Even when I would drive to Plymouth to appear at the Plymouth County Court (between 2002 and 2007), the city was not a place where I would linger once my work there was done. It could be a great city, but is not, and for several reasons, one being the obvious uselessness of the local government there.

From late 2005 to 2008, I also took the ferry between Plymouth and Roscoff (Brittany) every week or two, because I lived half the time on the French side. I did not visit the city itself much before evening embarkation, though I would sometimes get a fish and chips in the city beforehand.

You would think that banning a documentary about free speech would be a bad look for a cultural institution. But that’s precisely what Rich Mix in east London has just done.

We were all set to hold the premiere of our documentary, Think Before You Post, about the rise of the British speech police, at Rich Mix on Tuesday 25 November. But last night, we received an email saying the venue would be ‘terminating [our] booking contract’. ‘Since confirming your booking, it has come to light that the content and speakers featured do not align with our values and mission here at Rich Mix’, reads the email. ‘Our founding objectives are to support marginalised communities (primarily communities facing racial inequity), promote intercultural understanding, eliminate racial discrimination, and foster equality of opportunity through arts and culture.’

Those of you who have watched the documentary might be wondering what this is getting at. After all, the film is about the people who have been arrested, prosecuted and even held on remand for alleged speechcrime – even though they hadn’t said anything the least bit hateful.

Rich Mix claims that the ‘nature of the event was not fully disclosed to us upon booking’. This is despite the fact the documentary was already available to watch online when we snagged the slot. And all of the speakers who were due to take part in the post-screening Q&A were in the film itself.

I wish I could say I was surprised. The cultural sector is overrun with woke scolds who wouldn’t know what free speech is if it bit them on the backside. The gentleman who emailed us about the cancellation naturally had his pronouns in his email signature, too.

This isn’t even the first time our documentary about censorship has been censored. On X, it has been slapped with age restrictions, despite having no age-inappropriate content in it, thanks to the illiberal Online Safety Act.

I suppose we should be happy to have been proven right. But vindication is cold comfort when it comes at the cost of a great evening of screening the film and discussing it with our contributors, friends and – most importantly – supporters.

If you have bought tickets, please bear with us. We are working flat-out to find a new venue for the same night. But if we fail to do so, we will of course refund everyone in full, and postpone for a later date. (If you’d like a refund now anyway, just get in touch and we’ll process it.)

In any case, we are determined not to be silenced. Clearly, the core message of Think Before You Post – for free speech and against censorship – is more important than ever. Even if it doesn’t jive with the sacred ‘values’ of Rich Mix.“]

The “industrial proletariat” no longer exists except in small scattered places, like an endangered species. What does exist is the Welfare State’s version of a modern lumpenproletariat, whether white “chavscum” or the equally cultureless, value-less, and raceless, black/brown hordes.

Then we have the associated but slightly different “precariat” of people sometimes employed, sometimes self-employed, sometimes unemployed. People without much job security or life security. Very widespread. Regular readers of the blog may have seen a few of my own experiences in that regard.

What does misnamed (now) “Labour” have to say to all of those? Not much, certainly not since 1989, and even less since Starmer-stein, Rachel Reeves, and Yvette Cooper took over..

Those demographic elements also suggest considerable political volatility.

Starmer-Labour is a nullity. Stands for nothing. Achieves nothing. Its MPs are little nothings. Starmer-stein himself is spiritually empty, a political and personal nothing, in the pocket of the Israel lobby, and motivated only by careerism and money-grasping.

No real English/British people voted for any immigration.

Goodwin and other Reform types will not admit that the illegal migration is only 5%-10% of the whole, and so is only one part of the problem. “Legal” migration is far bigger. Then there is the disguised migration— births to non-Europeans and to European women impregnated by non-Europeans.

It has been clear for at least a year that the once-great Conservative Party is on the way out. By the time of the next general election, many of the long-term loyalist voters of the Con Party will no longer be around. They are the backbone of the Con vote.

I went into a small village shop recently, and there, holding forth to the shopkeeper and his wife, was some old lady of, I should imagine, about 90, certainly around that age. She was saying that people on “Jobseeker’s”, i.e. unemployment benefit, should be cut off after 3 months. Utterly moronic, and echoing the propaganda of the part-Jews David Cameron-Levita and George Osborne 10-15 years ago. There you have the sort of voter who might even now stick with the Con Party, or maybe move to Reform (if she lives that long).

I should not be surprised to see the Con Party vote at the next general election decline to around 10%, especially if Reform continues to hold pole position.

When a police woodentop came to my door about 18 months ago and in relation to alleged tweets, the first thing he said, after explaining it was about tweets reported (somehow, by an anonymous someone), was that I need not worry, because the matter had been marked “NFA— No Further Action“.

One might ask, if a matter has already been designated “No Further Action“, surely there is then no need for a uniformed constable to visit the alleged tweeter at his home in the first place? Or was that a British equivalent of the implied threats made to dissidents in the late Soviet Union, or the DDR/East Germany? i.e. “be careful what you write! We are watching”…

Imagine wasting supposedly scarce police resources on that.

I might add that in fact I was expelled from Twitter in 2018, at the instigation of a pack of Jews connected with the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], and have, therefore, not tweeted anything at all since then. I notified the policeman of that fact, and he reluctantly accepted it; he then went away thanking me, though he did not salute me as he should have done (only —sort-of— joking…).

Incidentally, the problem with such abuse of the law (“lawfare”), and the abusive law itself (Communications Act 2003, s.127) does not lie mainly with the police but with the Jew-Zionist cabals that have managed to influence, persuade, demand, wheedle, bribe, or suborn the police and the (now-thankfully-doomed) “police and crime commissioners”.

We are talking not about Jews in general but about that tiny activist, and fanatically pro-Israel, element. Out of around 250,000 or more Jews in the UK, only a few hundred, at most, are active in the said cabals (such as the “CAA”).

Good to see that the stupid “police and crime commissioners” experiment, another still-born idea from the misgovernment of David Cameron-Levita, is going to be binned in 2028. Were it my decision, I would sack them all immediately, without compensation. Mostly either superannuated cops or failed System politicians.

One problem with them (apart from their utter uselessness, and cost) is that they are open to being suborned by outside pressure groups, particularly by the Israel lobby, as happened with the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”, which has tried to worm its way into a number of police forces, both via these ridiculous “commissioners” and also directly.

For once, the Starmer government has done something of which I approve.

Another good aspect of this is that there will be 49 job vacancies fewer for Con and Lab MPs who lose their seats in 2028 or 2029. Let them suffer.

It is more than possible that at first, in the UK and in the wider world, the white European population will ebb away, become a minority, with the less capable black-brown population being the majority. That is of course the situation already in much of the world.

Eventually, the world’s whole population will crash. That will save the world, save the environment etc, but leave humanity on a level not far from extinction. It is then that a core of post-Aryan white Europeans or Eurasians will be able to procreate sufficiently to repopulate that future world, and at the same time create a foundation for an even later super-race.

The Church of England long ago went the way of all other major UK institutions. It has become useless, a waste of space.

The assertion that all social-national or conservative-populist people are “knuckledraggers”, “thick”, “stupid” etc is ingrained in the “antifa” —and also, often, in the Jew-Zionist— outlook. They find it hard (because implausible) to say such about me (though some have), because it is not easy to cast such stones at someone with an IQ measured at (very long-ago, admittedly) 156, who has a law degree, professional legal qualifications in two jurisdictions etc, and who has lived and worked across the world, but some others on the national or nationalist side are thought fair game, and are unfairly misdescribed.

Actually, Lab and Con are but two sides of the same coin.

As for that opinion poll, it would translate to a Commons with about 445 Reform MPs (so a huge majority), 52 Greens (making the Green Party, incredibly, the official Opposition), 42 SNP, 40 LibDems, 23 Lab, and 13 Con.

If that poll is anywhere near accurate, it changes the landscape completely. An unstoppable Reform majority in the Commons (but with no members at all in the Lords), the Green Party as nominal official Opposition, SNP as the third-largest Commons bloc, and the “main parties” of the past and up to the present, Lab and Con, all but exterminated.

People are very very tired and angry at the “same old”, and also angry and frustrated at a country gradually sinking into the swamp and where, increasingly, nothing works as it should.

As a matter of fact, I can see the once-great Conservative Party declining, at a 2028 or 2029 General Election, to as low as 12% of the vote (as hard-core very elderly Conservative Party voters cease to live); that would mean only 3-5 Con MPs surviving. End of the line.

An opinion poll, I think by YouGov, states that 60% of UK adults are generally in favour of the UK government’s “Net Zero” nonsense. Interesting video about the Vanunu case

Whatever may be said about MOSSAD, there is little doubt that, over many decades, it has proven, repeatedly, its ability to undertake complex assignments, and to bring those assignments to a successful conclusion.

I found myself wondering how it was that, after Vanunu’s product found its way into the Sunday Times, MI5 was unaware of the fact that Vanunu was being honeytrapped?

Or was MI5 (and/or SIS/MI6) in fact perfectly aware, but let the thing continue? Why would MI5 or SIS do that? Well, maybe to keep UK-Israel relations stable by allowing (whether expressly or tacitly) MOSSAD to abduct Vanunu from a third country (as it turned out, Italy), thus allowing British services and government to wash their hands of it all. “Nothing to do with us, ‘guv”.

We shall only know for sure by reference to the records of MI5, SIS, or Israeli Intelligence, and that is not going to happen in our lifetimes.

A barrister speaks…

Worth watching/hearing, but his final advice to join the so-called “Free Speech Union” hits a bum note.

The “FSU”, set up by Toby Young, has never once helped anyone attacked for their speech or online opinions by the Jew-Zionist lobby, aka Israel lobby, such as (most egregiously) the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”, headed by a liar and perjurer called Gideon Falter, who is assisted by another liar, and maker of false accusations, called (by me) “Slitherman”, who calls himself their “Head of Investigations and Enforcement”. At present, the “CAA” is privately prosecuting (criminally) several persons: Dr. David Miller, Nick Griffin, black comedian Reginald D. Hunter; others too. The “CAA” is also conspiring against people such as NHS doctor Dr. Rahmeh Aladwan.

The “CAA” even tried to get the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to resign (or to have him dismissed), and to that end contrived a street provocation using Gideon Falter, who then —once more— lied to get what he wanted but, as often in the past, failed.

All of that activity is an abuse of the English legal system, so-called “lawfare”, on behalf of Israel and its fanatical fifth column in the UK.

So what has the “Free Speech Union” had to say about the “CAA” and its abusive behaviour (including its attacks on me)? Nothing. So to me, the FSU is the same— nothing.

Saturday quiz

Well, only 4/10 this week, but still enough to beat (again) political journalist John Rentoul, who scored only 2/10. I knew the answers to questions 2, 8, 9, and 10. I might also have got question 4, had I thought for longer, but there it is.

We in Europe must regain the self-confidence to proclaim that, yes, there is a hierarchy of cultures, a hierarchy of religions, and a hierarchy of races as well, and that our Western white European cultures stand objectively higher than those of Africa, Asia etc.

Some cultures, some races, are relatively superior; others are relatively inferior.

Britain has gradually become a kind of disguised police state or repression-of-opinions state, and malicious special-interest groups (such as the notorious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”) have been taking advantage of bad laws passed in the past 50 years, but particularly the past 25 under the Blair-Brown governments but also by the government of Theresa May, another politician totally in the Jew-Zionist/Israel pocket (and a likely half-Jewess herself).

I am not a football supporter. I had to look up the name Joey Barton to be sure that he was somehow connected to football (think I had vaguely heard the name), and I had certainly no idea who were Lucy Ward and Eni Aluko; never heard of either of them (I do know, of course, who that ghastly over-paid msm creature Jeremy Vine is).

Having now read the “grossly offensive” posts (“offensive” being OK, “grossly offensive” not OK…and there is no legal distinction save as to consequences, and no usable definition or method of separating the two), I personally find a few rather silly, but that is no reason for someone to be hauled before a Crown Court.

What we have here, in my opinion, is a mass media class, over-paid, over-privileged, unwilling to accept criticism. If any of them want to punish defamatory or otherwise wrongful statements about them, the laws of libel (etc) are there to help them. Civil law, not criminal.

I should be interested to know the composition of the jury. I dare say that, had this been an American trial (which could never happen anyway, by reason of the U.S. Constitutional free speech protections), there would be a jury selection process enabling the defence lawyers to object to, for example, blacks, women, certain football supporters, people who are fans of the “victims” etc. None of that happens now in England.

Maybe Dan Hodges is unaware of my experiences in this regard (despite my prosecution/persecution having been covered by the BBC, Sky News, Daily Mail etc…)

Yes. The bimbo on the Good Morning Britain sofa, whoever she is, simply and patronisingly “humoured” him, and quickly closed him down before he said anything to the nationwide audience that might be really critical of the sick, decadent, multikulti Britain that now exists.

Yes. That is a very partial view. Fresh vegetables and fruits, when available, were unrationed. Some vegetables were abundant and actually had to be promoted by ads; potato, carrot etc. Fresh fish was unrationed (though in short supply), and bread was unrationed until after the war. Such people would also often have extensive wine cellars, so would have been able to drink French (and German!) wines bought before 1940.

I recall that the Cornish country house of which I had a lease (about 22 or so years ago) had quite large wine cellars (unstocked when I was there) which brought to mind the horror film adaptations of the works of Edgar Allan Poe:

Nuts, berries etc would also have been available.

The big shortage would have been butter (olive oil was all but unknown to most British people in the 1930s and 1940s and anyway unavailable). Sugar was another big shortage, of course.

I happened to be watching a recorded episode of Celebrity Chase quiz show. I only recognized two of the four “celebrities”, one of which was the unpleasant, and at one time more famous, Janet Street-Porter. She, like so many “celebrities” on such shows, displayed an almost total lack of knowledge. My problem with that is that such people are put before the public on TV and radio etc as if sage, or at least sensible. They are usually neither.

Incidentally, the “Chaser” was Shaun Wallace, a West Indian who is or was also a low-level criminal barrister, and who, in 2016, was up before the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal in the same week as me. Well, the fallout of the Huntingdon train attack continues.

I presume that the attacker (now said to be one, not a pair) thought that the train would not stop until the next scheduled stop (I believe, Stevenage), and so his rampage would be able to run for much longer).

Now we see a large number of MPs, msm scribblers and talking heads etc desperate to say that the attacker was “British”, i.e. had a British passport and/or was born here, despite being a black. The said msm and political drones are also keen to say that, if there was a mental health issue involved, in theory it could as easily have been a white man who attacked.

Well, I was born in England in 1956 and, for my whole life up to quite recent years, never heard of rampages (not isolated criminal stabbings) with knives, machetes etc until this country became a dustbin for backward blacks and browns (etc) from all over the world. Not on trains. Not in the streets of London or other cities.

Mass immigration into the UK has been disastrous, actually reducing by a significant amount the average IQ of this country, apart from everything else.

This morning, I saw on Sky News or BBC News the release of that silly British girl from prison in Georgia. She looked nothing like the sexy little thing she was. Not only, apparently, pregnant, but looking about 40 years old.

I assumed, when I heard that the prosecution/defence deal had had its terms altered suddenly, that money had changed hands. The msm now says that it did. £145,000, apparently. Where from? Don’t know.

Only early afternoon, yet already 909 individual visitors. Not sure why the blog has suddenly become far more popular over the past week, but glad that more human souls are reading it.

So far today, visitors from the USA, UK, Australia, Chile, Turkey, and China (in order of magnitude). Until the last few days, and for most of the 9 years the blog has been running, about 70% of visitors have been from the UK, but today over half of the readers have been from the USA, and only a quarter from the UK.

In fact, I now see (half an hour later), that there have already been over 1,100 individual visitors today. Still nearly 11 hours to go before midnight, too. Not sure of the reason why, suddenly, the blog has exploded, but thank God my message is getting out into the world more.

Sabrina Miller even went further, writing that it was worth thinking about whether bestiality itself should be decriminalized.

Sabrina Miller is or was heavily tied-in with various “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] scams. Not just the harassment of Dr. Miller.

For example, Sabrina Miller, as a Mail “journalist”, colluded with (now washed-up) self-promoting Jew solicitor Mark Lewis in the latter’s failed attempt to make money and publicity out of a faked “antisemitic incident” at the Edinburgh Fringe show of a black American comedian called Reginald D. Hunter. Lewis and his wife/carer Mandy Blumenthal had both made money from an earlier and similar fraudulent scam involving a Middle East airline.

Incidentally, both Dr. David Miller and Reginald D. Hunter are now being privately prosecuted by that same tiny but (((well-funded))) and very malicious Jewish/Zionist org, “Campaign Against Antisemitism”.

I was just watching an episode, I think 5 years or so old, of The Chase. A question was asked re. which Prime Minister was “put into Room 101“, (the UK TV show) by Jeremy Clarkson. A choice of three, which the contestant answered, correctly, as having been David Cameron. The Chaser, “the Vixen”, Jenny Ryan, also answered correctly. However, presenter Bradley Walsh said, en passant, “I’d have gone Chamberlain”, and the “Vixen” said “I’m with you there“.

What they were really saying is that Chamberlain was rubbish because he tried to avert the disastrous war against the German Reich.

Neither Jenny Ryan nor Bradley Walsh are Jewish, but what they were doing there was making a kind of ritual minor obeisance to the Jewish lobby. To put it another way, they were signalling a kind of fealty.

The fact is that no-one the Jews/Jewish lobby/Israel lobby dislikes or disapproves will get on TV (and so make plenty of money) or stay there if they hold the “wrong” opinions. I can guarantee that if either of those TV faces were to have said, e.g., “well at least Chamberlain tried to avert a disastrous war“, that would be the end of their TV career. Just that. Well, something seems to have happened over the last week— I admit that I am unused to having well over 1,000 individuals reading the blog in a single day (over 1,300 today, so far, and with still an hour to go before midnight), and those ~1,400 people have been reading a total of about 2,500 blog posts (so far today). For me, even one human soul is a big audience, in principle. Still, all to the good.

Britain needs a real Border Force, not the present Border Farce which actually ferries migrant invaders into the UK!

I have to say that the Grenzpolizei, on the couple of occasions when I encountered them, were both amiable and alarmingly efficient, for example when I and my driver were processed through a small crossing-point (we were the only car, in fact the only vehicle travelling West, in an hour spent there). They (politely, efficiently) emptied the contents of the car (a Volvo estate or station-wagon), then partially dismantled the car, taking out, entirely, various parts, including the seats (they did put it all together again later).

While many who are hostile to Reform will be crowing because Plaid Cymru won that by-election, in big-picture terms the second place for Reform is far more significant.

Plaid only does well in a few places in Wales, and makes no pretence of being a UK-wide party. It has 4 MPs at Westminster (out of 32 Welsh seats), 2 peers (out of 828), and 14 Senedd members (out of 60).

Reform has just captured 36% of the votes at the Caerphilly by-election, more than impressive from a standing start and for a party basically perceived as English.

The main System parties have been trashed by the voters who bothered to vote (turnout was just over 50%): Labour, the previous holders of the seat, fell from 45.9% to a mere 11%. The Conservative party fell far too, from 17.3% to a mere 2%. Reform’s 35% this time can be compared to its previous result (2.2%, though some sources say 1.7%; no matter).

This has huge implications for both local and Westminster elections in England, of course.

Reform has achieved this level of support not because people love it, its policies, or its leader, Farage, but because people now hate and despise both main System parties. The SNP suddenly became pre-eminent in Scotland in 2015 not because many Scots loved or much-supported it, but because the Labour and other parties’ votes collapsed.

Think about it. Labour support overall is running at about 15%-25%, say 20% or thereabouts. Britain is now 20% non-white; Muslims are about 8% or maybe 10% of the population. Until recently, almost all voted Labour. Hardly any white English voters, in particular, now intend to vote Labour.

Dan Hodges trying to spin the Caerphilly result as not terribly good for Reform UK, despite their vote having increased from around 2% to 36%! Look at Labour— 11%. Or Conservative Party— 2%.

Another way to look on the Caerphilly result might be to say that, if Reform can get a 36% result in a core part of Wales, what will it be getting in much of England.

I have no quarrel with that, but Dan Hodges is trying to stem the tide with words.

It may well be that Reform cannot get more, overall, than 35% or even a few points below that (in that poll, 29%). What Hodges does not seem to want to say, though, is that a party which gets even 29% in a general election can very easily still be the party that gets a plurality of votes and a plurality of Commons seats, maybe even a majority of seats.

On the figures above, Reform would still get about 370 Commons seats, and a solid majority. Labour might get 89 seats, the LibDems 69, the SNP 45, Cons about 21, and Greens 18.

Conservative Party would be only the fifth-largest party in the Commons.

Yes, but the idea that voters who dislike Reform will vote tactically on a big enough scale to stop the Reform deluge is very doubtful. Dent the juggernaut, yes, stop it, no. Some of the results might be unpredictable.

If Hodges says that Caerphilly was bad for Farage and Reform, how much worse was it for Starmer and Labour, or Badenoch and the Con Party?

How about tackling the problem of Israeli “proxies”, and the Israeli “Fifth Column” in the UK?

So without tactical anti-Reform voting, an overall 25% vote for Reform UK would give Reform 200+ votes, maybe 250. With tactical voting, Reform might get “only” 150-200…

The System drones are getting desperate. Even 150 MPs is massive for a party which presently has half a dozen. Also, from where does the “25%” come? Reform is currently far higher in the polls and was, recently, as high as 36%.

The fact is that the “Overton Window” is moving fast now. The Lab and Con System parties are dying. Reform, though underwhelming, is a symptom of the (mainly) white, mainly English voters losing patience.

If Reform forms a government but then fails to do “the necessary”, real social nationalism can take the reins, with the support of enough people to take power. The NSDAP in Germany had only 2.6% of the national vote in 1928, but by 1932 had 33%, and Hitler was able to take over the rulership of the country.

If fake Labour can lose about three-quarters (in fact, more than 3/4) of their previous vote in formerly rock-solid Caerphilly, in South Wales, where Labour votes were once said to be “weighed not counted“, the fall in support in most parts of England must surely be as much or more, arguende. If so, then the number of Labour MPs in or after 2029 would surely be somewhere around 75.

Likewise, but even more striking, the Con vote in Caerphilly was around one-eighth of its previous level. Were that to happen in England and at a general election, the number of Con MPs would be around 15.

Some years ago, I realized that “nothing works properly any more” in the UK, and both tweeted (when I was still on Twitter, i.e. until 2018) and blogged about it. Others probably came to a similar realization at about the same time.

Since then, political activists, including Reform UK people such as Farage and Matt Goodwin, among many others, have taken up the refrain. In fact, it is now heard everywhere.

I encountered a “small” (but telling) example yesterday.

In the past, meaning until a year or two ago, doing some minor transaction in a bank was simple. You went in, there were several cashiers (or, in the American usage, tellers) there, you did your business and left. Easy. Now? For one thing, in the UK, you cannot simply pay a small sum in cash into someone else’s account. Oh, no, that might facilitate “money-laundering” (we are told), so you have to go through the slightly tedious process of paying the said sum into your own account, then transferring the money into the account of that other person.

Now, the banks have found other ways to make life difficult for their own customers. On entering the bank branch in question, one of only two left in the high street of my local small town, I saw the branch fairly crowded —usually, there are only one or two people there (and one cashier, where there used to be three or four).

Anyway, I paid in a modest sum to my own account via a machine. That went OK, but then I had to get the sum transferred to the destination account. That used to mean approaching someone sitting behind a desk. They would then do what was necessary in about a minute. Now? Oh, no, far too easy…

Some drone with a name-tag round his neck (one of several seen hanging about yesterday) approached me with an electronic tablet of some kind, and informed me that customers now had to “sign in” with their names… I gave him my name. He entered it on his device. He then informed me that there were 4 or 5 people ahead of me, and would I like to take a seat and wait… I had no time to waste, so gave up the idea and walked (maybe stomped) out.

What is this utter CRAP all about? The drone in question (not one of the usual staff, so obviously bussed in, with others, for this display of pointlessness) had asked me whether I do online banking. In other words, the banks want people to go online (only) and are making it awkward to do even the simplest things in person at a branch.

One small example of how everyday life in the UK has become —has been made— increasingly awkward, difficult, fraught. There are countless others, and the aim seems to be to reduce the individual to a number and a password on a screen, a kind of virtual (in either sense) serf, in short.

What I experienced yesterday was an example of deliberately “nudging” bank customers to go away and go online. The branch (in fact, all branches) can then be shut down, closed, sold off, the few remaining staff made redundant, and the quite grand building sold to become, probably, a bar or bistro.

Incidentally, opening hours have also been reduced; the branch is now open only 0930-1530.

Anyone who replies that bank opening hours were always about 6 hours a day misses the point that, as late as 1970, only 25% of British people even had a bank account (true, believe it or not).

The general dissatisfaction with UK society (and, so, politics) is not only fuelled by the black/brown migration invasion, or by other big issues being appallingly-incompetently —or deliberately-badly— handled, but by the fact that everyday life is now bedevilled by pointless, time-consuming, and utterly inflexible procedures and protocols, the aim of none of which is to help the individual, and still less to serve him.

As said, a small example of larger trends.

You only have to look at the recent Labour Party Conference to see how utterly isolated the present government and its unthinking, corralled supporters are. Labour is around 20% in the polls, and at least half of those intending Labour voters, maybe as high as three quarters, are actually not really British at all. Blacks and browns, so to speak.

My own assessment is that the (real) English/British people have pretty much given up on the Labour Party. That, however, is also true of the Conservative Party, surprisingly up slightly to 20% in that poll, but as low as 14% in some others.

I was talking to an elderly lady who lives in one of the most solid Conservative Party strongholds in the South of England. Apparently, all the other elderly people she knows, almost all of whom who used to vote Con (the odd LibDem too), are now determined to vote Reform when they can; all of them.

Anecdotal, yes, but a straw in the wind that seems to mirror the opinion polls of the past 9-12 months.

I have blogged about all this, years ago. My point was that, at first at least, it will not be compulsory to hold digital ID. As with smartphones, computers, online this and that, you will not exactly be forced to comply. It is just that everyday life will become impossible without all that. Life is already difficult without smartphones, online access etc, but you can still just about do it, though only at the (literal) expense of paying more for less. In the near future, you will pretty much have to drop out of society if you do not wish to go along with the tide.

Starmer has gone further yet, in saying that he wants to make digital ID mandatory. Perhaps he has given away the game by speaking openly about this aspect of the overall conspiracy, and the System will now revert to slowly making life impossible without it, that is until a better opportunity arises to make the entire population digital serfs on pain of imprisonment or death (eg by the withholding of food or medical care —you may be unable to buy food unless you have the digital ID, you may be refused medical treatment etc).
