That aside, the sentence seems extraordinarily harsh.
10.5 years as headline sentence means that he might spend over 5 years in prison, though he might also get released earlier than that on licence; but he must, realistically, be looking at at least 3-4 years actually inside, unless he can appeal successfully on sentence.
Starmer-stein only took a couple of months to be comprehensively exposed to the general public as useless, but he seems (and “the chosen” backing him in a Labour Friends of Israel government seem) to want to cling on to power for as long as possible.

It looks as if the continuing Reform surge in the opinion polls is causing both main System parties to examine whether they have total deadheads at the top (they do).
It may be that both Starmer-stein and Kemi Badenoch will be ousted.
The opinion polls continue to show the former “three main parties” –LibLabCon— at a combined total of around 40%-50% (10%-20% each), while Reform sits variously between 27% and 36%, with the joke Green Party now on a similar level to Lab and Con, and well ahead of the LibDem dustbin-alternative party.
The fact is that, whatever scandals may hit Reform, the polling might not much change, and for one simple reason: people are intending to vote Reform not because they love or much respect Farage and/or his party, but because they do not want LibLabCon, and in fact want to stamp on them. Also, because the UK is sliding to a very desperate situation, and people are now finally starting to wake up to that.

It may still get a seat or two (Corbyn himself may be nailed on) but many of its potential voters will go elsewhere, the white ones to the Greens, amusingly enough, and the Muslims to some specifically Muslim party or to Galloway’s “Workers’ Party”, if it has a candidate in any particular constituency.

I think that, in the back of the Turkish mind is the knowledge that much of the Middle East was merely a part of the Ottoman Empire, and not so long ago— until 1922, little more than a century ago.

I recall my own visit to the Kremlin in 1993. A tourist visit to the Kremlin, in effect, though I was in Moscow on business. Most of my time, though, was my own.
I paid my few roubles early one summer morning, after having swum, as usual, at the Moskva swimming pool at Kropotkinskaya. I would have been the first visitor that morning, had I not gone to sleep in the sun while sitting on a low wall by the little ticket kiosk (now replaced by a modern visitor centre); a Russian family thus bought their tickets ahead of me. In fact, it was their arguing with the ticket lady that woke me up.
My komplekt of tickets entitled me to visit all parts of the Kremlin open to paying visitors (other areas are closed off for the exclusive use of the Russian Government; the Kremlin is more or less like Whitehall, but inside a walled fortification). I visited the Kremlin churches (I was the only visitor, in fact, at that hour). I also wandered around other parts and saw, from above, the green Land Rover of the British Ambassador arriving, Union Jack bravely flying in the slight breeze.

There is still a disinclination to understand that the “scamdemic” or “panicdemic” was a massive psy-op right across the world. So many people still believe that there was a genuine and deadly “global pandemic”…
Now there is a real public health danger, as millions fall victim by reason of the “vaccines” having caused serious medical problems, especially heart problems. Huge numbers of people, often healthy young people, worldwide have just dropped dead.
One aspect of the years 2020-2022 was the way in which a combination of repressive pseudo-public-health “measures” (invalid laws, regulations made superficially under those laws, and State propaganda, amplified by very well-paid “useful idiots” such as Piers Morgan, James O’Brien etc), enforced compliance.
Any dissidents were labelled, in the Press, on radio etc, “Covidiots” for saying (as I did, on the blog) that people camping on deserted Welsh hills, or walking in the Peak District, or taking a spin on the empty roads on their motorbikes or in their own cars, were not thereby “killing people” etc.
Some people even got prosecuted and convicted for such terrible crimes as having a picnic, though most of such convictions were later overturned when the hysteria had somewhat abated.
The police were particularly stupid during the “Covid” panic. In fact, I should say that the present contempt for the police in the UK, though it had been developing for a number of years, is mainly a reaction to the memory of police shouting from helicopters at elderly couples walking on hills, and examining people’s shopping to adjudge whether purchases were “reasonable” or not (!), which is and was not the job of the police; neither are they authorized by law to do that.
The reach of the State has extended, partly by reason of the craven response of most of the public to the dictatorial measures imposed during the scamdemic/panicdemic. For example, you can now not only be arrested, charged, indeed imprisoned, for owning a copy (hard copy or online copy) of such a work as the 1970s Anarchist’s Cookbook, but also even for simply owning a machete or the like, even if kept in your own home. Some such laws that existed prior to 2020 (eg about supposed “terrorist materials”) are now seemingly used more often, indeed often against young people (sometimes still at school). Socio-political hysteria.
Just as well that the Rhodesian Army panga (a kind of machete), in a handsome light-tan thick leather sheath, which I brought back from my visit to Rhodesia in 1977, was later stolen by the staff of the Kazakh removals company which moved my personal possessions (at least, the ones they did not steal) from Almaty to London 20+ years later.
Well, the “panicdemic” is now history, though attempts are still made to revive it, and with it the control-State of 2020-2022, but new panics have been substituted. At present, the panic all over the mass media is around the non-existent threat of Russian invasion of Western Europe, including the UK. It’s rubbish, of course, but the unthinking part, maybe a majority, of the public seem ready to believe that “we” “have to” fight Russia quite soon.

This “Labour” (Labour Friends of Israel) government offers the British people nothing, nothing at all. Both evil and stupid.
Well, I managed to beat political journalist John Rentoul again, despite scoring only 5/10 (had 2 near-misses as well). Rentoul awarded himself 2/10, plus two half-points, this week. I knew the answers to questions 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8.
“Hundreds of thousands of dementia patients in England face being denied access to revolutionary new drugs because the diagnostic capacity of the NHS lags behind every other G7 country, according to a damning report.
After decades of research to find a cure for the condition projected to affect 153 million people worldwide by 2050, scientists have successfully developed the first treatments to tackle the underlying causes rather than only relieve the symptoms. Two new drugs could get the green light for use on the NHS within weeks.
However, their effectiveness depends on prompt and early diagnosis of patients. The report, obtained by the Guardian, says the NHS lacks the diagnostic capacity to accurately identify those eligible in time.
The analysis reveals England is unprepared for the rollout of new treatments, with “large gaps in diagnostic capacity” for dementia. It also warns of a £14bn funding black hole that must be plugged if England is to diagnose dementia as quickly as the other G7 countries, the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.“
I have to say that the few Palestinians I have met (mostly in Qatar and around) have impressed me in that way, and far more favourably than the arrogant and stupid Gulf Arabs (Qataris and Kuwaitis) also met.
Sometime in the 1970s, I think probably in late 1977, I met the PLO representative in London, Said Hammami, who was based at the Arab League offices in Mayfair, and he was rather dismissive, but in retrospect I suppose that he had things on his mind, and probably little time in which to speak to a young person (21-y-o) with his head in the clouds in some ways…

Unfortunately, that PLO fellow was shot dead in the same office only (as far as I can recall) a few weeks later. The matter was never solved by the police. Voters of Britain: whatever your ideology, whatever you support or dislike, when GE 2024 arrives vote any way you like except “Conservative”, or do not vote at all. Crush and exterminate this useless party. Equally-bad “Labour” can fall later, but first things first.
I don't see why this chap is attracting so much sympathy from the journalism trade. I don't have an issue with him being duped into sending pictures, it's that he then betrayed his colleagues – leaving them open to blackmail attempts too.

The only reason why the UK and France are not living under complete Jewish/Zionist tyranny is because the actual numbers of Jews and part-Jews, in proportion to the non-Jews, is small— in the UK, less than half of one percent.
When I was a kid I thought all the rules of proper behaviour were stupid and often impractical, but more and more I see the point of them. It's not the specific rules, it's the habits of mind.
We tend to think, at least many people tend to think, that civilization and culture are best-described as a smooth upward spiral or curve, whereas a staggered spiral is more accurate: a period of growth and improvement often followed by a decline, or even a catastrophic fall, before positive evolution can continue.

A reference to the Grenfell Tower fire some years ago, after which “Jack Monroe” wrote a pack of lies saying that she went to the scene (60 miles from her home in Essex; she does not drive, either, which in view of her alleged and partly-admitted booze/drug consumption is just as well), and was “waved through” the security cordon by police (who must have known what a huge “celebrity” she was, with her reconstituted tinned pasta —mixed with sardines and curry powder— “food”…), after which she used the plans of the building (how? from where?) to somehow “organize” the scene.
Does any thinking person really believe that any of that was true?

What astounds me, and others, is firstly the sheer relentless and wicked gall of “Jack Monroe”, but then also, maybe more, the wilful gullibility of quite many people who —perhaps desperately— want to believe in something or someone, anything, anyone.
