“I want to be crystal clear about what Reform UK’s position is which is we will deport everybody who is here in this country illegally which is roughly 1.2 million people”
As I began to understand about three years ago— it surprised me— Starmer is totally clueless. He has no idea about anything, beyond a robotic knowledge of the criminal law, and I am now not so sure even about that.
Hard to know who is the most hopeless, Starmer, or “Rachel from Accounts and Customer Relations” Reeves, or the others such as thick-as-two-short planks Angela Rayner, Liz Kendall etc.
The System parties and msm are gleefully finding fault with Reform UK in order to try to get voters to turn back to Lab or Con or both, but what they still fail to understand is that many many people have, in their minds, now chucked Lab and Con in the bin. If Reform were to dwindle, another (and perhaps better, truly social-national) party will emerge, like a force of nature.

City created by ants
Incredible. Fascinating. On the one hand, I commend the research, but on the other the moral question of whether it can be justified to destroy the city and its inhabitants is troubling. It is all very well to say that “they are only ants“, but they are still living creatures and deserve some respect, particularly when they are not posing any threat to humans.
“Small boat crossings are not the problem”. Do you have no issue with Iranian terrorists crossing in the small boats @narindertweets ? https://t.co/vZFYi7JteC
This is where we now are. Some Indian woman openly defends the destruction of the UK by migration-invasion, and all “controlled opposition” Matt Goodwin can say is that a few “Iranian terrorists” are among the millions entering the UK (hundreds of thousands on “small boats”, but millions overall).
The few real terrorists among those millions are a small or limited problem that can be dealt with by police, the Security Service, the Secret Intelligence Service etc. The problems caused by the millions of others — housing crisis, water shortages, congested roads and rail, costs of “welfare”, medical services costs, educational costs, ordinary policing, court costs etc— are less easily dealt with.
Those who support migration-invasion are enemies of the people.

There may come a time when Putin or those around him decide that the only real obstacle in their path is the city of Kiev. Were Kiev to cease to exist, or be almost destroyed, that would be the end of the Kiev regime militarily, economically, and in pretty much every other way. Of course, the destruction of a city of the size of Kiev would be a tremendous and terrible crime from the humanitarian point of view, a crime on the scale of, indeed on a larger scale than, the WW2 attacks on Dresden, Hamburg, Hiroshima etc by the Anglo-American air forces.
[Hamburg,1945, about 2 years after the British RAF bombed and firestormed the city]
[Stuttgart 1945]

Got to make sure free speech is curtailed and violent illegals don't have their human rights curtailed.
The delays in the court system have been caused in various ways. One is closure of smaller courts. Many county courts where I myself appeared 1992-1996 and 2002-2008 are now no more; Ilford, Penzance, Poole, Bedford, Bodmin, Bow, Trowbridge, Bromley and (I think) Yeovil among them. Even more magistrates’ courts have closed, and some Crown Courts, including some in London (and in which I also appeared at times, especially in the early 1990s).
Actually, the abuse of the legal system by the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” is slightly mitigated by the present delays. For example, after the “CAA” managed to get the dim Hampshire Police and the clueless “Clown” Prosecution Service (CPS Wessex, based at Winchester) to charge me by post in early 2023, the trial (despite being only in the magistrates’ court) did not take place until mid-November 2023, and the sentencing hearing was not held until mid-March 2024. Had the trial been one on a more weighty basis, requiring Crown Court trial, I should be now still awaiting my “day in court”; in fact, it might not have even happened. Many Crown Court trials are never effective, never take place.
The legal adage is “justice delayed is justice denied“. Often true, but in terms of the present repression of free speech, one could say “injustice delayed is injustice denied“…

“Sadiq Khan is announcing plans to build on parts of London’s green belt, in a dramatic shift in housing policy aimed at tackling “the most profound housing crisis in the capital’s history”.
In a major speech on Friday, the mayor of London is expected to say the scale of the challenge, which could need about 1m new homes built in the next decade, requires a break from longstanding taboos.
It marks the first time city hall will support the strategic release of low-quality or inaccessible green belt land near transport links in order to provide hundreds of thousands of new affordable homes.”
[Guardian]
Very sad. Apart from that, when they talk about “low-quality or inaccessible land“, what “low-quality” means in this context is simply land on the edge of built-up areas, which may not always be very scenic (but could be, with political will to improve it). “Inaccessible land” is still better than the same land being built on, and its very inaccessibility provides a haven and sanctuary for animals, birds, insects etc.
This is what happens when a country is invaded by a million migrant-invaders per year (legal or illegal)— pressure on land, transport, public services etc increases, housing becomes unaffordable, and life becomes stressed and unpleasant. Look around. The evidence is all around you.

What we are witnessing today may be the first real attempt in decades by parts of the American establishment to free themselves from the stranglehold of the Zionist lobby. But here’s the irony: the very idea that America might make decisions based on its own interests has sent Israeli officials into a frenzy. Why? Because for decades, they’ve treated the U.S. not as an ally, but as a tool .. a weaponized servant to carry out their ambitions, silence their critics, and whitewash their crimes. And now, as the leash begins to loosen, their panic grows louder. Let’s be clear: This isn’t a battle between good and evil. It’s a clash between Racial superiority and religious superiority One seeking global domination through lies, manipulation, and media .. driven illusions , Blackmailing , assassination The other aiming to reassert global control through , brute force, and economic imperialism We now stand at a crossroads for America: Either the United States, through Trump, succeeds in imposing a model of sovereign imperialism based on American supremacy… Or Israel unleashes its old playbook .. media manipulation, financial pressure, political chaos .. to manufacture another storm, just as it did when JFK tried to challenge their influence and paid for it with his life.“]

Interesting. Plaid is of course not truly “national” or “nationalist”, but more akin to the SNP in Scotland. Its basic premise, that Wales should be an independent state, is of course ludicrous, especially but not solely from the economic point of view.
Having said that, I can see why Welsh voters in Wales are going for Plaid (the apparent tautology is in fact not so, because a great number of voters in Wales are not Welsh, being either non-European —non-white— or English, mostly the latter; there are a few other small groups as well).
I think that Plaid is making hay because the main System parties, Lab and Con, are perceived as both hopeless and not “local” (to Wales). That was not always so (in relation to Labour) but I think it probably is so now.
As for Reform’s upsurge in Wales, it follows the rise in support for Reform in England and even in Scotland.
In Scotland, Reform is rising up, but another consequence of the drastic fall in support for both Con and Lab is that the SNP may survive, however unmeritedly, and may be able to increase its Westminster representation from its present 9 MPs (out of 57 Scottish seats) to something like 30; not quite the 56 out of 59 it had in 2015, nor even the 48 out of 59 it had in 2019, but still respectable, and a plurality of the 57 Scottish seats that now exist.
Put another way, people across the UK are binning Con and Lab, and I do not see that changing.
The YouGov poll is about the Senedd (Welsh Assembly) elections, not Westminster voting intentions, but must have relevance to the next general election.
Running that through Electoral Calculus (notionally putting LibDems at 15% and Greens at 10%): Reform 375 MPs; Labour 121; LibDems 62; SNP 38; Cons 25. A Reform government with a very large majority of 49 (working majority of about 59).
I keep seeing Labourite and Con Twitter-twits’ tweets saying “still 4 years to go“, as if the main System parties will somehow regain public trust before 2029. Are they serious?!

🔴 In a rare tour of the early-warning radar at RAF Fylingdales, @robhastings witnesses the crew complete a very realistic training exercise pic.twitter.com/ft50cJJn9e
In any case, were there ever a real military attack from (presumably) Russia (a conflict with which would be mad from the UK point of view— it would finish this country forever, probably), one of the first places to be attacked and eliminated (possibly by Spetsnaz attack, prior to the launch of any missile) would be Fylingdales itself.
On the wider aspects, while those working in such establishments may be fed the line that they are protecting the UK from attack and/or invasion, the reality is that the UK society those soldiers think they are protecting is decaying from within, and being invaded daily by literally thousands of migrant-invaders, both “legally” and “illegally”, and by births to non-white mothers within the UK.
UK society is changing, and being poisoned, before our very eyes.
Translation: what, really, are they protecting?
The euro is above 1.14, trading at its highest level in over three years. The dollar has lost 5.5% of its value against the euro since Liberation Day. That means buying European imports will now cost Americans 15.5% more. 10% for the tariffs and 5.5% due to dollar depreciation.
…meaning that only the wealthier Americans will be buying imports from the EU (that is largely the case anyway, of course).

I'm old enough to remember Michael Gove turning up at work to vote completely off his face.
Conservative Friends of Israel drone Gove, drunk and on cocaine at Westminster. A total enemy of the people; he should be punished, not rewarded.
One of the 5 tweets that (after the Jewish lobby pushed for it) got me disbarred in 2016 was that calling Gove a snivelling expenses cheat in hock to the Jewish/Israel lobby. True facts. I (like most people) was unaware at that time (around 2012) that Gove was also both a drunk and a cocaine abuser.
Another of those 5 tweets was that calling Nicolas Sarkozy a corrupt little Jew. I was partly wrong there (he is only a half-Jew). Sarkozy has of course now been found guilty in a French court of corruption, alongside other Jews.
All my famous or (according to the Jewish lobby) infamous “5 tweets” (posted online between 2010 and 2014) have now been proven to have been true in almost every particular.
Incidentally, in more recent years, the Bar Standards Board wrote to me inviting me to have the disbarment annulled and a “rehearing” take place, mainly because I should never have been tried by a 5-person panel but only by a 3-person panel (which would have had no power to disbar), but I declined, partly because I was already well over 60 and unlikely to resume Bar practice, partly to show my contempt for the Bar (which is now a craven, multikulti dustbin afraid of its own shadow and especially the shadow of the Jewish/Israel lobby).
In other words, had I taken up that suggestion, I should by now have been reinstated as both barrister and —perhaps more useful to me— as a member of Lincoln’s Inn (a pleasant place for a lunch or dinner when in London). Still, I have no regrets, none of importance anyway.

Not (yet) quite the view I have been putting on the blog for the past three years, i.e. Russia to take all of Ukraine east of the Dnieper, as well as a wide coastal strip from the Dnieper as far as a point west of Odessa. Kiev and Odessa to be free cities (either autonomous or jointly-controlled). The rest of Ukraine west of the Dnieper to be ruled by a Ukrainian administration based in Lvov.
I think that the above formulation by me would be fair, and could form the basis for a lasting, if not very friendly, peace.
The Kellogg plan is frankly not as good as mine. It involves British and French forces effectively working with those of the Kiev regime on the ground, and has every likelihood of entangling the Western forces in conflict with Russia, directly.
Russia will never accept that plan anyway.
In any case, from the British point of view, why should we be involved at all? Ukraine has only been a supposed state for 34 years, and Britain has no historical connection with Ukraine, nor any national interest in getting directly involved.
The bottom line, though, is that Russia will never accept such a plan.

The stupid thing is that, without US backing, none of the European states —not even the UK and France as nuclear powers— can stand up to the Russia they keep pushing.
If push came to shove, and if the push and shove went nuclear, as would probably happen, the USA would stand back, as would China, and the terrible devastation would be only be in Europe and Russia, mostly in Europe, because Russia has about 6,500-7,000 nuclear weapons, whereas France has about 290, and the UK about 225 (about 120 deployable by submarine launch).
The French nuclear force was the force de frappe, changed in the 1960s to force de dissuasion. Deterrence, not challenge to the then Soviet Union, an expansionist power with an expansionist and militant ideology —Marxism-Leninism— at least on the surface.
Russia today is not the old Soviet Union, and its ideology is simple and rather inconsistent Russian nationalism, not one of world conquest.
The fact is that, while the UK and France could badly damage much of Russia in a nuclear match, Russia could wipe out the UK, France, and all other European powers.
These games of “poking the bear” are very stupid and quite likely to light the touchpaper of a major war.
[“Russian forces struck UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) assembly and storage sites of the Ukrainian army over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported: https://vk.cc/cJG55K“— TASS]
Putin appeared, unusually, in a kind of military combat attire, yesterday. Akin to the Zelensky “cosplay”, but with rather more weight behind it.
Trump has put Zelensky in his place. Z. is a “state beggar”, in effect. Without American arms, money, ammunition, intelligence assistance, “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime) cannot continue to fight this war. Trump has therefore been able to railroad the Ukrainian side.
The Kiev regime cabal have little choice, and even their brief show of defiance was based on the hope, a forlorn one, that the UK and EU powers might plug any gap left by the American departure (if it were to happen or continue).
Russia cannot be much pressured by Trump. Therefore, the war will continue unless the Kiev regime at least accepts the minimum reality— that Crimea, and the mainland regions of Donetsk, Lugansk etc (and, a fortiori, that of the Russian oblast of Kursk) will remain Russian in perpetuity. Failing that, the war will continue, and Russian tanks will be in Kiev by 2026.
Russia has its military-logistical problems, but nothing compared to those facing the Kiev-regime side, which is losing hundreds of soldiers daily, and large areas of territory too.

Waitrose was driven into the ground by a West Indian woman whom they employed as CEO. Madness. It used to be such a good place to shop and, I believe, treated its employees well; gave them a modest cut of the profits as well. Now, like the rest of this country, it is going straight down (I refer to, inter alia, Parliament, the courts, the police, the armed forces, the Royal Mail and Post Office, the social security safety net, the monarchy, the countryside…you name it).
Seeing as most the country now supports Reform what are they going to do turn away everyone who supports Reform.
A couple of things strike me about that latest opinion poll. Firstly, that the polls are now quite volatile, especially as to whether Labour or Reform is more popular; secondly, that the Conservative Party is pretty much finished now. Few people see it as offering anything to 90% of the population, its policies have now been taken over by fake Labour under Keir Starmer-stein, and it is now not really even seen as relevant. That is so even if you discount the fact that it is now led by a Nigerian woman who was not even living in the UK until she was at least 16.
Incidentally, those opinion poll results would indicate a House of Commons with about 238 Reform UK MPs; 165 Lab; 123 Con; 58 LibDem; SNP 37; Greens 4 (etc).
So probably a Reform government backed by Con MPs’ votes. Not ideal, but if it failed to satisfy the British people, a real social-national movement (in or out of Parliament) might well emerge.
You see the deficiencies of our FPTP voting system there. Greens on 10% of the popular vote, but with only ~4 MPs, rather than the 65 that the 10% opinion poll would suggest would be fair. Reform, on the other hand, would be overcompensated, getting a notional 238 MPs instead of the mathematically-indicated 175.

A nation is a particular people, with a distinct culture, permanently bound together by shared relationship with place, past, and each other. A house becomes a home through the relationship with the family that lives in it, a connection forged out of time and memory, between the concrete particularity of place and the lives of a specific group of people present, past, and yet unborn. Assuming that the reports are correct (they seem to be), and that the longstanding government of the Assad family in Syria has fallen, there now stands only Iran against the Jewish state of Israel.
The Assad family has controlled Syria since 1970, 54 years, so this marks a great change in the geopolitics of the Middle East.
What will never be admitted by the System parties is that we have been, for decades, in a deliberately-managed slow decline, which is now become a faster decline; in fact a slide. It is very much connected with mass immigration (the migration-invasion), and with the agenda of making the UK a multikulti, multiracial, and fairly poor country, with most of the economic benefit of its economy going to about 5%, if not 1%, of the population. That 1%, or even 5%, is mainly, though not exclusively, non-European. It includes many of “the usual suspects” (((them))).

Jorge’s family paid tribute to him yesterday (December 7) in a statement released by his son, saying: “Our dad was the most loving person, the kindest soul you could have the pleasure of meeting. Everyone who has met our dad or who has ever worked with him over the years will tell you this.
“He had a brilliant mind, enjoyed cooking, loved drawing, and was highly skilled in art. He was an amazing family man and would always put other people first. He loved his grandchildren, and in turn, they adored our dad. He was totally devoted to our mum and loved her beyond what words can describe.“
“British Transport Police officers were called to Ilford Station following reports of a serious assault on Wednesday. Paramedics and members of the Air Ambulance attended, and Jorge was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries.
28-year-old Ayodele Jamgbadi of Kingston Road in Ilford was arrested the next day and has been charged. He will appear at Inner London Crown Court on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.“

The Chief of the SIS/MI6 said, just a few days ago, that “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime) has “the will to fight“. Ha. Most Ukrainians are trying to avoid or evade the draft (and we could save many billions in two ways— 1. by taking away Zelensky’s ricebowl; 2. by cutting back severely the huge amounts wasted on a “Secret Intelligence Service” that seems to accomplish nothing much of the time.
[note: before I could publish, the tweet above was either unpublished or (more likely) censored in some way. The video clip showed the thugs of the Kiev regime chasing a “draft-dodger” (a person who, wisely, decided not to go easily to his death on the front-lines, fighting for Zelensky’s dictatorship].
That tells you all you need to know about Labour MPs. They were never on the side of their constituents😡 https://t.co/Y4Pq145kZ3
The Labour MPs are just as bad as the “Conservative” rabble. Craven venal nobodies.
Leaving aside early-release prisoners, our country is being flooded with young men. Over 80% of small boat arrivals are blokes, the majority (by far) Afghan. Women’s safety has been sacrificed so that Starmer can make a political point (“look what I’ll do to my critics”). https://t.co/TnEURa1XO3
In Tottenham Court Road. How wonderfully “diverse” London now is. It could only be more “diverse” if it were in a total state of socio-economic collapse and disorder, with non-white, machete-wielding mobs rampaging. When will that be? 2044? 2034? Next year?
Why does he keep buying things? Sorry, I just don’t understand it! GB News, which he was a big investor in, was loss making. So what’s the goal? Huge sums altogether (GB, UnHerd, now £100m on Spectator). What is the “return” in an age of loss-making media?https://t.co/TFhKkf5vCj
Someone with hundreds or thousands of millions wants more than money; he wants power and influence. Whole cabals may be the same. Look at Twitter/X. Until Elon Musk bought it (I do not know the situation since then), it only made a profit in one quarter of one year, out of about 60 such quarters. Profit was obviously not the motivation.
Pensioners freezing to death. Energy bills going up despite promises to cut them. Dangerous criminals being released onto the streets. The highest taxpayers fleeing the country. How’s that Labour vote working out for you?
The “Conservative” rabble had to go, and that was the reason people voted to bin them. However, it has to be repeated that, of every 20 eligible voters, only 4 voted Labour.
Starmer-Labour has no real or genuine mandate.
We are releasing 5,000 prisoners early this autumn while there are 10,400 foreign nationals in UK prisons. We should be deporting the latter to make room for the former and keep the British people safe.
In fact, a very high proportion of UK prisoners who are “British” nationals are also non-white, a fact which I noticed when I started at the Bar over 30 years ago. White British people are probably no more than half of the UK prison population, if that, despite comprising, still, maybe 80% of the UK population as a whole.

“UK police are recording too many hate crime incidents, getting involved in disputes that include “hurt feelings” and violating “common sense”, police watchdog warnshttps://t.co/823JvdgqHz
In my last decade or so, or “time of troubles”, I have had the unsought opportunity to assess at first-hand the abilities and attitudes of what now passes for a “police force” in England. Unimpressive. Semi-educated young (mostly young) men and women, their little heads full of “diversity” and “anti-racism” nonsense, purporting to lay down the law (which they plainly often do not even know or understand), and acting, pathetically, as a kind of poundshop Stasi.
As far as doing their proper job is concerned, the police in the UK are almost useless. On the two occasions over the past 15 years when I have been the victim of acquisitive crime (once when a whole wheel was stolen from my car, another time when a previous car was broken into and the door almost wrenched off), the police did nothing but record the incident and give me a number for my insurers, not even when (in relation to the wheel theft) I passed on, online, very cogent evidence as to the likely “type” and almost exact location of the likely perpetrators.
Useless. Not worth their salt.

Think of Starmer. Not a Jew, but a former supposed “human rights” specialist married to a Jewish or part-Jewish woman; he, more recently, thought it perfectly acceptable for the (Israeli) Jews to cut off water to the people of Gaza, including the civilian population .
Zelensky’s only chance is to foment a direct NATO-Russia conflict. If that were to occur, it would quite likely go nuclear. If so, “Goodnight Vienna” (and Moscow, and London, and Berlin, and Paris, and New York, and Washington (etc).

In 2022 Natalie Elphicke used a debate on P&O sacking 800 workers & replacing them with cheaper foreign workers as an opportunity to attack trade unions.
Natalie Elphicke pretended to stay loyal to her foolish husband while he was on trial for pathetic minor sex crimes, divorced him after he was convicted and imprisoned, and arranged to replace him as Conservative Party MP for Dover. Now, realizing that the game is up, she defects to Labour! About as trustworthy as any triple agent…
Mick Lynch last year: "If you're coming to the electorate with a message of change, you've got to show that there will be real change. And that's what the country is crying out for"
Having said that, Natalie Elphicke is unarguably right about Sunak’s bad joke government. The very roads are like something out of the Ukraine now— potholed, rutted, unrepaired or, at best, poorly-patched.
I started to comment on the blog years ago about how, not overnight but over 10-15 or more years (even pre-dating “Conservative” governments post-2010) “nothing works in Britain these days”. The newspapers started to say the same a couple of years ago. Now, hardly anyone would argue about it.
It will be interesting to see whether Natalie Elphicke, if not adopted as Labour candidate for the Dover constituency, stands as Independent. It might be tight between Con and Lab anyway, but with Reform UK in the mix (and very likely to do well), and Natalie Elphicke potentially standing as Independent, it could be a very close contest indeed. She might even win.
Come to think of it, Natalie Elphicke might have done better to have defected to Reform UK, which would probably have made her its Dover candidate, and with a reasonable shot at winning in a three-way split.

[Kensington Roof Gardens, London, which date back to the 1930s]
London has large areas of unused roof space which could be turned into green space; not necessarily all open to the public, but still a haven for birds and a recreational resource for individual people, families, employee groups etc.
I had such ideas back in the mid/late 1970s, when I happened to see some of the views from the roof areas of tall buildings: a couple of the then-tall buildings of the City of London (now dwarfed by the new high buildings, of course), the British Gas building at Marble Arch etc; both during the daytime and at night.
Since those times, others with similar ideas but more resources have actually been able to make a few projects a reality. There remains huge scope.

“A fellow at the University of Cambridge who has sparked backlash with his comments on race has been dropped by Emmanuel College where he was a research associate.
Nathan Cofnas, an early career research fellow in the Faculty of Philosophy, is understood to have had his relationship with the college ended following an investigation into his conduct.
Mr Cofnas came under fire in February after he published a blog post which claimed the number of black professors at Harvard would ‘approach zero’ in a meritocracy, and that ‘Blacks would disappear from almost all high-profile positions outside of sports and entertainment.’
He also dismissed equality between people of different ethnicities as a ‘thesis’ that is ‘based on lies’.
Mr Cofnas, who describes himself as a ‘race-realist’, is understood to have been informed of the college’s decision by letter on April 5, which stated his posts were in violation of its diversity and inclusion policies.
Last month, the first black man to ever be appointed to the head of a Cambridge College, Lord Simon Woolley, principal of Homerton College, held an event with students and the master of Emmanuel Doug Chalmers to discuss their concerns.
Lord Woolley, who was previously appointed by then-Prime Minister Theresa May to head the UK Government’s Race Disparity Unit, told the assembled students that free speech must be protected, but this did not extend to ‘abhorrent racism’.
Emmanuel’s Master Mr Chalmers had initially backed Mr Cofnas’ right to freedom of speech, but the college soon launched an investigation, alongside other probes by the University and the Leverhulme Trust, which provided him with a research grant.”
So the “diversity hire” has no understanding of the concept of free speech, or the concept of academic freedom, yet has been appointed principal of a Cambridge University college…

“There is no plan B without the USA – Kiev.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, stated that this was the message he conveyed to his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken. However, he reiterated that for Ukraine there is no alternative to US military support, which already amounts to over 111 billion dollars since the beginning of the conflict with Russia in February 2022.“

You wasted £310-410 billion over-reacting to ‘the pandemic.’“
The little Indian money-juggler is trying to ape the vulgar and unpleasant attacks on the sick, disabled, and unemployed that characterized the 2010-2015 government of Cameron-Levita, Osborne, and Dunce Duncan Smith.
If Sunak thinks that this tired and derivative form of “gutter politics” will fly, he is very mistaken. I was looking at the “Readers’ Comments” in the Daily Mail on this. Only about 1% support the policy and/or think that it will ever be possible (or desirable) to implement it.
We read that there is currently an “epidemic of shoplifting“. What does Sunak imagine will be the result of cutting off the last peanuts lifeline to people, leaving them totally desperate, destitute, homeless etc?
If Sunak and the Conservative Party are trying to improve their electoral chances by this, they are in cloud-cuckoo land. The only people who will be impressed will be the hard core of unthinking Con voters aged 60+, and they will vote Con anyway.
Of course, none of the announced policies will be implemented, or implementable, prior to the General Election. The question therefore devolves to the response from Starmer and Rachel Reeves etc, who will probably be forming the next government. If they follow in Sunak’s footsteps, there could be something akin to an uprising eventually; certainly social upheaval.
Bismarck introduced the skeleton of a Welfare State in Germany 150 years ago, not because the Iron Chancellor was soft, or very kind-hearted, but because he wanted to divert any revolutionary sentiment in the masses. Looks like the UK’s pygmy politicos are going the other way.
He and his ilk have also overseen mass immigration that has stifled growth in pay, exported goods jobs, pushed accommodation, health etc costs through the roof and massively increased taxes etc making many feel little or no benefit from actually working/striving for success.
“A group of self-styled ‘Robin Hoods’ are bragging on social media that they stole from Marks & Spencer to give to food banks.
Campaigners from Everybody Eats, a group calling for direct action on food poverty, claim they launched their first raid at an M&S Foodhall in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester.
They also claim they will replicate ‘this all across the country’ until the government answers their demands on food security, The Telegraph reported.
Everybody Eats claimed that food banks were aware that the goods were stolen and suggested its members had been asked to help.“
Most politicians will lead us to believe that we’re all useless idiots. Not true, there are lots of wonderful people out there. Have a great weekend. https://t.co/xVscfCDxNb
Now, more information. Seems that the egregious Israel-based Jew-Zionist solicitor, Mark Lewis, was involved (I was unaware of that until today, though did wonder when I saw a few tweets in the past week). He has messed up…again.
It seems Mr Lewis thought Mr Cantor had no assets and had financial immunity for my costs even if he lost.
The “misunderstanding” is catastrophic for Mr Cantor and his family because he must sell his house to pay my costs.
My opinion is that Mr Lewis should pay the costs! 2/2.
Lewis is actually a pretty poor lawyer anyway in my opinion (based partly on what I have read about him over the years), and he has in the past admitted that at times — apparently by reason of his prescribed medications, in part— he has, or has had, no idea of what he is or was doing.
Looks now as if that Cantor individual (of whom I know nothing, and of whom I had never heard until this case finished recently) will or might have to take legal action against Lewis himself if he is not to become homeless after his failed attempt to ruin a university academic. What a great pity…
It is not for me to pronounce on whether Lewis was negligent and/or dishonest in this particular case, but (once again) it seems that he has, shall we say, “questions to answer”.
Lewis, though now based in Israel, has a foothold in the UK as “partner” of a small law firm in West London.
Lewis is basically a self-publicist: see my previous (years ago) blog mentions of him.
That blog post contains links which detail many (though I think not all) of Lewis’s defaults.
There is a notorious Jew-Zionist cabal on Twitter/X, and in the UK mass media, which has been determined for years to present Lewis to a gullible Press readership, TV-watching public etc as “hot shot lawyer”, or (as often described) “top lawyer“.
The fact is that, when Lewis finally left the UK for Israel (to live in Israel) about 5 years ago, his own Counsel said (at his “trial” before a Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal in London, at which Lewis was found guilty of having posted savagely violent social media posts) that Lewis had “no assets” except his own clothes, a mobility scooter, and a private pension worth £70 a week. Even his car was being provided to him by the State disability benefit service, Motability.
Oddly (not), Lewis’s appearance before, and “conviction” by, the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal was not covered at all by the “occupied” UK msm, and only briefly by a few law magazines…
More:
Wow! Mark Lewis acted for Daniel Miller and Nina Power against Luke Turner. Lewis’ clients lost in spectacular fashion. Mr Miller is now bankrupt. I am not sure about Ms Power.
It is awful the same will happen to Mr Mendelsohn and Mr Cantor!
Seems that James Wilson is, on the face of it, a little too kind. Those Jew-Zionist fanatics (the defendants Cantor and Mendelsohn, whoever they are —I had heard of the unpleasant Newbon) were, after all, quite willing to ruin Mr. Wilson if they could.
As for Lewis, he is, in my opinion, repeatedly unprofessional, quite apart from, also in my opinion, being very far from as effective as his fellow-fanatics try to make him appear.
Lewis’s Third Witness Statementsays it— he “misunderstood“…
Mr Cantor was on a CFA with Mr Lewis, so if he settled with me for nominal damages and zero costs, he had to pay me almost nothing and his solicitor absoutely nothing.
Why would he have rejected this settlement in principle?
Lewis is no better than an “ambulance-chaser”, in my opinion.
For context. Mr Lewis referred to me as £19 Wilson because my maximum cost was £19/hour whereas his was £600/hour. And the Defendants – or perhaps Mr Lewis – refused mediation for two years until they lost the strike out application.
I keep seeing on Twitter/X that Lewis must be a great defamation lawyer because he “won when representing ‘Jack Monroe’ against Katie Hopkins, who lost and had to sell her house.”
True, Katie Hopkins did lose that case, and did have to sell her house to pay the legal costs supposedly incurred by that fraudulent purveyor of 10p-a-dinner swill, “Jack Monroe” (Melissa Hadjicostas, before she changed her name).
What that story leaves out is that, firstly, Katie Hopkins was either badly advised or, as I believe was the case, not advised at all; she had no lawyers, and so persisted with a defence which was bound to fail. She never stood a chance, but her pride got in the way.
As for Lewis, a child could have won that case against Katie Hopkins.
So Lewis was trying to blag £600 an hour for his most recent defective advice? Well, he will get nothing now (again); he will have to keep the lights switched off in his flat in Eilat, and “collect the pennies on the empties”, as people used to say.
Unfortunately this is necessary because I am dealing with unreasonable people. This message shows Pete Newbon’s total faith in Mark Lewis (@MLewisLawyer) of Patron Law (@LawPatron) to look after him in the litigation. Pete guessed he had to trust Mark Lewis. pic.twitter.com/6uNzvceSj4
Typical Lewis: tries to intimidate people who have no assets beyond (perhaps) a residential property; they, he hopes, will settle and, crucially, pay supposed “costs” to Lewis, who then gets money without having had to win at trial.
The defamation case won by James Wilson, included references in the court judgment that Rachel Riley had promoted the crowdfunder by the defendant (who’d committed the libel) to employ lawyer Mark Lewis.

Lewis should be (at long last) struck off the solicitors’ roll; as for Myerson, the matter should be placed before the Bar Standards Board. I hope that Mr. Wilson complains formally to the BSB about him. In the meantime, Myerson should not be permitted to sit as a Recorder (if he still is so permitted after his previous defaults).
Yet another instance of Lewis having been, if not dishonest (?), then certainly negligent. That, at least, was the view of yet another High Court judge.
The world has had capitalist societies, socialist societies, feudal societies etc, but now, in the UK, has emerged a new form of society— the permanently “offended” society of fake “diversity”.
Most of the faked “offence” is taken by “the usual suspects”, of course.
The Daily Mail and Jewish/Zionist so-called “charities” (including the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism”) are whining because someone convicted (on evidence that would have shamed the Star Chamber) in 2018, and then sentenced to 6.5 years, is being released a few months before the end of his full term expires.
Most prisoners are released at, or even before, the halfway point. In this case, that would have meant release in 2021, three years ago.
I hope that the State will not be so cruel as to deny the young couple the right to have their child returned to them. To do that would be absolutely evil.
If the newspaper report (penned by one Iwan Stone, incidentally) is correct, the couple intend to live in Portugal when they can. Good luck to them as they move on from all of this.
Have they not suffered enough?
Literary thought
For no obvious reason, The Merchant of Venice springs to mind. I have not seen a proper production being put on for quite a while.
Othello seems to be more popular.
Perhaps it always was; it has also inspired more adaptations and variations, as in this old noir:

No matter how much money the U.S. Government sends to the Kiev regime, no matter even how much armament and ammunition is sent, the Kiev regime cannot “win”, even to the extent of occupying the Donbass and Crimea.
The Kiev regime army is flagging as many desert the field, and many more avoid conscription. To be recruited by the Kiev regime army is to be sent to quite likely death or life-changing injury on the front-lines, which are now starting to collapse.
Ukraine is producing few children, and a quarter or more of its pre-2022 population is living outside Ukraine. If American and EU aid stopped, there would be no fighting within a few weeks, followed by either a negotiated armistice or Russian victory. As it is, it looks as though this brutal war will smoulder on for months, maybe even a year or two.
In the end, though, Russia will “win”, in the sense of taking over all of Eastern Ukraine, and possibly the coast as far as, and maybe beyond, Odessa.
I watched a few minutes of a very biased BBC World News report about the war. The reporter, some bearded fellow whose name I did not catch, did say something about why Ukrainians try to avoid fighting. Apart from the obvious dangers, open-ended service (no way of getting out) and poor conditions generally.
What, however, made the report farcical was said reporter’s then assertion that Ukraine is a “genuine democracy“. Hardy ha ha… A “genuine democracy” that now refuses to hold elections, has banned trade unions, which press-gangs people up to age 60 and beyond to serve as cannon-fodder on the collapsing front-lines, and which shoots dissidents, or holds them without trial in unpleasant camps and prisons.
Units of Russia’s Battlegroup West moved to more advantageous positions in the past day, repelling three Ukrainian attacks, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement:https://t.co/NtpVJaDTpMpic.twitter.com/967XucMRt1
