I was always surprised at the naive mental attitude of many barristers in respect of the society in which they live and work. One often finds that barristers are not in step with the public. Often, also, the public view is the right one, and the barrister-view incorrect or too narrow.
For example, in the Tony Martin case 20+ years ago, barristers I knew were adamant that the defendant had to be guilty of murder because one of the “gypsies” (Irish tinker “travellers”) who attacked Martin’s farm (at night, miles from any help) had been shot in the back while fleeing. The general public backed Martin to the hilt. So did I, a barrister (at the time), but then I was never a typical grey barrister-drone.
Take another case, the EU Referendum. No doubt many barristers were pro-Brexit, but (anecdotally) most favoured Remain. The public, particularly the white English public, favoured Brexit (perhaps by 60 to 40).

I happened to hear a very easy-going interview on BBC Radio 4 this evening. Nick Robinson interviewing expenses cheat, supporter of the Israel lobby —and otherwise sleazy— MP, Chris Bryant [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Bryant].
I came in a few minutes from the start, but it is clear that Robinson did not tax Bryant on any of his contentious “issues”, such as his cheating on his Parliamentary expenses, his “colourful” personal life, or (which is what really caught my attention) his considerable connection with the subversive and unpleasant Common Purpose network (for which Bryant was once a salaried manager) [see https://www.cpexposed.com/about-common-purpose]. Almost exactly the same story as that of my late mother-in-law: admitted to hospital at age 98 or 99, in 2020, with a fracture of the foot; negative for “Covid” at first, but while in hospital, after about 2 weeks, tested positive (i.e. was infected with the virus in one of the NHS’s shambolic and unclean hospitals). No symptoms either before or after the test. Discharged after another week or two, still without symptoms. Died of other causes several months later.
Had she died within 28 days of the last test, my late mother-in-law would have become yet another “Covid” statistic, another faked victim not of “Covid” but of System lies.
We are now seeing untold billions wasted on supposed “vaccines” and “boosters” re. the latest “variant” which so far has killed, in the UK, precisely no-one. Madness. Planned madness…
Meanwhile, the NHS is, at best, a skeleton service, having become a facade “national Covid service”.
I myself had occasion yesterday, though not on my own account, to visit the local medical centre, about a mile or two away.
In normal times, the centre, a pleasant two-storey building with creeper and flowers growing on the outside, is fairly busy. There are about 8 GPs. Now, GPs are apparently rarely seen by patients, and nurses dealing with ongoing routine conditions are seen strictly by appointment made by letter (in this case, 2 months before).
The medical centre reception area was deserted except for a masked receptionist. There was not one patient waiting in the large waiting area. I was there for about 35 minutes, in which time only one patient arrived, and then another just as I left.
That waiting area had been denuded of some of the furniture formerly there, and most of the pleasant large potted plants as well. Rather sad.
I do not recall Michael Buerk standing up or speaking up for my rights when a pack of Jews instigated my contrived disbarment (6 years after I had ceased Bar practice!): see

NATO (NWO) may believe that a conventional war in, say, Eastern Ukraine, or Western Ukraine, or elsewhere in Eastern Europe, will stay in its confines. That is very doubtful. That is because NATO cannot defeat Russia, not conventionally, not in Eastern Europe.
If (as all Pentagon and UK Staff College war games have shown…and probably also those of the Russian Stavka) a conventional war in that region would probably lead to the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The same war games indicate that use of tactical nuclear weapons leads on quickly to the use of strategic ICBMs. Disastrous for Europe and the whole world.
Were there ever to be a strategic nuclear exchange between NATO and Russia, the Russian state would be very badly damaged, possibly destroyed; however, so would the UK, not only as a state, but probably Britain and its people as an entity. All interesting. I myself am at least as interested in the origins of “Covid” itself etc. First in Wuhan, a large city in China most Westerners had never heard of until 2020.
In Wuhan, we were told, and heard, people were falling over dead in the street; the Chinese authorities “locked down” the city for weeks. Strangely enough, it now seems that very few people died there. China quite rapidly returned to normal.
Next, in early 2020, we hear of “the virus” in Alpine ski resorts. Really? As if someone had deliberately released the virus in the best place for its incubation, and then exportation around Europe.

For whatever reason, Dearlove backtracked soon afterwards, but recent news has tended to support the view that Covid-19 was no “accident” in a “wet market” in Wuhan, despite the widespread showing of a Hollywood film (in the UK and elsewhere) in 2020, at the same time, and about such an accident…
The UK public, along with people across Europe and the wider world, was shown film from shuttered and fearful Italian towns, and scenes from overwhelmed Italian hospitals. Suddenly, most of Europe was trapped in government-promoted fear and repression.
Today, about 21 months on, not much has changed. Lockdowns, repression, facemask nonsense, other measures. The only difference is the seemingly ineffective “vaccines” as a straw to clutch at, “boosters” etc, and a huge official PR effort in the corrupted msm.
The facts remain that, in big-picture terms, very few people have died from any of the “variants” of “Covid”. About 5 million to date (even taking the statistics as genuine). That is out of about 8 billion people in the world now. So about, very roughly, one death for every 1, 600 people. In the UK, perhaps one in a thousand.
Influenza deaths in the UK and, I think, elsewhere, have disappeared at the same time…
This is, it seems to me, a conspiracy on a vast scale. It is plainly connected with 2022-2055, the “Great Reset”, and also, less directly, with the “Great Replacement” of Europeans by non-whites.

I myself lived for a while on a small Caribbean island, a British Overseas Territory (formerly —and at least equally-accurately— called a “British Dependent Territory”), in receipt of British aid: defence aid and naval patrols, and other aid. The “other aid”, when I was there (over 20 years ago) consisted partly of a new prison, a new court building, and a (then novel) online companies registry, so that people in the UK, USA etc could set up offshore companies and trusts; Britain also subsidized the island government.
Meanwhile, said island had very poor schools, a very poor hospital, and was generally ramshackle.
For me, the whole set-up was bizarre. That island had a population, actually resident on the island, of about 8,000 (officially, about 10,000). Despite its Lilliputian size, both demographically (smaller than Henley-on-Thames) and geographically, the island had a British Governor living in Government House, and a local parliament with a Government and Opposition in the Westminster mould. The local “Government” consisted of about 8 people, the “Opposition” consisted of one person only, and there were ex-officio members too. About a baker’s dozen, all in all. All salaried, by the way.
British people needed a special visa to live on the island (including a medical certificate and a police check!), and needed special permission to buy property, but the islanders had unrestricted right to live and work in the UK!
I am all in favour, or would be, of the British Empire, but those days are long gone, sadly.

Had to drive somewhere after 1700 hrs, so tuned in to the BBC Radio 4 PM show. Jesus Christ! What a bore! It really has become quite as unlistenable as BBC TV News and Sky News have become unwatchable. Covid, Covid, Covid, Omicron, Covid (in short). Droning supposed “experts”, not one of which made the point that (as far as can be seen at present) “Omicron”, if caught or contracted by someone, merely gives the infectee a mild cold! For that, this crazed government has “mandated” more facemask nonsense, and may do more!
The other craziness on PM was around the “vaccine”, with the government spending yet more tens of billions on the —seemingly ineffective— “booster shots” etc. The whole thing is just mad.
That ghastly smug little creature who presents PM has obviously decided (or been told) to take “Omicron” at the government’s valuation. No real analysis, or cost/benefit analysis.
