Jew-Zionists often make false and malicious complaints of “racial harassment”. Several have done the same to me over the years, the latest (of which I am aware, at least) having been made by Stephen Silverman, self-styled “Director of Investigations and Enforcement at the tiny but (((well-funded))) fake charity, “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], which complaint to police about me amounted to an attempt to pervert the course of justice. I have no idea why the police let Silverman and the “CAA” get away with stunts like that. He/Gideon Falter/”CAA” have been doing it for 10+ years, not only against me but also against many others (on various legal bases)— David Icke, Al-Jazeera TV, and many many other people and organizations
That faked complaint against me, on the entirely false basis of “racial harassment”, was back in 2021. The false complaint failed, as did all the others, but was then quite wrongfully twisted into a complaint against me on a different legal basis, which eventually led to my free speech trial of 2023. See below:
I hope that P.C. Plod and the “Clown” Prosecution Service are now, even if belatedly, aware of the malicious and troublemaking character of Silverman and his “CAA” pressure group.
In the circumstances, all those convicted of “rioting”, forceful protesting, pushing against police riot shields etc etc and imprisoned should be released on licence forthwith, at the very least.

In reality, everything that has been happening in all parts of occupied Palestine relates to the plan to settle immigrant Jews everywhere, then to expand Israeli Lebensraum and to create, over time, a “Greater Israel”:
“It’s not hard to figure out why Reform is now surging in the polls.
Millions of hardworking, tax-paying, law-abiding people in this country are utterly frustrated & fed-up with the elite consensus that has been imposed on them from above for the last 30 years.
An elite consensus that’s defined by a deliberate and extreme policy of mass, uncontrolled immigration which is making us poorer not richer, is driving crime and ushering in millions of people from culturally inferior and incompatible nations.
An elite consensus that’s given us broken borders which make a mockery of our claim to be a self-governing, sovereign nation, are allowing an assortment of murderers, rapists and criminals onto our streets, and which our so-called “leaders” refuse to fix because they’re more interested in helping strangers than protecting their own citizens and children.
An elite consensus that’s ripped open our economy to a rampant and relentless globalisation that benefits an alliance of urban elites, global corporations and immigrant workers but which is smashing the working class apart and hollowing out our national economy.
And an elite consensus that would rather see Britain waste billions of £££ overseas each year on foreign aid and trying to maintain our failing asylum system than redirect all this money from British taxpayers into fixing Britain and helping British families before reaching out to the wider world.
For much of the last thirty years this broken consensus has been imposed on the Forgotten Majority in this country by both Left and Right, by both Labour and the Tories —by the Uniparty. They are the architects of the disaster that you see around you today, of the managed decline of a once great and proud nation that you used to know and love but today no longer recognise.
And so just as you’d never invite back an architect who took the home that had been loved for generations and destroyed it the people out there are now starting to reject the architects of what they see around them today —endless, unavoidable, embarrassing, never-ending national decline.
They might not think Nigel Farage has all the answers. They might not think Reform is the perfect vessel. But what unites them is a feeling that is far more powerful than any one leader or party can convey. “We want our country back”.
This is why we are now starting to see wholesale and historic change in the national polls and, soon, the country. Because what I think we might be about to witness in British politics is not just a revolt against an out-of-touch elite minority but a full scale revolution against the Uniparty and all that it stands for.”

“‘No medical evidence’ to support Lucy Letby’s conviction, expert panel finds.
Babies the former nurse Lucy Letby was convicted of murdering were in fact the victims of “bad medical care” or deteriorated as a result of natural causes, an expert panel has concluded.
Outlining what the senior Conservative MP David Davis described as “one of worst injustices of recent times”, the international team told a press conference there was “no medical evidence” to support claims of deliberate harm.
A panel of experts, chaired by Dr Shoo Lee, examined the cases of 17 babies whom Letby was charged with murdering or harming at the Countess of Chester hospital in north-west England.
Lee, an emeritus professor at the University of Toronto, saidsaid the 14 experts had found “so many problems with the medical care” of the babies and nothing to support the claim they were attacked. “In summary, ladies and gentlemen, we did not find any murders,” he told a press conference in Westminster on Tuesday.”
[Guardian]
I personally have no fixed opinion at all on the matter (and have not read up on it in any great detail), but the way that the NHS now is, I do find it impossible to ignore the possibility that the unfortunate babies in question were not murdered but simply died as a result of poor care.
Also, if the Lucy Letby convictions turn out to have been unsafe, it would not be the first time that events triggering huge public anger will have also resulted in egregious miscarriages of justice.
David Davis has courage. He would have made a far better leader of the Conservative Party than any who actually were elected in the past 25-30 years.
Britain has no proper governance, whether central or local.

“Each year, thousands of people in England and Wales are accused of crimes for which they are later acquitted. While their names may be cleared, they are often left emotionally and financially devastated – as Brian Buckle, who was wrongfully convicted of sexually abusing a child, discovered first-hand.
Rebecca Whitehurst, 47, from Greater Manchester had to find tens of thousands of pounds to pay for her defence after a pupil at the school where she taught made claims that they had engaged in sexual activity and exchanged inappropriate messages.
“Financially, it’s been the best part of £50,000,” she says. Rebecca adds that after she was found not guilty, she was awarded costs – but at the legal aid rate, which is much lower than the expense of instructing a defence barrister privately.“

“Sir Keir Starmer will be ousted as Prime Minister within a year, an exclusive poll for The Mail on Sunday has predicted – with furious voters attacking his poor handling of the economy, the NHS, immigration and the cost-of-living crisis.
Nearly a third of all Britons polled in the ‘state of the nation’ survey expect the Labour leader to last another year at most, with more than two thirds (68 per cent) saying he is doing ‘badly’, just six months into the job.
And in news that will worry both Labour and the Conservatives, one in five voters thinks that Nigel Farage will be Britain’s next Prime Minister.
Last night, one Labour MP said privately: ‘If this poll doesn’t ring alarm bells in No10, then we really are doomed.
‘Sadly, it confirms what I and other Labour colleagues are now finding on the doorstep.
‘There never was much support for Keir. But after a catalogue of blunders – from scrapping winter fuel payments to hiking taxes – what little support there was for the Prime Minister has collapsed‘.
The exclusive Deltapoll survey reveals that 69 per cent think the country is heading in the wrong direction, with the cost-of-living crisis and the state of the NHS topping the list of concerns.“

“Patients whose health has been ravaged after taking Covid-19 vaccines are calling for more support as the Government faces paying out tens of millions of pounds in damages.
Almost 17,000 claims for disability damages have now been submitted after new information emerged about the potential risks including blood clots.
...more people are coming forward to report that have suffered a severe impact, with some linking their vaccines to major problems such as blood cancer, myasthenia gravis and heart disorders.
Almost all of these payments were related to the AstraZeneca vaccine Vaxrevia which triggered a blood clotting complication so rare it was missed in original clinical trials.
That vaccine was once heralded as a ‘triumph for British science’ but came under increasing scrutiny for a very rare complication that causes blood clots and low blood platelet counts.
AstraZeneca’s withdrawal comes months after admitting in legal documents its jab can cause thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), also known as VITT.“

Look at that. It is admitted that 3.6M or more immigrants have arrived even since “free movement” within the EU ended! That was in December 2020, so that number have arrived in only 4 years! In rough terms, a million a year. Unsustainable. Catastrophic.
“Net” immigration “only 2.3M (or more, in fact more) in about the same time period, but what that means, mainly, is that about 100,000-200,000 (real) British have left every year, trying to get to places such as Australia or New Zealand, or retiring to Spain and other countries. Also, many of the more useful/skilled EU nationals have left.
Incidentally, those Brits going overseas are mostly either genuinely skilled or qualified persons, or have capital and intend to open small businesses, or (and/or) are retirees, who bring money into the countries where they settle, and mostly do not constitute a drain on resources. Quite different to most of the migrant-invaders coming to the UK, who are mostly poor, unqualified, unskilled, and who are a huge drain on resources of every kind, from shelter and housing, through education, hospitals and GP services, to police services (many migrants are petty or not so petty criminals) etc; all that and right through to alien hostiles who may be terroristic.
As to Brexit as a whole, it was deliberately sabotaged.

However much Labour is now already hated under Starmer, and despite the inherent absurdity of the “two main parties” binary political fix in England, I really cannot see the “Conservative” Party regaining much if any of its one-time support-level; in fact, I can see it declining further.
That, in turn, may give the uninspiring fake nationalism of Reform UK wings, despite the unexciting nature of most if not all of its 5 present MPs. It may be regarded by many angry/disenchanted voters as the only (protest) game in town.

Not the only such example; far from it. Google “Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan” and you will see what is behind such sentiments.
Who do the Starmer-Labour drones think will occupy those new houses, if ever built? Migrant-invaders, mostly, and/or their offspring. Already, there are huge areas occupied mainly by non-Europeans. Thamesmead, in the “******** of England”, is only one of many.
Incredibly, there are nearly 400,000 Twitter/X members still bothering to follow the “thoughts” of that useless creature, a Nigerian whose parents are NHS consultants; he apparently lives (or lived) in the attic of their house.
Actually, “Femi” [Oluwole: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femi_Oluwole] is a good example of why “points-based” immigration does not work. His parents would be (under a points-based system, had one existed in the 1980s) allowed in because (presumably) well-educated, professionally qualified etc (one a surgeon, the other a paediatrician). That, however, does not guarantee that the offspring of those allowed in will be of any use to the country!
Femi Oluwole has never yet managed to work an actual job, let alone qualify for any profession or skilled occupation, despite having attended a fee-paying school, and despite having been enabled (by his parents’ affluence) to undertake several “internships” across the UK and Europe after having been awarded a degree in law and French at Nottingham University. His longest stretch of near-work was a year or so heading an EU-funded anti-Brexit operation in London. That was about 7-8 years ago.
Femi Oluwole is now 34 (35 in March 2025) and occasionally appears on platforms such as Sky News as a talking head (every “British” TV discussion, quiz show or whatever apparently now requires at least one black, despite the fact that actual blacks still constitute only about 4% or 5% of the population).
I thought, a couple of years ago, that Oluwole was aiming at becoming a Labour MP, but apparently not, unless he tried but was rejected (I do not know).
I presume that Oluwole makes some kind of living via online clicks etc, as well as by occasional TV appearances.
Oluwole is in fact a completely useless African loudmouth and know-nothing, yet is treated as somehow relevant by Sky News etc. A sign of how sick the “British” msm really is. He represents no-one and nothing, and has nothing of interest to say.
Note: readers of the blog may see some tweets reposted as links rather than embedded tweets. A technical issue that I have been unable to resolve so far.
A few thoughts out of season
Well, here we are on Boxing Day, and a few thoughts came to my mind as I perused the online newspapers and Twitter/X.
The first arose when I saw a tweet from a Jewish individual wishing readers a “Happy Hannukah” (also spelled “Chanukah”).
In the past, not only when I was a child in the 1960s, or a teenager in the 1970s, but also in more recent decades, the public expression of Jewish religion was rather limited. I do not recall having ever seen the word(s) “Hanukkah” or “Chanukah” (except in the odd book) until fairly recently, perhaps 1990s or later. Not in England, where I was mostly brought up; and not in Australia, where I lived from early 1967 to late 1969.
I certainly do not recall this Jewish festival being pushed into the public realm in the UK or even, when I was resident there intermittently in the years 1989-1993, in the New York/New Jersey area.
Now, it is different. 10 Downing Street has had a menorah, the multi-armed candlestick of the Jews, in its window, as well as an Israeli flag projected onto the facade of the building.
We also see the words “Happy Chanukah” projected onto, of all most prominent places, Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square.
[Nelson’s Column on Christmas Day 2024]
In fact, menorah representations or sculptures, as well as Hannukah slogans, have suddenly appeared in towns and cities all over the UK (and elsewhere) in recent years.
This is in a sense strange. The actual Jewish population has not altered in size, substantially, for some years. Indeed, there is some evidence that numbers of Jews in the UK have decreased since the 1980s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Jews#Demographics.
The Jewish population in the UK is around 250,000-300,000, so far less than 1% of the whole UK population. Perhaps half of one percent. Yet their symbols have, in recent years, proliferated in public positions.
At present, the Jews are celebrating Hannukah, a religious festival of which Wikipedia says:
In other words, it commemorates, at least inter alia, military victory in the Middle East, including the capture of Jerusalem well over two thousand years ago. Put another way, it can be taken to be an expression of Jewish ethnic supremacism (the same is true of many of their festivals).
The contrast with Christmas is stark; Christmas, with its message of peace.
“Originally instituted as a feast “in the manner of Sukkot (Booths)”, it does not come with the corresponding obligations, and is therefore a relatively minor holiday in strictly religious terms. Nevertheless, Hanukkah has attained major cultural significance in North America and elsewhere, especially among secular Jews, due to often occurring around the same time as Christmas during the festive season.[8]“
[Wikipedia]
It is common to see non-Jews in the UK etc, people who are no doubt well-meaning but ignorant, conflating the two festivals, for the simple reason that they occur not infrequently at the same time of year. They are, however, quite different, and actually have no connection with each other.
That Jewish ethnic supremacism can be seen in the tweet below, showing (and approving) Israeli Army personnel lighting a Hannukah menorah in a looted and occupied home in Lebanon.
Seems that projecting political messages onto the buildings of others is a game anyone can play.
Interesting that Reform UK now has a greater number of members than the moribund “Conservative” Party. Of course, Reform is a mass movement, a grassroots movement, albeit one controlled and literally owned by a few people and, mainly, by Nigel Farage, whereas the Conservative Party is merely the rump, or fag-end, of a once ubiquitous grassroots party which (in the 1940s, 1950s, even 1960s) had literally millions of members (as also had Labour).
So 70% of UK people now think immigration is now running at “too high” a level. Only 3% think that immigration is “too low”. I suppose that that tiny 3% minority includes Yvette Cooper, Starmer, and (other) very silly people such as Zoe Gardner (“@ZoeJardiniere”), who seem to live in some alternate reality. However, those pro-migration-invasion crazies are the ones often seen on TV, posing as “experts”. Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan…
I wager that, were only white English people to be counted in that poll, the 70% figure would rise to somewhere around 90%.
A good week for me: 9/10, thus beating —again— political journalist John Rentoul, who scored a more modest 6/10. I did not know the answer to question 8.
Talking point
Though Powell would never have spelled “dependants” in the American fashion as above. No matter. The quotation is otherwise correct, and accurate in terms of Powell’s prediction. The only thing he got wrong was in the numbers. If as few as 50,000 non-Europeans were to invade the UK in 2024 or 2025, even Reform UK, even the rump of the NF or BNP, indeed even I (perhaps) would be sighing a sigh of relief.
At present well over a million a year are flooding in; about 1.4M. Only a couple of hundred thousand are leaving in the same time period, together with 50,000-100,000 Brits. That means over a million more inhabitants each year, which would be unsustainable even if they were all British, or white Northern European generally. However, a million more a year, of which many, indeed most, are useless, parasitic, criminal, or downright hostile to European culture and people, is indeed mad, just mad. It must lead to the breakdown of society sooner or later, probably sooner.
In fact, as the links clearly show, the father was “typical” in that, despite making millions out of commercial litigation, he supported not only thick-as-two-short-planks would-be black revolutionist Nelson Mandela but also the (other) terrorists (Africans and Jews) put on trial with Mandela in the Rivonia trial of 1963-64 (they intended to start a race war against white European people in South Africa). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivonia_Trial.
Incidentally, if you look at the tweets of Matthew Stadlen, which I have just been doing (for the first time, I think, certainly the first time for a number of years), you see that he is socio-politically confused. He welcomes the end of the Assad government in Syria, but lashes out at a tweet by Kelvin Mackenzie who makes the point that the 30,000 Syrians now in the UK as asylum-seekers or grantees can now go back.
Likewise, Stadlen praises the open spaces he and his dogs are able to enjoy in southern England, yet wants migrant-invaders to be allowed to arrive unimpeded, and to be housed (etc) at UK-taxpayer expense.
Meanwhile, “Tel Aviv Keith” Starmer and his thick-as-two-short-planks supposed “deputy”, Angela Rayner, prepare to trash even more of England so that hutches for migrant-invaders can be built on a massive scale.
Again, Stadlen seems irritated by the decline of London into a city of crime, violence and anti-social behaviour, but fails (wilfully, I think) to note who is actually doing the vast majority of that…
Appreciate your answering but won't pretend I understand these particular distinctions on advising. I don't think it really addresses the issues you raised in your first tweet. Seems evasive to this layman.
“So, one of the things the SRA seem to be saying – and I think this comes from the very top, Juliet Oliver, general counsel – is; – a solicitor can continue to advise a former client where a conflict has arisen between that solicitor and client – so long as the solicitor only advises the client and does not ‘act’ by communicating with third parties or the court.” [James Wilson]
I mean I could guess what sort of response the SRA would get, and what sort of epitaphs would be used against them, if they reined in what I also regard as excessive generosity.

Largan has been volubly pro-Jew-Zionist and pro-Israel. As MP, and even before being elected in 2019, he frequently tweeted against those he considered “antisemitic”, including local resident and persecuted satirical singer-songwriter, Alison Chabloz. He tweeted a few times against me, too, if I recall aright.
I have no idea whether the trustee position about which Largan tweets is paid; I expect so. He does not seem to have taken on other work since he lost his Commons seat 5 months ago. However, the entire annual income of the organization is, apparently, less than £400,000, so any payment to trustees must be modest.
Seems that Israeli and U.S. “confidential contact”, Ruth Smeeth (now in the House of Lords) is or was another trustee of this organization. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Smeeth;
Others connected with that organization are Luke Akehurst, now an MP, and sinister former MP, “Lord” Ian Austin (search for my previous comments about him via the search box on the blog). https://antisemitism.org.uk/group-members/.
Having just looked at Largan’s Twitter/X timeline for the first time in months, I notice that its tenor is that of a politician still (local elections, local events, Westminster occurrences). Can it be that he hopes to be the Conservative Party candidate for High Peak next time? That is how it looks to me.
Largan, seemingly now resident within the constituency, will have an uphill climb if he wants to get elected again at High Peak. He won High Peak in 2019 by only 1.1 points (590 votes) over Labour’s candidate, but lost in 2024 by 16.1 points (7,908 votes).
In 2024, Reform UK came in a fairly respectable third, but Labour got more votes (just) than Conservative and Reform put together. Reform can only do better, arguably, next time, and may either win or deny the Con candidate the win.
Looking at a few of his recent tweets, I find a few things on which I can agree with Largan: for example, his opinion that The Battle of the River Plate is a very good film indeed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_River_Plate.

I caught a few minutes of a BBC News “discussion”. One silly woman was talking about how most asylum-seekers are “genuine”, then gave “Ukraine” as an example. The fact is that most of Ukraine is no more a a war zone than was Northern Ireland or even mainland Britain in the 1970s. An occasional bomb. I am talking about, especially, Western Ukraine and Kiev.
As the rules now stand, literally hundreds of millions of people in the world could, in principle, arrive here and make a successful claim for asylum. Fact. Can you imagine what the UK would be like if they all came here? Impossible? As recently as a decade ago, pro-migrant drones were saying that a million a year could never happen. Now look.
Meanwhile some BBC drone was saying that migration is essential for “the NHS and the care sector”. Only because of the way our society has structured itself in recent decades.
Also, migration at a million a year— how many doctors, nurses, and care workers out of every million? The fact is that the whole NHS is only about 1.5M, and about half are white British people.
The care sector employs a similar number of people.
Ergo, most “migrants” (invaders), the vast vast majority, are not working either in the NHS or the care sector. More lying propaganda from the BBC.
Where is our society going? It becomes ever more obvious…
“Crossing Gwent Square on a cold, crisp day in Cwmbran, married couple Maxine and David Griffin have more in common with each other than they did a year ago.
In July, the Brexit supporters voted for the Reform UK party in the constituency of Torfaen; it was the first time they had both voted for the same party.
Maxine, 52, who works in a cafe, had previously voted Conservative, while her husband, 55, a postal worker and union representative, had always voted Labour.
Lack of faith in politics is a running theme among the voters the Guardian interviewed; the vast majority said they would not vote for any party.
But of those who would vote, Reform UK supporters were easy to find.
A poll by Survation, commissioned by Reform UK, put the party at 20% in a Senedd election – ahead of the Conservatives at 17%, but behind Labour at 30%.
A separate unaffiliated poll by Opinium, which was based on Westminster voting intentions, suggested 26% of voters in Wales would vote Reform compared with 24% who would vote Labour…“

Worth reading, not least because a similar trend may be seen in England as well.
“Final asylum seekers have now left the Bibby Stockholm
Most claims from 400 men on vessel moored in Portland, Dorset have been processed, with majority accepted.
A Home Office team has been processing claims from the 400 men housed on the boat. A significant majority are understood to have been granted asylum and most are expected to leave the area for accommodation elsewhere. About eight were left on the vessel when the final residents departed on Tuesday.
The local council has said that none of the men moved from the vessel will be based in other accommodation in Dorset, with reports saying they are likely to be moved to other areas including Cardiff and Wolverhampton.“
[Guardian]
So there it is. Exactly what I predicted would happen not only in relation to that barge, but also in relation to the invasion as a whole— “processing” (rubberstamping) quietly happening, with about 90% of the “asylum-seekers” allowed to stay in the UK. The rest? Still allowed to stay until removed (which will never happen to the refused individuals, or 90% of them, under System government, as now under Starmer-Labour).
That’s the way Starmer operates— dishonestly, sneakily, and against the interests of the British people. A hateful individual.
In other words, at least 396 of the 400 on that barge will be staying— c.360 because accepted as “genuine” “asylum-seekers”; the other 36 because, though not accepted as genuine even under the UK’s Mickey Mouse immigration laws and rules, they will not be deported. What about the 4 who might be deported (the report implies 8 persons)? Probably willing to go voluntarily, if given a bit of baksheesh and a free ticket.
Incidentally, note in that Guardian report that “a significant majority are understood to have been granted asylum and most are expected to leave the area for accommodation elsewhere“.
So somewhere around 360 or more single men are now going to be given hotel accommodation and, either immediately or before very long, flats or houses that should be going to needy British people. 360 dwelling units.
I don’t want to hear any bs from fake “socialists” about the housing crisis until or unless the same virtue-signallers accept that, without mass immigration, there would be no housing crisis.

“The British Economist counted about 100,000 Ukrainian servicemen killed since the beginning of the SMO . In addition, another 400,000 Ukrainian servicemen were seriously wounded. The publication reports that more than 0.5% of Ukraine’s pre-war male population (18-49 years old) died, and “about 5% were either killed or too wounded to fight.” These losses, expressed as a percentage of the population, exceed the number of US deaths in Vietnam and Korea combined and are approaching the level of World War II, The Economist notes.“
The "Sarmat" ballistic missile will soon go on combat duty, they say in Moscow pic.twitter.com/WfMflWkXFZ
For several decades after the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 (which gave both sides a shock), there were attempts, partly successful, to reduce the risk of nuclear war between East and West. Now, almost exactly 62 years later, that risk not only remains but is increasing almost daily. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Missile_Crisis.
[1962 CIA estimation of the range of Soviet missiles to be based in Cuba]
Now imagine the reverse: American missiles based in Ukraine, Poland, and other states around Russia.
The present situation is not good, and is worsening. It may only take the events of a single day to destroy most of Europe as we know it; and the events of the same or a second day to destroy large parts of both Russia and North America.
Netanyahu admits defeat to Hezbollah
🟢 The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing the heads of northern settlements, essentially admitted the inability of the Israeli army to defeat Hezbollah.
I seem to remember that, when I was last in Moscow (2007), the rouble was about 20 to the U.S. dollar, maybe 25. OK, so now it is over 100 to the dollar. Only a fifth of the value it held in 2007.
True, but things are not quite as simple as that. Most importantly, most Russian people (like most Americans) either do not travel internationally, or do so only to countries where the local currency is itself weak. I myself recall encountering a Russian family on the Aegean coast of Turkey in 2001. At that time, most tourist Russians went to countries such as Turkey, North Cyprus or, even more popular, the Republic of Cyprus in the south of that island.
Even in 2001, most Russians did not travel beyond the borders of the former Soviet Union. Most, the vast majority, now stay at home.
Likewise, most Russians do not buy any imported goods at all, and so are insulated from price increases caused by the decline in value of the rouble.
Those who are most impacted by the fall in the value of the rouble are the wealthy, very wealthy, “oligarchs” etc. However, many of those people are so wealthy that a fall of 4/5ths of the notional value of their (Russia-based) assets is almost unimportant, they have so much money (as is the case with the oil sheikhs and rulers of the Middle East).
On the macro level, the fall in value means that Russian products and produce are price-competitive internationally. In any case, Russia is now doing much, perhaps most, of its trade with the “BRICS” states, not with the EU or North America etc. Sanctions, of course, apply to much of Russia’s pre-2022 trade with the West.
Pro-Kiev regime tweeters on Twitter/X are crowing at the weakness of the rouble, but the noise simply amplifies their own ignorance.

Pictured here is small polytechnic moot court-tier Courtroom Two of Blair's 'YouKay Supreme Court'. It is particularly naff in context because it is housed inside one of London's greatest under-appreciated buildings, the Edwardian Middlesex Guildhall of JS Gibson. https://t.co/tPHTVQuvzApic.twitter.com/55RzIPIbY0
I appeared as Counsel there once (actually a 3-day trial), in early 1994, when it was still Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court. The courtrooms then were very pleasant pre-WW1 panelled rooms, not at all like the —as I now see— fairly bland UK Supreme Court one.
It was my first (and one of few) Crown Court criminal trials, a “section 18” GBH with intent, which carries a maximum life sentence. My defendant, had he been convicted, would have been sentenced, probably, to 5 or 6 years in those days, he having thrown hot oil over the “victim”, then stabbed him twice with a chef’s knife. Happily for him, he was acquitted on self-defence, a result I had thought was a 50-50 possibility, though the defendant himself was sure that he would be going down, and for several years.
I remember it well, not least because a friend at the Bar (who already had a good criminal practice) later remarked, on being told by me that I had done my first full Crown Court trial, resulting in acquittal, “oh, so you got him off?!“, to which I replied, modestly, “well, he got off…“, to which his rejoinder was “no, don’t put yourself down.” Kind words. Actually, I think I did OK, in a rather green sort of way…

Now on 2.8M signatures. It will have no direct effect, and Starmer may well even weasel out of a debate but, from the wider political point of view, it underlines the unpopularity of this ridiculous and nasty “Labour” government.

Yes this mystified me. This is not true representation. What are they trying to achieve? Result, inaccurate marketing, sceptical of the product. In fact I often boycott products whose advertising fails to deliver accurate representation.
No need to be “mystified“. There is a transnational conspiracy to import blacks and browns into Europe, especially, arguably, into the UK. The idea was formulated by an evildoer called Coudenhove-Kalergi, and the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan has as its aim the extermination of white Europeans, and their replacement by a mixed white/black/brown population, to be ruled over by Jewish and part-Jewish persons: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalergi_Plan; and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_von_Coudenhove-Kalergi.
Wikipedia may call the belief that the Plan exists, “debunked“, but you have to bear in mind that the Jewish/Zionist/Israel lobby has a whole programme going to vandalize Wikipedia. The malicious so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] even advertized on its website a few years ago for volunteers with Wikipedia accounts to “edit” (vandalize, change for socio-political reasons) Wikipedia.
Look at the UK Prime Ministers of recent years. “Boris” Johnson, part-European, part-Jew, part Circassian Turk. Theresa May, part-Jewish. David Cameron-Levita, mixed European and Jewish. Look at the recent Conservative Party leadership election. Main candidates who were part-Jewish (Tugendhat), African (Kemi Badenoch), probably European/British but married to a Jewish spouse (Jenrick), mixed European/African (Cleverly). All members of Conservative Friends of Israel.
Indeed, look at Starmer: European (Brit) but married to a Jewish woman; all his Cabinet are members of Labour Friends of Israel.
The fact is that TV ads of that sort are basically socio-political propaganda; the selling of products is, in reality, secondary. Some companies as good as admit the fact. Look at the recent Jaguar car ad.
Another point is that such ads are not aimed at people of my age (68), or those of 50, 40, or even 30. They are aimed at younger people, and indeed at children, whose critical faculties are unformed, and who, seeing such ads, will come to see (or so the propagandists believe) racial-mixing, and production of mixed-race children, as normal.

The human cost of war, perhaps, but is this really a “war”? More like the sadistic crushing of a civilian population by a huge and mechanized machine of destruction. The Gazan civilians are almost defenceless.
