Author Douglas Murray obtained the full list and discovered that one of his books had been given a red flag by Prevent.
Mr Murray wrote in The Spectator magazine: ‘A number of books are singled out, the possession or reading of which could point to severe wrongthink and therefore potential radicalisation… It seems that RICU is so far off-track that it believes that books identifying the problem that it was itself set up to tackle are in fact a part of the problem.’ He concluded that RICU’s work was ‘pathetic’ and called for ‘accountability’ for its errors and ‘sackings by the score’.
The list has emerged following a major review into the Prevent scheme by William Shawcross.
His report, published earlier this month, exposed serious failings in Prevent, warning that it applies a ‘double standard’ to Islamist and far-Right threats. The £49million-a-year scheme had prioritised countering far-Right activity above tackling the prime Islamist threat, it added.

That of course is the problem faced by political leaders of any kind. They cannot be expert in all the fields over which their imprimatur is decisive, so it comes down to which “experts” or “specialists” they trust, unless their decisions are to be completely arbitrary in nature.
A political leader must inevitably always be a generalist, though he (or she) may be expert in one or two fields (eg Margaret Thatcher, a chemist who was also a tax barrister). However, what about all the other areas of policy, such as education, railways, military hardware, grand strategy, waste disposal and the general environment, intelligence and security etc?
You see all of that in the decisions of Adolf Hitler, among many others.
Hitler was, or became, fairly expert in some areas of military policy and strategy, and also knew much about art, architecture, and more academic fields such as history, religion and philosophy. In some other areas of policy or knowledge, he knew not much, yet had to decide upon them, a problem made worse by the structural constraints of the National Socialist state, meaning fuhrerprinzip or autocracy. The leader had to decide.
These factors affect the UK as well, for example at present. We have people who are pretty ignorant at the top (e.g. the recent Prime Ministers), and yet they have to decide high policy affecting diverse matters such as foreign policy, military and NHS procurement, law and order, freedom of expression, intelligence and security, transport etc.

I just nodded affably, while really thinking that she probably deserved a couple of rounds pumped into her.
Imagine that, though: the (entitled, possibly Oxford/Cambridge grad) shop assistant thought to intrude her ridiculous, half-baked —and unwanted, and unsought— personal political views into a mundane book-buying situation which did not call for her judgment, or judgmentalism.
You see that kind of attitude everywhere now. It came out into the open during the “Covid” non-crisis or “panicdemic”, with silly shop-people loving their new roles as herders of shoppers, ordering them to “socially distance”, and making sure that the human “sheep” were wearing their useless facemasks “the right way” etc.

A pretty good assessment from a few months ago, not seen by me until today. In fact, it echoes my own feeling from long before, that the “Harry and Meghan Show” was even then becoming a big bore for most people on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Cold War was frozen, formalized, mutual aggression. The world came close to disaster more than once, but the situation was at least stable. That was hard on the peoples of occupied Central and Eastern Europe, caged by the “Big Three” agreements of the WW2 period (Casablanca, Teheran, Yalta, Potsdam), but actually life there was not always and everywhere terrible— just worse (usually, mostly) and —overall— less free than in the (better parts of) Western Europe and North America.
That was better than nuclear war across Europe, the Soviet Union, and the USA.
The gradual collapse of socialism in the 1956-1989 period of 33 years meant that one of the two main pillars of that stasis collapsed, meaning that outside socio-economic and other forces could start to flow into what had been Soviet territory..
Without Soviet power in place, the whole Soviet system fell apart quite quickly. By 1991, the Soviet Union was history. Western goods and ideas flooded Russia and the newly-liberated or created states. Ukraine was, for the first time in history, an independent state (a simplification, but basically correct).
Instead of a genuine attempt to help Russia and other former components of Sovietism transition to a better society, there was a scramble to rule over Russia, and to exploit its people, taken part in not only by Jewish (yes, and other) interests in the West but also by Jews inside Russia, the so-called “oligarchs”. Some, such as Boris Berezovsky, have died (probably murdered, despite living in the UK), others have increased their security and moved permanently to the UK, USA, Israel etc.
I myself saw elements of that scramble, not only when I first visited Moscow in 1993, and not only in my year in Kazakhstan (1996-97) but also in other ways, e.g. by my sitting (1995-1996) on the Committee of the Central Asia and Transcaucasia Law Association [CATLA], a body set up by large law firms with interests in the post-Soviet states, with UK Government assistance.
Also later, when back in London, in the Caribbean, and elsewhere.
On the foreign policy side, the “New World Order” [“NWO”] tried to take over Russia, and nearly did so when Yeltsin was President. What prevented it was a combination of circumstances: Russian pushback fuelled by wounded pride, Putin taking over as President, the collapse of the dotcom bubble in the West, and the focus of the NWO shifting to its other major interest, i.e. destroying the states hostile to Israel; that was after the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.
The military aid being given has gone from small items of defensive “kit” (in the British military term) to large items of offensive armament, as Hitchens writes. There are few weapons more aggressive in offence than a tank.
I recall being at a CATLA meeting in London in late 1995 or early 1996 when an account was given of a report that day by telephone from Dushanbe, Tadzhikistan, then the epicentre of a civil war. The report had had to be curtailed because the person on the end of the line had suddenly said “I’m going— a tank has just come round the corner.” End of conversation.

Still a small number compared with those in action in 1943 at Kursk (over 8,000 tanks in total); however, in Egypt, Rommel’s initial advance on Alexandria involved about 300 German tanks.
The point is that the war is now getting to the point where, in the absence of a ceasefire or negotiated settlement, the Russians either have to recruit, train and deploy an army vast enough and powerful enough to overwhelm the forces of the Kiev regime in 2023, or go nuclear (whether tactical or even strategic).
The USA and UK (etc) are getting to the point where they might be seen as actual participants in the war.
Leaving the huge forces (mainly American) of NATO aside, there is no way for the Kiev regime to win this. Ukraine is becoming a country without electricity, it has little functioning industry now, 20% of its population has fled to other states, and its population is anyway a fraction of the size of that of Russia.
If the West (NWO/ZOG) does not stop supporting the Kiev regime, we are on and sliding down a slope which might well devastate all of Europe.

“Jack Monroe” was going to sue, said the (((occupied))) Press, not only Lee Anderson but also the political commentator Martin Daubney, at least one of whom (Lee Anderson) had implied (indeed expressed) on TV that “Jack Monroe” is a fraud: he actually said “living off the backs of the poor“. I could not have put it better myself.
Well, here we are, nearly 7 months later, and there has been no action launched; nor even any pre-action correspondence sent.
Lee Anderson has already said that he has heard nothing from the woman or her lawyers (if any), despite the Press claims from May 2022, which seem to have been uncritically supportive of the egregious “Bootstrap Cook”.
While, technically, that leaves “Bootstrap Cook” with another 5 months to bring an action, I think that it is reasonable now to opine that there will be no defamation suit by “Jack Monroe” against Lee Anderson.
However, that is not the whole story: “Jack Monroe” asked people in general and her “supporters” in particular to send money to fund the (so far, non-existent) legal action. I was once, in the early 1980s, somewhat acquainted with a wealthy property-developer who lived in West Sussex. His wife was a novelist of sorts, and had been published (by a real publisher, not via Amazon self-publishing or the like) several times. This in fact was well before Amazon; her first novel had been published around 1980 or slightly earlier.

I have had, also, and in the 1970s and 1980s, some limited experience of various firearms (shotguns, pistols, automatic weapons too) in other parts of the world: Central Southern Africa, Ireland, the USA etc, but have never been fascinated by weapons, and have never made the mistake of imagining that Mao’s dictum that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun” is 100% right (though it is not 100% wrong either).

A simple way of getting a hundred mugs to “reply” to her, thus clearing more critical tweets from the “Jack Monroe” timeline on Twitter. Anyone searching for the name “Jack Monroe” thus sees few, if any, critical tweets.
As of today, “Jack Monroe” is being supported financially by no less than 641 mugs on the Patreon website. That means that she is getting between £2,240 and £28,204 every single month (minus Patreon fees); possibly even taxfree (not sure about that, in view of the fact that she pretends to supply goods in return, though few seem to have been delivered to “patrons”). In any event, it seems reasonable to conclude that she is getting at least £6,000 a month from that source alone, yet still tweets proudly about how her new hairstyle cost her only a few pounds, as if she is really hard-up, and short of ready cash. It is totally dishonest in my opinion, as far as I can see anyway.
What puzzles me is the motivation of the mugs in question. Do they really think that subsidizing the lifestyle of “Jack Monroe” somehow constitutes a blow against the Conservative Party government, or against “poverty” in general? If so, they must be very stupid, or deluded. If anyone wants to help people really in financial trouble, they need only look at the crowdfunding sites such as GoFundMe.

I haven't been following any of this so just assuming that this is a factual account and not just your subjective interpretation of events: she could be disorganised, chaotic, have been interrupted by life crises we don't know about or have resolved disputes with complainants.

Raises important points, namely “why is the State encouraging millions of young people to take three or four-year degrees, sometimes of questionable quality or utility, and which often lead only to the sort of low-pay, low-skill jobs that they would have done had they not had the university education?” and “why is the State wasting billions annually on this?“
The idea that more “degrees” equals “a more educated population” and “a high-wage economy” is very shallow thinking.
🇪🇺🇫🇷 France is banning short-haul domestic flights when there is a rail alternative that takes less than two and a half hours. The ban, which has been greenlit by Brussels, will put an end to flights between Paris Orly Airport and the cities of Nantes, Bordeaux, and Lyon.
I no longer live in Finistere. When I did, I took the Paris Orly-Brest or Paris CDG-Brest flight(s) a couple of times, after having arrived from Doha (Qatar) on one occasion and Hong Kong on another. An hour and a half in the air instead of between 3 and a half hours and 4 and a half hours on a train (so in fact those air services will not be affected by the new ruling, because over the 2.5-hour mark).
I imagine that that new ruling will make life less convenient for some people, but that that will not be of interest to the many, because only the relative few take such flights anyway. I do have my doubts and suspicions, though, about what amounts to pointless virtue-signalling.
Clearly it is impossible for a third party to insert themselves into Jack Monroe’s mind, so we have to make a judgement on “intent” from her own words and actions.
As I have blogged recently, I think now that there should be investigation into “Jack Monroe” by police fraud investigators, trading standards people, fundraiser regulatory staff etc, in order to establish the truth or otherwise of the various allegations made over, especially, the past five months.

If it is true that the director of the Tea House Theatre, one Harry Iggulden, has cancelled the appearance of Alison Chabloz by reason of “her views“, then he is no better than the Jewish lobby and their “antifa” “useful idiots”.
Having said that, the Jewish Chronicle is not known for the accuracy of its reports, so we shall see.
Someone that runs a funeral home confirm that – "Never saw so many dying in their sleep. And young people. Not taking a third dose. Never again" – she said She was really scared.
