@navier_tokes. I believe that psychiatrists, as well as neurologists, promoted lobotomies and electric shock treatment, and the use of barbiturates. I should have thought it a good thing that they were scrutinised by independent journalists. https://t.co/DFrk06OrvB
@stepehndgh . Why do you *still* not get it? If the ban on e-scooters is lifted, we've lost the pavements and the parks for ever. Who do you think is going to enforce the Highway Code or anything else? The police!!?? Pull the other one. Write *now* to your MP. Keep the ban. https://t.co/T85nmjcpn2
Big Dope has emulated all the behaviours and propaganda of Big Tobacco(It's healthy, really! Nothing to worry about). But for Big Dope, this bilge has worked. 1/2 @stuart_nimmo. Please do explain how the standard loose cloth face-mask with great gaps on either side and holes in it the size of an Olympic stadium protects against aerosol transmission. I long to see the RCT. https://t.co/bbHLpBq6XK
Remember: tweeting, blogging etc are all good, as far as they go, but we shall not remove the enemies of freedom, culture, and our future, by those means alone.
Ah. I had actually forgotten that the ludicrous Olympics pleb-fest was happening. In Japan. “Virtually”: few spectators and visitors, and now even some of the expected participants are not there. Make the whole nonsense a computer game and dependent on a roll of the dice.
Then they told us that if we did all of the above, created a "covid marshal" position within our business and downloaded the Government tracking app, that we could have our lives back.
They told us that if we did all of the above, got to "zero cases" after savage lockdowns and a vaccine was brought to market, that we could have our lives back.
Just one more lockdown. Just six more months. Just wear masks. Just put off your travel plans for two years. Just cancel your wedding for the fifth time. Just accept that you can't hold a funeral for your relative.
Just accept that you will be tagged, tracked and traced forever
Well-meaning stupidity on the part of the rank-and-file, but the high command has obviously been captured by enemy forces, as has happened to the National Trust, RSPB etc. Sad, to have to regard those and other great and once national charities as having been turned into centres of ideological treachery.

The usual confusion when people start trying to squeeze actual facts and policies into the outdated but ingrained “right”/”left” straitjackets.
Left vs right doesn't mean anything right now. It's authoritarians vs everyone else. Problem is that the authoritarians could be in the majority right now. #fascism
Exactly. The former “socialist” or “Left” people now have little or nothing to say. No policy. No principle. Only a farrago of “woke” nonsense based around “anti-racism”, “anti-sexism”, “LGBT” etc.
Their biggest thrill? When they can get someone expelled from Twitter or, even better, cause someone to lose a job or profession, after having been denounced by the Twit-mob. The Jew-Zionist element is behind much of it, but the pseudo-socialist element is similar in its activity.

The big move at last: I was wondering how long it would be in coming. This is at least a major part of the push towards the NWO/ZOG post-2022 society of the next 33+ years. The System controlling the very life and livelihood of all humans, starting with the advanced Western societies.
It may not work out as they think, though. The same forces made a different push as 1989 approached (an attempt to abolish old-style socialism, capitalize the Soviet Union, China etc, destroy Arab/Muslim power and all geopolitical enemies of Israel).
That plan succeeded in part, but not completely.
The Soviet Union was broken up and “capitalized”, and China was “capitalized” (though not entirely, in that the State retained the overall control; also, a nationalist element was retained).
In the Middle East, the Western ruling circles managed to contrive wars and civil wars, playing on existing Arab/Muslim tensions. The wars against Saddam Hussein, the stoking of the existing Syrian conflict, the abolition of Libya as a serious or semi-serious state, all gave Israel a great deal of geopolitical protection.
All that “worked” for the international conspiracy (or consensus, if you like). However, the “plan” was derailed in part when two things happened. Firstly, the upsurge in Arab/Muslim Islamist activity, most strikingly when the Islamists attacked New York City in 2001. That brought in a new factor, in that it became clear that New York and the USA, as the ZOG/NWO heartland, was not invulnerable (though the NWO and ZOG tried to turn that event around by “weaponizing” the event as an excuse to invade both Iraq and, later, Afghanistan).
As to Russia, the break-up of the Soviet Union allowed Russian nationalism, suppressed to some extent in Soviet days, to break out and, indeed, to enter official policy [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Dugin].
At first, after 1989 and especially 1991, Jews flooded into Moscow from the USA, UK, France. Carpetbaggers. They exploited the country and its people terribly. Meanwhile, the (almost all Jew) “oligarchs” such as Berezovsky, Abramovitch and others were looting by the million, by the billion.
Putin’s rule, though very imperfect, is hugely better than was that of drunken corrupt Yeltsin and his Jewish clique.
Russia has been rearming both actually and morally: no more do young Russian girls see their best career option as being high-priced prostitutes, and there has been a recovery of national feeling generally, though foreign Jews still infest much of the economy.
The UK is a key part of that plan. Look at recent prime ministers: Blair (suspected part-Jew), Cameron-Levita (part-Jew), Theresa May (suspected part-Jew), “Boris” Johnson (part-Jew). Look also at the present Cabinet and Government generally: Jews, part-Jews, Pakistanis, Indians in most of the most important roles.
So it can be seen that the plan for 1989-2022 has partly succeeded. Now we see an intensification of “control” throughout the Western world and beyond. That is their aim for 2022-2055. That, and the destruction of white European society and culture by making all the countries of Europe mixed-race, and by continuing to vandalize white European culture and history. .
As I have often blogged, the trade unions long ago ceased to be about collective bargaining, protecting workers’ real rights etc, and have morphed into politically-correct mere advice centres and System drone-factories. Useless.
Many deluded people imagine that “if only those in authority would deal with” this, that, or the other (in this case, migration-invasion of England), whereas in fact the System wants migration-invasion, because it supports the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan: white genocide. It’s an international conspiracy.
Yes, the “panicdemic” has exposed rafts and layers of delusion in the British population that even I would not have believed. The “rabbits” wearing facemasks while walking or cycling alone (some even in deserted countryside!), the crazies who ritually put on their facemasks as soon as they exit their cars in supermarket car parks, the idiots who have stayed at home eating and drinking themselves to death for about 19 months now.
Having said that, I was out and about yesterday in a supermarket, a chemist’s, and a filling station. I wore a facemask in none and, despite over half the people seen shopping still wearing their muzzles, not one censorious look came my way from even one idiot, let alone any comment. I also noticed that few of the staff serving me (and only in the supermarket) were masked. We’re getting there…
When a local System political drone posts a tweet which exposes her utter stupidity!…Not only that, but her facemask muzzle is cloth, in other words completely useless (because the holes are 500,000x the size of Covid-19 particles). Asinine bitch.
Reminds me of what a Soviet person said to me in 1987 or 1988: to the effect that, if paid enough, the Soviet Union would take over the Northern Irish “Troubles” and end them for good. It was a kind of joke, of course. His other one was that UK convicts could be shipped to the Soviet Union to do their time and he would “guarantee that the Soviet Government would turn a profit on the deal“! Well, he was in a position to know, having done 5 years (reduced from 10 when Stalin died) in a labour camp north of the Arctic Circle.
Indeed, most people don't understand that we are undergoing a revolution as they would expect to see tanks and a visible enemy – the 'marshmallow' veneer is but a mirage though, and will no doubt melt away in the near future..
Once again, the Jewish Chronicle propaganda newspaper has to pay out for having defamed someone.
Occasionally, I see tweets by all sorts of mentally-disordered persons about me, including how I allegedly “defame” this or that Jew, System MP, msm drone, and/or other incompetent. Sometimes such tweets urge others to sue me. In a few instances, even the said Jews, mental cases and/or incompetents threaten to sue me. Those tweets make me smile, and sometimes laugh.
When I was a practising barrister (until 2008), I was not very active in the fields of libel and slander, but was asked to advise on such issues from time to time. The only matter that got as far as trial (in the High Court) was some years before I was Called to the Bar.
Not permitted, as a mere (belated) student, to speak, I advised during the two-week trial via notes passed to Flegon by his “assistant”, a dark and nervous Jewish girl. I myself had to be absent much of the time, sometimes because I had to attend tutorials at the Inns of Court School of Law at Gray’s Inn, not too far from the Royal Courts of Justice.
On one occasion, I sent a note to Flegon, who was addressing (and wasting the time of) the judge. I then left the court. Apparently, the judge then asked to see my note! Fortunately, the judge liked what he had read and told Flegon that he would be well-advised “to listen to what your adviser has written to you“!
Flegon was awarded (by a civil jury) £10,000 damages, plus costs. My first “case”, and my first “judicial commendation”!
Reverting to me as potential fantasy defamation defendant, I fear that, in the American phrase, potential claimants have a “sad row to hoe” and a steep hill to climb.
For one thing, while it is possible to launch a defamation action on a no-win-no-fee basis, that really only works where the case is both more than arguable, and also where the defendant has assets sufficient to satisfy at least the claimant’s costs, as well as any damages.
In my case, I admit that my assets are few. That impecuniosity is however a suit of armour for me. I am, in practical terms, “unsueable”.
In theory, a defamation action could be launched against me, with the aim of getting an injunction to restrain me from defaming XYZ person or persons. However, I would fight very very hard. I know the law pretty well (even now, though I admit that I am rather rusty), and would have no compunction about using every avenue open to me, including appeals.
Beyond that, most of that which idiots describe as my “libel” of others is not “libel” at all (eg because in law “mere insult”), or even where prima facie “libellous” is true and justifiable, or is published as justifiable opinion, or is published otherwise lawfully and justifiably.
I wish that tweeters would learn before they tweet, not only about law but in general.
Still, if anyone wants to lose a couple of hundred thousand trying to pursue me, that is their business…they would lose out even if (which I doubt) they were to meet with success in court.
So far, and after many years, no-one has even tried, and only one or two have even threatened (unconvincingly, at that).

Laurence Fox is, in his own person and in his political flounderings, a socio-political morality tale. Virtually lynched for making a few unexceptional and unexceptionable points around free speech, he soon became a minor aspect of “controlled opposition” to the System.
Fox is unwilling to stand up for real free speech, and not once has the bastard ever said a word supporting or defending the real champions of freedom of expression in this country, those who have suffered greatly for standing up for Europe’s future: Jez Turner, Alison Chabloz, and (if I myself say so) me (among others).
No word of criticism of the Jew-Zionist element has crossed the lips of Fox, yet that alien element is not only behind much of the assault on free speech, but also behind much of the present migration-invasion.
Fox has even set up his own joke political party, which decided not to stand a candidate at Batley and Spen recently, because it might harm the Conservative Party vote!
Now this individual begs to be let back in to the System msm, and so pledges fealty to the contemporary decadence…

He talks so much rubbish and he never feels compelled to substantiate or delineate his reasoning behind any of his grandiose pronouncements and conclusions. And once he leaves the sinking ship HMS Starmer people on the left will welcome him back with open arms. https://t.co/DJzSjWduRd
I have blogged about Paul Mason previously. When he writes about economics, he can be interesting, but when he writes or speaks about politics, he is ludicrous. His political viewpoint seems to be a kind of anarcho-syndicalist/Trotskyist/general “Leftist” mixture which leaves both history and good sense far behind.
Why does Mason support Jewish-lobby puppet, Keir Starmer? Well, that is an open question. Mason is part-Jew, like Owen Jones and other msm talking heads, so that may be part of it. There again, it may be that Mason thinks that “mainstream” Labour is still the only political game in town apart from the equally-misnamed Conservative Party. He may therefore imagine that he can perhaps influence Starmer-Labour, and so rescue himself from being a fringe commentator.
For all I know, Mason may even harbour ambitions to become a Labour MP and then something more, such as, in time, a major Labour Party figure. Who knows?
That may seem to be absurd, but perhaps less so than “Boris” becoming a Cabinet minister and then Prime Minister…if one political bad joke can rise high, why not another? An excellent riposte here to another person mindlessly expounding the silly view that ‘scientist’ means ‘wise person who cannot possibly be wrong or have his opinion questioned’. https://t.co/QtTaWXLNNy
Another myth is that a scientist is, ipso facto, honest. We have seen enough fakery around the “climate change” narrative to have a different view. For example, that scientist (whose name I forget) at the UN IPCC (and University of East Anglia) who colluded with the Indian at the IPCC to falsify data, so that the public would believe the “climate change” narrative more readily.
That was about 13 years ago, about the same time as said Indian claimed that the Himalayan glaciers would cease to exist by about 2015, leading to the Ganges, Brahmaputra, Indus and other rivers running dry. Not yet, anyway.
Many will recall the Al Gore film, An Inconvenient Truth, with its claims that, inter alia, “climate change” caused the Aral Sea to dry up (no, it was caused by the mad diversion of rivers in order to support cotton production: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aral_Sea).
That is without even starting on certain “historical” untruths…scientists are not necessarily any more credible than historians, when they depend on certain “narratives” for their careers, publishing etc.

The sort of rabbits that go around wearing facemasks are really the weak-minded who do what they think the mob wants. “Everybody” does it, think they. In fact, I would go so far as to say that if you see someone masked or muzzled when the law does not mandate it, that person can probably be written off as a free or independent thinker.
Glad to see that I am not the only person awake! Ouspensky [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._D._Ouspensky] once had an experience in the street in which he perceived that all others in that street were actually asleep, not really awake…
I was in Australia for 3 years in the late 1960s, and attended school there (Middle Harbour PS and North Sydney Boys’ High). I have come to understand that basically Anglo countries such as Australia and the UK are held back by their basic philistinism; in other words, by their prioritizing of mass spectator sport and mass TV rubbish over thinking freely.
Thus, the System can easily impose a biosecurity police state, or import millions of backward people from Africa, Asia, Caribbean, without the slightest serious challenge from the people, because what matters to the (so far) majority white population is not spirituality, philosophy, history, good government, even logic, but winning some televised sporting pleb-fest on the other side of the world.
Legal action cannot usually be taken against a bankrupt, but the issuance of proceedings for legal action in this case preceded the bankruptcy petition.
It will be recalled that I blogged prolifically about the supposed legal action (in harassment, I think) being taken a couple of years ago by Twitter twit, “antifa” cheerleader and mental case Mike Stuchbery against Tommy Robinson. It never was likely to happen, as I said from the start. Now, it cannot. A bankrupt cannot usually be sued, as noted. Also, there would be no point in suing “Tommy Robinson” now, even if it could be done.
I suppose that that one will have to be filed with Stuchbery’s other fantasy libel actions (against stray Twitter users, a number of Danes who laughed at him, and against me!). He loves the idea that he might “clean them out”…
Never mind, he can also send me (yet another— he sent a couple in the past when he forgot to take his medication) would-be intimidating comment on my blog comments page. They made me laugh (which is “the best medicine”, it is said; not that I need any).
Stuchbery, with “Resisting Hate” Twitter troll Roanna Carleton Taylor (“@witchofpeace”, aka “@antifashwitch” and now “@oilpaintwitch”) launched a GoFundMe appeal to pay for action against “Robinson”. A Pakistani one-man solicitor firm was supposedly going to issue proceedings. As I guessed would prove to be the case, from the beginning, it never happened.
I still sometimes idly wonder what Roanna Carleton Taylor, Stuchbery, and the Pakistani did with the nearly £12,000 they were given (by a total of nearly 700 “antifascist” mugs). It certainly was not spent on legal work. It seems that the Pakistani drafted only one very short and very poor “letter before action” to Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Tommy Robinson’s real name), which letter may not even have been delivered.
'pingdemic' is fucking peak twee english trivialisation. infuriating that editors continue to confront the reality: it's unmitigated infection not the app that is massively disrupting everyone's lives, livelihoods, health and sanity.
Possibly yet another Twitter user with mental health problems. I do not know. The “virus” infects many people, but only a tiny number have any symptoms; only a few (an even smaller proportion) need any medical help at all. A tiny tiny number die from or “with” this virus.
My 99-y-o mother-in-law only knew she had it after having been routinely tested while in hospital for a fracture; oh, and she contracted it in hospital, where all patients were constantly masked, an indictment of both the appallingly-poor hygiene in NHS hospitals and the uselessness of facemasks; she was discharged weeks later, still without symptoms.
My 20-something Australian niece (working in London) contracted the virus last year, but only required a few paracetomol tablets and a few weeks of rest. I know of no-one else at all who has knowingly contracted “Covid-19”.

I suppose that if you were to call Jews, blacks, South Asians, even Roma Gypsies or Irish tinker “travellers”, “a terrible race” who should be restricted to one child per family, you would probably soon find the Jews (especially) or others making malicious complaints to the police or others about you; you might even find yourself a defendant in court, charged under some Mickey Mouse law such as Communications Act 2003, s.127. Not, though, if the people described are white British people, and not if the person saying the offending words is Bill Oddie, or Jo Brand, or some Jewish talking head or scribbler…
Incidentally, Bill Oddie is not exactly sharing a hutch in one of the new “British” neo-slum areas with a poverty-stricken multikulti population. No, he lives in Hampstead, where the negative effects of the multikulti society can be insulated-out by those with enough money.

— The Jewish Chronicle (@JewishChron) July 8, 2021
Well worth reading by all British people.
Stephen Pollard, Editor of the Jewish Chronicle, disliked what a tweeter previously unknown to him had written (tweeted) about the very obvious Jewish influence and control over the Labour Party (under puppet-leader Keir Starmer, though it was equally true under Blair and Brown).
So what did Pollard do? Accept an opinion on Twitter as “free speech” or “freedom of expression on matters political (etc)”? Oh, no no! He turned snooper, found out that the tweeter was an accountant, then took it upon himself to write to the chief of that person’s firm, in order to get the tweeter sacked (which, it seems, was what happened).
Pollard seems to have had no regard at all for the possibility that that tweeter might have others dependent on his earnings. Well, what does one expect from “them”, really?…Compassion? Hardly…and for a Jewish supremacist, criticism of Jews is the worst imaginable crime, bar that of actually noting the fact that an individual is Jewish…
Pollard actually is a straggler in that regard. Alison Chabloz was sacked a number of years ago from her job with a German cruise line after she was stalked and harassed by a certain Jewish woman from North London, and others. It was after that persecution that Alison Chabloz became noticeably or more “anti-Semitic” online, in fact.
Come to it, I myself was disbarred in 2016 after a pack of Jews made complaint against me (in 2014), based on some tweets I had tweeted. In my case, I had left the practising Bar in 2008 anyway (so in reality had no job or profession to lose), but even knowing that did not stop “them”. Oh, no no…they wanted their pound of flesh. Not just my disbarment, but the msm publicity that followed. Pour encourager les autres. Subtlety is not their metier, in most cases.
Anyone unaware of the matter can just google “Ian Millard barrister”! At least for the msm story. The Jewish Chronicle (under Pollard) also featured my disbarment.
As for the tweets that had me disbarred (after an impeccably fair-seeming but actually completely rigged process), they numbered only five in the end. They were all true, and have all stood well the test of time.
For example, I called the then President of France, Sarkozy, something like “a corrupt gesticulating little Jew”. The most recent news I heard about the little bastard (in fact apparently only a half-Jew, so I was wrong to that extent) is that he was on trial for corruption alongside a Jew businessman…
Oh, and one of my other supposedly “offensive” tweets was about Michael Gove, to whom I referred in some such terms as “a pro-Zionist, pro-Jew, expenses cheat“. All true of course. At that time, Gove had not yet been publicly exposed as a cocaine abuser and drunk. He was even filmed drugged or drunk in the House of Commons a couple of years ago; swaying and staggering! In 2016, only his cronies in the Westminster Bubble knew about all his long-term cocaine abuse (especially when he was an influential journalist, paid well by the Lugenpresse or, if you like, Judenpresse).
Actually, I am waiting to see why his (I think part-Jewish) wife, Sarah Vine, is divorcing him. More drink and drugs? Women? (seems unlikely). God knows what will emerge…
Sarkozy, Gove, and others (of a far lesser prominence). It’s almost as if those whom I dislike come to premature or bad ends. Co-incidence, no doubt.
I have been watching the dramatization of the life of Queen Victoria. Very good, and unlike most such docu-dramas, does not leave out the major political and socio-economic currents flowing at the time. Very intelligently planned, and finely-acted.
As always, there are imperfections. In the double-length episode I saw today, some lady was playing a piece by Rachmaninov on the piano, though the name of the composer was not mentioned. Anachronistic, in that this was set around 1850. Rachmaninov was born in 1873! So the TV people got it wrong by about 50 years!
Dramatized history is ever thus. In fact, other episodes of Victoria were also rather loose with the historical truth, as when Drummond, the secretary of the Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, is shot in mistake for Peel. That did happen, but not at all as shown.
The series was based on a book by A.N. Wilson, who is a readable writer, but not always a good historian. I once read one of his books which was so replete with historical inaccuracies that I was surprised that no-one at his publishers had corrected them. In fact, I reviewed the book on Amazon UK, where I was a “top 50” reviewer, but the Jew lobby had all my reviews removed from Amazon some years ago.

Europe is dwarfed by the burgeoning power of China. In every way— population, overall economic strength, military might. Even the USA is now challenged. The response by the USA (as well as Europe and Russia) to that challenge will define what the second half of this century, as well as succeeding centuries, will look like.
I agree. There should have been also, a mass civil disobedience to the facemask nonsense, with businesses openly ignoring the so-called “rules”. Businesses have almost all cravenly submitted to the Government diktats, so screw them.
🌳 Today we are talking all things sustainability! We want to know how you would like to see the Palace of Westminster become a greener, more sustainable building. 🌳
Not to my knowledge @michaelrosenyes. But I have a suspicion that some young persons may have joined the Mosleyites. I think you take my point, anyway. https://t.co/BwcZuXeNgP
Batley and Spen Labour Party by-election candidate Kim Leadbeater runs away from Muslims (and others?) who do not want their young children taught about lesbianism etc. She is said to be a lesbian.
This must damage her campaign, especially with Muslim voters.
I note that System politics website Politics for All is careful to note that Ms. Leadbeater is “Jo Cox’s sister“. Labour is still hoping that the sympathy vote (if it exists), 5 years on, will win the by-election for Ms. Leadbeater. I have no idea whether or not there actually is, or ever was, a “sympathy vote” for Labour arising out of the assassination of the MP Jo Cox by a dissident in 2016. Now? Doubtful, though Ms. Leadbeater is obviously helped by her local roots.
Labour is totally desperate. I wonder, though, what real impact the Conservatives are making at Batley and Spen. All the noise is about either Kim Leadbeater or George Galloway. Is that the Conservative tactic, to keep quiet, and let Galloway bleed Labour of Muslim votes, rather than the Conservatives making noise and so perhaps triggering at least some white voters to vote Labour? Or is that too Machiavellian?
Looking at the past decade, and leaving out the rigged by-election of 2016, the Conservatives have been between 30% and 40% at Batley and Spen [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batley_and_Spen_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2020s], Labour between 42% and 56%. If most of the Muslim vote abstains or votes for Galloway, that must take Labour down to somewhere around 30%. That gives the prize, probably, to the Conservatives. If most of the Muslim vote abandons Labour, and many 2019 Labour white, i.e. English, voters also abandon Labour, then the Conservatives will win easily.
I cannot see Galloway actually winning. He would have to get almost all of the Muslim vote and quite a lot of English votes to do that. Never say never, of course, but it is very unlikely. Having said that, I started off thinking that he might get 5%, then thought maybe 10%. Now I am wondering whether he might not top 20% or more, but the truth is that I am guessing.
Brexit opened up a vast new swathe of the country for the Conservatives to conquer. Labour must stop fighting the wars of yesteryear and realise that the battle has moved to entirely new terrain | Sam Bright@WritesBright@BylineTimes#BatleyAndSpenhttps://t.co/53KKhpGb8b
Having now read the above article, I cannot say that I am much impressed. I have (if I say so myself) made the same points previously, and better. The point about whether a Conservative Party MP would be better-placed to attract central government support in a Conservative Party-dominated Parliament is a good one, though again one that I have myself made several times in relation both to this by-election, the recent Hartlepool one, and generally.
I have never been to the Batley area. I have no idea what kind of personal popularity Ms. Leadbeater has. She seems very odd to me, at times leaping in the air as if at one of her gym classes; and despite her entourage, she seemed frightened when being challenged by Muslim anti-LGBT etc people. Of course, she is not a politician, as such, and has been parachuted in (for all that she is local) to try to capitalize on the supposed “sympathy vote” (which I frankly do not believe exists anyway).
I can see that there are logical reasons why voters in the by-election might vote Conservative; I can see that there are ideological reasons why voters, especially Muslim voters, might either vote Galloway or abstain. I can see no reason why many voters, English or Muslim, would vote Labour in the by-election.
Suspect now the abuse of Kim Leadbeter’s been caught on video Labour will finally be forced to condemn it. But remember, for the last week, the Corbynites and the Labour leadership have been pretending this hasn’t been happening. And branding those who have reported it racists.
A supposed leading political scribbler, but he cannot even spell properly the name of the candidate…
I don’t get the “debate” surrounding Matt Hancock. He’s now openly admitted he broke his own rules. So either the Government formally adopts the position “we don’t have to abide by the rules, but you lot do”. Or he has to step down. It’s that simple.
What “debate”? The “rules” are for the mugs and scared rabbits…
Boris-idiot’s charmed life continues. Hancock has been approved by “Boris” despite the scandal. He will now be kept on by “Boris”, like a fly kept alive but doomed in a spider’s web, ready to be utilized. Once the moment comes when “Boris” needs a sacrificial victim, there will be a reshuffle and Hancock will then be finished off (sacked and/or demoted).
Listened to part of the pathetic and irritating BBC Radio 4 Today Programme. Little Matt Hancock promoting his NHS app and medical records non-privacy nonsense. No concern for personal rights, or personal privacy.
Little Hancock expressing pleasant surprise that (apparently) almost no-one has had flu in the UK for 18 months. Seems, on the face of it, to see no connection between the “Covid-19” “panicdemic”, the faked statistics thereof, and the “surprising” statistics about flu.
Good sense has almost fled from the UK.
The UK was shut down pointlessly, with huge economic damage and huge but non-Covid health damage. The Government are a bunch of clowns, advised by twerps such as Professor Ferguson and crazed quasi-Communists such as the Michie woman. The propaganda pumped out has led to a population resembling fearful rabbits (especially older people), and all the nonsense around the situation, especially the facemask nonsense, is supported zealously by the Twitterati twits (of course), who are always wrong about everything.
Look at the latest news. “Vaccine passports”, which liar-in-chief “Boris”-idiot swore would never be introduced, now are going to be introduced, though under other names. Meanwhile, it is clear that “Freedom Day”, already postponed once, will probably never happen, and if it does, will both not live up to its name and/or be short-lived, until the next (supposedly “necessary”) “lockdown” shutdown.
When will people wake up and “just say no”? Ever? I am doubtful. The UK population is now so weakened by political correctness, and also by the fear of the State and social pressures brought on by State propaganda, that I fear that few will dare to be dissident.

Yet @bobfrombrockley, you say you were enthused by the attack on Mother Theresa, which is surely about as aggressively atheist as you could get. I wonder what @ben_gidley thinks. I am trying to get in touch with him. Do you know a good way? https://t.co/lJAYkSR4Xo
I think that I was the first, or one of the first, several years ago, to identify Jew troll Ben Gidley (@bengidley), who writes absurd sociological gibberish at Birkbeck/Goldsmiths (University of London), as being the same as “@bobfrombrockley”, and also various Twitter trolling accounts, including “@inthesoupagain” and “@antinazisunited”. That troll used to tweet against me on a daily basis until, finally, he and other Jews conspired successfully to have me removed from Twitter in 2018.
Incidentally, Hitchens has the wrong Twitter name there: the correct one is “@bengidley” (not “@ben_gidley” (though that latter may well be yet another of the little bastard’s Twitter accounts) .
Johnson could have said ‘We will never have another lockdown as long as I am Prime Minister’. That he refused to rule another out another lockdown this winter – and is already mentioning flu problems (in June), is a very big hint that one is already being planned.
We can all see now what the govt strategy is on domestic Vaccine Passports/Covid Certification. They’ll be promoted as ‘a way to keep pubs & hospitality open during what will be a v. difficult winter’. They’ll be sold as a ‘ temporary measure’ – but we all know what that means.
What is now happening in System party politics, eg by-elections etc, is a “Schauspiel” or spectacle to fool the British people, akin to when teenage louts take a beachball from a small boy and then tease him by throwing it to each other as he stands, upset and confused, in the middle, until some sensible adult sorts them out.
Yes, there might be a slight change or tweak of policy, but not much, if, say, the LibDems were to win 80 seats (in some unlikely scenario) and so deprive the misnamed Conservatives of the Commons majority. The LibDems usually back the present Government; indeed, Labour, the supposed official Opposition, usually votes with this absurd Government of complete idiots.
Don’t be fooled though. Behind Boris-idiot, behind the other “dirty democratic politicians” (as Hitler called the same sort in the Germany of the 1920s), behind fake “Labour”, behind the LibDem play-politicians, stand the ZOG (Zionist Occupation Government) and NWO (New World Order) cabals.
Well, I do not remember 1970s London as particularly wonderful, but overall it was still better than London in 2021. It had rough edges, but was not yet the zoo it has become.
There are shortages now. I notice that in the local Waitrose (the nearest small town to my home has only that one supermarket, and a Marks & Spencer food hall). Sometimes there are very limited choices in the fresh food areas. Fruits, some vegetables too. Is that the eventual idea, to make people line up for rations, as (at times, for some) in socialist East Berlin, or provincial Soviet cities in the pre-1989 era?
Think “The Great Reset”…NWO/ZOG…depressed scurrying crowds, all wearing masks, clutching their vaccine passports, desperate to be allowed to buy basic foodstuffs and to be permitted to travel beyond their local areas.
Question: at what point does actual uprising become the only choice left? Another question: will there soon even be any people with both intelligence and spirit, and who are both willing and able to rise up?
Well, having known a few Finns, including one girlfriend (in the 1990s) I very much doubt that Finland really is the happiest country in the world, but it is a very good country all the same, I think. Why would they spoil that by inviting immigration, especially non-white immigration? Are there (((snakes))) in their cold Garden of Eden?
“Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?” [Shakespeare, Hamlet]
“We are living under tyranny. The novelty of our situation has made its essence difficult to grasp, while the comforts that we still enjoy (for now) are concealing this reality for many, but the direction of travel is clear. The British government, and other governments, are operating through propaganda, censorship, deception, whisper networks, diktats, smear campaigns, political corruption and political repression to disseminate a pseudo-scientific narrative and ideology intended to entrench their power.
Government scientists, claiming to be speaking apolitically on the basis of ‘pure scientific facts’ are producing, on commission, pseudo-objective recommendations to camouflage an unrelated set of policies intended to achieve political and economic ends. At the same time, other government scientists manipulate the public with terrifying images and slogans, to pressurise against examining the government claims too closely.
The real policy agenda is fundamentally destructive and unpopular. Nobody was asked about it, nobody voted for it, and nobody wants it, except for the powerful global corporate, financial and political powers which are now collaborating to install it though force and fraud.
This is the pandemic: a global shock doctrine used as cover fundamentally to restructure global society.
The next political step in the plan remains the total social control matrix represented by immunity passports. For the moment, Britain is kept in lockdown because the lockdowns are required in order ‘to escape’ via vaccine passports; this too, of course, will not be an escape but an enslavement. Further steps will involve intensifying persecution of the ‘anti-vaxxers’, that is, all opposition to the government as it becomes more nakedly tyrannical, along with actions to co-opt opposition, misdirect it, misrepresent it and deflect it. A variety of active measures have begun already, for example the reported mandatory vaccination of NHS and care home workers.
Two weeks ago New York asset manager BlackRock began purchasing whole neighbourhoods of single-family homes in the United States. The idea is to shift from an ownership to a more profitable rental model. As the World Economic Forum says: ’You will own nothing and you will be happy.’
You actually will be a slave. Your social existence will now be made dependent on an algorithm determining how good a slave you are.” [Daniel Miller, writing in Conservative Woman online magazine].
In the UK, this is manifesting in various ways rather rapidly.
The country is split into two: the majority, perhaps vast majority, who take everything about “the virus”, its supposed importance, and the measures taken around it by government, at face value; and the smaller section of society who realize or have realized that “something is going on” that has little to do, directly, with necessary public health precautions etc, but much to do with the creation of a kind of disguised police state combined with the simultaneous creation of a panic-driven “public fear state”.
Well, once again I beat John Rentoul. He scored 6/10, but I trump that with 7/10. I did not know the answers to questions 2, 3 and 10 (though hit the post on question 2, thinking that it was 25 years and not the correct 20).
Much as I have little or no time for Jewish-lobby puppet Keir Starmer, I am yet surprised at some of those opinion poll responses. Boris-idiot leads a charmed life (so far)…
As for Andy Burnham, I realized years ago that he was a likely Labour Party leader (amid a poor selection bunch) but I see from the opinion poll that while about half the respondents would be more likely to vote Lab were Burnham to be leader, and only 10% less likely, 41% are unsure. Maybe Burnham is seen as dull (just like Starmer).
The problem for Labour, as I have blogged repeatedly, lies not only or mainly with its leader(s) but with its whole raison d’etre.

Given the police are no longer willing or able to police Covid regulations on gathering outside, why not just scrap the rule. Save all the “one law for G7” stuff and just let people enjoy the summer. (If and when it comes back).
Most of the measures taken have been a complete waste of time. That applies particularly to the facemask nonsense.
Roanna Carleton-Taylor and “Resisting Hate”
Twitter users will have seen many tweets by one Roanna Carleton-Taylor of Derbyshire (near Chesterfield), who was the mainstay of yet another hate-filled “anti-fascist” “organization” (consisting of a small number of lunatics and/or non-Brits). It is or was (possibly defunct now) smaller than the better-known and mainly Jewish “anti-hate” hate orgs such as “Hope Not Hate” and “United Against Fascism”.
“Roanna” was on Twitter as “@antifashwitch” and is now “@oilpaintwitch”. She has tweeted about me occasionally in the past; also about Alison Chabloz and others. She is friendly on Twitter with a few mentally-disturbed Jewish and other trolls in North London and elsewhere.
I have just seen a WordPress blog post about her, her husband, and others, which post is so plainly libellous (though I believe probably true) that I decline to quote from it or even link to it here.
Not that I am worried about being sued. My financial status now is such that I am effectively “unsueable” (to the chagrin of a few ambulance-chasing Jew lawyers and others!). Also my legal skills are still (mostly) there (despite having not had professional outing for many years). The Jews on Twitter have often mocked (what they assert were) my poor talents, but the unpleasant old Jew Q.C. who led the complaint against me to the Bar Standards Board in 2014 (resulting in my disbarment in late 2016) wrote to the BSB that, inter alia, “[Millard] has a strong and subtle intelligence“, if I recall his letter aright…
“Resisting Hate” seems to have imploded now, and “Roanna” has turned to painting. Her oils, some of them, are not too bad in fact, rather odd but quite original. Not sure what to call them. Something in the Primitive category, maybe. I am probably not qualified to categorize them. They have a certain soulfulness, suffused with foreboding.
In fact, I am often interested to see what happens to those who say “bad things” about me on Twitter and elsewhere, or indeed do bad things. These are or were persons who had never met me, knew little or nothing about me, yet were happy to laugh at my disbarment in 2016, laugh at my being expelled from Twitter in 2018 etc, and even to make malicious complaints about me to Internet organizations, professional organizations, even police organizations.
Quite a few of those mentioned above are now dead (natural causes, and “nothing to do with me, guv”…). I refrain from naming them because some troll would no doubt claim to the police that I am posting “grossly offensive” things. I sometimes amuse myself by reading the trolls’ (often still-extant) tweets attacking or mocking me. Who’s laughing now?…
Others have had other “tragic” events happen to them or to their families. Again, I choose not to give specific examples. Some of my most relentless trolls and pursuers are also now suffering from serious medical conditions.
“The stars in their courses fight on the side of the just” [Chinese proverb]
Ha ha! George Galloway seems to be making the difference between either a very close win (for either main System party), and a Labour-crashes-in flames defeat (and so quite clear Con win by default).

Stunning…
As I remarked earlier, I might have little time for Starmer, but that people see “Boris” as more intelligent and, incredibly, more trustworthy than Starmer!… What dystopian parallel universe is this?

For me, leaving aside the plainly significant local factors, I should say that there is huge dissatisfaction with the present ridiculous government, but that, also, people have nowhere to go as yet. Yes, the LibDems had a stunning by-election victory in Chesham and Amersham, but there is no LibDem revival generally; and very few will vote Labour in southern England outside (or even inside) London.
The overnight upsurge of Brexit Party in 2019 is a lesson not much taken on board. If it had not been “controlled opposition”, if its leader had been someone more honest and ideological than snake-oil salesman Nigel Farage, if Farage had not stabbed Brexit Party in the back during the General Election, if if if…
Still, if one party can do it, rise up “from nowhere”, another party, social national and more honest, could do the same…
Interesting perhaps, but there was a similar list before the 2019 General Election. I have no faith either that the LibDems will revive enough to become significant players on the national stage or, in the unlikely event that they were to repeat their 2010 successes, that the LibDems would not then sell out again, as they did in 2010, for ministerial portfolios and money.
Boris-idiot is an appalling Prime Minister, but the masses seem to give him what the mediaeval revels called “the Fool’s Freedom”. That says more about the British masses than about “Boris”. As I wrote a couple of years ago, the British people have already discounted the many flaws and weaknesses of “Boris”, with the result that no scandal can touch him. He has, in the contemporary expression, “weaponized” his own deficiencies.
That leaves Starmer and Labour with yet another problem to add to their main ones— for what does Labour stand? What is Labour for? Effectively the same problem.
The Jew-Zionist lobby managed to get Corbyn binned. Starmer was put in Corbyn’s place, and all, or almost all, the Shadow Cabinet are now Labour Friends of Israel members. For the Zionist lobby, it really does not matter whether Labour fails to recover (entirely likely) or not. For the lobby, all that matters is that both System political parties of importance are under the Jewish/Israeli thumb (or heel).
It will be interesting to see what happens to Labour’s candidates in the two upcoming by-elections. In the first, at Chesham and Amersham, this coming Thursday (17 June 2021), Labour may struggle to retain its deposit. In the second by-election, at Batley and Spen (1 July 2021), Labour will be fighting to retain the seat.
Labour’s problem in directly electoral terms is not that its former voters might vote Conservative, Green, or whatever else, but that many will simply stay at home, whether literally or, in the case of postal voters, metaphorically.
I missed the tweet below (from weeks ago). I endorse the sentiments:
Cummings says a system that offers the choice of Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn "has gone badly wrong". Also "crazy" that Cummings himself was in a senior position. "Crackers" that both him and Boris were in charge
Many will recall Joan Ryan, the Israel-lobby one-time Labour MP, who was caught conspiring with Israeli intelligence officer Shai Masot a few years ago (Masot had a million-pound slush fund from Israel, with which to buy MPs, in effect).
I wonder how much the new position pays. Joan Ryan likes money, was a noted expenses cheat and blodger in, especially, the 2005-2009 Parliament, and was one of the highest-claiming MPs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_Ryan#Expenses_controversies.
Look at the last bit of that video, when the Jew, Masot, says that he has received a million pounds from Israel. The look of pleasure on the faces of Joan Ryan and her little sidekick!

Take away the unsustainable “furlough” payments, and take away the governmental support payments for small business and self-employed people, then ask the same or similar question again…and then ask a similar question a couple of months later. The “public opinion” will have shifted. Much.
The police have largely given up trying to police ordinary crime, and have shifted personnel and resources to trying to police socio-political expression, which is not their job (or their business). Much (not all but most) of it is driven (from behind the scenes) by the Jew-Zionist element aiming at the censoring of any criticism of the behaviour of Jews and/or Israel, as evidence my experience of some 4 years ago: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/.

In some ways, Cornwall is very different from England proper. I lived for a couple of years at Polapit Tamar manor house, about 4 miles north of Launceston, and only a short distance from the River Tamar itself (Tala Water, a stream that runs through the property, is a tributary of the Tamar).
Exactly. “Controlled opposition”, which was engendered, arguably, by the Okhrana in the early 20thC (Father Gapon etc), is now seen everywhere. Julia Hartley-Brewer cited in the tweet above, but also think Delingpole, anyone in the Spectator, pretty much; also Breitbart, Tommy Robinson, Katie Hopkins, “Prison Planet” Watson, the pseudo-dissident bits of the Daily Mail and other msm outlets, as well as snake-oil salesmen like Farage (and pretty much anyone part of the whole UKIP/Brexit Party/Reform Party circus); others too.
How do you tell who or what is “controlled opposition”? The rule of thumb is, if they support —or are not hostile to— Israel and/or the Jewish lobby, then bin them. Controlled opposition.
Migration invasion. Santitized. Soon not reported on. All part of the “Great Reset”, Great Replacement, Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan or, putting it more honestly, down the line, White Genocide. The reality is behind the names.
It’s now become ‘mainstream’ to openly question whether restrictions are ever going to end. This time last year those who said that this was meant to be permanent were denounced as ‘crank conspiracy theorists’ and in some cases (eg David Icke), banned.
Yes, David Icke and many others broadly aware of the above (and willing to oppose it openly) have been removed from social media platforms over the past few years. As always, the organized Zionist-Jew lobby is behind much of the “deplatforming”. I was expelled from Twitter in 2018. Icke followed a couple of years later. Many others have trodden the same “Sibirsky Trakt“.
In fact, unlike the dissidents of Imperial Russia and their even less fortunate Soviet successors, most of today’s dissident thinkers and activists do not end up doing time (though some do). It is far more subtle than that.
People lose jobs or professions (as I would have done —disbarred in 2016— had I myself not already binned mainstream life), are subject to occasional harassment by authorities, are bit by bit removed from social media and so from influencing online opinion, are prevented anyway from publishing offline via mainstream publishers (one of the first to fall victim was the historian, David Irving: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Irving).
In my own case, from about 2009 to about 2015, Jews managed to get my book reviews (I was a “top 50” reviewer, one of the top 50 reviewers out of millions, as voted for by Amazon users) taken off both UK Amazon and US Amazon (so much for “the land of freedom”…because where “they” exist in large numbers, there never is any freedom).
I was then pursued via my then professional regulator, the Bar Standards Board, which eventually led to my disbarment (in England) in 2016 (in fact unlawfully, but that is not worth detailing right now).
Later, in 2018, I was removed from Twitter (I was never on Facebook).
You see the pattern. So far, American platforms such as WordPress have resisted (95% resisted) calls to “deplatform” me and others. How long a blog such as this will be available for the people to read is an open question.
The “panicdemic”, the “climate change” narrative, nonsense such as “Black Lives Matter” etc (all supported, you will have noticed by the big battalions of the msm such as Sky and the BBC, CNN, Hollywood etc), are but notes or Leitmotive in a symphony of socio-political “change” being played according to an agreed “composition”…
“I expected that I was paying this fortune, all this time and energy, to learn how to think. I thought America was different but I saw so many similarities to what I saw in North Korea that I started worrying.“
“Those similarities include anti-Western sentiment, collective guilt and suffocating political correctness.” [Yeonmi Park, on Fox News]
Well worth listening to what she has to say. In the end, this can only end one way…
I dislike mobs and mob rule, but it is clear that the unfortunate journalist, Nick Watt, was catching the flak that should have been fired at those nearer the top of the BBC, which has become, over the past couple of decades, a biased State broadcaster, with no more credibility than had the Soviet news media of the pre-1989 period.
Only 5/10 this week, though I still beat John Rentoul (again); he only scored 4/10. I did not know the answers to questions 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10 (could not remember what LED —exactly— means, and I hit the post on the Battle of Bannockburn, knowing that it was Edward I’s successor but not knowing who the hell that was).

Here are some snippets from @campbellclaret Diaries vol 8 I didn't have space for in the review
It seems that the said Halloran has now joined the no-chance Reclaim Party set up by the actor Laurence Fox, who now stands for free speech (except, it seems, where Jews disapprove or are mentioned). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_Fox.
It is clear that Reclaim Party will never amount to anything. As far as the Batley and Spen by-election in July is concerned, the stand-aside will obviously help the Conservative candidate, but what is unknown is by how many votes. Halloran received 12.2% of the vote in 2019, true, but Fox, in the recent London Mayoral Election, only 1.9%.
I suppose that it might be surmised that Halloran, had he stood at Batley, might have garnered 5% of the by-election vote, possibly 10%, and maybe even 15%+, but the fact is that that is pure speculation. We do not know.
What we do know is that the above news is probably a blow for Labour. A few percent might decide this contest.
Chesham and Amersham by-election 2021
The Chesham and Amersham by-election is set down for 17 June 2021. It has been occasioned by the death of the sitting member, Cheryl Gillan [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Gillan].
I usually abide by the maxim de mortuis nihil nisi bonum (“[say] nothing but good of the [recent] dead”) but the fact is that the recently-deceased MP was little better than a persistent and outright thief [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Gillan#Expenses] who defrauded the taxpayer out of far more than was explicitly exposed during the 2009 expenses scandal.
As to the constituency, this is rock-solid Conservative Party territory, situated at the suburban and semi-rural Northern joint termini of the Metropolitan Line.
The lowest ebb of Conservative Party fortunes at Chesham and Amersham was 1997, but even in that year of “Labour landslide” the Conservative vote held up at 50.4%. The high-water mark was the 1992 General Election (63.3%). Even the expenses scandal did not dent Cheryl Gillan’s vote (60.4% in 2010).
Second place in elections at Chesham and Amersham has usually gone to the Liberal Democrats, but UKIP (2015, 13.7%) and Labour (2017, 20.6%) have also featured.
The LibDem vote-share fell to only 9% (and a fourth-place) in the debacle of 2015, but recovered to 13% in 2017, and to 26.3% in 2019.
As for Labour, its low point was 2010 (5.6%), and its high point 2017 (20.6%).
Eight candidates contest the by-election, the other five being Green Party, Reform Party UK, Freedom Alliance, Breakthrough Party, and Rejoin EU.
Green Party got 5.5% at Chesham and Amersham in 2019.
Reform Party UK is the rump of Brexit Party, and scored 1% in the most recent London Assembly elections.
Rejoin EU managed to get a vote of 1.1% in the 2021 London Mayoral election. Its by-election candidate is Brendan Donnelly [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_Donnelly_(politician)], a one-time employee at the Foreign Office, who became a Conservative Party MEP in 1994, then left the Conservative Party, stood again in 1999 under the banner of the short-lived “Pro-Euro Conservative Party” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro-Euro_Conservative_Party], failed to be re-elected, and thereafter became a serial and unsuccessful pro-EU election candidate under several flags.
Freedom Alliance is a reaction to the toytown police state created by the 2020 Coronavirus events, and is based in Huddersfield [https://freedomalliance.co.uk/], though its Chesham and Amersham by-election candidate is a former Green Party councillor who lives in High Wycombe [https://freedomalliance.co.uk/england-candidates/].
The main interest in the by-election will be that of seeing how low Labour will sink.
The Normandy Landings
Today is the 77th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, the biggest invasion by sea in history, and the determinative turning-point of the Second World War on the Western Front: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandy_landings

You need to ask HMG @stevan_b, and good luck with that. But since the Afghan hijack, it has been quite clear to would-be queue jumpers (and their smugglers) that , if they can reach UK soil, there is a very good chance of them being able to stay permanently. https://t.co/UHb9beNbGc
What's the point of me? Thinking, telling the truth, upholding the standards of civilised debate. I'd settle for that @lizduffin2https://t.co/bofmLMuaYH
Well, Hitchens is sometimes worth noting, but I have to say that when I had a Twitter account (a pack of Jew-Zionists had me expelled in 2018), Hitchens blocked me mainly if not entirely because he saw that I knew more than him. My later assessment of him: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/19/peter-hitchens-and-his-views/.
NWO. ZOG. The Great Reset. It’s happening right in front of our eyes, yet the majority, perhaps the vast majority, are unaware, or think it is just something to do with a virus that has killed about one in a thousand British people (and even fewer worldwide)…
There is a case for foreign aid. It rests, in its purest form, on charity or compassion, just like social welfare, free medical care etc in the UK domestic context. In less obviously pure form, foreign aid can be regarded as an incident of “soft power” and diplomacy.
Having said that, much foreign aid is misapplied, wasted, or stolen. I could give examples from my own overseas experience.
On BBC TV News, I saw today some woman talking (from her own rather comfortable-looking home) about the recent decision to further cut foreign aid. She was one of the directors of the long-established charity, Save the Children, which —subject to correction— I think was founded in or at the end of the First World War.
Some reading this may recall that, after the Jo Cox assassination in 2016, it came to light that the husband of that MP, the (I always thought, seeing him on TV etc) rather thuggish Brendan Cox, was exposed as a sex pest and quasi-rapist. Well, what interested me more was the fact that (if I recall aright), as something like third in command of Save the Children, Brendan Cox was being paid something like £200,000 pa. Not bad for someone with a very underwhelming academic and other background. Worse, the actual head of Save the Children was getting over £300,000 (in fact, from memory, it was nearly £400,000).
Not that I think that the head of a large organization, even a charitable one, should not be paid decently or even well, bearing in mind the skills required and responsibility held, but all the same it sits unpleasantly to see people donating pennies, or hard-scrabbled pounds, while the fat cats at the top of the tree get hundreds of thousands of pounds (and expenses) every year.
The world of international aid charities is a rotten borough. I once met a woman who was getting very well paid indeed (the equivalent of maybe £100,000 a year in today’s money), for about 2-3 days a week working for DFID as a “consultant”; she had some academic job as well. She told me that she had even been offered more money, about double, working for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization [FAO] in Rome. Her job title? [would be] “expert in food poverty”!
There’s something unclean about all that. Carpetbagging hypocrisy.
The latest news (as yet unconfirmed) about the persecuted satirist and singer is that her appeal against conviction and sentence will take place on 13 August 2021. As said, this is as yet unconfirmed. The appeal had been set down for the two days of 3-4 June 2021, but was adjourned at the request of the Crown. It may be that the appeal will now be more narrowly focussed, i.e. focussed on strictly legal arguments, and that that is why it seems now to be set down for only one day.
In the past, little happened in the courts in August, but that was then.
