at Exeter.

I attended a couple of receptions there in 2006/2007.

Judges’ Lodgings, which go back hundreds of years, came into existence as a way of isolating judges from the opinions and potential pressures of the local populations, and also protecting them from potential intimidation or protest.

The sale is a sign of the times. The misgovernment of David Cameron-Levita and George Osborne decided to sell off most of the remaining Judges’ Lodgings. Judges now often stay in hotels when on circuit; to my mind not entirely satisfactory.

Incidentally, if anyone wants to buy the property, the “guide price” is £4M.
