Farage is, of course, correct. This blog has been warning about it for the past 8-9 years (since 2016/2017), and in exactly the same terms.

Societal collapse is not usually immediate, but may take decades, or even hundreds of years (as in “the Fall of the Roman Empire”). It does not necessarily look dramatic, especially in the early stages.

Notional result at election— Reform 304 MP (22 short of bare majority), Labour 171, LibDems 71, Cons 44, SNP 26 (etc).

The important thing is that, as in all opinion polls for almost the past year, Reform still leads Labour. Also, the decline of the Con Party continues. It is bumping along the bottom of its core support now. Most are very elderly people, and many of them will not even survive to see the next general election, still anything up to 4 years away. I feel that the Con Party is finished. It has lost relevance, and really much of its default credibility.

Quite atmospheric.

The Foreign Office once had a kind of down-at-heel outstation in Lower Regent Street, a building called Charles House. Further down the street, out of view of that painting (behind where the artist must have stood), and on the other side of the street, a building so unmemorable that few will have noticed its departure. I do not think that it even had “Foreign and Commonwealth Office” on the outside, just “Charles House”.

Just found it on Rightmove. Lease offered by something called Levy Properties or similar. Wouldn’t you know?…

The interior seen on Rightmove now looks very bright and open-plan, quite different to what it was in 1978 or 1979, when I had to go there once (some bureaucratic nonsense about my passport, which was being held by them).

The building was then very dark and gloomy, there were few if any people about, and the visitor (I was the only one, it seemed) was, and had to be, closely escorted by an unsmiling old dragon dressed in a dark-blue uniform, a bit like the female prison guards sometimes seen in old British films. The few windows were draped in thick and filthy net curtains (to deter both snoopers and bomb fragments; this was still IRA-terrorism days).

The dragon took me to the room in question, and waited for me outside, later escorting me back to the very unwelcoming front desk, and making sure I left.

That tweeter was the wife and (paid for via MP expenses) assistant to the former MP for Poole, who was narrowly binned at the 2024 General Election. She now runs a party or caucus called #Moderates, which seems to exist only in her own head. Why she thinks that the “Triple Lock” should be done away with, I do not know. Waste of money? I think that is wrong, looking at all the rubbish on which state funds are wasted. At least most pensioners are real British people, for one thing.

Basic Income is the way forward, though.

Any political party threatening the Triple Lock is doomed; pensioners will not vote for it, and the “grey vote” is the most important single factor in any UK general election.

Historical note

On 20 July 1944, military and civilian backstabbers, with varying motives, attempted to kill Adolf Hitler, and to take up the reins of state in the German Reich.

The plotters varied both in their motives and behaviour, some principled and, at least in their own minds, patriots of a sort, others unprincipled and/or out-and-out traitors. Some exhibited courage, others cowardice.

History is not black and white; it must be open to discussion, dissent, and revision, which is one reason why the quasi-mediaeval laws banning such revision in several EU and other countries (sub nom “holocaust” “denial” laws) are so wrong.

Today is only the 19th of July, but I may not publish a blog post tomorrow; we shall see.

One of the biggest problems Australia has always had, especially since the retirement of Sir Robert Menzies [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Menzies] has been the very poor quality of its senior (and other) politicians.

“THE heartbroken family of a man with Alzheimer’s say they feel ‘betrayed’ after a woman they employed to care for him stole ‘treasured’ and ‘irreplaceable’ items from the family home.

Rachel Goodman, who has a similar previous conviction, was said to have ‘exploited the family’s vulnerability in the most callous way possible’ after she admitted stealing sentimental items.

The defendant avoided immediate jail time when she was sentenced at Weymouth Magistrates Court.

Goodman, 54, was employed by Louise Woollam to care for her husband Richard, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, at their home in Shillingstone, near Blandford.

A court heard how the incident had such an impact on the family that Mr Woollam, a former RAF pilot, had to be placed in a care home.

The court heard Goodman stole items such as a diamond engagement ring which belonged to Mrs Woollam’s mother, earrings brought for Mrs Woollam by her husband, sunglasses, a watch, a snorkel, bedding, a throw, money – and a 250-year-old family heirloom.

Goodman, of Eastland Road, Yeovil, has 13 previous convictions, which includes conning an elderly woman out of £3,500 and for which she received a suspended sentence.

A victim impact statement read out in court by prosecutor, Christina Norgan, on behalf of Mrs Woollam, said: “My trust and security has been completely shattered by Rachel Goodman. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease which has already taken so much from us.

“She exploited our vulnerability in the most callous way possible. I could not go to work as I could not trust another carer in my home. I feel betrayed and broken-hearted.”

Kenny Sharp, mitigating, said: “Maximum credit for an early guilty plea. This is a person who is struggling to come to terms with the reality of what she did. Immediate custody would have a significant impact on her two children.“

The defendant was handed a 12-month custodial sentence suspended for two years. She must also complete 12 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and 200 hours of unpaid work.“

I disagree that 16-y-o people should vote. I should prefer a voting age of 28.

The 16-17 year-olds may, most of them, prefer Labour to other parties (at present), but most will not vote, and many may not vote for Labour, especially after the spending cuts etc.

I noted years ago on the blog that Starmer-stein seemed to be politically clueless.

The “Ukrainian Army” is a collection of sacrificial cannon-fodder, commanded (ineptly) by a bunch of thugs posing as military officers, right up to the rank of general. It is losing (by death, serious injury, and capture) about 1,000 a day, which is probably 2,000 a day if you take into account desertions. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that there are no volunteers any more, and that the regime has to use press-gangs to kidnap people off the street.

This could end with the USA on one side, and virtually every other country in the world on the other side.

The 20th Century was “the American Century” but we are now in a successor-situation.

If Moscow or Petersburg are hit by serious missile attacks, Kiev might find itself flattened by nuclear attack, and if the Germans continue to assist the Kiev regime to that extent, Germany makes itself a target.

Has that ship not already sailed? Interesting, though. Were Turkey to use its massive army against Israel, that might be the end of Israel, notwithstanding Israel’s nuclear weapons.

It is only just over a century since Ottoman Turkey ruled what are now called Lebanon, Israel, Syria, and many more current regional states beside.

Trump’s style of negotiation may seem impressive at times, but his waves break helplessly upon the rocks of Russia and China, the two other global major powers of the age.

Incidentally, I think that many naive people think that Schindler’s List, adapted from the novel, Schindler’s Ark, is “history”, a factual account of events, whereas it is actually “faction”, i.e. mixed fact and fiction. You might compare it to the book and film, Day of the Jackal. In the latter, most of the main characters existed, as did most of the surrounding factual basis— the Algerian conflict, the OAS, General de Gaulle, the rebel leaders etc. The story, however, was a skilful blend of real events and made-up events and people.

As a matter of fact, the author of Schindler’s Ark (at time of writing of this blog still alive at the age of 89), was only a small boy in the early 1940s, and is Australian. His book is a novel, not “history” as such.

Rachael Maskell. Think I have not heard of her previously. Looks and sounds actually insane, as Dan Hodges says (and rarely do I agree with him!). She must be mentally-ill. Alternatively, she looks as if she might be affected by some drug or other. Her demeanour is very odd.

I would, had I the political power, “stop the boats”.

How? By shooting down all cross-Channel invaders, and by rooting-out those facilitating the invasion (both on the European mainland and in the UK itself).

I should also “stop the boats” by degrading and punishing the Navy and Border Force (“Farce”) if they were to prove unable or unwilling to do their duty, then by replacing those orgs with another marine force, and/or by “privateers”, i.e. licensed “stop the boats” motor vessels crewed by bounty-hunters.

Further, I would task special forces (or, again, private and specially-licensed bounty-hunters, if necessary, i.e. if the SAS, SBS etc refuse to do their duty), those “privateers” or “bounty-hunters” to be charged with eliminating the gangsters in the EU (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany etc) who are facilitating much of the invasion. It seems clear that the USA was induced by the American Jewish lobby and Israel directly to attack Iran because Israel was in serious danger of losing the recent contest, its international airport closed, its ports mostly closed or avoided by foreign ships.

Those underground facilities in Iran indicate a long-term goal— regional hegemony. If Israel disappears, that leaves Iran as sole regional “superpower”, which may be why the craven Gulf Arabs are now effectively satraps of Israel and the USA. They are afraid of Iranian/Persian power.

Very true, but why leave out Cameron-Levita? Think facilitation of the fall of Gaddafi in Libya (which has been a major cause of the migration-invasion of Europe, certainly from Africa), and the demonization of the sick, disabled, unemployed etc (which admittedly started under Blair and Brown but was 10x worse under Cameron-Levita).

I have noted several times on the blog the ever-more-voluminous reservoir of non-voters and their potential power. More than 40% of eligible voters did not vote in 2024. That may or may not increase to 50%. If any movement could capture that 40%-50%, it would very likely also capture another 30%, and so 70%-80% of the national vote. Our time will then have come.

Trump gave Zelensky a warning to negotiate with Russia, a warning not only verbal but given in real-life terms, by temporarily cutting off arms and ammunition. If Zelensky ignores the warning, shipments will again be interrupted, and may never restart.

Zelensky’s unwillingness to give Russia most of what it wants means that the war will continue until Russia prevails over all eastern Ukraine (Ukraine east of the Dnieper), and that will eventually happen even if American armaments continue to be gifted to the Kiev regime.

Isn’t “democracy” wonderful? The people of Filton (Bristol) kicked out the former MP, Jack Lopresti (Conservative Friends of Israel), a thick one-time Italian ice-cream salesman, only to be saddled with “young and aspiring” Claire Hazelgrove (Labour Friends of Israel).

At 36 (37 next week), Claire Hazelgrove may be young-ish, but not, as far as I can see, very idealistic, and she obviously aspires to get as much money for herself as she can, though she has pledged not to take outside work (if offered, which is unlikely).

As to her “career” to date, nothing appears. Born in 1988, she read politics at the University of York, did a post-grad year at Bath, after which she seems to have done not very much. Her academic time must have ended in or about 2013. Then there appears to be a gap for about a decade until the General Election of 2024.

Finally, “deportation” of the Gazan population to areas where the Israeli Jews are setting up concentration camps. They, the Israeli Jews themselves, call those areas concentration camps (in unguarded moments).

Gaza then to be repopulated by Zionist Jew fanatics from “Israel” or the slum areas of Brooklyn etc.

The problem here, the source of the problem, lies not only in Israel but in the USA, London, Paris etc.

Stray thought on a hot day

In such a hot season as we now have in southern England, there is always, and now is, a plague of some kind of flying ants. I dislike killing anything (even “weeds”, noxious insects etc), but there are times when one just has to steel oneself, get the insecticide, and try to eliminate the nests of the flying ants, while also directly crushing stray insects that pop up.

I can smell the “diversity” from here… either the two blacks are “boat people” or (more likely) are just part of the “multicultural” “diversity” rabble which has overrun London, among other cities, for decades.

The miscreants know that the store employees are told not to use force, they know that the shoppers nearby will not try to stop them, either because they don’t want to be seen as “racist” or because they don’t care about the multi-hundred million profits of Waitrose and the like being impacted (in fact I have some sympathy with the latter point of view).

The untermenschen in question are unafraid of the police, firstly because it is quite unlikely that the police will even turn up; also, because if the police actually do turn up, there is every chance that the police people will be young women frightened of them and who, if then assaulted, will wail and cry like little girls (as recently seen in other cases) and be utterly useless.

Finally, of course, the “perps” know that, if actually arrested, they will almost certainly get bail pending any trial and/or sentence and, if actually sentenced to imprisonment (unlikely), will get a sentence measured in weeks, will only serve 40% or, soon, perhaps 20% of the headline time, and so will soon be back “at it” within weeks or even days. Even a 10-week sentence is now really 4 weeks, and may soon be 2 weeks. If that…

I was just looking at a local newspaper report. Someone (with 145 “previous”!) was sentenced to 10 weeks for similar crimes. Point proven. The prisons are full for several reasons, but anyway mostly full of blacks and browns, rather than real British people. Not entirely, but mostly, looking at proportions etc.

Both are a problem. I myself would certainly not wear my Rolex Seadwellers, if I still had any of them (sold long ago to fund survival in a finance-capitalist society, sadly), and if I still lived in London.

Obviously, the replacement of real Brits by blacks, browns, and others, is a tragic disaster, whereas the crime problem is “only” 95% connected to the migration invasion and “diversity”.
