“A friend of mine was very high-ranking in the British Army during the Iraq war and knew Tony Blair personally. When I asked what he was like he told me that Blair is ‘demon-possessed’. He was quite serious and meant this literally. This surprised me as he is a mild-mannered, diplomatic man and not given to overstatement.”

I have no idea of the provenance and authenticity of that statement, but it rings true.

Fraudulent perjurer and one-time Con politician (“con” in both senses), Jeffrey Archer, says that he has been surprised by how many people he has “met in the street” who say they are going to vote for Farage and Reform UK. I expect that it would surprise a dishonest chancer of the Archer type. He fails to see (or prefers not to see) that voters are turning to Reform not because Farage is (as Archer puts it) “the best mob orator since Michael Foot or Tony Benn” (the now-deceased fake “socialist” traitors and poseurs) but because the old System parties, Con, Lab, and LibDem, have run the UK into the ground, particularly over the last 35 years, arguably for far longer. The voters are intending to vote Reform not because of Farage, or indeed Reform itself, but because Reform is the only (quasi-) credible game in town that is not Lib, Lab, or Con.

It must be easier for Archer to “meet people in the street” now. The only time I myself ever saw him in the street was in the 1980s (I forget when exactly, probably circa 1985), somewhere in the Westminster area. As he exited one of several cars, his retinue of bodyguards and/or other idiots got in my way as I walked along the pavement. I actually had to walk onto the roadway to get past as that silly little man, about 5 feet tall, marched self-importantly inside a building, surrounded by his entourage of besuited nobodies. F*** him…

The devil is in the detail. Government, both central and local, needs revenue from various taxes, but what matters is not only how much is raised but also how and where it is spent. Much of the tax burden accomplishes little because the monies raised are mis-spent.

I was always anti the death penalty, but that was when this was a semi-decent, semi-civilized European country. It is now time to treat the untermenschen how they should be treated, to control them until we can get rid of them en masse one way or another.

The best part of that, if it happens, will be the grief and despair of all the Con and Lab careerist MPs, suddenly chucked out, and losing their ~£100,000+ p.a. salaries, their expense accounts, their networking opportunities etc. I’m lovin’ it!

That would be gamechanging in several ways, socially as well as politically. Politically, obviously, massive. The LibDems, though only with 68 MPs (fewer than they now have) as official Opposition in the Commons; the rout of Starmer-stein Friends of Israel “Labour”; also, the utter collapse of the once-great Conservative Party. 11 MPs! Brilliant. Just what they deserve (well, if what I would do to them were taken off the table). 11 MPs. Finished. Totally.

In fact, if that poll is realized in a general election, the fake Conservative Party will have only 3 MPs more (11) than the fairly pathetic Green Party (8).

Imagine a former Conservative (she is the ex-wife of the one-time Con Party MP for Poole, who “employed” her via his MP expenses; he was voted out in 2024) who favours making British pensioners poorer so that (mostly non-European or non-white) families with several children can extract more money from the State!

The fact is, that “digital ID” would do nothing to stop or “control” illegal migration-invasion (which is, in any case, only 5% or so of all migration into the UK).

Academic argument anyway. The Starmer-stein government of utter clowns may be able to get the proposed new law (and this would require new law) through the Commons, thanks to his GE 2024 majority of young, know-nothing, fake-Labour MPs, but to get the new law through the Lords may be a great deal more difficult.

Many older people do not even have a “smartphone”. I had a mobile telephone before most people; from 1992, I think, certainly in 1993, but now that I do not have to have one (as I did when a practising barrister), I choose not to have one, for several reasons.

Will older people (65+) not in possession of a smartphone be forced to buy one? Will they be exempted? We do not know.

Such telephones cost hundreds of pounds, too.

I can see this being yet another Starmer disaster for Labour. Good in that respect, then.

Of course, behind the “digital ID” plan are the usual sinister forces and secretive cabals, as we saw during the “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic.

I have blogged in the past about how very many people (including, weirdly, many who were at least in their teens then, and so actually of an age to remember) say, and even perhaps believe, that the 1970s in the UK were some kind of dark age in which the electricity was off most of the time, in which bodies were left unburied by reason of industrial action, in which trains and buses rarely ran, in which rubbish piled up in the towns and cities, in which there was a “three day week” when offices and factories were closed for four days each week, and in which life was generally miserable (for example, food was terrible, they say).

The above-noted fabled dystopia was, we are told, the result of overreaching trade union power and Labour misgovernment.

Where to start?

First of all, the party in power for the first 4 years of the 1970s was the Conservative Party: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1970_United_Kingdom_general_election, and of course Mrs Thatcher won again for the Conservatives in 1979: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_United_Kingdom_general_election.

In other words, out of the 10 years, Labour was in power for about 6 years. Labour government was in place from the early 1960s until mid-1970, then from early 1974 until mid-1979.

One interesting fact is that, in the 1966 General Election, the “two main parties” (Lab/Con) got exactly 98% of Commons seats on just under 90% of the popular vote: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_United_Kingdom_general_election#Results.

Compare to 2024: 81.8% of seats based on 57.4% of the popular vote.

In 1966, the winning party (Labour) got 48% of the popular vote, the losing Conservatives 41.9%.

In 2024, Labour got 33.7%, and the losing Conservatives only 23.7%.

The electoral system has become not just unfair but also illogical and ridiculous. It no longer reflects reality.

Reverting to the general situation in the 1970s, the much-talked-about “Three Day Week” only affected, directly, commercial operations (which were banned from using electricity on the other four days). The Three Day Week only lasted for two months. Out of 10 years (120 months).

I saw the Three Day Week firsthand. I was working, aged just 18, as supposed assistant manager in a very small commercial intelligence outfit based in the Strand (London). The office only had 5 people including me, though we did have a network of mostly ad-hoc agents all over the southern and eastern parts of England (anywhere south or southwest of The Wash). Much of the work was in Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Essex. The agents were often retired Army officers who, on being contacted, would —eagerly— say something such as “right-oh, old boy. I’ll fire up the Rover and get onto it.”

I must do a blog post sometime about it.

There were, in the early 1970s, strikes by coal miners etc, resulting in a few brief power cuts (“outages”, as the Americans say), but they lasted for a few hours a day, for a few days. Out of 10 years, again.

In the “Winter of Discontent” (1978-79), there were, for a few weeks, situations in some towns and cities whereby rubbish piled up, yes; that much of the “fable” is true, but only for a brief time. As for the “bodies left unburied“, that only applied in Liverpool and Manchester and only for 14 days: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_of_Discontent#Gravediggers’_strike.

In fact, though the 1970s had its problems political, social, economic, Britain still had possibilities. The population was still almost entirely white Northern European, new ideas and projects were around or developing (the Milton Keynes conurbation, the Open University, new express trains, cross-Channel hovercraft etc), and the absurd and damaging house-price madness, though it had started, was still in its early stages.

Britain still had a functioning Army, Navy, Air Force (etc), and a police force that mainly did its expected job and was not usually the sort of poundshop Stasi we now see, snooping on or “monitoring” the expression of views and opinions.

Incidentally, the food was OK back then on the whole. Slightly less cosmopolitan, yes, but in the South of England at least, foreign foods such as hummus, taramasalata, olives, Indian, Chinese, etc were ubiquitous. In fact, some food was better and more available back then.

What I find worrying is not only that people who were not there, or were small children, are convinced that England in 1970-1979 was a dark and gloomy place; more that people who were there seem to have substituted, for what actually happened, a kind of folk-tale.

As for Jewish-lobby puppet Robert Largan, who was parachuted into the constituency of High Peak (Derbyshire) and served as MP from GE 2019 to GE 2024, he was only born in 1987.

If people cannot recall accurately the 1970s, how much less accurate must be the “memories”, often publicized, of the 1930s and 1940s.“

Former MP Robert Largan, who has, in past years, tweeted about me a couple of times in a hostile manner, and who crowed mightily on behalf of the malicious Jew-Zionist pro-Israel cabal, “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, when his own constituent, Alison Chabloz, was imprisoned for having (notionally, supposedly) “offended” Jews by having sung songs , lost his Commons seat in 2024. I think that Largan wants to come back as MP for High Peak, but that will probably prove to be a vain hope. Largan’s only hope would be to join Reform UK, and then hope to be selected as their candidate for High Peak. Very unlikely, though “never say never” in politics.

Incidentally, on that same blog post from last October, I noted Matt Goodwin’s excited tweet about how Reform UK had reached its highest-ever opinion poll level— 20%! Here we are, just under a year later, and Reform is at about or as high as 35%, and rarely goes below 30%.

We have no need to read scholarly works about the ancient Medes and Persians to see that the relationship between economic strength and military strength is elastic, not simple. Look at North Korea: economically near zero in conventional terms, yet a major regional power militarily, and one which, if it were to acquire deliverable nuclear weapons, might be regarded as a potential world power.

Well, the French Army (l’armee de terre) has, including all reserves, a strength of 150,000, so if casualties evacuated are to be 50,000, the dead and wounded together might be around (?) 75,000, i.e. half the strength of the entire land army.

Is Macron really intending to get involved in a war with Russia? Does he really think that he can re-introduce conscription in France? If so, how long does he think that he has to get untrained youths battle-ready from scratch?

When I worked with Miriam, I had gone into the staff room tearful after seeing that the IOF had ran over and bulldozed a Palestinian Trauma and Orthopaedics patient (with a leg cast on) and killed him. Since that is my speciality, I felt like it could have been any of my patients. This is what I told Miriam when she turned to see why I was upset. What did Miriam say? ‘Too bad.’ After being fired from the Whittington, it was Miriam who removed me from the work group chats (see picture). The Daily Mail article was published in February 2025—a couple of days after I won my first GMC investigation (initiated by UKLFI). The title was: ‘Are Jews Safe In The NHS?’. It was revenge against the @gmcuk, the @NHSuk, and Britain for not persecuting me. In May 2025, I decided to submit a complaint against Miriam to the GMC for: · Breach of Honesty and Integrity and Weaponising Media Platforms for Personal or Political Gain: Lies in the Daily Mail meant to silence and intimidate me from my anti-genocide activism. · Lack of Compassion and Empathy: Regarding the killing of a Palestinian patient. · Discrimination: Against me as a part-Palestinian colleague. Nigerian woman Kemi Badenoch was declared the new Conservative Party leader on 2 November 2024. She is therefore immune from formal challenge until 3 November 2025. As of that date, Con Party MPs are entitled to put in letters of dissatisfaction to the Chairman of the 1922 Committee. A leadership election can be triggered by letters sent by 15% or more of Con Party MPs. That would be a mere 18 MPs at present.

My expectation is that Kemi Badenoch will face a leadership election process before the end of 2025. The first step after the election having been triggered would be a knockout ballot of MPs, in which all candidates (each having 10+ nominations) would take part; there would be a maximum of 12 candidates (because there are only 120 MPs).

Assuming that Kemi Badenoch does not step down, she would be one of those candidates, but it is quite likely that she would be eliminated early on, after her disastrous performance in the past 10 months. The Conservative Party is now as low as 15% in the polls, a level which, at a general election, might mean a cadre of as few as 20 —or even, possibly, 10— Con Party MPs in the post-GE Commons. If so, the Con Party would be only the 5th-largest party in the Commons (after Reform, Labour, LibDems, and the SNP), and might only be the 6th-largest.

Anyway, looks to me that it’s bye-bye Kemi quite soon, either way.

Mein Gott! No wonder the main System parties are now pulling every dirty trick known to slime-politics against Reform!

That opinion poll translates to a Commons with no less than 450 Reform UK MPs, Lab 61, LibDems 52, SNP 43, Cons 14, Greens 6 (etc).

Whether you call it (were it to happen) a very large majority for Reform, a “supermajority”, or a peaceful revolution, the fact is that such a result would render the existing System parties irrelevant and, certainly in the case of the Conservative Party, redundant, or near-dead.

Among Con Party MPs for the chop would be Kemi Badenoch, Suella Braverman, Priti Patel, Kit Malthouse, Mel Stride, and Robert Jenrick. I have not worked out who would be among the 14 left standing, but that would be merely of academic interest anyway, were there to be such a cull.

Cleverly was a bad joke as Foreign Secretary but not by reason of the fact that, like David Lammy, he is non-white (actually a half-caste), because Liz Truss and “Boris”-idiot were both mainly white British, and they were also bad jokes in the role (and both later became bad-joke Prime Ministers). Cleverly was a bad joke, like all others mentioned, by reason of his ignorance and stupidity.

The lady tweeter might like to note what all of those (Badenoch, Sunak, Cleverly) except Jenrick have in common— non-whites. Most British voters will, even after decades of msm brainwashing, not prefer a non-white as Prime Minister. It is not the only factor voters take into account, but it is one factor. They are, in effect, not even voting for MPs, but for a party, and a Prime Minister-designate.

I should imagine that the lady tweeter, Fiona-Natasha Syms, once married to —and employed via expenses by— a Conservative MP who lost his seat by only 7 votes in 2024) is correct that Jenrick will replace Badenoch as Con Party leader. Jenrick is not merely, in neurolinguistic terms, modelling Farage and Reform UK, but almost mirroring them.

The Conservative Party is actually without a purpose or role now. The England (Britain, but mainly England) from which it came has largely disappeared. Its former heartland or core— the rural counties, the patriotic working and middle classes and the landowning and factory-owning classes, have all morphed into different creatures entirely.

The Empire, Commonwealth (in any real way), monarchy, have gone, or effectively gone to perdition. The Con Party in 2025 is basically the property of the Jew-Zionist lobby, the Indian and other ultra-wealthy cabals etc, and is totally out of touch with British people and events.

Civil wars (which is really what the Russia-Ukraine conflict is) are bitter and awkward. The USA really only emerged from the shadow of the American Civil War a century or so after it finished; maybe in the 1980s, so well over a century later.

Of course. At age 25, they will be drafted. Their answer? To flee the fake state of “Ukraine” and try to live elsewhere. To be drafted, and then sent to the Kiev regime’s crumbling front lines, is a death sentence.

I am no expert on aviation, but my understanding is that, unlike commercial-fleet passenger or freight aircraft, and most bomber aircraft, fighter aircraft are made, quite deliberately, unstable, in order to be swiftly manoeuvrable by a skilled pilot. In the past, some fighter aircraft have been almost unusable for that reason; the Lockheed Starfighter of the 1960s was one such.

Long-term and regular readers of the blog will know that I have blogged a few times about the month I spent at the oasis of Siwa in the Western Desert of Egypt in 1998 (part of three straight months I spent in Egypt that year). Siwa had slave caravans coming through from Central Africa to the Nile and Nile Delta right up until the 1940s, I think the late 1940s.

Williams-Gillett reached through the window and took his car keys. When his pregnant partner asked for the keys back, Williams-Gillett tried to punch her. By now the dad 50, had come back down the stairs and tried to pull Williams-Gillett away from the partner, triggering a brutal assault.

“Your response to that was to launch a violent attack on him. To stab him repeatedly to his face, so hard the keys were bent out of shape from the impact,” said Judge Baraitser.

Unable to start the car, the man phoned his cousin for help, while Williams-Gillett’s brother Fabian Bennett also arrived carrying a metal baseball bat. Bennett immediately set to work on the dad with the baseball bat, hitting his legs, ribs, and body. Williams-Gillett also joined in the beating, kicking the dad and using the baseball bat.

Bennett then turned to the pregnant woman, grabbed her by the throat, and bent her backwards over a fence while goading her partner ‘using her as bait’. When the cousin arrived in his Citroen, the man and his partner got in the car while Williams-Gillett used the bat to smash the windows, including where a child was sitting.

The cousin was punched in the face, but the first male victim managed to drive everyone away leaving his Hyundai behind. When he came back to get the car, the doors had been broken and his partner’s purse containing £350 in cash and her Monzo card was stolen.

Williams-Gillett was sentenced to 18 months suspended for 20 months with 25 days rehabilitation activity requirement. He must also pay £1,700 in compensation. Bennett got 12 months suspended for 18 months with 25 days rehabilitation activity requirement. He must pay £500 compensation.”

Neither side should be directly targeting civilians.

Britain is little better, these days. The influence of Jewish-lobby, Israel-lobby orgs is pervasive, not only in politics but also in the mass media, law, and other areas of society.

Stunning. Translates to about 394 MPs for Reform UK, an official majority of 68, in reality about 80.

Labour 83 MPs (the lowest predicted in recent times, I believe; in 1931, Labour scored only 52 MPs). Labour’s predicted 83 MPs result is all the more stunning following Starmer-Labour’s 411 MPs, elected only a year ago, at GE 2024.

LibDems are predicted to get 56 MPs, Cons 43, SNP 40, Greens 8 (etc).

As I have been saying for years on the blog, we in the UK, particularly in England, are in a negative-voting situation, in which people vote against, not for.

It just so happens that both the main System parties have pretty much burned their boats with the voting public. That does not mean that people really enthuse much about Reform UK and Farage etc. It means, simply, that most white English people, especially, are now completely hostile to both Lab and Con. They are willing to vote Reform as a last throw of the “democratic” dice. If —and when— Reform govern, or try to govern, and fail, then the people will be ready to turn to a proper social national alternative.

This puts Farage and Reform in a strong position. Because people are well aware that Farage and Reform and, indeed, most Reform candidates, MPs etc, are rather underwhelming, little scandal can really touch them, because the voters seem now very ready to vote against both Lab and Con, and because Reform is the only game in town that carries any weight at present, electorally.

I agree, overall. However, the pro-Reform vote is really, and as Goodwin’s own argument shows, a vote against the System parties and against mass immigration, inter alia. It is not really a vote for any particular policy programme.

Not that that really matters in electoral terms. If it comes to pass, that poll means that 328 Labour MPs will be binned in or before 2029, as will 77 Conservative Party MPs (including Alex Burghart, James Cleverly, Dunce Duncan Smith, Christopher Chope, Mel Stride, Simon Hoare, Helen Whately, David Davis, Caroline Dineage, Kit Malthouse, Julian Lewis, Desmond Swayne, Rishi Sunak, Nick Timothy, Andrew Mitchell, Katie Lam, Priti Patel, Suella Braverman, Robert Jenrick and, last but not least, Carpetbagger Kemi Badenoch herself).

If it happens, that must mean the end of the Conservative Party as a serious political force, notwithstanding its long history and the predicted bloc of 43 surviving the cull of two-thirds of the Con Party MPs.

Even now, in 2025, the Conservative Party appears totally irrelevant.

The predicted huge cull of Labour MPs would include such names as Angela Rayner, Jess Phillips, Christian Wakeford, Mary Creagh, Ed Miliband, Mike Tapp, Luke Akehurst (one of the most “controlled” Israel puppets), John McDonnell, Bridget Phillipson, Wes Streeting, Rachel “from Accounts and Customer Relations” Reeves, Liz Kendall, Nia Griffith, Yvette Cooper, Anna Turley, Chris Bryant, Paul Waugh, Sarah Champion, Rebecca Long-Bailey, Kim Leadbeater, Gareth Snell, Heidi Alexander, Angela Eagle, Lisa Nandy, and Emma Reynolds.

Any barrister, at least any barrister grounded in reality (I myself am no longer any kind of barrister, a wrongful and unlawful disbarment having been instigated by a pack of Jews in 2016), can tell you why a jury has acquitted that anti-white black agitator who called openly in the street for white British people to have their throats cut.

The chances are that the jury was mainly or entirely composed of non-whites. I used to appear from time to time at Snaresbrook Crown Court in the early 1990s and, in 1992, as a Bar pupil (trainee), was there several times a month, my pupillage having been part-criminal.

Even in the 1990s, the juries at Snaresbrook were often, in fact usually, at least partly non-white. Scroll on about 32 or 33 years and one can imagine that that is now even more the case.

Add to that the fact that many jurors in London are now people who are quite opposed to “law and order” generally (and that applies even more to Snaresbrook Crown Court, the catchment area for jurors of which being East London; Snaresbrook has a relatively high acquittal rate).

Remember the O.J. Simpson original trial in California? Despite the American msm bs (I was in the USA at the time), the fact is that the defence, shorn of a huge amount of (mostly) nonsense, amounted to “the victim was white, the defendant black, so the black jury should acquit the black of killing the white“. Which is what happened.

I used to go occasionally to the very small (and now shut down by reason of spending cuts) Penzance County Court about 18-23 years ago. I think the last case I did there was about the loss, and valuation, of a rather expensive diamond ring.

There is now effectively nothing left of the original, or even original post-WW2 (1945-1989), Labour Party.

The irrelevance of the Conservative Party is plainly seen there. Despite Starmer-stein having a disapproval rating of 60%, and Kemi Badenoch having one of “only” 35%, when it comes to positive approval, the two are both down in the trough of public esteem: Starmer 23%, Kemi Badenoch 24%. Indeed, fewer people actively disapprove of Kemi Badenoch (35%) than disapprove of Farage (41%), but when it comes to positive approval, Farage, on 37%, easily outpaces Kemi Badenoch’s 24%.

41% of people are unsure as to whether they approve or disapprove of Kemi Badenoch, a sure sign that she has made little impression on the public (and it can be seen that what impression she has made is mostly not favourable). By contrast, only 22% of the public are “unsure” about Farage— people either approve or disapprove of him, in almost equal numbers.

People are even more sure about Starmer. Only 17% are “unsure” about him, but 60% disapprove of him.

Quite simple. 14 years of total maladministration and misgovernment finished the Conservative Party with most of the electorate, though 3 out of every 12 voters who voted (3 out of every 20 eligible) still voted Con in 2024 (Labour had 4 out of 20 or 4 out of 12). Most of those Con voters were over 60 years of age, many over 80. They have mostly now gone to Reform UK, and many are expiring daily by reason of old age etc. The next general election may not be until 2029; how many habitual Con voters will have expired by then?

The young (anyone under 30, indeed the vast majority under 40) will not be voting Con. Most of the ethnic minority (rapidly becoming majority) voters prefer Labour or other parties. So who is left?

Once again, the “snake in the grass” here is the Jewish-Zionist/Israel lobby in the UK, which has most of the politicians of the two main System parties (and Reform, too, it seems) in its pocket. The (((lobby))) wants many many organizations banned or prosecuted; it wants many individuals prosecuted, too (they have already tried it with me: see below:

Strange that that former Conservative Party tweeter, Fiona-Natasha Syms (her ex-husband was Conservative Party MP for Poole until 2024; he lost by a mere 18 votes; and she worked for him, paid generously out of her ex-husband’s MP expenses) thinks that (of all people) Yvette Cooper is to be admired. Nein danke! Yvette Cooper is a would-be dictator, very dishonest, a moneygrubber and expenses cheat (as was her husband, Ed Balls), and a “refugees welcome” dimwit to boot! Also, like all of Starmer-stein’s Cabinet —except a few servile Muslims— a member of Labour Friends of Israel.

Short-sighted Con voters in some parts of England have, in the past couple of decades, shown themselves willing, in my view very wrongly, to vote for non-Europeans such as Kemi Badenoch as their constituency MP, so long as the right party label is affixed. Putting promises of low taxation etc above racial or national pride. That has led to the brainless Conservatives imagining that the country as a whole will vote, in effect, for a party led by a non-white MP. Very misguided. Look at Sunak.

True, that was not the only factor that sank the Conservatives at GE2024, but it was one important factor. Sunak was, in that sense, more “electable” than Kemi Badenoch. After all, people look at Indians en masse and see business, at least some organizational skills and, in Sunak’s case, a UK upbringing. Added to that, the vast wealth of his wife’s family and so his own wealth, meaning that, whether rightly or wrongly, he is at least perceived to be “in it” not for personal money reasons. Compare that to Kemi Badenoch, a loudmouth careerist carpetbagger.

Most Brits, not unfairly, look at Nigeria and see chaotic maladministration, corruption even worse than that of India, and nothing at all to admire. Kemi Badenoch was not even brought up in the UK. Her parents made sure that she was born in London, so that (under the law as it then was, in 1980) she could later claim a British passport, but she was only in the UK for a few days before being returned to Nigeria. She lived there and in the USA until at least age 16.

For those who say that Kemi Badenoch is scarcely a typical Nigerian, well, yes. As F. Scott Fitzgerald said, in effect (not an exact quotation), “the rich are different from you and me; they have more money“.

Yes, Kemi Badenoch is not a typical Nigerian. I have known a few like her, such as the Nigerian princess with whom I was acquainted in the mid/late 1980s, and whose (much older) husband was a Federal High Court judge in Nigeria. However, the basic model is still there, not far under the surface. (if anyone is interested, that Nigerian princess was shot dead in her luxury apartment in Lagos , nearly 30 years ago; Lagos is a rather dangerous place).

I just cannot believe that the British public will vote for a Prime Minister who is a Nigerian woman. The very idea, at least to me, is utterly farcical.

When you add to that her abrasive personality etc, you see how disastrous Kemi Badenoch is for the Conservative Party, which looks increasingly irrelevant.

Anyone who has had to deal with the chaotic crazy mess called “HMRC” will be familiar with the term “Kafka-esque“. In fact, HMRC reminded me slightly of the 1950 comic novel, The Way Backwards.

Translates to about 414 Reform UK MPs, 94 Labour, 54 LibDems, 37 SNP, Cons 21.

That would be a Commons majority greater than that of Starmer in 2024, and almost as great as that of Blair in 1997. Prior to that, very large majorities were achieved in the early 1930s, in the 1920s, and by Earl Grey’s government of 1832. All times of sweeping change.

Of course, 32% of the popular vote is not huge in historical terms, but is about what Starmer-Labour gathered-in in 2024. It hardly matters that your vote is “only” 32% if your main opponents are getting 20% and 16%.

Incidentally, I see that lying perjurer Gideon Falter, the head or figurehead of the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, was allowed to publish a fairly long opinion piece in the Daily Telegraph. The horrible little bastard had the sheer gall to write about the small number of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza that they now look like Jews starved in German camps at the end of the Second World War.

That at a time when an Arab Palestinian population in the many hundreds of thousands, including huge numbers of civilians (many of them children), is being deliberately starved to death in Gaza by the (Israeli) Jews, a para-military campaign backed to the hilt by (non-Israeli) Jews such as Falter.

As a matter of fact, I should not be surprised if Falter, effectively an agent of influence of a foreign power, Israel, is not an Israeli passport-holder himself, perhaps a dual Israel/UK passport-holder (maybe even a triple passport-holder (Israel/UK/Austria).

I accept that the hostages in Gaza should be released, but the Palestinians have been pushed to the genocidal brink, and have few chips to play.

Israel should also release its own prisoners, of course. Some of them have also been brutalized and starved.

I once stayed overnight at Mappin’s hotel, a Victorian castle hotel at Tintagel, North Cornwall, the one-time seat of King Arthur. In late 2001; December 2001. It was not really run properly as “an hotel” should be; I believe that, since then, it has been taken in hand by Mappin, the heir to a very considerable fortune (think Mappin & Webb, the jewellers). I just read today that he bought it in 1999.

When I was there, it was hugely atmospheric, like a decayed private castle, an effect emphasized by the fact that my wife and I were the only guests, and the staff, in the evening at least, consisted of a not terribly welcoming middleaged Englishman and his (possibly Austrian) wife. I recall that our rather cold room (I think it may have had a four-poster, and an ancient bar fire set into the wall) cost £200 a night, quite expensive in the money of 24 years ago. Akin maybe to £400+ today.

I well recall, after eating informally at a local pub in the nearby village (no restaurant open then at the Castle), being seated before a Hollywood-film-scale blazing fire in the Great Hall, and being served a double or triple Irish whiskey, the absence of other guests making it seem as if we were in our own home (or castle).

In the morning, a very pleasant and very rickety old retainer-woman served breakfast in a long gallery, her tiny grandchild hanging onto her skirts, as the Cornish winter waves crashed onto the rocks below, as in Rebecca.

“Ukraine” (Kiev regime) “fighting until it wins the war” is now impossible. It always was, even if “victory” means merely taking over the oblasti of Crimea, Lugansk, and Donetsk (rather than any capture of the territory of pre-2014 Russia or destruction of the Russian armies in the field).

Reality has now been accepted by the vast majority of Ukrainians, and I expect that a majority would now accept Russian rule over all Ukraine east of the Dnieper.
