Historical note

On 20 July 1944, military and civilian backstabbers, with varying motives, attempted to kill Adolf Hitler, and to take up the reins of state in the German Reich.

The plotters varied both in their motives and behaviour, some principled and, at least in their own minds, patriots of a sort, others unprincipled and/or out-and-out traitors. Some exhibited courage, others cowardice.

History is not black and white; it must be open to discussion, dissent, and revision, which is one reason why the quasi-mediaeval laws banning such revision in several EU and other countries (sub nom “holocaust” “denial” laws) are so wrong.

Today is only the 19th of July, but I may not publish a blog post tomorrow; we shall see.

One of the biggest problems Australia has always had, especially since the retirement of Sir Robert Menzies [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Menzies] has been the very poor quality of its senior (and other) politicians.

Menzies, above all, supported suitable European immigration to Australia after WW2, but opposed non-European immigration, a wise dual-aspect policy that was changed by and after Gough Whitlam’s government of the 1970s. Disastrous.

Not that, in retrospect, Menzies himself always made the right decisions. Even Menzies made very bad strategic errors, really.

I recall a prison escape by bank robbers in the 1970s, in Leicestershire. When recaptured, one of the robbers was seen to have had the s**t kicked out of him, his face black and blue. Believe it or not, he was then charged with “criminal damage to a police boot” (using his face or head)! Talk about adding insult to injury.

I have no idea whether that ludicrous charge was later dropped. Maybe. Things like that happened sometimes in the days when the police were the charging authorities, i.e. before the Crown Prosecution Service was invented (1986).

Incidentally, my own (and only) contact with the underwhelming Essex Police was in 2017, when the usual malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” Jew-Zionist(s) made a typically false/malicious complaint against me. It went nowhere, of course (though was inconvenient…so the bastards owe me one…not the only one, though).

Another “conservative” in hock to the Jewish lobby (LBC itself is owned by Jewish interests), who (in his case) lives in a luxury farmhouse in East Anglia, has a comfortable home in London as well, and makes hundreds of thousands of pounds per year. Yes, his own life will not be impacted by the migration invasion. He therefore prefers to be a traitor to the British people and their future.

Dale’s discussion there reminded me of the “Mrs Duffy moment” that sank Gordon Brown at the 2010 General Election. Both Brown and Dale refuse to see what is right in front of all our noses. Who, in that radio discussion, is the “dinosaur“? Dale, I think. Either dinosaur or cliche ostrich, head in the sand.

Does Dale have any idea about what is happening in the country, the UK, on which he purports to comment?

Incidentally, the appalling behaviour of many Afghan men (especially) is not confined to the Taliban; indeed, some of the Taliban are better than some of the others.

“THE heartbroken family of a man with Alzheimer’s say they feel ‘betrayed’ after a woman they employed to care for him stole ‘treasured’ and ‘irreplaceable’ items from the family home.

Rachel Goodman, who has a similar previous conviction, was said to have ‘exploited the family’s vulnerability in the most callous way possible’ after she admitted stealing sentimental items.

The defendant avoided immediate jail time when she was sentenced at Weymouth Magistrates Court.

Goodman, 54, was employed by Louise Woollam to care for her husband Richard, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, at their home in Shillingstone, near Blandford.

A court heard how the incident had such an impact on the family that Mr Woollam, a former RAF pilot, had to be placed in a care home.

The court heard Goodman stole items such as a diamond engagement ring which belonged to Mrs Woollam’s mother, earrings brought for Mrs Woollam by her husband, sunglasses, a watch, a snorkel, bedding, a throw, money – and a 250-year-old family heirloom.

Goodman, of Eastland Road, Yeovil, has 13 previous convictions, which includes conning an elderly woman out of £3,500 and for which she received a suspended sentence.

A victim impact statement read out in court by prosecutor, Christina Norgan, on behalf of Mrs Woollam, said: “My trust and security has been completely shattered by Rachel Goodman. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease which has already taken so much from us.

“She exploited our vulnerability in the most callous way possible. I could not go to work as I could not trust another carer in my home. I feel betrayed and broken-hearted.”

Kenny Sharp, mitigating, said: “Maximum credit for an early guilty plea. This is a person who is struggling to come to terms with the reality of what she did. Immediate custody would have a significant impact on her two children.“

The defendant was handed a 12-month custodial sentence suspended for two years. She must also complete 12 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and 200 hours of unpaid work.“

Morning thought

Saw a few minutes of some TV propaganda piece featuring Starmer-stein and Rachel Reeves. She is so much of a robot that she puts previous political robots, such as “the Maybot” (Theresa May) into the shade. Rachel Reeves strikes me as a human tick-box, most of the time. There seems to be nothing in between a robotic impression and a meltdown impression, as seen in the Commons yesterday.

Many years ago, I wanted to visit Sukhumi, a small resort in Abkhazia, north of Adzharia , which resort was developed under 19thC Tsarist rule, but unfortunately there was considerable civil war damage after the collapse of the Soviet Union; at any rate, I never did go there; neither have I ever been to Batumi, an autonomous part of Georgia.

Yes to more English/British children, but no to more children from non-whites resident in the UK.

Even that does not tell the whole story, because quite a high proportion of the grandmothers, or grandfathers, or both, of the remaining 66% are in fact also non-white, non-European.

About 1,600 babies are born daily in the UK. Only about 400 of those are actually English/British, or fully English/British.

As an outsider, not involved in secret activities, I have always been sceptical of the value of the SIS/MI6 apparat. I still am. Where are the successes? (and it is no answer to reply that they have to be kept secret).

Looking at Steele’s tweet, I might bat back at him the same question, but about his own activity— cui bono?

I have just looked at a few recent tweets by Steele. He is, it seems to me, in danger of becoming obsessed by the idea of Trump as Russian secret (or not-so-secret) agent.

Reform has probably fallen back a bit by reason of two factors: its kneejerk pro-Israel, pro-Jewish lobby pronouncements, and the perception (seen in comments by pro-Reform Matt Goodwin, as well in some by Tice etc) that Reform wants to radically cut back the Welfare State.

As for the Conservative Party, probably damaged beyond repair now. 14 years of terrible misgovernment in almost all if not all areas, and now “led” by hopeless Nigerian woman Kemi Badenoch.

That is because Starmer-stein and his cabal are not really a Labour government, except in terms of label; they are a Labour Friends of Israel regime. Starmer, Rachel Reeves, Liz Kendall, all of that rubbish lot.

High Peak is an unfortunate constituency. First they had Conservative Friends of Israel MP Robert Largan (2017-2024), now they have Labour Friends of Israel MP Jon Pearce (2024-). The difference is mainly the party label.

More seriously, Basic Income is the way forward. Akin to Pension (Guarantee) Credit, but rolled out to every (real) English/British citizen (i.e. not fuzzie-wuzzies straight off the boats).

The rest of that thread is unintentionally funny: some Labourite cretin fantasizing about how much better this fake-Labour government would have been had either Liz Kendall (WHAT?!) or (Jesus H. Christ!) Gloria de Piero had become Labour leader! The latter, incidentally, was the useless and brainless TV presenter who became a “Labour-lite” MP in 2010, stepped down as MP in 2019 (knowing she would not be re-elected) and is now, thankfully, all but forgotten.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloria_De_Piero].

I do not know much about Rod Stewart, but I get the impression that he is someone who does like to give someone a chance. Starmer-stein has had his chance, and continues to do things that make him and Labour either hated or held in contempt, or both.

Needless to say, for me, Reform UK is underwhelming, not really “national”, and is pro-Jewish lobby, pro-Israel, pro-finance-capitalism etc, BUT also the only game in town to crush the existing System party set-up that has been around for so long, certainly since the 1930s, and effectively since about 1900 if not prior to that date.

For me, it scarcely matters that Reform UK is itself basically a germinal System party, because its role is to chuck Labour and Conservative parties into the dustbin of history. After that, we shall see…

Ha. If only! The Russians have rather painted themselves into a corner with the “Nazi” stuff. The fact is that the Kiev regime is basically Jew-Zionist, and allied to Israel. There has been a trend in Russian propaganda in recent years of being rather silly, especially around the “neo-Nazi Ukraine” stuff, and so on. Also, the pro-Stalin and “Great Patriotic War” nostalgia stuff.

It does not surprise me that Starmer-stein is morally corrupt, and the same goes for quite a few of his MPs (and the “Conservative” ones). What has slightly surprised me over several recent years (since about 2009, when I returned to live full-time in the UK) is how utterly clueless, totally ignorant, so many MPs are, including Cabinet ministers and, indeed, Prime Ministers (Starmer-stein, Liz Truss, Boris-idiot, Theresa May, Cameron-Levita, Sunak, even Gordon Brown).

Unsurprising. A party led by a Nigerian woman who is only here because her parents came to London for her birth (at that time, 1980, anyone born in the UK could later apply for a British passport). Kemi Badenoch is not really British at all. Until she was about 16-17, she had only been here for a day or two after her birth. She was brought up in Nigeria and then the USA. She is alien.

Apart from that, though, imagine a party (“Conservative” by name) which apparently intends to help Starmer-stein, Rachel Reeves, and Liz Kendall pass their social security/”welfare” cuts package, so cruel and unfeeling, and so unnecessary.

Huge amounts of money are wasted on all sorts of nonsense, such as the nuclear-weapons-carrying fighter-bombers the UK is apparently going to waste money buying from the USA. Do the cretins pretending to run this country really believe that Russia, as it now is, wants to invade Western Europe, even invade the UK? The idea is ludicrous.

Meanwhile, the only invasion that matters is continuing: 500-1,000 across the Channel most days now, with a further ~5,000 coming in “legally” as (supposedly) “high-skilled” workers (who never leave), spouses, fiancees, tourists (who never go back), “students” (who never go back) etc. Also, births to non-Europeans already here (about 1,600 births a day occur in the UK, of which the majority now are non-white). Call it a total of about 7,000. Every day…

People spend 13, often 16, sometimes as many as 20 years, in full-time education in this country, and most know FA. Truly radical change needed.

Dystopian London, on the island of strangers

Just look at that. Near-Central London. A citizen is attacked by an untermensch from God-knows-where. No station staff are around, no passers-by try to help much, or at all. The “island of strangers”, as Starmer-stein recently called it (and he ought to know— after all, he helped to bring it to birth…).

Eventually, the police do arrive, and arrest the untermensch, who struggles violently. At least that’s one detained, but how many more tens of thousands (or more) are still out there? What, anyway, will happen to that one? A suspended sentence for attempted robbery? Only a wall, and a squad, will eliminate that sort.

I know that underground station, the District/Circle Line station at Earl’s Court. In bygone days, mid-1970s and up to mid-1980s, I would go there from time to time, then walk to the now-defunct and disappeared Kensingston Rifle and Pistol Club, then located in a hidden place (unseen from the street) behind a caravan sales place at the junction of Warwick Road and Cromwell Road. The site is now yet another Tesco “superstore”.

I used to enjoy going there. Good company. Just me and my Browning. Actually, the other members were OK, if hardly the life and soul of the party. Mostly middle-aged civil servants and unspecified professionals, plus a policeman or two (I remember one policeman whose ambition it was to be on the training team for the police; as I recall, Met. Police, but the training zone was outside London, in Essex; he wanted to get paid for doing his hobby, in effect). The actor, Peter Wyngarde, was there too.

At the clubhouse bar, I used to drink rum and pineapple, mostly, but the secretary had bought a job lot of old Carlsberg Special Brew, and sold it half-price, so sometimes that as well or instead of.

Blair’s and Major’s kneejerk anti-gun laws killed off pistol and rifle clubs like that, but at least we no longer have gun crime! Oh, no, wait…

In the American phrase, “what a cuck!“… Tice really is.

If that Nigerian waste of space props up Starmer-stein, then she will be left with three MPs and a dog next time round; she will be gone anyway by then, though.

Restaurants are visibly struggling and often hideously overpriced

I had dinner in a neighbourhood where the average rent is £3,663 per month while half of all local social housing has gone to people who were not even born in the UK

I was constantly aware I should not get my phone out on the street as 80,000 were stolen last year

I also read on the way back while checking that stat that there were 90,000 shoplifting offences in London last year, up 54%

My train back —delayed—was suddenly changed at the last minute with all passengers on board.

They were told it would no longer be stopping at all stops.

I bought a tin of instant coffee on the way home and it had a security tag on it

Maybe I’m in a bad mood and perhaps it’s amusing to think how somebody of my political outlook is “triggered” but to me there is a deeper point here

Of course, the migrant-invaders see nothing the matter with London as it now is, because where they come from is worse yet. They are from Bombay and Bangalore, the slums of teeming South Asian and East Asian cities, the ramshackle neighbourhoods of Lagos or Accra, or wherever.

I am very glad that I have not lived in London since 1998 (though I did live in Higher Denham, just outside London, for 6 months in 2001-2002, and worked at that time as international lawyer in London, both at Gray’s Inn, where I was leaseholder of a set of chambers, and just off Berkeley Square in Mayfair).

Ironically, my later disbarment (2016) was pronounced (by a superannuated former circuit judge chairing a 5-member panel) in the very same building where I had sat as notional “Head of Chambers” (it was actually an offshore set-up dealing with Russia, former Soviet Union, Caribbean, Brazil etc, not ordinary English Bar work), and leaseholder.

If I were to live in London today, I should probably have my Rolex watches stolen. In fact, I no longer have them anyway (sold many years ago for reasons of financial pressure, i.e. I needed the money!).

Even were I to hit the Euromillions lottery, and so be able to live in a Nash terrace at Regent’s Park, I doubt that I should bother.

Really? The station is barely a half-hour walk away. Disappointed, I had to make do with discussing it over the phone with the officer instead. Such muggings were, he said, ‘rife’ in the capital at the moment.

He asked if I wanted to take it any further and, honestly, I didn’t. The pointlessness of reporting a crime so long after the event is infuriating – it’s a tick-box exercise, nothing more. 

The chances of the police catching a gang with my vague description of their clothes and ethnicity must be almost nil.

Ultimately, pursuing a report would mean me enduring a bureaucratic hurdle – filling in more forms online, having more phone calls. And for what?

All of this could have been avoided if there were more police on our streets, which would serve as a deterrent to these thugs. It’s futile having a police force at all in London if they can’t adequately react to something like this.

The United States, even more than Israel, has an entitled “I can bomb you but don’t you bomb me” attitude. I well recall the scalded reaction in the USA when the World Trade Center attack happened in 2001. That only happened to other people (who, many Americans think, are scarcely people at all)…

I think that that attitude goes back at least to the Second World War, when the U.S. bombing campaign in Europe laid waste huge areas not only of Germany but of several other countries as well. At that time, there was no danger at all of any country retaliating against the U.S. mainland or its population. A feeling of invulnerability.

Hotels much the same. I was due to speak back in 1978 at the Clarendon Court Hotel, Little Venice. As to the Clarendon Court Hotel, which had once been a fairly good place (foreign Test cricket teams playing at quite-nearby Lord’s would stay there in the 1970s), the last time I saw it, around 1990 or so, it was full of…yes… “asylum-seekers”, East European Gypsies etc. Yes, that’s right…35 years ago! That crap did not start in 2024, or 2010, or even 1997.

Incidentally, the Clarendon once had an amusing notice outside, relating to its spa studio: “The Body Feminine— Entrance at Rear“!

Ah. Just looked it up. The building has evidently been extensively remodelled, and is selling as multi-million-pound apartments, like the rest of London (even the old SIS/MI6 building, Century House, at 100 Westminster Bridge Road, near Lambeth North underground, is now “luxury” apartments).

Re. Labour’s recent supposed “stunning victory” in the recent Hamilton by-election (Scottish Parliament): when you look at the figures, Labour won but with only 31.6% of the vote. The SNP vote fell markedly (unsurprisingly) to 29.4%, and Reform UK, which had not previously put up a candidate in the constituency, came in a close third, with 26.1%; all three main candidates were within a band of 1,400 votes.

The Conservative Party got only 6%, a huge fall from its previous vote, and the six other candidates (including the LibDem) lost their deposits.

Saw a few minutes of an interview on Sky News with the truly ridiculous Nigerian woman now supposedly leading the Conservative Party. She came out with the ridiculous statement that Israel is fighting Hamas as a proxy war for Britain!

Of course, we knew that she is a member of Conservative Friends of Israel, but she is a total puppet, even compared to Starmer-stein and his Labour Friends of Israel government. Like a ventriloquist’s dummy.

Apart from that, she seemed unwilling to answer the questions posed about Israel’s disgusting behaviour in Gaza. In fact, like many blacks, she seems to think that the more, and the more emphatically, and the louder, she talks, the more intelligent she seems. In a word…no.

If the Conservative Party retains this massive bad joke as “leader”, it will face electoral collapse.

I have been puzzling for some time regarding the ideology, if any, of GB News. Pseudo-nationalist, obviously largely “controlled opposition”, willing to help move the “Overton Window” re immigration, the failed “multicultural society”, immigration and migration invasion etc, yet painfully pro-Jewish lobby and pro-Israel.

GB News even allows the mendacious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA” Jew-Zionists to spout their lies unopposed, as does the “does anyone actually watch?” Talk TV (now online only). Why? (especially since “Slitherman”, the chief spokesperson for the “CAA”, was exposed several years ago, in open court, as a serial online troll and harasser of others, mainly women).

So I was interested to see the following tweet from Matt Goodwin, former academic, who is now more or less a Reform UK propagandist and, more recently, also a GB News presenter and commentator:
