Yesterday, on TV news, I think BBC, a story about the energy crisis in the UK. The reporter went into a cold, dark, unlit, unheated house to talk to a weird-looking middleaged woman sitting wrapped head to toes in a blanket. My first thought was “virtue-signalling loony” and (quelle surprise), what did the blanket-wrapped loon say, when asked about retail costs of heating and lighting? “I’m not worried about the money…it’s not about the money“… in other words, the crazed bitch was making a screwed-up point about “Ukraine”, and Russia, and “eco”-something-or-other.
In other words, that woman was not being forced into sitting in the cold and dark, but was doing it because she wanted to both feel “virtuous” and also to be seen on the BBC doing it. What a crazie! A form of contemporary self-flagellation, like “refugees welcome” idiocy (which she probably also supports).
2. This morning, I was just buying a few lottery tickets somewhere when a very fat young woman wearing a cloth facemask came up to the cash till and paid for a takeaway coffee.

Was just watching one of those Michael Portillo rail journeys on TV, Vienna to Trieste. Interesting. Vienna railway station looks better now than the old one that I saw a couple of times in the 1980s.
More interesting to me was when Portillo mentioned that, in the several decades before the First World War, the population of Vienna had increased by 5x, but that the Jewish population of Vienna had increased by no less than 35x! That explains much.

Jack stated in the Guardian a couple of weeks ago that she’d spent the money given to her for campaigning on drink and expensive sideboards. That was money people like I gave her to make a difference, not to waste. When did she last campaign on anything poverty related?
I don’t sleep at night, I’m busy caring for someone seriously ill and working out how to stay afloat. I gave to Jack thinking she’d help people like me, I feel so much better knowing my money went on booze when it could have done good elsewhere or stayed with me.

Actually, the “mental health” defence is quite clever because, first of all, it enables “Jack Monroe” to do more or less as she pleases— take money from the naive and well-meaning, drink herself silly, take drugs, spend money (mostly donated) like a drunken sailor etc; secondly, it gives a “reason” for the above defaults and, thirdly, makes any critics (or even those just trying to get their money back) seem like “bullies” and “trolls”.
When “Jack Monroe” closes down her Twitter account (as she has done at least three times even in the last few months) her supporters blame “trolls“, “bullies” etc, rather than noticing that, that way, she can avoid answering embarrassing questions about her extraction and misuse of money…
I see plenty of the well-meaning saying that “Jack Monroe” should stay off Twitter, and/or get “help”. Why would she do that? It has been Twitter, and her whole social media facade, that (together with msm promotion) has built her “career” as a supposed champion of the food-poor, and has given her (via Patreon etc) an income of —at least— several thousand pounds a month and possibly as much as £40,000 a month, but probably around £6,000 a month.

“Defend” from what? “Defend” from whom? The historical and/or traditional enemies of the UK —France, Germany, Spain, Denmark— are now not enemies and unlikely to replay that role.
Forget “allies“, if by that is meant any states, in Eastern Europe etc, “allies” by reason only of belonging to NATO. They are not really “allies” at all.
The only System-suggested “enemy” on the horizon is Russia, anyway. The old Soviet Union was a genuine threat, to the UK, to the whole of Western Europe. The new Russia cannot even (yet) defeat the forces of Ukraine, let alone mount an attack on NATO territory, which would involve fighting the armies and airforces of the Baltic states, Poland, Germany, and France, among others, long before Russian forces got to within any close distance to the UK.
Apart from that, the whole Soviet ideology was (overall) aggressive and expansionist (they claimed not, and that they were mainly or entirely defensive). It might be more accurate to say that the Soviet political protocol was defensive, but that their military protocols were mainly geared to the swiftly offensive.
Whatever the truth of that, the fact is that the Russia of 2023 has no wish to take over Western Europe, and no Marxist-Leninist ideology to underpin any such wish. The whole idea is ludicrous.
Russia may want to take over Eastern Ukraine, possibly even the whole of Ukraine, together (maybe) with a few other bits and pieces such as the “state” of Moldova, but no more. It neither wants to go further nor is even capable of going further. Realpolitik.
Meanwhile, while NWO/ZOG political drones such as Ben Wallace fulminate against Russia, and feed arms and money to the Jew dictator Zelensky in Kiev, Britain is falling to pieces internally, in every way, and thousands of non-white migrant-invaders are landing on our beaches weekly, even daily, with no opposition from our Army, Navy, or Air Force, nor even from the completely useless “Border Force”.

When I myself had serious problems with HMRC, a decade or so ago, which problems stemmed in part from as long ago as the early 1990s, I found the HMRC to be a stunningly-incompetent, shambolic, almost insanely-run organization, to an extent that I quite frankly found hard to believe. “Kafka-esque” would be an accurate description.
Some HMRC employees were also very unpleasant. I think that many were sacked about a year later. I had a great deal of trouble from that “organization”, but in the end they just gave up, and told me that the matter was being treated as closed. No reason was given. They just went away, to put it politely.
Strange. I have often found in life that, when I am confronted with a serious problem, am threatened, and look as if I shall be unable to defend myself, I am then saved by some force or grace that often seems to pass all understanding. Organizations are defeated or give up, evil people are restrained, or become bankrupt or, indeed, die, in fact.

Happened to see the blog article below by one Kristine de Abreu, which is about the “Tibetan monk” known as “Lobsang Rampa” (actually, an English plumber from either Plympton, Devon, or Swanage in Dorset): https://explorersweb.com/lobsang-rampa/.
Amusing and interesting, though I already knew most of the basic facts, and had known them since the late 1970s.
Around 1978, I had several “Lobsang Rampa” books in paperback, and I knew at least one other person who also owned a number of copies. In fact, even the first book by “Lobsang Rampa”, out of twenty, sold hundreds of thousands of copies, and many of his works went through numerous printings.
I reproduce the concluding part of the blog article:

Still, as the Dalai Lama has apparently pointed out in respect of Lobsang Rampa, even a book or other cultural item that is largely untrue can have at least some positive results, certainly some large-scale results either way. Look at the history of the Mormons. A basically fake religion which, however, created Salt Lake City and various other things of value, such as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Come to that, what about the Turin Shroud? The Roman Catholic Church does not endorse it as “true” (as the shroud used to cover the body of Jesus Christ), but endorses it only as “an aid to faith”.
In fact, much of what most people think of as “History” (with a capital “H”) is not 100% or (in some cases) even 50% accurate. Examples include the two revolutions in the Russia of 1917, the story of British Empire (in the past thought of as almost-immaculate, but now often —and even less accurately— judged by many silly people to be a long-term disgrace). Then there is the story of National Socialism, Hitler, and the Second World War, but we cannot even start to consider that here.
Life is a great deal more complicated than many prefer to believe.

I've been looking at Monroe's recipes for a long time now. Some of them are ridiculous and no one in poverty that I've ever known would waste 15 ingredients and £1 from their paygo meter to cook them.

Most horse racing in England does not involve cruelty these days. There have been many advances in the care and welfare of horses over the years, though minor improvements are still necessary. I myself remember, when aged about 21 (1977-78), the sections of the M25 in Surrey still largely unbuilt. At that time, I lived near the top of Reigate Hill, very easy walking distance from what is now the roundabout/interchange at Junction 8 of the M25. The M25 running east from there was nearly finished, but the bit running west was still being constructed.
Indeed, as a child (early/mid 1960s), I recall an England almost entirely devoid of motorway. In many respects it was better that way, though I concede that that may be regarded as a “Little Englander” or even “Luddite”, point of view.
When the motorway system was put in place, driving long distances became much easier. However, a certain character was lost, and that loss continued and deepened in the 1990s and up to the present day, made worse by the cancerous growths of new housing projects (“boxes for people”, if you like). I suppose that anyone under 40 —or even 50— would struggle to understand, though.

Let us take the probably-mistaken idea that “Ukraine is winning” to the max, to the reductio ad absurdum. Let us suppose that the forces of the Kiev regime expel Russian forces from all of pre-2014 Ukrainian territory, including Crimea. What then? Does Russia, or Putin, just accept that? Is that the end? I think not.
Ukrainian forces cannot cross the borders of Russia, even marginally, without provoking not only a response from the Russian Government but also from the Russian people, who would then be “triggered”, as people now say, to defend “Holy Russia”, their native land or “rodina“.
For the first time since the incursion/invasion of 2022, the Russian Government would then enjoy almost-unqualified public support in fighting the invading forces of the Kiev regime.
It is unlikely, though, that the Kiev-regime forces can in fact expel Russian forces from Ukrainian or former Ukrainian territory. Russia has a far greater population, a functioning economy, vast economic resources, and a nuclear backstop.
The logic seems to be that either Russia prevails in the present conflict, or that it is pushed out, only to then return with far greater numbers and might within a year or two.
In the end, Russia will annex Ukraine east of the Dnieper, whatever happens in the meantime. Unless a major East-West hot war starts first.

As I blogged yesterday, it looks as though no breakthrough will be made on either side until after the thaw of the spring gives way to summer. I still have in my mind my dream (blogged about a few days ago) about 1 July being the start of a war, perhaps one involving the whole of Europe.
In the meantime, I am assuming that the Russian forces will continue to degrade the infrastructure of Ukraine in the major centres, particularly Kiev area.
Peace talks have effectively been ruled out by the Jew Zelensky. The pre-condition for even a limited ceasefire seems to be that Russia gives up all territory within the pre-2014 Ukraine borders, including Crimea. For Russia, that is unthinkable. After all, even if the forces of the Kiev regime were to achieve total victory, they would be in no better position than if Russian forces were to withdraw now. That being so, there is no incentive for Russia to withdraw now, even were it willing to do so.
The NWO/ZOG centres are now funnelling arms to the Kiev regime on a scale thought impossible 11 months ago. Russia will probably thus be pushed into a massive offensive when summer comes.

I have little time for either of them, but “Jack Monroe” is pretty close to being an outright fraud.

Frequent users of Wikipedia who are even less technically-competent than me may like to know that it is possible to switch from the new format back to the far better one that was in use for the past 12-13 years by going to “Preferences” on Wikipedia (once logged-in) and choosing “Appearance“, and then (under “Skin“), “Vector Legacy (2010)“.

What that says to me is that, if the Russian forces can take the whole of Eastern Ukraine (Ukraine east of the Dnieper), the Kiev regime forces will find it hard to recover that territory by any combination of external force and internal “resistance”. External force alone would have to accomplish any such mission.
It may be that that is why Zelensky wants hundreds of tanks, the ideal force for such a mission.
In the east of Ukraine, outside the Donbass, Kharkov is the major city (the largest in Ukraine outside Kiev itself). If Kharkov can be taken and held, the rest of Eastern Ukraine outside the Donbass consists of sparsely-populated countryside with a relatively small number of small cities, towns and villages.
All the same, Kiev is the prize, for strategic, historical, and propaganda reasons.
The “West” (NWO/ZOG) is escalating the Ukraine conflict by stepping up supplies of arms, ammunition, other supplies too; also, by providing technical military training in the UK and elsewhere.
God knows what the ultimate consequence will be; quite possibly a massive nuclear conflict across Europe and beyond.

I recall that, when I first lived in the USA, in 1989 or 1990, the first US Navy ship to go mixed-sex was deployed to the Gulf. An aircraft-carrier, I think. The sailors did not object to nearly 100 women sailors joining the crew, but their wives certainly did! With some reason: when the deployment finished, it turned out that about 90 of the —less than 100— women on board had been made pregnant…
As for the Royal Navy, it matters little now, because the Royal Navy scarcely exists as an effective force. Apart from the paucity of ships, there is the question of the quality of many of the officers and men.
I happened to see about 15 mins of a documentary about a British warship. About a third of the complement seemed to be women. The junior officers (men and women) seemed to be incredibly dim, and rather wet (in a non-oceanic way). Drunk, too.
As for the crew, their shore leave in Italy ended with many drunk and near-incapable. Admittedly, rather an old naval tradition, but it was unpleasant to see, especially, the female members of the crew so drunk that they were unable to walk, falling into the gutter in their short skirts, just as they presumably did in the “left behind” UK towns from where many of them must have originated.

A pretty good assessment from a few months ago, not seen by me until today. In fact, it echoes my own feeling from long before, that the “Harry and Meghan Show” was even then becoming a big bore for most people on both sides of the Atlantic.

Once they have exhausted their fund of royal stories and whining, they have literally nothing of interest left to offer the public, either in the UK or USA. Of course, by that time, they will have several hundred million dollars or pounds, but as far as I can see, Harry has burned his boats with his birth family, and particularly with his brother. As for the Mulatta, she cold-shouldered her own birth family long ago, and has nothing to lose.

Jack Monroe hasn’t been vegan for some time. She seems to have gone in a completely opposite direction, with recipes using the cheapest meat possible, and no regard for animal welfare. There are so many great vegans out there to quote from. This is too important to get wrong.
In my opinion, tweeter “@Eastenders2004” is almost certainly “Jack Monroe” under one of her many Twitter aliases. Looks like she really has hit the bottle, the cocaine, or the non-prescription painkillers hard today.

Terrible though it may be, Russia’s choice in 2023 and 2024 will quite possibly resolve into that of either losing tactically in the south and southeast of Ukraine or of completely destroying the main cities of Ukraine, meaning Kiev, Odessa, and Kharkov, and prioritizing that over the destruction of the Kiev-regime forces in the field.
Whether that will be the opening of a wider war between Russia and NATO is an open question. If so, the UK may be finished in almost every way.
The msm has started to report the absolute epidemic of persons, not infrequently even young people and/or sportsmen, dying suddenly, usually from heart attacks, but is still not correlating those deaths with take-up of the “Covid” “vaccines”.
I blogged a while ago about my own two younger brothers (two and three years younger than me, so in their early/mid sixties), one living in the London area and one in Sydney. Both lifelong and avid golfers, in one case also an amateur player of team sports, both “vaccinated”, both “boosted”, and both taken to hospital last year as emergency cases, having suffered heart attacks (and neither ever having had any history of heart or circulatory problems).
As already blogged, both of my brothers had to have heart by-pass operations (one a triple by-pass), and both did recover, but compare that to me, who has had a fairly or even very sedentary lifestyle for the past 13-14 years, and who takes no real exercise, though I do try to eat a relatively healthy diet most of the time, drink only modestly these days, and do not smoke (or, needless to add, abuse illegal drugs in any way).
Admittedly, I have done regular exercise in the fairly distant past, pre-2000— swimming a mile every couple of days (for much of the late 1980s and also the 1990s); Taekwando (mid-1980s); snorkelling; almost-daily running (late 1970s); trekking in Ireland and Wales etc (late 1970s, 1980s, 1990s); also, occasional other exercise in the 1980s and 1990s (parachuting, scuba etc).
Having said that, no-one who saw me, or a photo of me, in the past 10, maybe 20, years would imagine that I had ever done any exercise! Neither have I had any “Covid” “vaccination” or “booster”; in fact, I have actively resisted the official “invitations”.
I have never had “Covid” (or maybe I have, for a few weeks only, last year…not sure), and I have —as yet— not collapsed with a heart attack; I doubt that I shall.
In a way, it is incredible that “Jack Monroe” ever built any sort of public following, looking at the food she usually produces, and the obvious fakery around it (“I can make food for 11p!” and “I can feed a family of four well on £20 a week” etc).

The issue is that many of the donations were to help food banks, but she spent them on booze and sideboards. And the patreon fees weren’t gifts, they were in exchange for exclusive content etc, which never materialised. She blocked those who requested refunds.

Exactly. “Jack Monroe” is a kind of stage character, but purporting to be real, despite everything being fake, meaning her “backstory”, her lifestyle, her ever-shifting sexuality, her very limited cooking skills, her behaviour, her fluctuating politics, and indeed her very name.
I'm so sorry that you've all been sucked in, you didn't deserve this but you've all played your part in this circus I'm afraid.
As blogged previously, the typical “Jack Monroe” supporter is over 50 and probably over 60, probably though not necessarily female, not “poor”, not “struggling”, white English or Irish, or sometimes Scottish, and in many cases —though certainly not all— with mental health problems. I have yet to see any of “the young” (say under-30) or any non-whites, or anyone genuinely “poor”, supporting her. “Reasonably comfortably-off Guardian and Observer readers” probably covers most of that waterfront.
The UK is so screwed now that it is hard to believe. The social care sector is disordered to an extent that is much worse than a bad joke, because far too serious; as for the NHS, it is plainly not functioning properly; nor is it administered properly. It is really not good enough for some people to keep bleating Owen Jones-style trivialities about “defending our NHS” etc. “Our NHS” is to a large extent a disgrace now.
