I certainly do not agree with “Bootstrap Cook” that the solution to those problems is to “nationalize everything” (though I would not say no to railways, some energy supply, water supply, effluent disposal etc), her tweets here have some force.

I agree particularly with her that topping-up inadequate pay via Universal Credit is conceptually misconceived; I have always said that. It rewards economic enterprises which are poor-paying employers. It subsidizes economic enterprises via taxpayer monies, in effect. Basic Income is a better way to go, for all its defects or problems.

If you have not yet worked out that the NWO/ZOG matrix pretty much controls Twitter, you have not been paying attention. Twitter is a massive scam, a con operation that has had untold billions pumped into it, and has scarcely ever, in all its years of operation, come close to turning a profit.

I blogged some time ago about how I was sure that Elon Musk was too intelligent to buy Twitter. Guess what? He has withdrawn. He obviously found out what a con the whole thing is.

I favour clemency where possible, so do not necessarily agree with the above, but for 8 years, the forces of the Kiev regime have been targeting civilians in the Donbass region. Serious problem. So many people having to work purely to pay rent to some parasite for (often) a wholly-unsatisfactory dwelling. Not a new problem, but now getting even worse.

The cost of rentals devalues the more basic kinds of work, unjustly rewards rentier parasites, and damages society in a number of ways.

There is another point, looking at that Times report: the sheer pointlessness (from the purely practical perspective) of bothering to get a “degree”, a “master’s degree”, even a “doctorate”, when every other idiot also has one.

The political implications are stark. The average age of outright owners of real property in the UK is now 68. Not so long ago, say 20-40 years, it would have been 50 or even 45.

Those property owners in their sixties, seventies, eighties often own two or more properties (second homes, holiday homes, rented-out homes— sometimes all three in one).

The tiny proportion of people (about 1 in every 200 citizens) about to choose the next Conservative Party leader and so, by default, Prime Minister, are mostly persons over 50, usually over 60, who are (again, not always but often) outright property-owners and, not infrequently buy-to-let or other rentier parasites.

This has real results: last time, that tiny electorate chose Boris-idiot as Prime Minister. This time, either Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak.

Talking of Liz Truss, I have seen the clip of her filmed as the TV debate presenter collapsed. A panicked reaction at first. Is this the person to be in command, overall, of Britain’s nuclear deterrent? Is this the person to decide whether Britain gets into a war with Russia? I hope not, though I don’t want a non-European as Prime Minister either.

Leaving aside the rights and wrongs of the rail industry dispute, what we see here is an example of what I have been blogging about for years around the Labour Party, that being that, if you like, the Labour Party has lost its former overall constituency, and has not found a credible role.

The industrial proletariat —the massed ranks of miners, dockers, railwaymen, steelworkers, factory workers, later expanded to include shopworkers etc— has pretty much ceased to exist in the UK.

Whole industries were shut down from, especially, 1980-2000, by reason of changing economic and social landscapes, accelerated by withdrawal of government subsidies.

The former “proletarians” either went into other activities where there existed no tradition of “working class” solidarity, or joined the unemployed, existing on State benefits and, in areas such as the South Wales valleys, on top-ups from disability income given out (in the 1980s) almost unchecked.

The former Labour Party stalwarts had become either Marx’s “lumpenproletariat”, or members of a new group, or perhaps a group with a new label, the “precariat”.

The latter implied a group whose lifestyle and very existence was uncertain from week to week, the polar opposite of those comfortably-off smug core Conservative Party members and voters, who had always been (and often their parents as well) well-paid, perhaps with family money, who had properties owned outright or with easily-paid-off mortgages. People whose lives were —unlike those of the “precariat”— not at all precarious.

Increasingly, the Labour Party ditched anything connecting it to “socialism” (in the UK’s more “social-democratic” form): Clause IV of the Labour Party Constitution was removed, opening the way for Tony Blair and his group to make Labour more “electable” in areas normally voting Conservative. Links with trade unions were loosened.

The strategy worked: in 1997, Labour had what many still call a “landslide” victory, though it still garnered only 43.2% of the popular vote (Conservatives 30.7%; LibDems 16.8%).

The absurd First Past The Post system gave Labour its “landslide” in MP numbers, despite the Labour popular vote having risen by only a modest amount. The same effect helped the LibDems, whose MP numbers almost tripled (to 46 from 18), despite the LibDem popular vote having fallen by one point. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_United_Kingdom_general_election.

In 1997, the old industrial regions and cities still voted Labour. South Wales, the Midlands and Northern conurbations, the industrial parts of the North-East, much of Scotland (especially the industrialized Central Belt), and some parts of the London area.

Labour, as an entrenched “one-party” political monopoly (in its core areas), has only remained entrenched in parts of London, parts of South Wales, parts of the North, North-East, North-West, and a few parts of the Birmingham/West Midlands area. Scotland is gone, most of Wales is gone, almost all of southern and central England outside London has gone.

Corbyn tried to appeal to the old Labour heartlands, as well as reaching out to the new “identity politics” of, mainly, London— the blacks, the other non-whites, the precariat generally, and the “useful idiots” of white pseudo-intellectual “wokedom”.

Corbyn failed, but not as badly as many have said. What sank Corbyn-Labour was that many voters outside London would not accept his clunky 1970s pseudo-socialism, or his infatuation with the “blacks and browns”.

That perception was intensified by the basically Jewish attacks on Corbyn (since he became leader). In the Press, on TV, on radio. Many Labour MPs were completely in the Jew-Zionist pocket, and made pronouncements against Labour even during the 2017 and 2019 elections.

Keir Starmer, despite his first name and Labour-voting parents, is someone with quite shallow roots in Labour (born in London, brought up in affluent Oxted, Surrey, and attended Reigate Grammar (which became private/independent while he was there); he became a barrister, married a Jewish woman, and their children have been brought up as if full-Jew).

Starmer’s response to Labour’s decreasing relevance has been the opposite of that of Corbyn. Starmer wants to appeal to what is left of the old Labour heartlands, while also making Labour “electable” for the rest of the country. No “socialism” to frighten the horses, just (supposedly) competent managerial semi-social-democracy. Basically, a (less convincing?) Tony Blair/Gordon Brown strategy.

Part of Starmer’s plan is to present Labour as a party which disapproves of industrial action, and which does not want to return to (what is perceived as) the bad old 1970s.

The “workers” of the old type (as in the rail industry) are rather unwanted remote relatives now, unwanted guests at Labour’s party.

Frankly, I doubt that Starmer’s strategy will work much. It may work up to a point, Labour may regain a relatively few seats, enough to prevent whichever then idiot leads the Conservative Party from getting a majority in (as it may be) 2023 or 2024 but, in the end, Labour’s time has come and gone.

Like the Conservative Party (and LibDems), the Labour Party is little more than a name.

A trip to London

I now live in a coastal part of southern England. However, for many years, on and off, I lived in London; from 1976, when I was 19, to 1998. Various neighbourhoods in both South London and near-Central London. Lee/Blackheath, East Dulwich, Tulse Hill (briefly), New Cross (briefly), Holland Park/Shepherd’s Bush (briefly). London was always busy, of course, always fairly full of traffic etc, even in 1976. All the same, it was a functioning city that was also mostly English.

I was last regularly in London in 2002, when I was leaseholder of chambers in Gray’s Inn, ironically in part of the same building in Gray’s Inn Square where I was later, in 2016, wrongfully and in fact unlawfully disbarred: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

At that time, meaning in 2002, I lived for six months just outside London, at Higher Denham, Buckinghamshire, and travelled in daily from Denham Golf Club halt to Marylebone, a swift journey taking 20 minutes or so. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denham,_Buckinghamshire; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denham_Golf_Club_railway_station.

London in 2002 was still recognizably the same city it had been in the 1990s and 1980s, for all the many changes. Now? I think not.

Yesterday, it was necessary for me to travel to and through London. My first visit since I spoke at the London Forum in 2017.

The train journey to Waterloo was all right, bearing in mind that, for the first time in many years, I travelled Standard Class (i.e. Second). £27 one way (a discount ticket, bought online via Trainline). Included my onward journey to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Not bad value, anyway.

The train filled up at Southampton, partly with quite a few Chinese. Is that something to do with Boris-idiot’s invitation to the Hong Kong Chinese to settle here? I do not know.

The train was reasonably comfortable, and the cool air-conditioning pleasantly powerful.

Arriving in London, I noticed how the skyline and cityscape has changed even since my last visit, five years ago. More tall residential buildings. I noticed out of the windows the once-prominent but now rather less noticeable bulk of Century House, the one-time SIS/MI6 HQ, now housing expensive apartments.

Exiting the train at Waterloo, I made the fateful mistake of avoiding the Underground for the connection to Marylebone, and opting for a taxi.

What on Earth has happened to London? There were at least two demonstrations impeding the traffic, including one by flag-waving anti-Brexit cretins in Whitehall. Nearby streets were full of literally thousands of Chinese and other tourists. Hundreds of police. Dozens of parked and moving police vehicles. Scruffy-looking uniformed police standing around laughing and joking with each other. Sirens everywhere. Just a dystopian hell.

To make it worse, Edgware Road was also blocked by police for some reason, but my driver managed to get police permission to go another route to the rest of the traffic.

At Marylebone Station, I was in another non-English world. Back in the 1980s, early 1990s, Marylebone was a pleasant, and most of the day seemingly deserted, traditional station. Now, white walls, white flooring, and coffee kiosks selling the stuff at £3 or £4 a pop. Hordes of travellers (most foreign). I heard little English spoken, but just a wave of jabbering in Arabic, various Eastern European tongues, even Hebrew (not that I speak it, but I know how it sounds).

Marylebone Station has become what Houston Stewart Chamberlain said of the Mediterranean, “a chaos of peoples” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Foundations_of_the_Nineteenth_Century].

The train to Oxford via (inter alia) Gerrards Cross, my first destination, was a small, three-carriage diesel. Rather pleasant, but too full. Not everyone got a seat. Again, most were not British. Not a bad journey though. Little more than 20 minutes and we were there. What a relief after the crazy chaos that is Central London in 2022.

It does the soul good to experience what is left of the beauty of the real English countryside, though. Later in the afternoon, I was driving through the area of Culham (Oxfordshire). Seems too beautiful an area to have a nuclear research station, but there it is.

The Western msm now awakening to reality. Kiev-regime forces east of the Dnieper are, as predicted on the blog, running out of fuel, ammunition, heavy armament, perhaps food as well. Russian forces have taken Severodonetsk and are closing in on Ukrainian forces in several places, though the Ukrainians seem well-embedded defensively in some areas of the Donetsk region.

The above map shows the state of play as of yesterday (24 June 2022).

I have predicted previously that Russian forces would move up from the Sea of Azov coastal zone to Zaporozhye, Dnipro, and then northward, following the river to somewhere southeast of Kiev itself. Meanwhile, once the Donetsk and Lukhansk areas are secured, Russian forces will move west and northwest from there, as well as west/southwest from Kharkov, once, or if, Kharkov is in Russian hands.

If that is done, the bulk of Eastern Ukraine will be in Russian hands. Kiev will then be threatened again.

The pockets of Kiev-regime resistance here and there have not, so far, amounted to a counter-offensive. Even in the Kiev area, Ukrainian forces moved back into previously-occupied areas only because Russian forces left. The prisoners exchanged on both sides so far amount to several thousands, however.

It is for the Russian General Staff (the “Stavka“, in traditional terminology) to decide, if the above turns out that way, whether Kiev or Odessa is the greater prize. Psychologically, and in terms of propaganda or public relations, Kiev; however, Russian capture of Odessa and the remaining Black Sea coast would choke off any possibility of large-scale Ukrainian grain exports, or any relief by sea.

At any rate, it seems clear that the tide of war has changed in favour of the Russian forces.

Vasilka Stancheva, 22, was caught by British Transport Police officers in plain clothing rummaging through the pensioner’s handbag outside Oxford Circus station.

At the time, the 22-year-old was wearing a leather jacket and blue hat. She used the accessory to block the view of her right hand as she rooted around in the woman’s rucksack.

Within 24 hours she was charged with attempted theft, and put in front of Westminster Magistrates Court.

There, she was sentenced to 28 days in jail.

A month earlier she was caught using the exact same tactic on another person, where she again targeted and lurked behind an elderly woman on Tottenham Court Road in the West End.

For her first offence, she was charged £369 – and spared time jail.”

Now look look again, with more scrutiny.

Firstly, the Daily Mirror has seen fit to omit the very obvious fact, looking at the criminal’s features, skin colour etc, that said criminal is a Gypsy from Central or Eastern Europe.

Secondly, look at her practised technique, as reported. This is a professional pickpocket, but the Westminster Magistrates’ Court has seen fit to sentence her to only (in reality) a couple of weeks in prison.

Westminster Mags was the same court in which persecuted singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz was sentenced to a far longer term simply for lampooning Jewish behaviour in cartoons, sketches, and song.

The court seems to have twice treated “Ms. Stancheva” as if she were some misguided young person who had made an uncharacteristic mistake of some kind. In reality many of the Roma and other similar Gypsies of Eastern Europe intensively train their children from an early age to commit certain types of crime. A predatory tribe, known throughout Europe for centuries.

I have seen examples myself, and seen Home Office reports about it (when I was a practising barrister in the early/mid 1990s).

Why did the court not properly take into account the previous conviction, only weeks before the latest one?

Incidentally, it is clear to me, reading between the lines, that “Ms. Stancheva” was captured not by chance but because police surveillance on the Underground noted her Gypsy appearance; she was obviously tailed and observed closely, and finally arrested.

What kind of deterrent to her and other Gypsies (and other non-Gypsy malefactors) is what amounts to a two-week sentence? Odds-on, the creature will be back “at it” within weeks.

Incidentally, also, I would bet my shirt on her living in London social housing paid for, ultimately, by the British people; I bet she also gets various State benefit monies that should be reserved for (real) British people.

You ask “why did people vote Leave, years ago“? In reality, to get rid of evil trash of this sort. It has never happened.

Were I in a position of power, I would look at covertly or otherwise eliminating social cancers from our national life.

I was just reminding myself of the biography of the writer, Leslie Charteris, whose best-known work features The Saint, later a 1960s TV series starring Roger Moore.

As a child of about 7 -9 years old, I loved that TV series, and rather fancied myself as the title character, when older. What happened?!

The Saint also featured in films, and in other TV adaptations, from the 1930s through to 1997.

“Charteris” (in fact a half-Chinese born in Singapore, and whose birth name was Leslie Charles Bowyer-Yin), seems to have had quite as many weird and wonderful jobs as me, and a few adventures as well. Saw a couple of tweets by some “human rights” barrister (QC, no less, which would have been impressive decades ago, but less so now, when 1 out of 10 barristers is officially ranked as Queen’s Counsel).

Said QC has apparently had death threats (but gave no details), and she apparently blames “Boris”-idiot’s hot air about immigration (which has skyrocketed since he started to pose as Prime Minister) for said alleged threats.

A question for my blog readers: when I was (wrongfully and, it now seems, unlawfully) disbarred in 2016, and at the instigation of a pack of malicious Jews, how many “human rights” lawyers spoke up to defend me? Too hard to guess? All right. How many barristers of any type or specialism spoke up for me?

None. Not one. Not one “human rights” barrister (whether or not holding the now very-devalued “QC” rank label); not one barrister of any specialism. Not one unknown to me, and not even one of those known to me, with many of whom I had been on friendly terms until I ceased Bar practice in 2008.

In fact, a few barristers and wannabee barristers (whom I had never once encountered) even tried to curry favour with the Jews by attacking me, or sneering at me on Twitter, or elsewhere.

Not one “human rights” or other barrister (or solicitor) has, since the events of late 2016, said a word in my “defence” (which I do not need, actually, having done no wrong; indeed, the contrary). I have seen Ukraine develop as a “fake state” and indeed “failed state” over the past 30 years. There were even strong possibilities, ~23 years ago, that I might spend time there (maybe two years or longer, in Kiev and/or Odessa and/or elsewhere).

Quite a few tweets seen this morning talking about the “suspension” (expulsion?) of the “Andrea Urban Fox” Twitter account. I have seen, in the past, a few tweets from that person (who seems to be tied up with the Jew-Zionists in some way). Not one tweet was of any interest whatever. Just rubbish. Why do so many people post meaningless rubbish on Twitter, and in some cases for hours daily? I can only suppose that it gives them something to do.

I cannot remember now whether Andrea Urban Fox ever tweeted about me. I think that she may have done, critically, and several years ago. No matter, anyway.

Maybe now, if the “suspension” actually turns out to be a permanent expulsion, “Andrea Urban Fox” will find something useful to do with her day(s).

I agree with both of the above tweets. In what world are those people worth that pay? When Justin Webb returned to the UK after having spent several years in Washington for the BBC, he was asked the main difference between the UK and USA, and trotted out the old story about the younger man looking at another man”s very expensive car and exclaiming either (UK) “he should not have such a car” or (USA) “one day I shall have such a car“. The BBC is out of its time, really. Its output is now certainly not of higher quality than that of its competitors, and as for it being “ad-free”, not so; it advertises itself and its output constantly, and shows government propaganda quite often (as well as in its shows).

The BBC receives excessive funding via the “licence fee” system, a tax by any other word, enforced by bailiff-like enforcement staff. Even today, there are people (often poor single mothers etc) in prison for (following court order) not paying, or being able to pay, that bloody “licence fee”.

Now I read that the best of the BBC TV channels, BBC Four, is going to be axed to save money! The only decent part of the BBC left. It really is time to get rid of the BBC’s “licence fee” funding and make it compete on a level with the other channels (now numbered in the dozens).

I might take a different view, were the BBC on a higher general cultural level, but that is not the case (even on BBC2) now, and has not been so for decades. As said, the best bit of the output, on BBC Four, is going to be axed.

As for BBC Radio— appalling. Radio 4 is almost entirely unlistenable now, while Radio 3 has been greatly dumbed down.

Get rid. Take away Justin Webb’s (and others’) rice bowls.

Talking of the BBC, I was interested to see that a son of the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko, one Sasha Yevtushenko, is now a BBC radio producer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasha_Yevtushenko. Aged 43, apparently.

I recall meeting the then very young (maybe about 4-y-o, cannot quite recall) Sasha Yevtushenko, sometime in the early 1980s, when at Bournemouth with my then girlfriend, who was a friend of his mother, the third wife of the poet.

The maternal grandmother of Sasha Yevtushenko lived in some expensive part of Bournemouth, very close to the sea, and had one of those Victorian wooden beach huts in which people change for swimming, which huts now sell, sometimes, for tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds. That one was on a quasi-private beach.

Despite the hot weather, we were the only people there. It was like a small cove, as I remember. I also remember the almost (?) hyperactive little boy holding the door handle from the outside, shouting out “Nilzya!” (“Not allowed!” in Russian) repeatedly and (for no reason) refusing to allow me to exit the wooden hut. There were small windows in the door. I could see him holding the handle.

What can a polite guest do? One can hardly force open the door and possibly hurt the small child, no matter how peculiar his behaviour. In the end his mother called him.

Something that has struck me in the past decade, when I have been a serial visitor (not usually as patient) to NHS hospitals, is the lack of any restful, peaceful atmosphere. It must be terrible to be unwell and not only have to live, and sleep, in a ward full of strangers but also with the amount of noise of all sorts. Like being in a busy railway station.

I never saw Ricky Gervais stand up for the free speech rights of, inter alia, me…or Alison Chabloz, or David Icke, or Jez Turner, or David Irving (etc)…

I have never met Fry, but I knew someone who met him at a wedding in the 1980s, and my friend (a Labour Party activist himself, in fact) was quite surprised and almost shocked by what he said were Fry’s “incredibly Left-wing” views.

Like many Americans, that one fails to see that, while it is true that there is vast disparity of wealth in the UK, the disparity is actually less so here than in the USA. As for the “standard of living” enjoyed by Americans, in many cases it is far below that of many Brits in the UK.

I myself have met multimillionaires in the US, as well as ordinarily-wealthy people, but I have in the past also met many poor people there. The median income may be higher, but when you factor in the cost of paying for medical services, tertiary education etc, the situation is not so clear-cut. Not to mention the fact that most working Americans get almost no paid holiday time

Re. Alison Chabloz herself, she failed last Thursday to get bail pending her appeal against her most recent magistrates’ court conviction for lampooning Jewish behaviour, having been sentenced to 22 weeks (11 weeks actually in prison) on 14 April 2022, and so will remain in Bronzefield Prison (near Heathrow Airport) until 29 June 2022, unless released early on electronic tag (which seems unlikely, at present).
