Actually, that reminds me of the so-called “Ukrainian rent boys” trial involving Starmer, and which I believe has now been delayed even longer. Will be interesting to see what transpires.

As blogged previously, Starmer is trying to please both his largely Muslim —and other anti-Israel— voters and, at the same time, Israel and the UK Jewish lobby, that put Starmer into the Labour leadership, and so the office of Prime Minister, in the first place.

Not an issue that affects me personally now, though it would do were I still living in the large country house of which I had a lease in the 2002-2004 period. That house had an oil central heating system so complicated that two engineers had to come from the Midlands, maybe Derby, to tell us how to set the controls on the control panel (in the cellars), a panel that looked like something out of an old sci-fi film, or Stingray.

The oil was delivered by road tanker once a month, and they pumped enough to fill the tanks, so the price varied depending on usage, i.e. on the season.

As to the cost (and bear in mind this was well over 20 years ago), one cold January I got a bill for oil, for the month, of not much less than £700. For today’s value, I suppose you would have to add on the cost of coal and logs for the open fires (another £100 at least), then more than double it. Make it £1,600. For one month. That did not even cover heating the whole house, just some bedrooms, drawing room. library, kitchen/morning room area, Victorian conservatory, and the inner hall. We closed off many sections, including the ballroom.

God knows what the actual cost today, and/or soon, might be.

I am not a professional psychologist or psychiatrist, but I wonder what such a scientific or medical specialist would make of a patient who persistently minimizes the suffering, physical pain, or trauma of others, particularly that caused directly by the said patient, while magnifying or even inventing any trauma, inconvenience or irritation —however slight— of his or her own?

On the large scale, that is what we often see in the reactions of the Jews and Israel. The quantum of deaths (many of which are plain murder) and injury caused to the civilians of Gaza, numbered in the hundreds of thousands, and involving the death or mutilation of children and even babies, and over 2-3 years, daily, is answered by the screech “and what about the several hundred Jews killed on one day in 2023 by Hamas operatives?” [and also by Israeli free-fire protocols].

The starvation of many people in Gaza, and the death by starvation of some, is answered by Jews who either deny that there ever was starvation, or who say that “people only went hungry because Hamas militiamen took all the food generously allowed in by the Israeli Jews“, or that —in various ways— it is or was the fault of the starving children themselves, and/or of their families.

Jews (both from Israel and from countries such as the USA and UK) on Twitter/X etc often delight in adding to such comments pictures of Jews having a good time at barbecues, or enjoying the foods that form part of their quasi-religious supremacist holiday festivals.

If a school or hospital is bombed or rocketed by Israeli forces, and a Palestinian Arab platoon or military storage unit is later found there, or nearby, that is enough, in “their” psychology, to justify the “slaughter of the innocents” (usually described as, when admitted at all, “unfortunate collateral damage”).

Jews in the UK etc often deny that those suffering because of Jewish/Israeli actions are suffering at all, or if they are, are suffering by reason of their own defaults, and/or that the Israeli war machine is being somehow “kind” in the way in which it destroys people’s whole lives (for example, by dropping leaflets “advising” their victims to leave home before said home is blasted to pieces, together with the families who lived there, and their possessions).

However, if Jews in the UK, USA etc happen to see a swastika drawn on a steamed-up train window, or chalked by a child on a wall, the heavens fall, and the world almost comes to an end. The police even have to get involved, quite often, after such trivial matters are reported by hysterical Jewish organizations or individuals as “hate crime” or even “terrorism”.

I think that, were an individual person, a patient, with such traits, to present before, say, a psychiatrist, that patient would no doubt be found to have a severe case of some or another mental illness. What to say or do, though, when a whole people seems to have such traits?

I imagine that Trump will simply, at some point, when much of Iran has been flattened, declare a form of victory, then move on. The damage that a state with the USA’s level of military-destructive capability can inflict is huge, of course, but that alone is not victory (unless Trump intends to use nuclear weapons to destroy entirely the Iranians as a people, and that is unlikely, even for Trump).

I speculated yesterday, on the blog, as to whether Israelis hacked that lady’s original Twitter/X account (a day or two ago). Maybe.

I have been, so far, unable to establish Jess Phillips’ provenance going back very far, but I notice that the Jewish/Israel lobby on Twitter/X tends to be very supportive of her.

All slaughter, or virtually all, and whether human or animal, is brutal and cruel by its very nature, but as a society we must make it less cruel, to the furthest extent we can. That means, inter alia, that both halal and kosher slaughter must be disallowed. If that, in turn, means that the ethno-religious communities involved have to leave the UK, and all Europe, then I should regard that very much as a win-win.

In the real America, beyond the (Washington D.C.) Beltway, that “special relationship” concept has no traction whatsoever. I was in the USA fairly frequently from 1989-1993 and then from 1999-2002, and I never heard or saw the phrase used once, not by American colleagues etc, not on radio or TV, not even in the Press (and I bought the New York Times several times a week).

The “Special Relationship” is a largely-meaningless phrase, and always was, really, certainly after about 1956 (my own birth year but, more significantly in this context, Suez). Something with some reality, perhaps, from about 1941 to about 1956.

The phrase is only really heard from British politicians, talking-heads, and scribblers. In any case, the US/UK relationship has become a one-way street, with the USA getting all of the benefit.

Why should the lady tweeter assume that, just because someone (in this case, Dearlove) was Chief of SIS, that he really is worth listening to in his retirement, when he is making money in the private sector? As previously blogged, I remain surprised at how poor has been both Iranian air defence and Iranian public protection from aerial attack.

Makes me wonder whether that was just negligence (made worse by the fatalistic and backward influence of Islam) or whether there has been some treachery and/or sabotage within the Iranian leadership.

Russia (Putin) is being very quiet, silently counting its financial and diplomatic gains as the West generally immolates the US/UK/EU/Brit economy under Israeli/Jew influence.

Russia’s gains from the oil/gas price rises will be huge, fuelling and funding its Ukrainian military operation and much else.

That has little effect on the war. For one thing, vessels in the Strait of Hormuz can be hit by land-based missiles and drones.

We have no “war aims“, because the UK is not at war, has no reason to go to war with Iran, and no, the supposed making of a hole in the side of a shed or hangar on the RAF base at Akrotiri in Cyprus is not of sufficient importance (even if Iran did it, which I doubt) to launch yet another doomed Brit military misadventure.

Benzion Freshwater, 77, may be the biggest property tycoon most Britons have never heard of.

The London-based multibillionaire heads one of the UK’s richest families, worth £2.6bn, according to the latest Sunday Times rich list. His empire includes prime property in New York, Florida and London, including the capital’s Grade II-listed Africa House.

Since 1990, his company, Daejan Holdings, has also owned the entirety of Newton Aycliffe town centre.

What attracted this global property empire to a remote corner of County Durham? And why have they stayed on despite decades of decline and growing local anger? The Freshwater family have scarcely ever been pictured in public, let alone spoken to the media.“

Regular readers of the blog will know that I have been predicting for quite a long time that Reform UK, the “populist” upsurge party, has been morphing into a System party. For once I agree, up to a point, with both the Daily Mail and Dan Hodges, though it may be that Reform and Farage taking in the Con MP “retreads” will actually win over many former kneejerk Conservative Party voters to Farage and Reform, albeit at the same time alienating people desperately seeking an alternative, a more radical alternative.

Say what you like about Matt Goodwin —and naturally I despise his doormatting for Israel and the Jewish lobby— but it has to be admitted that he is the standout by-election candidate at Gorton and Denton. Someone of rare energy and decisiveness. If he does not win, it will not be because he has failed to try. At present, he is the favourite in the polling, and also with the bookmakers.

I myself dislike Goodwin’s pro-Israel, pro-Jewish lobby views (whether genuine or, shall we say, self-interested); I disagree with his apparent wish to dismantle what is left of the social security/”welfare” system, and to introduce an Americanized agenda even more than has already been the case; I disagree with several of his proposed solutions to “broken Britain”. However, he at least recognizes that the UK is sliding to dystopia, and needs to stop that slide.

System scribbler Dan Hodges calls that opinion poll “madness” because —like many in the Westminster Bubble— he has not quite understood the depth of deep discontent and, yes, anger which now pervades much of Britain.

The Westminster Bubblers live in, as it might be, Blackheath or Hampstead, or Kensington and Chelsea, or now-gentrified Fulham, or wherever is quite affluent, have incomes in the hundreds of thousands (in many cases), family money too (in many cases), and have never known insecurity or poverty, or even much serious inconvenience (in most cases).

Dan Hodges and the rest thus fail to see, even now, that huge numbers of British people have just “had it” with the System parties and their ranks of careerist, moneygrubbing and treacherous clowns. Hodges etc think of Reform as a bunch of clowns, but have they really stepped back to look objectively at the utter clowns of Labour, Conservative Party, or the LibDems (such as hugely-smug LibDem clown-in-chief Ed Davey)?

Yes, Reform struggles to get beyond 35%, and is now in the modest 24%-30% zone, but that is because people are not voting for Reform, they are voting against “the others”, and against everything this country has become over the past 40 years; and against what the country is fast becoming.

That opinion poll translates to a Commons with about 376 Reform UK MPs (very solid majority), 67 Greens (very weak official Opposition), 57 LibDems, 45 SNP, 42 Lab, and 26 Cons.

Incidentally, on those figures, both Kemi Badenoch and Keir Starmer would lose their seats.

I was constantly aware I should not get my phone out on the street as 80,000 were stolen last year

I also read on the way back while checking that stat that there were 90,000 shoplifting offences in London last year, up 54%

Of course, the migrant-invaders see nothing the matter with London as it now is, because where they come from is worse yet. They are from Bombay and Bangalore, the slums of teeming South Asian and East Asian cities, the ramshackle neighbourhoods of Lagos or Accra, or wherever.

Look at London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, a Muslim apostate carpetbagger in the pocket of the Jew-Zionist lobby. He himself is part of the problem, but only part.

I am very glad that I have not lived in London since 1998 (though I did live in Higher Denham, just outside London, for 6 months in 2001-2002, and worked at that time as international lawyer in London, both at Gray’s Inn, where I was leaseholder of a set of chambers, and just off Berkeley Square in Mayfair).

Ironically, my later disbarment (2016) was pronounced (by a superannuated former circuit judge chairing a 5-member panel) in the very same building where I had sat as notional “Head of Chambers” (it was actually an offshore set-up dealing with Russia, former Soviet Union, Caribbean, Brazil etc, not ordinary English Bar work), and leaseholder.

If I were to live in London today, I should probably have my Rolex watches stolen. In fact, I no longer have them anyway (sold many years ago for reasons of financial pressure, i.e. I needed the money!).

Really? The station is barely a half-hour walk away. Disappointed, I had to make do with discussing it over the phone with the officer instead. Such muggings were, he said, ‘rife’ in the capital at the moment.

He asked if I wanted to take it any further and, honestly, I didn’t. The pointlessness of reporting a crime so long after the event is infuriating – it’s a tick-box exercise, nothing more. 

The chances of the police catching a gang with my vague description of their clothes and ethnicity must be almost nil.

Ultimately, pursuing a report would mean me enduring a bureaucratic hurdle – filling in more forms online, having more phone calls. And for what?

All of this could have been avoided if there were more police on our streets, which would serve as a deterrent to these thugs. It’s futile having a police force at all in London if they can’t adequately react to something like this.

Of course, what will happen is that the existing System parties will falter and fail, but Reform UK itself will become a System party in the end, if it looks like taking power. You can already see signs of that— the Jew-Zionist/Israel lobby influence, the non-European candidates etc.

All the same, this is a great thing. The Overton Window is shifting, visibly. After Reform, there may emerge, may have to emerge, a genuinely social-national party or movement. However, the “Parliamentary road” is a limited option, because the English/British will soon be a minority in the UK.

The United States, even more than Israel, has an entitled “I can bomb you but don’t you bomb me” attitude. I well recall the scalded reaction in the USA when the World Trade Center attack happened in 2001. That only happened to other people (who, many Americans think, are scarcely people at all)…

I think that that attitude goes back at least to the Second World War, when the U.S. bombing campaign in Europe laid waste huge areas not only of Germany but of several other countries as well. At that time, there was no danger at all of any country retaliating against the U.S. mainland or its population. A feeling of invulnerability.

Farage is almost pathologically pro-Jewish lobby, and pro-Israel. That is my biggest black mark for Reform UK, and supports the theory that Reform is being lined-up to take over when the main System parties finally fall, which cannot be far off.

Ecce the Nigerian woman who will soon (next general election) be “leader” of a Conservative Party with as few as 10 MPs. I imagine, though, that her MPs will dump her by the end of this year.

Hotels much the same. I was due to speak back in 1978 at the Clarendon Court Hotel, Little Venice. As a result, the Clarendon cancelled, and I had to pay out for a coach to bus people who arrived there to my new venue, a large room with a bar over a pub somewhere near the river, not far from Dolphin Square.

As to the Clarendon Court Hotel, which had once been a fairly good place (foreign Test cricket teams playing at quite-nearby Lord’s would stay there in the 1970s), the last time I saw it, around 1990 or so, it was full of…yes… “asylum-seekers”, East European Gypsies etc. Yes, that’s right…35 years ago! That crap did not start in 2024, or 2010, or even 1997.

Incidentally, the Clarendon once had an amusing notice outside, relating to its spa studio: “The Body Feminine— Entrance at Rear“!

Ah. Just looked it up. The building has evidently been extensively remodelled, and is selling as multi-million-pound apartments, like the rest of London (even the old SIS/MI6 building, Century House, at 100 Westminster Bridge Road, near Lambeth North underground, is now “luxury” apartments).

Horrifying. A form of infanticide or even murder, in lay terms. The deliberate killing of a completely viable foetus (which after all only means unborn baby). When you consider that it is commonplace for babies to be born days or even weeks prematurely, and then go on to thrive, this proposed law, which will obviously become law now, decriminalizes the killing of any unborn child, even if done only hours, minutes, seconds even, before actual birth, and for any reason whatsoever, so long as the expectant mother does the killing. Truly horrifying.

Not sure whether the new law will validate that, exactly, because the killing will (from what I have read, anyway) have to be by the mother to escape legal sanction.

The fastest bird in level flight (top speed: 69mph/111kph), they feed on airborne insects. Swifts are in trouble because of steep declines in insects, but also because they are losing traditional nesting sites. Swifts once nested in caves and hollow trees but moved into buildings hundreds of years ago. Modern insulation, particularly in roofs, removes the crevices and cavities where they have nested for centuries.

What are the prospects for swifts?

Grim. Swift populations in Britain slumped by 66% between 1995 and 2022 and have continued a rapid downward trend. Since the last count of 59,000 breeding pairs, the population this summer is set to be just 40,000 pairs. In five years’ time there could be fewer than 25,000, unless action is taken.

A swift brick is a hollow brick that slots into the brickwork of new or old homes, providing a cavity where swifts can nest. The bricks have also been found to help other cavity-nesting birds, including the rapidly declining red-listed house martin, house sparrow and starling. Other species including blue tits, great tits, nuthatches and wrens will also nest in the bricks.

Swift bricks are made by brick manufacturers large and small, and typically cost about £35. There is a British standard for them and some developers are already fitting them to new homes.

Russia could, in theory, tell the United States that, should the US bomb Iran, Russia will bomb or rocket Israel. That would stalemate the situation, and stop the Americans from attacking Iran. It might also trigger WW3, though, and make “Armageddon” reality, both in Israel/Palestine and elsewhere.

However, Putin will not want to get Russia directly involved.

So far, Russia is winning all ways: the oil price is rocketing, gold is rocketing too, and Russia is one of the largest producer-states of both.

Also, Trump has apparently signalled to Zelensky and the Kiev regime that American military aid hitherto given to Kiev will be cut back, and priority given to the Middle East. That, as Russian forces press forward on all relevant sectors of the overall front.

Amusing to see rubbish newspapers in the UK, such as the Daily Mirror, talking about what occupations might be exempt from conscription if WW3 were to start! In the nuclear age, when immensely powerful missiles can reach UK targets in minutes (I am told, maybe 8 minutes) from launch sites thousands of miles away…

I wonder how many people actually read and believe all this 1940-cosplay?

The fact remains that, in any continental-level war, with Russia on one side, and NATO states on the other, the UK would quite soon be a charred and irradiated giant bombsite. Incidentally, I recently heard of someone’s experience in the North Kent area. Someone had a heart attack at home. His wife, an NHS employee holding a senior nursing rank, called immediately for an ambulance, using the 999 system. The ambulance arrived after one hour.

The above was not in some rural outpost, but in a heavily populated urban and suburban area.

It is clear that the NHS now offers what might be called a skeleton service. My own experience over the past decade (not, mostly, as patient) has led me to characterize the NHS as a “hit or miss” service, sometimes amazingly good, often not terribly good, not always reliable, often not even competent, and often simply ridiculous in its maladministration. A mixed picture.
