Other European countries have their own problems, but the UK is just sick now; very sick, in fact. Nothing works properly, there is not merely “immigration” but “migration invasion”, there is no real law and order at the lower levels, and services are collapsing: police, NHS, elderly social care, planning, housing, education, you name it.

The much-lauded political philosopher and man of the people Gary Lineker sent his son to Charterhouse and the young prodigy still couldn’t get into university.
The lad wrote on his Facebook page "Didn't get into uni… cheers school u massive knobbers!" https://t.co/Ku0qUg6cO7
For me, the problem with Gary Lineker is not merely that he is an ignorant individual who (thanks to his money, his BBC job, and his army of pig-ignorant Twitter “followers”) can pose as someone knowledgeable, or even wise, and of course “faux-“caring” (his money, of course, insulates him from having to live with the consequences of the importation of millions of backward hostiles and millstones-round-neck), but equally that the BBC pays this idiot as much as £2 million a year to shoot the breeze about football. Why? Why? The whole thing is just ridiculous.
Take away the BBC’s ricebowl.

You only have to look on Twitter to see that most of the obsessive and malicious “reporting” and complaining, and whining, and demanding, is done by Jews (Zionists), aided in a minor way by a few so-called “antifascists”, who are merely “useful idiots” of the said Jew-Zionists.
We don't. But you have to acknowledge the obvious. I can't say I hate blacks. I know good black people. But even black people move away from black people when they can. They are why it's expensive to live in white neighborhoods.

Where were those “free speech” people when Jez Turner of London Forum was imprisoned for making a speech in Whitehall urging the removal of Jews from the UK? (I had better not add a further comment, in our “free country”!)…
Where were those people, who apparently want (more) free speech for ignorant loudmouth Gary Lineker, when Alison Chabloz was repeatedly arrested, prosecuted and eventually imprisoned for the “crime” of merely having posted some humorously “antisemitic” cartoons and songs on the Internet?
Where were the same people when I myself was wrongfully and unlawfully disbarred in 2016 for having tweeted five (the Jews had complained about hundreds!) entirely correct and true tweets about (mainly) Jews, and about Michael Gove etc?
The Jewish lobby also had my Twitter account taken down in 2018, and have, on several occasions, tried to have me arrested and prosecuted via entirely malicious complaints to the police (who may usually be useless at their proper job but are only too keen to play the “poundland KGB”).

Well, in view of the fact that, per head, and thanks to subsidies from England (in effect), Scotland’s population has about 20% more spent on it as compared to the population of England, that is unsurprising. Try keeping that level of service going when Scotland achieves its faux-“Independence” (if it ever does).
I can't even point to a tweet or instance where JM has actually sign posted people to useful advice and resources, you'd think, especially at the moment when things are so bleak, a poverty campaigners would be doing that instead of posting selfies and such…

It is amazing, when one thinks of it, how much of that which we take for granted as the backdrop of our lives is actually relatively new in the world. After all, the American “Wild West” was in the 19th Century; the American Indian wars (effectively a genocide) around the 1870s. Only about 150 years ago.
Likewise, much of Africa, though partly known in outline to Europeans for hundreds of years, was only colonized and developed over the past 150 years or so, and some only over the past century or so.
Australia, as a European colonized development, only goes back a couple of hundred years or so. As for Antarctica, its very existence was unknown until a Russian ship spotted it in, I think, 1808.
Radio— as a mass product, in the past century; TV— for most people, since the 1950s; Internet etc— for most people, since the mid-1990s, not even 30 years ago.
I personally do not have much confidence that our present form of civilization and/or society will last much longer. I am now 66, meaning that it is moot as to whether I myself shall be able to contribute directly to the creation of a new society (rather than merely inspiring “our unconquerable (ideological) children“) to create anew.
It may be, that it will only be possible to lay down the basis in this incarnation, akin to planting a seed, with the expectation that the seed will only germinate at a later period of history, when we shall reincarnate in order to carry through the project to a victorious conclusion. We may have to accept that.

Incidentally, while writing this, I found out that, contrary to what I had read and heard previously, Johnny Cash had no American Indian/Native American ancestry at all but was mainly of Scottish and English ancestry (see that Wikipedia article). Another surprise is that he was apparently a distant cousin of the (UK) Conservative Party MP, Bill Cash [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cash].
“One in five bar staff are now graduates and experts say it is because university leavers find it increasingly hard to find professional work.
Nineteen per cent of bar workers went to university, compared with 3 per cent 30 years ago, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) found.
The research, based on data from 6,000 workers, also found that 17 per cent of waiters are graduates, compared with 2 per cent three decades ago.
The same is true of 14 per cent of retail staff, 15 per cent of care workers and 24 per cent of security guards.
It comes amid growing fears that many youngsters are taking ‘Mickey Mouse’ degrees, which do not properly prepare them for professional work. Around half of young people now study for a degree.
[Daily Mail]
Not a new problem but one which has undoubtedly become worse over the years. I had a friend in the mid-1980s who told me that all of his colleagues in the Covent Garden branch of Oddbins (a wine —and other booze— chain, now pretty much washed-up) were graduates, as was he himself (in his case, from a leading dance institute).
My solution to both the general dumbing-down (which I noticed when in practice at the Bar, talking to or listening to younger barristers), and to the “Mickey Mouse degree” problem, would be as follows:
Firstly, the State must assess students based on a number of criteria. Those assessed as being in the top 10% to get full grants, both tuition and living; the next 20% to get grants, but at a lower level; the rest to get free tuition but no other help.
Secondly, more (free and/or indeed paid) vocational training for a number of jobs; successful completion to be regarded as degree-equivalent. Examples: medical careers, police, Army, many business-related fields. This was the case until quite recently even in what are now regarded as “degree-only” professions. For example, up to the late 1970s, it was possible to be Called to the Bar without a degree (by doing a 2-year, rather than 1-year, Bar Finals course). The same was true of the solicitors’ profession.
It would be short-sighted for the State only to fund the hard sciences, or quite strictly vocational degrees such as law or medicine, but there have to be priorities set, and if (as now) there is a near-emergency in relation to shortages of nurses and doctors, then that is one area that must surely be prioritized.
The whole educational field needs a reboot. Some parts of it, indeed, just need “the boot”.

We are now called 'deniers' if we point out that the proposed solution to a problem is completely insane.
What people using this label fail to understand is that the truth of the problem's existence does not make any difference to the lunacy of their solution.
…”the lunacy of their solution“…which, in relation to the “panicdemic” meant shutting down the economy of the UK —and much of the Western world— for 1-2 years (now, a year or three on, about to cause a massive recession and maybe slump), making everyone wear completely useless facemasks, making people line up outside supermarkets 6 feet apart (until the were inside…and while going to the pub opposite was fine…); not to mention the ludicrous “Rule of Six” made up by “Boris”-idiot, and then of course, finally, the “vaccinations” and “boosters”, which scarcely impact “Covid” but which have caused an epidemic of heart attacks and other “excess deaths” across the world.

I used to know parts of the Netherlands fairly well, about 40 or so years ago. My Dutch friends have, over the years, seen their city (Amsterdam) and country trashed, and their way of life ruined both culturally and economically: migration invasion, toleration of marijuana (etc), and a pseudo-liberal multikulti State and society which pretends to be terribly compassionate etc, but has evil at its heart. The medical and health system is but one example.
Yes, there are still foreigners who move to Amsterdam, think it wonderful etc, just as there is always a new generation of naive provincials who come to London, and think it great (for a while).
By the way, some readers will recall that the Jewish lobby got Alison Chabloz banned from entering France for 40 years, if I recall aright.

Geez can we stop pretending public sector cuts are bc of Mini Budget. We borrowed £325 billion for Covid, at least another £60-100 billion for energy. Our debt, at £2.4 trillion, is highest for 60 yrs, nearly 100% of GDP. On both left & right politicians need to tell it straight.
Exactly so. The stupid, unnecessary and dictatorial “measures” taken during the “panicdemic” were what really shoved the UK into the economic mire.
Rishi Sunak becomes Britain's 57th Prime Minister. He inherits a divided party that is languising below 20% in the polls, a divided country in the midst of the most severe cost-of-living crisis for 50 years, & a divided Union that is cracking at the seams. A truly daunting inbox

A corollary is that all these fields have increasingly become provinces of the wealthy, because post-graduate education is expensive, and is now a gamble: it comes with no guarantee of a job in the relevant field.
(I think there was a golden age of literacy, between roughly 1850 and 1950 – the reading public was ever growing, and reading ever more, and serious writers could both emerge from and speak to this wide public.
There's nothing wrong with this, as a type of serious intellectual formation, but it's a problem if it's the 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 type of intellectual formation that can actually grant entry to the public sphere.
If we no longer have public thinkers sustained by a public readership, but rather only post-graduate-degree holders sustained by institutions, we have restricted intellectual respect to a class for whom deference to expertise and to authority are often second nature.
To be sure, there is cause for hope in the emergence, outside the approved public sphere, of a reasoned, multi-faceted and persisent Covid counter-narrative.
And I fear this pattern will repeat itself again and again, until the gap between blinkered expertise and addled ignorance is filled, or that gap leads to such ruination as to make the problem irrelevant.
I have blogged about some of that previously. Some fields of academia, eg sociology, linguistics, English language etc, are now replete with not only specialized language (as with mathematics, or physics, inter alia) but also empty jargon. Jews are not the only ones swimming in the polluted waters, but they are very prominent.

There’s a staff shortage crisis in care homes. In England, there are 165,000 vacancies across this sector. So forcing out approximately 40,000 care home workers for deciding against a medical procedure was discriminatory and massively counterproductive. https://t.co/oJibPjdMQi
Absolutely disgusting. Those guilty of making the wrong decisions (eg Little Matt Hancock) were applauded at the time. The whole mess was also supported, overall, by Starmer-Labour, incidentally.
People working in those situations must now be better paid, and conditions improved.
A framed narrative has been peddled around our political discourse that Liz Truss (a 45 day Prime Minister) somehow trashed the economy. In reality, the economy was trashed by months of lockdowns & £500bn of quantitative easing. The Chancellor at the time was Rishi Sunak. https://t.co/VncHDKGKlY

Quite. You still see people (who seem to think themselves terribly clever) tweeting “freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences“, whereas, as “@RealBlackIrish” points out there, that is exactly what it means. The “freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences” formula would mean, in effect, that Stalin’s Russia, Mao’s China and present-day North Korea all had free speech.
There was (maybe still is) a mediocre law lecturer from East Anglia, one Paul Bernal (descended from the well-known part-Jew 20thC scientist, J.D. Bernal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._D._Bernal), who used to regularly and unthinkingly tweet that formula.

One line that struck me was his assertion that 80% of American college students are unable to comprehend a news magazine. Not a treatise by Wittgenstein, not books such as Das Kapital or Mein Kampf, but a news magazine! He’s talking about superficial, easy-reading stuff such as Time or Newsweek, probably, not even the Economist or the magazine to which I subscribed when I lived in the USA in the early 1990s, U.S. News and World Report.
Note that Reich is speaking of American college students, i.e, people who have graduated from secondary education, and who are at universities or other tertiary institutions!
One is reminded of how the U.S. Army in WW2 used to supply its frontline troops with comic books…
In the UK, we tend to laugh at the Americans in that regard, but I am not so sure that many British people are much better these days.
When you think that British children and young people now attend school (unless homeschooled) for 13 years in most cases, ages 5-18, and yet the quality even of university graduates is so very poor…and, yes, I certainly do include many Oxbridge graduates.
A complete rethink is required. Open debate and open thinking. What is education? What is it for? How can it be organized or arranged for optimal results (and what are those results)?
At present, much of the State funding expended is spent basically to warehouse children while the parents are at work. Not good enough.
The old and accepted “degree” system also needs change. First degree, “master’s”, and then “doctorate”. Terms which are a legacy from the Middle Ages.

As soon as the State-sponsored “panicdemic” started, a vast number of loonies (like the woman in that clip) came out of the woodwork. The so-called “crisis” really weaponized such idiotic people and their mental problems and, for some, probably gave them a reason to exist, in their own little minds.
We have had 18 months of this nonsense now.
.@ProfKarolSikora was warning about this from day one of lockdown. I’m not medically qualified but could see this was the bleeding obvious. We were ridiculed, verbally abused on social media, and accused of wanting to ‘kill granny.’ What an utterly shameful period in our history. https://t.co/byz79DBfMj
The most important thing for our society to do, once it has “cleared the decks” of major problems, backward elements and impediments, is to —metaphorically and, perhaps, eventually, actually— “aim for the stars”.
For practical purposes, the human brain is infinite.
[for “is more”, read “are more”…]
Human beings are still at or near the start of their development. IQ tests are only a guide to the present intelligence of an individual or a people. The “average” is usually taken to be 100. A simplification, of course [see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient].
I believe that the high-IQ club, MENSA, takes members above a score something like 140 or 142. It is not particularly uncommon for persons to score well above that level, though such persons are within the top 2%, and in some cases 1%, of the population. I myself was tested (in the 1980s, before marriages and an ocean of red wine) at 156. I know at least one person who was once tested at 169, which (I think) is somewhere towards the top of the useful scale, though I am no expert in these matters.
The figures can only be taken as a rough guide to reality. According to the Wikipedia article cited above, persons in “professional and technical” occupations average, supposedly, around 112, while persons who are medical doctors, lawyers etc score an average of 125.
It is often mistakenly thought that a score above some set figure indicates “genius”, whereas in reality “genius” imports what Wagner, in response to a question about his own genius, called “universal currents of Divine thought“.
One sometimes sees young persons whom the popular Press describes as having “genius” IQ. Their strong suit is usually mathematics. A number of years ago, a young Jewish girl was one such. She entered Oxford University at age 12, having passed the entrance requirements at age 10. She is now a professor in Israel. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Lawrence
Such people rarely take a leading role in society, either because they have no interest in doing so, or because their mentality is narrowly-focussed, or both.
As Valentin Tomberg impliedly noted in one of his books, such people have often achieved capabilities beyond the norm precisely because they have abandoned general growth in favour of a narrow and specialized advance. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditations_on_the_Tarot
When we talk about society in general, we talk of a broad advance (or decline) across the board. It is well known that Oriental ethnic groups, especially Chinese and Japanese, have a high average IQ. Northern Europeans too. Some ethnic groups, particularly many sub-Saharan African ones, have a markedly low average IQ.
This is not a (no pun intended) black and white issue. Even the Wikipedia overview [see above] outlines some of the uncertainties and complexities.
There is also the point that mere intelligence is not everything. “Emotional intelligence”, often called “EQ”, is also of importance. A common mistake is to imagine that morality, compassion etc are “add-ons” to intelligence. Not so. In our present age, the two are distinct, but to imagine that evil-doers are generally more intelligent than the well-intentioned is an error.
Valentin Tomberg [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentin_Tomberg] examined the good/evil and high intelligence/low intelligence binaries in some of his work. He also noted, as did Steiner, the eventual appearance on Earth of two opposed groups, which would become opposed cultures, civilizations, and then races, one evil, one good.
Let us ask, as an exercise in ideas, what could we do, in a circumstance where we have the power to choose, to create a higher societal form.
For the purposes of this exercise, I am assuming that the most unpleasant and backward groups in present UK society are no longer present.
The starting point must be the educational system, which is obviously not working. A simplistic view would be to say “replace present State and other education with Steiner (or other) education”. My problem with that would be that, from what I have heard, even Steiner education is by no means perfect.
However, there obviously needs to be considerable reform of both school and university education. The whole “degree” and “master’s degree” and “doctorate” system should really be junked, as no longer fit for purpose.
“Education” should not be merely a matter of stuffing heads with facts (important though that can be); still less, a matter of stuffing heads with propaganda (often false). It should be a matter of general, including moral-ethical, upbringing, with the aim of allowing to blossom each child’s capabilities and talents for the ultimate good of society.
Institutes should be established, which would have the specific aim of increasing the cultural and intelligence level of the people. A great deal has been learned in the past century about how to increase intelligence in the short-term: diet, music etc.
During the 12-year currency of the German Reich, there were institutes established to study esoteric matters, as well as history. The best known was SS-Ahnenerbe [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahnenerbe].
There was a generally spiritual as well as practical side to German National Socialism.
Even today, there is considerable interest in SS-Ahnenerbe, and later developments.
While it would be excellent to establish an institute such as SS-Ahnenerbe in the new UK state, the Ahnenerbe’s focus was mainly on the past, whereas for me the orientation has to be towards the future.
We already have institutes of, inter alia, psychology, sociology, philosophy. However, some studies are considered the realm of cranks, and any academic taking an interest in what might be called “X-files” matters will be cold-shouldered at best, as happened to Rupert Sheldrake: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Sheldrake; https://www.sheldrake.org/.
We need to study, on a more rigorous basis, astrology, parapsychology, hypnotism, magic, telekinesis etc.
A new society can be more than just an administrative and economic unit; it can be an entity that takes its evolution into its own hands and quickens it. The aim: higher evolution. A super-race, with capabilities that would seem to us, today, to be superhuman.
#GordonElliott will not be permitted to have runners in Britain until the conclusion of an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board investigation into an image on social media that showed the trainer sitting on a dead horse on his gallops. https://t.co/IVw4wCIYhw via @RTEracing
If this is ever properly investigated, the history of the last 11 months may look hugely different. The Daily Mail's work on it, and Bel Mooney's courageous telling of the story of her own father, have now made that possible. https://t.co/GwH1BDuLFN
How widespread *is* secret sympathy for the IRA among New Labour's upper deck? Much of the Blairite elite came into Labour from the International Marxist Group(IMG), which used (I well recall it because I hated it even then) to chant 'Victory to the IRA!' on 1970s demonstrations. https://t.co/QqtgjqTvkh
Well, I blogged about that yesterday. No wonder Fleet Street newspapers (and the msm in general) were so uncritical when Blair and his regime (eg the egregious and fairly ghastly “Mo” Mowlam) concluded “peace” with the IRA (which despite still being able to set off bombs and rockets, had essentially been defeated militarily by 1997).
I’m afraid Mr Hitchens is absolutely right, we can rage on the internet all we like, we can make small acts of defence like a brew with friends or not wearing a mask but it will make no difference, lockdown will end when the govt and SAGE say so, the opposition has had no impact.
Well, there might have been real resistance, but in fact there was almost none. Meanwhile the “Great Reset” plan of the international cabals continues to be implemented. (nb. I think that tweeter “@PaulWaddington3” means “defiance“, not “defence“).
Do dumbass parents not realize how damaging it is to put their kids in isolation? Seriously.
I wonder whether someone would like to do a similar graphic, though more complex, of the UK, taken over slowly since the late 19th Century. The graphic would show infiltration into business, the legal professions, politics, the mass media and other areas, including rental property (both commercial and residential).

Keir Starmer is not himself a Jew, but he is married to one (a property lawyer), and their children are being brought up as if full-Jewish, including the Jewish supremacist religious holidays. In a word, Starmer is just a puppet.

As I have said many times before, the international cabals know that the next significant year in the 33-year cycle is 2022. It will be the most significant since 1989, which was itself the most determinative since 1956.
That cycle, and 2022 as the next really important year, is why everything seems to be moving so quickly now— the worldwide virus “crisis”, the “black lives matter” nonsense (in the still-majority-white countries), the endless blacks and browns on every TV show, every TV ad etc in the UK, USA and elsewhere. The Great Reset and also the Great Replacement, in accordance with the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan.

I was sent this Wikipedia material: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Langan, which is biographical detail about someone who has had some of the highest I.Q. test results ever recorded; between 195 and 210.
My own I.Q. was once (long ago!) tested at 156, which is considered high, the global average being taken to be 100. The average for UK university students is supposed to be 125 (though I am citing a figure from the 1980s, before “everyone and his dog” went to a “university”, so the average for students must surely be lower now…). I believe that the British “dating club for eggheads”, MENSA, takes candidates with I.Q. levels above 140 or 142 (I cannot recall exactly, offhand).
That Christopher Langan biog. is an interesting read in terms of the “Nature v. nurture” debate. As Wikipedia notes, it is interesting to speculate as to whether Langan would have had a very different (easier? Less turbulent?) life had he had such background (and family wealth) as the Jewish scientist, Oppenheimer [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Robert_Oppenheimer].
As far as Langan himself is concerned, Wikipedia says that: “Langan’s IQ was estimated on ABC’s 20/20 to be between 195 and 210,[2] and he has been described by some journalists as “the smartest man in America” or “in the world”.[3][4][5][6]” and adds that: “Langan has developed an idea he calls the “Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe” (CTMU)[3][6][8] which he maintains “explains the connection between mind and reality, therefore the presence of cognition and universe in the same phrase”.[9] He calls his proposal “a true ‘Theory of Everything‘, a cross between John Archibald Wheeler‘s ‘Participatory Universe‘ and Stephen Hawking‘s ‘Imaginary Time‘ theory of cosmology”[3] additionally contending that with CTMU he “can prove the existence of God, the soul and an afterlife, using mathematics.“[1][4] “
Langan has socio-political views which would —and perhaps do— enrage the Jews and their “antifa” dupes:
Hard for the sort of mediocre, self-describing “Left” Twitter-twits and/or Jews often noticed to describe someone such as Langan as “a knuckledragger”, but no doubt many would still do it. They certainly do it to other intelligent and well-educated social-national people; they have done it even to me! Fortunately, such ignorant critics are irrelevant both to me and general society.
High IQ is better than low, but high morality (in the sense of the Good, or compassion etc) is more important, or equally important; perhaps more important. We are used to thinking, perhaps from popular thrillers etc, of “clever” and “bad” as going together, whereas “bad” often goes with stupidity, in fact. The future must be both “clever” and “good”.
Nature v. nurture. A debate which has been lively since the time of Darwin, and arguably since much earlier times. The Jesuits said, following no less than Aristotle, “give me the child until he is seven, and I shall give you the man.”
Rudolf Steiner was right to place education in the forefront of society. The German National Socialists, with very different aims and methods, did the same. As did the Soviet Union. None was 100% “right” in terms of what was done. Even Waldorf (Rudolf Steiner) schools are subject to criticism, sometimes ill-founded, sometimes not.
Whatever one may say about different forms of education, there is no doubt that, in the wider sense (meaning upbringing from birth, as well as more formal education), it is key to the future of the whole world.
People vary widely in their abilities. It should be the job of educationalists to discover what abilities a child has, and then to nurture them, both for the good of the child and for the good of society. Vocational dissatisfaction is at the root of many of the ills of society.
Also, it is not just a matter of stuffing the child with as much knowledge as possible, important as that may be. “EQ” (emotional intelligence) must run alongside I.Q. This idea is not new. After all, in exaggerated form it appears in Tom Brown’s Schooldays:
That formula, however, all but chucks out the idea of “IQ” and an education of facts. It is more akin to the basic National Socialist education of 1930s Germany. Not for nothing did Hitler admire the Boy Scout and Girl Guide movement of Baden Powell, and emulate it via the Hitlerjugend and Bund Deutscher Mädel.
The better ideal takes into account both the formation of intellect and the formation of character, including that of helping others: Durch Mitleid wissen (“Through compassion to knowledge”, the motto of the Knights of the Grail).
I wish that the “educational debate” in the UK were more about the themes noted above, and less about meaningless “grades”, “degrees” etc; and far less about “equality” (whether absolute or “of opportunity”).
I wonder what it would take to “raise the sense of personal threat” felt by members of “SAGE” (aka “DUMB”, the Department Under Matt and Boris”)? Or MPs, for that matter…
Of course, many MPs have contracted “the virus” and are still around. Are they incapable of learning?
Yes, that is right. As Hitchens says; 1998, not 1997, I think. I remember reading about it, in an overpriced Sunday Times bought when I was living in Alexandria in early 1998.
It wasn't Corbyn who freed the IRA murderers in 1998, @zimbo81180387. It was Blair backed by Clinton and the Tories. I've always thought it a touch hypocritical for the establishment parties to attack Corbyn on this issue, given their own records of appeasing terror. https://t.co/FZOnLOUfWo
Peace at any price…in 1997, the USA had its own agenda anyway. From the USA, the UK seems very much a sideshow (part of Europe/Eurasia), so Northern Ireland is “a sideshow of a sideshow”…
In general this is a good policy. But the rivers of Oxford have always flooded (less so, it is true, in the days of the wonderful old Thames Conservancy, when trees were quickly cleared and channels dredged) and sensible people have just not built on floodplains. https://t.co/OX7wjoLWU7
That sort of pseudo-SWAT militia is more now in evidence than previously. In the 1990s, they were mainly seen around Heathrow, often with smug semi-smiles on their faces. I often used to wonder what would happen in the event of a real terrorist outrage. Would the “robocops” really open fire with their Heckler & Kock MP5s? In a crowded terminal?! As seen often on Twitter, “genuine question”…
Having driven extensively in both Greece and Turkey (and in the Northern part of Cyprus), I am both unsurprised and (because I like the tweets of “European Housewife”) disinclined to comment!
As suspected SAGE are giving false advice to drift us into communism. It is important to understand Neil Ferguson is consulting with Tony Blair regularly. https://t.co/zClnQ3GTEU
Ah. If it is true that Ferguson is talking with (conspiring with?) Blair, then it becomes clear why Ferguson is still given a clear run on the BBC…
For the whole of South East Britain there was only ONE claimed Covid death for the week ending 20th December just the one in Greenwich. Sill happy about being locked down over Christmas ? https://t.co/L5s3oJuxln

9 The decade between 2003 and 2013 saw national wealth generated by American labor increase by about 20% – and yet, median household income lost 43% of its value.
Detail of Mac’s clever, acid cartoon in today’s ‘Mail on Sunday’ Who’d have thought that Middle Britain would fall@out of love with the police, quite so much. pic.twitter.com/FUEWoSPeRc
Yes. The police have largely become an alien invasive force obsessed by “anti-racism” and other current shibboleths. They seem (often) to have forgotten that their job is to serve the British people, not alien and/or special interest groups. I have blogged about my own experience: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/
There has been a backlash, though. I notice that in Hampshire, where I live, the police command has decided to close a number of the local police Twitter accounts. Most were in fact interesting and informative, but I saw a couple which were obviously out of control. One was (it is not now tweeting and will be closed within a week or so) “@WatersideCops”, covering the western shoreline areas of the Solent, close to Southampton. That Twitter account was always pumping out propaganda about various things, particularly “racism” against “Roma” gypsies and so-called “travellers”, i.e. the caravan-dwellers once known as “tinkers”. Ironic, in view of the crime profile of the area (and areas around).
Often, though not always, civilian employees of the police are to blame for nonsensical tweeting.
Oh well…”Waterside Cops” will soon have to stop tweeting nonsense and start doing their real job better.
[Update, 2 January 2021: as of 29 December 2020, “Waterside Cops” were still threatening people who mocked their silly tweets! See below:
Nothing since then, so it looks as though the above silly and impotent tweet, posted not long before midnight —hm…—, will be the swansong of “Waterside Cops” on Twitter. Byeee!]
I suppose that I should not say more at present about the continuing persecution of the singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz, the complaints against whom (like the malicious Jew-Zionist complaint made against me in 2017) have mostly been made by the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” in the person of Stephen Silverman of South Essex. Alison comes up for trial at the end of March 2021.
One has to ask, in general terms, how it is that a tiny fanatical pressure group has in recent years exercized such influence over the police of London, Essex, Derbyshire etc. Also, how it is that these Israel-fanatics are apparently welcome on LBC, Sky News etc. Well, I suppose that it depends on the (((political editors))) and on their (((bias)))…

We're all still suffering from Enoch's craziest, cruellest idea
Well, Enoch was right, in principle, about mass immigration, but as to mental hospitals, may or may not have been right. It is a complex problem. I agree, though, that he was, for all his erudition, often vain and silly.
Powell was especially silly to try to be a latter-day, and Unionist, Parnell [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Stewart_Parnell], by linking with Ulster unionism in the idea of controlling a bloc of seats in the House of Commons. Rather, he should have left the Conservative Party either in 1970 or 1974, and then founded his own party, or maybe taken on the leadership of the National Front. That really might have worked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enoch_Powell
The below is wrong at several levels. In England and Wales, 65,000 aged 65+ have died with it, plus over 7,400 working age people. Many had prior medical conditions, but we don't hold their lives to be valueless because Britain isn't a fascist state. https://t.co/ZLCoPhv2g8
Watched that excellent film, Waterloo. Rod Steiger is amazing as Napoleon, the man who changed the face of Europe even in defeat.
While watching I drank (probably too much) “blackstrap”, a mixture of cognac and port. A drink almost forgotten today, but which, before the First World War, was considered the drink of the Life Guards (officers) and (as and when permitted) Eton.
A good and warming drink, when taken in moderation.
