In the late 1930s, Britain and France started to offer worthless guarantees to states in Central and Eastern Europe. When push comes to shove, what then? The USA has been pumping weapons and money into the Kiev regime’s reserves. Let’s say that Russia annexes Eastern Ukraine, where the population are heavily pro-Russian. The shambolic army and militias of the Kiev regime will be defeated. Will the USA declare then war on Russia? I very much doubt that. Obviously, the same applies to the UK. That is not even a question.
Having said that, even if the Russian leaders would prefer to achieve victory without having to fight, there is no doubt that they will fight if they have to. That applies particularly knowing, as they do, that the opposing forces are unable to resist for long, and that the USA will not want to get involved directly.
Russia would prefer to have a referendum in Eastern Ukraine (only) on whether that region should reintegrate with Russia. Such a referendum would result in a —genuinely— 95%+ vote in favour. Somewhat similar to what happened in Crimea.
The Kiev government would never accept such a referendum. It stands by its view on “territorial integrity”, but that integrity rests on a mere 29-30 years of “independence”, out of about 1,100 years. In Soviet times the Ukraine-Russia border was really just lines on a map, almost meaningless.
So there we have it. After nearly 50 years, I still have not come to a conclusion about Uri Geller, still do not quite know what to make of him. I have read one of his books of memoirs, and at least one book about him. I was at school in Sonning, Berkshire, early 1970s, when Geller had a UK television show special which was watched by many millions. Spoons were bent, clocks started after years of being broken. It was not long after that, that Geller bought a house in the village, where he lived until mysteriously decamping back to Israel several years ago.
My own inclination is to think him an amalgam of skilled conjurer, genuine psychic, and fraud, but that is only my guess. I know that several professional conjurers have gone on record as stating that they themselves knew how to do what Geller does in terms of bending spoons etc; some others have called him an outright fraud. However, I myself have heard tales which (for what they are worth) seem to support the view that he does have some genuine psychic powers.

Regular readers of the blog will know that I was never very favourable to Corbyn. Poorly-educated, not hugely intelligent, and not a defender of Western (i.e. European, or European-origined) civilization. His worship of the blacks and browns was particularly absurd, as was his Meccano-level political canon and understanding (“No pasaran!“, “Cable Street” etc).
According to his ex-wives, he never reads a book, a trait he shares with the part-Jew, part-Levantine poseur presently occupying the office of Prime Minister.
Corbyn was never really or properly “anti-Semitic” either, despite the claims made by the Jewish or Zionist lobby. He always paid lip-service to the “holocaust” farrago, for example. Also, while he may have opposed Jewish/Zionist exploitation in Israel, he never came out and opposed it vocally in the UK, France, or elsewhere (eg USA). Weak.
Corbyn was let down by most of his MPs, not least “near-beer” post-Stalinist John McDonnell, someone who “thought he could be king” only to find that he was a political mugged pensioner.
Having said that, Corbyn was conspired against from the start by an Israeli and UK Jewish cabal; as soon as he became Labour Party leader. His only chance was to go all-out for social nationalism, but he was personally incapable, constitutionally, of doing that.

Just saw a series of tweets by some crazed Jew, to the effect that non-Jews playing Jewish roles in film is “antisemitic” and should be decried as inadmissible “Jew-face”, just as it is becoming the politically-correct standard now that non-blacks (i.e. Europeans or European-race people) should not play black roles, because that is inadmissible “blackface”, even when it has hundreds of years of cultural provenance, as with Othello, the Moor of Venice. (and does that mean that only North Africans should play Othello? He is not a black African, after all). What nonsense it all is!
What about Jews playing non-Jews (Europeans)? Apparently that is OK…; also OK (it seems) is when a black plays a European (i.e. white) role. Even Anne Boleyn was recently played by a black woman, American at that!

54 years ago. I still recall the Christian names or surnames of a few of them, and a few details about them. Incidentally, I am the rather confident-looking little fellow in the second row up, third from the right, with striped tie, arms folded.
The black girl in the centre was an Aboriginal who spent part of the year at the school, and part with her family in the Northern Territory, thousands of miles away; some kind of Federal government integration programme.

Starmer, of course, is a barrister, and was in practice at one time at the criminal Bar, as well as later becoming both Queen’s Counsel and Director of Public Prosecutions.
In fact, “QC” is not quite the distinction it once was: 10% of the practising Bar now hold “letters patent” as QC. Still, let’s leave that aside.
I was always surprised at the naive mental attitude of many barristers in respect of the society in which they live and work. One often finds that barristers are not in step with the public. Often, also, the public view is the right one, and the barrister-view incorrect or too narrow.
For example, in the Tony Martin case 20+ years ago, barristers I knew were adamant that the defendant had to be guilty of murder because one of the “gypsies” (Irish tinker “travellers”) who attacked Martin’s farm (at night, miles from any help) had been shot in the back while fleeing. The general public backed Martin to the hilt. So did I, a barrister (at the time), but then I was never a typical grey barrister-drone.
Take another case, the EU Referendum. No doubt many barristers were pro-Brexit, but (anecdotally) most favoured Remain. The public, particularly the white English public, favoured Brexit (perhaps by 60 to 40).
Look at the terminally hopeless Change UK “party”. Packed with pro-Remain members of the Bar. Electorally? Nowhere.
My point is that the Bar is totally out of touch with public sentiment. MPs are also out of touch. Both intersecting groups are insulated by groupthink —as well as money— from the realities of UK life.

The UK public, along with people across Europe and the wider world, was shown film from shuttered and fearful Italian towns, and scenes from overwhelmed Italian hospitals. Suddenly, most of Europe was trapped in government-promoted fear and repression.
Today, about 21 months on, not much has changed. Lockdowns, repression, facemask nonsense, other measures. The only difference is the seemingly ineffective “vaccines” as a straw to clutch at, “boosters” etc, and a huge official PR effort in the corrupted msm.
The facts remain that, in big-picture terms, very few people have died from any of the “variants” of “Covid”. About 5 million to date (even taking the statistics as genuine). Anyone who has visited an NHS hospital in the past 18 months (as I have, several times, as a specially-permitted visitor) must have noticed that hospitals have been largely empty, the few staff almost unoccupied. There are, probably, exceptions to my impression(s), perhaps in a few large cities, but I have seen what I have seen.

The pseudo-socialists on Twitter are just me-too idiots, whose only aim is to “deplatform” those with whose views and ideas they disapprove. No ideas about society, except that everything would, they imagine, be much better if advanced white societies were flooded even more by the backward and unpleasant from the black/brown areas of the Earth. They are basically “useful idiots” for those pushing the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan.
In fact, there is a need to depopulate, but the devil is in the detail. What is needed now is for the European populations to stay pretty much at their present levels, but for there to be a large-scale diminution of the non-European populations.

Wales is small (the same size as New Jersey, at about 8,000 square miles), and has three million people. Its resources traditionally lay in sub-surface minerals and rocks: coal, slate etc, now not hugely valuable or competitive internationally.
The agricultural sector relies on subsidy, much of Welsh agriculture consisting of uneconomic hill farms.
Tourism exists, mainly in some coastal towns but also elsewhere.
An independent Wales would be a very poor little state.
Aaron Bastani’s tweet, above, seems to envisage an independent socialist Wales. It seems to me that Wales is better off as part of the UK. After all, without UK (English) subsidy, Wales would have little money to subsidize its farming sector, the coal mines are merely historical now (and part of the “heritage tourism” trade), the slate mines still exist here and there but are hardly the basis for statehood’s necessary income, and tourism could not bear the financial load of true “statehood”. What else is there? Not much, I think.
In my view, a truly independent and socialist Wales would be as poor as North Korea after a while. An extreme view? Not really. How would the Welsh Government fund hospitals, schools, and so on?
Not that it could not be done. Will is all. If the 3,000,000 people resident in Wales (many of them now English) were to vote for real independence, they could make it work, up to a point. Why not? However, they would have to accept living standards far below even the modest ones now existent.
A good example of the political, or social, or ideological cover the “Covid” “panicdemic”/”scamdemic” gives to political apparatchiki. Had those “Abos” been detained for any other reason, or under any other excuse, the pseudo-socialists, “human rights” bods etc, even the msm talking heads, would have been outraged and up in arms against it. When the Hungarian Uprising occurred in 1956, those most closely involved with the repression of the population (secret policemen etc) were caught, and some of them suffered the supreme penalty at the hands of the rebels.
Britain was once proud of its civil rights. Even during WW2, when rights were partly suspended, few openly called for the introduction of a complete police state…yet here now in the UK, we see mediocre System msm mouthpieces openly calling for a system of secret informers, denunciation of neighbours and family members, authoritarian police presence on the streets and checking “papers”, and “volunteer co-workers” helping the State to keep the population repressed.
All that, notionally, for suppression of a virus which has (supposedly) killed about ONE in every FOUR THOUSAND people in the world (1 in 1,000 in the UK)…
