In rough terms, at the 2024 General Election, Reform scored about 2 votes out of every 12 cast. Labour got 4 out of every 12, the Con Party 3 out of every 12. In fact, 8 out of every 20 eligible did not even vote, so Labour was endorsed by only 4 out of 20.
About half of those Labour votes were cast by people who now realize that Starmer-stein lied to them about almost everything. That is why Labour (supported mainly by non-white voters) is now around the same level as Reform UK.
The unfair FPTP electoral system gives the false impression that only a tiny fringe supported Reform at GE 2024; in fact it was over 14%, and the Conservative Party, with all its money and history (and in government until the General Election) only scored 23%.

That brought to mind another Lucy— Lucy Letby. I have never claimed that Lucy Letby is either innocent or guilty of the crimes wherewith she was charged. I do not know, and have not much followed the case in any detail.
However, I did say on the blog, after she was convicted, that she seemed (from what little I had read in the msm) to have been found guilty on the basis of rather loose circumstantial evidence (which is not necessarily wrong, if that evidence is or was sufficiently probative).
Now I note that some fairly weighty opinions are saying that Lucy Letby might seriously be not only victim of a miscarriage of justice but actually innocent. I neither agree nor disagree. I have not looked at the matter in anything like enough detail. However, there lurks a feeling that, maybe, she is in prison without having actually done the crime(s).
The underlying reality is that the NHS is now largely a skeleton service, and those always loudly supporting it on ideological grounds, no matter what it does wrong, or fails to do right, are not serving either the NHS or the British public.

As for Reform, even with Con support it would still be 1 seat short of a formal majority.

I think that we can now take it as read that, barring accidents, Russia and the USA will not be getting into a nuclear war. Whatever one may think of Trump, in that respect God must be with him, to put it in conventional terms.
That leaves the European powers. The only ones of significance are the UK and France (mainly because of their nuclear weapons), Poland, and Germany (Poland because of the size of its army and its probable morale, Germany because of its large amount of up-to-date transport, armament etc).
The UK and France would be mad to try to threaten the use of or, a fortiori, deploy in combat nuclear weapons. Any nuclear response by Russia would destroy Britain utterly. As for France, the same applies, except that France is nearly 2.5x the size of the UK.
I think that what we are looking at (unless there is a real armistice Russia-Ukraine, which is unlikely) is a continuation of the war, with the UK, France, Germany supplying even more arms, armament, and money to the Kiev regime, but probably failing to plug the gap left by withdrawal of most American assistance.
If the Americans also withdraw their intelligence aid to the Kiev regime, Russian forces will find their progress in the war easier.
The Kiev-regime side is now very short of actual “boots on the ground”. It is even thinking of extending the draft to those aged 18-24, so far immune from conscription.
I cannot see the Kiev regime lasting much beyond 2026.

The reason I disagree with that (leaving aside the extra point that I never use the old and outdated “right/left” stuff) is because the original tweet fixates on the fact that FPTP voting “punishes division“. What is important is what is happening beyond the crumbling walls of the Westminster monkeyhouse.
At the 2024 General Election, over 40% of the eligible voters did not vote, many no doubt out of disgust with the whole system and the System parties.
Out of every 20 eligible voters, 8 did not vote. Only 4 out of every 20 voted for fake Labour, and probably half of those did so because a “Conservative” candidate was the only apparent alternative.
Labour’s incompetent and freeloading ministers, and its Labour Friends of Israel leading cabal, may think they are sitting pretty on their very large Commons majority but, outside the walls of Parliament itself today, 100,000 protesters were demanding the release of “Tommy Robinson”.
Robinson is “controlled opposition”, of course. So be it.
The rise of Reform UK (despite Farage’s unreliable history etc) shows anger at the way Britain is going. For Labour, and Westminster Bubble drones, to look only at numbers of seats and at the way FPTP voting distorts public opinion, is very short-sighted.
At present, it seems that, yes, Labour may be the largest party in the Commons after the next general election, but even if Reform UK fails to dislodge Labour from that position, it may well come second and thus become the Opposition. That would in itself destroy the basic structure that has been in place for over a century.
The likelihood at present (with the Con Party still embedded in some parts of the country, as are the LibDems, and both likely to get 50-100 seats next time) is a hung Parliament and thus a weak Labour minority government, though if Reform does really well, the outcome could be a fairly weak Reform government, backed up by the surviving Con MPs.
Outside the supposedly-hallowed walls of the Palace of Westminster, though, the English/British people are murmuring. The Tommy Robinson protest, the summer 2024 protests, the now-constant stream of trials of social-national people who have said or done the (politically) “wrong” things (and then been entrapped by System police, MI5, the “Clown” Prosecution Service, and the System judges) speak to underlying discontent.
Reform UK, Tommy Robinson etc, are merely part of the journey, not the destination.
There may come a time, not so far down the line, when what happens in and around Parliament becomes only the outcome of what happens outside Parliament.

I do not know who will win. At present it looks quite open, though Kamala Harris is, more than Trump, looking like the favourite.
For me, it is almost incredible that anyone could vote for a semi-educated and non-white woman such as Kamala Harris, even as compared to a man such as Donald Trump, with all his flaws.
However, one always has to consider the very low level of education and culture among the vast bulk of Americans. Also, the unbelievably naive and simplistic motivations for voting. I saw some silly old woman on TV news a couple of days ago, seriously (in her own little mind) saying that she had never voted before, but was going to vote for Kamala Harris because…Kamala Harris is a woman. That old woman voter is not alone. There are millions, maybe tens of millions, who will vote for Kamala Harris purely on the basis of her sex.
Likewise, it can be surmised that there are further tens of millions, almost all non-white, who will vote for Kamala Harris because she is non-white. The whole idea of the UN Security Council is that it consists only of the largest and most significant states which have real military power; states which are large geopolitical players and which, in practice, are also nuclear powers: USA, UK, France, Russia, China. All hold the power of veto.

“Detectives investigating an assault on a pensioner who was shoved over in a row in a west London bus queue have released a picture of a man they want to trace.
The victim, 85, was attempting to board a 220 bus at Hammersmith station when he was verbally abused before being pushed over and suffering a broken hip.
Police believe the incident at 1pm on July 2 was triggered by the pensioner insisting that women and children board the bus first which his attacker believed was holding others up.“
The train – the first of 94 new trains bought as part of a £2.9bn upgrade of one of the London Underground’s busiest lines – was being transported from the Siemens factory in Vienna when it was targeted.
The incident is understood to have happened early on Monday morning while the train was near Latchmere rail junction, near Clapham.”

Yes, that is one extraordinary aspect of the whole mess. The Kiev regime is presently conscripting only those aged 27+ (in theory, younger men —and women— can volunteer, though few now do). The result is that the Kiev-regime forces are full of the middle-aged, while those approaching the age of 27 desperately try to flee the country, or hide inside Ukraine, or buy fake exemption papers, or bribe doctors etc.
I can only assume that the Zelensky cabal has decided that the under-27s have to be exempted on the grounds that the Ukrainians are actually dying out, and more babies have to be born. Demographically, Ukraine has no future, even when compared to Russia, or to the countries of Central and Western Europe.
Having said that, it seems that younger men are being press-ganged, illegally. Zelensky’s “Ukraine” is both brutal and shambolic.
