The old East Prussia, and the old or former Konigsberg (now Kaliningrad) no longer exists. Much of Konigsberg (and all of its real life, and that of German East Prussia as a whole) was destroyed in 1945 by Soviet forces, not so much Russian forces as Russian-speaking Sov-Mongoloid forces, a “Mong Army” if you like. Then occupation and settlement by Russians.
East Prussia now exists only in memory.

The proscription of Palestine action was and is absurd. Translates to a Commons with about 383 Reform MPs, about 106 Lab, 56 LibDem, 40 Con, and 33 SNP (Greens 6, Plaid 5 etc). What matters in that, and in the 120+ previous opinion polls, is not the exact detail but the overall picture. Reform either —as in this poll— carrying a solid majority, or very close to an overall majority, Labour cut back, and with the loss —in most polling— of two-thirds, or even three-quarters, of its MPs.
As to the Conservative Party, few if any polls now think it can get more than 50 MPs; many put the figure as low as 30, 20 or, in a few polls, below 10.
I do not think that removing Kemi Badenoch will make a huge difference, but if Jenrick takes up the reins, it might save 10 or 20 seats.
I have blogged before to the effect that British (real British) voters, will not vote for a non-white person as Prime Minister, which —in effect— is what they would be doing if voting Conservative at present.
Yes, there are, and have been for a number of years, non-white MPs. Few have impressed, to put it mildly. A Prime Minister, though, is another level entirely.
Sunak’s electoral failure was not entirely by reason of his Indian heritage and ethnicity, but it was a significant factor for sure. Not just that he looked “foreign”, but the fact that, despite having been born here, and educated at Winchester and then Oxford, he seemed not to “get” Britishness, as when he scurried back to London from the D-Day commemorations to attend a business meeting.
Kemi Badenoch has even fewer ties and bindings here. Born in London so that she could later get a British passport (the law was changed the following year; born a year later, she would have been barred from ever getting British nationality), she was taken to Nigeria by her parents, brought up there and then in the USA, and only “returned” to this country aged 16-17. Her roots are in every sense either in Africa or America, not in Britain.
No doubt the unthinking will call me “prejudiced”, but keep her as Conservative Party leader and you will see how she does at the (?) 2029 General Election. A near-wipeout is my prediction, if she stays in her present office.
The newspapers say that Jenrick and/or others are already gathering support for a leadership bid in November or December this year. I doubt that that can revive the Conservative Party, but it might make the difference between 10 Commons seats and 30.

The first political party in government to remove the Triple Lock will lose the pensioner vote, or 90%+ of it, at once and forever. The bloc of those over 55 years of age (so pensioners plus those within about a decade of becoming pensioners) comprises at least 40% of all voters, and over 50% in quite a few marginal seats.
That, also is a voting bloc which, by and large, does vote, whereas younger voters, esp. twenty-somethings, tend not to bother. The 40% and 50% figures just given are therefore, and on the ground, more like 50% and 60%. Any party or made-up party (such as that lady’s “Moderates”) ignores the realities at its peril.

Nigerian woman Kemi Badenoch was declared the new Conservative Party leader on 2 November 2024. She is therefore immune from formal challenge until 3 November 2025. As of that date, Con Party MPs are entitled to put in letters of dissatisfaction to the Chairman of the 1922 Committee. A leadership election can be triggered by letters sent by 15% or more of Con Party MPs. That would be a mere 18 MPs at present.
My expectation is that Kemi Badenoch will face a leadership election process before the end of 2025. The first step after the election having been triggered would be a knockout ballot of MPs, in which all candidates (each having 10+ nominations) would take part; there would be a maximum of 12 candidates (because there are only 120 MPs).
Assuming that Kemi Badenoch does not step down, she would be one of those candidates, but it is quite likely that she would be eliminated early on, after her disastrous performance in the past 10 months. The Conservative Party is now as low as 15% in the polls, a level which, at a general election, might mean a cadre of as few as 20 —or even, possibly, 10— Con Party MPs in the post-GE Commons. If so, the Con Party would be only the 5th-largest party in the Commons (after Reform, Labour, LibDems, and the SNP), and might only be the 6th-largest.
Anyway, looks to me that it’s bye-bye Kemi quite soon, either way.

The emotional response to this verdict is understandable but will we ever find out why the jury decided not guilty?
Any barrister, at least any barrister grounded in reality (I myself am no longer any kind of barrister, a wrongful and unlawful disbarment having been instigated by a pack of Jews in 2016), can tell you why a jury has acquitted that anti-white black agitator who called openly in the street for white British people to have their throats cut.

I used to go occasionally to the very small (and now shut down by reason of spending cuts) Penzance County Court about 18-23 years ago. I think the last case I did there was about the loss, and valuation, of a rather expensive diamond ring.

Despite Starmer-stein having a disapproval rating of 60%, and Kemi Badenoch having one of “only” 35%, when it comes to positive approval, the two are both down in the trough of public esteem: Starmer 23%, Kemi Badenoch 24%. Indeed, fewer people actively disapprove of Kemi Badenoch (35%) than disapprove of Farage (41%), but when it comes to positive approval, Farage, on 37%, easily outpaces Kemi Badenoch’s 24%.

Quite simple. 14 years of total maladministration and misgovernment finished the Conservative Party with most of the electorate, though 3 out of every 12 voters who voted (3 out of every 20 eligible) still voted Con in 2024 (Labour had 4 out of 20 or 4 out of 12). Most of those Con voters were over 60 years of age, many over 80. They have mostly now gone to Reform UK, and many are expiring daily by reason of old age etc. The next general election may not be until 2029; how many habitual Con voters will have expired by then?

Short-sighted Con voters in some parts of England have, in the past couple of decades, shown themselves willing, in my view very wrongly, to vote for non-Europeans such as Kemi Badenoch as their constituency MP, so long as the right party label is affixed. I once stayed overnight at Mappin’s hotel, a Victorian castle hotel at Tintagel, North Cornwall, the one-time seat of King Arthur. In late 2001; December 2001. It was not really run properly as “an hotel” should be; I believe that, since then, it has been taken in hand by Mappin, the heir to a very considerable fortune (think Mappin & Webb, the jewellers). I just read today that he bought it in 1999.
When I was there, it was hugely atmospheric, like a decayed private castle, an effect emphasized by the fact that my wife and I were the only guests, and the staff, in the evening at least, consisted of a not terribly welcoming middleaged Englishman and his (possibly Austrian) wife. I recall that our rather cold room (I think it may have had a four-poster, and an ancient bar fire set into the wall) cost £200 a night, quite expensive in the money of 24 years ago. Akin maybe to £400+ today.
I well recall, after eating informally at a local pub in the nearby village (no restaurant open then at the Castle), being seated before a Hollywood-film-scale blazing fire in the Great Hall, and being served a double or triple Irish whiskey, the absence of other guests making it seem as if we were in our own home (or castle).
In the morning, a very pleasant and very rickety old retainer-woman served breakfast in a long gallery, her tiny grandchild hanging onto her skirts, as the Cornish winter waves crashed onto the rocks below, as in Rebecca.
