Something such as Exodus is (or was), however, powerful political propaganda showing only one, and a very partial, side of a multi-sided struggle.

I happened to see a blog post from nearly two years ago. I think that the facts displayed should be far better known than they are.

They still think that thick-as-two-short-planks Nelson Mandela was both saintly and incredibly intelligent (in fact, he was a would-be terrorist leader who turned to African revolution at the age of 42, and after having failed his law degree several times, and the only reason he was not an active terrorist leader is because he was so inept at conspiracy, and was arrested before he could start a race war against South African whites).

Even now, the name “Nelson Mandela” is customarily intoned on TV quiz shows and news broadcasts in the UK with ludicrous reverence. That thick African “secular saint”, in reality a failed law student and a failed, inept, would-be terrorist “leader” is (or so they pretend) venerated by System talking heads, scribblers, political drones etc. All part of the overall conspiracy, of course.

This policy placates at least two lobby groups in the UK— Jewish/Jew-Zionist (because it gets rid of Palestinian Arabs out of Gaza, which is being ethnically-cleansed so that Jews can populate it as part of “Israel”), and the Muslim lobby. Both.

I have to say that, were I the ruler of Dubai, I should have created a far better city-state than that ugly pastiche of Miami Beach and Monaco. The same goes for the other UAE emirates, and Qatar.

The weird thing, of course, about Muslim statelets such as the UAE and Qatar is that, on the one hand, they have the very latest technology, the latest and most expensive cars etc, but at the same time an underlying way of life which is feudal, mediaeval and, indeed, almost in the dark ages: Islam, and legal systems based on Islam.

The other odd thing about those Gulf statelets is that 90% of the population of most if not all of them is foreign, all of which foreigners are there short-term, in a few cases medium-term, trying to make and save money before they head home (as they have to do— they have no right to remain…).

Mini-states that take themselves too seriously are always open to ridicule, of course. I have never been to Monaco, but recall seeing a two or three-part series about the Principality, which has 510 acres, about the size (somewhat smaller) than Hyde Park (350 acres) and Kensington Gardens (265 acres) combined, and much smaller than New York’s Central Park (843 acres). The excessive respect (servility, indeed) shown by everyone there to its ruling prince, Albert, was very funny.

Not that there seemed to be anything terrible about this American-sounding fellow (the son, of course, of the American film actress, Grace Kelly), but it just is rather funny to see quite a bit of pomp and circumstance going on in this tiny semi-enclave not much bigger than Hyde Park; a Ruritanian feeling.

Pretty amazing, if anywhere near accurate. About 422 Reform MPs, 51 Greens, 49 LibDems, 44 SNP, 34 Lab, 14 Cons [etc].

That would be a stunning result, giving Reform a huge Commons majority of nearly a hundred MPs.

If that came to pass, you could pretty much knock out the Conservative Party completely. It would never recover. Labour probably much the same, though less clearly so, because the Conservative bases have been eroding for a long time despite, maybe even because of, the 14 years of (incompetent) Con Party government. Labour is still well-embedded in the trade unions, public services, and the ethnic minority “communities”.

Looks as though many of the actual “socialists” or play-socialists, have abandoned Labour for the Greens, just as a certain number of former Con voters have abandoned the Cons for the LibDems, and others for Reform UK.

Incidentally, if my present feeling is right about the Con vote declining to as low as 10% by 2028/2029 (partly because many of the very old people who are the Con mainstay will not be living by then, and partly because many will go either Reform or LibDem), then the Conservative Party might be left with only 1 MP, Labour about 30, the SNP, Greens, and LibDems 30-40 each, and Reform as many as 459 MPs out of 650.

As usual, I was well ahead of the curve, and have been referring to “Andrew Windsor” for some time…

Late musing

I have been interested to see that, during the last few days, the number of individual visitors has increased very markedly. Several hundred each day, from about 20 countries, but with the majority of both visitors and hits (some people look at more than one blog post) coming from the USA and, after the USA, the UK.

There have been a few times in the past when high hundreds, even over a thousand, visitors visited in a single day, but not very many, if truth be known. I’m easy (“one human soul is a big audience“).

It seems clear that Labour Party members are, yet again, the foot-soldiers of a political army the heads of which ignore their views and preferences.

Once again, we see the influence of the Jewish and/or pro-Israel lobby, which is pervasive in our corrupt political system. In the Labour Party Deputy Leader contest, “they” made sure that they won. How? By backing both contenders. That is their usual method.

After what the Israeli Jews have done in Gaza (70,000+ mostly civilian dead, hundreds of thousands injured, tens of thousands of homes, shops, hospitals, schools, universities, and roads destroyed, embargo on food, water, and medical supplies, and military behaviour that can only be termed perversely sadistic), the priority is, apparently, recovering the remains of a small number of deceased Jewish hostages…

The hostages should never have been taken, or should have been released at an earlier stage, but when one looks at the behaviour of the [Israeli] Jews in Gaza etc, one can see why the hostages were kept as a bargaining counter and collective human shield (that idea did not much work, though, because the Netanyahu government and its armed forces carried on bombing Gaza anyway, heedless of the safety of the hostages).

Interesting, but my own fairly youthful taekwando training (I was 28) ended with a cracked rib and waking up in pain for about 2 months. The pain mostly disappeared after a short time each day, but the old joke is true— it does hurt when you laugh…

Martial arts were never my thing, but the real exponents are fascinating. I did a short self-defence course about 30 years ago (1995 I think, when I was about 38) and with a small group of others, was taught by a renowned Japanese master called (as far as I can remember) Dr. Honda, who held black belts in various Oriental martial arts disciplines, including a rare honorary Dan rating which I believe was held by few if any others, or so we were told; told also that Honda was in the Guinness Book of Records, but I do not know whether that was so.

Dr. Honda was 84-y-o, but looked more like 50-something. He was only in the UK for a brief teaching tour. A dryly humorous person in an appropriately inscrutable way, he was like something out of a film. He could move, especially his arms and hands, quicker than the eye could follow.

Dr. Honda could put large and —at the time— fairly fit people like me (I swam half a mile to a mile nonstop, several times per week, then) on the floor in a split second, keep that person down using only a thumb or a couple of fingers, and if you struggled, could cause immense pain just by very slight pressure of a digit; I presume that he was expert in locating pressure points of the nervous system. Amazing person.

All the System parties now have small memberships. The fake “Conservatives” have officially somewhere between 100,000 and 120,000, but probably well below 100,000. Active members are very few now.

To a large extent, the whole “democratic” political system in the UK is a kind of mirage, a view completely unreal. The supposed “credibility” of the “main parties” is founded on a mere projection of “credibility” and “importance”, which is totally fake. Look at the last half dozen Prime Ministers of the UK.

Britain needs a real Border Force, not the present Border Farce which actually ferries migrant invaders into the UK!

Of course, the old East German force called the Grenzpolizei (Border Police) had a dual role, as much aimed at keeping the working-age population of the DDR in as keeping smugglers, spies etc out…

I have to say that the Grenzpolizei, on the couple of occasions when I encountered them, were both amiable and alarmingly efficient, for example when I and my driver were processed through a small crossing-point (we were the only car, in fact the only vehicle travelling West, in an hour spent there). They (politely, efficiently) emptied the contents of the car (a Volvo estate or station-wagon), then partially dismantled the car, taking out, entirely, various parts, including the seats (they did put it all together again later).

While many who are hostile to Reform will be crowing because Plaid Cymru won that by-election, in big-picture terms the second place for Reform is far more significant.

Plaid only does well in a few places in Wales, and makes no pretence of being a UK-wide party. It has 4 MPs at Westminster (out of 32 Welsh seats), 2 peers (out of 828), and 14 Senedd members (out of 60).

Reform has just captured 36% of the votes at the Caerphilly by-election, more than impressive from a standing start and for a party basically perceived as English.

The main System parties have been trashed by the voters who bothered to vote (turnout was just over 50%): Labour, the previous holders of the seat, fell from 45.9% to a mere 11%. The Conservative party fell far too, from 17.3% to a mere 2%. Reform’s 35% this time can be compared to its previous result (2.2%, though some sources say 1.7%; no matter).

This has huge implications for both local and Westminster elections in England, of course.

Reform has achieved this level of support not because people love it, its policies, or its leader, Farage, but because people now hate and despise both main System parties. The SNP suddenly became pre-eminent in Scotland in 2015 not because many Scots loved or much-supported it, but because the Labour and other parties’ votes collapsed.

Think about it. Labour support overall is running at about 15%-25%, say 20% or thereabouts. Britain is now 20% non-white; Muslims are about 8% or maybe 10% of the population. Until recently, almost all voted Labour. Hardly any white English voters, in particular, now intend to vote Labour.

Dan Hodges trying to spin the Caerphilly result as not terribly good for Reform UK, despite their vote having increased from around 2% to 36%! Look at Labour— 11%. Or Conservative Party— 2%.

Another way to look on the Caerphilly result might be to say that, if Reform can get a 36% result in a core part of Wales, what will it be getting in much of England.

I have no quarrel with that, but Dan Hodges is trying to stem the tide with words.

It may well be that Reform cannot get more, overall, than 35% or even a few points below that (in that poll, 29%). What Hodges does not seem to want to say, though, is that a party which gets even 29% in a general election can very easily still be the party that gets a plurality of votes and a plurality of Commons seats, maybe even a majority of seats.

On the figures above, Reform would still get about 370 Commons seats, and a solid majority. Labour might get 89 seats, the LibDems 69, the SNP 45, Cons about 21, and Greens 18.

Conservative Party would be only the fifth-largest party in the Commons.

Yes, but the idea that voters who dislike Reform will vote tactically on a big enough scale to stop the Reform deluge is very doubtful. Dent the juggernaut, yes, stop it, no. Some of the results might be unpredictable.

If Hodges says that Caerphilly was bad for Farage and Reform, how much worse was it for Starmer and Labour, or Badenoch and the Con Party?

Likewise, but even more striking, the Con vote in Caerphilly was around one-eighth of its previous level. Were that to happen in England and at a general election, the number of Con MPs would be around 15.

Just as the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale, has apparently been rather sidelined in UK school history teaching by some Jamaican woman called Mary Seacole, who, inter alia, ran a teashop for officers during the Crimean War.

Mary Seacole, who described herself as “a yellow woman“, i.e. some kind of Creole or mulatta (her father was a Scottish officer, and she also called herself “Creole“), was not a nurse, as such, or as we would understand the term, but primarily a businesswoman in the Caribbean/South American region; she ran hotels etc: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Seacole.

Wikipedia, while giving that information, yet describes Mary Seacole (in the headline description) as “a Black British nurse“! In fact, she is now described in the first paragraph of the Wikipedia piece simply as “…a British nurse“. An example of the faking of history which is now so widespread.

Mary Seacole’s mother was a “doctresse” (traditional healer) in Kingston, Jamaica, who taught her daughter basic healing and therapy.

Mary Seacole’s life is interesting enough without needing to be put through the process of “woke” hagiography.

…and, as I noted on the blog yesterday, what is important is that Reform seems to have captured the settled voting intention of about a third of the electorate, somewhere between 28% and 36%. So long as the old System parties, or “legacy” parties are all below 25%, that leaves Reform in the dominant position, likely to have a plurality of Commons seats, and quite possibly a majority.

Huge numbers of non-Europeans have been granted “indefinite leave to remain” over past decades. Most should never have been granted such leave, and the same applies to all the “family members” that later joined them. Raus!

The gloves are coming off, but neither side should be directly targeting civilians.

It is unclear, though, whether or not some or all of the damage to residential buildings in Kiev was caused by botched Kiev-regime air defence missile launches.

The Conservative Party will probably end, or near its end, at the next General Election in (?) 2028 or 2029. Even if Kemi Badenoch goes and is then replaced by Jewish-lobby puppet Jenrick or another substitute.

As matters stand, any former Conservative (or other) voters wanting rid of Starmer-Labour will have to vote Reform, certainly in most English constituencies.

It is easy to forget that “Ukraine” (Kiev-regime Ukraine) only has, in broad-brush terms, whatever monies and weapons are supplied to it by others.

If Zelensky and his cabal look like they are going to launch powerful missile strikes on targets deep inside Russia, particularly Moscow and St. Petersburg, then I would not rule out a nuclear-weapons response from Russia.

Moscow wants to rule eastern Ukraine, including Kiev, not destroy or poison it, but there may come a point where a “devil’s balance” comes down too heavily on the one side of the scales.

I have no reason to like that Linehan person, who was rude about me several times a number of years ago on Twitter, and who is an idiotic supporter of Israel and the Jew-Zionist lobby.

Very good, but where was Toby Young, where was the “Free Speech Union”, where were brainless scribblers such as Allison Pearson, when the Jew/Zionist/Israel lobby had me disbarred for a mere 5 tweets (in 2016) (all completely true and accurate tweets, by the way), then prosecuted for blogging (in 2023-2024), and when (many times) they (particularly Stephen Silverman of the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”) made other, and completely untrue, allegations against me to the police (yet never faced, as he and others should have done, charges of both wasting police time and attempted perversion of the course of justice)?

Neither do I recall the Free Speech Union defending the many others arrested, charged, and some convicted and even imprisoned after having been persecuted by the Jew/Zionist/Israel lobby: satirical singer Alison Chabloz, Jez Turner of London Forum, Sven Longshanks (James Allchurch), Sam Melia of Patriotic Alternative among many others.

Amazing, yet somehow not surprising. Why? Because most people can see that this country is headed for disaster if it continues on its present course.

A plurality of voters (so far, about a third) is intending to vote Reform UK for that very reason— to bin the present “main parties”.

Reform UK is the way to get a radical change, despite its leadership and candidates being almost as rubbish as those of the main System parties. People know that, but want rid of both fake “Labour” and fake “Conservatives”. Reform may do no better in the end, but by then will have opened the gates of real social nationalism. God mote it be!

A new day will eventually dawn.

Incidentally, that latest poll translates to Reform having about 412 MPs, Lab 79, LibDems 59, SNP 40, Cons 27, Greens 7 (etc) in a post-GE Commons.

I imagine that the Con Party MPs will ditch the Nigerian woman, Kemi Badenoch, by the end of 2025, and probably anoint (other) Jewish-lobby puppet, Jenrick, as Con leader. His tough talk re. the migration invasion may stem the electoral rot (or rout) to some extent, but I doubt whether, even then, the poll-share would get above about 25%. That might reduce the Reform cadre of MPs to below the level of an overall majority, but would still leave Reform as largest party by far (and would also cut Labour back to below 100 MPs). The end result, on those premises, would be a Reform minority government or a Reform-led Ref/Con coalition.

Addendum: I doubt that installing Jeremy Hunt as Con leader would change the ultimate result much, though it might. He is still an MP, still ambitious at age 58 (59 in November), English, and I think might seize his chance to become Leader of the Opposition and, potentially, PM. We shall soon know. Kemi Carpetbagger will be out by November this year.

“Prison camps” seems inaccurate. Concentrating the invaders in camps, though, is at least better than what is now happening. Call them “concentration camps” (?).

Incidentally, this was a magistrates’ court trial, so the maximum sentence (despite the bastard having been convicted of 3 offences) would be one year, and the likely sentence would be, probably, about 9 months, out of which the untermensch would serve well under 50%, so probably (and bearing in mind that he has been incarcerated since about the time of the offences) he will be released after about 2-3 months.

So according to Canadian-born Jewess, Emily Maitlis, Farage has broken Britain? Farage, who has never held any political or other public office, at least until 2024, when he and a handful of his followers were elected MP. It’s nonsense. Nadine Dorries is an idiot, but her defection is one of the earliest rocks falling away before an avalanche. The opinion polls make it clear that, even when Kemi Badenoch is turfed out as Con leader, the Con Party is seen as a total irrelevance now. All they can do is either ape Reform or try to recapture some so-called “centre ground” by seeming “moderate” under, say, Hunt, a strategy which cannot lead to success in a scenario where the British people are becoming, justifiably, livid at what is happening in our country.

[“LEAKED —> CONFIRMED: The doctor who lied about me in the Daily Mail’s defamatory article —Dr. Miriam Green—is the same ‘colleague’ who complained to the Whittington Hospital (our workplace) about my online Palestine activism and had me fired. Miriam is a jewish doctor who has ties to ‘israel’ and has worked/volunteered with their ambualnce service (Magen David Adom (MDA)). She rotated into my department (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in April 2024 and was my junior (first-year doctor/F1). It appears that Miriam was unhappy that I was speaking about Gaza and the genocide in the staff room to my colleagues. What did she do? She complained to the hospital, complained to the Jewish Medical Association (JMA), and collaborated with Sabrina Miller (‘journalist’) to lie about me in the Daily Mail. When I announced on social media that I was going to respond to the article and reveal her identity, the UK ‘israel’ lobby and jewish supremacist groups and individuals carried out a mass doxxing and smear campaign on me: · My private information was shared. · A friend and fellow doctor was doxxed that same night. · Their private information was shared. · I received rape and death threats. · We both had to call the police. · The police came to my home. · They sent me panic alarms and followed up with me for weeks. · They transferred me to a hate crime support group. (The jewish doctor- Dr Justin Stebbing- who reported me to my medical board [GMC], this February, claimed that I lied about the above, attached the article from @5Pillarsuk reporting it, and alleged ‘dishonesty’) The smear campaign didn’t stop me— I went ahead and published my response anyway. I revealed that the ‘colleague’ in the article was Miriam Daliah Green (using only publicly available information) and defended myself from her fabrications. What did Miriam do? She called the police and reported me for ‘doxxing’ her. The police called me asked me not to contact her. When I told the PO that I hadn’t contacted her, he was shocked. Clearly, she had painted a different picture. When I explained the story further, he was baffled by Miriam’s claims and said he didn’t need to hear anything else, and he dropped the matter. That’s not the worst part. When I worked with Miriam, I had gone into the staff room tearful after seeing that the IOF had ran over and bulldozed a Palestinian Trauma and Orthopaedics patient (with a leg cast on) and killed him. Since that is my speciality, I felt like it could have been any of my patients. This is what I told Miriam when she turned to see why I was upset. What did Miriam say? ‘Too bad.’ After being fired from the Whittington, it was Miriam who removed me from the work group chats (see picture). The Daily Mail article was published in February 2025—a couple of days after I won my first GMC investigation (initiated by UKLFI). The title was: ‘Are Jews Safe In The NHS?’. It was revenge against the @gmcuk, the @NHSuk, and Britain for not persecuting me. Nigerian woman Kemi Badenoch was declared the new Conservative Party leader on 2 November 2024. She is therefore immune from formal challenge until 3 November 2025. As of that date, Con Party MPs are entitled to put in letters of dissatisfaction to the Chairman of the 1922 Committee. A leadership election can be triggered by letters sent by 15% or more of Con Party MPs. That would be a mere 18 MPs at present.

My expectation is that Kemi Badenoch will face a leadership election process before the end of 2025. The first step after the election having been triggered would be a knockout ballot of MPs, in which all candidates (each having 10+ nominations) would take part; there would be a maximum of 12 candidates (because there are only 120 MPs).

Assuming that Kemi Badenoch does not step down, she would be one of those candidates, but it is quite likely that she would be eliminated early on, after her disastrous performance in the past 10 months. The Conservative Party is now as low as 15% in the polls, a level which, at a general election, might mean a cadre of as few as 20 —or even, possibly, 10— Con Party MPs in the post-GE Commons. If so, the Con Party would be only the 5th-largest party in the Commons (after Reform, Labour, LibDems, and the SNP), and might only be the 6th-largest.

Anyway, looks to me that it’s bye-bye Kemi quite soon, either way.

I agree with that position. Russia should rule all of Eastern Ukraine (Ukraine east of the Dnieper); also Crimea, and the littoral of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Kiev and Odessa should either be standalone “free cities”, or run as condominia (between Russia and an independent and neutral Ukrainian state centred on Lvov).

Well, I cannot speak as to any of those details, but right from the start I felt that there was something not quite right about Paul Mason. I have blogged about him previously, two or three years ago.

First of all, despite having trained as a musician, and worked as such, and also having lectured in musical studies at Loughborough (Leicestershire), Mason (a quarter-Jew, one of his grandparents having immigrated from Lithuania), never having had any formal financial or economics training, suddenly appears as a freelance financial journalist in London in 1991 at age 31 (after a “missing” three years). Then, from 2001, he is seen on shows such as Newsnight (as Business Editor), and his political persona at that time is a kind of semi-Marxist and semi-anarcho-syndicalist mixture, hard to pin down.

You can see from that piece how, over the years, Mason has veered from so-called “left-wing Communism” and Trotskyism to (he himself claims) “social democracy” and both Marxism and post-Marxism. At one point, he was writing in support of Jeremy Corbyn. More recently, Mason declared himself a supporter of Keir Starmer.

You see the point. Politically, for all his worn-on-the sleeve pseudo-radicalism, Mason is the political grey man, superficially at home here, there, and everywhere. He sort-of fits in almost anywhere in the (generally anti-British type of) political milieu, almost like a secret agent of some sort…

In one matter, Mason has always been consistent: he has always supported dictatorship and repression of opposing views and dissenting opinions:

It has been said before on the blog, but…that, believe it or not, is our “Deputy Prime Minister”, a thick-as-two-short-planks woman with no cultural or intellectual background to speak of, and whose leisure pursuits (preferably paid for by others) include noisy brainless “clubs” in Ibiza, “vaping”, being tattooed (it appears), and God-knows-what else.

Sometimes even I find it hard to believe how far this country has fallen.

Looking at Twitter/X, it seems that many are assuming that Angela Rayner will replace Starmer as Labour Party leader eventually. Really? I have no time for Starmer-stein, but…Angela Rayner? Well, hopefully, Labour is going down to historic defeat in a few years, so the “Deputy Prime Minister” will never actually occupy 10, Downing Street.

On the wider picture, I now find this country one that, increasingly, I do not recognize, and filled with the sort of people with whom I have nothing at all in common beyond breathing and other core necessities.

I recall buying a small bottle of not very pleasant palm wine for about twice what you might expect. I also recall having to walk all the way back to Little Venice because the Underground stations for miles around were shut for safety reasons, and there were of course no buses or taxis anywhere.

In fact, most English people, including most local residents and business owners, would like to bin the Notting Hill Carnival, but the authorities are aware that that would cause black riots which would probably devastate half of London, so “Carnival”, attended now by 2 million from all over the country and beyond, still happens, tolerated not out of choice but because the authorities and English people are effectively blackmailed. Despite Starmer-stein having a disapproval rating of 60%, and Kemi Badenoch having one of “only” 35%, when it comes to positive approval, the two are both down in the trough of public esteem: Starmer 23%, Kemi Badenoch 24%. Indeed, fewer people actively disapprove of Kemi Badenoch (35%) than disapprove of Farage (41%), but when it comes to positive approval, Farage, on 37%, easily outpaces Kemi Badenoch’s 24%.

41% of people are unsure as to whether they approve or disapprove of Kemi Badenoch, a sure sign that she has made little impression on the public (and it can be seen that what impression she has made is mostly not favourable). By contrast, only 22% of the public are “unsure” about Farage— people either approve or disapprove of him, in almost equal numbers.

People are even more sure about Starmer. Only 17% are “unsure” about him, but 60% disapprove of him.

Quite simple. 14 years of total maladministration and misgovernment finished the Conservative Party with most of the electorate, though 3 out of every 12 voters who voted (3 out of every 20 eligible) still voted Con in 2024 (Labour had 4 out of 20 or 4 out of 12). Most of those Con voters were over 60 years of age, many over 80. They have mostly now gone to Reform UK, and many are expiring daily by reason of old age etc. The next general election may not be until 2029; how many habitual Con voters will have expired by then?

The young (anyone under 30, indeed the vast majority under 40) will not be voting Con. Most of the ethnic minority (rapidly becoming majority) voters prefer Labour or other parties. So who is left?

Once again, the “snake in the grass” here is the Jewish-Zionist/Israel lobby in the UK, which has most of the politicians of the two main System parties (and Reform, too, it seems) in its pocket. Strange that that former Conservative Party tweeter, Fiona-Natasha Syms (her ex-husband was Conservative Party MP for Poole until 2024; he lost by a mere 18 votes; and she worked for him, paid generously out of her ex-husband’s MP expenses) thinks that (of all people) Yvette Cooper is to be admired. Nein danke! Yvette Cooper is a would-be dictator, very dishonest, a moneygrubber and expenses cheat (as was her husband, Ed Balls), and a “refugees welcome” dimwit to boot! Also, like all of Starmer-stein’s Cabinet —except a few servile Muslims— a member of Labour Friends of Israel.

Short-sighted Con voters in some parts of England have, in the past couple of decades, shown themselves willing, in my view very wrongly, to vote for non-Europeans such as Kemi Badenoch as their constituency MP, so long as the right party label is affixed. Putting promises of low taxation etc above racial or national pride. That has led to the brainless Conservatives imagining that the country as a whole will vote, in effect, for a party led by a non-white MP. Very misguided. Look at Sunak.

True, that was not the only factor that sank the Conservatives at GE2024, but it was one important factor. Sunak was, in that sense, more “electable” than Kemi Badenoch. After all, people look at Indians en masse and see business, at least some organizational skills and, in Sunak’s case, a UK upbringing. Added to that, the vast wealth of his wife’s family and so his own wealth, meaning that, whether rightly or wrongly, he is at least perceived to be “in it” not for personal money reasons. Compare that to Kemi Badenoch, a loudmouth careerist carpetbagger.

Most Brits, not unfairly, look at Nigeria and see chaotic maladministration, corruption even worse than that of India, and nothing at all to admire. Kemi Badenoch was not even brought up in the UK. Her parents made sure that she was born in London, so that (under the law as it then was, in 1980) she could later claim a British passport, but she was only in the UK for a few days before being returned to Nigeria. She lived there and in the USA until at least age 16.

For those who say that Kemi Badenoch is scarcely a typical Nigerian, well, yes. As F. Scott Fitzgerald said, in effect (not an exact quotation), “the rich are different from you and me; they have more money“.

Yes, Kemi Badenoch is not a typical Nigerian. I have known a few like her, such as the Nigerian princess with whom I was acquainted in the mid/late 1980s, and whose (much older) husband was a Federal High Court judge in Nigeria. However, the basic model is still there, not far under the surface. (if anyone is interested, that Nigerian princess was shot dead in her luxury apartment in Lagos , nearly 30 years ago; Lagos is a rather dangerous place).

I just cannot believe that the British public will vote for a Prime Minister who is a Nigerian woman. The very idea, at least to me, is utterly farcical.

When you add to that her abrasive personality etc, you see how disastrous Kemi Badenoch is for the Conservative Party, which looks increasingly irrelevant.

Anyone who has had to deal with the chaotic crazy mess called “HMRC” will be familiar with the term “Kafka-esque“. I am glad to say that my interaction with them ceased some 13-14 years ago (in relation to matters now 20-40 years in the past). That would be a Commons majority greater than that of Starmer in 2024, and almost as great as that of Blair in 1997. Prior to that, very large majorities were achieved in the early 1930s, in the 1920s, and by Earl Grey’s government of 1832. All times of sweeping change.

Of course, 32% of the popular vote is not huge in historical terms, but is about what Starmer-Labour gathered-in in 2024. It hardly matters that your vote is “only” 32% if your main opponents are getting 20% and 16%.

Incidentally, I see that lying perjurer Gideon Falter, the head or figurehead of the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, was allowed to publish a fairly long opinion piece in the Daily Telegraph. The horrible little bastard had the sheer gall to write about the small number of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza that they now look like Jews starved in German camps at the end of the Second World War.

That at a time when an Arab Palestinian population in the many hundreds of thousands, including huge numbers of civilians (many of them children), is being deliberately starved to death in Gaza by the (Israeli) Jews, a para-military campaign backed to the hilt by (non-Israeli) Jews such as Falter.

As a matter of fact, I should not be surprised if Falter, effectively an agent of influence of a foreign power, Israel, is not an Israeli passport-holder himself, perhaps a dual Israel/UK passport-holder (maybe even a triple passport-holder (Israel/UK/Austria).

I accept that the hostages in Gaza should be released, but the Palestinians have been pushed to the genocidal brink, and have few chips to play.

Israel should also release its own prisoners, of course. Some of them have also been brutalized and starved.

I once stayed overnight at Mappin’s hotel, a Victorian castle hotel at Tintagel, North Cornwall, the one-time seat of King Arthur. In late 2001; December 2001. It was not really run properly as “an hotel” should be; I believe that, since then, it has been taken in hand by Mappin, the heir to a very considerable fortune (think Mappin & Webb, the jewellers). I just read today that he bought it in 1999.

When I was there, it was hugely atmospheric, like a decayed private castle, an effect emphasized by the fact that my wife and I were the only guests, and the staff, in the evening at least, consisted of a not terribly welcoming middleaged Englishman and his (possibly Austrian) wife. I recall that our rather cold room (I think it may have had a four-poster, and an ancient bar fire set into the wall) cost £200 a night, quite expensive in the money of 24 years ago. Akin maybe to £400+ today.

I well recall, after eating informally at a local pub in the nearby village (no restaurant open then at the Castle), being seated before a Hollywood-film-scale blazing fire in the Great Hall, and being served a double or triple Irish whiskey, the absence of other guests making it seem as if we were in our own home (or castle).

In the morning, a very pleasant and very rickety old retainer-woman served breakfast in a long gallery, her tiny grandchild hanging onto her skirts, as the Cornish winter waves crashed onto the rocks below, as in Rebecca.

“Ukraine” (Kiev regime) “fighting until it wins the war” is now impossible. It always was, even if “victory” means merely taking over the oblasti of Crimea, Lugansk, and Donetsk (rather than any capture of the territory of pre-2014 Russia or destruction of the Russian armies in the field).

Reality has now been accepted by the vast majority of Ukrainians, and I expect that a majority would now accept Russian rule over all Ukraine east of the Dnieper.
