Very much also the truth in the UK (indeed, even more than in the USA). My own experiences over the past decade, and previously, have confirmed and re-confirmed that.

Isn’t “democracy” wonderful? The people of Filton (Bristol) kicked out the former MP, Jack Lopresti (Conservative Friends of Israel), a thick one-time Italian ice-cream salesman, only to be saddled with “young and aspiring” Claire Hazelgrove (Labour Friends of Israel).

At 36 (37 next week), Claire Hazelgrove may be young-ish, but not, as far as I can see, very idealistic, and she obviously aspires to get as much money for herself as she can, though she has pledged not to take outside work (if offered, which is unlikely).

As to her “career” to date, nothing appears. Born in 1988, she read politics at the University of York, did a post-grad year at Bath, after which she seems to have done not very much. Her academic time must have ended in or about 2013. Then there appears to be a gap for about a decade until the General Election of 2024.

Well, the “Israelis” or Israeli Jews, really have come full circle, from posing as world “victims” for at least 80 years (and also for hundreds of years prior to the foundation of the Israeli state) to attacking mothers and children with bombs, flamethrowers and tank fire, to shooting children lining up for food (laid out as bait) while, at same time, cutting off food, water, and medicines from Gaza.

Finally, “deportation” of the Gazan population to areas where the Israeli Jews are setting up concentration camps. They, the Israeli Jews themselves, call those areas concentration camps (in unguarded moments).

Gaza then to be repopulated by Zionist Jew fanatics from “Israel” or the slum areas of Brooklyn etc.

The problem here, the source of the problem, lies not only in Israel but in the USA, London, Paris etc.

Stray thought on a hot day

In such a hot season as we now have in southern England, there is always, and now is, a plague of some kind of flying ants. I dislike killing anything (even “weeds”, noxious insects etc), but there are times when one just has to steel oneself, get the insecticide, and try to eliminate the nests of the flying ants, while also directly crushing stray insects that pop up.

I can smell the “diversity” from here… either the two blacks are “boat people” or (more likely) are just part of the “multicultural” “diversity” rabble which has overrun London, among other cities, for decades.

The miscreants know that the store employees are told not to use force, they know that the shoppers nearby will not try to stop them, either because they don’t want to be seen as “racist” or because they don’t care about the multi-hundred million profits of Waitrose and the like being impacted (in fact I have some sympathy with the latter point of view).

The untermenschen in question are unafraid of the police, firstly because it is quite unlikely that the police will even turn up; also, because if the police actually do turn up, there is every chance that the police people will be young women frightened of them and who, if then assaulted, will wail and cry like little girls (as recently seen in other cases) and be utterly useless.

Finally, of course, the “perps” know that, if actually arrested, they will almost certainly get bail pending any trial and/or sentence and, if actually sentenced to imprisonment (unlikely), will get a sentence measured in weeks, will only serve 40% or, soon, perhaps 20% of the headline time, and so will soon be back “at it” within weeks or even days. Even a 10-week sentence is now really 4 weeks, and may soon be 2 weeks. If that…

I was just looking at a local newspaper report. Someone (with 145 “previous”!) was sentenced to 10 weeks for similar crimes. Point proven. The prisons are full for several reasons, but anyway mostly full of blacks and browns, rather than real British people. Not entirely, but mostly, looking at proportions etc.

Both are a problem. I myself would certainly not wear my Rolex Seadwellers, if I still had any of them (sold long ago to fund survival in a finance-capitalist society, sadly), and if I still lived in London.

Obviously, the replacement of real Brits by blacks, browns, and others, is a tragic disaster, whereas the crime problem is “only” 95% connected to the migration invasion and “diversity”.

Terrible, but young ladies like that should simply not be front-line police. The public deserve firm but fair police who can do the job properly, not young ladies in uniform who, on being attacked, cry and wail like upset little girls, and then themselves need protection .

Yes to more English/British children, but no to more children from non-whites resident in the UK.

Even that does not tell the whole story, because quite a high proportion of the grandmothers, or grandfathers, or both, of the remaining 66% are in fact also non-white, non-European.

About 1,600 babies are born daily in the UK. Only about 400 of those are actually English/British, or fully English/British.

8 out of 10 of those countries are very backward, and so are most of the people. As for “Romanians“, I would be prepared to bet that most, the vast majority, are not real Romanians at all but Roma Gypsies.

As an outsider, not involved in secret activities, I have always been sceptical of the value of the SIS/MI6 apparat. I still am. Where are the successes? (and it is no answer to reply that they have to be kept secret).

Looking at Steele’s tweet, I might bat back at him the same question, but about his own activity— cui bono?

I have just looked at a few recent tweets by Steele. He is, it seems to me, in danger of becoming obsessed by the idea of Trump as Russian secret (or not-so-secret) agent.

As for the Conservative Party, probably damaged beyond repair now. 14 years of terrible misgovernment in almost all if not all areas, and now “led” by hopeless Nigerian woman Kemi Badenoch.

High Peak is an unfortunate constituency. First they had Conservative Friends of Israel MP Robert Largan (2017-2024), now they have Labour Friends of Israel MP Jon Pearce (2024-). The difference is mainly the party label.

More seriously, Basic Income is the way forward. Akin to Pension (Guarantee) Credit, but rolled out to every (real) English/British citizen (i.e. not fuzzie-wuzzies straight off the boats).

I have only ever met one person who has been to Vorkuta, and his was an involuntary visit that lasted for many years; a Pole sent there as a young man, I think in or about 1940, along with many others. I believe that he somehow survived a decade there, and was eventually repatriated to his family in Bielsko-Biala, south-west Poland. Maybe about 65 when I met him and his family in 1988, he was a bit of a tough guy, and he must indeed have been tough, in more youthful days, to survive for 10 years as a prisoner and slave-labourer in Vorkuta.

Looking at that film (above), I am again struck by the harshness and brutality that humans can inflict on each other, but also by the incredible resilience and ability to create that humans have.

Vorkuta, like other cities in inhospitable areas and harsh climates (Magadan, Norilsk etc) which were wholly a product of the Stalinist period of the Soviet system (Vorkuta did not exist even as a hamlet until the 1930s), had at one time (1960s, 1970s, 1980s) a real city life, with a railway station, buses, an airport, a city theatre, hospitals, cinemas, sports centres, even a symphony orchestra; also, some fairly impressive-looking official buildings.

Vorkuta had, at one time, 115,000 inhabitants. The real population is now thought to be well below 50,000, perhaps as low as 30,000.

My point is that civilization is not a simple continuum. Rudolf Steiner, Valentin Tomberg etc have described human evolution as a staggered spiral. There can be breaks in the spiral. Civilizations or cultures arise, but also decay and disappear. Amazing places can be created and built out of “nothing”, but those same places can fall to pieces and disappear even from memory and/or from recorded history.

The beautiful city of St. Petersburg was created from swamp and forest by the vision, in origo, of one man, Peter the Great, and still exists, now with millions of inhabitants (it is commonly said to be the 4th or even 3rd-largest city in Europe, depending on whether Istanbul is accepted as European). On the other hand, famous Sparta left almost nothing behind it but memories become history. Troy was, for many centuries until its site was rediscovered in the 19thC, thought to be not even legendary but mythical. New York City was created from “nothing”, from the 17thC onward, and still exists, yet the huge cities which once existed in Mexico and Central America and elsewhere have either disappeared or been supplanted (as at Mexico City) by very different successors.

Vorkuta was built on brutality and suffering, but then so was Petersburg…

The world, particularly Europe but also the Middle East, North America, Russia, stands in peril from massive and probably nuclear war. The cities of the West and Centre of Europe also stand in peril from internal strife caused mainly by migration invasion by backward hordes from other parts of the world. Our present overall culture and civilization may not survive the 21st Century, not in their current forms.

We should all be thinking about these matters and about how to salvage as much as possible of our present advanced culture and civilization, should that become necessary.

Looks like I missed out in a big way on my two visits (1993 and 2007) to Moscow! In some ways, at least… Still, they were business trips (mainly).

Having said that, there were huge changes visible in 2007 as compared to 1993, and it seems clear that the changes since 2007 have been at least as great.

Letting existing sick and disabled people continue to receive help, but cutting off help (income) from similar people in the near future, is “morally wrong“, in my view. That is almost unarguable, surely?

Trickett cannot be bullied by Labour whips. He is already 74, so unlikely to contest another general election in 4+ years’ time. If deselected, he could, should he so choose, stand as Independent Labour, and so either win or let in Reform, which may have a good chance anyway.

Starmer-stein is too busy complying with whatever Israel and the UK Jewish lobby want done to actually do anything positive for this country or its (real) inhabitants.

So much of the msm/entertainment industry/music industry etc is in the hands of Jewish persons, and (as the Jew-Zionist orgs constantly remind us) about 95% of Jews in the UK support Israel, support the war in Gaza, the attacks against Iran (etc).

Russia is slowly, painfully slowly, winning by attrition. It should never have come to this, but “we are where we are”…

The work and pensions secretary’s unspoken reason for sticking to the four-point reform is that without it, and under the OBR-assessed fiscal rules, Reeves would have to fill a £5bn hole in her finances in the autumn’s budget, and not the £2.5bn hole created by Kendall’s partial welfare-reform climb down. That is a big difference when it comes to any taxes Reeves may have to raise or any spending she may have to cut. So a growing number of Labour MPs see this subservience to the OBR and the fiscal rules as just the stupidest motivation for making today’s decisions that affect the lives of the most fragile of UK citizens – decisions that will, on the government’s own calculations, shift 150,000 vulnerable people into poverty. These MPs were bitten once by the OBR dog when Reeves chose to means-test the winter fuel allowance as proof of her fealty to the OBR’s jurisdiction over her own fiscal rules. With the disability reforms, many of them now feel twice shy. They don’t ask why a Labour government respects the OBR, especially after the Truss/Kwarteng fiscal debacle caused by their disrespect for the OBR. But they do question why the Chancellor and Treasury endow the OBR with an almost mystical ability to determine which policies are sensible and why Reeves has seemingly abdicated responsibility for trying to sell the government’s initiatives to the country’s creditors independently of the OBR and fiscal rules straitjacket. So whatever the outcome of the vote tomorrow on the welfare reforms, Reeves and Starmer are now under enormous pressure – probably irresistible pressure – to lose their OBR religion.“]

Better tap the American taxpayer again…

I am surprised that Iran has (apparently) not thought of using 1980s-style Soviet-engineered atomic “suitcase bombs” in both the USA and Israel. The original ones were powerful enough to destroy anything within a radius of about 1-2 miles of the point of detonation.

Quite dispersed. At least 6 or 7 target zones. I have seen tweets suggesting nearly over 500 actual points of impact.

Remember Clausewitz. Concentration of forces. Schwerpunkt.

People generally are pretty tired of that whole hypocrisy of government saying that cuts to disability and other State benefits are somehow being “kind” or “caring”. Not so. At best, callous and aimed at “saving money” (which will then be really wasted, elsewhere). At worst, a refined form of cruelty and indeed sadism. Ian Dunce Duncan Smith, a fraud, an expenses cheat, and a total deadhead, was one of the first to do this.

In the end, some form of Basic Income, even if very modest, must be the way forward. End the bureaucratic nonsense of jumping through hoops, snooping, “assessments” etc.

Starmer-stein— no ideals, no ideas, no decency, no honesty. Just a freeloading, careerist, pro-Jewish lobby, pro-Israel, little bastard. Utterly clueless and incompetent as well.

I too agree. As I blogged at the time of the Brize Norton incursion, had the MOD or RAF had even one dozy security guard or policeman, unarmed but awake, on duty, the protesters would have been scared off or, even if not scared off, easily detained or arrested within a few minutes, once back-up had been summoned.

Only the Jew-Zionist lobby (effectively saying what the Israeli Embassy says) is calling Palestine Action “terrorist”, when in fact they are just protesters utilizing direct action. If they damage anything, then charge them with criminal damage, not “terrorism”. That’s just ridiculous.

Fixing it? Starmer-stein’s little cabal of pro-Israel freeloaders is doing even worse, incredibly, than the brainless “Conservatives” during 2010-2024.

Mark Lewis, very far from the hotshot lawyer persona he has been “cosplaying” for many years, backed by other Jews in the mass media etc. A lawyer at best semi-competent, really quite incompetent, indeed professionally negligent, and utterly dishonest. In fact, just another Jewish fraud. Also, a malicious maker and facilitator of false complaints to police etc.

Ah. Interesting. Looks as though the numbers of alleged victims have been edited down. I thought that the Jews/Israelis were still claiming that about 1,000, or even 1,500, had been killed. Seems that (as happened at the “reconstructed” site of the early 1940s Auschwitz camp, where a “4 million victims” sign was officially altered to about a quarter of that figure), the 1,500 supposedly killed by Palestinian Arabs in southern Israel in 2023 is now 378, at least at the festival itself. The other hundreds of victims, if they existed at all, were presumably killed by the brutal Israeli armed forces themselves as “collateral damage”.

None of that, though, explains how the Israeli Jews (and those supporting them in the UK and elsewhere) think that the deaths of 378 Jews etc by a particular paramilitary/political group somehow justifies the killing by Israeli Jewish forces of anything up to 200,000 Palestinian Arabs, mostly civilian, mostly women and children (about half of the victims being under 18 years of age). Retaliation? Revenge? Blood lust? Cruelty and sadism?

The disproportion is incredible.

Bombing, white phosphorus bombing, flamethrower attacks, drone attacks, shooting, grenade attacks, cutting off of medical supplies, cutting off of food, cutting off of water, shooting people lining up for food and water.

“They” are still whining about (alleged) German actions 80-95 years ago, yet look at what is happening now in Gaza, the West Bank, Iran etc!

Of course, the Israeli Jewish game-plan seems to be to kill as many Gazans as possible, and to incarcerate the rest in concentration camps (under some such name as “safe areas”), so that Jews can colonize Gaza again.

I missed that ridiculous jamboree in Venice. Thankfully.

Dystopian London, on the island of strangers

Just look at that. Near-Central London. A citizen is attacked by an untermensch from God-knows-where. No station staff are around, no passers-by try to help much, or at all. The “island of strangers”, as Starmer-stein recently called it (and he ought to know— after all, he helped to bring it to birth…).

Eventually, the police do arrive, and arrest the untermensch, who struggles violently. At least that’s one detained, but how many more tens of thousands (or more) are still out there? What, anyway, will happen to that one? A suspended sentence for attempted robbery? Only a wall, and a squad, will eliminate that sort.

I know that underground station, the District/Circle Line station at Earl’s Court. In bygone days, mid-1970s and up to mid-1980s, I would go there from time to time, then walk to the now-defunct and disappeared Kensingston Rifle and Pistol Club, then located in a hidden place (unseen from the street) behind a caravan sales place at the junction of Warwick Road and Cromwell Road. The site is now yet another Tesco “superstore”.

I used to enjoy going there. Good company. Just me and my Browning. Actually, the other members were OK, if hardly the life and soul of the party. Mostly middle-aged civil servants and unspecified professionals, plus a policeman or two (I remember one policeman whose ambition it was to be on the training team for the police; as I recall, Met. Police, but the training zone was outside London, in Essex; he wanted to get paid for doing his hobby, in effect). The actor, Peter Wyngarde, was there too.

At the clubhouse bar, I used to drink rum and pineapple, mostly, but the secretary had bought a job lot of old Carlsberg Special Brew, and sold it half-price, so sometimes that as well or instead of.

Blair’s and Major’s kneejerk anti-gun laws killed off pistol and rifle clubs like that, but at least we no longer have gun crime! Oh, no, wait…

In the American phrase, “what a cuck!“… Tice really is.

If that Nigerian waste of space props up Starmer-stein, then she will be left with three MPs and a dog next time round; she will be gone anyway by then, though.

One thing is for sure: the American bombing of the nuclear bases or laboratories makes no immediate difference to the current Iran-Israel war, which is being fought at long-range using conventional weapons— missiles with high-explosive warheads, drones and, on the Israeli side, bombers and fighter-bombers. In the short-term, therefore, the matter will be decided by the side that can keep on delivering warheads onto significant targets.

There must be some way for Russia to eliminate that troublesome Khazar.

Whatever the facts re. damage to those bases may be in reality, the overriding fact is that the actual war Iran-Israel will continue regardless.

The Israeli Jews (?) are out of control. Gaza is the obvious, but not the only, example.

If Iranian missile launches continue, will the Israelis, perhaps starting to run out of ground-to-air missiles, then prioritize the defence of Tel Aviv etc, moving missiles to those areas from perceivedly less important places? Hard to say at present.

As said, that may or may not be true, but in any event will not change the basic dynamics of the Iran-Israel war that Israel, after all, started recently. All that matters is how many missiles each side has.

If Netanyahu was, for once, telling the truth when saying a day or two ago that Iran still has 27,000 missiles (some sources give figures as low as 2,000), many too advanced to be easily intercepted, and if it is also true (as many claim) that Israel is running out of anti-missile missiles, then those claimed 27,000 Iranian weapons will be able to reduce Tel Aviv and other urban areas in Israel/Occupied Palestine to rubble, akin to the devastation which the Israelis have wrought in Gaza.

Ah. Another “volunteer” is escorted to his transport, waiting to take him to the frontline killing fields. The train was late by 40 minutes due to unexplained “signalling issues”. It was also filthy.

I paid nearly £8 for a pint

I offered a woman my seat on the tube without realising she was with a man who intervened and said “no man”. He was not from the UK. I think he took my gesture as an insult.

I was asked for money by homeless people 3 times in one day

I noticed several people who are paid to give information to taxpayers and tourists over the tannoy on the London Tube cannot speak English properly

A cabbie told me “London is dead most nights”, unless you are the global high net worth set or top 1%

Restaurants are visibly struggling and often hideously overpriced

I had dinner in a neighbourhood where the average rent is £3,663 per month while half of all local social housing has gone to people who were not even born in the UK

I was constantly aware I should not get my phone out on the street as 80,000 were stolen last year

I also read on the way back while checking that stat that there were 90,000 shoplifting offences in London last year, up 54%

My train back —delayed—was suddenly changed at the last minute with all passengers on board.

They were told it would no longer be stopping at all stops.

I bought a tin of instant coffee on the way home and it had a security tag on it

Maybe I’m in a bad mood and perhaps it’s amusing to think how somebody of my political outlook is “triggered” but to me there is a deeper point here

Of course, the migrant-invaders see nothing the matter with London as it now is, because where they come from is worse yet. They are from Bombay and Bangalore, the slums of teeming South Asian and East Asian cities, the ramshackle neighbourhoods of Lagos or Accra, or wherever.

Look at London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, a Muslim apostate carpetbagger in the pocket of the Jew-Zionist lobby. He himself is part of the problem, but only part.

I am very glad that I have not lived in London since 1998 (though I did live in Higher Denham, just outside London, for 6 months in 2001-2002, and worked at that time as international lawyer in London, both at Gray’s Inn, where I was leaseholder of a set of chambers, and just off Berkeley Square in Mayfair).

Ironically, my later disbarment (2016) was pronounced (by a superannuated former circuit judge chairing a 5-member panel) in the very same building where I had sat as notional “Head of Chambers” (it was actually an offshore set-up dealing with Russia, former Soviet Union, Caribbean, Brazil etc, not ordinary English Bar work), and leaseholder.

If I were to live in London today, I should probably have my Rolex watches stolen. In fact, I no longer have them anyway (sold many years ago for reasons of financial pressure, i.e. I needed the money!).

Even were I to hit the Euromillions lottery, and so be able to live in a Nash terrace at Regent’s Park, I doubt that I should bother.

Really? The station is barely a half-hour walk away. Disappointed, I had to make do with discussing it over the phone with the officer instead. Such muggings were, he said, ‘rife’ in the capital at the moment.

He asked if I wanted to take it any further and, honestly, I didn’t. The pointlessness of reporting a crime so long after the event is infuriating – it’s a tick-box exercise, nothing more. 

The chances of the police catching a gang with my vague description of their clothes and ethnicity must be almost nil.

Ultimately, pursuing a report would mean me enduring a bureaucratic hurdle – filling in more forms online, having more phone calls. And for what?

All of this could have been avoided if there were more police on our streets, which would serve as a deterrent to these thugs. It’s futile having a police force at all in London if they can’t adequately react to something like this.

Of course, what will happen is that the existing System parties will falter and fail, but Reform UK itself will become a System party in the end, if it looks like taking power. You can already see signs of that— the Jew-Zionist/Israel lobby influence, the non-European candidates etc.

All the same, this is a great thing. The Overton Window is shifting, visibly. After Reform, there may emerge, may have to emerge, a genuinely social-national party or movement. However, the “Parliamentary road” is a limited option, because the English/British will soon be a minority in the UK.

The United States, even more than Israel, has an entitled “I can bomb you but don’t you bomb me” attitude. I well recall the scalded reaction in the USA when the World Trade Center attack happened in 2001. That only happened to other people (who, many Americans think, are scarcely people at all)…

I think that that attitude goes back at least to the Second World War, when the U.S. bombing campaign in Europe laid waste huge areas not only of Germany but of several other countries as well. At that time, there was no danger at all of any country retaliating against the U.S. mainland or its population. A feeling of invulnerability.

Farage is almost pathologically pro-Jewish lobby, and pro-Israel. That is my biggest black mark for Reform UK, and supports the theory that Reform is being lined-up to take over when the main System parties finally fall, which cannot be far off.

Ecce the Nigerian woman who will soon (next general election) be “leader” of a Conservative Party with as few as 10 MPs. I imagine, though, that her MPs will dump her by the end of this year.

The premium for being slavishly pro-Israel is not high when the leaders of “Labour” and Reform UK, maybe the LibDems too, are no different.

If so, it might have been better to say that the base was totally wiped out!

Were I the Iranian decision-maker, I should make that airport a really major priority target, along with the Dimona nuclear base. After that, central Tel Aviv.

Hotels much the same. I was due to speak back in 1978 at the Clarendon Court Hotel, Little Venice. Jews connected with the pathetic Searchlight mag, now defunct, contacted the hotel management (the same kind of malicious harassment now undertaken by the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” cabal). As a result, the Clarendon cancelled, and I had to pay out for a coach to bus people who arrived there to my new venue, a large room with a bar over a pub somewhere near the river, not far from Dolphin Square.

As to the Clarendon Court Hotel, which had once been a fairly good place (foreign Test cricket teams playing at quite-nearby Lord’s would stay there in the 1970s), the last time I saw it, around 1990 or so, it was full of…yes… “asylum-seekers”, East European Gypsies etc. Yes, that’s right…35 years ago! That crap did not start in 2024, or 2010, or even 1997.

Incidentally, the Clarendon once had an amusing notice outside, relating to its spa studio: “The Body Feminine— Entrance at Rear“!

Ah. Just looked it up. The building has evidently been extensively remodelled, and is selling as multi-million-pound apartments, like the rest of London (even the old SIS/MI6 building, Century House, at 100 Westminster Bridge Road, near Lambeth North underground, is now “luxury” apartments).

The action that makes sense would be to actually have proper security on Britain’s few remaining RAF bases, and not to label a small protest group “terrorist”; which will, in any case, only drive the situation underground, I should imagine.

Russia or, rather, the Russian people, will eventually, in about 1,500 years, become the leading edge of the world, just as the Germanic/Anglo-American element now is. I cannot get too worked up about the Brize Norton attack, because for me the invasion of the UK is happening in small boats across the Channel, via “legal” immigration, and via births. I do not take “Britain’s defensive capability” against the (non-existent) “Russian threat” seriously, not in the slightest. Russia is only bristling because the UK is taking pointless and self-harming measures against Russia in the first place. We should be in loose alliance with Russia.

Having said that, it is clear that serious attackers, such as Spetsnaz commandos, would have no difficulty causing absolute havoc on such bases, should they ever be tasked with doing so.

Horrifying. A form of infanticide or even murder, in lay terms. The deliberate killing of a completely viable foetus (which after all only means unborn baby). When you consider that it is commonplace for babies to be born days or even weeks prematurely, and then go on to thrive, this proposed law, which will obviously become law now, decriminalizes the killing of any unborn child, even if done only hours, minutes, seconds even, before actual birth, and for any reason whatsoever, so long as the expectant mother does the killing. Truly horrifying.

Not sure whether the new law will validate that, exactly, because the killing will (from what I have read, anyway) have to be by the mother to escape legal sanction.

The fastest bird in level flight (top speed: 69mph/111kph), they feed on airborne insects. Modern insulation, particularly in roofs, removes the crevices and cavities where they have nested for centuries.

What are the prospects for swifts?

Grim. Swift populations in Britain slumped by 66% between 1995 and 2022 and have continued a rapid downward trend. Since the last count of 59,000 breeding pairs, the population this summer is set to be just 40,000 pairs. In five years’ time there could be fewer than 25,000, unless action is taken.

A swift brick is a hollow brick that slots into the brickwork of new or old homes, providing a cavity where swifts can nest. The bricks have also been found to help other cavity-nesting birds, including the rapidly declining red-listed house martin, house sparrow and starling. Other species including blue tits, great tits, nuthatches and wrens will also nest in the bricks.

Swift bricks are made by brick manufacturers large and small, and typically cost about £35. There is a British standard for them and some developers are already fitting them to new homes.

Amusing to see rubbish newspapers in the UK, such as the Daily Mirror, talking about what occupations might be exempt from conscription if WW3 were to start! In the nuclear age, when immensely powerful missiles can reach UK targets in minutes (I am told, maybe 8 minutes) from launch sites thousands of miles away…

I wonder how many people actually read and believe all this 1940-cosplay?

The fact remains that, in any continental-level war, with Russia on one side, and NATO states on the other, the UK would quite soon be a charred and irradiated giant bombsite. In that terrible scenario, the Daily Mirror, the other “lying Press” outlets, and warmongers such as Tobias Ellwood, would be among the first to go (whether with a bang or a whimper).

Alternative idea: Britain enters into loose alliance with Russia, leaves NATO, kicks the EU hierarchy to the kerb (while maintaining correct relations with all European powers and peoples), and stands opposed to fanatical Jewish Zionism, extreme Islamism, and all other negative influences in the world.
