I have blogged previously, several times, about the Gorton and Denton by-election. From (obviously) a considerable distance, I see it as being very close among Reform/Greens/Labour, but I just cannot see who would vote Labour now, in that seat or elsewhere.

Having said that, the one-third of eligible voters in the by-election who are Pakistani Muslims are hard to fathom. Many cannot even speak English, and their educational level is probably rock-bottom. Who knows what their motivations might be? Labour is said to have an effective electoral machine up there (though journalists say that little has been seen of Labour canvassers etc).

I can see the dilemma of the Muslim voters, perhaps unwilling to vote Labour because it is a Labour Friends of Israel misgovernment, also unwilling (perhaps) to vote Green because Green policies include the decriminalization of both drugs (all drugs) and pornography (all pornography?), yet unwilling to vote for the (supposedly) anti-migration-invasion Reform UK.

The Muslims would probably have voted for George Galloway or his candidate, but he has endorsed the Green Party candidate, thus greatly boosting the Greens’ chances.

I should imagine that most white English/British voters in the seat will be voting Reform; we shall see. To vote any other way would be turkeys voting for Christmas.

My own feeling is that Matt Goodwin, for Reform, could still do this, but it may run very close.

Reform’s weakness has always been its finance-capitalist and also its pro-Israel, pro-Jewish lobby orientation. Farage welcoming deadheads, freeloaders, and/or non-Brits such as Nadine Dorries, Nadhim Zahawi etc has weakened the Reform “brand”, no question. Matt Goodwin himself has openly criticized that, and Farage has (retaliation?) gone to the Chagos Islands (well, offshore there) instead of slogging it out on the by-election front-lines with Goodwin. Not impressive.

Were Reform more social-national, even it it fell far short of my policy positions, it would be on 50% in the opinion polls, not between 24% and 28%.

That poll shows not only Con and Lab, but also the Greens and LibDems almost on the same level: 18%, 18%, 17%, and 14%. Reform still leading the pack, though not convincingly.

Of course, a victory for Reform in the by-election would certainly give them a national boost.

Incidentally, that latest poll would indicate a Commons with about 291 Reform MPs (some distance short of a majority), Greens 80 (official, albeit very weak, Opposition!), Cons 79, LibDems 74, Labour 53, SNP 45 [etc].

My thoughts exactly. About 30 stooges in the hired function room of some hotel (look at the chandelier), holding up placards in order to make a photo for social media and the newspapers.

If the reports are accurate, then we may not be far from nuclear war. Were that to happen, both Britain and France, as we know them, will cease to exist.

I believe that that uninfluential Twitter/X account is or was run by a Jewish woman who tweeted once or twice, inaccurately, about me, though years ago.

Whatever the truth of that, Amazon is thoroughly under “the usual” baleful influence. I was once a “top 50” reviewer (in the UK) on Amazon UK, voted so by readers, but a concerted campaign of faked complaint by Jews meant that hundreds of my reviews were deleted with neither warning nor any right of appeal. One Jew, a “Daniel Sevitt” (now resident in Ra’anana near Tel Aviv, but of UK-resident origins) organized it, I discovered later (he admitted his crime publicly, online, and in fact appeared proud of his activity). He now “replies” on Twitter/X, and in very insolent terms to any anti-Israel tweeters (who never addressed him in the first place). Another Jewish-Zionist loonie. https://x.com/danielsevitt.

In fact, even the Jewish Chronicle reported on the then-“anonymous” complaint about my reviews, prior to their removal.

I then started to review on the Amazon USA site but, not long after that, and with no warning, every single one of my reviews was removed. Same Jew? I do not know for evidential certain, but it had to be. Anyway, who cares whether it was Jew “X”, Jew “Y” or Jew “Z”? Same thing.

Many of those reviews, probably the majority, were neither about Jews, Israel, WW2 etc, nor even mentioned those topics, incidentally.

Well, I agree with the lady’s premise (i.e. that is is perhaps foolish to guess the result in such a tight contest), but my guess anyway would be the exact opposite of hers: Reform, Greens, Labour. We shall soon know.

If Reform form a government but then fail to deliver (entirely possible, looking at their Jewish-lobby, Israel-lobby tie-ins), then the game will be in the hazard, as Shakespeare put it.

Exactly. I do not know whether Farage is weakening Reform UK deliberately, or simply out of ineptitude. I have blogged before, some long time ago, about how Farage is not really a very clever politician. That of course sounds counter-intuitive after the repeated near-successes— UKIP, Brexit Party and now, writ much larger, Reform UK.

It seems absurd in a way, to think that Farage may be a System catspaw, but his actions are sometimes very strange for someone leading an insurgent political force. Also, when Farage entered the Chamber of the House of Commons for the first time, Starmer himself crossed the floor and welcomed him, with every sign of genuine bonhomie. Simple courtesy? “Democratic” politicians’ comity? Maybe…

The Reform “brand” has definitely been weakened by having the previously-Con ministers and MPs, mostly corrupt, freeloading, or incompetent, joining on a quasi-senior level.

There is something very fishy about the whole of Farage’s behaviour. Deep-cover NWO/ZOG agent?

Sample size, though typical, still only 401 out of nearly 80,000, i.e. 1 out of every 200 registered voters, about half of one percent.

The likely error margin must be several points, rendering the pecking order implausible. It may be correct, it may not be. On the figures themselves, only 1 point or less separates the three main contenders.

Anyone voting Conservative is wasting their vote; they should vote Reform. Tactical voting. Again, they may or may not do so.

In the other recent significant by-election, Labour and Starmer-stein were humiliated when Reform won by a mere 6 votes. It might be as close as that, either way, at Gorton and Denton.

This is just completely unacceptable in any society aspiring to basic decency.

As previously blogged, were I the Iranian leader, I should focus every missile and drone I had on Israel, particularly Dimona, Tel Aviv central areas (and wealthy nearby suburbs and towns), and ben-Gurion Airport. Then press the buttons.

The betting market is strongly focussed on the Greens to take Gorton and Denton at the by-election. Maybe so, but I remain convinced that Reform and Goodwin can still do this.

Many 2024 Labour voters (50.8% vote-share) in the constituency will either not vote at all, or will migrate to Reform or the Greens.

Many of the Muslims, who comprise about a third of all Gorton/Denton voters, will migrate to Green; at any rate, the Muslim vote may be split between Green and Labour (in proportions that are and will be unknown, even after Thursday).

How many white English/British voters will go for Reform is also up in the air, as is any quantification of the chance of Reform being able to recruit people eligible to vote but who did not vote in 2024 (turnout was only 46.8%, pathetic for a general election). In 2024, Labour was returned with 50.8% of votes cast, but only about 23%-24% of all eligible votes.

My guess is that few real British/English voters are going to vote Labour in this by-election, and they are about 65% of all eligible voters. The Muslims will either go Labour or Green, probably more the latter.

My conclusion remains what it has been since the beginning: very close, but Reform can do this, if luck is with them.

Incidentally, at this by-election, a third of the voters are the Muslims, and they are all or almost all, Pakistanis. Should non-Europeans even be allowed to vote? Frankly, I think not.

That is my conclusion about British people generally over the past decades— “not angry enough“. Not necessarily. After all, Reform is still an upstart party, despite having had opinion poll leads for well over a year. I think that, if Labour cannot retain Gorton and Denton, it proves that they are toast. However, if Labour were to hold on by a few points, that would still indicate that they are toast in all but long-traditional, kneejerk Labour tribal areas.

If Reform comes in second to the Greens, especially,then that would be a smallish setback, bearing in mind the Muslim/Islamist factor. If Reform comes in third, then that would be a far bigger setback, though scarcely fatal.

It is true that Reform is not breaking past the 35% point in the opinion polls, and usually is not breaking past the 30% mark. That is because (as Goodwin has said) Farage has welcomed too many tarnished Con Party defectors, several not even white European. Were Reform social-national, and free of fake “libertarian” rubbish, it would be at 50% in the polling.

Earlier today I heard an argument that Labour should now focus on its core vote of young metropolitans and white collar workers. That McSweeney leaving means Labour don’t have to pander to the Brexit Backing Red Wall and can focus instead on the yuppies who indulgently support The Greens.

Given that most working class folk despise Labour and sense it despises them, if the strategy is to demonise them even more and abandon them even further, Labour will struggle to ever get back into power.

As to the latest Israeli outrage, no doubt, in time, Israeli developers will be making money out of it, once Gaza has been ethnically cleansed in order to be used as Israeli/Jewish Lebensraum and/or “Club Trump”.

As I blogged yesterday, while the verdict does not sit easily with me by reason, mainly, of the injuries suffered by the policewoman, I am glad that the defendants escaped being sacrificed on the altar of Jewish/Zionist/Israeli supremacy.

The outcome of that trial has certainly exercized the usual suspects, such as Jewish Zionist troublemaker, liar, and perjurer, Gideon Falter, of the malicious Israeli/Jewish pressure group “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”]. Twitter/X is alive with anger from Jews and other pro-Israel individuals, such as “Tommy Robinson”.

I had thought, at one time and not so long ago, that Labour would not fall below about 20% or so because that is the proportion of non-whites in the UK, and most voted Labour. Gorton and Denton by-election

I blogged yesterday about the upcoming by-election in a suburb of Manchester. In my blog post, I speculated that the only 3 parties in serious contention (there are 10 candidates in toto: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorton_and_Denton#Elections_in_the_2020s), i.e. Reform, Labour, and the Greens, might score about 30% each, leading to a close race in which Reform would be the likely winner.

Earlier today, I mentioned my gut feeling (almost entirely unevidenced, I concede) that the Gorton and Denton Labour vote might collapse before the by-election is held.

More about the Gorton and Denton by-election

Now that Galloway and his Workers’ Party have decided not to stand, the Green Party vote-share will inevitably increase, most if not all of potential Galloway voters being Muslims who will now pivot to the Greens, as against Starmer-stein’s Labour Friends of Israel misgovernment and its just-announced candidate, a Greek woman, born in Greece, and who seems to be a kind of “quangocrat” type.

As previously blogged, it seems to me that this may be a close match between Reform and the Greens. Labour did score 50.8% at GE 2024 not even a year ago but, since then, the Starmer government has failed on almost all fronts. I give it a couple of ticks in respect of a few smaller matters, but on the big things it has failed, abjectly.

I am thinking that the Labour vote percentage at the by-election might be around two-thirds of where it was at GE 2024. That would be in line with the national “Labour intending” vote (as expressed in recent opinion polls). Labour scored 33.7% at GE 2024, but at present is polling somewhere around 20%.

If replicated at the by-election, that would perhaps reduce the Lab vote to around 30% or so. The remaining ~20% seen at GE 2024 will either not vote (and that might be the main option, this being only a by-election) or will go Green or Reform, maybe half and half of the remainder.

Reform scored only 14.1% at GE 2024 (2nd place), but might get another 5% via former Labour voters, another 5% out of the 7.9% the Con Party scored at GE 2024, and perhaps will also get votes from people who normally do not vote. Call it 30% overall.

As for the Greens, they were 3rd-placed at GE 2024—they got 13.2%, and the Workers’ Party got 10.3%, so assuming that all of the latter join with the former, that makes somewhere not far short of 24%. Add about 5% from disenchanted former Labour voters, and the Greens might also get 30% at the by-election.

So there it is. The best I can do is think that Reform, the Greens, and Labour will all end up with somewhere around 30% of the total vote. May be a very close result, though my gut tells me that Labour may just collapse. No proof of that, just a nagging feeling.

There are 10 candidates in all. Those other than the main three will probably share about 10% of the total vote. Advance UK may take some votes away from Matt Goodwin and Reform, but I think not many. Only Reform has the public profile to possibly win the by-election, and that might persuade people who like Advance UK [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_UK] or its candidate, Nick Buckley [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Buckley], to switch to Reform.

As for the LibDems and the very minor or joke candidates, all but irrelevant.

Hard to call, but the momentum is surely with Reform UK at this point.

Starmer-stein, Rachel Reeves, and Angela Rayner have been among the worst freeloaders. Yvette Cooper and her now ex-MP husband, Ed Balls, were of course also actual expenses cheats (same goes for Rachel Reeves), lucky not to have been prosecuted for fraud in the past (when MP expenses were even less-monitored than they now are).

Not necessarily, but it is a good campaigning message in a situation where Starmer-stein is despised and even hated by many voters.

My own take on that is that Starmer has little self-awareness, and will cling on to the bitter end. A lost by-election at Gorton and Denton might be that end, or it might not. The May 2026 local elections (those that have not been “postponed” or “cancelled”) might also be that end, or might not be. Open question at present.

Not quite as striking as other very recent polls, but the end result not much different in big-picture terms.

Reform may, in that poll, be in a worse position than in the November 2025 polling, but the figures speak for themselves, really. Labour and the Con Party are still very much in the doldrums. The public are not enthusiastic about Reform either, but are willing (30% of them, anyway) to vote Reform in order to stamp on both Lab and Con.

Probably something about putting him up against a wall.

I actually laughed when I read that rubbish tweeted by Times Radio.

In what Britain does Polly Mackenzie live? Not the one in which I live.

Turns out that she is a LibDem who worked for disastrous Clegg when he was Deputy Prime Minister during 2010-2015. She then, according to herself, co-founded the (sank without trace) Women’s Equality Party (Wikipedia does not mention her doing that anyway: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_Equality_Party), before working at think tanks and, now, appearing on —yes— Times Radio podcasts with the Jewish scribblers Danny Finkelstein and Hugo Rifkind.

As far as I know, his predecessors were mostly, if not all, also either Jews or pro-Israel non-Jews.

We hear a lot about “terror plots” etc, including “far right” ones, but most (certainly all the supposedly “far right” ones) seem to consist mainly of teenage boys or others downloading bomb-making manuals, or buying samurai swords, or trying to create 3D firearms (but would you really trust your life to such a defective kind of weapon?) and talking big on the Internet (but never doing anything).

The System narrative about all that is mainly a Schauspiel for the bamboozled public, injected into their tiny minds via the mainstream media.

I keep seeing tweets etc from “the usual suspects” (inter alia, the Jew-Zionist “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, GB News, Talk TV, Nick Timothy MP, “lord” Ian Austin etc) demanding the sacking of the Chief Constable and others of the West Midlands Police.

All about the storm-in-a-teacup around whether some ghastly Jewish football team from Israel should have been allowed to play west of Birmingham, and its violent supporters allowed to attend.

The intent behind the claque noise is obvious. If the police cave in, in future they —and other police forces— will be too scared to oppose any and all demands by the Jew-Zionist/Israel lobby.

cf. the fraudulent claim by the “CAA”, a year or so ago, that its chief, liar and (in my opinion) perjurer, Gideon Falter, had been barred by the Metropolitan Police from crossing a road by reason of his looking “visibly Jewish“.

They “demanded” the resignation of the Commissioner of Metropolitan Police on that occasion. He refused to play ball, many others were aware of the many fraudulent stunts attempted by Falter, “Slitherman” and other “CAA” types, so the scam failed, that time, as have others, e.g. the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe stunt attempted by dishonest Jew lawyer Mark Lewis, his wife/carer/CAA operative Mandy Blumenthal, and dishonest young Jewish newspaper scribbler and “CAA” supporter (now no longer scribbling) Sabrina Miller. The Russian protest seems somehow half-hearted. Maybe Putin is waiting to see what Trump’s actions will do in terms of splitting and splintering NATO. Same with the Greenland situation. Fertile fields for “conspiracy” speculation.

If NATO effectively ceases to carry weight, a shipload of oil is a small price to pay.
